My son and I wanted a nice casual meal after seeing Phish at MSG. Molly Wee Pub fit the bill perfectly. We started off with the mozzarella sticks, which were basically your generic brand but tasted really good with the marinara sauce. I was in the mood for a fresh, tasty salad and got it with the 'Molly Wee Salad". Great combination of flavors along with a wonderful variety of dressings. My son opted for the burger and fries and he was in cholesterol heaven! The service was great and our waitress was a doll...super friendly and attentive. If you are in the MSG area and want a great little place to stop into for a bite and a drink, go see Molly Wee!!

The pub puts aside booths for diners but you still feel part of the pub atmosphere. Servers friendly but not over bearing. Good pub food and beer and cider offerings. Not too far from MSG if you want a pre or post event meal or drink

Visited this place on memorial day weekend 2015, it was right around the corner from our hotel and its right across the street from Madison Square Garden. The food and drinks here was fantastic pub food.. great place to watch a Rangers game...

This was a great location near MSG and Penn Station. I loved the pub feel and the open air to the street. The service wasn't great and I felt like I had to make myself known to be acknowledged. The food was just okay. It was weird that there was a TV with sound, and radio with sound, and a juke box with sound.....overload on sound. If this is convenient to your plans it is okay, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

Had an hour to kill on a business trip and stumbled upon the Molly Wee. It’s everything I wanted and checked every box for an Irish pub. It will be an every time spot for a drink and a bite moving forward.

Very near madison square gardens and penn station. Good service and large selection of draft beers. They service food but we did not eat.

We came in to sit and eat, no one came over to help us. I went to the bathroom came back to the table and still nothing. I was hungry so I pulled out a cookie and the bartender threw a coaster at me and told me to leave. He threw 2 coasters at me in total. I feel disrespected and I truly believe that this was a racist act. This place is a terrible place for anyone

The Molly Wee Pub is the restaurant that I recommend the most when someone is visiting NYC. It's a NYC Landmark. A block from the Worlds Most Famous Arena (Madison Square Garden) and close to Herald Square, Times Square and The Highline. The food is basic bar food, great beer list and tasty cocktails. The Chicken Supreme is my favorite but the Burgers and Soup are also excellent. You can't go wrong with this neighborhood pub. Enjoy!

This bar is great, the food, staff and atmosphere, we called in for a drink ended up staying for food and few more drinks. Staff just couldn't do eno, wish I could give 10 starts. A must visit

We were on our way to a Knick's game and stumbled upon a treasure. At first, the staff isn't as friendly as your neighborhood pub, but they are used to the locals that come around everyday....and are Irish. After a few drinks, the bartender became warm and friendly. We had the appetizer sampler and it was awesome!! The buffalo wings have a sauce that is a combination of BBQ and Hot....totally rocked! I would recommend this place if you are in the Madison Square Garden area and want to go to a "locals" place!

I'd eaten here a couple of years ago, I think, and remembered the food's being good. So, when I wanted a relaxing dinner in that area last week, I came by again. (You mightn't think of a pub as being relaxing. But we're talking the 5.30-6.00 pm range, and there weren't any major sporting events going on.) The service was prompt and attentive, and the food was again excellent. I ordered one of the specials, the sauteed sole, in spite of the typo on the specials sheet ("Sauteed Filet Solet"). I got two nice-size filets, tender and tasty, the butter sauce ample but not overwhelming. I'd have preferred a bit more of the (fresh) mixed vegetables and a bit less of the whipped mashed potatoes, but they were good. It came with "soup or salad": I opted for a beef barley soup. Nice. Small cavil: The Xeroxed specials sheet doesn't indicate that those entrees come with a choice of soup or salad. When I asked my waitress, she initially misunderstood my question -- she really didn't know what "a la carte" meant! -- so it took several moments to straighten that out. A less small cavil: it's a bit pricey. I understand that prices go up -- they go up everywhere -- but it felt like a bit much to pay at a "pub." Still, when I want this kind of dinner in this kind of atmosphere, I'll definitely return here. (I'll probably wait until after the World Cup, however!)

For The first time in my life HAVE I EVER EXPERIENCED RACISM. I YESTERDAY AT 8pm randomly came across a Bar @mollyweepub and initially noticed that it was indeed ALL CAUCASIAN faces, me myself? I don’t see color until someone shows their truest color/s etc. I had food from Panda Express, HOWEVER I BOUGHT A DRINK FROM THE BAR to sit down and eat my Panda Express as well as drink in which I bought from the Pub & As I began eating and drinking my beer at the pub, A CAUCASIAN GUY TO ME MANAGER OF THE PUB COMES RUSHING OVER WAVING HIS FINGER IN MY FACE AND AT MY FOOD, and told me I CANT EAT THERE AND I SAID YES I CAN, I BOUGHT A DRINK and I can eat here (I also even asked and told the bar tender what I was doing in which he said it was okay) THIS GUY rushes over snatched the beer before even giving me my money and told me I needed to leave.....HE THEN opens the side door of the bar holding my money in hand & then tried calling the cops to say “I was loud” and never once said that I was eating in a space etc etc he said “I was loud and was on private property.” OUT OF EVERYWHERE I NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH DISCRIMINATION AND DISRESPECT. You will be hearing from me. MOLLY WEE PUB ON 402 8th Ave, NY NY 10001

Found this place while wandering the City and found the staff to attentive, genuine, and welcoming. Really enjoyed ourselves over a couple of cold drafts. Nice place.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food - adults and children alike. The service is very friendly (maybe a bit slow), portions are tasty, fresh, and large enough, and the combined sports bar / Irish pub atmosphere is nice without being overpowering. We enjoyed both meat and salad dishes.

Have been coming to this pub for years now and our recent trip to New York involved a very enjoyable visit to the Molly wee. Our burgers were delicious and the service was excellent. This place is clearly run very well with an emphasis on making their customers feel right at home. Thank you Molly wee for a great meal and drinks!

Stopped in as iwas exploring the area. I didn't eat but had a pint before I continued to explore. Decent prices and super clean, friendly staff and very close in proximity to the train station and madison square gardens... would definitely go back and I would recommend it.

Was on holidays in NYC recently and came in here for some food before heading to a Hockey Game in the Garden, have been here before on previous trip to NYC and couldnt wait to go back. Great service, Friendly staff and fantastic food - all good reason to make sure you go there. 4 people in my group and we all really enjoyed our meals - will always be on my 'to do' list anytime i visit nyc

We came to the pub for dinner before a show at MSG. I've always walked passed but never stopped in because they were always crowded, which was a good thing. We only had to wait five minutes for a table which was more than fine with us, because the place was packed. We ordered drinks and a couple apps, and dinner. Apps = buffalo wings (not traditional buffalo sauce, a little on the sweeter side but still had a little kick to it) and the pot stickers (excellent dipping sauce I have to say) Prior to getting the drinks and food, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. This is my issue with this place. I found the soap dispenser empty so I went to find the hostess/manager to tell them to fill it. She said "ok, no problem, I'll get someone to do that right away." So I gave it a few minutes and went and sat down. As the apps came I went to wash my hands again and found the soap to still be empty, so I approached the woman and kindly asked if it was being worked on to be refilled because I was still waiting, and shockingly her response was, "We are really busy, I only have six servers, I don't have time for that right now, you can use the women's room." "The woman's room?!?!", I said. Why do I have to go into the women's room to wash my hands? Besides, there was a line for the women's room, I guess a man has to wait on line with women in order to wash his hands. So I had to stand there, completely embarrassed, waiting, when finally a woman asked why I was in line, and I told her there was no soap in the men's room and the manager told me to use the women's room. All I wanted was soap, so she let me in front of her so I can put soap into my hands, and I went back into the men's room to use the sink. I mean for something so simple but yet, so really important, considering the Board of Health would have a very serious problem with this, I couldn't believe the situation I was put into. I was extremely uncomfortable and in the end left the restaurant wanting to not go back. If filling soap is a difficult task, what else is going on here that is not sanitary?? Even not really caring about a customers request for soap in a bathroom. How do the male employees of this place wash their hands? Isn't that a law?? There are pubs and restaurants all over that area, I will feel much better visiting a place elsewhere. Maybe I'll even check the bathroom before I sit down. Ha!

Great pub for drinks . Gives you a real Irish feel inside. You almost feel guilty ordering anything else besides a Jameson or Guiness ( only kidding)stop in before or after any garden show.

The Molly Wee Pub always delivers-- great food, drink, ambience and service!! Conveniently located near Madison Square Garden, Penn Station and some hotels.

I dropped by here while walking around the city. The patrons as well as the employees were welcoming, no stuffiness here. It took a few times to get the bartenders attention to finally give me a Guinness beer and water. Expect wait some time for a proper Guinness, however not for a water to accompany it. In the end, the Guinness beer was delightful, I shared a few laughs with the bartender and I'll definitely drop by again next time I'm in the neighborhood

A wonderful Irish pub. Good food and great drinks . Lots of beers on tap. You can walk into the Molly Wee a stranger and walk out with new friends. I usually stop in before Ranger games and the place is rocking. Great burgers and fish & chips .Traditional Irish pub menu. Friendly staff and great service.

After the Christmas Show myself, two daughters and two young grandchildern age 7 and 10 enjoyed a great meal here. Small reasonably priced for NYC and very good service. Great choice of pub food as wellas entrees.. We enjoy the burgers , turkey club and apetizer platter. All prepared to our liking. Great location and atmosphere... staff very helpful.

Whenever i come to the city my first stop is always the Molly Wee. It's a cozy Irish pub that feels like home.

Don't think people from the UK are wellcome in this pub .didn't make me feel welcome drity looks from start to finish landlady ???

The food was good to fair with large portions This isn't located in a great part of NYC but is convenient to MSG. The Manager, Aleshia is very abrasive -- she started yelling and screaming at us for sitting at a table. I explained to her that we were told by the bartender to sit anywhere except those tables that were reserved. She then started yelling and telling us that she was the manager and was expecting over 100 people b/c of a concert at MSG and that she was going to fire the bartender on the spot for telling us this- which she didn't do. She gave us another table a short while later. When we left at 7:20 PM for the concert, there were around 60 people at the Bar. No where near the 100 she was expecting. The smart people went to MSG and grabbed dinner there, which is what we'll do next time.

Great as a go-to place after a gig at the garden. Not too busy which I liked, sat at the bar and the friendly batman chatted to me while I was waiting on my chap to arrive. Felt comfortable as a female on my own. Didn't eat but the beer was good!

If you're Irish (as the song goes) stop in here. Very near Penn Station, I've often built a two-hour layover into my train trip when I could have caught a more immediate connection to ensure a stop here. Pub food, daily specials, great beer. Burgers are big and GREAT. Stop for a weekday lunch and say "hi" to Sharon on the bar! GREAT service. Sports bar overtones weave in at night (some great Rangers memorabilia, photos on wall)

Popped on for a quick drink, friendly staff who found us a table despite the place being very busy (it was 6pm before a Rangers game). The pub was full of hockey fans but these are not like English soccer fans - they are friendly and willing to have a chat with tourists! Would recommend.

We arrived without a reservation at about 3:45pm on a Sunday afternoon. All tables were reserved and we didn't think we would be seated. There was no hostess so I asked a waitress if we could get a table for two. She quickly cleaned the only table I could see that was empty, and seated us. She was prompt with our drinks, took our order, and the food arrived in a very timely manner. I had the Cobb Salad, which had a large side of dressing that I didn't even use completely. My daughter had the Tuna Salad Sandwich on white toast with fries. She said it was very good. The dining section isn't very large. The bar is lively. The lighting is bright and the decor is very sporty. I drank water and my daughter drank soda. Including a 20% gratuity the bill came to $41 and change. On par for a mid-town lunch.

Called into Molly Wee's on our last day in New York on our way to the Port Authority for the airport. The craic was great chatting to Siobhan the bar tender from Mayo! The service was excellent as was the food! Sarah helped out when Siobhan was busy. Would certainly recommend headed back to Armagh with good memories. Mayo for the all Ireland!!!

Popped in for a drink, ended up eating. Service very friendly, great beer and some of the best burgers me and my husband have ever had!

Went for dinner before Billy Joel concert . Only one block away for the Garden made it convenient. After being told of an available table ended up waiting 15-20 mins. Place is small and tables are tight. If you can get past that then this place is worth a visit. Service was good considering the kaios going on. Had the Sheppard pie which was nice and hit with plenty of filling . Menu looked good and all of the food coming out looked exceptional. Will be my place anytime I go back to the Garden .

Stopped by for a drink while meandering up 8th St. Excellent staff, Irish accents and all. Bartender was attentive and excellent to chat with. Bar has AMI so we had some fun playing Irish music to make it feel a bit more authentic. Stop in if you're walking by!

In an effort to get away from the craziness of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade we headed to Molly Wee’s. Very excited that Alicia was at the door. Busy but we managed to get a table. Great service as always, very attentive staff despite being very busy. Fish & Chips were delicious, burgers were good too. Spent a few hours chatting and enjoying a few drinks. Well worth checking out good location very close to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

Great atmosphere. Authentic Irish Pub. Good burgers. Nice full bar and draft beers. Pleasant and friendly servers. Near MSG.

Happened by this lovely little pub on a very wet and rainy visit. Good beer, good food, good craic! We had fish & chips, and the corned beef and cabbage. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely stop in again when we're back here!

Stopped here for lunch. It is located right across from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. There were 5 of us and staff was great (even after we spilled our drink!). We ate Cobb salad, burgers, tuna sandwich, etc. All of it was yummy and hit the spot. Expect to pay around $13-$25 for most entrees.

I stopped by there every night for a week. It was a across from my hotel (Riff Chelsea). Cool atmosphere with decent food and authentic bartenders from Ireland.

My family has been to numerous "Irish Pubs" throughout the city and this one is off our list. You expect excellence in NYC for the price you pay. My Kahula with club soda was the color of weak iced-tea. Any real Kahula drinkers know how dark it should be. The club soda charge was $2.50 and the Kahula charge was $8.00. And I forgot to mention it was filled with ice McDonald's style. The chicken pot pie was a runny mess with a soft, thin puffy crust on top. The chicken and veggies were sized for a lumberjack's mouth. Our server attempted to meet our needs but seemed distracted and non-chalant. The patrons were rude, tables too close, noise level was high - definitely not a place to have meaningful conversation. Ending on a positive note - the hostess was fantastic - she made accommodations for us immediately because of a child in our group. Chose this place because is was close to the Garden - within walking distance. Would rather pay for a cab to go elsewhere.

I ordered the fish n chips here and it was delicious! The atmosphere was warm n welcoming. The staff were so friendly. The hostess kept checking on us and we loved it. They were so nice to charge my phone for me. :)

There is some "tourist food" on the menu, but if you stick with the specials or the core Irish items, you're going to be very happy. Irish hostess, waitress and I assume one of the matriarchs in the kitchen (can't say for sure). Leans towards the old-school style (Melba Toast in the cracker basket). The only possible negative was the bread. Two of the rolls seemed a bit stale, but the Irish soda bread (with raisins) was really good.

Nice cool bar, dropped in for a cold beer but ended up having a very nice platter. Good place worth a visit.

We stopped for a cocktail on our way to dinner as we loved the name of the pub. Festive decor, real Irishmen waiting on us. A terrific dirty martini. The food looks good but we didn't try it.

We stopped in here after our train arrived in NYC. Great burgers, french onion soup and apps! Nice atmosphere and great service! Would go back when in the area.

Super, i really liked it! Starters and sandwiches are amazing! We ll come back ad soon ad possible! People are very nice! If u go to nyc you must stop in here!

Ok, so I love to find a good, friendly pub when out of town. This place was rated high, and decent looking inside. A couple people at the bar ( no one eating). The older lady who was rushing for drinks and food order, very brusque, and I didn't like how we were treated. Order one round of drinks and just didn't like her attitude, so we decided to have the one drink and move on. I know this is in a touristy (Penn Station) area, but it gives no right to act so rudely when you're in a service business. Sorry you hate your job, or you just didn't like us, but keep the attitude to yourself.

If you are around the 30th street west in Manhatan do not hesitate to pay a visit to the pub. The food is good and if you are a ice hockey adicted, the match days of the NY Rangers playing at home in the Madison Square Garden, the ambiance is tremendous.

Reasonably authentic Irish pub, NY style. Food was good and the place was well equipped with TV screens to watch soccer or football.

Came out of M S G and had to have fish and chips with an honest pint. Gave my order at the bar, black and tan pt. F & C's and went to a table. The brought me a bud... honest to God I laughter it was so startling. Off went the fresh Prince of beers but I never saw my pint in till the food came. Limp chips soagy better fish tat was so raw my fingers slipped twice trying to pull at it. Left it all and remembered what my English mum used to say...

60 dollars for a burger, chicken sandwich and 3 drinks. Not worth it. When asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee and replied no straight away the bill came. We were not asked if we wanted another drink. I think they wanted the table as it was very busy. We felt rushed.

The food was typical Irish bar standard fare, steak, burgers etc and was good. We enjoyed our evening there but there was one down point. The lady who acted as hostess on the night we were there was blunt and hard over and above a New Yorker's usual style. It was off putting when we first arrived and not in line with a friendly Irish welcome. At the end, our Ulster bank credit card failed as UB is notorious for cutting off your credit card randomly if you are abroad and for that reason we always carry sufficient cash when aboard. She comes out and throws the credit card on the table and says that card is "no good". Blunt, hard and not discrete. Anyone who works in an Irish bar, particularly one that attracts people from Ulster would know this about the UB card. The very nice waitress came over to us afterwards and said those UB credit cards are a devil for that, acknowledging that this can happen. We left her a large tip as she saved the night for us. The hostess should take a leaf out of her book and consider her customer service skills and adjust them in line with the product she is offering - good craic in an Irish bar.

This has become one of our go to places when we are down to NYC for an event at MSG. Drinks are good, food is good. I’ve always found the staff to be very friendly. We were there last Saturday night before the Springsteen show at the garden. Lots of fans there, music blaring. Great atmosphere. Hostess got us two seats at the bar. Came back on Sunday before our train home and had a nice lunch. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced.

We popped in there for a few drinks and a bite to eat, not long after our arrival in NYC, we we're staying just down the block. The lady/Landlord that runs it or works behind the bar, needs to pop back to Ireland and see how it's done, about as welcoming as a sand storm, her side kick Waitress wasn't much better. It was like they didn't want you in there, and they want tipping lol. The customers in there were more welcoming, food very bland and dull. To be fair the young girl that served us later on was nice. If you want a real warm welcoming and a nice pint of Guinness and $2 cheaper a pint go three doors down to the Blarney Stone. Brilliant food fresh reasonable. Please swerve this place Molly Wee so disappointing.

Traditional pub grub without anything fancy. Overpriced, as everything else in NY. Good service and nice ambience.

The place to go if you like burgers or apple pie and ice cream, I tried both. I was in New York for 5 days and ended up at Molly Wee's twice, just for the people and the feel of the place (also, food is good here!) Not much else to say, if you want to spend a day getting a bit of work done or just need a break, sit at the bar and order some pie. If you need meat, the burgers are great. You'll be well taken care of here.

This place is home from home during all our visits here. Staff are Irish and friendly, which is a major bonus in any bar - never mind one in NYC! Location is great for grabbing needed food and drinks after the Highline Walk (starts one block over on 9th Avenue and 30th) before/after Madison Square Garden, or to take a break from shopping on 34th street.... The menu is extensive and I can personally recommend my favourites - the Molly Wee Combo, Chicken Delight, Molly Wee Burger, Tuna Melt, Pasta a la vodka. I'm slightly addicted to their signature wings here!!! A trip early in your visit to NYC will ensure a return. So many are disappointed when they leave it too late and only get to eat/drink in the Molly Wee once. Take my advice and visit the Molly Wee early!

We landed up at close to about 2 AM in morning. Waiting at table for someone to attend - till we realized that it was self service. The drinks were good and well prized though!

We just dropped in for a quick bite and were treated to the best service I can remember. Crazy fast and super friendly with excellent food as well. I highly recommend!!!

Stopped in for a drink while exploring the city. Suzie was a great bartender, who made us feel very welcome. We didn't eat but the food that came out looked very good.

It had a "Cheers like" feel and the food was above average. One block from Penn Station and diagonal to the Chelsea Star Hotel.

Visited this restaurant during a business trip in November and stop by for a quick bite to eat. I must say the food and drink selections were great. I order a chicken pot pie which was the best I've had by far at any restaurant. If you are in town and looking for some good food to eat and have a drink, I would definitely recommend the Molly Wee Pub.

We drank a Guinness pint for $ 7,50, a Goose IPA for $ 6,50 and a Glass of White Wine for $ 5,00. So, affordable. The athmosphere is all right; a bit European, so pefect for us, elderly people.

Just happened to walk by at dinner time, and was positively surprised. Typically irish pub, but really good service and great fish and chips. Clean restrooms also.

The service was lackluster. No effort by waitress to be friendly. Almost a bother that we were there. Lacked a friendly atmosphere. The Molly Wee burger was ok, but nor spectacular, and you'd think as one of the day's first customers that they could be spot on. The Guinness was ok. Other burgers at the table were good. The chicken tenders were good. I'd go try somewhere else.

One of the nicest and friendliest pubs in New York, the food is fantastic and the staff are efficient and friendly, would easily recommend this venue as a must to visit for anyone heading to New York.

This was recommended by our Airbnb host. Great food. I had the lunch fish special and it was so good. Not greasy, great breading, and good dipping sauces. Family owned. Nice and helpful staff. I would highly recommend stopping in if you are in the Chelsea area.

Needing a friendly spot for dinner with some real chips and quality food. Followed trip advisor to this pub just a stone throw from our hotel. Food was great, service was very good and setting was very pleasant - a sweet alternative to stopping back at hotel room. Thanks

Nice enough place. It's a pub so that's what you get. The wife ordered the chile and it was hands down the best chile we've ever had!! Service is good friendly fast.

Nice little bar, very good service. Relaxed atmosphere and a good selection of beers. Staff were friendly and very polite.

Right next to madison square garden, we came here twice for food. Big portioned grub and the burger with blue cheese added was delish. Good price for the portion, and good location. Staff friendly.

A fairly "A" typical Irish Pub, and if you're on your way in, or out of an event at the Garden, or just waiting to get the next train, this is a Great place for a Beer, and a Burger. Service was very efficient, and the staff friendly too. Very Accommodating!

Please be aware of this bar. I had a few drinks there last night. I handed my credit card to the bartender and even invited a father and son from Wales next to me for a drink. The next thing I realized was that my wallet was stolen. They keep pulling my reviews I reported the theft to the bartender and the manager, but they were unhelpful. They immediately accused me of bothering the hookers and their clients next to me, even though I never spoke to them. They asked me to leave the bar right away. Shortly after, I discovered that my credit cards had been charged thousands of dollars. I am pretty sure the manager and the thieves are working together. Please hold your wallet tightly. I was left on the street without a penny. Thanks to the lovely officer who took me home. If you need help, please call 212-239-9811.

I haven't been here in msny years. So I stopped in the get a burger, it's still amazing, great food friendly staff. Eat here!

I love coming here for years. there are no nasty bartenders, and they have great burgers. this is about the only irish pub I would go to!

Stopped there for drinks last night and was a little disappointed. The bartender wasn't really attentive and could've been friendlier.

A business colleague and I stopped for late lunch and a cold beverage after business meeting. Nice place, good food, and relaxing.

...to cool off in the late summer heat. A very Irish place. Not the most friendly,, but not the worst I've been in.

Got recommended this place by a steward in Madison square garden for the best local burger, he was not wrong. Basic Irish pub, great burgers, really good value for money. It was an excellent place to stop after being at Madison square to let the traffic settle.

We stopped in here on a busy Friday afternoon before the Billy Joel concert. It was good. Busy. We were asked if we were eating, and we were. I assume this is why we were led to a table. Food was good, service was fast and efficient. Nice small pub atmosphere.

Really enjoyable meal in comfortable surroundings. Lovrly sraff. Love visiting the Molly Wee when in NY. I had the BLT - delicious!

I liked this open-at-allpub, food was very nice, service could be better aiming at cleaning tables before getting you the food, but one can bear with that if the food makes you forget it all. On the high front tables to the window it is really nice lots of light and one can have great fun looking at Newyorkers passing by ....

I've been going into this bar every time I'm in New York for the last 25 years . Great food & beer as a good a pint of Guinness you will get anywhere, friendly staff ,big Paul behind the bar is a good a barman you will get anywhere.

A thirst quenching pint of Brooklyn lager after walking the highline. Nice place. The beleek in the display case puts it head and shoulders above the manufactured Irish pubs of the world. A great shot to enjoy a drink. We did not try any food. Clean and maintained bathrooms.

Went here sadly on our last night.sat at the bar and had a few beers.lovely small bar with a great atmosphere served by a nice barman from Ireland.when we return to nyc this will be our first beer and food stop.I highly advise a visit to this pub.lots of Irish memorabilia inside.well worth a visit.can’t wait to return.

Stopped in with friends on our way back from the San Gennaro's Fest for a few drinks. The bar was packed and we only found 3 seats for the 4 of us. One pof the patrons just moved without asking so we could sit together. Great gentlemen Bartender came right over even though the bar was packed, we are now liking this bar very much. Bartender told us all about the bar while still taking care of all of the patrons. We ordered sme appy's as we were still full from the feast. They were good and plenty of them. Will definitely stop back in.

Poor customer service, rude staff, horrible atmosphere. Asked for recommendations and staff reply was rude and unhelpful.

We had struck out several times looking for an Irish bar, but when we got to Molly Wees and the bartender, Sean, was from Dublin, we knew we had found it. We had a great time chatting with Sean and other patrons in this friendly pub.

We wandered in to the Molly Wee Pub on our first night in New York City. The atmosphere was great and the staff (particularly Paul) so welcoming that we went back the next two nights. This pub was our first port of call after a long day sigthtseeing. Food is good and they make you feel like you are a true local. Would not visit NYC again without going back here. Thanks Paul and crew for making our trip to New York so enjoyable

I had just flown into Newark Airport from Arizona and taken the train to Penn Station, arriving at 11:30 pm. Thanks to Tripadvisor I located this place on my way to my hotel on 29th Street. The place was very busy, crowded, but not too obnoxiously noisy. I ordered the steak with onions and mushrooms and a beer and it was very satisfying. The service by Kevin from Ireland was very prompt and gracious.

My wife and I ordered the Wee salad and Club turkey sandwich which included fries. The portions were generous but there was nothing special about the salad or sandwich; in fact, both were rather tasteless. The fries looked cooked from frozen grocery store. The waitress forgot our water and the service was slow; granted it was a busy night but still, don't all restaurants have busy nights? Overall, not impressed at all.

Nice welcoming atmosphere and the usual buzz from a busy bar. We were seated by a helpful member of staff and provided with menus almost immediately. We were pleasantly surprised by the low cost of food and drinks. We enjoyed our meal and the only disappointing aspect was our waitress not keeping an eye. I had to go to bar to order another drink and it was the same when I was looking for the check.

Really good food and lovely beers. We had dinner here three Times during our holiday in NY . The service take care of you and the quality of the food si high.

wandered across this place while in NYC for a concert at Madison Square Gardens. Fantastic food, great staff. I had a unbelievable seafood over linguine dish and my partner had the chicken pot pie. Both were awesome and we thought someone was going to have to roll us back up the street when we were done we were so full.

We were in this pub almost two years ago and had to go back on our recent visit to New York. It is a real local bar with lots of character and charm. And Sean, the bartender, from Dublin, is still there. He is a real treat to talk with. If you want to visit an authentic New York pub, this is the place.

The service is excellent, staff is very attentive. Food came out quick and hot. Classic Irish Pub atmosphere. Great Irish coffee minus the coffee :)

We dropped into the Molly Wee pub for no other reason than we were bone tired walking around NYC and this was the only place that didn't look like an amusement park or fast food giant and would be a more adult atmosphere. The late afternoon service was perfunctory at the bar - nothing more and nothing less. We weren't offered a menu so no meal was had. The bathrooms were okay although they looked like they had been through the proverbial wars. Drinks were standard pub prices. Recommend: Quick drink, Molly Wee is perfect.

Stopped here before seeing Billy Joel. It was very busy I'm surprised we got a table right away. I had the chicken pot pie and hubby had a burger. My pot pie was delicious and the burger, well...was a burger, but was good. Friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Although I was born in New Orleans many moons ago, I have lived in New York City since 1963. I have lived in Atlanta, Boston, London, Nassau (Bahamas), and Kodiak, Alaska. I first went to Molly Wee Pub about eight or ten years ago. I was with three friends and we went there for lunch. Someone in the group recommended it. I remember being very surprised and pleased with the food and drinks. Over the years, I have gone back to Molly Wee. Mainly for their shepherd's pie and chicken pot pie. Tonight, I was in the mood for chicken pot pie, so I headed to Molly Wee. One of the specials tonight was curried chicken, rice and veggies. I decided to try that instead. Yum yum. The food was delicious. It was during this meal that I realized that Molly Wee might just be my new favorite neighborhood restaurant. As the name implies, Molly Wee Pub is, indeed, a pub. An Irish pub, in fact. But, though its bar is perhaps the centerpiece of the place, there are lots of tables available for customers who come primarily to dine. I always sit at a table. My feelings tonight rather surprised me. But, they shouldn't have. The food at Molly Wee's had been consistently good. The ambiance -- despite being a stone's throw from Madison Square Garden, one block away -- has always been pleasant and never noisy. So, I've decided to share my feelings with you: Molly Wee Pub is a great little restaurant right in the heart of Chelsea and you should check it out. In fact, it may be my new favorite neighborhood restaurant.

Great atmosphere, decent service but very disappointing food. The house salads were very good, but everything else was not. The Shepard's pie was below average and the fish and chips was terrible. For a Irish pub, that's totally unacceptable. Would not recommend this place.

We stopped in here while we were waiting for a friend to arrive at Penn Station. Is is close to Penn Station and MSG. It is an Irish pub and the atmosphere is great. The had a good selection of beer. We didn't eat but the people next to us got food and it looked good. Sean was our bartender and he was fantastic. He was great to talk with and is the reason we had two or three drinks instead of one.

I was very happy with my visit to the Molly Wee Pub. Service was awesome, the staff was very personable. The food is that of a typical Irish-American pub, but it was cooked perfectly. Can get a bit busy on game days, but not overwhelming. Prices are very reasonable especially in NYC.

Stop in before the garden there food is always good from the burgers to the chichen sandwiches. Service is always fast and friendly

Went in for food as there wasn’t a great choice of places along the street, if you get the chicken wings please ensure that you have good dental insurance as they were the worst wings to grace god greens earth the waitress wouldn’t give us a minute too couldn’t wait to get out and the best part was the meal cost nearly 100 dollars I nearly choked. Water was lovely though

Visited here one night for food and drinks. Pub was cosy and beer and food good. The problem was the waitress who was fairly miserable. Asked for separate cheques just told no. Shame this could be a great place.

Stopped for a pint as I had some time to kill before catching a Penn Station train. Guinness was good! ($8) not much atmosphere, and not particularly friendly but pretty authentic Irish pub.

When ending our visits to NYC, we typically eat here before catching our train. The Molly Wee has good food, it's a nice place & used to be great atmosphere. However, the staff is not friendly anymore. The bartender and the server stood at the far end of the bar & chatted away with only each other, with little concern for customer service, let alone exchanging pleasantries with guests. The food is still good, although mine was so over-heated that, after 10 minutes, it was still too hot to eat.

Stopped here for a pint and a burger before a concert at the Hammerstein and we weren't disappointed! Food was great, wonderful pub atmosphere, and our bartender Shawn was excellent! Took great care of us the entire three hours we spent there, even though it was packed almost the whole time we were there. Would definitely go back the next time we are in the city!

my wife and I had a few nights in this pub when we stayed in new York for a week, realy friendly staff, was very welcoming especially 2 girls called [ aoife and brook, this is beside Madison gardens and our hotel the new Yorker, we had a few meals here and the food 100 % we did not go out hungry, great atmosphere, and also very wheelchair friendly, well worth a vist. Jamie and lizzy, newry

We stopped by Molly Wee's for a cocktail or two. It appears to be a family business and we were greeted warmly. The atmosphere was friendly, with Veterans and Active Duty on Veteran's Day enjoying many thanks. We wished we hadn't eaten so we could have tried the food. Maybe next time.

A nice place for having lunch. The French onion soup and the molly wee burger are good choices. There're a lot of beer varieties and the price is competitive. Very kind personnel. A good Irish bar in midtown Manhattan.

Typical Irish fare , meals are huge , so unless you are really hungry share a meal.staff were very friendly

Popped into MOlly wee for a bite to eat on a blazing hot Sunday afternoon. It as quiet and COOL! We had drinks and sandwichs which hit the spot.

My husband and I were early for our train so we stopped into Molly Wee for a drink and an early dinner. Molly Wee is very close to Penn Station. We ordered a couple of appetizers and two beers. Service was fast and we had plenty of time to enjoy our food and still easily catch our train. Highly recommend if you are nearby.

This bar/restaurant is definitely worth a visit or two when you find yourself 'shopped out', a great location close to 34th St and Madison Square Garden, situated 31st on 8th Avenue, we ended up visiting quite a few times on this trip, spoiled for choice with the menu, you need to try their chicken pot pie- delicious! Service was excellent as was the atmosphere!

We visited Molly Wee's following a Jets game over at MetLife, cold and undecided where to go we just happened upon this little bar and thought "why not". We actually got a nice seat for two in corner by the window, the vibe was excellent as it was Christmas Eve. Our server was attentive and polite and got us some beers before checking in on food. We both went for the chicken pot pie but requested a couple of sides of fries. The only minor grumble was that we seemed to get the fries as a starter, so we ate them (we'd had a few beers so why not) and then moved onto the pie. The pie was simply delicious, they are quite large but worth persevering with until the end. No complaints from us... If it wasn't that little bit too far from our hotel we'd have probably gone back another night, however, definitely on our next trip.

We got there at 4:30 on a Thursday with a friend in a wheelchair. We were seated immediately and easily. We were waiting for two friends to join us and we ordered an appetizer to wait. We weren't rushed at all. The beer selection is good and the burgers are excellent. By the time we left at 6:30pm it was very crowded but we were able to get our wheelchair out easily. I would definitely recommend the Molly Wee for drinks and dinner before a concert or event at Madison Square Garden, which is a block away.

Just got to NYC looking for some food close to the hotel so a couple of blocks away we walked into here. Obviously very american but had a great atmosphere american football on the tvs, different games on 3 screens etc a bit loud but this is NYC. The waitress came over quickly and was very dilligent and efficient. Really nice, polite, lady, we had our order in front of us very quickly and it was delicious, wewould definately come here again on our next NYC trip!

We stopped here for a beer after we got off the bus, didn’t eat. I guess the average grade is for the not so fresh Guinness and the rather ho-hum service. The menu looked decent, people who were eating seemed to be enjoying it and the atmosphere was nice. Of all the Irish bars in New York, this one was good, not great. If you’re in the area and thirsty check it out, otherwise I would not recommend going out of your way for it.

Walking in NYC and decided to go for a brew with a friend who happened to be in NYC & was bored. We went to this place on a Monday night. Located at a corner where there is a lot of traffic... Location: well located and easy to find decor: irish pub style, even the waitress were irish... menu: plenty of beers and some food if needed. service: great ladies & awesome service price: acceptable for NYC If you are in the area, go for it.

Molly Wee pub is fantastic. They had a special $8 coladas, daiquiris and pina coladas. It was 95 degrees out. I was all in for a frozen drink. Popped in nice and cool Quick service. Love the Irish pub theme. Suzy was awesome

We stopped in for lunch while exploring the neighborhood. It was a great little neighborhood pub. Nice location for sporting events. We enjoyed our dinner and our server was super friendly.

Pleasant Irish hole in wall, friendly service, good food. I had hoped to head into Brother Jimmy's BBQ when I got off the Amtrak for my first visit in over a year, but it was sadly closed down. One block away I found this unassuming hole in the wall. Irish accents on both sides of the bar Nd friendly service. Had the pastrami on rye. Standard for a good sandwich. I'd go again and suggest to anyone just getting off the train.

For NYC this place is huge! Lots of space. Front doors open so you can kinda sit on the sidewalk. Lots of delicious beers to try from all over. Plenty of tvs to chose from. Prices not that bad. Love going here!

We looked at the unimpressive and shabby menu in the doorway and walked on; on glancing through the window we saw it was set up for lunch, was quite full and looked rather nice so we retraced our steps and decided to give it a try. It wasn't anything particularly special but we had a very nice, reasonably priced lunch in pleasant surroundings. I suppose I should say that it is an overtly Irish Republican pub and Protestants might feel a bit uncomfortable about some of the pro-Republican items on display on the walls.

Stopped for a beer, owner was very sweet! Bartender was awesome, crowded on a Wednesday early evening. Nice place to relax and watch some sports on tv.

happy hour advertized outside .My husband ordered a pint and i asked for a white wine, my husband was served his pint ,the barmaid then ignored me and carried on talking to another customer before pouring some wine into a glass (she did not ask me what kind). the wine was very sweet, she imediately charged us the wine being ten dollars. i found the whole service rude and unwelcoming. Infact I felt she had ripped of the english couple. not happy

Right beside Madison square gardens and juat beside the New York City librarywhich is a lovely building. The Molly Wee has perfect pub grub amd a great atmosphere. That atmosphere is made all the better by Bar tenders like Darren who is great insigator of the craic and always up for a laugh while making sure you're fed and watered. Molly Wee is reasonably priced, especially considering it's in the middle of manhattan. GREAT SPOT!!

Enjoyed a night cap and supper here really good bar food fantastic best brand of my favourite brandy and very generous measures

I have gone here regularly over the courser of 20 years now. The Molly offers basic, satisfying, reliable pub-grub and service in a easy-going atmosphere. I plan to keep going regularly for some time to come.

Went to see Billy Joel at the Garden last week and we wanted a close small pub. Molly Wee was perfect. We had a cheeseburger and the barbecue grilled chicken sandwich. Both were very good and big. The fries were crispy and cooked perfectly. We also ordered Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. 7 thick sticks came out. The bill was around $65 (including 4 coronas) before tip. Not bad for NYC. I've spent more for a lot less food. The hostess, the waitress and the manager? were extremely friendly, and helpful but not to the point of us feeling rushed. The bar and most of the tables were full around 6:00 on a Saturday but we didn't feel like we were packed in. I think this place would be packed for a Rangers or Knicks game. Lots of TVs and the music playing in the background was loud enough to be enjoyed but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. Great mix of country songs and Billy Joel songs. Not what I expected in an Irish pub, but for us that was a perfect playlist. We will definitely go back.

We sat at a table by the window and were able to people watch as well as visit. The food was outstanding--I ordered the Shepherd's pie. The serving was large, and delicious. Definitely will go here again.

Good Irish Stew. Nice beer selection. Friendly place. Very Casuals. Reasonably priced. I'd go again if/when back in the neighbourhood. Would be a good place to watch hockey and have a few beers with friends. Mixed age of patrons.

Good Old Fashioned Bar. Gotta love that. Great food. Sports on the TV. Not priced ridiculously. Good place to hang and drink with friends. The loaded nachos with meat are amazing. Go check them out.

We had been walking the Hi-Line and decided we’d stop in somewhere for a drink. The delicious Irish Coffees were exactly what we needed to warm up and we stayed for a 2nd round and some appetizers. The food was tasty and it arrived hot. The wait staff was attentive and engaged in friendly banter with us. We also thoroughly enjoyed their playlist (yes, we sang along) a great mix of music. A pub where lovely Irish brogues hang in the air.

I can't say enough about this place. The food is good, the bartenders are great, and the beer is cold. Of all of the places in Manhattan, my girlfriend and I found ourselves wanting to go back and just sit and relax at this bar. There wasn't and "riff-raff" hanging out there, the staff was very accommodating, and the atmosphere was comforting. Although I'm not a Rangers fan (this is a Rangers bar), it would be a great place to watch hockey or any other sport while having a cold draft. Nothing was over priced considering it is located in the heart of Manhattan. I will definitely seek this place out if I travel to NYC again.

Molly Wee was not on our agenda for dinner but when we walked by, we immediately turned around. Abs boy were we glad we did! The food was fantastically delicious. Highly recomend the Shepard s pie…yum. The service was attentive and so nice. The atmosphere was so much fun…just what you expect from a pub.

Really nice Irish Bar near Madison Square Garden. I ordered shepherd's pie which was delicious and a fancy ice cream dessert. Service was very professional and they had very nice seating.

We dropped in here a few times as we were staying nearby and enjoyed our evenings. Its about the best bar in its local area and certainly the most welcoming. Beers are about average prices for the area but are better quality, it was the best pint I'd had to be honest. The staff are friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so why not call in and see what you think?

Our bartender was Keith on Sunday night and he was amazing !!! I was so happy to See that Molly Wee was still there and has the same Owners after all these years! I was a student at FIT in the 1990’s and used to frequent this bar. I know why they have stayed in business all these decades !!! No other bar in this neighborhood that has this atmosphere and great service !

We had nice hamburgers, perfectly cooked. Not a big selection of beers but the ones they have are good. Nice service. You get the irish touch

During our 2 week stay at New York, we instantly took a shine to the Molly Wee. The bar staff, Paul and Sean, were friendly and efficient. The bar was full of local characters. Typical New Yorkers- always pleased to speak to you, even us obvious tourists. The whole place just had a warm atmosphere. We tried other bars, including several Irish bars, which were cold, distant and solely after your dollars. The worst were the ones near Times Square and we quickly learnt to avoid these. Well done The Molly Wee - you get our commendation every time!

We had been in New York with our kids for a couple of days, busily seeing all the sights and doing all the touristy stuff. We had just walked the Highline on a hot summers day. We were all hungry and our youngest needed a wee. Then, we saw it... A good old fashioned pub. Just like the ones back home. And it had 'wee' in its name! Needless to say we spent the next two hours enjoying the warmest of Irish welcomes, cracking pub grub, a few glasses of excellent ale and an enjoyable respite from the hustle and bustle of New York sight seeing. Thank you Molly Wee.

Traditional american food in a cosy diner. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff - we ate here every night!

We stopped here to have a beverage, ended up having lunch as well. Close to Penn Station, if your waiting on a train perfect spot. Great bartender, true authentic Irish Pub. The Crock of sheaperds pie is delicous!! Dont forget the Irish steak sauce!!

Just down the street from Penn Station and MSG (a 5 minute walk with suitcases), the pub offers good food and pleasant service. Only negative was a clearly under-cooked burger, which the waitress replaced with courtesy.

Walking by after the Rachel Ray show: looked like a good place to eat so we stopped in for a burger and drink. Molly Wee burgers were great! Bloody Mary's had just the right amount of spice. Young lady waiting on us looked like she did not want to be there however and it somewhat took away from our experience as I might have ordered another round of drinks and maybe dessert. Never came round to even ask if we needed anything else or how our meal was. Luckily everything was good! Bloody Mary was great! Place is very clean, prices are fair for NYC. I would stop in again if I was in the area.

Right near Garden, so locale nails it for a game or show....Great bar staff and good pub grub with solid beer selection that is nice and cold!

We stopped in because it was close to our hotel. We ordered different burgers which were delicious and came with fries. The staff was very nice and helpful. We ordered cheesecake for dessert that was delicious. They get there desserts from local bakeries. The price was great too.

Within walking distance to Madison Square Garden, nice place to come and get a bite and cold drinks, staff very friendly and welcoming, would recommend. Looks bad from outside but quaint in.

This is a great Irish pub close to Madison Square Garden. The bartender Paul from Ireland was very chatty and friendly. (Paul, if you are reading this, we absolutely enjoyed our night). The food and drinks were very good. I'd definitely come back to this pub.

Bartender Allen isn’t nic though kicks ppl out he doesn’t understand and is very rude and unhelpful mean persomr

Decent pub... good service and fair prices. Recommended to whom likes to watch a good American football and needs a Jack Daniels

Molly Wees is a genuine Irish bar with Sean and Darren, the Irish bartenders. This neighborhood bar is fantastic. The service and atmosphere in very good. We spend many evenings in this welcoming bar every time we visit New York. We have met so many nice folks over the years and have become friends with Sean, our favorite bartender. If you want to experience an old time family Irish Pub, this is the place. I think the restaurant is good as well, but we have never eaten there.

This bar is a must stop when visiting nyc. Ideally located to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, shopping at Macy’s on 34th or coming from walking the High Line and/or Hudson Yards area. This is a super friendly establishment, with excellent bar and floor staff - as well as the owner Angela Reilly. An authentic Irish bar, with excellent drinks and top class food. Too many food choices to recommend - but the wings, skins, burgers, pastas are amazing. Very reasonable nyc prices. I’d advise that you visit at the start of your nyc stay, as you’ll be disappointed if you leave it until the end and only be there once!

We were visiting New York for an overnight stay. We chose this spot to eat at on our way to see The Lion King. The hotel we were staying at provided a listing of nearby restaurants, and the Molly Mee Pub menu provided an array of dishes that our family of four could agree on. The atmosphere is clearly a bar setting and not recommended for a very young family. However, it was quite fine for our family with older teens. The staff was moderately friendly. We were seated at a table as soon as we arrived right in the middle of Happy Hour. The food and drinks were delivered in a timely and courteous manner and was tasty. We all enjoyed the dish that we ordered and had more than enough to eat. Our ticket came to roughly $20 per plate. Recommend? Yes, if an Irish Pub is your thing. But for our family, another location would have been a better fit.

We love pubs and this one didn't disappoint. It had a great look to it, our waitress was A-1 top notch. The food and drinks were good and they had a good selection. One thing that sold us on the place was the entire staff acted like they all came with the place when it opened. They were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the pub. Not just someone looking for a part time job. I'm not sure what else to add, but we felt welcome and had a good meal. We'll go again one day.

Just stopped for a beer, no greetings, the waitress didn't even look at me but came with insults off my countrymen...lots of better choices in the area - but off course cheaper here since you save money on tips!

A welcoming place to eat for an event at Madison Square Garden. We were lucky to beat the crowd - so GET RESERVATIONS! We enjoyed our dinner. The French onion soup was tasty, a good mix of onions to cheese and crouton. (Cheese on top was plentiful....maybe too much and burnt black in spots spreading the char flavor too strong). The salad was fresh and good. The beef in my cheeseburger was excellent - very tasty and not frozen....the bun was eh'.....but good. The service was good - the servers all helped each other out as they got busier, but it slowed as the place filled up (understandable). The servers were nice but all business - nothing bad but not overly friendly We wont hesitate to return...though to be honest, Irish pubs just like this are all over the City - this was good but not able to differentiate as above average.

I met a Friend at this bar and we were sitting on a two top Table. He already had a soda and I was waiting for service. I waited over 30 minutes since I wanted to hug him. I proceeded to move to a bigger table since our table was extremely tiny and the place was almost empty. As I proceed to hug my friend on the 6 top table a very rude employee came over right away telling me that I couldn't sit there because they. Were reserving the table for at party of six. I suggest this establishments focuses on servicing the people that are at the bar not the imaginary people that are supposed to be coming.

Stopped for a couple of beers and were greeted by the friendly barmaid. Enjoyed a relaxing cold drink in a good atmosphere, plus I loved all the sports memorabilia on the walls.

We stopped to have a couple of beers and dinner prior to a N Y Rangers Game. Good Irish Pub type experience and very close to MSG.

Wonderful pub close to Madison Square Gardens. We chose to have a few beers here before going to see Bon Jovi at MSG. We only had drinks but the food also looked fantastic. Serves a good selection of drinks , beers IPA's etc... would definitely recommend if you're in this area of Manhattan. Lovely atmosphere with an open frontage which seems to enhance the experience.

Burgers are big and juicy. French fries were great. For dessert we both had strawberry cheesecake and it was good. No fresh strawberries, when they are in season now, but tasty nonetheless. They also have a brunch, so coming on the train you can eat there before noon if necessary. Service was excellent.
Lovely food, good atmosphere.
Lovely atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. A lovely oasis after 2 hours on the tour bus in freezing weather. Superb beers on draft. Sam Adams Las Iguanitas. Lovely hot, freshly made snacks and excellent portions. Recommend the 2 dishes we had.
