We have been going to Mulligan's Pub for many years. The past few times we were there the food, service and prices have changed. The service was sub par.The food has gone down hill and the prices have risen dramatically. We are now looking for a replacement for Mulligan's Pub.

Eating and drinking in NYC is expensive but then the same can be said in any major city, London, Paris. Food at the Muligans was very good, quick service, we were there at 4pm, and as with everywhere we ate in NYC, the staff were lovely, professional but with a personal touch. The pub was full of character and tables for dining not cramped together, had room to move. Thank you Muligans we thoroughly enjoyed our final meal in NYC.

We had just gotten into the city, checked in to our hotel, and needed a pint and a bite. Typical Irish pub visit, enjoyed our meal and Guinness. My husband's tuna melt looked awesome and the fries were good and crispy. He also loved the split pea soup. I had the steak house salad - great flavors in a good salad. Service was friendly and fast.

Friendly and buzzing location to have a quick drink while taking a break from the hectic NYC outside. Late lunchtime on a Monday, the bar was already busy.

Visited for dinner. Happy hour was in full swing and there were some VERY noisy and drunk customers. Nevertheless we ordered food. Food was good, decent sized portions and we all ate well.

Had lunch here with family the weekend before Christmas...got a table after just a few minutes wait. Christmas music in the background, tasteful decorations, attentive staff...drinks came quickly but we waited quite a while for food...typical NYC prices.

On first night in New York looking for a quick place to eat / drink, we arrived at 6:30 and it was 80% full great atmosphere good selection of beer, and food was very good, I has the house burger and my wife had a chicken finger starter (portion was = to. Main course)

My "go to" place when I need all things Irish - Jameson's - yes please. Brunch menu is wonderful - lots of choices and everything is cooked to order and is served hot. The aura is special just like I am in Dublin. The brouges are genuine and delightful to hear. .

Mulligan's was close to my hotel so I stopped by twice for drinks and a late night snack. The calamaretti were good. There was a good selection of beers on tap, and service is cheerful. One of these places I would warm up to if I were a resident of the Big Apple......

I meet my cousin here for dinner once a month. Good food and drink and great service from sweet Irish lasses :) nothing fancy here but food quality is consistent and all of the staff are friendly. If you like soccer (football) you're in luck as they show the games on multiple screens. My only gripe is that it's a smidge dimly lit and they turn the music too loud around 7pm.

I visited Mulligans many years ago with my Dad and it was always our favourite bar. Years later visiting New York again I had to take my Niece to her Grandads favourite bar. It's never changed. Staff were as friendly as ever. Drinks were reasonably priced and not hiked up like most of New York. The food menu offered a great choice, American and Irish classics. The food was so good. The bar gets so busy and we were lucky to get a seat. I would highly recommend it to anyone passing. I'll be back again soon

Needed to find a place to have a light meal and drink.. came upon Mulligan’s. Staff is efficient and friendly. Many televisions to view local games. Tables in front of bar and back of bar. Buffalo wings were too fried. Order a different appetizer or a soup.

Food was good, and service was attentive. However it was extremely noisy the moment you walked in. Being a Irish pub they had soccer on all their TVs with the volume going at full board. We selected a low table in the back of the pub that had fewer TVs and further from bar, slightly quieter. Had to almost shout to hear each other across the table. Probably fun with a group of friends for drinks and casual evening together, but if you are slightly tired and want to hear each other it is a little overwhelming. That said, the food was great!

Nothing more to say really. Great little find. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, reasonably priced drinks and tasty food. My husband and I got a sandwich between us, they even cut it up for us, put it on two plates, nothing was too much trouble. We visited nearly every day we were in New York. A great authentic little bar.

Stumbled upon this little gem. Of all the restaurants in the City - we got lucky. The place is great. We all ordered the hot corn beef sandwich and it was beyond excellent!! It was soo yummy. The service was quick and inviting and it had a relaxed atmosphere. Televisions are on if you wanted to watch a game. It's a small place but it was not crowded and the prices were reasonable. It was our second time there and we found it by chance. YES - go there, it has great food and is kid friendly. ENJOY!

Have used this bar for many years on business trips. Great for watching sporting events and staff extremely friendly.

Absolutely brilliant for food, drinks and generally looks after you when comes to advise on the city. Cant give this place the justice it deserves for the service it deserves!

We ate at Mulligans during our recent visit to New York. The food was average, the beer good, the service average but the overwhelming thing is the noise. If you want to talk to your wife/husband, friend or even order a meal of drink, forget it. You have to shout to be heard which spoilt our evening. OK, I accept that there are other quieter places nearby, but thought this place would have a decent atmosphere. The noise drowned out everything else. Go here with earplugs and you may stand a chance!

Came here one evening looking for cheap and cheerful pub food. I ordered the cottage pie and it was just average, I wouldn't recommend. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing off the menu but there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from in the city that have beautiful food at reasonable prices.

Our Server was the BEST. Drinks and especially the food were awesome and the atmosphere throughout was second to none. Limited time for our stay in NYC meant that I didn't get to have all that the menu offered. Will be definitely going back on our next trip!

What a bar; loads of screens for whatever sport you like. Good food and atmosphere, even though it's a Sunday. Don't come here though if England have lost.......

My wife and I dropped into Mulligan's for lunch and were sorry that we did. She ordered fish and chips, and they committed a cardinal sin for this dish... they did not adequately drain the fish. Further, instead of serving it on an absorbent material, such as the traditional newspaper, it was served on lettuce leaves. So it was totally soggy and gross, with the crust being a totally soggy, nasty mess that just slid off the fish. Yuck. I ordered Shepherd's pie... it wasn't good. It was very sweet and highly "tomatoey", but I could just write that off to someone's own interpretation of how it should taste. But... here is the real problem with it. The vegetables in the dish, carrots and peas, were crunchy. Crunchy carrots could be explained away if you are so inclined. But crunchy green peas? Never. It just wasn't good. The pub itself seemed pretty standard for a small pub. The bar area seemed nicer than the back area, which had low tables and is where we sat ourselves. My chair was... entertaining. It was so wobbly that I was concerned it might collapse under me. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us frequently, so that was a positive. However, one negative thing about the staff is that some guy, who clearly "worked" there (never saw him do any actual work), sat at a table behind us goofing off on his phone the entire time we were there. Seems there should be a better place to do that. Also, someone wearing a cook's garb joined him there for a time. This guy brought in some Asian take-out food and noisily slurped his noodles before returning to the kitchen. It's just... not the ideal way to do such things, and contributed to an overall atmosphere of low quality. Overall, we were very disappointed. We had been looking forward to hitting a "real" Irish pub in NYC, and I don't think this is it. We'll certainly never go back in our future visits to Midtown. There are just too many other choices that are much better.

If you're after a drink in a nice, New York pub then this is a place to go. Have a drink at either up at the bar or one of the many tables. There's quite an extensive selection for drinks as well as a good menu for meals. Service is friendly and prices most reasonable.

This place is a little treasure that has reasonable drinks and the friendliest staff in NYC. Real irishman behind the bar running things and willing to stay open as long as drinks are pouring. Great house music too!

Decided to try a new pub since my usual pub had closed. The inside is nothing remarkable, but the food and beer were great. I had Fish 'n Chips; they had plenty of malt vinegar and the fish was very good. Plenty of variety of beers, too. Bartenders were friendly.

This is a pub with food service. We enjoyed the atmosphere, there are plenty of screens to watch sports, people were enthusiastic about the football. The meal was not fantastic, nor the service. Both are OK, but not the best choice for a proper dinner. Probably suits better for those who like the night life...

Hopped off the bus in Grand Central and went for a walk to my hotel, got hungry on the way and saw Mulligan's .... definitely the best chips west of Kerry, all Irish there, nice staff, cold Guinness. Will be back soon ...

If you are looking to catch a weekend game of English Premier League in the Big Apple and want a nice comfortable place to watch,Mulligans is a good choice. They have good collection of beer and good food.Non alcoholic beer Becks is also available. Bartender was very friendly and service was good. Overall a good experience.

My family and I happened onto Mulligans simply by walking by it during a recent trip. We needed food and we needed it fairly quickly. I was surprised to not find a wait, as seems to be the norm in NYC. We were seated quickly and greeted by a very nice lady. I was quickly served a Black & Blue, (new favorite beer) and we ordered. We got our food in a timely manner, but not too timely. The food was actually quite good. I think the atmosphere helped out a lot too. It was warm, not loud and seemed to have a good local population at the bar. Very nice spot in the sea of chaos that's Mid-Town at lunch.

Great irish pub with great staff and great food. I come here for lunch often! If you go here try the chicken pot pie it is great!

Very popular, extremely loud, good beer, blend food. They love to mix drinks very hot even if not appropriate. Can't hear your neighbor unless you shout very loud.

Crawled in here in the heat of the day, 90 degrees, around 2pm, bar mostly empty had a beer and a gimlet in the chill A/C. perfect.

This was a random stop for a late lunch. Service was good, food and beverage selections were good, much as we have come to expect from NY pubs.

A friend and I ended up here by accident. We were served with a smile and quickly as well! I had a caesar salad and my friend enjoyed fish & chips. Everything was fresh and tasty! I would absolutely go back again!

On the day of our arrival, Nov 15, my wife and I had tickets for a 7:00 School of Rock play (so much fun) and didn't have much time to eat. Mulligan's was on the way, so we stopped and told the waiter we were in a bit of a hurry. He was most accommodating and our meals came speedy quick. Being a fan of chicken pot pie, I ordered it and was so disappointed. It came out with a big, puffy dough covering that made for a delightful presentation. Unfortunately - to my taste - the dough was not crisp, but soft and gooey and difficult to eat. The portion of cod was small and hard to find. Again, I was very disappointed. But my Brooklyn beer was great. And, we made it to the play on time thanks to the timely service.

We had dinner at this place. The burgers and fries were excellent. Service was impersonal and just average. Prices were reasonable for NYC.

New York has five boroughs and thousands of good restaurants. I enjoy the many fine but modest Irish pubs and restaurants that dot the New York scene. recently I visited and lunched at Mulligan's Irish pub where I had eaten once before.I had the delicious shepherd's pie topped with Dublin cheese and a pint of Guinness(my favorite brew). Mulligan's like many Irish-themed pubs that dot New York attracts a mixed crowd of sport bar enthusiasts, locals and nearby business diners lunch diners who desire friendly service, a fun atmosphere sprinkled with an Irish brogue and delicious pub fare. If you are on Madison Avenue around East 39th Street, do drop in. You won't be disappointed. $ to $$.

Had a few drinks and nachos before heading home. Drinks were cold and served with a smile. Nachos were large and good. That is all we had so cant comment on food. It does have large bar area with TV's all over and fair amount of seating.

I had lunch here today with a friend and the food was great! I ordered the Crab Cake and the Veggie Burger with steak fries. Everything was very tasty and fresh including the accompaniments such as the bed of salad fixings and corn & black bean salsa that came with the Crab Cake. After finishing the Crab Cake, I used the spicy sauce that came with it on the salad as a dressing. Delicious! The service was courteous and efficient. The dishes arrived quickly, but not too fast and at just the right temperature. This place is just right for a lunch hour. Mulligan's is one of the best pubs in Midtown East.

We tried this genuine Irish pub because it was close to our hotel; what a gem! The food was superb pub food, the drinks very reasonably priced for the area, and my husband loved watching sport on the several televisions. Overall a fun experience and we would definitely come back.

We were really looking forward to going back to Mulligans because we had such a good time last time we visited. However this time around we weren't met with friendly chat, decent food at a decent price. This time it was expensive and dull! The staff didn't bother to talk to us about our trip and the food was below average.

Typical Irish pub in the heart of Manhattan. Everything was fine from the service to the food. TV's all around. Great for lunch. Can be a bit loud so if yore trying to have a meeting this may not work out. Otherwise pop in!

We happened to be staying around the corner at the Pestana Park Avenue hotel and this became our regular spot for a quick drink. Decent Guinness, pretty good cocktails, friendly service. Young crowd, all round a decent local pub if you’re nearby.

We visited here on a Sunday night. it stays open until twelve. The place looked nice and was very clean. We enjoyed our food and drink. Being central this is a good place to visit. However the staff lacked any drive or personality. We wait a long time to order drinks at the bar because the barman was talking to the staff. Food was delivered, but with no real service or chat. A real disappointment as the food was fine. This place is good if you struggle to find a place that is clean and open late. It will fail you if you expect good service.

I stayed at 70 Grand Central hotel which is a cocks stride to Mulligans so it became my bar/eatery most days in my 10 day holiday thru Christmas. A full turkey potatoes veg stuffing main meal like then is what I am looking forward to on this years visit! Great atmosphere and staff and the other customers were friendly to so it made for a great time.

This is a great place to stop in for a beer or two of you are exploring the city! The food looked good although we only had drinks. It was a good time and nice atmosphere, especially during the holiday season!

I just came back from having lunch there today ( 2/6/2013) I left about half hour ago, and I left the place so angry because of the BARTENDER! My husband and I only went in for a bowl of soup each and a drink, and sat at the bar. I don't think I have ever come across a bartender to be so rude and ignorant.(He was tall with fair hair) When we asked for another drink, he ignored us and walk on. 3 times we had to ask, and he grunted at us. We had our soup and asked for the bill. He slapped it down on the counter in front of us. I'm a person who has to leave a tip no matter what, but if I knew what he was going to do next I would never have left one. I left the money on the counter (WITH TIP) and he again smacked his hand down and took it, while another customer was asking for a drink, he shouted at him "I'M BUSY" and walked away. This pub is suppose to be Irish (I,m Irish) and I thought it was awful,. I just seen other people's comment regarding the bartender there, and the owner needs a SERIOUS wake up call to FIRE this person. At the end of the day, we all have a job to do, but do not act like this especially when you are working with the public in a PUBLIC HOUSE. Get it right!

Visiting NY during March this year, had the opportunity of visiting Mulligans pub, (that happened to be within walking distance of our hotel near Grand Central Station) we were welcomed very warmly, treated as regulars and ended up making Mulligans our base from to explore NY city! The food was decent, great selection of beers but the best was the staff, who were very helpful and more than happy to give advice! I believe this place is run by two Irish brothers who were always there to ensure the patrons were well looked after and very hands on with the running of the place. Our last day in NY was on the day Saint Patrick's Day Parade was taking place, we did not realize how big an event this was! our flight being in the evening we decided to have lunch and a few beers at Mulligans before departing for the airport only to find two huge bouncers at the door and hardly any room inside, then came one of the brothers (proprietors?) who escorted us in and made us feel at home. That was the day, one truly felt Irish hospitality at its best!!!!

I loved this pub! The bartender and staff are so friendly. My wife and I went in the first time while we stayed at the Library Hotel and sat at the bar. You would have thought they knew us forever. After a bit, it felt like we had known each other for years. We were joking and laughing with the rest of the patrons. So, when we came back for dinner the night after the next, we already knew our server. She was so awesome. We had the bangers and mash. The sausages were to die for. The veggies were crisp and cooked perfectly. The gravy on the potatoes were very delicious. We are coming back in April 2017 and will be back many times. It's our 'place to go' when staying at the Library Hotel!

Stopped in for a bite before going to the Morgan library and museum which is close by. Such friendly service! Customers enjoying drinks and sports on the tvs. We didn't have drinks just burgers and fries (try the truffle fries with parmesan yumm!). Had the spinach artichoke dip which was a little runny for my taste but still flavorful. Also had chocolate cake for dessert. Very good. Will come back for drinks and also food and definitely friendly service.

Went there for a pint and for dinner before going to Empire State Building, bartender was from the same area as where I live, decent food and the pints of Yuengling went down nicely as well, had 3 different College Football games on as well which is good

We arrived in New York and our hotel room wasn't ready so we went for a walk and found Mulligan had a bite to eat and a drink and it became our go to bar for the remainder of the week. Great service, friendly helpful staff, food was nice and a good atmosphere in there, give it a go if you are passing by

Mulligan's is a consistently good place in midtown to have a relaxed drink, catch up on some sports and have some decent eats. The menu - burgers, salads, club sandwiches, philly steak sandwiches - is what you might expect of a good drinker in midtown. It is laid back, friendly people and close to Bryant Park, Grand Central and a lot of other great places. Been several times the last few years since I like to be around Bryant Park in mid town. Friendly staff and customers. Good for a decent meal late in the evening.

Came with family for dinner. Typical Irish pub, great for hanging out and having a drink. Ordered food and was disappointed. A lot of better places to eat in NYC.

We stopped here as it was close to our hotel, and weren't disappointed. I had the French onion soup($5.50) and my companion the shepherds pie($14.50) which could have easily served 2 people. There are limited tables, but we were seated straight away. The tea lights and dim lighting made viewing the menu a slight problem, but the good quality of the food made up for it.

Mulligans Pub was full of the joys of St.Patrick’s day with a jolly crowd and some good banter and music. Call out for team member Emma - incredible service.

This place used to be great... but with the changing of staff, it all went downhill from there! Mulligans used to be like that show Cheers - you felt like family. After several bartenders and staff gone, the entire atmosphere and ambiance are gone as well. Shame........

Had been wanting to try this pub during a work visit to the city. Came in late for a beer and dinner. The beer was cold...however, I was served and charged for a second without asking. The fish and chis were very average. If I stop in again I will try a burger.

I visited Mulligans Pub in July 2018. This was the time when the Football World Cup was being held in Russia. There were TV screens showing football matches. The pub is quite nice - and the decor gives it a nice feel. I went in to watch a football match - and was obliged to buy a drink and a snack. I ordered the chicken wings. The food arrived about twenty five minutes later. The waitress was cheerful and friendly. The wings were okay. I noted an elderly man running the bar, and thought he could have been a bit more friendly.

We were only on our second visit when the barmaid repeated our drinks order on arrival they really do take bartending seriously in NYC and the atmosphere here is relaxed and comfortable so much so we indulged in an all-day breakfast at the bar

I love Mulligans,, great bartenders Mora and Connor. Great burgers , salads and great drink. Awesome beer selection and fast service. I especially love the Buffalo Tender Chicken over Cesar Salad,,, amazing. Great service and polite friendly staff all around. Bust at lunch and happy hours. For a more peaceful experience go after peak lunch and happy hour times as it does get very busy. Great dinner dishes and Irish specials.

While wondering around Madison Ave. I found this Pub for lunch and was well satisfied with the ambience, service and food. The chicken pot pie is enormous, so bring an appetite for this one. Later in the evening I took my family that just arrived from Ireland. They were not disappointed with a taste of home away from home and the fish and chips, chicken fingers, grilled chicken sandwich were well received by the new immigrants to New York. I had the Buffalo Chicken wings and they were enormous also. 8 large wings and with fries I could not finish the dish. The Guinness and Harp was cold and very welcome because it was a hot humid day. During meal times the place is packed and the noise level is not conducive to conversation, but this lends itself to their success, food and ambience. Go there when in New York. The sandwich prices are a little too steep, but married with a cold Guinness you're looking at $20+ with tip. Therefore, the 2 star rating on value.

In the middle of Manhattan is a great place to have a drink after office hours, fish and chips are classy and good, nice price and good attention

Went here for lunch 24.3.16. What a find!!! Superb food and a homely welcoming friendly atmosphere. Service is brilliant & staff friendly & genuine. Will definitely be back again.

The restaurant was busy but not packed when we went. Service was very poor. Took forever just to place a drink order. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, or more water. Food was mediocre at best, and we all left smelling like a deep fryer. With all the good restaurants in NY, disappointed we wasted a meal here

Spotted on our walk around and popped in to rest our legs and grab a small bite to eat. Nice long bar which was packed but plenty on tables so grabbed on at the back. Barmaid had still spotted us and came over for drinks. Had a couple if starters - chicken wings and nachos. They kindly split up the wings as my mate doesn't like the hot ones and put the guac and sour cream in little pots. Both well nice and well recommend the spicy wings. We had some beers and had a good choice with some Irish beers as well. Well enjoyed and if time would have allowed would have liked to try at night.

This was the most authentic Irish pub we found in NYC. The staff were grand and we had some light bites too which were tasty. Worth a visit. It would be good to hear some Irish music though....

Visited on Friday evening and the place was packed. Got seated immediately & despite the crowd the service was quick, the food was tasty & the beer was good too. Worth a visit.

My wife and I are not savvy NYC tourists. We tend to visit a museum and then walk back to the hotel until we are starving and then look for a restaurant. We stumbled on Mulligan's as many "Santas" were entering and thought, OK looks crowded lets go. We could not have been happier. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (at least by NYC standards), the staff was courteous, efficient and friendly (the Irish accent didn't hurt). We tried the Irish Nachos at the waitress' suggestion and were thrilled. We had a chicken Cesar salad which had as much chicken as lettuce. All in all a great experience.

We spent a lot of time and money in Mulligan's. It was conveniently located only a block from our hotel and since the hockey playoffs were going on, it seemed only natural that we migrated there. The food was pretty good and the drinks flowed freely. That might explain the money part. LOL We had no problem finding a table even during the games. Great service and food.

We went few days ago to eat The waitress jackie welcome us very warmly ! It was for us a very cosy and greed stopover ! 2nd coke glass is offer ! Awesome idea ! Really good restaurant ! Thank you again for these good burgers and for your happiness & very good feeling with guest jackie ! You're on the top !

Don't expect to find a seat after 6pm This local is frequented by people who want a quick drink and bite before going home. I absolutely loved the pub ambience. The wine is all American but you can get imported beers such as Heineken. Fun place to hang out. Close to everything

I met there with business partners after 4 very busy days of work. We had just some relaxing time, drinking a nice cocktail and some of us eating (well). An easy and comfortable place!

We stumbled across this bar as we were wandering around the city on a Sunday afternoon. There was a warm welcome as we arrived, enough so that we stayed for a good few hours. We enjoyed a few beers and some Irish nachos. An afternoon well spent.

If you're in this area, then this a good pub to go to. It is away from the crowded areas. But it does get crowded with locals. I went on a Friday around 5:30p and the bar was already taken. I've asked the waitress if we can take the high tops tables and she was ok with it. Surprisingly to me since high tables are high demand in Times Square and for patrons ordering food. We eventually ordered food but it two 3 rounds. Not a lot of food as other places but it tasted good.

No warm Irish welcome here! The Irish barman couldn’t have been more rude and unwelcoming. The food however was good, but you’ll find good food in other pubs with much friendlier and professional staff in the city.

We visited this bar after dropping our bags after an exhausting days travel. Service was attentive and fast. The burgers were moist and tasty. Couldn't have asked for a reasonably priced and filling dinner. Happy hour between 4-8pm. Would return

A group of nine of us stopped in for something to eat. We were seated quickly and offered drinks just as quick. The service was very polite with a solid Irish accent. The food was very good with generous portions. The beer was always cold and kept coming. The prices were fair. The place is classic and welcoming. I loved this place.

My wife, my daughter and I had dinner here this evening. What a wonderful surprise! Just a couple of blocks away from Grand Central. It atmosphere was pleasant and we were immediately greeted by the friendly bartender and waitress. The fish and chips, burger, and potato skins were superb. The waitress was exceptionally good. Made some recommendations when we asked, kept our drinks full, and was very attentive. And, to top it off, the bill was reasonable. I highly recommend.

Great staff, great service and good value for money food. Could find something for all tastes and the portions were a good size. recommend the pulled pork sandwiches washed down with a cold beer

We went to this pub twice on a recent visit to New York City. The first time we were just walking back to our hotel looking for somewhere to have dinner and a drink. There is a long bar area to sit at and also a dining area towards the back of the pub. A relaxed atmosphere with great service and we loved the food. We had some share plates - buffalo wings, beef and pork sliders and chicken quesadillas!!!!! A definite winner. Have to say we went back another night to have the chicken quesadillas again!! Yum 😋 This place is a nice break from the hustle and bustle outside! The staff have Irish accents so it adds to the authentic atmosphere. Put this on your list for sure

Mulligan's is a nice Irish themed pub with good food and atmosphere. There are quite a few beers on tab but Guinness is the fav. Good selection of food and appetizers. Plenty of TV's to catch a game and quite a few seats along the very long bar or at tables. Friendly servers. You will hear quite a few Irish accents and many of the patrons appear to be regulars. Definitely worth a stop is you are in the area.

This is a nice pub with a long bar and lots of beer choices. The food was good, and I'd definitely get the chicken wings again. Food comes out fast, so if you wanna have a drink or two, hold off on ordering right away. This is located a convenient four or five minute walk to Grand Central Station.

Fantastic pub, very welcoming, friendly staff home from home, great banter. Lovely food too. Had a great christmas here.

Since this was next to our hotel we visited ... a few times. Super friendly staff. Solid mixing skills. At all hours. Nice comfortable room. What more do you need in a bar?

We went here a couple of times for dinner during our trip. The staff are lovely, the food was really tasty and the atmosphere was great. We were welcomed in by an Irish bartender, great guy, full of information and loads of laugh. The first night we ate here, there was just three of us and all we really wanted to have was a snack, so he suggested that we get the Platter and the Nachos to share, and boy was he right !! The food was wonderful and there was more than enough for the three of us in these two starters. We even managed to leave some, so that will tell you the amount you get. When we returned two days later he suggested I get the salmon, it was delicious, as was everything else we ate there ! I have to say I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone looking to get good food, great service and a really relaxing night, with plenty of laughs and atmosphere.

You are always greeted with a GENUINE hello full of Irish charm. The burgers are amazing always ask for a side of their home made potato salad. YUM! Don't forget to have their wonderful Irish coffee. Great place for brunch on the weekends. GREAT friends you have not met yet. Enjoy!

Spent 4 nights in New York and found this Irish pub on the second night. We ate there each night for the remainder of our stay. Their pulled pork sambo was devine. Staff were all so friendly. Good selection of beers and always had sport on the TV.

Coner, the bartender, was one of the highlights of our visit! Great guy and good place to watch college football on a Saturday in Murray Hill!

It's an American bar with an Irish name a few extra menu items and a few Irish beers on tap. Service was standard for New York, nothing memorable. My main meal was served whilst I was still eating my starter - never a good sign. I had the chicken wings and a burger which were very standard. It's got some great screens for watching sport and always has a crowd. Good place for a few beers whilst watching the game.

My wife and I saw this pub walking back to our hotel after dinner and a Broadway show and decided to stop in for a drink . This pub was almost full a game was on the television and the crowd was into it. We found a open small table and the waitress came over right away and our drinks arrived soon. We enjoyed the crowd, the atmosphere and were treated to good service.

Waiting for our room to be ready at the 70 Park Avenue Hotel and stopped by for lunch. Guiness and the Bangers and mash were very good, but the chicken fingers were very dry. Crowded with regulars. Would go again..

We're here last weekend for the first time in 20 years. It's very conveniently located to Grand Central and it was his been 20 years ago that I stopped in place look just the same as I recalled it was clean staff was friendly and I enjoyed myself will definitely come back and will wait 20 years to do so

Very Nice pub with Irish atmosophere, We had the platter with different dipping. The food was great, the beer was excelent, (tried out some of them😎) The service was very good with a smiling sweet girl!

Excellent pub. Super friendly atmosphere. Great service and food. We popped in to get out of the rain and loved this pub. It became “our place” in NYC. The had a good variety of beer and cocktails. They make a great margarita! We also had the Shepherds Pie Potato Skins and they were delicious! If we are ever back in NYC will definitely go back to Mulligans.

We happen to be visiting Grand Central and passed this place. My husband decided he wanted a pint. I roll my eyes but go with it. As soon as we walked in I just loved the smell. A typical Irish bar. We sat and had drinks at the bar then decided to get table and have food. Prices are really fair for this part of NY. Portion sizes are fantastic and service was excellent. I rarely do reviews for bars / pubs however I saw you proudly displayed yours on the door as we walked in. This not only made me feel at ease knowing what we were walking into was ‘very good’ but also made me think how I must review you when at home to keep your ratings going as they are very much deserved. Thank you for having us and we shall be sure to swing by again should we be back in the city.

Only found this place the day before we came home. A pity the best Guiness i tasted in NYC. A proper pub wouldnt be out of place in any town in Ireland.

Would NOT recommend this place. Strong urine smell inside the restaurant. Service was slow. And the food was pricey and bland. Took forever for the waiter to come back with the cheque we ended up having to go to the bar to pay.

As a cider drinker it was good to find a pub with draft cider free wifi . Ate here twice while here. Food typical of pub food. Happy hour does not include cider :-(

Love this place for a nice quick lunch. I work near by and have come here on many occasions. My favorite is the London Broil sandwich and the wraps are very good also. Prices are reasonable and plenty of place to sit. Would also recommend to tourists looking for a nice meal in a clean establishment.

I am told it means literally ‘a hundred thousand welcomes’ and is common greeting in Ireland. And I believe it: that's how they make you feel in this place on 3rd Ave & 39th. I stop there after a long day for drinks and make friends immediately at the bar. Service is cheerful and friendly, drinks are good size and prices reasonable. Cheers! **

Just up the ave from Morgans hotel, good beer selection, excellent service from friendly staff, menu standard pub stuff, overall nice place

Fantastic bar in midtown. Great spot to watch sports but the best thing is the friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Mulligan's has definately maintained it's neighborhood status! At first, the location kinda threw me off, then, I went in, and had an amazing Sunday! The food was delicious, the drinks and atmosphere were genuine tavern, the service, ( Aaron), was perfect! It's perfect for locals and tourists, alike! ENJOY!

Lovely little Irish bar, super friendly staff and a good pint. Didn't eat here but the food looked good.

The food and beverages here were good fare, with a detailed menu and standard pub decor. The wait staff were friendly. The buffalo wings were good.

The bartenders are, to a person, friendly and attentive. They will keep you well hydrated. As noted elsewhere in these reviews the Guinness is fresh and the “right” temperature. Tourists that we are, we stop here on the way back to our hotel. Highly recommended for its wam friendly atmosphere.

As we stayed just around the corner we went to this bar most days. The staff were always friendly, chatty & gave good measures! Chips, cheescake and fine wine. Thanks to all the staff who made us welcome.

Great bar to watch the football. Nice atmosphere and barman was very helpful and friendly. Great fried chicken wings. Definitely worth a visit!

This pub turned into our local as it was just round the corner from our hotel. It offers a good selection of drinks and the food menu is good too. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was never too busy when we went, but lively non the less.

Very close to our hotel and very friendly good old Irish Pub. Very good selection of beers on tap and sports channels on the TV's. Also serve food but we didn't have time.

After a good experience with Irish pubs in Times Square decided to try this one, especially since its location was close to our hotel. Entering inside , I felt a sharp pungent odor. However, many people did not give me the opportunity to question and get out of this pub. The waitress is not responding to guests. The food (we ordered buffalo WINGS) was just awful. Keep away from this pub.

Went to New York with my sister and found this pub round the corner from out hotel was bit nervous going in but from the moment we entered Aaron the bar tender made us feel very welcome lots of locals in but not made to feel uncomfortable or out if place Aaron was extremely friendly and welcoming had a great laugh atmosphere very friendly will definitely be going in again next time in New York

This is one of those NYC pubs trying to be Irish, and it foes it well. Friendly staff, good pub grub, and service with a smile. Also opens late.

We spotted Mulligan's a few days ago and headed to dinner tonight after a very long day. We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked into this quaint Irish Pub. It was so friendly and comfortable. We could have sat in there all night, and I think they wouldn't have minded. We didn't feel rushed at all and really enjoyed the mood of the room. It was tastefully decorated for Christmas and had a charming old cash register over at the bar. The food was wonderful, service was quick and with a smile. Highly recommend as something a little different but still providing wholesome yummy food!

I always fly in late from the West Coast and end up staying in midtown. My friends and I head over to Mulligan's for a late night dinner and a drink. Food is fast and delicious and everyone is very friendly. I usually order something simple like a burger or a salad. Definitely recommend if you are in midtown and looking for something simple and fun.

We stopped in here for a couple of drinks on the way back to our hotel after seeing a broadway play and visiting Times Square. Lots of TVs to watch games on. Thursday night football may have been the attraction that night. Good service even though the place was fairly full

This is a great place for an early dinner. The prices are good and the servers are friendly. It's a sports pub with well-placed TVs so you can see the game from wherever you are. We appreciated being able to choose our own table and being treated like regulars, not tourists. Went there twice on our trip last weekend and will be going back on our next trip.

my office is nearby so it happened often that i had lunch or had a beer after office at Mulligan's. very nice bar, dishes well prepared, reasonable priced.

We loved Mulligans! A warm and friendly welcome whenever we went in. Our hotel, the William was just round the corner on 39th so Mulligans was perfect for a nightcap but we also enjoyed a delicious Irish breakfast too. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Had dinner here one night during our New York trip. Staff where friendly and portion sizes were good.

Mulligans has a good atmosphere. It was packed on a Thursday evening. The menu has a good selection. I had the chicken pasta, which was good, but the chicken fairly tough. The salad was large and good. The food came out quickly. The beer selection is just OK, but had a local IPA that was not bad. The service was very good, very efficient. Stephanie was particularly good, and may be the best waitress I have encountered in NYC.

We always make a point of going to Irish pubs when abroad. We called in at Mulligans for a late lunch and a couple of pints which were very enjoyable. Staff were great and the atmosphere good. Didn't get a chance to call in the evening but got the feeling it would be a very friendly pub.

Nice little Irish pub. Dark and dingy, just how I like it! Nice atmosphere and friendly service. We stopped into Mullligans after travelling all day for a quick, easy meal. I had the burger, it was nice but I could have done with a few more chips (fries). My girlfriend has the home-made lasagne and she absolutely loved it. I had a taste of hers and it did seem like meat sauce has been cooked for a long time, low and slow with lots of flavour. Overall, a nice, friendly pub, pop in.

Years going to this pub with good Irish food and a convivial atmosphere. The menu has changed a bit over the years, and it is ordinary food, but tasty. The London broil is good. Salads are large, as well.

We went every night we were in NYC for drinks and a couple of times for food. The service was great the food was great the atmosphere is also nice. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed the evenings.

The food is Irish; the beer is Irish; even the staff are Irish. We tried this for a late night pub meal and were not disappointed. My wife had the shepherd's pie which, while a bit unconventional for such a dish, was certainly memorable. My bangers and mash was equally good, with the pork sausages cooked well on the grill, giving them a BBQ-like taste. It had a good range of beers, wine and cocktails and we wished we had time to try this once more. Only disappointment was being unable to watch the US women's team FIFA World Cup game on the various TVs as our server had no idea that the tournament was even on. Would have thought the Irish were a bit more aligned with "football" than the golf they were showing - although Rory McIlroy may have influenced their choice of viewing. Would certainly recommend trying this pub.

We stumbled upon this bar whilst in a haze from our hotel. The Irish bar seemed nice from the outside. Inside was really busy for a Monday night. We sat at an empty table at the back and had a long wait for the waitress to serve us. The food was average.

Poped in for a few drinks on a rainy Saturday afternoon and stayed on till evening. Fish and chips are excellent and our waitress from Donegal was really lovely - great service all afternoon - thank you. Went back on the Sunday afternoon staff not as attentive but food was good

First, I NEVER write reviews Premierement, je ne laisse JAMAIS de commentaires You gotta know I'm legally blind and travelling alone. Hotel didn't answer the phone when i was ready to come back, well, bartender without asking, offered me to walk me to my hotel, two blocks down! Great food & beers, I loved watching the hockey games there. Crowded, a must!!

Had a few hours to kill before my flight at JFK, so went here and had a few beers. Ordered some fries, not the best but decent. Overall nice place to hang out.

I was greeted by one of the friendliest bartenders I’ve seen in years, especially in midtown nyc. . Sean was as genuine as they come. Emma our waitress was the same. There’s no hiding real positive vibes. I didn’t meet the other staff members but they all were pleasant and efficient. I was very impressed.

Fantastic bar, great service and the food put a final touch to a grew evening. For a second one can nearly forget that he/she is New York and closer to Dublin. Great location even for only a pint!

Great location. Close to Bryant Park. Good beer selection. Don't get the French Onion soup. I love french onion soup. We have an intimate relationship. Broth tasted too sweet. Just go with beer.

visited for lunch... nice retreat from the bustle of the city... good and well proced food... good range of beers... and lovely staff . Also nice option to wtach some sport including football (of the round ball type!)

Great food great atmosphere- busy little pub with a friendly atmosphere. Had drinks and snacks - all good

Went in for a quick drink, ended up spending a good while there and having food. Lush, and well worth the find

Hand written sign said Kitchen close indefinitely, not happy. Was around the comer from hotel on 44th

Located only 7 minutes from Grand Central, Mulligan's Pub is well worth the trip. The food is delicious and portions are generous. The staff is very cordial and of Irish decent. We have been to Mulligan's pub many times and it still is the first stop for us before we head out to the rest of Manhattan.

Very nice irish pub y midtown Manhattan. Excellent atmosphere and nice drinks. Good prices. Can’t recommend the food cause we only had drinks

I went to NYC on a whim and had the best time. My favorite bar for two of the three nights in town was Mulligan's. The atmosphere, service and the sweet couple from the UK were so sweet. I had the best time just talking. We had fun watching the Superbowl and sharing drinks and conversation. The chili was delicious, I had it both nights. The nice couple I talked to for a while introduced me to a shot called the Baby Guinness. It was so delicious we shared another. I can't to order this shot at my favorite bar. They were so much fun!! I hope they enjoyed NYC. Shout out to the nice bartender who kept my Amstel Light beers coming. Great bar. Can't wait to return. Liz

We initially called into Mulligans to try out the Guiness one afternoon while we were in New York on a weeks holiday - and we weren't disappointed either - a very good pint and having a little Irish in me, that went down a treat. We later returned with 5 of our friends who we were on holiday with and had an evening meal - very good indeed. The pub was a little noisy in the evening, but not that that bothered us at all, after all it is a sports bar - the atmosphere was cracking as was the lovely food - we all chose varied dishes and would have no hesitation in recommending Mulligans to any fellow travellers to New York - a great place with excellent staff - well done Mulligans.

The Yankees lost 11-0, but the food & drink more than made up for the gloom of the sports fans. I enjoyed a Cobb salad with beer & everything was satisfying.

Great find in the centre of NY. Piping hot meal and really tasty. Staff were helpful and polite [ especially the girl from ROI who had only started working there, a real asset ] Spotless lively pub, with good food and staff. Highly Recommended.

We walked by this place conveniately located on Madison. Took a chance and went in for some dinner. Great burger, just the way it's supposed to be at a pub. Greasy & good ? Good value for your money as well.

Family run Irish Pub with noise levels requiring ear protection! Perhaps a few curtains or drapes may absorb some of the noise? Food was well presented and tasty. not too expensive either.

We visited Mulligans Bar twice in our Christmas visit to NYC. As Liverpool fans the pub was right up our street with excellent service, a good vibe and a great atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice pub not far from 5th Ave visit Mulligans. We plan to visit NYC in 2026 and Mulligans will be on the list for a revisit. Phil & Tracey

Visited twice in 2 days the staff very tentative and always on had to take orders. The beer was very reasonable priced, the only down side being a Man U supporter there was lots of Liverpool memorabilia lol but I coped

Went in here on our first night in NY and was greeted with the aroma of Irish cooking. We ordered a couple of drinks and placed our food order. We didn't have to wait long. The food was delicious. Would recommend eating in here but would go early to avoid the crowds

The wife and I ate at two pubs while in NYC last weekend; Mulligan’s had the best staff of the two and was always crowded. Pros: Friendly staff, good appetizers and good atmosphere. Cons: Ok burger. Would we go again definitely yes, for a pint and the appetizers but would have dinner somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I popped into Mulligans for a drink and bite to eat after landing in New York quite late. The food and beer were just what was needed after a long day travelling. We ended up going back here a further 3 times on our holiday we enjoyed it so much. The staff were so friendly and helpful it almost felt like we were pals by the the end of the trip - in particular Sean and Geri. The atmosphere in Mulligans was fantastic even on the quieter days. It had such a good vibe we made friends with a few of the other patrons which is very unlike myself and my boyfriend! We got engaged whilst in New York and felt we had to pop into Mulligans and Geri couldn't be happier for us giving us both big hugs! If you fancy a pub in New York which is like the ones you see on TV I'd highly recommend this place. Another plus for any sports fans are the million telly's in there on which you can watch about 4 different sports at any given time. Just a note this maybe only the second time I've ever left a review.

Went in for food and coffee..have to say the 'gent' wasnt the friendliest person asked us to move to the end of the bar as they got busy.....it was quiet.we didnt stay for food and doubtless to say will not visit there again.lot better places to go than this.

I expected a little bit more. Just a regular bar, with underwhelming food... and at $62 (inc tip) for two drinks and two burgers (nothing special) I expected a little more maybe..... wasn’t horrible, just wasn’t great either.

The bar man Jimmy is fantastic!! His charisma kept us there. He was a great addition to our trip to New York. Definitely coming back again for the welcoming environment.

Ignorant female waitress got rude with us and went off talking to her colleagues afterwards, felt like we were being laughed at during the entire meal. The meal itself wasn't nice at all (my partners was ok) but I had soggy battered fish where it must have been an old reheated piece and black chips that seem to have been cooked in burnt oil. Won't be back, don't recommend it, don't go!!

We found Mulligan's off the beaten path on a Saturday afternoon the week before Christmas. Midtown was packed with tourists; Mulligan's offered a nice (relatively) quiet place to sit and enjoy some good pub food and a draft beer. We ordered the usual suspects: burger and fries, chicken fingers, and a veggie wrap. Everyone was happy with their meal and we enjoyed our break from the crowds.

Found the bar by accident the previous day. As a Liverpool supporter from Liverpool, I was looking for a place to watch the game the next day! Brilliant atmosphere, great staff and a great result! Well done lads, see you again!

We were bar hopping while in NYC and this is one of the places we stopped at to have a couple of beers. We went at a time that it was t too busy. We still had a good time people watching. They offer food but we only had drinks. Service was fast. A fun place to hangout.

I worked in NY many years ago, our office was on Madison Avenue, so Mulligans was our spot for lunch & after work drinks. I was just back in NY on holiday & dropped into Mulligans Saturday afternoon for a trip down Memory Lane. I pulled up a chair at the bar. The barman/bartender Aaron had a genuine Irish welcome & this was especially pleasant as I was on my own. He was chatty & professionally efficient in equal measure. Likewise the waitress Anna was very friendly. I had a few drinks at the bar & it was an excellent afternoon. I didn't have food as I had already eaten. If I am ever back in NY, I plan to revisit Mulligans.

Visited here on our first night in NYC. We had the Harp lager and Magners cider along with the wings, potato skins and the chicken burger. All were OK. The pub is busy which gives it a nice buzz. Worth a look if you are in the Neighbourhood.

After a long chilly day, Mulligan's was just right for us--in a neighborhood near our hotel, ample pub menu, tasty food, good service, warm ambience and affordable prices. My shepherd's pie was perfect for a cold night, and my wife's quesadilla equally good. Mulligan's Pub--a new old friend. I suspect we'll return.

We stayed about 5 minutes walk from here and it was a very handy place to chill out after heavy duty queuing and sightseeing. They have a Happy Hour early evening, which is also worth knowing with a draft beer being $4, wine $6 which was a lot cheaper than other places. Ate in here twice as well. Nothing remarkable, but reasonable 'pub grub' kind of fare. With a couple of drinks, worked out on a par with London (although in NY you have to stick the tip on!).

We had a drink in Mulligan’s and it was average. Far better Irish bars available in midtown New York

Walked past on first night in NYC and popped in for a quick drink. Found the bar to be buzzing with locals and tourists. We instantly felt welcome and like a local extremely friendly bar staff especially Connor. Always polite friendly and never left you with an empty glass. We tried plenty of other bars during our stay but returned every night to Mulligans. Food is cheap and cheerful washed down with good beer at a good price. If you are in mid-Manhattan drop in you won't be disappointed.
Great friendly Irish bar
We found this to be our 'go to' bar at the end of our busy days. It was close to the hotel (staying of Lex and 39th) but it was one of the friendlier bars we visited. Staff were great, friendly and attentive, but not in an overbearing way. Had food one night which was good.
