Oh, how I hate to write this review....

By Eric M |

I do love Mia's.....But Yesterday was Tuesday and at Mia's that means Chile Relleno----and everyone knows that Mia's has the best. I'm having trouble typing this.......But Last night they were just not very good. At all. I am now perplexed with what to do next...do I continue to visit Mia's and enjoy the other wonderful Tex-Mex dishes? Or do I sit on the side for awhile and see what's going on there? They've been around so long---I will give them another shot...eventually

Good Food Slow Pace

By metntex |

Went here with family for holiday dinner. Parking can be a bear, but they do offer valet. Suggest you get here early (before 6) or you’ll wait 45 minutes to an hour for a table. Bar service was quite the experience. Barmaid/hostess/waitress took our order. Made my wife’s margarita then went off and did something then came back and got my beer then left and came back then I paid. OK. Food is pretty good. They kept the chips and salsa coming and drinks full. I had the brisket tacos which were great. Others in the party enjoyed their meals as well. We were disappointed that the sopapillas has cinnamon and sugar in them as we prefer them plain. Would we go back. Yes.

Our new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant!

By russkwtx |

I liked everything about this place: the ambiance, the service, the food, the vibe, everything. It's our new Tex-Mex favorite! We started with half order of nachos locos ($8.95). Tortilla chips were crispy and fresh, not greasy. Generous toppings, really good nachos. I would recommend the ground beef, nicely flavored. Would get them again for sure. I ordered the brisket tacos based on Yelp reviews and they were spot on: best brisket tacos I have ever had. By far. For $11.25 they are fairly priced. They alone are worth 5 stars. The wife got brisket enchiladas and also really liked them ($9.95). We were stuffed and could not eat everything. Portions are generous. Margaritas are only $8 which in Dallas is now a good price. We went the day before Thanksgiving and by the time we left there was a long line and tons of people in the bar and outside waiting for a table. I was shocked because I thought it would be empty before Thanksgiving and had no idea this place is so popular. But with such high quality food it is easy to see why. We will return for sure.

So Good

By evildiva2016 |

Don't judge a book by its cover. To look at the outside I was skeptical. Stepped inside and it became apparent in was in for a treat. Family owned and operated. So busy on a Wednesday night, we had a 20 minute wait. Was worth the wait! Enchiladas, brisket tacos, it was all superb! Service was fast and yet very committed to each patron. Highly recommend to anyone wanting real text mex!

Fantastic food

I had the Tacos al carbon. The meat was so tender and marinated. Everything else was great. Nice locations, friendly staff. I will go again next time in Dallas.

Yummy Brisket Enchiladas

A favorite of locals, the food and service will not disappoint. Staff is so friendly and I enjoyed the food immensely

Best Tex Mex!

By IAlwaysWantToGo |

This was my second visit to Mia's and it is just as wonderful as it was the last time. The chips and salsa served before our meal were awesome! I ordered one of the lunch specials Beef taco hard shell, cheese enchilada, and a chicken enchilada with a white sauce that was amazing! I wish we had a Mia's where I live!

Authentic Mexican

By maggie_cassell |

This is place that you will want to come back to again. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the Tacos al Carbon. Two very good size soft tacos with a generous amount of beef flank steak. The bean soup was absolutely delicious- a definite must try.

Brisket Tacos

By Mark S |

Not great, but good service. Valet park is complimentary. Excellent brisket tacos! Will definitely visit again next time in Dallas.

Always consistent!

I have been dining here for about 15 years. I had not been in a couple of years. My husband and I recently bought a food truck so we wanted to do some comparisons lol!! They have impeccable perfect flawless service. Really cute atmosphere very clean. The queso Blanco was wonderful and the chips were like crispy and perfect/not too salty . We tried the brisket taco and it was wonderful, moist and completely full of protein fresh lettuce, and fresh cheese, bell pepper onion absolutely incredible . I love the cold salsa, but I’m not very crazy about the salsa Verde - I had the Lola dinner, which is the queso Chalupa, the guacamole Chalupa and the bean Chalupa with lettuce cheese and tomato loaded up It never disappoints ! Crispy not soggy tons of guacamole lots of toppings extremely fresh I absolutely love this place and will continue to return every time I’m in Dallas great job!!! oh and did I say how reasonable the prices are???!!!!

Great food, great service!

By TXHorns99 |

Ordered chile con queso & guacamole for appetizers, both were fantastic! I had the beef fajitas, others in the group had 50/50 fajitas, enchiladas, & tacos. Everything came out quick, hot, & delicious. The salsa is a little mild for my taste, so I asked for a spicier version, & the waiter quickly returned with a custom-made spicy version. Our waiter did an excellent job of keeping our drinks, chips, & salsa bowls full, despite having a large number of tables. I would highly recommend trying Mia's Tex Mex, you will not be disappointed!

Good Food, Great Service and Reasonable Prices

By JSTrip_77 |

When we pulled up at the restaurant, known for its reasonable prices, and I saw that there was valet parking, I was suspicious. However, that was just outside. The restaurant was crowded with families, friends and couples. The place immediately gives off a great sensation of community. The menu is quite extensive but really consists of the basics - which it does right. My friend had been there many times over more than 15 years and was eager to share this gem. I wasn't disapppointed!

Still Fab after All These Years

By Yippie-Yi-O |

I don't recall when they opened, but I feel like I first went to Mia's in the late 80's. It was excellent and I loved it. A recent visit sold me on them again. The food was fab! We loved everything we ordered. The guacamole was tasty and the mixed fajitas were great. The patio was a fun spot to enjoy a late lunch. The place has a nice energy.

Excellent Tex Mex restaurant in Dallas

By sealcoater |

Mia's is a find in Dallas. The restaurant serves excellent Tex -Mex food. They have the best taco I have ever eaten anywhere in the US and Mexico. It is a brisket taco. It is divine, delicious, superb, wonderful . Even these words do not adequately let you know how wonderful they are. All of their other Tex-Mex creations are good as well.

MIA'S is mia favarita TexMex in the Dallas area

By bouncebackmom |

On business- my van driver, Stephen, at the Holiday Inn Dallas Market Center recommended Mia's for an authentic experience. But I have food allergies so before being seated , the Manager TONY took time consulting with me. It was time well-spent because his recommendations were thoughtful and spot on!! Shrimp, spinach and mushroom quesadilla. The place was packed with a lively, fiesta-like atmosphere, but the manager made time to be sure my selection would please my palate. And they delivered incredible Quacomole!! Oh my gosh. Holy Quacamole it was addicting. The home made tortillas were fluffy and crisp and PACKED with fresh ingredients and flavor. And the portion was large enough to feed mia familia. Do NOT miss mia MIA's!!! See the photos. Dios Mia!!! Fantastic meal. Nice people, and a repeat-worthy dining experience and very reasonably priced and easy on my expense account. Also Good for solo, business lunch, or with friends.

Bedt Tex Mex in Dallas

By Frank B |

I hadn't been here in 25 yesrs but was back in Dallas so I stopped in. The only thing that had changed was they expanded inyo the parking lot. Still outstanding food.

Best Mexican food in Dallas!

By Rocky H |

Excellent food! Fast and friendly service! Best waiter award should go to Able, who didn't miss a beat and recommended the butch's tacos without me asking...he saw the confusion on my face about what to order, and hit a home run! Mexican plate was ordered by friends and looked and tasted great as well. Highly recommend this place when in Dallas, more than one location.

Flavorful TexMex

By Rob F |

This was our second visit to Mia's but it sure won't be the last. Although the venue is older and smaller in comparison to the typical eating establishment of today. Exceeding all expectations this wonderful eatery can boast warm chips, flavorful hot sauce, and outstanding entrees topped with some of the most delightful sauces a person could anticipate. The prices are affordable and appropriate for the generous servings. This is a must visit stop in Dallas.

Excellent!

By Ana Carmen |

This is an older restaurant with good service and great food. They offer valet parking. Honestly could do with a renovation inside. Now about the food: my first time there and the waiter recommended the brisket tacos, one flour, one corn tortilla. Simply delicious! The guacamole was very good as were the chips. The swirl margaritas were excellent! I highly recommend.

Very good Tex-Mex

By jomjr6 |

We were in Dallas on business and several people suggested this restaurant. It is small but thankfully they do have valet parking. The half order of chicken and steak fajitas were good and piping hot. The salsa was very good and not overly hot. The only odd thing was the queso; it was very thick and not what we were accustomed to. Service was good and so were the margaritas!

Authentic Tex-Mex

By Gary C |

I have eaten here for years and never been disappointed. This is authentic Tex-Mex owned and operated by a long-term family in Dallas. You may have to wait for a table but don't leave...................it will be worth it.

Warm welcome. Attentive service. Good food.

By bouncebackmom |

Between lunch and dinner in Dallas can Sought Mia's out again for round two to see if it was as good as I remembered. Showed the waiter a photo of the last meal I enjoyed here and he showed the picture to the chef. Less that 10 minutes to a delightful reproduction of the original. Delicioso Bravo chef!

Mi Familia

By Rocco G |

This is not a quiet quaint place, and that is exactly why I love it! I travel for a living, today Dallas, next month Boston. I come from a huge Italian family. On the road, I eat alone every night. The second I walked in, Tony remembered me. There is grandma and the family eating like they own the place. Well actually they do. The food (brisket tacos) was just ridiculously delicious. There is Spanish songs being sung at a nearby table by an uncle with a fedora. If Bedford Falls had s Mexican restaurant, the Bailey's would have loved it here. If that makes any sense to you, this is your new place. It's busy yet you feel like they would be upset if you didn't show up. Im 100% European I did the DNA test. In here, im Just another 6'4" 240 LB white Mexican. Its a wonderful restaurant.

Mia's has jumped the shark

By gkrebus1 |

(One because there was no Zero) Truly sad to see the state of Mia's service/food at the "new" location. Brought an older friend in for the first (and as he said)-Last time. We were not carrying cell phone's, they had no printed menu's. We are both older and a tad hard of hearing, the ambient noise made it nearly impossible to hear the waiter. The waiter was short with my friend about not having printed menu's, he became more intemeperant when he could not understand him. Food was TV dinner-ish at best. Floors were very slippery for our rubber soled shoes. Truly a sad state of affairs for this once fine mark.

I just don't understand the hoopla

By AppleStud |

Seating is fine but chairs not most comfortable. Food is pricey in my opinion for mid-range. I used to live nearby and would go more often at that time.

I Never Rate Five

By SouthernTrifecta |

Its been thirty years since I last ate at this well established place on Lemmon...back then it had a great reputation I felt was not always warranted. Then again, it was a little pricey for the time and the place was hard to get into. For once - a place actually makes big strides in improving itself. The food was outstanding. Guacamole salad was fresh and just like I make at home. The hot sauce was much better than I recall with lots of peppers and not watered down with a lot of tomato juice. More than anything the brisket nachos were out of this world. Too often brisket in Tex Mex places is greasy and leaves you feeling like you wish you had just stayed home - not here. The brisket was the best ever (here I am not talking BBQ - but baked brisket commonly used in Tex Mex). This wasn't greasy and fatty, but moist and meaty. The cheese they used was perfect...lots of jalapenos and sour cream. Watching other tables being served all of the dishes looked great. I live up and down I35 from Dallas to San Antonio and beyond...This was the BEST Tex Mex I have had in years....

Late night meal

By Texastech1980 |

My wife and I came in with 45 minutes until it closed and we were greeted with good service, great appetizer, and a fulfilling meal that neither of us could finish! Try the Queso Chorizo appetizer, it’s awesome!

BEWARE: No Separate Checks/Bill and No Different Amounts When Paying by Credit Card

By CurtisinCali |

I went to Mia's for an early dinner with friends around 4:30pm on Wednesday, 2/8/24. Before the bill was presented, I asked that my appetizer and soda be on a separate check. Our waiter said he could not split the check/bill. I was very surprised by his answer but chose not to argue or escalate the issue. We received the bill and all three of us decided to pay with our credit cards. We told the waiter when he returned how much to charge on each card. Again, he said they didn't do that and had to split the bill evenly among all three credit cards. None of us argued or escalated the issue to management but were not happy with his response. I expect it is not a restaurant policy and that the waiter simply did not want to take the time to split our bill. Regardless, we left a 20% tip (which I am now regretting). I am not planning to return to Mia's and will tell my family and friends to no longer patronize this restaurant. I recommend going to Casa Rosa about 2 miles away on Lemmon Ave instead. I am sure they will gladly accommodate a reasonable request. I do not recommend Mia's.

Solid Recommendation

By Rome |

Stopped by Mia's on the recommendation from a friend, and I can confidently say that I was not let down. Food: I ordered the brisket tacos. I usually get worried when a meal only comes with two tacos, but Mia was very generous with the brisket portions, so between that, the sides, and the complimentary chips and salsa I definitely left satisfied. Service: Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly, and made sure all of my needs were attended to, the only complaint I'd have is that I wasn't offered a menu, nor was I instructed on how to access one, so if I hadn't already figured out my order before I arrived I would have been left to guess what they offered until someone brought me in to the know. Side note: The parking on site is valet only, so if the lot is full or you don't want to pay you'll have to find parking on one of the surrounding streets.

Amazed!

By Inner Happiness |

Mia's Tex-Mex Restaurant in Dallas is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Tex-Mex cuisine! The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it perfect for both family dinners and casual outings. Service is consistently praised for being friendly and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels like home

New location… still awesome!

By Richard O |

My family and I have been going to Mia's for over 20 years. I was a little nervous when they moved into their new location, the former BuzzBrews, but when we got there it was the same welcoming faces and fantastic food and awesome margaritas! Brisket Tacos for all...sunset sauce with the chips and the BEST flan ever for desert. Can't go wrong with Mia's !

Best Mexican food!!! The

Threat Tex-Mex

By Lloyd B |

Always super good Tex-Mex! Service as good as the food. Very economical. Cold long necks and good margaritas. Chips and salsa excellent. Dallas is the Mecca of Tex-Mex and Mia's ranks at the top!

Fantastico!

By Jerseygirl S |

As a Texan who lives in the wilds of Greenwich, Connecticut (smile), I was craving Tex-Mex when I came to Dallas. My friend introduced me to Mia's. Wow. This is the "real deal"! They had so many wonderful things on the menu but I was in the mood for enchiladas. I sampled three--two beef enchiladas with chili (the best chili I have ever had on an enchilada, by the way) and a chicken enchilada with a cream sauce that was to die for. I sampled a few other things my friend ordered but I missed the brisket taco! I guess I will just have to return to Mia's a few more times to to correct my mistake (yum...). I truly think one could order anything here and it would be delicious. They know what they are doing! Our waiter was superb (wish I had gotten his name). Thank you Mia's! See you on my next trip to Dallas!

Great TexMex and reasonable prices

By David S |

We called ahead, and were told the wait is about 30 minutes. They were not doing reservations or "call aheads". All of the parking is valet parking. But the only cost is what you tip the valet. When we arrived they said the wait was 45 minutes, but if we wanted to sit outside, we could sit immediately. We chose that, as the weather was nice. The salsa and queso were great. I tried the brisket tacos, and they were very good. Our daughter is a little picky - she ordered one of the enchiladas, but it wasn't quite the same as she's used to, so I swapped one of my brisket tacos, and she thought that was great. Our server was very attentive. They do have both flour and corn tortillas available.

Food is amazing, atmosphere is loud

By Cody H |

The food here was amazing! Great chips and salsa. Enchiladas and tacos were great. Only downside is the limited seating and loud atmosphere. Worth it if there’s a short wait.

1st time at Mia's

By Dave C |

Based on Trip Advisor rankings we chose Mia's. My whole family enjoyed our experience here. Salsa was great, with a little more kick than what we are used to back in Missouri. :) The queso was a yellow cheese with great flavor. My wife had brisket tacos and thought they were delicious. My street tacos were packed with beef. Your toppings were on the side so you could mix and match on your own. Bean soup... similar to ham and beans were packed with flavor. Mexican rice was good with everyone.

Same as it ever was! Amazingly consistent Tex-Mex from a local family!

By Chris F |

Having recently relocated back home to Texas after 15 years on the east coast and abroad, I took my wife to Mia's last Friday. I believe the last time I ate at this great little Tex-Mex casa on Lemmon was 12 years ago while visiting old friends. After all these years, Mia's is the same as it ever was and delivers like a champ! The queso con chorizo is amazing and more like a cheese enchilada. Margaritas are great, tacos al carbo and brisket tacos all amazing. Ground beef taco was a bit salty for my taste, but still fresh and yummy. The best part of this place is the people and the price. Can't beat it. While there are other Dallas chain restaurants that are similar in quality (I love these places too), if you want authentic Tex-Mex in a real, authentic environment that hasn't changed for years, head to Mia's.

Fajita steak

By Sherry R |

We were looking for a place near our meeting. Came across this little jewel by T A. Loved the 50/50 nachos and the tacos el carbon. Lots of steak!!! And it was great. Very friendly and fast service. Will be back if in the area again

Saturday lunch

By t0dd1968 |

Fantastic! Great service. Great brisket tacos. The salsa was perfect - not too mild, not too hot. No fuss food. Loved it. And Diana took great care of us.

Good Food, Good Prices, lot of food.

By Spock_Hamilton1012 |

So when you first pull up the valet park your for you. Then you walk in the door. Now be prepared to wait a little while this place gets really busy. When you get seated they bring you chips and salsa now the salsa was really hot. So we order some queso which was really like nacho cheese but it was really good. For dinner I had the 50/50 fajita spilt. OMG the food was so good. I was really recommend this place.

Brisket Taco "The Original" home

By Bowlz |

As far as Tex-Mex goes, this is a staple! While there are probably 5+ Tex-Mex restaurants on this street alone and another 10+ in about a 1.5 radius; this one is a lunch favorite. Comp valet parking, quick seating, fast turnarounds and SOLID food. If you can only have one thing, then get the brisket tacos and treat yourself to an al cart cheese enchilada. Always test a Tex-Mex with a cheese enchilada. They nail it every time. Recommend for lunch, not dinner...just the vibe is more lunch to me.

Don't go anywhere else!

By velvetn2013 |

This was our first stop in Dallas after arriving because of all the awesome reviews we read. It did not disappoint. Don't be intimidated by the wait. We showed up at 6:30 on a Saturday night and were seated in 20 minutes. Go ahead and order the brisket tacos too. We ordered the tacos and a chimichanga and I wish we would have gotten 2 orders of the brisket tacos! The guacamole is exactly what you want from a Mexican restaurant and the chips and salsa do not disappoint either. We will definitely be back!!

Authentic Tex Mex

By maceyryan |

It's a good place for lunch before flying out of Love Field. You can definitely tell it's authentic Tex Mex- it's the real McCoy! And super friendly service, esp. if you go there often to where they recognize you.

2nd time

By thollandam |

This place is pretty good. The parking lot is small, so they have complementary valet parking. It's usually pretty busy, so be prepared to wait to be seated. The restaurant is kind of small and cozy. The chips and salsa are good. The margaritas are small and about $9, but are good. We had the swirl and the mango. Both are good. The chicken enchiladas are good, but the sour cream sauce has a lemon flavor. The chimichunga with beef fajita is really good. I'm getting that next time. My friend loved her taco.

Great food and service

By AMarie56 |

I tried a few different Tex mex places while in Dallas and this was definitely the best of what I tried. I HIGHLY recommend the brisket tacos which is served with gravy for dipping. Everyone gets there own individual salsas to go with the chips before dinner. Our waitress was wonderful and shared stories about how she had once waited on George W. Bush and told us about other famous people who had been to the restaurant. She was attentive and the service was great! I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Dallas again.

It's Good Enough for Jerry, so it's good enough for me.

By BrandiStacey |

We dined at Mia's while in Dallas for a conference. Being told Jerry Jones is a frequent customer piqued our interest, and we weren't disappointed. Portions are huge, margaritas are strong, and servers treat you like family.

Crazy busy but that all adds to the fantastic atmosphere - and the food is out of this world!

By Brett B |

We cannot speak highly enough of this place. We were recommended it last time we were in Dallas by a Mexican fellow and we were not disappointed then either! This time around we sought this place out because it was so good last time. There are no bookings which is fine because you can have a beer/wine or a margarita while you wait for a table. We were told about 20 mins but it was less than than (1.5 beers to be exact). Our server Minnie (see photos) was outstanding! She kept the corn chips and salsa coming at all times and nothing was too much trouble. The drinks were also quick to arrive and the food was not too far after that! It's a pretty big menu and be warned that the servings are pretty big too! It has a fiesta atmosphere and all of the staff are all super friendly and polite. They work hard too, running back and forth to the kitchen and making sure everyone is well fed and watered! We had the mixed fajitas and the shrimp tacos. Oh my hat were they good! We couldn't finish them either - and Minnie offered for us to take the rest out but we didn't worry as we don't have a fridge in our hotel that we could use to store the leftovers. Also while were eating I asked for a seriously hot salsa which Minnie got the kitchen to make up in a flash - and it had plenty of bite! Just what I needed! It is definitely worth a visit if nothing for the atmosphere. You feel like you are in Mexico when you are there. Minnie told us they do an awesome breakfast too - we hope to try that tomorrow!

Our second visit from south Alabama

By Kimbe9775 |

Such a great atmosphere! The wait staff and owner are fantastic! The food was superb. We had fish tacos and a smothered chicken dish. So very good! Enjoy this place so much!

Busy restaurant, parking is minimal and food is not great Mexican.

By klilly9910 |

Did takeout had issues parking, staff was helpful and friendly. Did get to look in the kitchen while waiting and kitchen looked dirty. Restaurant was busy, crowded and noisy. Food was not the type of Mexican I'm use to eating and we eat allot of Mexican food.

Good food worth waiting for a table

By ccsfamily |

We arrived later on Saturday evening and had about a 20 minute wait for a table. The service was good and the meals were very good. They even allowed me to substitute a tamale on one of their meals. Their tamales were very good and their salsa and chips were quite tasty!

Most authentic Tex Mex

By Amy2016Itsly |

The brisket tacos are the best. The ambiance is very authentic to any Tex-Mex in the state. But, the food is superior.

Excellent food and wonderful margaritas

By Mary Lou F |

Brisket tacos were fabulous. The margaritas were very nicely done and well balanced. Service was good but be sure and go early. The lines got quite long right after we arrived at 5:30 pm

Brisket Tacos or bust!

By forknbeans |

Whatever you order, make sure you order the brisket tacos. Not a fancy joint, but the food is so phenomenal and price is just right!

Beautiful place food super! Margarita❤️

By jackslack4 |

First beware you wimpy mild eating Salas people don't eat what they bring to the table. Wait they will bring you a milder one "not mild but much milder than the first one". Margaritas are fabulous! Not To sour not to sweet "Just Right". I had Baja shrimp it was great! My husband had burrito it was great ! Everything super fresh nothing comes from a bottle! This is A place you need to go if you Love Tex mix!! Tried to go The night before for dinner hour wait. So make reservations or do like we did go for lunch the next day!!

Lunch for 4

By Ranchman58 |

The partners meet for lunch today at Mia’s. What great Tex-Mex food. The restaurant has been there forever and I have eaten here for the last 20 years. It’s constantly good. Margaritas are excellent and good cold beer. I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant, you want be disappointed

The Real Deal!

By rossvick |

Great TexMex always starts with the Chips and Salsa. Mia's greets you with fresh chips and salsa. Next Margarita's. If there is a wait, and the little ante bar is not open, simply order what you want, I prefer frozen with salt, mi amore prefers on the rocks with salt. Both are go-to's. We have been dining at Mia's for at least 20 years. Because I have become more "fat conscious" as my waist line has expanded, my go to meal is Spinach Enchiladas with rice and beans. I request no queso. Mi esposo almost always gets the brisket tacos. The wait for food is impeccably timed. Just about the time the first basket of chips, a guacamole salad and margarita are a bite or a sip away the food arrives. We are so full by the time we finish half our plates, we usually take something home. And what we do with our left overs is place them in an egg scramble for breakfast the next morning. All of Mia's other meals we have tried, and I guess by now we have had everything on the menu a dozen times, if you like authentic Tex-Mex Mia's is su casa. They make us feel like familia. If you need breakfast or lunch, Mia's can't be beat.

Authentic tex-mex dining in Dallas

This restaurant was featured in Andrew Zimmern’s delicious destination show. The entire dining experience was awesome. The service was fast; food was delicious and the staff was nice.

No other anywhere could ever match!!!!

By Melody Thorne |

No one who comes to Dallas should miss eating at Mia's!!!! The brisket tacos are like nothing else on the planet!!! Even when we just fly through on our private aircraft we pay someone to go and pick up an order because we cant miss having the best in the world!!! Its worth the effort to get to this amazing place!

Business dinner for two

By DReynolds |

We asked the consigner at our hotel where we should go for some good Tex-Mex. They emphatically sent us to Mia’s. You can not go wrong. I had their specialty beef brisket tacos. 3 large tacos with all the toppings. Delicious. As an appetizer we had the chorizo and melted cheese dish served with flour tortillas. Could of made a meal of this. Not fancy, the waiter was a little gruff but the food made it a great evening.

Fantastic Mexican restaurant

By Rick W |

I would highly recommend this place. It is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. The wait staff is superb and the food is to die for.

Great Service and Great Mexican Food

By cokerbud |

Had dinner here on a Sunday evening with 7 other guests. The service was great and quick, the margaritas got great reviews from everyone, and the brisket tacos were very good. Apparently the place has been around forever and has a loyal following and it is easy to see why!

Average is the word

By 124douglash |

Just finished eating at Mia's. Chips were fresh and the salsa hot. My cheese enchiladas were covered with chili and just OK. My wife had Zakk's tacos and felt that they were so-so. The margaritas were strong but average. The wait staff was not rude, but just going through the motions. Complementary valet was not necessary, but could be on a more crowded evening. For the price, I will not be back. Not a dive, just nothing to write home about. Average sums it up.

Outstanding Brisket Tacos

By 792dond |

The Brisket tacos were truly incredible. I was a first time visitor passing through and the food was outstanding. Must try the unique Brisket tacos!

Our favorite all time Mexican food!

By Trip Advisor from Dallas |

We have eaten here for years & love it. Our favorite mexican restaurant ever. Only wish people would stay away so the line would not be so long.

BEST EVER BRISKET TACOS

By sreed76006 |

I have been going to this wonderful Mexican restaurant for over 15 years and all I can say is "WOW-OMG" All I have ever had and will ever have are the brisket tacos. The staff are super nice. It's a small place and always stays packed.

Always Enjoy Mia’s

By Travel80 |

We have always enjoyed dining at Mia’s over the years and found their new location (next door to their previous spot) on Lemmon Ave. for Dinner the evening before our Flight from DAL to Seattle. Food was very good again and awarding 4 Stars this time instead of the previous 5 Stars.

Nice spot

By mrpotatohead |

A large group of 10 plus met and ate. Personally I had a great experience and I would come again. I ordered the Mexican dish but next time I probably go for something else as I was just a little bit too much for me. Margaritas were lovely. They tasted like more. See you next time

The Worlds Best

My wife and I have been eaten at this restaurant for over 25 years. I eat Mexican food on a regular basis in all parts of Texas. This is by far the best.

The Sangria Margarita always hits the spot!

By Kamilah W |

I love Mia's! It's a small cozy spot with the friendliest staff. They have always exemplified A1 customer service. I always order the Cowboy Fajita Platter which typically feeds the table and of course I have to have the Sangria margarita. They are so good and they guarantee you a good night, lol.

Came back after 10 years.

By Go60193 |

We didn't go to Mias for 10 years because of the long wait for a table and their ordinary food. Went back and got a table pretty quickly and the food was much better than before.

Great Mexican Food

By Myopin |

The food is great here. Chips were warm and salsa was not too spicy. The brisket tacos are the best in Dallas. And the chimichanga was stuffed with chicken. Large amount of food for the price and delicious. The restaurant is not a large place, but is a great atmosphere. Highly recommend anyone wanting good tex-mex food. Prices are good for the amount of food you get.

Real deal

By AMSH |

We love this place. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. The brisket tacos are fabulous. Chips and salsa are excellent, and you can ask for a spicier salsa, if you wish. Bonus---they allow small, well-behaved dogs.

Best Brisket in Dallas!

By Doug G |

Just had a near orgasmic experience with a taco! The brisket taco at Mia’s is a destination experience. Everything about it is perfect. The meat is flavorful and tender, the tortillas are perfectly toasted and the peppers and onions perfectly sautéed. If you don’t stop here you then you are doing yourself a true disservice!

Great Tex Mex food

By Stephen H |

Great food. The brisket tocos with gravy is outstanding. Everything we ordered was very good. We also had margaritas and they were perfect. This is the best Tex Mex we have had in Dallas.

Simplicity and Tex-Mex Perfection

By Glenn Almack |

I discovered Mia's over three decades ago, when it was first located in a small store front on Lemmon Avenue. The word spread, and the need for more tables brought the restaurant to the current location. Over the years, Mia's family members and employees have started other restaurants, including, Mi Cocina's, Taco Diner, Mesero's and Manny's, but the catalyst for all these, is this colorful restaurant on Lemmon Avenue! So many great dishes, including the Brisket Tacos, Enchiladas and a number of specialties. But I decided that on a cold night, I needed my comfort dish, Sunset Chicken Enchiladas, with Ranchero Beans. When I want Tex-Mex, I return to one of the great spots in Dallas! Glenn Almack

Exceptional Tex-Mex!

By ChickenParm41 |

OMG this is the best Tex-Mex place I have ever been to. I had the brisket tacos...Outstanding! The taste just explodes in your mouth. My wife had the Zakk's chicken...also Outstanding! Best seasoned chicken I ever tasted. Great Atmosphere. Loved our lunch. Quick service. Visited after G.W. Bush museum visit. Then onto JFK site. If you're looking for great Tex-Mex, look no further. Highly recommended!!!! Only downside is that it only has valet parking.

Greedy Valet Ruined It For Me

By camrachic |

I attempted to go to Mia's today (2/6/2018) for lunch. As I usually do I pulled up and told the Valet that I prefer to park myself, which is usually not a problem, but TODAY the Valet said they had no spots for my car, even though there were seven spots open in the lot. He stated that all of those slots were for Valet only. I said well I guess I won't be eating here today then. It was very disappointing as I have been eating at this restaurant for over 10 years. Valet is complimentary so it wasn't even about the money, its that I do not let anyone drive my car, I also had several packages in my car that held some expensive items that I preferred to keep secure. I couldn't believe the greed of the man who was running the valet area. Every single time I go to the restaurant I always park my own car, and because I know that these men work for their tips I always throw them a few dollars even though I don't use their services. I am a part of the service community so I know what its like to work for tips, which in turn makes me extra generous with those who are in tipped positions. Beware of these greedy people. If they get upset and deny a person parking over a few dollars in tip, what else are they willing to do?

Wonderful family restaurant

By Annaliz99 |

Great place, basic design, but lovely athmosphere. Service is quick, friendly, dishes are fantastic and huge portions! I'd come back here again if visiting again Dallas for sure!

Food food and drinks

By rhpatt29 |

BUT not much waiting room. There is a tiny bar but it is close quarters and mostly standing room. Food was good beer was cold and several Mexican. Brands available. Chips and hot sauce were good. Typical Tex Mex spread, quesadillas enchiladas, tacos, guacamole. Food flan for dessert. The wait was about 20 minutes on a Friday night. Limited parking so I suggest valet unless you happen to see an open spot.

Absolutely delicious!

By Barbara B |

We found this place on here (trip advisor) and decided to try it! We all loved it (we're all from Arkansas/Oklahoma! Brisket tacos were amazing!

New favorite for Tex-Mex

By Ashley Hobgood |

My uncle and I came here for dinner. I had the brisket enchiladas and he had the brisket tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. The service of the staff was great. We will be coming back again.

Good Tex Mex

By MikeyMackTravels |

Had dinner last night with friends at Mia Dia. Food was very good. Salsa and Chips were fresh. Steak Chimichanga was very, very good. Atmosphere fun and alive. Service was good. Very enjoyable evening.

Excellent Tex-Mex

By BLtraveler66 |

We went with a group of friends for lunch. The restaurant was noisy and crowded, and very limited parking forcing you to valet park. The excellent food makes up for any other inconveniences. The chips were light and excellently cooked. Both the regular red salsa and the verde salsa were tasty and had a decent spice level. They were some of the best we have had anywhere. Everyone enjoyed the queso that was ordered to go with the chips. For the regular course, my partner 0rdered the steak fajitas. I had beef (ground) enchiladas with verde salsa instead of the regular salsa. Next time I would probably just go with the regular salsa as that seemed option. Both were quite enjoyable. The others in our party were also quite pleased with their meal. Service was excellent. When visiting Dallas, we have traditionally gone to a competing, highly rated Tex-Mex restaurant. We have never been disappointed there, but I think Mia's overall was a bit better. It is definitely a place to which we will return.

Welcome back home to Dallas

By DougBellatti |

Always come here for our first Tex-Mex food experience when coming home from long out of town trips. Delicious Tex-Mex consistently good and always have great wait service from Gabriel and all waitstaff!!

Brisket tacos, enchiladas & more!

By Cynthia W |

We live out of state but when we visit Dallas, Mia’s is always at the top of our list for dinner. The service is great and the food never disappoints. Price point is very good. Parking is limited as it is with many other restaurants in the area and they will valet your car if you dine during peak hours.

Gotta get the brisket tacos

By Don E |

I love brisket tacos, and theirs were very good. Good suggestion by friends for a little original Mexican restaurant.

Amazing salsa and everything!

By Sherb1 |

Mia's was recommended to me by a local. The food and atmosphere were great! Free valet parking on a super cold night was very welcome. The salsa was the best I've ever had. Our least favorite thing was the cheese dip. Stick with the salsa! I tried Mama's lemon chicken which was awesome! My husband's combination dinner looked awesome too. We had some fantastic sopapillas for dessert. We were so stuffed. It will be a go-to for us from now on whenever we're in Dallas.

This place smelled fantastic

By chavez78 |

This place smelled fantastic right when walking through the door. Small waiting area that was crowded which told me this must be worth the wait. It didn’t disappoint. Salsa had some kick to it and food was on point. I would definitely return. I had the 50/50 fajitas and we had quest. Both great.

Very Nice Surprise

By Daniel B |

We have some friends that kept talking about these Brisket Tacos at Mia's so we finally gave in and went for lunch with them. Boy were we surprised. This food was fantastic and the Brisket Tacos are all that and some beans and rice too. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Crazy busy, OK food and service

By tqmman2002 |

Came out here on a Wed night at 630, had to wait until close to 8 PM to be seated. Tried a burrito, not overstuffed and seemed less meat than beans and rice. Cheap eats, but I did not find the quality there I expected from the crowds coming in.

I found my favorite Mexican restaurant

By Courtney G |

I loved EVERYTHING about this place. The service (quick chip and water refills), the FOOD!!! The ambiance. We even got dessert just to try it. The chips were thin and the salsa was delicious- not chunky. I got enchiladas- 3 different kinds and they were all amazing. The flan was delicious as well. I will for sure come back anytime I’m in Dallas!

The best brisket tacos!!!

By Korndog Izard |

I saw Mia's featured on Bizarre Foods Delicious Destinations a couple days before my trip to Dallas. I'm glad I did. This place is excellent. The complimentary chips and salsa was fresh and tasty. The feature was on their Brisket Tacos. So, that's what we had. Two flavorful tacos with brisket, onions, poblano peppers and cheese on a plate of beans and rice. I will be back next time I'm in Dallas.

FOR OVER 26+ YEARS STILL THE BEST OF TEXAS

By 111familyman111 |

I had first came to Mia's over 26+ years ago. Amazing testament to the hard working family owners. I have been to allot of "Texas AUTHENTIC" Tex Mex restaurants all over in Dallas, Huston and San Antonio and had not had better Tex Mex food anywhere. I love the home made Enchiladas best I ever had. As for yesterdays visit the hospitality and service of this restaurant is outstanding still make me feel very welcome just like my first visit. Service is very quick food is is unrivaled! GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PEOPLE. .

With the wait!

By muzzkins |

Everyone must have wanted pre-Thanksgiving Mexican food because BUSY!!! Always a good sign though and it did not disappoint. Servers literally running to keep up. Food was great. Loved my Zakk’s Tacos. Very different way of preparing the chicken. Yummy!

Still the best

By Lee W |

Mia’s is still the best Tex Mex in Dallas. Other restaurants have tried to copy their menu but they don’t come close to replicating the quality. Look forward to another 30 years of great Tex Mex

Great Tex-Mex food

By Benjamin C |

If you're in the mood for some traditional Tex-Mex food this is the place. The fajitas are very savory in the beans are super flavorful. The guacamole is outstanding. This place has outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The on ambience is unique and cool, this is definitely a casual and laid-back place. Their beer selection is pretty good. They're in she Ladas are also awesome. I personally recommend the beef fajita plate. The staff is super friendly courteous and fast. Awesome place.

Only OK

By CatDaddy01 |

We had a great waiter! The food was really salty. Neither of us could finish it because of the sodium. The bathroom and kitchen appeared to be dirty, and the guy who did the valet parking was surly. Other than the waiter, I see no reason to ever return.

Cozy place

By Shonda M |

This place is okay if you like oily and overpriced tex mex. The food and margaritas was average. The staff was great and the service was fast. I can see why people keep coming back. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

Perfect Beginning for Visiting Dallas

By Brandon B |

Let’s start with the free valet service. Great since it was raining. You must order the brisket tacos. They were amazing. The salsa has the perfect amount of spice and service was fast and great.

Great Tex Mex

By Rafael T |

Mias restaurant is a great place with an amazing mexican food, great place and good staf. I definitely recomend it.

Flavor Food

By sarieke |

Because it ranked high on Tripadvisor, this place that serves typical Mexican / Texan food was on our list to try out, should we get bored of cooking ourselves during our Dallas-trip from the Netherlands. Mia's is situated in a neighborhood that almost wants you to just go an move and live there. It has a nice, relaxed vibe to it. The location itself was a restaurant that we definitely would have overlooked if we hadn't known it, nor would we have entered it voluntarily, because it looked shabby, not well-kept, not well painted and such.. Parking also seemed a bit shady.. There was a man welcoming us outside and offered valet parking for free.. We kindly refused the service. But we decided to eat here and so we did. Inside was a little sober, it was the lighting or something, or the coloring or the dressing of all of it that gave it a little of a eating-in-the-kitchen feeling.. The waitress was amazingly sweet and friendly and made us feel right at home. We chose to sit somewhere else than where she seated us at the first place, because the placemets were covered with pictures of huge spiders. We just could NOT relax our elbows there! Eventually were seated at a flower-table, and asked the lovely and smiling waitress what she would recommend, since we didn't know anything on the meny. What does get ordered here a lot? We'll have the same. Taco brisket with gravy. Yum! All the different flavors, even the black bean sauce was amazing. It is that we deliberately chose to live outside our comfort bumble and not visit the same place twice, otherwise we would have been back for more food. Would you go in our place? Definitely worth your while, it's so nice to eat at a place where you get the impression that people take pride in making their food good.

just plain old good mexican food, north of the border

By steve s |

it looks smallish from the outside, but is actually large, and it was packed on our visit. Good refried beans, salsa, juevos con papas, guacamole

Good Tex-Mex Food

By Bob C |

Highly rated tex-mex restaurant in Dallas that didn't disappoint. Went Sat at 6:00 and fought the crowns. Fajitas were the order of the day along with Margaritas. If you like good tex-mex, this is the place in Dallas.

Great Tex Mex

By Wanderer364866 |

We have been coming to Mia's since my youngest was still in my tummy. She'll be 17 soon. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting. The service is outstanding. And the food is great, especially the fajitas. I didn't get the fajitas this time I got the Rainy Day salad. I was coming of a cleanse and my family wanted Mexican so we came here. Not a good choice for clean food. I ordered it without the cheese and bacon and asked about the chicken, thinking and asking if it was pulled chicken. The waiter misunderstood said yes and I got super spiced-up, greasy chicken all over my salad. Not a good choice on my part. Next time I'll get the fajitas!

The go to for Mexican food!

By FELIPE V |

Loved this place, very casual and simple, with perfect food and attention. Nachos and Salsa at the beginning are fresh, so plenty of Tex Mex options to enjoy. Service is quick even with the place full. Next time will try the Margaritas.

Best Mexican Food in Dallas

By Hunterflys2 |

Mia’s and Manny’s (same family owned) have the finest Mexican food in Dallas and perhaps the best in the country. The servers are excellent, especially my new friend, Minnie. Tell her Hunt sent you.

Authentic family restaurant with great quality food

By zamdog |

This restaurant is so close to Dallas Love Field that we had to try it before leaving for home. We wanted some really good quality Tex/Mex and Mia's delivered. The location is small and frugally decorated with mexican art and family photos from over 20 years in business. The basic margarita is served in a tall glass and was above average. The chips were hot and fresh. The salsa was simple and had a nice heat. So far so so good. The entrees included tamale, soup, cheese enchalada and a beef taco. The bean soup was a flavor explosion. Try it! The Tamale had a thin corn meal crust and a mild mole sauce. It was very good! Guacamole was fresh but seemed bland next to the full flavors of the rest of the meal Overall the service made the entire experience very, very good. It has valet zo they must really get busy at night.

Authentic

By delainecoleman |

Looking for a great authentic Mexican food joint in Dallas, look no more. This place gives you the feel of some of the hole in the wall places around the Austin area. Food was great; will be back.

Wonderful genuine restaurant with excellent food

By Kengele |

If you like spicy Tex-Mex food and appreciate a local atmosphere (not fancy), I highly recommend Mia's Tex Mex. I will definitely return here. The food was delicious. My only criticism was that there was a lot of food, but that is standard in this part of the world.

Best Tex-Mex Ever!!

By Teribark |

I only wish it was closer to where I lived! Everything you order is always the best!! We love the hot sauce, chips and queso!! The Nachos and quacamole are so good!!! We drive three hours to here and eat and are never disappointed. Get there early . They also have Valet parking!! Love it here!!

Simply Terrific

By Mark P |

This is a casual, modestly priced restaurant offering terrific food and fine drinks. Everything was excellent, including the service. The brisket tacos should be tried by any meat eater.

Neighborhood gem

By reparrin |

We always make a point of eating here whenever we’re in Dallas. Salsa with a kick and excellent guacamole. Highly recommend the Jack Hondo appetizer, which could easily be a meal in itself. Have to admit I was disappointed with the chicken enchiladas this visit. A little bland. Crazy busy during dinner hours, so be prepared to wait.

Arlington Trip

By Sammy S |

The waiter was very friendly and the food was very delicious! I ordered a chicken enchilada with double refried beans! Very yummy!

Authentic Tex Mex

By rhpatt29 |

The restaurant is small and is typically busy. Not much area for waiting and the waiting area can get very crowded. Mia's menu looks like most Tex Mex menus. The food is very good, flavorful and mild spices. The guacamole is very good. The hot sauce is excellent. Verde sauce is very good while the chili con carne is just okay - not great. Overall Mia's is very tasty.

Simply Terrific

By Mark P |

This is a casual, modestly priced restaurant offering terrific food and fine drinks. I truly enjoyed it all: Chips and salsa, a shared beef fajita nacho appetizer and enchiladas. I would return without hesitation.

Best Tex-Mex in Dallas

By Chad M |

This family owned restaurant has the best Tex-Mex in Dallas hands down. This brisket tacos are a staple but the Guiso is delicious as well.

Try the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail.

By Geoff H |

Service and atmosphere were good, but the food was rather bland. The one exception to my 'bland' comment would be my appetizer, the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail - I can highly recommend that!

New experience for us while passing through

By Michelle |

Very good food and great, friendly service. We rolled in here with a large party and everyone from the valets to the manager on duty went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were beyond pleased and very grateful. We recommend with hesitation and look forward to returning.

Great Service. Ok food.

By Waxwing54 |

A very crowded, somewhat loud popular Tex-Mex restaurant. Inexpensive to moderate pricing. Fast, efficient service, good selection of cold beer. The food was standard. Decent, solid, plentiful. Nothing we had stood out as "wonderful." But it was hot and fresh.

Worth the wait!

By Jaima N |

When we first arrived at Mia's, we were a little underwhelmed by the exterior. They only allow valet parking so prepare for that. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated. There is a small bar area in the front waiting area so customers can order drinks while they wait. The mango/strawberry margarita I got was small, not the best and $10. I wouldn't recommend going that route. As for the pros: Our waiter was amazing! I'm bummed that I didn't think to get his name. The restaurant was SLAMMED and he was still incredibly helpful, attentive and kind. The shredded chicken quesadillas were the best we've ever had. The food came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered! We highly recommend a visit. Looks are deceiving and the food is definitely worth the wait.

Excellence

By Wayne G |

Visited Mia’s for second time, last time was about 2 years ago. The service was great, our tea was always full, chips and salsa replenished quickly and entree was delicious. Typical Tex-mex offerings but executed perfectly. Had Mexican dinner I believe (taco, guacamole, cheese enchilada, tamale, rice and beans). Was extremely tasty with sauces on tamale/enchilada making the dish. I have looked for this place since last visit, but couldn’t remember name/exact location. I will definitely be back again. Only downer was mandatory valet parking.

pretty darn good

By thollandam |

They have complimentary valet, which they should, because the parking lot area is small. They wait is long, especially on Saturdays. The restaurant is pretty small, if you don't want to wait, you may want to consider sitting outside. They food is great and ample for the price. The service was great! Oh and the drinks are good too! Will return!

Graduation Dinner

By JOSEPH C |

The Brisket!

By Rick B |

We had dinner here with our daughter and arrived just in time to beat an enormous crowd on a Friday night!!! The food is fantastic and is very reasonably priced...the margarita's are awesome as well. Be sure to get the brisket tacos. You're welcome.

Girls night out

By Nancy S |

My friends and I went here for a girls night out. They live in Dallas and spoke highly of it. It had a traditional feeling of an old, Mexican restaurant. It wasn’t a big, commercial restaurant. It was authentic and cultural. The food was delicious with large portions and a variety of menu options.

Great Tex Mex Spot

By Betsy S |

My sister and I went to Mia's for our birthday dinner. Food was fantastic (enchiladas...yum!) and the margarita's were strong and not too sweet. We split a tres leches for dessert and they put a candle in it and sang to us because it was our birthday. We also got sombreros. Mia's is a lot of fun and great tex-mex food!

Excellent North Texas Tex Mex.

By Andrew S |

Came into town for the OU game, brought three hungry teens. Valet parking made it easy. Fast service, good salsa and the beef, cheese, chicken, and brisket enchiladas were fine reps of yummy north Texas tex mex.

Great Tex Mex

By Bretmcbunch |

We were surprised to find that they park your car at this restaurant. We were seated quickly at 11am on a Monday morning but noticed it quickly filled up after our arrival. Our waiter was very good and service was great! The chips were thin & crispy and we enjoyed our appetizer of queso. I had a lunch plate of sour cream chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada and crispy beef taco. My husband had a beef & cheese enchilada plate with rice & beans. Both were very good & prices are very reasonable! We recommend this place if you are searching for great TexMex in the area!

Fantastic and authentic Tex Mex

By Gordon C |

Food here was incredible. Have the brisket tacos, they are as good as everyone says. The margaritas are also excellent. Very cosy inside and service was fantastic.

Brisket Tacos

By karakinney5 |

The brisket tacos are to DIE FOR. Seriously, I have dreams about these tacos. My husband doesn't like traditional tex-mex, but he LOVES Mia's. We used to be regulars here before we moved farther north, but anytime we are in the area we make sure to stop by for the tacos and margaritas (also amazing). Anytime my husband and I have taken out of town guests to Mia's we have suggested the brisket tacos... on occasion said guests will not order them and go on to regret their decision after tasting what has got to be the best thing on their menu. Weekends, and even weeknights after about 5:30 start to get pretty crazy, and packed. But you can always order a margarita while you wait for a table to open up. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat!

Lunch Out

By BlueBirdjourney |

This is my first time at Mia's TexMex and I loved the food❤️❤️❤️ People were so nice. I have eaten so many places for Mexican food and Tex Mex but I have to say that Mias is the best I have eaten by far. Love the butch' brisket tacos 🌮 the brisket is so tender and little bit of fat makes it so juicy and it comes with delicious brisket gravy. Queso is so good 😋 love Queso. We had a great service from Gabriel. We highly recommend 👏👏👏

Best brisket tacos anywhere

By Judith H |

Whenever I go out of town, I have to go to Mia's as soon as possible after I get back for my Tex Mex food fix. I don't usually look at the menu, because I know I'm going to order the brisket tacos, with one corn, one flour tortilla. I've taken many people to Mia's over the years, and no one has ever been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent Mexican Food

By Erik L |

The wife and I flew into Dallas (Love Field) and grabbed a late lunch ~ 1:30 at Mia's. The brisket tacos are to die for especially with the gravy offered on the side! Margaritas were a delicious accompaniment. If you are near downtown, stop in for some great Mexican cuisine.

Delicious!

By GGk989 |

This place is awesome! If you are into Texmex it's the place to try. Did someone say Briscuit Tacos??? Mia's has the Best around. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming. F you are in the area give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Always the best and my favorite, both when I lived there and now when I visit. I always get the same thing, Ama's Plate (no longer on the menu but still available). If you cannot get to the Original Mia's, Mama's sons have the Mi Cucina's around the metroplex.

Good food.

If Mama Ain't Happy....

By EastcoastGray |

Hadn't been to Dallas in years- but was happy to see that Mia's is still there. A family institution, opened in 1934, seems to be going strong. Cozy and colorful, and super clean, fast and friendly service, valet parking. Had guacamole and the Rainy Day salad with Zak's chicken, used spicy salsa for my dressing- yummy, and fine for my celiac. My husband had the carne asada- looked wonderful. We went a bit earlier than usual to avoid peak evening crowds. Will be back on our next Dallas trip!

Truly outstanding!

Truly outstanding! Service was great, prices were very reasonable and the food was absolutely fantastic. Look forward to returning next time I’m in Dallas.

Amazing Mexican

By Ber Zur Swiss |

In Dallas you can find some nice Mexican joints serving good quality food at nominal prices. I love this place. Everything taste fresh here. Love the salsa nad the gaucamole. Fajitas, rib eye, tacos, rice, beans all perfectly done. Loads of flavors. Muy Bueno/

no reservations, a wait for a table... well worth it

By maunder2010 |

The wait is made so much better by the cheap but fantastic margaritas with a decent slug of tequila, perfect to wash down chips with fiery dipping sauce. The beef soft shell tacos were really good, served with refried beans, rice and salad. Everything you expect from a family run Tex-Mex restaurant. Great value and service.

Brisket Tacos a Must!!

By Suzin S |

First night in Dallas had a very pleasant experience at this wonderful TexMex restaurant. Food , drink and staff all outstanding. The brisket tacos were recommended and were delicious. Valet parking so you are just a step from front door. Dishes coming out of kitchen looked amazing.

An institution in dallas

By Flaco316 |

We come here all the time for years. They are always consistent with their food which is above average for tex mex. my favorite dish here is the ribeye a la mexicana. Free valet parking but bring cash for tip.

TexMex in Dallas

By Ramiro F |

Food was very good. Authentic Mexican. The margarita was not as good as other places. I missed having draft beer. The brisket tacos were delicious. Good place for lunch. Very good service.

Good but spicey and rushed

By Neil P |

So the place is cool and funky and been around a long time. It’s popular -45 min wait on a rainy Friday night. The issue is they are suffering from their own success. The margaritas are Pre made and taste like cheap college trash can punch. Which they basically are. When you finnally seat. The pick etc is extremely spicey. The alternates are stronger. Son loves I did boy. When we ordered the food came out so fast that I feel it had to have been Pre made too. So it’s cool and funky but I would go once to check the box and not sure I would return. My son will though

Tex-Mex excelente!

By DRLAdventures |

Hey, you’re in Texas, so you have to have some authentic Tex-Mex. Order the brisket tacos and grab a margarita. The salsa that comes with the complimentary house made is full of flavor. The whole meal is great!

Just Love this place!

Just Love this place! From the valet parking and the tasty salsa & chips. It always seems to be crowded, why? The food, the margaritas and the service. If you’ve been there before I’m sure you look forward to the next time; never been, you owe it to yourself. Add BTW, save some room for their flan, some of the best you’ll ever have.

Lunch with my Texas nieces

After too long away in California, we came to visit and eat some great TexMex. We were not disappointed. From the chips (salted just right, light and crispy) to the frozen margarita to the #7 on the menu...delicious! And the service was right on! Friendly and not imposing.

Brisket Tacos

We were told about the brisket tacos. They were very good. Busy place, with free valet parking. Service was very prompt and the chips/salsa was tasty. I would return again

Liberal Ladies Who Lunch

Our group of 14 ladies were treated very well, considering this restaurant does not take reservations. I showed up about 30 minutes early and gave them a heads up. They pulled several tables together and were ready for us at noon. They accommodated our request for separate checks, too! The food was very good, as always. The service was excellent. This small restaurant pulled out all the stops to make our experience a positive one. Thanks to Mia's staff and its manager.

Fun, cosy and great food

We ate here with friends on our last night in Dallas, and bumped into more friends whilst there! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the margarita's were great, the food was plentiful and amazing, so all in all its a great place to go for authentic Tex-Mex food. I had the highly recommended brisket taco's which were very tasty. I also love the chips and salsa they put on the table as standard. We also ordered fresh guacamole which was to die for! We ordered a bottle of wine too which wasn't too expensive and went down a treat! There's a reason why people love this place, and we would definitely return on our next trip to Dallas. Inexpensive, tasty and fun. What more do you need?
