Lovely place for breakfast

By Sophie P |

Tasty French toast, delicious coffee (very hot), friendly service and reasonably priced for New York breakfast

Good quick tasty food

By Gabi L |

I was recently in Ny with my family and this restaurant was a real hit. Good quality food, super quick, centrally located and not overpriced!

local, busy, tasty

By Ivana I |

Go during a weekday lunch hr to hear the NY accents, see the crowd, watch what they are ordering, copy them, enjoy the tasty bagels, feel the Midtown bustle. Love it.

Great Breakfast

By ljrimert |

They offer quite a variety for breakfast, excellent bagels and cream cheese. The coffee was very fresh!

If you’re hungry for a kosher bagel and are in the area, come by

By kastelyani |

Completely average bagel place. The main plus of this restaurant is that it is Cholov Israel. Prices are not competitive. Didn’t enjoy the cream cheese bagel. Cream cheese tastes like butter more than cream cheese. Bagel itself was ok. Not mind blowing. The corn muffin was good 👍🏻. It tasted as if it was dairy even though it was marked as plain ou and not as ou dairy. I really hope that they don’t add milk products to unmarked products. To conclude, if I’m on the area and can’t wait a while, I’ll buy again. —kosher ou—

food is good

By grandpajoe |

If you like Pizza, Salads, soup, and some entrees of the day the place is very nice - I order from them - they deliver and the service is prompt courteous and most of all the food is good.

Terrible bagel with bad service

By skimonkey78 |

bagel is dry, oatmeal like, and bland. so it maybe a ny thing, but i'm used to hot likely crispy on outside and hot and software inside. asked to for the bagel to be toasted and the response was it's too late - havent even take a bite. how about throwing away the .20 cent bagel away and toast a fresh one. too much to ask????

Great place for breakfast or lunch

By Gerald H |

Excellent breakfast sandwiches. My wife had an omelette that was also very good. We returned the next day for lunch and loved the pizza. Very convenient and fast. A real find!

fresh bagels for brekkie

By gcloeboe |

Our first nyc bagel which was double the size of an english bagel !! We chose a mixed raisin flavour with strawberry cream cheese. It was so amazing we visited again the next morning. Staff friendly helpful & efficient. Only wish there was a few more fruit cream cheeses to try ! Would definitely recommend any time of day !!!

Rude Rude Rude!

By Veysel A |

We stayed at Roosevelt which is not very far from Milk and Honey and thought we would pop in for an 'on the go' breakfast. Our order was very basic '3 cream cheese and tomato bagels and 1 cream cheese and smoked salmon'. After repeating this to the guy 2373434864 times, we went to collect our order of 28$ and found no salmon in one of the bagels. Baring in mind we were sold the 'lux cream cheese' without even asking for it. After taking it back to the counter, the guy who served us refused to speak to me and asked his friend to talk to me instead which I found unacceptably RUDE. After explaining myself in slow basic English they understood and added the salmon and charged us 12$ for a couple of slices! Defiantly would not be returning again and would highly advise that you give it a miss too!

“I visited this place” because it was there- that’s all

By I visited this place🇮🇹🇺🇸🇬🇧🇳🇱🇫🇷 |

PROS • Kosher • Location CONS • Quite mediocre food • Not very tasty • Confusing and unclear how to order • Uncertain what staff do what function • Unnecessary tedious wait in line • Quite expensive for the average quality • Indifferent unenthusiastic unfriendly staff • Seating very cramped and crowded • Loud and noisy- unsettling • Tables not necessarily cleaned promptly • No napkins offered nor evident • No paper towels evident either “I VISITED THIS PLACE”… … because it was directly off of Fifth Avenue on my 26K+ step and 15.1 kilometer walk through midtown Manhattan. By the time that I reached Fifth Avenue at 46 and 47 Street, I was quite hungry and found this place with the kosher GPS app. I was shocked by the prices and it was unclear what was a good deal for the money- all expensive. There were 5 employees behind the counter but only one of them was taking orders and preparing the sandwiches. He was sourly, disinterested, indifferent and unfriendly, greeting each customer with a grueling “what’s yours?” Then he slops the bagel sandwich together and gives it to two people at the cash register while the other employees watch. TIPS If you need to eat kosher food and you are in the area, this place exists and has high level elegant kosher supervision.

Delicious- Great Spot For Quick Bite To Eat

By Jim S |

On our last morning in NYC we wanted to get my son an authentic NYC bagel for breakfast (he loves bagels and we had been talking all the previous week about bagels in NYC). The three of us enjoyed the best bagels we had ever had. Clean restaurant, real friendly staff. You can tell this is a regular joint for locals. Coffee was delicious! Looking at the options we would love to come back for lunch or even dinner.

Reasonable prices for Kosher food

By Shai & Huvi |

Good food and couldn't complain about the service. Tuna melt and spinach cheese calzones were great! Limited seating..

Keeping the level

By Daniel F |

Well located not far from Broadway in the heart of MANHATTAN. Going there for more than 10 years. Not cheap but excellent, fresh and tasty food.

Clean restaurant and good food.

By Joseph D |

This restaurant offers great food, clean atmosphere and good lighting, like the overall appearance and the food as well.

Dreadful service

By snaphappylol |

Enter here to have instructions barked at you. I asked if they could warm up my croissant and got a blunt “No” - not sorry or I’m afraid we can’t, just “No”. Then the member of staff gave me our food and said she’d call me over for the coffees. A long time passed and people after me got their drinks so my husband asked for them. The girl behind the counter just ignored him and carried on serving others until another staff member had to say “Make his coffees next!” Shocking service. I wouldn’t return.

Bagle Place very basic good service

By Chanchab |

Bagel place good for breakfast Offer a salad bar as well and French toast etc Also have good pastries and fresh muffins They are really nice I saw them give a homeless person who was very cold and hungry a container full of food and a free drink

A quiet oasis in the flurry of NYC Christmas

By Festnoz |

We were aimlessly searching for a hearty sandwich or nosh out of the ocean of Christmas visitors. We stumbled upon this charming and non classic NY deli. An employee saw us hemming and hawing bout whether or not to try it out..we had a party of 6 with 3 little ones. He warmly invited us in. We found the perfect spot by the window with the kids at the counter. They enjoyed fresh bagels as big as their faces. I got a delicious lox platter that made my trip to the city worth it. The knish was large and for me I liked it with a little cream cheese and salt. Not sure exactly what the traditional way of eating it was but it was copious. My husband had the grilled turkey or something like that and it was wonderful and huge. A nice find ..tasty and out of the fray.

nice milchig kosher place located in the center

By Manuel B |

went 3 times for breakfast ; the place is nice and offers a wide range of Bagels ; sandwiches for breakfast ;salad bar and suchis . opens at 7 o clock and is perfect for breakfasts. coffee is poor and the cleaning of the table is disappointing .

Best breakfast around

By Paris623 |

Very European feeling, great pastries and coffee. Good respite in the City. I would recommend both lunch and b'fast

Best Breakfast !!!

By Eitan |

The best bagels that I ever had in my life! And kosher place. Suitable for all *very kind and nice place to sped your time in

Loved the place, very tasty food!

By Lilach H |

Loved the place, very tasty food!! Highly recommend. The prices are ok. The food size is big. Kosher food

Good location, fair everything else

By dcdriver |

Had some time to kill before a matinee and this restaurant/diner was the nearest kosher eatery to the theater. The location was right but nothing else impressed us. Everything is overpriced and uninteresting and we ended up spending a lot on food we didn't enjoy. We actually went somewhere else afterward and were sorry that we wasted our money here. Walk the few blocks to the Jerusalem Cafe and you won't be sorry.

Great Kosher midtown milky cafe

By JSManchesterUK |

This place is an initial challenge for an Englishman! But once you know where to stand, how to order, what to say, how to pay it works really well. We had breakfast here everyday and lunch on one occasion. Bagels, salad bar, toasts, sushi, eggs, pasta, GREAT pizza, hepful staff. Highly recommended.

Had delivery to our hotel

By bek822 |

As kosher travels we appreciate when a restaurant will deliver to our hotel. Te online ordering system was a bit tricky, we were ordering early in the AM, but it wouldn't put our order through because of the hour we selected for delivery (being too early) it took us a while to figure out that was the issue and we also had an issue with the selection keys on the mobile device and going back to view what we had previously seen... That aside, the delivery was quick, the bagels were great, the veggie cream cheese was yummy, the muffin was good, and so was the yogurt with granola.

cafeteria style kosher food, excellent location

By Nechama S |

Went here for breakfast one day when we were staying in Times square. This is a cafeteria-style restaurant, serving dairy food. The meals are served on plastic plates without garnish or adornment. I ordered the largest latte I've ever seen in my life (didn't realize how big it was going to be!) and a breakfast plate #4 which was 4 pieces of very good challah french toast and a small plain omelet. My mother ordered a breakfast wrap with egg white, avocado and feta cheese. She enjoyed it. Service was pretty fast. Many people-locals and tourists alike- came in for the quick service and reasonable prices. Not a place to take a date to try and impress them, but, a great place to stop for breakfast and/or lunch to fuel up before a fun and hectic day in NYC.

Terrible Undercooked eggs and Even Worse Service

By TheMesocyclone |

A group of 8 of us went to breakfast this morning and ordered bagels and omelettes. We waited 40 minutes for our omelettes and watched many other people that came in long after us leave with other meals from the griddle. Their excuse, there’s only so much room on the griddle. No apologies, nothing to make up for it...just really bad service and a gross omelette. Yes you were busy, but this should have been much more organized. And hire someone who knows how to cool an omelette.

Amazing gourmet that is kosher!

By Charley Burch |

Classic Italian, fresh sushi and killer bagels / pastries ALL Kosher! When you are in the Theater District, you must add this to your list! Large portions, gourmet cuisine and a lot of bang for your buck!

Great kosher restaurant!

By shaym88 |

Great location and great food. A great solution if you’re hungry in the middle of new york and you want a good tasty bagel.

Thanksgiving Morning

By KatieJane62 |

Thanks for being open Thanksgiving morning. We stopped after the parade and the place was crowded but we were able to get bagels and beverages. Crazy busy but the cashier knew exactly who ordered what and kept things moving. Great Service !!

Delicious

By Daniela C |

Very rich and with a very good variety of products, they serve quickly! The only thing is that if you arrive late after 3:30 there is almost nothing because everything has been ending

They Moved to 46th Just East of Madison

By pd32 |

Despite what we thought was an updated printout, when we arrived at 22 east 45th it was closed with a note on the door but we found it on 46th. Their new digs are cozy a.k.a. tight for sitting/ but bright, trendy and quite pleasant. Good prices. Nice for breakfast or lunch. Nice soups selection

Nothing special

By esyc1 |

This place is very confusing as it has different counters for different food which is signposted close to the ceiling. I did not notice until several people arriving after me ordered their food before me leaving me wondering if they all jumped the queue. The menu is all over the place and the prices are impossible to read. They advertised their spelt bagels and cinnamon apple spread which turned out to be unavailable. Two other items I tried to order off the menu were unavailable too. I gave up after this and was left hungrily watching my partner eat his food.

Great Place for a New York Bagel....

By SteveR066 |

During our visit to New York my wife ranted about wanting a Bagel, Our Hotel Bell Hop suggested Milk and Honey This little gem is about a 10 minute walk from Time Square located on 30E 23rd street. Its a little cramped but the food and service is great. She had a Garlic Bagel and I had Cinnamon Raisin. Both were Fresh and very good. Be aware it is a small establishment and allot of in and out. But worth the trouble nonetheless. Ciao - Enjoy

Disappointment

By butterfly58 |

This deli-lite was near our hotel, we visited twice and both times we were unhappy with it. First time bagels were good but overpriced and they had no lox (except tiny bits in cream cheese, which you couldn't taste). Second time we ordered a panini, which came on some kind of seeded roll (definitely not ciabatta or focaccia), which they burned. Do not recommend.

Great Bagel Sandwich

By 407Gator |

I stayed in the nearby Club Quarters and stopped here for breakfast one day. The bagel sandwich was great!

Great place for a quick bite to eat

By Jennifer S |

We brought our family of six here for an early lunch on our last trip to NY. There were great choices for everything from pancakes to pizza and more. The food came quickly and everything was delicious. Only downside is there is limited seating so make sure to get there before the lunch rush.

Good hot bagels in midtown?

By IraAllen |

Surprisingly good bagels in midtwon Manhattan. The restaurant gets crowded and noisy but if you like old school bagels it is worth the bad service.

good for breakfast

By bugdocfl |

We needed a breakfast for 7 that was kosher and relatively quick. This fit the bill very well. We ate in one day and got take out the next. The food was plentiful, hot and good.

Nice breakfast!

By Asri |

This place serves delicious breakfast so dont waste your time at the populair well known coffee companies like Starbucks. This is much more relaxed to sit, tastier and cheaper!

Great Food & Friendly Service - Crowded & Overpriced

By Yanky10977 |

Food was delicious, had a cream cheese/lox bagel for $13.25 and fruit assortment which was extra fresh and tasty. Would definitely go back as there aren't any other kosher places close-by.

Loud Kosher "lunch" restaurant

By mefixer |

Had lunch in this restaurant and found the food tasty and the portions very generous. That said it is geared to the lunch crowd and is not really a restaurant. The few tables are packed with customers and it is standard to share your table with strangers. The delivery men are shuffling through the place to deliver the tremendous volume of take out orders they serve. You get your food cafeteria style, going down the line with your selections on your tray until you get to the cashier. The noise level is extreme and certainly does not contribute to the ambience. I had baked salmon with sides and it was a large portion and tasty. My wife's bagel of lox and cream cheese had a enough smoked salmon crammed into it to cater a Haddassah Women's tea. Would I recommend going there? Yes, it is Kosher and the food is good. Just be ready for the noise and crowds.

Great bagels, great service

By Anna D |

As far as we could tell there was a good mix of tourists and locals, which I take to be a good sign. The bagels were great, the atmosphere very "New York", great spot for breakfast.

Breakfast bagels and pastries

By Barbara C |

Lovely bagels and breakfast pastries- many of the customers seemed like extended family so felt a little confused about finding the menu and where to order etc- friendly people and happy staff- salmon and cream cheese bagel so stuffed full of deliciousness I didn’t need lunch! Would have liked to have hotel nearer so could have sampled one of everything

Used to be amazing, now terrible!

By NJoieTravel |

I worked around the corner from Milk n Honey for 7 years and enjoyed bagel and bagel sandwiches from them biweekly, at least. I considered it a ‘treat’ to myself to dive into one of their lofty, soft yet crispy, fresh everything bagels often with cream cheese or eggs and cheese. They weren’t cheap, but worth every cent for every delicious bite. After 2 years out of that neighborhood I trekked a good several blocks out of our way with my out of town visitor, raving about how this is the BEST NYC bagel they were ever going to have, etc. etc. It was midweek, just before noon. I ordered the old standby (for me); an everything bagel NOT toasted with olive cream cheese, and for my friend, ditto with plain cream cheese. Seven Dollars and change later (no drinks, just the bagels) we left on foot to get to our next destination. I ripped into the bagel and on the first bite, nearly tossed the rest out! It wasn’t stale, but had the consistency of a stale bagel (too firm, almost hard, flat taste). I almost cried. We had grabbed a hurried bagel and cream cheese from a downtown deli for $1.75 they prior day, and THAT bagel was impressive compared to this one. I hoped my friend wouldn’t notice, but he politely mentioned that the bagel was not as good as the others he had (I should mention he mistakenly bought a bag of Pepperidge Farm bagels at the store before I lambasted him) and I swear, those were comparable, if not better taste-wise. I was mortified, had lost my bagel credibility, and was seriously p*ssed that for nearly $8, I only had 2 lousy, semi-stale or poorly-baked bagels to show for it. I couldn’t even finish it. Maybe something in the ownership or operations has changed since I enjoyed my regular breakfasts there nearly 2 years ago now, but stay away! If you crave a bagel, you are better off popping into a nondescript corner deli and enjoying it more…for half the price. My friend will return to his country mocking NYC Bagels as a result. Thanks, Milk n Honey.

Delicious, kosher, with a "local" feel

By S_travels4fun |

Great midtown option for a simple and affordable breakfast. I just wanted a bagel but he ordered a meal. Both were great. It is a busy and bustling location but still feels very friendly and was obviously a meeting place for friends far and wide. Nice selection of bagels and toppings. They also serve lunch and pizzas later in the day - I will definitely be back.

rude

By brad9580 |

my girlfriend and I came here in the evening, and were pointed to a table. sadly this is all the service we received as we waited for 10 mins, without being served. we left after watching the waiter clear the table next to us, while having a chat over us to his friend in the kitchen. ive never had such bad service.

Bagel and coffee

By shogsed |

We ate breakfast here one morning on our way to the Statue of Liberty. The coffee was great, and the bagels delicious. We had great service. You New Yorkers definitely know how to do bagels!

Bad

By Shb H |

The food isn’t very good for the price. Bad customer service. The tables don’t get cleaned. The place is very messy and unorganized. Bad dine in experience.

Delicious

By Lauren B |

Delicious cocktails, great service, perfect date spot. The waiter/bartender asked us what we wanted and when we didn't particularly enjoy one of the cocktails, he remade it for us and gave it to us on the house. Great place to take visitors.

Good Value kosher restaurant

By Martin aryeh W |

I ate breakfast here every day for two weeks and was always satisfied with all aspects of the meal , quality of ingredients portion size service and price add to that that it’s kosher and convenient to my hotel and I couldn’t ask for anything better.Thank you Avi and cindy

Decent food but basically average

By Kenneth K |

Had a soup here for lunch. Different counters for different food so the flow is a bit odd. It is cramped here. The soup itself was ok. Tasty. Hot. Again, average overall.

Good fast kosher breakfast

By Helen G |

I was in Manhattan touring with relatives from out of town. We needed a quick kosher breakfast. Milk and Honey was just what we were looking for...A good kosher breakfast served quickly and at a reasonable price. We had bagels, cheese, lox, and eggs. We were all satisfied with this choice.

Good bagel spot in the Theater District

By Rick O |

This place has become a breakfast staple on our last two stays in Midtown. Good bagels and prompt service just steps from Times Square.

Breakfast

By Michael W |

Very good place for breakfast or lunch. I had an everything bagel with egg and cheese. It was delicious!!! I also had a muffin there which was also very good. It seems to be a well run business with lots of employees ready to serve you quickly.

DOnt get the food delivered

By Randi H |

The food is good but they are not organized for delivery. They either send it to the wrong address (u end up w/cold food) leave something out or send the wrong food. The store it self is usually very loud and very noisy. It is good food so order it and take it to go.

Breakfast

By nunka83 |

Staying at Sofitel and this little bakery is located just round the corner. Good selection of bagels and baked goodies! Coffee and a cc bagel only 4$ and very good.

Feeling at home for those who are away from home

By mark elliott S |

All Israelis who are visiting New York City and miss the food back home in Israel are invited to have a dairy meal at Milk N Honey, a lovely place very close to Times Square. It is also a terrific place for local residents and other tourists. Clean. Good food. Friendly atmosphere (especially Yossi and Sharon).

Over priced and attitude with service

By Stewie010 |

If you like paying over 20 dollars for one standard bagel with an orange juice then go to this establishment. Have the feeling they have a policy of over charging tourists as the pricing isn't clear. Went twice and charged two different prices, when queried the attitude was we were at fault not them. They need to be clearer on pricing as gives them licence to be inconsistent and set pricing as they see fit. Tourists Beware!

Delicious Breakfasts—Bagels and More!

By TravelBugVA |

We fell in love with this place for its bagels and blueberry muffins, but it offers much more! We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on 46th Street, so we did not have to walk far to find this “Hidden Gem.” Their chocolate rugelach was wonderful too. They prepare lots of gorgeous platters for special events.

Skip this place

By David R |

The guy who takes your order must be pretty fed up with his job. He is rude, doesn't understand English, and misunderstands the orders. You have to ask 20 questions to find items actually available because the menu is totally wrong. They don't have tofu cream cheese or Israeli salad, even though they are on the menu. The smoked salmon is bad. The orders come out wrong. Unpleasant experience. How do places like this stay in business?

Milk N Honey Midtown NYC Kosher Dairy

By leonardg904 |

A slightly more upscale and cleaner establishment than many kosher eateries in NYC. It aims to please with good food cooked well and pleasant service. Recommended!

A little gem.

By PAUL W |

Great food and location and the staff always have a smile. Really interesting establishment with lots of different goods for sale.

Excellent bagels, pizza

By KosherAndGlutenFree |

Probably the best kosher pizza and bagels in Manhattan. A little over-crowded at lunch time, and it can sometimes be hard to get the attention of the guys serving the bagels. And of course you are paying Manhattan prices. But kosher beggars cannot be so choosy, and the food is really very good. They also have wraps, pasta dishes, soups, and salads. Maybe 8 or 10 tables, but hard to find an empty one from 12-2 weekdays. They also have a Sukkah on a truck bed right outside during the holiday.

Breakfast Bagels done right

By dmarun |

We were looking for a quick breakfast close to the hotel and happened upon Milk N Honey, full with locals and tourists alike. Having experienced, similar cafes/delis in the area, we found this a little slower and slightly more chaotic than some of the others. The establishment was crowded (yet inviting) and clean. The staff was friendly. The food ranged from good to excellent (get the bagels). The price was a little on the high side. Overall, this is a very, very good breakfast goto (and kosher, too).

Convenient for kosher food in Midtown

By wherehaveinotbeenyet |

If you're in Midtown and need kosher food then this is a convenient place to go. I visited twice and only ordered vegetable soup both times, so can't really comment on how good the food is, but the soup was filling and tasty. It seemed very chaotic as it wasn't clear where you needed to stand to order your food and everyone looked very confused. One one visit someone shouted out my order for me as I was struggling to order, and then they wouldn't give me my soup at first as they thought it was for him! You have to queue up twice, one to order and once to pay, and they really need a better system.
