Great for events

By Brad P |

Excellent food and fun atmosphere. We used them for an event we held and they couldn't have been nicer or easier to work with. Definitely recommended.

Lively place, great food!

By Debbie B |

Went here for a quick dinner & drinks before the Eagles concert at MSG. Though our party of 3 did not have a reservation, we were quickly seated & served. My Cobb salad was delicious! My friends also enjoyed their food & drinks. For dinner & drinks before a game or concert at Madison Square Garden Mustang Harry's is perfect! Especially since it is on the next block. Courteous & fast service! I would suggest reservations though since it seems a popular place!

Great service

Met friends in the city for dinner. Great restaurant. Place was hopping but service was excellent. Had the brisket sandwich. Very tasty others had snapper, salt brick chicken and Harry's burger. Everyone was pleased with meal.

Great happy hour

They have a good selection of beers on tap and the flatbread with cheese and spinach was great. The hostess was one of the friendliest I’ve seen in NYC.

Perfect for dinner before Maddison Square Gardens

By Dame2007 |

We dined here before watching a concert at Maddison Square Gardens; the place was very busy and the staff were evidently struggling. The menu is basic but the food was good (I had the fish & chips) Worth a visit

Very nice atmosphere

We didnt need reservations . It was a Sunday night. There was a very nice menu selection. The bar pretzel can be enjoyed by 4 people. Bloody Mary's are tasty. Burger, Wraps and Brussel sprouts were real tasty. The servers were friendly. It is a short walk from The Stewart Hotel

Best chicken ever, really.

By wanderinwonder2016 |

We stopped here due to it's proximity to Madison Square Garden. I wasn't expecting it to be great, but the salt brick chicken was the best chicken I have ever eaten. If you are going here, that is the thing to get.

Fabulous food great welcome!

With two hours to spare we headed out of Penn Station and found Harry’s. It’s just a couple of blocks from Madison Square Gardens exit. Mac cheese to die for and a great welcome by Harry (Niall). Our first visit here but next time in NY we’ll go again. Thanks Niall for the Scottish/Irish chat.

Great bar and good food

By steadyhand98 |

Ate here for lunch on a Sunday while waiting for bus back to DC area. Had the mixed greens salad with salmon and my wife had the turkey wrap. Both were great . nice selection of draft beer and also have a full bar. Large bar area and friendly staff. Highly recommend

Great for a beer and an honest plate of food.

By ForsakenCritic |

A relaxed place to grab a beer, watch a game and eat a bite. The wings and burger were both excellent as well as the Moscow Mules (highly recommended). Great for a business visitor to NYC who wants to relax at the bar at the end of a long day. Great service too.

noisy sports bar with good food

By Friskin |

We 4 adults choice this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. We got one af the booths close to the bar. It was dark and noisy and difficult to talk to each other but it’s what you can expect eating in a sports bar. The service was super and the food and drinks the the same. If you like football the place to be. The 4 from Denmark

Recently visited NYC and went for meal to Harrys

Grilled Tuna BLT!!!

By Culture668024 |

We stumbled across this bar/restaurant as it was close to our hotel (it's a couple of blocks from Madison Square Gardens). The grilled Tuna BLT was amazing, the atmosphere was great and I cannot fault the service. Well worth a visit!

I expected more from this place

By Josef O |

We had a Reservation, our table was ready when we arrived, but it is very, very loud there. The noise is horrible, you can´t really talk to each other. Food was ok, but not special. Prices average for NY.

Pre-show dinner

By Jim K |

Very convenient from Penn Station/MSG. I had the Rueben special and my wife a chicken sandwich; both were excellent. Drinks were fine, service great. Moderate $$ for NYC and when in the city I do not mind the expense as long as the food, service and restaurant are good. Half a block down 7th Ave. Get a reservation and ask for the back room. Recommended.

Great location, great food and superb service

Loved the vibe on a college football Saturday. Drinks were flowing, food was excellent. Pregamed here for the Billy Joel Concert at MSG. Highly recommend the hot pretzel.

SLOPPY BRISQUET !!!

By Rudy H |

All I can say is that I had the best beef brisquet sandwich in the Sloppy Brisquet Sandwich. The waitress recommended Parmesian Fries; which made it even better. Add a Brooklyn Lager and it was heaven. Great place, just two blocks from Madison Square Garden. We were there to see Eric Clapton. They were playing Clapton as we ate. The décor was great.

good food but even better service

By barrydavis2016 |

recently visited this bar and the food is very good and we were extremely looked after by our waitress

Great food, great atmosphere

By Keith F |

Mustang Harry’s is a large bar restaurant offering great food in fabulous surroundings - this is a bar/restaurant in the true American style. Service is welcoming and efficient. I had their short rib and it was cooked to perfection. If you are in New York and bear 7th Avenue Mustang Harry’s is not to be missed!

Beef stroganoff

By Ron M |

One of the very best beef stroganoff sauce I have ever had my wife and I both enjoyed it immensely. Would have easily given this restaurant bar a five star rating if not for the extremely poor and slow service. My wife and I shared the stroganoff and she had a salad which I think may have irritated the waitress. Because we sure did not get the service that way We expected. Hopefully that type of service is not the norm because the food Deserves better.

Tasteless food medium atmosphere

By grsmit |

When we walked by and looked into the windows of the restaurant from the streets it all looked really nice and cozy. Yes nice inside we where placed all at the back of the restaurant (together with all my three tourists I believe) where the atmosphere was clearly less. We ordered Harry’s burger and fish and chips. The burger was oke but tasteless. The fish and chips however was horrible. What can go wrong with just a simple dish like fish and chips? Well somehow this fish tasted like cardboard. A bummer!

Great place

Warm welcome on a cold day. Lots of choices of food and drink. All tasty. Great atmosphere. Sports on tv screens.

Fun lunch while in NYC

By Peggy675 |

Stopped in here for lunch while Christmas shopping. Beautiful Christmas tree and decorations, staff friendly and attentive. Food was fabulous! We had the guacamole & chips along with the beer pretzel for appetizers. For entrees we had a variety, lobster Mac & cheese, flat bread pizza, burgers and the fish & chips tasted just like in Ireland or the UK. Definitely will be back on my next trip.

Loud n Lively

By Casper9233 |

Stopped here before heading off to MSG to watch the Knicks. We were late for our reservation but the staff still held the table. Very loud and busy but loved it. Great music, great food and great service. Usual NY prices but did the job. Food was fantastic. I had the brisket which was delicious, others had burgers and can say that my party enjoyed our tine here. Great lively sports bar!

above average pub fare close to the "garden"

By Hoagggie |

Ate here twice in the past 2 years..... apps and burgers always hot. Nice stop close walk to the "garden" always get you in and out quick. on top of local shows and concerts by playing show artists music...nice touch. 10+ beers on tap and bottles. Apps good try the fries. A bit loud but not too bad...

Great Bar Food

By GM1Galway |

Ate here as a group of 5. Prices were reasonable at circa 140 dollars for 4 mains, 4 beers, minerals + a kids menu. The swordfish special was really good as was the mustang burger and brisket - in fact everything hit the spot. Service was v friendly and the Irish owner was on hand to chat to everyone. All in all well worth a visit if you are in the area. Its just up the road from MSG and the Stewart Hotel.

Amazing Food and Even Better Service

By MegtheHealer |

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server who was very attentive and very funny. I ordered the salmon with lentils, butternut squash, and cooked spinach. It was delicious! My husband ordered black striped bass with creamy potatoes and cooked spinach. He loved every bite! We were there after the lunch rush, so the restaurant was very quiet. Highly recommend!

Excellent

By PhilippaKatex |

Spotted this place whilst walking down the street so decided to give it a go. Server was very polite (Sharron), food was excellent, atmosphere was perfect. Would definitely go again if in the area.

Good food.

By 511erinb |

Visited because it was close to our hotel and menu seemed good. Even though it was busy and right before a Rangers game, we got seated right away without a reservation. Very loud and close to another table, but I was so hungry it didn’t matter. If you don’t want to have to yell to talk, it might not be your best bet. The food was delicious; I got the salt block chicken. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. If you don’t mind the noise, it’s definitely a good place to stop and get grab a good bite to eat.

Really enjoyable

By mark d |

Myself and the wife had a meal here last Saturday night and it was excellent, by far the best meal we had in the week we were in NY. NY Rangers were playing at MSG that night so the place was hoping and the bar was packed. Staff were extremely friendly especially the lads behind the bar. Will be returning again on our next trip to New York.

Behind Enemy Lines for Ravens fans

By bhlraven1916 |

Great atmosphere to watch the Ravens. Great food and the service is impeccable. Been in New York for 4years and this is the best sports bar. If you want to cheer on your beloved Ravens then this is a must spot.

This is really 3.5 not 4.0 ...

By andrewmcfarlane |

Food was ok, service was ok, bill seemed a bit heavy for what we had ... so it was ok ... which is ok so long as you are not that concerned whether people come back.

Amazing!

By Jarrett T |

I would highly reccomend stoping here while you are in the city. The food was absolutly incredible and the service was spot on. Our waitress Olwyn, was amazing! She gave us fantastic service with a smile. The food came out quickly and was perfectly made! The vibe of the actual restaurant was very laid back but still maintained a high class dining experience. The pricing was extremely fair as far as New York food is concerned. I got a burger and margarita and my bill came to about 30 dollars! The burger was AMAZING! I would HIGHLY reccomend this place to anyone!

Great way to end our trip

By Tom N |

Me and my pregnant wife visited this bar/restaurant this evening and it was simply perfect. Staff very friendly (unlike some places in new York ) and also attentive throughout our meal, and at the end of the meal we left a 10 dollar tip, the waitress come back and even said thank you . I say no more. The food is typical New York style food burgers and believe me it’s large portions and very tasty. Good price also :). Anyone after a quick fix after a long day come here . If I come to New York again I’ll go here. Thanks mustang Harry’s

Very convenient place to dine prior to a show at MSG

By john b |

Good food and VERY convenient place to dine prior to a show at Madison Square Garden. And they take reservations, so all in all its a win! Also, a good meeting place if you are meeting people travelling in from Penn Station.

Stopped here with a group on a tour bus. The food was EXCELLENT as well as the service. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals and service.

Good find!

By LongIslandGirl |

My husband and I were going to a concert at the garden and stumbled upon this place. It looks clean, lively, and had a good vibe, we decided to give it a try. The place is huge, two levels. There is a large bar and lots of tables. I ordered a lemon drop martini and it was right on the money. For dinner I had a chicken sandwich which was delicious! It had pesto sauce, mozzarella and a roasted pepper. I ordered the sweet potato fries which were delicious, but my husband ordered the regular fries, Parmesan . They too were delicious. He ordered the fillet sandwich which was good, but mine was much better! The owner came over to make sure all was good which was a nice touch, clean bathrooms too. Would definitely go back.

Before Billy Joel Concert!

By Ursula D |

We stopped by randomly before a concert at the Garden and it was busy! The manager was nice and he brought me a chair to sit at the bar as we wanted to eat. Female blond bartender (sorry forgot her name) was friendly and fast! Food was way better than expected! Highly recommend this spot! Clean and staff was awesome! It always starts with a good manager, excellent work here!

OK

By rexlv |

We went before the Ranger game so it was understandably packed and loud on a Tuesday night. We sat right down with our 6PM reservation so that was nice. We were seated in NYC fashion...6 inches from someone on each side of us. Server was very nice but service wasn't so great. We ordered nachos with chicken (came out without chicken), the steak (which was not a great cut of chewy hanger steak but tasted pretty good) and the filet mignon baguette which was pretty scrawny as far as the meat was concerned. Worst part is that mains came out at the same time as appetizer all smooshed on our tiny table. Lesson - always just get the burger! (Which looked great).

Best Chicken Ever

By CaraDmakes3 |

Stopped here before the Big East Tournament at MSG, the Salt Brick Chicken and brussel sprouts is one of the best dishes I've had. Perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender. The burger did not get as good of a review. Definitely recommend and we'll be back for more!

Great evening

Visited this bar on 2 occasions whilst in New York all of the staff were extremely friendly, we had a great time here and a great laugh

excellent food

What a wonderful event we had. The upstairs easily held over 100 people. The food was outrageously good, the service was warm, friendly and timely and the owners were a dream to work with!

Tartan Week

Our group of friends used Mustang Harry’s as our Local pub during our 6 days in NYC. Great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, with a large selection of beers, wines and spirits, we found the food really good too! The owners also took time out to speak with us too! The pub and its facilities were always clean and tidy even after a big night of which we had a few!!
