We were celebrating my husband’s birthday in NYC and came across this restaurant by chance. I was looking for an Indian restaurant close to our hotel, and this place was right around the corner. From the outside, the establishment is a bit of a hole in the wall However, the interior is cozy and well decorated The food was fabulous, and the service was outstanding

The lunch buffet here was good and was reasonably priced. However, no particular dish really stood out and we probably won't be back as there is plenty of local competition.

A sweet simple restaurant with a very good staff and service. Two of us were ordering our food. The young waiter, politely told us that it may be too much for two of us. Which was true. I admired his sweet advice. The manager was also very warm.

Good food, good service, not crowded. They serve Indian and Himalayan/Nepalese cuisine, wine and beer. Very decent pricing.

Rather intimate place and you enter a country and another culture. They welcome you with kindness and bring you water immediately. We chose the dishes in the photos, we liked the lamb korma to accompany the classic Naan bread and the steamed vegetable momos ravioli. We had 3 Taj Mahal beers which is a good lager. Cost 92 dollars total. By a Milanese milanist

Very good Indian, good comfort and Indian cuisine in the state of the art. We enjoyed it; To note the bartender made us a real mahnattan (with the cherry...) and the choice of friendly Indian beer. 2 steps from Grand Central

Great food, with a kick we went there for a family dinner. The food was great. The potions are large and satisfying. The Nancy bread is so fresh, it doesn't need a dip. Will go again

What a find! We were looking for a change from burgers and steaks for our evening meal and were hoping for a nice pizzeria or Italian restaurant. Curry was always going to be a contender so when we saw Muna's good reviews and that it was a block away, it was a no brainer. The food was delicious with excellent friendly yet ultra-professional service and on a Tuesday night the restaurant had just the right atmosphere of being quiet and intimate but busy with people enjoying their food. As Indian food lovers from the UK we weren't sure what the US take would be but the Nepalese owners served up one of the best Indian-style meals we'd ever tasted!

We had had an excellent meal on opening day. The staff was very attentive and helpful in answering our questions. They gave us rice pudding to try and it was very good! The lamb vindaloo was absolutely delicious if you like spicy things! We will definitely go back. It’s cozy intimate setting is inviting.

The food was great and portion was quite large Service very friendly An excellent place if you are foody and appreciate good quality Finally, I think it's an excellent valet for money

I reviewed Sathi which is the sister restaurant of Muna and I was impressed with the food and service although it was a small, crowded space. Muna is a lot bigger and the food is equally good and the service in excellent. We'll definitely be going back.

Muna lures you with a great location, excellent service, warm staff members and delicious food. Good option for an Indian meal in the area.

The food was good; vegetable samosa & lamb saag with a garlic nan. The service was good. The atmosphere was good, excluding the two sisters on the table next to me; one passive aggressive the other aggressive aggressive passive, both trying to tell each other what was wrong with the other and then saying 'but I'm not blaming you' .... aaaaarrrrrrgggggg (None of which was the restaurants fault). I felt the food was nothing special ! and when I returned home I checked the bill and realized they had charged me for 3 separate items instead of the daily special where those same 3 items would have resulted in a total $4 less :O

Being away from home, I was craving Indian food but could not dine in due to my tight schedule. MUNA’s takeout and delivery service proved to be a lifesaver at that time. The ordering process was simple, and the food that arrived was also on time and piping hot.

Great presentation, fantastic amount of ingredients and flavor. The chicken saag was some of the best I’ve had ever. It both looked and tasted. I ordered “madras hot” and it definitely had heat!
Good but not exceptional
Nice place. Looks nothing special on the outside but huge on the inside. Food was good, we had the curry mostly. Service was polite. Wine was generous. No real negatives
