The kitchen was a true mess. Other tables got bread.... we had to ask. Water was not timely filled. Appetizers were put out three minutes prior to the serving of our very cold dinner. The tastiness was equally apparent to the frigidity. The portions are average. Service was seriously TRYING but they did not hit a home run.

Surprisingly authentic restaurant, clearly family run, despite being nestled in the base of a hotel. All the food was really wonderful, and the Greek wait staff was especially helpful in making informed choices.

They take reservations on open table for when they’re closed. Wouldn’t trust this place. Had a noon reservation for today, here at 12:05 and informed they dont open until later.

The rooftop lounge is under a clear roofing, and has a nice ambiance. There is also an outside terrace for smokers. We stayed at the hotel for a week and went to the rooftop often. The ground level restaurant also maintains a street level patio that I used everyday.

as a woman, dining alone, in NYC (or anywhere else for that matter). Most of the staff will keep asking, “Are you waiting for someone?”, until you want to scream, “NO! I’M ALONE AND ENJOYING IT!”. Not so at Mykonos Blue. I was greeted by the maitre d’, not questioned, and seated immediately at a lovely table where I could happily read my book (Rick Bragg’s The Best Cook in the World; I recommend it. Rick Bragg is an amazing writer). Moments later, a young busboy came over and took my water order. Then (drumroll, please), Alexander appeared. Alexander, lately of L.A and Rhodes, charming, attentive and full of excellent advice, steered me to a Greek Wine, Black Sheep. It was smooth, deep, rich and elegant. The pour was generous. Mykonos Blue has a large bar area. The restaurant is not large, but the tables are spaced well apart. I chose the sliced eggplant appetizer, stuffed with feta, and served in a yummy tomato sauce. It was splendid, so well-flavored and cooked by someone who knows what Greek cooking is. I read, sipped my wine, and enjoyed my book. Alexander came by to check on me; always nice. For a second course, I had a second appetizer, the Cypriot Meatballs. Wow, are they spectacular, served on a bed of Tzatziki. They could not have been more delicious. I will need the recipe to make them for Handsome Companion, who as we all know, favors meatballs. I accomplished almost 40 pages, a sign of a relaxed and enjoyable dinner. As I was sipping my wine, who should appear with sparklers in a dessert of some sort for 20-something, “Ally”, celebrating a birthday so long ago, I can’t remember, but Alexander, filling the entire, high-ceilinged restaurant, with an amazing baritone rendition of Happy Birthday which stopped every diner dead in her or his tracks. What a voice! This man should be on Broadway! As a final gesture after such a delightful meal, the chef sent a sampling of desserts; a tiny Baklava cigar, a dollop of chocolate mousse, and a square of Galaktoboureko. Not normally one for dessert, I have to admit to making an exception at Mykonos Blue. It was all simply fabulous.

A friend and I ended up wandering in here last night for a quick bite. We hesitated briefly as it is located in a hotel. We were so pleasantly surprised! We ordered a greek salad which had the most beautiful tomatoes I have seen in a long time. I followed that salad with grilled octopus which was quite possible the best I have ever had. Cooked and seasoned perfectly with a very generous portion. The service was so lovely as well.

I stumbled on this restaurant a couple of years ago and loved it so I was excited to go back with a Pulsd promotion. I should have read the reviews because they are true: bad service, cold poor food, no covid restrictions and obligatory 20% tip and an upcharge.

What a shocker and I can’t quite believe the other reviews…service is slow and rude, the place is really grubby/dirty, the food really poor standard and the prices ridiculous considering the above. The worst place I’ve been in a while….stay away would be my advice!!

Traditional Greek menu and everything is delicious. I recommend the spanakopita, meatballs and grilled octopus to start. Creative drinks served in the restaurant and at the rooftop bar. Located inside Hotel Hayden so can be easy to miss from the street!

I was recommended to this restaurant and my experience could Not be more disappointed. Food was not good at all, it tasted "old and re-heated" plus the bill was not "very un-Ethical ". I simply can't recommend to anyone.

A group of us met at Mykonos Blue intending to have drinks and dinner on the roof (not open yet). Instead, we ate in the bar/dining room off of the hotel lobby. The room is nicely appointed, but kind of noisy from the bar music and crowd. Cocktails and wine were ordered, small plates (an excellent octopus dish), then a whole pink snapper to be shared by four of us. The food was very good, beautifully seasoned and prepared. The service is a bit pushy - like you might find in a Greek tourist place on the Mykonos waterfront. The waiter tried to upsell us on everything. They were out of the wine I wanted and the waiter said he had another similar wine, which I accepted without asking the price - it was 50% more expensive than the wine I had originally asked for. This is a good place if you are willing to take the time to be very clear with your server; if you are a pushover, go elsewhere.

I went here on a Saturday night. The views are spectacular. We sat outside on the rooftop. It was quite empty which was surprising. The weather was perfect. The staff speak Greek. They are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We came with some Greek friends and they enjoyed the food as well. The Koftedes (greek meatball appetizer) was cooked to perfection! The freshly baked pita and hummus were wonderful! The lamb kebabs were a bit chewy but the chicken kebabs were perfect. My ONLY complaint is the floor tiles in the bar area. They were very loose and I was concerned about tripping.

We came here for my wife’s birthday and we were not disappointed. The service was good, and the food was excellent! (Definitely order the octopus). At the end of our meal, they even brought out some small deserts for the table. The best part, one of the staff sang happy birthday to my wife. Overall, a great experience!!!

I was staying next door and this Mykonos Blue had a nice patio and menu so I stopped for lunch. It was hard to get a server so I almost left. The restaurant is actually inside the hotel so there is no easy easy way to know if there is a customer on the patio. Wow, I am glad I stayed. Amazing Greek food. The pita and hummus was great. The Greek salad was authentic and perfectly delicious. I then had the meatballs which were to die for. The food was so good that I came back for dinner. The service at dinner was better but the food was not as good as lunch. The spinach and feta pie tasted like it came from the Costco freezer section rather than real. The chicken kabob was flat and un flavorful and the rice was the same. But, the dessert sampler was good. I will definitely go back- probably for lunch.

I happened upon Mykonos Blue because I staying at a hotel nearby. The menu sounded intriguing, so I went in and found quite a surprise: a world-class restaurant in the Hayden Hotel with inviting nautical décor, the smells of fresh flowers and aromatic cuisine, and one of the most welcoming and attentive staffs I can remember in any dining experience anywhere in the world. The "extra" level of service was more remarkable than I can suitably evoke, but the food! I chose the bronzino, which was absolutely a dream - moist, tender, well-seasoned. Probably should have gotten the calamari instead of Greek fries, but the fries were well-seasoned. The dessert included Greek-oriented desserts that were delicious, but they also brought me the chocolate mousse, which was actually the best of all--dark chocolatey in taste and somehow simultaneously thicker and lighter than most mousses! I returned the next night just for a drink or two and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. Best I could tell, almost all the staff is Greek - and by that I mean not just appearance or reported origin, but attitude. The staff is Greek in the sense that they welcome you with dignity and grace, but then they get down to the business of fussing over you to make sure your dining experience is more than you thought it would be. I am recommending this restaurant without reservation to all my friends and to all readers who appreciate Greek cuisine, Greek hospitality, attention to detail, and the above-and-beyond.

Nice quiet family run Greek restaurant. I have to say that the moussakas that I had was the best between, Seattle, Chicago and Los Angeles. Just like yaya used to make, and I really mean it. The prices were very reasonable, and the place had a quant out of the way feel, with nice Greek island décor. I would definitely eat here again any time that I am in New York.

Staff here did not seem to know how to serve a drink. Warm martini in a wine glass with a wrinkled cucumber -- really? Mussels in a seafood dish were spoiled. Took forever to get a check and the check was wrong. Felt like a weird Mafia front.

My husband and I had a most enjoyable dining experience at Mykonos Blue. We sat in the "outdoor"rooftop dining room on a cool, windy March evening. The heaters made it very comfortable, and we felt as if it was summer evening, with the NYC skyline all around. Our waiters were attentive and helpful. We had the Octapodi Sharas (grilled octopus) for an appetizer, and we had Lavraki ("Bronzini” Fish) for our entrees. All delicious. We were surprised by a complimentary dessert sampler the meal. It was the perfect ending for a great evening.

We enjoyed great food and fun here over the weekend! Just incredible eats, fun atmosphere and wonderful service. Thanks for a great, delicious meal and wonderful food!

Met a friend for dinner on a Wednesday evening - we arrived a little early and received a very warm welcome - the manager Bernie was very welcoming and ensured we were well looked after - the food was DELICIOUS I ordered the salmon with a Greek salad - the little nibbles we shared prior to ordering dinner were also delicious - the platter of mini desserts were our daughters' highlight of the evening! The chocolate Mousse was THE most delicious dessert our daughters are still talking about it!! After dinner, we went up to the Rooftop Bar - wonderful vibe up there, the Prosecco was a perfect way to celebrate friendship and the New York city skyline. The bar was busy but the service was efficient and friendly - a wonderful evening out.

Went there on a Puls'd Food was excellent. My g/f had their fish special and I had lamb chops. Both are highly recommended. Service is also excellent!!

The white rustic furniture and the windy spot make this place like a little greek island. With a view on the city. Kind service and tasty greek food. Traditional greek wines to make the evening more “sparkling”. A bit expensive but we are in NYC!!

We came here for an evening dinner as it was next door to our hotel. The hostess was very friendly and helpful - suggested food for me that I went for and it was amazing! Lovely wine too & gorgeous decor.

This restaurant was literally right around the corner from our hotel. I love Greek food, and it had just opened. It was not very busy, but we had excellent service. Both of our meals were great. My mom had the lamb, and I had one of the specials. Good wine choices as well. I would certainly eat here again when I am in NYC!

Imagine someone you know who is an incredible cook and a total foodie saying that she's found a fabulous Greek restaurant and can’t wait to take you there. Given her high standards I was intrigued and excited. So I walked into Mykonos with great anticipation. It went downhill from there... The hostess who escorted us to our table was charming I enjoyed talking with her about my two-week trip to Greece. She complimented me on my pronunciation of some very basic Greek and then sadly for us left. Enter Demetrious...he looked hung over or something strange. Charm was not his strong suit. He asked if we had any questions about the menu and if we were interested in hearing the specials. We were, so he came back with a tray with 2 ginormous prawns with the heads and a whole snapper that he assured us was from Greece. We ordered drinks and then food with him admonishing us not to order too many things. It was also puzzling that Moussaka, one of the national dishes of Greece was, “Not ready” and they had no calamari. So we agreed to start sharing a Greek Salad and Grilled Octopus. Apparently there's a shortage of feta cheese in their kitchen as we had a lot of vegetables in our salad but only two pieces of feta. I once made a Greek salad for an office party and the recipe I used called for removing the seeds from the tomato and cucumber, which was not the case with the one, served to us. Oh well...the octopus was better when I squeezed fresh lemon on it. As we're all health conscious, three of the four of us agreed per his suggestion to share a whole grilled snapper, which came with four sides. The entrees arrived in a dining room that was less than half full. What a shock!!!!! The French fries and spinach were piping hot. The star of our meal, the whole grilled fish.... to my horror was barely lukewarm!!!! Yikes!!!! As we were the guests of someone we adore who was so enthusiastic about the restaurant, I didn't really want to put a damper on things, but barely warm freshly grilled fish was a mystery to say the least. So when our waiter came to ask how we were, I said the fish was not hot. He seemed surprised and offered to return it to the kitchen to warm it. Really??? That would just have overcooked it. Not to mention the lemon caper sauce lacked any real flavor. I thought perhaps if I had some of the sauce heated it would help. That came to the table in a little dish barely warm as well. Thankfully I'd only taken a very small piece of the fish. So my dinner consisted of French fries and sautéed spinach. I decided to stretch my legs, go to the loo and reapply my lip paint. I was directed to take the elevator and go one level down. I did and found myself on a deserted floor in front of a door that you needed a passcode to enter. Not happy... So I took the elevator back up to the lobby and asked the person at the desk what the code was. Getting back into the elevator, someone beat me to the buttons and I took a ride up to 17 before going back down 18 floors to the lower lobby. I should have mentioned that the restaurant is in a hotel, so perhaps I should have been more focused when I was directed to the loo. I've just never been in a hotel restaurant that didn't have restrooms within that space or with access to ones that did not require a passcode. There was also nothing artful about the plating of the food. Someone was paying attention...and our waiter appeared with a round of drinks, "on him". Then complimentary dessert appeared. All I really needed was for the fish to have been hot with a sauce that had real flavor. Will not be recommending this place to anyone...ever!!! If you really want spectacular Greek food in Manhattan and have a good budget, treat yourself to Estiatorio Milos on 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Now they know how to make a Greek salad!!!!

We found a coupon on gilt and the reviews were pretty good. The waiter was so friendly and amazing and gave us great recommendations. The food was some of the best greek food I've had in the city and they cooked a whole fish for us. Highly recommend the seafood orzo and the shrimp in a red sauce.

Terrible experience!!!! We had a reservation and we waited for half an hour TO NOT BE SEATED! The hostess was not wearing a mask at all and the place was very crowded, very irresponsible!!! When I asked about my reservation, he said to wait more or to go home! I do not recommend at all!!!

I went with friends, we bought a Pulsd voucher. When we sat down we were told the voucher isn't valid on weekends, although it wasn't written anywhere on the voucher. I wrote to Pulsd to ask for a refund and they promptly made it, telling me that restaurant accepted pulsd vouchers from other clients the same night. So the restaurant clearly didn't want to serve us and didn't honor the voucher and mislead customers. With life getting back to normal, losing clients isn't definitely a smart thing to do.

Excellent menu and meals, loved the atmosphere and the overall décor, food was amazing as we expected it to be

What a find! I'm not one to typically eat in hotel restaurants, but this was such a lovely exception :) We had an hour before heading to a show and they were very accommodating. The pita was warm and fluffy with fantastic hummus! We had a salad, spanakopita and the chicken kebabs. All were fresh and flavorful. I'd happily eat here again if in the area :)

Just saw that Bernie was promoted to manager! How wonderful...he’s fantastic!! I always have such a great time sitting at the bar. And the food is great too.

Loved this restaurant. The decor is fresh and transports you to the Greek islands. The lovely rope art work is amazing as is the food. The spanakopita was delicious as were the dips and pita bread. The seafood orzo is something very special. Staff are friendly but over attentive. Checked on 8 times while having the starters. It's nice to be left alone a bit. It puts you under pressure getting constantly checked up on. Just ruined the evening s bit.

Excellent menu choices. Authentic Greek food. Casual, relaxed atmosphere. Unhurried, enjoyable meal. Service was impeccable. Must try the Greek salad, lemon potatoes and fresh catch.

i loved mykonos blue- not only was the food amazing, but the views are impeccable. everyone knows NYC is special - please go check out the rooftop!!!!

I thought I was booking the rooftop restaurant - views of the city on a summer's eve: it was closed for a private party.....sent down to the restaurant off the lobby: The Dining Room was surprisingly cheery, bright and unusual for NYC: space between the tables. We had a great & tasty dinner (bronzini, greek lemon potatoes, greek salad and a complimentary desert), could have a conversation, and except for the hovering waiters (a bit too much attention, grabbing of plates), it was a restaurant I would return to in a city of many restaurants!

We wanted a traditional greek home cook meal and that's exactly what we got . The food was delicious cooked and presented well. The service was great and very friendly. A little pricey bit hey I want quality and sometimes you have to pay . Highly recommended to eat here

Nice Greek restaurant, loved the white decor, reminded me of Greece. We were a group of 8 people for lunch and ordered different appetizers and they were all delicious. For the main course I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this restaurant if you want a little taste of Greece.

The restaurant is located inside a hotel and has very modern decor. The service was very slow, they appeared to be understaffed but our waiter made up for it by being very friendly and he was a very hard worker. The food was fabulous. The pita bread was amazing. The sea food orzo was delicious. The chocolate mousse was decadent.

What a treat! A group of four, we shared a number of small plates. We had a hard time figuring out what was the best since all were prepared with great care. We will certainly be back when in the area. Thank you!

Why isn't this place packed? The food is soooo good, from the appetizers (try the gigantes!) to the homemade hummus and delicious pita placed on the table to the main courses. All the service people are lovely and friendly. An extremely pleasant atmosphere for brunch and dinner.

We celebrated my birthday at Mykonos Blue in early August. We ordered 3 bottles of wine and 7 appetizers. We got the bill for 840.52 US dollars. My friend paid immediately, leaving around a 100$ of tips. At the moment, he didn't thoroughly check the bill, but he took a picture (attached). When we checked the bill, it turned out that the totals were tampered. As you can see in the attachment, the total for food should be 112$ whereas it was manually changed to 512$ - adding 400$ (before tax!) without any justified orders. We called the restaurant multiple times and sent many emails - they completely ignored our complaints. We even went there and met with the floor manager. When put on the spot, she agreed that it is their mistake and informed us that they'll reach out to the owners get back to us shortly. We initially assumed best intention therefore decided not to post it online. Now it's been more than a month and no one got back to us around this. It is obvious that they are trying to cover it up, god knows how many times this happened. I thought you guys should know. Facing this attitude from the venue, I have no choice but to engage a lawyer. Please reach out if this happened to you there as well.

I went here with a group from work for drinks to sit outside and enjoy the last of summer. It was a little overcast but not raining. Nonetheless the seat cushions were damp and oozed water when one sat down. Separately, the glassware was not clean ,including one glass with lipstick on it. The food was okay, not great, and the service was indifferent and slow.

The restaurant is Hotel Haydn in Chelsea in Manhattan. The place is simply decorated, it is we'll lit and air conditions. Staff is competent, informative but not insisting. Food is very good, the raw material and the cooking.

Went to the bar and was served by Bernie, man is Sam Malone of Cheers, he knew everyone's name and probably one of the friendliest bars I have ever been to and being in the entertainment business, I have been to my share. Food was excellent, if you want fish they actually have fresh fish that they will prepare for you oh and you get to pick the fish. I don't think I met a single person that wasn't smiling. If you want great service and good food definitely drop by Mykonos and make sure to sit at the bar and ask for Bernie, he will make your night.

Made a reservation for 7pm. Called at 6pm to confirm if there would not be any delays which they said no. When I turned up at 7pm they told me that there was group there till 8pm, and to come back at 8pm and hopefully they should be able to sit my group of four. After further research this is a common issue with this establishment. Your choice if you want this kind of quality of service.

Good food (I ate octopus salad and sea food plate with orzo that were delicious !). The restaurant is cozy and it is in the rooftop of the Hotel Hayden.

Our wait staff was so friendly and the food was so delicous and promptly served ....where can you get a fabulous breakfast, eggs, pancakes, bacon and coffee for $9.95? We even went back to eat lunch before our flight and it was just fabulous...so tasty and perfect!!

The best Greek style seafood we've had in the U.S. The fish is served more natural and complete than is usual in America. All the seafood was amazingly fresh and delicious. There is a wonderful wine list, full bar for friends and socializing.

I wanted to stop here for a quick bite. No such thing here. My keftedes were really good but took an hour to arrive. My salad never did show after about 1 1/2 plus hours. Bartender gave me an extra drink out of embarrassment for their disorganization. Very disappointed. So much potential

Food was decent but truly nothing extraordinary. Nice view, atmosphere is comfortable, but the food was just OK. Service was fine. Thirty five dollars of drinks we hadn't ordered were added to the bill, which we had to reverse. All in all, a good meal, but nothing extraordinary.

Picked this restaurant because of its proximity to Madison Square Garden. The food was delicious, the service was as good as you could ask for and the prices were reasonable. And the location was a 5 minute walk from MSG. I think this is the perfect place for dinner and drinks before a game or concert.

There is that feeling when you walk into a restaurant and you just know you are going to have a nice experience. Well, that's the case with Mykonos Blue. My friend and I were promptly greeted and seated in a comfortable, uncramped dining area which is stylishly appointed with a subtle Mediterranean flair. A focal point is the intricate, over-sized fishing seine that separates the dining area from the bar, while leaving an open feel. The entire staff was professional, yet personable. Of special note is Alexander, who was very attentive and kind...even loaning me his reading glasses, as I left mine at home, so I could peruse the menu. He definitely worked to make certain we would enjoy a nice evening. The menu? It's a solid Greek menu with a good, yet not overwhelming selection. Still it was tough to decide. After a house gift of slightly warmed hummus and pita/olive oil bread, for small plates, we decided on spanakopita and fried calamari. I did not try the calamari, but my friend loved it. The spanakopita was perfect. The entree choice was tough...grilled lamb chops or seafood orzo (or, as they call it, "Greek paella"). Grilled lamb chops served with Greek fries was the choice. They were kind enough to substitute rice in my case. The chops were perfectly done, delicious and nicely accompanied by both fries and rice. I'm not certain how, but we were able to manage room for a dessert sampler, all three delicious. Who doesn't love baklava?!? Dinner was at a leisurely pace...unrushed. And, the atmosphere was quite nice. My friend and I could have a conversation without the need to speak loudly. And, we received the same friendly treatment on leaving as when arriving. I highly recommend Mykonos Blue.

We ducked into this restaurant to escape the rain and ordered a variety of appetizers and it was a wonderful experience. Our waiter was awesome. I was not hungry enough to order a meal, but the entrees looked amazing.

We had a lovely evening at this roof top restaurant which cleverly uses space even in winters with strong heaters and the view is so pleasing ! What spoiled the effects is the white sofa made of cheap rexene to probably cater to the rains when it’s kept open . One has to take some time to figure out the all-rolled-into-one Dimitri who is seriously funny :) and he does suggest customised options which makes the experience much easier and enjoyable . Sword fish special was a big serving and tasted freshly delicious. The sides were as awesome as well - sautéed spinach , rice and potatoes - very tasty . The Greek salad took on a new meaning - it was simply the best I have ever had ! The humus was very bland but the rest of the food more than made up . The veg pasta was good too and the complimentary baclava with chocolate ice cream rounded up the evening .

Absolutely stunning view of the city from about twenty stories up. And, the drinks and food were good too...lol

We stayed at the hotel and did visit both establishments. The Mykonos Blue was a good place to sit back, relax, have a good drink and view the city. The bar tenders were attentive and pleasant and kept on top fo the beverages.

Overall there’s a great midtown atmosphere, casual, a lot of greens, comfortable table setting, BUT the service could be much better. As we entered the facility around 5:30 pm, the server (with treble clef tattoo on his neck, don’t remember his name) was standing by the elevator, said hi to us, we told him that we need a table and instead of showing us where to go he was standing and staring at us. In a little while he walked us to the table. But throughout our visit he kept on acting weird and made us very uncomfortable. Also it felt like drinks were water down a lot. When we were singing checks (which weren’t even out in the book) he was standing right over the table, which is rude and not professional. On the way out we noticed that the rest of a staff were having same weird attitude and mad faces like they don’t want to see customers at all. Also their seats were soaked in water which was running down our legs all the time we were there. Won’t recommend this place to my friends.

Ate at Mykonos Blue on a relatively quiet Tuesday evening in NYC based on TA reviews. When we arrived the restaurant was hopping busy (good sign). The restaurant is in the Hayden Hotel which is a little off the beaten track but nevertheless quite near to Madison Square Garden and a good choice for Greek food if you're in the mood. First impressions: the dining room is small and crowded. Noise levels are above average and the wait staff is, well put diplomatically ... not very attentive. There is a nice bar scene in the restaurant BUT what does it say about a Greek restaurant that they have NO Greek beer? Hmm ... ? OK, how about a nice bottle of sparkling white wine? Nope. Strike 1. Your menu arrives along with some EXCELLENT fresh baked amazingly thin pita and as good a plate of hummus that I've had in a long time. The menu is definitely not over-the-top in the number of offerings that the excellent kitchen offers up. A starter of spinach pie(s) arrived ... a nice plate of 4 smallish phyllo triangles with a very tasty spinach-feta filling. A Greek Horiatiki salad also arrived ... good quality ingredients but rather small for the price. Our entrees consisted of a nice kebab platter of marinated and then grilled chicken with a delicious side of leek rice. Unfortunately another side of sauteed spinach that we ordered failed to materialize (hold that thought). My wife's sauteed salmon was pronounced "yummy" and we happily devoured both entrees. Unfortunately our waitress NEVER came by the table after our entrees were delivered to check on how we were enjoying our food. In a restaurant that is not inexpensive by any means, the waitress should have stopped by just to "check." I had to literally grab her 3/4's of the way through eating dinner to tell her to remove the $9 side charge for the spinach despite the fact that she said sorry and that she would bring it right away ... umm, no thanks. The main course is finished. Strike 2. To make up for her lack of attentiveness our waitress brought a single dinner plate to our table with a spoonful of chocolate mousse, a sliver of baklava and a small sample of a very nice galaktoboureko. Wish we had a full serving of each ... oh well. The check immediately followed. Dinner for 2 (no dessert except the free taste we got + a Corona beer and glass of Cabernet) came to $120 ... not cheap. Considering the really good kitchen and a chef who obviously values the importance of serving great tasting Greek standards, the food alone rates up there with some of the best Greek food we're had). Unfortunately, service was lacking (hey, Tuesday nights are important, too) and the prices are above average for some rather small (but tasty) plates. We didn't get to visit the rooftop bar/seating area during our visit. Also, the bathrooms for the restaurant require an elevator ride to the lower level of the hotel so, if you have to go - make your trip BEFORE dinner. Will we return? Yes, but with a better understanding of what our expectations should be. In the end, the ownership of Mykonos Blue should be congratulated for the consistently great quality of it's chef and kitchen! On the other hand, the restaurant needs to REALLY get it's act together with it's wait staff. C'mon ... you can do a better job!

This restaurant has not been open too long, but if u do not put it on your list of places to eat you are missing a great Mediterranean experience! The humus is perfect best I have ever had, been to Mykonos and ISRAEL this was better! The salmon I had was cooked beautifully and was very fresh, my wife had the chicken kabob and it was served with a wonderful rice pilaf. Another great entree. The deserts are to die for, great chocolate mousse and baclava. Good choice of wines the Bordeaux was excellent!

This place is very good!! Very clean and highly recommended for dinner!! Staff is very nice and attentive. Authentic Greek food and affordable. My wife had the Lavraki and I had the Salmon. Delicious!! The decor is trendy and brings you to Mikonos. The drinks are a little pricey though. Definitely coming back.

We had a wonderful experience of dining in the restaurant last weekend. Yannis was our server. Service was great and food was tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like nice outdoor seating, greek food and pleasant service.

Great food, service takes something to be desired. We spent almost 500 dollars on a meal, but it seemed that the wait staff was making fun of us due to our weight during our visit. I love great food, but will seriously consider returning to this establishment.

Found this place on Open Table and thought we would try it out. Food was really good. Service was great too. I had the chicken kebabs with Greek potatoes and it was perfect. Would come here again. It’s inside a hotel... just an FYI.

The server was overbearing in trying to convince you to select on of the fishes. If you are a novice to seafood you may be fooled. Once the meal was delivered the server seemed to disappear. The rooftop bar not much of a view. If you are staying at hotel definitely look for eating places in the neighborhood. Get out and enjoy the city

Very unpleasant experience by food and charges (not too Ethic). I always write something positive about places I visit, but not here. Sorry!!!

My friend found this restaurant by doing a web search, typically I’d skip a hotel restaurant - but so pleased we ate at Mykonos Blue! The 4 of us shared a grilled red snapper, it was big, and delicious, so tender! We had a couple appetizers, including the grilled shrimp which we all enjoyed, and the grilled octopus - Yum! They have an extensive wine list and offer great hospitality! Mangia!

A Saturday night with the restaurant busy. Ionna provided prompt and personalized service. We started sharing the grilled octopus and grilled calamari. Both superb. We then shared a fabulous snapper substituting very fresh sautéed spinach for the starch. While we normally do not eat desert, we were given a complimentary sampling of three deserts including baklava When I commented how much I enjoyed it, Ionna sent us home with more complimentary baklava. A wonderful meal and evening. Thank you.

My West coast associate and I had just flown in and arrived at the hotel hungry. We checked in and immediately went to the front desk to ask for a place to eat that was close and good. She gave us several ideas and we decided upon Mykonos Blue because it was about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Mykonos Blue is in a hotel so you need to walk through the lobby to the restaurant. It was a Sunday night around 8pm and we were able to be seated immediately. After reviewing the menu I decided on the Solomos which is grilled wild Scottish salmon with a leek rice pilaf. My associate wanted to have the Kotopoulo, a free range organic half roasted chicken with lemon potatoes and Greek oregano. Our server informed us that the chicken would take 35-40 minutes to prepare and that if we were hungry this might take too long. With that said she changed her order to the Lavraki which is a lean white fish that is mild, moist and tender flakes. It is the entire fish and includes the head on the plate. While waiting for our meals they did serve grilled pita and hummus. We plowed through that and then they brought us more. I had asked that the salmon be cooked through, but not dry. Our server said it should be cooked "medium". I went with his suggestion. When the food arrived it looked good. Unfortunately for me the salmon was undercooked at the medium level. It was warm the entire was through, but I would have liked it to have been cooked a little bit more. I did not ask for it to be cooked more. I should have. At the end of the meal they did bring a little plate with 3 little desserts that we could split. The chocolate mousse was really good. All in all the menu was diverse and they did have a few specials which seem to change often. They also have a full bar and in the bar area they had 2 TV's that were tuned to sporting events. As far as parking goes forget it. This is midtown Manhattan. As with any Greek restaurant lamb is on the menu. I should have gone with that based on what I saw coming out of the kitchen. As I mentioned in the title the service was good. Our server was always checking on us and kept out water glasses full and the pita and hummus coming. Since we are only in NYC for a few days there are many other places to go in the Big Apple so we will try as many others as time allows.

Service was poor: got main dish whilst I was still eating my starter. Prices of drinks are extremely high. Quality of food is good

This place is popping! Had so much fun here the atmosphere is lively and the staff was so accommodating they have bottle service and great food! Highly recommended !

great food and ambience; not very loud you can actually have a conversation; located in the Hayden Hotel; the restaurant itself does not have a bathroom so you use the hotel lobby bathroom in the basement; if you are there to celebrate a birthday, call ahead and see if Alexander is working he sings really well

I had a reservation for 9pm Saturday 23 June. I took the elevator to the roof thinking the restaurant was located there, The roof was just a bar and was already heaving. I was informed that the restaurant was on the ground floor. I arrived to find the small area of the restaurant way overcrowded and the noise level was overpowering. It was obvious there was no sign of a table being ready for me for some time so I sat at the bar. I had to shout to the barman who was totally stressed out for a cocktail menu and was told he hadn't been given one so I had no idea what was available so I asked for a glass of red wine. after suffering this chaotic scene getting more manic for half an hour I left. Even if I had been offered a table there was no way an evening meal in this place would have been a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, we dined on the Seaford Orzo. The waiter described the dish to as Paella with shrimp, scallops and clams. We were served two shrimp, a few overcooked scallops and some very chewy mussels instead of clams.

Great restaurant for breakfast each day. Although we didn't dine there the menu looked great. We finished most days with a cocktail in the bar. Very friendly staff.

Mykonos Blue is now one my favorite dining spots in south midtown. The foods is excellent and very well prepared. Atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Ate here with three girlfriends outside on a beautiful new york night in October. We were served by friendly and accommodating George. We asked that he put together a platter of appetizers for us to share and it was amazing. So nicely presented that another group asked for the same thing. Everything was delicious and even though George was very busy with a large group celebrating a birthday party, he gave us very attentive service. The food was really really good and combined with great service and wonderful cocktails made for a perfect girls night in New York

The bar area is very noisy, due to people and music, but there is a smaller dining area off of the bar for quieter dining and drinks.

Dimitrias changed what started out little "hmmm?" to turning our stay into one of the best stays we've ever enjoyed in all of our travels. And kudos to the welcome team & entire support staff that went above and beyond to assure we remained happy during our entire. From soup to nuts you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. THANK YOU TEAM MYKONOS BLU!

Booked here due to good reviews and it being one block down from our hotel (Innside by Melia). On the booking I made a note of it being my wife’s birthday, and from first arrival they could not do enough to help make it a lovely evening. All staff were very friendly and helpful which provided a really relaxed dining experience. The food was excellent and we were guided by Dimitri’s recommendations. Lamb dishes were awesome, excellent find, would highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and good service. A complimentary dessert sampler was a nice surprise and a wonderful way to end the evening.

Visited the bar with a Greek friend and enjoyed a warm welcome from the bartender Bernie who was a great storyteller. Didn’t have time to eat but menu looked appealing so will definately go back

Went here with great expectations as the pictures on open table looked lovely. Once inside things looked very different did not feel clean, a group of ladies who sat down in front of us got up and left saying they didn’t like the place and it wasn’t what they thought. There was no drinks menu which was clearly because they didn’t want you to see the prices which were very high for poor quality product. My food came out cold after a long wait so we didn’t wait for the mains - just paid and left. I do not recommend.

Went for a bite before a show at MSG. Sat outside and people watched as we ate. Food was very good and the service was excellent and pleasant. would definitely eat there again.

I have been wanting to revisit Mykonos Blue - with Handsome Companion - ever since my early-July solo dinner which I so enjoyed. I finally had the opportunity this past week when H.C. was in the City for a late event which did not include dinner. I made an 8:15 P.M. reservation. We arrived. It was crowded, a tad noisy, and with too-loud music. “Oh no,” I thought, “H. C. will not be happy with the volume of this music.” I surreptitiously asked our waiter if he would have the volume turned down slightly. He responded, “Of course. Not a problem.” The volume of the music reduced in volume not a minute later. H.C. looked up from his menu and said, “That’s better.” I smiled. A waitress came over and recited the wines by the glass, including a “Pinot noy-er”. On hearing that, I asked her if Alexander was available. She said he was and would send him. Shortly thereafter, Alexander appeared, looking dapper as ever. He produced a magnificent Pinot Noir for our inspection, opened, and poured it. We tasted it; we both sighed. Alexander knows his wines and what makes customers happy. Since it was late already, we decided to order a few small plates. We order 1 Melitzana Feta, 1 Seftalia and 1 Keftedes, and shared them. The Seftalia, grilled, flat meatballs, are delicious. The Keftedes, in tomato sauce, have nothing for which to apologize, but the Seftalia are beyond divine. Handsome Companion loved all of it. It was just enough to satisfy and not sate us. We wanted nothing more, but when a plate of three small desserts appeared, we tasted each: a dollop of rich chocolate mousse, a small cigar of baklava, and a small square of galaktobourekos; sweet and authentic. I really like Mykonos Blue. To me, it feels more like being in Greece than any other Greek restaurant in NYC. And then there is Alexander, who makes it that much more enjoyable.

I was on a business trip and went alone on a Friday night. I had a couple drinks and 2 appetizers. The food was excellent (beet salad and octopus) and the bartender was very friendly. I will most certainly be returning.

My husband and I went here on a Friday night for dinner and we were really blown away by the whole experience. The food was great; we ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, a Greek salad and a lamb entrée. The bartender came to our table and helped us pick out a great bottle of wine and when we were done with our meal, we were given a small, complimentary dessert plate. The service was impeccable and the ambiance is really cute. I would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone who enjoys Greek food. My husband and I eat out a lot in NYC (too often in fact) and it was really nice to enjoy a delicious meal and have staff be so attentive. At a lot of restaurants you feel rushed to eat and get out so that the restaurant can seat the next guest. Our experience here was quite the opposite, which was a welcomed surprise.

Had dinner with colleagues there and Julia attended to us. Colleagues from all over the world loved the food and service!

Stopped in for a late lunch, early dinner. Decided on an assortment of appetizers- grilled shrimp, stuffed grape leaves and an assortment of dips and pita. Calamari was our fourth choice but after going into the kitchen our waiter told us there was no calamari available. After the other dishes were brought to the table, the manager brought out some fish stew as a complimentary dish! We enjoyed all our choices - the stew, shrimp and dips were delicious! Only the grape leaves were a little disappointing. The Greek wine was perfect and we were surprised when we were given a dessert to share on the house! Lovely ambiance, friendly service and delicious meal.

We had room service so didn't eat in the restaurant which is a popular place. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced. Definitely a place to go.

From the first bite of appetizer to the last bit of dessert, all was perfect. Succulent seafood to the best honeyed baklava I ever tasted. The wait staff was gracious. Can not wait to return.

I ve been to many Greek restaurants worldwide. I can say that this is the best. Amazing food which reminds you Greece, good selection of wines and the most friendly staff. From the first minute that we walk in they make us feel like we are home and unique. Many thanks to our waiter Dimitri, to the barman which unfortunately I m missing his name and of course Georgianthi. Thank you all that you make our dinner special. I ll see you soon when I ll come back to visit your city again and we will definitely recommend your restaurant to our friends. Thank k you again ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We were staying at the hotel and ate dinner. Great drinks. Bernie the bartender is a professional bartender. We had small plates of Greek selections. My daughter raved about her chicken shish kabob. They were great and substituted fries for rice. Delicious. Loved the bread. Would love some now. Excellent wines. I recommend the Santorini white Desserts great too. Try the chocolate mousse! The staff really was attentive and provided excellent customer service. Didn't try seafood, but they had a big selection

So glad we stopped in here for a bite on a late Saturday afternoon. We were the only guests in the place and were treated warmly and attentively. The three of us shared multiple small plates: meatballs, calimari, octopus, Greek salad...all were delicious! Same for the complimary pita and hummus. We will return!

I was eating alone at this Greek restaurant. The service was desultory and when the server did arrive, he speedily moved away. I wanted lamb and there were 3 choices. My preference was not available so I started to ask a question about the lamb shank and lamb chops. He heard "lamb shank" and scooted away, thereby making my choice for me. Fortunately, I like lamb shank and this was a small one served over a nicely flavored rice. This is the only time I can remember when I felt that I was not treated well as a solitary diner.

On the positive side, the setting (ate with a companion on the first floor) was great, and were very pleased that we could comfortably talk without noise and nearby diners (the place was almost empty while we were there, from about 5:00 to 7:15 p.m. on a Sunday). The server -- perhaps it was Yannis? -- was excellent. Personable, attentive, friendly and patient. If only the food was of the same caliber. I ordered the "arni youvetsi" (baked baby lamb shank with orzo), and it was dry and appeared to have been prepared at least several hours ago. Maybe that was unavoidable for an oven-roasted dish that has to be prepared in advance, and there is low turnover. Regardless, it was not worthy of being served.

We ate here shortly after it opened a year or so ago. We stayed at the Hayden Hotel this trip and once again enjoyed the restaurant. Great service and friendly staff. Excellent menu. Complimentary hummus with pita bread and a dessert taster. My husband enjoyed the lamb shank and on our second visit the octopus. I had Spanakopta with a Greek salad. Delicious. Drinks reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. Now serves breakfast which was also very good.

We stumbled upon this restaurant, 20th story rooftop looking out on a foggy evening. dance beat hip-hop music going a little louder that we expected but the evening warmed to the vibe. Fun waiter. We asked for ouzo. a Greek restaurant after all, and were told they didn't have any. Ordered a variety of small plates: eggplant, spanikopita, dolmates, octopus, traditional Greek salad, ... all were excellent. Then halfway into our meal our server showed up with ouzo on the house. Unexpected delight. Dessert also provided complimentary. It made for an memorable experience.

The worst restaurant I have ever been to! They stuck us in a room on the first floor and they call themselves a rooftop restaurant…management, hostess and waitress all were rude to our entire party. The only person that treated us kindly was the bartender! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Mykonos Blue is now one of my favorite restaurant in New York. The food, the flavours, the wine, the service and the wonderful people operating it. I just love it and i will be back again and again. Thank you guys at Mykonos Blue for unforgettable food and atmosphere. Loved It!

Near my hotel in flower district, so ate there first evening. Had spanikopita for appetizer and seafood orzo for entree. Dish was comprised of scallops, shrimp and mussels. Absolutely, the sweetest scallops I've tasted in years and they were huge to boot. Restaurant was practically

Our server was engaging and passionate about the menu items. The wine list was just perfect. My salmon was a bit bland and the restaurant was very busy and loud. I’ll try another visit sometime and hope to get a dish with more flavor!

Beautifully decorated with varying venues (roof top bar, roof top restaurant, inside restaurant, and street level outdoor dining. Food was very good although portions were a bit small.

We were looking for a nice place for our last dinner in NY and that was the perfect spot for an unexpected great view!! Food was delicious and I recommend the Orzo seafood!! Also salmon was great! Really fresh! Highly recommend

Absolutely the worst restaurant in NYC, very unprofessional and disrespectful. Deceitful online pictures as it looks nothing like that.

I was in town on a theater-going trip and met a lovely woman I'd known a while back, long since moved to NY, for dinner and drinks. She charmed the server with her knowledge of Greek, and we wound up having an incredible meal. Smooth service, great food; in her words, "as good as what my sister and I had in Greece". Wonderful fresh seafood, served with side items I didn't know at all but all of which were incredible. Then we went to the rooftop bar for more drinks and had even more fun. A great evening thanks to this terrific restaurant!

This is a wonderful addition to the Greek restaurant scene in NY. The food is delicious The seafood tastes like it just came off the boat and I dream about the seafood orzo! The staff is friendly and accommodating. I have been there at least5 times in the last year and have never been disappointed.

I have literally just got back from dinner at Mykonos Blue Restaurant and was so impressed by the service I had to write a review straight away. I was dining alone as I was away on Business and staying in the Hotel Hayden which is in the same building as the restaurant. Yes I was being lazy and didnt fancy venturing out after a long day! Sometimes the waiters/servers are not that interested in solo diners in my experience but the service I received was absolutely faultless. I cannot recommend highly enough. The food was very good too. Very tasty, Greek and Cypriot food. Will definitely be coming back next time I am in NYC.
Great find
