Excellent

By Dave B |

7:00 Friday night, place was hopping. You walk in and immediately have multiple single slice options. We had pastor, Marguerite, sausage, pepperoni. Slices were cooked fast, service was fast and energized. Crust was thin and cooked perfect. The thick crust was awesome, crusty but not too chewy.

Perfect dough!

By siuling |

The dough was perfect. It was airy and non-greasy. The toppings were great and we loved the selection. The pizza tasted fresh and most importantly, the kids were happy!

Best Pizza in NYC

By lipschick |

We think this is the best pizza spot in the city. The location is OK, opposite MSG near Penn Station, its a little bit of a walk if you are staying mid town, but nothing major, like 20 mins perhaps. But....it is worth every step. Second time we have dined here, after a 2018 trip and it was just as good, possibly better than the first time. Slice of Hawaiian for her (again, please don't judge), Chicken Parm pizza, Buffalo Chicken pizza, Fra Diavalo, Suprema. Cokes. Lots of sitting about after we'd finished rubbing out overly stuffed stomachs pondering life and the walk back up to W 44th street. Can't recommend highly enough, and can't wait to go back.

It really was that good!

By TravelinManDan |

When planning my trip to NYC, I was interested to see where some of the best pizza might be. TripAdvisor reviews led me to try Pizza Suprema, particularly because it was close to my hotel & conference. I got a slice of the Suprema (i.e. supreme) pizza and it was a-mazing. Each bite was crispy and more flavorful than the last. It was literally the best slice of NY style pizza I've ever had. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in NYC!

Order to take out… next time I’ll stay

By Juan Carlos C |

Best pizza of NYC, I order 3 different slices, couldn’t decide which one was better!!, the pice, the wait time and flavor! Great combination

THIS IS THE PIZZA

By touristypop |

The pizza I had here is the best pizza I’ve ever had. If that NYC pizza is what you are after - crispy base, insane umami flavour off the chart- this is it. For Italian pizza go to Italy. For NYC pizza go here. Srs

Popular for a reason, great pizza!

By Jones W. |

Very good pizza, with the speedy service as we know it in NYC. Reasonable prices for what you get as big portions. One slice, and we were already full! 😋

Go!! Just go!!

By SFSDSK |

It looks like, and is, a little hole in the wall restaurant near MSG and Penn Station and they make and serve the absolute BEST pizza anywhere!! So flavorful and satisfying!! Go! Just go!

Want better authentic New

By Jeffrey T |

Want better authentic New York pizza, good service, and a clean place to eat? Go somewhere else. NY pizza is very subjective...

Maybe one of the best pizzas in NYC

By cicconemario2 |

We went as a family our first night in NY They have a very wide variety of knowledge The pizzas are exquisite the attention is very friendly, the place is quiet, opposite the MSG, very easy to get to. Good value for money Fully and Absolutely Recommended

Possibly the best slice

By David |

They proudly advertise inside that they are the best slice. They may be right. They are just pizza. Nothing else. They do it right. Specialty pies. A very well-run operation. Clean tables and an assembly line efficiency. The sauce is top quality. The buffalo chicken was awesome and not too spicy. It may be the best slice.

NY pizza at its best!

By Linda147 |

Stopped into get a bite. Really great. It’s a busy place with many different slices to choose. The crust is perfect. We liked it so much that we took home 2 pies.

This was the second famous pizza place we tried in New York... Definitely better than the other one. The crust was chewy, the base was crisp and the flavours were great. The pizza was so good we went back for seconds. Would definitely come back again.

Perfect culinary experience with awesome tastes..

By ThieryA-M |

Utterly the best pizza I’ve ever had. Tried three different slices: Supreme/Fig/Spinach All three were better than I could ever had imagined. Fantastic fresh taste with perfect fresh topping on a thin delicious base. Simply the best.

Perfect slice.

By BeakerTX |

Classic. Quick. Simple. Plenty of options. Excellent stop for a tourist taste of NY style pizza. The line moves quick, if there is a line.

Excellent pizza!

By rhokanson |

We were looking for a pizza place near Penn Station and were delighted to find this highly recommended restaurant nearby! Quick service and absolutely fantastic pizza, reasonably priced.

BEST PIZZA near MADISON SQ GARDEN

By airbrush1212 |

Pizza Supreme is AWESOME...casual pizza joint with photos of Anthony Bourdain hanging reminding you that he, as a super foodie, must have eaten here often. They have a tremendous selection. There is of course the usual suspects, but also things like mozzarella and fig, or spicy honey. Every slice I have tried I have LOVED !!!!! It's a super great place all the time..and could not be more convenient after any event at MSG.

It’s clearly a NY institution

By barlando2 |

It’s clearly a NY institution and the pizza is great. Oh but stressful if you’ve not been there before and they don’t have patience. But that pizza is delicious!

By far the best pizza I ever had!

By Nanette B |

Ok, yes I am from California. So what do "I" know about pizza. Let's just say I don't even like pizza. I never crave pizza; I don't have a favorite pizza place in CA; I dread going to children's parties or group events, because they usually serve pizza. But wait...don't stop reading my review because you're thinking what would "she" know about good pizza. On our trip to NYC, my adult kids refused to leave until we had real New York pizza. They researched online and suggested NY Pizza Suprema. I am a team player and went along for the ride. I ordered the meat lovers slice and they each had cheese. All I can say is, it was mind blowing. I enjoyed every bite from slightly crisp bottom of the thin crust to the tasty Italian sausage, meatballs and pepperoni on top! the sauce was slightly sweet (just enough to counter the bitterness of the tomatoes) and perfectly distributed. After we all devoured every bite, we ordered a whole pie to go and ate it on the bed in our hotel room! With all the walking we are doing...we didn't even hesitate to indulge. So take it from this non-pizza eating Californian. There is nothing like NY Pizza Suprema. It's the ONLY pizza I will eat. If you only have time to try one pizza place in NYC - this is the one!

Great pizza!

By aaiimmeess |

Stumbled across this pizza restaurant on the way to the theatre. There were about 10 people queuing when I got there, so I figured it was going to be worth queuing for. Plenty of pizza slice options, and also available as a whole pizza. I opted for a ham & pineapple slice, and a meaty slice (I hadn’t eaten since breakfast!) - very reasonably priced, and very filling. There is sufficient seating inside if you wish to dine in. When I left, there must have been a queue of 40-50 people!! That in itself speaks volumes for how good this pizza is! I will definitely be back on my next visit to New York!

I’m sure there’s better in NY

By Niki W |

It was ok. Our deep crust pepperoni pizza was loaded with pepperoni and tasted ok but SO greasy. My daughter’s cheese and tomato was burned on the bottom and she wasn’t a fan at all. Had to hunt out cutlery. Service was ok but it’s pretty much self service. Toilets are grim, has to wash our hands after all the grease but…nasty.

Amanzing

By Martina |

Being Italian, I was sceptical about eating pizza abroad, but I was so wrong! This is very likely the best pizza you could ever eat in the city! The staff is very kind and always willing to help, the ingredients are top notch. Definitely recommended!!

Wow pizza

By All-that-glitters |

Close to the Empire State Building this place had really good pizza and crust just the way I like it. Definitely a must go if you love pizza.

lived up to the hype for me - good sized slice with great flavor options

By Lori M |

this pizza snob says "YES" this place lived up to the hype for me. I found out about it from either Reddit or TA Forum (or both?) and agree it's a winner. Was stoked when I learned this is a Bourdain fav. I usually try the plain so I can make fair comparisons but since I've been wanting to try a hot honey this is what I got. (super expensive at $7.75 for a slice!) I will definitely return to try the plain. The hot honey slice was basically a white slice with a generous drizzle of honey after it had been heated up. The honey melted and became too liquid so slid off and made a mess so I would not order that again - however the quality of the pizza still showed through for me. Very flavorful, generous size, tasty cheeses, and it arrived hot! It was busy but I still got served quickly and got a place to sit. Right by MSG it's location is convenient.

Recommended!

Great pizza, so many to choose from. Staff was really nice and the restaurant was clean. Recommended!

Mama Mia!!!

Excellent place to eat pizza solids. A very varied choice, excellent pizzas at a price defying all competition.

Fantastic place

By MICK |

Spent 4 nights in nyc and after the pub we came here for pizza every night having a different pizza every night.I miss this place.great service and quick with lots of staff..a must visit if your in nyc 8th and 31st street across the road from madison square gardens and 3 blocks from the New Yorker hotel. Fantastic takeaway or dine in.

Heavy with lots of Sauce.

By WanderlustDust |

I’ve always thought of NYC-style pizza as having a light touch—thin crust, minimal sauce, and just enough cheese. This spot came highly rated, but it just wasn’t my kind of slice. If you enjoy a saucier pizza, it might be right up your alley. Personally, we had better luck at Andiamo Pizza.

Great Pizza

By Nupester |

This is vintage New York Pizza with the thin crust and fresh ingredients. I had the signature suprema slice and it was excellent. It’s a hole in the wall, not much seating, and not real comfortable for a long visit. Price is $5-7 a slice.

Excellent slice by MSG.

By BluejayDoc |

Great pizza by the slice. Very efficient despite big crowds (don’t be discouraged by a line). Try the Burrata or the Fig!

Nice place nice pizza

By Kenny |

Perfect spot with delicious pizza that we had. We decided to come here when we saw the reviews and we actually loved it. Nice place

Never Misses

By mk148127 |

I have been going here for over 40 years. I used to pass 3 other pizza places lunchtime to go here. It was great before the world discovered it. Slices are huge. Taste has not changed in all the years. Always busy(it is across the street from MSG and tables are tough to come by, but worth the wait. I love the regular slices, but they also have every topping imaginable. In New York it is risky calling something the best, but this one is.

Best NY pizza

By claireyh23 |

Hubby and I ate in here 4 out of 5 days we were there. The pizza is absolutely delicious. Queue can be very long as it is so good but you never waited more than a couple of mins to be served. Pizza was delicious and was the best we had!

The best pizza in town hands down don’t go anywhere else

By jla113 |

This is always our first stop when visiting NYC. Often we come straight from JFK with suitcases, to get our fix of the super tasty and can’t be heated meat lovers pizza. The juicy tomato tasty with the thin but crispy base smothered in meat. Just the best. Don’t waste your money going to any other pizza place, go here and you will never go anywhere else.

Walk tour in NY

By Tatjana S |

Big pizza slices and variety of them. Good and seasable location. Possibility to take the meal indoors. Good price and performance.

Good value pizza

By Michael L |

Not the fanciest pizza, nor the most Italian pizza I have ever eaten. But it costs $4 for a very big slice of the Cheese Pizza (their basic and award-winning one). In comparison to Australia, this would be about 1-3 to half a large pizza. We also tried the $7 slice of the Fig pizza (I preferred the Cheese pizza, they preferred the Fig (so go fig-ure). The crust is not too thick or thin and the topics are well-distributed and neither over or undergenerous. They apparently offer free delivery, though we ate there. The stalls are simple and basic with large plastic shields for COVID control. The pizzas are not wood-fired. The slices do get reheated sometimes (instead of being freshly baked). But the value is good and the taste is pretty good. It came highly rated from a friend, who was a local, so I supposed this is a good slice of NYC-style pizza.

Awesome pizza , worth the reputation .

By bristol-paul |

A short walk from our hotel and touted as the ' best slice ' in NY by several sources ( check out their website ) we decided to give this place a go to feed our 9 and 7 year old , who would live on pizza alone given half the chance . The que out pf the door was a good sign and the staff kept the lone moving quickly . The vast majority of customers were buying 1 or 2 slices which are served on paper plates with napkins and the either taking out or grabbing one of the seats inside . As we wanted to buy a whole pie the guy behind the counter told us to take a seat and someone would take our order from our seat . Even though it was busy we found a seat ok and a pleasant member if staff took our order of a whole pepperoni pie . It came out in around ten minutes and that's when we realised we had made a mistake . It was huge ! We have traveled to the states a lot in the past so used to American portions versus UK but this was bigger than what we expected and great value ( for midtown Manhattan) at around $35 . More importantly it was delicious and met the seal of approval from the kids and adults alike . We took what we could eat there and then ( half the pie ) away with us . Great pizza , no frills , good price and kids wanted to go back the next night ! Highly recommend

Great once you know what you need to know

By nemesisofpop |

New arrivals from the uk will be confused if they start doing research. You do not need a whole pizza! One or two slices is almost always enough. Have a good look at the pizzas before you order, the word description isn’t what you would get in the uk. Once you know what you actually want and how much you need, this is both brilliant and very reasonable cost wise. The pizza is delicious.

Good options for vegetarians, fantastic slices!

By Adamj7777 |

Delicious pizza, great atmosphere in here at any time, love seeing the whole range of New Yorkers and tourists in here all enjoying the great slices. A massive range of toppings to choose from including lots of great veggie options which is really lacking elsewhere. A little more expensive than many other places, but worth it in my opinion.

Super pizza

By debbieguitor |

This is a classic NY Pizza by the slice place. Nothing fancy but a huge selection of pizza ready to eat.

Gammelfleisch

By Lukas B |

Eated a pizza with chicken and bacon, landed everything outside 2 hours later. It seemed strange to me that the pizza is in the shop window and it's just being made warm. Possibly since 2 days?! Anyway, it was lamb meat! The dough is processed without gloves, absolutely unhygienic!

New York style pizza near Penn Sta and Madison Sq Garden, with vegan options

By Andy19003 |

Stepped out of Penn Station, coming off of Amtrak and switching to LIRR. This place is on the other side of Madison Square Garden, so not much of a detour. A line forms out the door but it moved quickly. Pizza by the slice in a myriad of pre-set toppings and styles. Be sure to make note of the menu sign outside because you will need to tell the person behind the counter when you make your way in. Slice goes back in the oven for a few minutes as you make your way to the cashier. Be ready to say your order quickly because, after all, this is New York so no one has time for you to make up your mind. If you are a purist ask for a "regular slice" - this is a thin crust with a delicate crunch, a tasty pomodoro with a medium layer of cheese - the way a New York slice is supposed to be. Also notable are the vegan options, it uses a nice vegan cheese substitute; being lactose intolerant it was nice to have these as standard options at the counter. I asked for the slice to stay in the oven a little longer because I like the crust extra crispy, and it did not disappoint. Seating is sparse but it does turn around quickly. Plenty of folks also order and pick up whole pies and take them out as well.

Was expecting a lot more

By Ken & Rose |

We ordered a pizza for delivery (through slice) to our hotel a couple of blocks away We’d seen this place ahead of coming and decided it would be our first meal It was good but we were underwhelmed given the comments of everyone previously One big plus is the crust as people have mentioned! We will be giving the place another visit but in person later in the week, hopefully it’s better to visit rather than delivery

Can be made , but there are enough alternative choices in NYC

By Norbi St. |

Good pizza selection , prices like anywhere in Manhattan. Wasn't anything outstanding now but ok ! But there are also better ones for partly only 1.50$ the slice on the side roads . Popular with locals !

This is what a NY slice tastes like

By SMOKESTACK |

When I think of what a NY pizza would taste like this place nails it. Order a slice from a pre-made selection and wait 5 mins for it to be tossed into the oven. Comes out hot and crispy (stays in the oven until the underside crust is crispy) and delicious thanks to the pizza sauce - rich and tangy. There are 20 pies to choose from and even good veg options. The pepperoni and the Sicilian were the favorites! You might be able to order a custom pizza to go if you call ahead because they do delivery and takeout. Almost across the street from Madison square gardens. About 20 tables inside but would rotate quickly. No lunch rush between 11:30-12pm.

Best slice!

By Carolyn C |

Dropped by for a slice after a broadway show - it was our fave slice the entire trip. Felt safe even at 1130pm. The people were nice and had that old pizzeria ambiance. Highly recommend!

True NYC pizza

By Heather C. |

The true New York City pizza parlor experience! Big slices, bold flavors, great pizza! We had the Suprema, Sausage, and Hamburger

The Real Thing - Authentic New York Pizza at its Finest!

By GGWD |

Great place for exceptional quality Pizza. Probably 15 - 20 options by the slice or by the pie, we had the Fig, Pepperoni and Margarita - all were exceptional, crust is very very tasty. We wanted the NYC pizza experience and NY Pizza Suprema nailed it. Lots of photos of famous folks eating in there including Rachel Ray, Curtis Stone, Anthony Bourdaine.

Really good pizza next to MSG

By Denis Glushkov |

I’ve visited this pizza corner few times and enjoyed it a lot. Great pizza and reasonable price. Recommended!

Far and above the rest

By Nick C |

Tried finding the best NY style and found it here. Best pizza we had and they offered a ton of traditional, Sicilian and upside down pizza. Quick and efficient service. Piping hot and fresh ingredients. Get a slice already!

Pizza was true New York style

By Brian W |

Pizza was true New York style and delicious. Great atmosphere from a family owned restaurant. Be ready to order as you step through the door and prices are super low for NYC.

Worst service experience for years in the US

By Bertrand V |

Worst lunch experience after 4 weeks traveling across the US, very unfriendly staff making no effort to deal with my health issues. My advice : run away from this tourist trap !

Late dinner

By Tammy R |

We had this delivered to our hotel. We got a white pizza and a margarita pizza. Both were to die for. We even have leftovers for when we get home.

Amazing Pizza

By Ethan M |

This place lives up to the hype! The staff is super friendly, and the pizza? Simply incredible. Perfect crust, flavorful toppings, and worth every penny, even if it's a bit pricier. Definitely the best pizza in town!

When Pizza Finally Arrived.......Very Disappointing

By Lucas H |

We ordered a large pizza to be delivered to our hotel. We were told it would be 30-40 minutes until it was delivered. After an hour I called the shop, and I was told it was out for delivery and it would be 10-15 more minutes. I called again 20 minutes later, and they told me it hadn't been cooked yet. I called the shop for a third time and was told they cooked a fresh pizza, and it was out for delivery, and it would be 10-15 minutes. When I finally received my pizza, over two hours after I had placed my order, the pizza was cold, and the large pizza was stuffed inside a smaller box and one corner was folded over. The pizza was cold and almost inedible.

Cozy and simple

By Andrés PZ |

Rainy day, we entered and it was a very welcoming place. Lots of simple and delicious pizzas, lots of tables, and pretty attentive service. Accessible prices.

New York Pizza is Supreme

By ArtsyGalBaltimore |

How convenient to order by the slice and inside dining to boot. Line moves quickly. By the slice sausage generous on the meat. Garlic/white pizza a bit heavy on the garlic for me. Friendly staff. good choice for a reasonable lunch.

The best pizza slides ever

By Kummiseta |

We needed some food before evening NBA game. I couldn’t be more happy about the place what we find and where we eat. Our dinner included 4 different shared slides and each one of those were great. I can’t help you and say what to pick from ”desk” because it was full of winners. Worth of visiting and easy to recommend.

Lots of choices, tasty food, a little pricey

By Jenny from Santa Cruz |

We appreciated that there were a lot of types of toppings to choose from. Each we tried was delicious. The price is more than an average slice place, but the quality seemed justified. The dining room area is super casual and enough space to eat while sitting with large luggage (if you're on your way to/from nearby Penn Station).

Tastefully Traditional

By Krystal M |

My partner is certainly picky when it comes to pizza. This pizzeria is hands down THE BEST pizza we have tasted in NYC! Everything from the fresh tomato sauce to the airy and perfectly crisped crust was outstanding. A must try when you’re craving pizza and in the city. Conveniently located across from Madison Square Garden. Certainly won’t be paying for food inside the stadium when we’ve got this gem right across the street. Will be back!

Italianness in the Big Apple

By Giorgia F |

If you are looking for Italian authenticity in a pizza you can undoubtedly go to Pizza Suprema. Antonio, the pizza chef, in addition to being a super welcoming and helpful person, is a pizza master. We ordered a margherita and the result was truly unexpected. After ten days in New York and a desperate search for the taste that represents us, we found him. Well, now it's up to you... all you have to do is go to this place and delight in the Italian spirit! Thank you for your hospitality and for the magnificent pizza!

You’ll get the best pizza

By Mike Pittaman |

You’ll get the best pizza here for your price, we ordered the Hawaiin with baked chicken speciality and it came out really good and tasty. The price is much cheaper than other places and worth the price. There is a slide too cheesy feeling but for that price it’s the best in here.

Nothing like a NYC Slice!

By Jim B |

Nothing like a NYC Slice! And this is one of the best! Right across fro Penn Station, it was the first place we went when we arrived in NYC. Get the plain cheese or the Margharita.

Great pizza

By weekd09 |

Late tea on the first night of our trip and we were not disappointed. Lots of options, fresh pizza and it tastes great. Staff clearly take pride in their work. Well worth a visit.

Great, even before Madison Square Garden event

By Michaeljc676 |

Pizza was fantastic. Each slice was huge. We each got two slices, which was borderline too much if you get extra toppings. As other reviewers have said, know what you want before it is your turn. I was nervous about it being too crowded about 90 minutes before the Billy Joel concert, but we maybe waited in line 5 minutes.

What a NYC Pizzeria Should Be

By Suzy B |

Walking out of our way to reach NY Pizza Suprema, we were well-rewarded with a wide variety of by-the-slice options featuring high-quality and flavorful toppings atop a thin crust baked to perfection. We were disappointed that their soda machine was down so that we couldn’t enjoy ice cold Cokes with our slices, but we’ll cut them some slack on the hopes that this one is easily rectified. We’ll be back.

Fantastic vegetarian and vegan options

By Rav S |

Great vegetarian and vegan options - tasted great. Had one slice and went back for a second. Great to see so many non meat options on the menu. Didn’t like the garlics white slice and preferred the traditional with tomatoes. If you get a drink ask for less ice, also minimum of $10 before you can use card.

Very good pizza. Heavy Parmesan flavor on pizza.

By meworldtraveller |

This pizza was great! It’s heavy on the Parmesan flavor so slightly different than other nyc slices. The slices are very large as well. Definitely worth the try if you are in nyc. It’s close to Penn station.

Definitely a let down.

By Phil P |

I was really looking forward to getting a couple great slices here with my family. Seeing all the pictures of celebrities, including Anthony Bourdain, I thought it would be real, fantastic New York pizza. But we were definitely let down. you can tell it had the potential though. The slice I got was actually burned on the bottom. Not charred, like a good pizza oven will do, but burned. Way too much cheese and and overly sweet sauce. People were friendly. But I would pass.

Great shop

By Jeff W |

They had about 20 different pizzas to get a slice from. We got fra diavolo, margherita, and white with ricotta slices. They were perfect in all the right ways. Counter service was excellent and the guy in the dining room was full service if you want to get waited on. This is a great pizza shop even for NYC.

Amazing pizzeria!!!!!

By Mauro S |

Do you want to feel at home?! eat real Italian pizza in New York?! Simply "Pizza Suprema", after 10 days of overnight stay and various attempts to eat Italian cuisine this evening I finally felt at home. A supreme pizza, Antonio the pizza chef, naturally Italian, creates amazing pizzas with excellent taste and above all true Italian pizzas and not "Americanized". Nothing to add if you are tourists, workers or have decided to move to the Big Apple, but want to have a little piece of Italian style here in New York, I highly recommend it.

Next level 🍕

By Jaimechiara |

This place is a nyc landmark, family owned and operated since the 1960s. The pizza is simply the BEST in Manhattan and the best I have ever had! Eating Suprema pizza you immediately taste the high quality imported ingredients used in every slice. authentic taste of Italy 🇮🇹 for sure 👌🏼

This is NY Pizza

By laguna5243 |

So good and true to NY Pizza that in the thee days we were in the city we went there twice. A ton of selections if you just want a slice, including some that you've probably never seen. The crust was perfect and the red sauce had a great flavor. It quickly became the Pizza place that I would send anyone to if they wanted a true NY Pizza.

Decent but far cry from the best

By Burlingtonite |

Pizza was reasonably priced at $5 per generously sized slice of plain. Old school pizza joint. There is definitely better pizza elsewhere.

Great pizzeria mid Manhattan

By seema60 |

I love this pizza restaurant in front of Madison Square Garden. I enjoy the pepperoni pizza and the slice of supreme pizza

20 + options including vegetarian and vegan

By Rob W |

Great pizza at a great price. I got two pieces of the suprema which was $6 per slice. Most of the pizzas appeared to be around this price, there were a couple slightly more expensive. What I also liked about the price was that it already included tax, so you know exactly what it is going to cost you when you order. Pieces are big, very big. You won't need more than 1 or 2 depending on how hungry you are. There can be a line to get served, don't be put off by it. The line moves very quickly and you will get served pretty quick. Definitely the place to go for great value authentic New York style pizza. It is conveniently located on 8th Ave just across the road and a bit down from Madison Square Garden.

Best pizza ever!

By LPHDK |

Best pizza ever! We went here first time on a visit a few years ago and we have never been disappointed! The pizza might be on the expensive side with 6 usd for a slice, but it is worth it! The crust, the sauce and the toppings are just good! Even at home I can’t make it this good.

Amazing pizza. Very fresh

By guillermomZ8284JK |

Amazing pizza. Very fresh and truly a NYC local pizza. Their selection is really good and their service is very fast

Classic NY Pizza

By Eva-Edith |

NY Pizza Suprema is a reliable spot for a classic New York style slice. With a wide selection of pizzas by the slice, it’s smart to check the options before stepping in, lines move fast. The pizza is large, flavorful, and perfectly foldable. It’s an old school joint with clean seating in the back and super friendly, fast service. No frills, just good pizza.

I liked the sicilian pizza

By IndyKevin317 |

We sought out NY Pizza Suprema solely based on the reviews and to be honest we weren't disappointed. We eat so much pizza when we are in New York that we try not to eat a lot in one place because we may get a few blocks down the street an want to try another place. In this case we liked it so much that we had to go back up and get another slice! I would definitely go back if I was near MSG. We talked to people who come them whenever they are visiting MSG. The place was very busy and the pizza was very fresh.

Delicious and Easy! Best slice in NYC!!

By RockPadula |

Absolute great place for pizza in NYC, conveniently located. Give it a try! We did and have been back 4 times in three weeks. Excellent taste, crust, service.

A Tasty Slice of Pizza

By do_the_freddy |

This review happened in June 2024. My wife and I were on vacation in New York, and we had to try a slice of New York Pizza. We looked up pizza location close to our hotel and found NY Pizza Suprema. We walked over and it was easy to find. The first thing we noticed is they have so many different types of pizzas hot and ready to serve. They all looked so yummy. It was hard to choose. My wife and I both selected the Suprema Pizza. It tasted so good. you can taste the freshness of the sauce and veggies. The pepperoni and Italian sausage also tasted great. We both added some crushed pepper and herbs. The staff was friendly, and the location is in a good spot. The location looks like what you think of a New York pizza spot. The pizza tasted great, and we will definitely come here again. We recommend that you visit this location when in New York. You won't be disappointed.

A supreme surprise

By Giuseppe B |

Excellent choice of pizzas. In Italy I found many pizzerias with worse service and poorer quality pizzas. Passed with full marks

Excellence

By S. C |

The pizza is large and excellent! I would highly recommend stopping by. Have a vaccination card to dine in. I love that!!

The GOAT!

By CafPowKid |

Had heard this was the best pizza spot in town and it really is! Friendly staff and the greatest pizza ever! Beautiful crust, no flop, beautifully seasoned, great ingredients, a little pricier than some spots but absolutely worth it!

Pizza and a Knicks game, don’t mind if I do 🍕🏀

By DAROHATH |

Really tasty pizza adjacent to Madison Square Garden. Between us, we tried a few different slices, all were tasty and I’d definitely go again when next visiting the Garden

Absolutely Amazing Pizza

By Dimitrios K |

Absolutely amazing pizza. We had the NY Pizza, and it was just simply one of the best we have ever had. After a day in NY where we had walked 12 miles by that point, this pizza was a Godsent. Great service, the pizza pie was at out table within minutes of ordering. Afterwards, my wife insisting in walking back to the hotel which was 0.75 miles away, as we just had a whole pie. We kept talking about the pizza till we got back. Thank you for making pizza and Just PIZZA.

Good pizza except for service

By seema60 |

I love going to eat at this pizzeria. The pizza is always good. It’s always packed. This time, my daughter had a strange experience with her pizza. She is lactose intolerant so she orders vegan with pepperoni on top. This time the server started yelling at her and it was really upsetting.

Flipping amazing!

By Cam |

I was after an authentic NY pizza experience; and this was it. Not an overpriced/undernice thing you see in a lot of the tourist traps, this was delicious! The fig pizza was out of this world delicious

Best Pizza in the USA.

By Dan G |

I reside in a southern state, I do not eat Pizza anywhere else in the USA, When I get to NYC I go to Pizza Supema and kill a whole pie on my own. It's the best pizza in the USA. If you are in the city and have a flavor for pizza then go to Pizza Suprema.

If that is the best pizza in the world, then i am Santa Claus

By aris121 |

The place is dirty. I do appreciate that there are a lot of people coming and going but there is no real effort to keep it tidy. Ordering your food is a straightforward experience. I don’t understand the 5 star ratings. The pizza is ok. Nothing but nothing wow, just a pizzeria with average food good to eat on the go. My slice of burrata pizza had burned base. The way it was described to me was: pizza heaven….pizza indifference I would call it…

Unforgettable experience

By RenatoMontagnini |

Indispensable for those who like American pizza, simple place but with super gentle and attentive staff. Honest prices.

The best pizza in NYC

By Federico Morucci |

Discovery through trip advisor. The property is Italian and that evening we met the owner who was very kind. The pizza is good and the prices honest. Tipping is not “mandatory” but is welcome.

Best pizza in the area, if not the whole of NYC

By Denyse |

I managed to arrive when there were only a few people ahead of me. Fifteen minutes later they were queued out the door! pizzas were crispy, thin as `i like them with tasty toppings. what more could you ask for?

A surprise in New York

By Stefano R |

Che dire…mangiata una volta non ne puoi fare senza!! Veramente buona! Local no frills but if you are looking for something good this is the right place!!

Good NY East Coast Pizza!

By graceotravels |

East Coast NY Pizza -- it was good, but didn't live up to my expectations...probably because the hype was so high! Lots of great options though and certainly worth the visit!

A basic classic slice

By SharpandSound |

Visited as a walk in - close to Penn station and MSG. I easily walked to the restaurant from my nearby hotel. I was greeted immediately by lively staff. The menu has several different types of pizza you can purchase by the slice or whole. I had a pepperoni slice which was large and filling. I would consider it a classic slice (large had a lot of oil but tasted great). I dined in and the restaurant dining room is quaint but there were plentiful open seats and booths as I visited during early afternoon on a weekday. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was prompt in cleaning tables and clearing any trash and food debris. $

Pop in for a quick delicious slice

By Ashley O |

Popped in for a quick slice. Classic pepperoni. Crust was thin and crispy yet still floppy. Sauce had a great fresh flavor. Just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. Service was quick and friendly. Wide selection of toppings. Small dining area with booths to sit inside. There is a $10 minimum on credit card purchases.

American-style pizza

By Giannibrida |

American-style pizza of above-average quality and you can understand it from the look. Flavored the dressing and dough. Good but obviously not at the level of Neapolitan pizza.

Pizza

By CHERYL M |

Pizza was to go and even though we were nearby it was cold. Good flavors and serving size but check your box before leaving to make sure it’s hot!

No better than average

By crispyromaine |

No better than average, but that’s compared to Italian pizza. This is old school NYC pizza. Hard crust. Bitter sauce. Etc.

Great as advertised

By kmrt1957 |

We saw this restaurant on the Today Show so we thought that we would try it out. We weren't really hungry but we were in the neighborhood. We ate every bite. Great New York Pizza. My wife had Sicilian and I had one of the specialty pizzas. Both were outstanding

The real deal

By Jeffrey M |

Without a doubt one of the best slices in the city . It’s my go to place every time I go to NYC. They always have a large variety to choose from as well

Recommended Pizzeria in Midtown Manhattan

By Waltersen |

We are staying at a hotel on 29th Street. I found it on Tripadvisor. The service is nice and friendly. You can eat there, to go also. The pieces are big and taste delicious. The selection is also good. There's nothing wrong here.

Excellent pizzeria opposite Penn station

By seema60 |

I visited this pizzeria for the second time as my husband and I had loved the pizza slices the first time. It’s equally good even now. Service is fast and I was able to get a booth to myself to eat my lunch. I would ask the server to heat the slices more the next time.

Nice pizza in a great place

By oztraveller050 |

Very nice pizza and a really good choice. Everything looked tasty. Super convenient if you are visiting Madison Square Garden

Great pre-hockey game meal - go early!

By Wetherstone P |

Recommended by a family member as the best pizza in NYC, we went with our grandsons & their parents before a hockey game (The Gardens is just across the street). Got there early (around 5) and it was already busy and got more so by the time we were seated and eating. They have so many varieties it is hard to choose. We each got two slices - one familiar and the second "new". The slices are reheated and served quite quickly. Booth seating is limited but we lucked out as people were just leaving. The fig pizza was excellent. Slices are large so the boys didn't eat all of theirs. The crust was nice and tender - I even ate all of it!

BEST PIZZA IN NYC!! it was

By Arianna C |

BEST PIZZA IN NYC!! it was the only place worth visiting more than once! Tons of places to sit and definitely better pizza!

Since 1964

By Stan Tecza |

NY Supreme slice, gold medal and margerita all solid. Liked them all differently. Very thin crust. 8th Ave since 1964.

Great pizza at a great price!

By NashvilleTNGuy |

Sure there are pizza joints all over the city. This one is one of the GREAT ones! Simple to order, simple to pay, simple seating. A+ pizza in NYC!

Great service, Great Food!!

By Diana Sifuna |

Great service! Very fast.... Lol.... Queue moved along really quickly. My first NY pizza experience and it was delicious... Had the spinach pizza and the cheese was dripping. We also had the buffalo pizza (Advise- this was hot - like spicy hot!) Great NY Food experience. Grazie

Ever had pizza that blew you mind?!

By HPotter8 |

Don't be skeptical about its touristy location across the street from Madison Square Garden! This is some of the best pizza I have ever tasted! It's consistently rated amongst the top pizza joints across NYC by multiple other websites- for good reason. Go with family or a group of friends so that you can each order one or more of the myriad of different types of scrumptious pizza they serve by the slice and share. They even have several delicious Vegan versions.

Loved the fig!

By melanie |

Loved the pizza here! We tried the bbq, pepperoni & fig! The fig was definitely my favorite! This was our first taste of true NY style pizza & we were not disappointed!

Must try if ya have one pizza experience

By Nat C |

Friendly service. Fast food. Too many options to try! Excellent NY style pizza! The cheese is good but the fig and spinach are where it is at!

Wow buffalo chicken pizza was the best ever!

By CWM8 |

Amazing pizza place, fast service, great value and the buffalo chicken pizza was wow . High recommend

Good and digestible American pizza.

By LoProvo |

The restaurant is typical American with a choice of flavors at the counter and tables for consuming food. The pizza is low and very digestible with good ingredients. Be careful, the pizza they call margherita is not our Margherita. If you want the margherita you have to order the “simple” pizza. Recommended for Italians looking for pizza in New York.

Still Dreaming About This Pizza

By Melissa |

This pizza is a must try. Our first visit was so good we returned for a second even though we were only in town a couple days! The place was packed both times, but they run an efficient operation so wait times were reasonable and we found seating easily also. Super delicious!

Pizza Pizza

By 6happyhikers |

This was our first stop upon arriving in NYC. There was zero wait and we found a table easily. Glad we stopped. Pizza was yummy and staff was great.

Look no further for the best slice in NYC

By Priyesh M |

Love this place. Always so busy and it’s obvious why. The pizza was so good we came back multiple times in our short few days in NYC. Plenty of choice too, which can be overwhelming, but we don’t you can go wrong whatever you pick. Everyone’s so lovely behind the counter too. Our only regret is that we’re not around longer to try some other toppings.

The best.

By Sylvia M |

Amazing pizza. So good we ordered twice in the 4 days we were in NYC. The best pizza I have ever eaten. We had this delivered to our hotel. Plain cheese (like Kevin in Home Alone) sooo good.

Unmissable and delicious pizzas!

By Beachben63 |

Opposite Madison Square Garden, this pizzeria is a must. Big crowd, but it's not for nothing. Great choice of pizza and they are excellent. Unbeatable quality/price ratio. Even though there is a big queue, the service is fast. New Yorkers don't really eat indoors, there's always room at the back of the room.

Tasty and mouthwatering pizzas

By Prasanna S |

bit costlier pizza prices I guess but looks like an iconic outlet.. ambiance is nice and cozy.. I tried the meat lovers pizza and a pepperoni pizza and loved the taste of both.. worth a visit and the outlet was buzzing with people even when the temp outside was freezing cold.

THE Place For Vegan Pizza In NYC

By AVeganVisit |

These guys make a seriously good pizza! Sold in slices or by the pie, there are around 6 different vegan options (as well as many non-vegan) including margherita with the most divine tomato sauce on it and white pizza with two types of vegan cheese and garlic. It’s a fast casual style restaurant with some seating indoors. If you’re looking for pizza in midtown, vegan or not, you should try NY Pizza Suprema. They’re easy to find, just down from Penn Station. I would have given them 5 stars if there had been a few more smiles from the staff and a couple of vegan extras for the pizza such as vegan sausage slices. Highly recommend though!

NYC pizza at its best

By Jkalss |

Yep, go and visit this pizza eatery, while on holidays in NYC I visited this eatery twice and was not disappointed. You can tell it’s a great place by the amount of people waiting to be served especially when they are the locals. We were pleased we waited and the pizza was spectacular, true American pizza. Go and experience a slice of NYC pizza for yourself

Delicious Pizza

By David A |

One of the best pizza places in NY City. We go here every time we visit. Perfect crust, perfect sauce and great toppings. Super fast service as well. You better know what you're ordering so folks don't get annoyed at you for taking too long!

Best Pizza ever!!!

By Joshua Berkovitz |

Wow… what a selection of wonderful pizzas. You name it… it will be there!! Large portions of delicious freshly baked pizza. I counted over 25 variations!!!! This place is a true gem. Must stop and enjoy some of the super delicious food.

Hard Pizza

By sheri d |

The pizza was reheated and hard/burned. I had the buffalo chicken pizza, had little flavor. Other's pizza looked fine, tried a taste of pepperoni, that was good.

Great pizza, no messing about

By vickylarmour |

Great pizza, no messing about. Choose by the slice (one slice is enough, or two if you're feeling hungry) - every topping we tried was good - or buy a whole pizza for a group. Basic selection of drinks available.

Possibly the best pizza I have ever had

By lauriehale |

Cannot recommend this place more. This may well be the best pizza I have ever had. I had the sausage, and chicken ranch melt. My partner had the buffalo chicken and a pepperoni pie slice. The quality and flavour of the ingredients really comes through. Staff were lovely and very patient with our indecisiveness looking at their selection. We had pizza 3 times in our trip to NYC including at one other famous establishment. And this was hands down the best we had whilst here

Delicious Pizza!!!1

By Shantamr36 |

Great Pizza, Great Location, Great Staff! As a first timer I am very well pleased with this pizza spot. The line was outside when I arrived but it moved very quickly. A variety of pizzas were displayed for your viewing pleasure. You can dine in get it boxed up to do. You can also dine-in. I enjoyed it. Close to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

Perfect crust

By mauiwolf |

I wanted a real New York pizza slice and heard this was a good spot. Boy was it. The crust had a wonderful crispness to it that was unmatched. The pizza flavor was great. My only complaint is I felt it cost more than it should. But it tasted great, so I didn’t care.

Delicious pizza!

By hitthehighway |

Second visit here, it did not disappoint. Love their pizza! So many choices, but a plain slice was hot and crispy and a favorite of our grandkids. As I write this, I would love a slice of it! Prices are very reasonable for great pizza.

Good choice!

By ILoveTexas |

We stopped here for lunch while in the area visiting Macy’s and B & H Photo. Very good, long-established, authentic NY pizza, by the slice or by the pie. Staff was friendly and helpful.

A perfect slice of NYC

By BCShel |

Just WOW, this was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. My daughter is vegan, I’m dairy free and my husband is a carnivore, they had something for all of us. The vegan Alfredo pizza BLEW my mind. This was my husbands first trip to NYC & I guarantee we will be back just for this pizza. Super friendly staff, clean and delicious.

Great pizza

By Georgie K |

Great for a quick stopover and so close to MSG. World recommend the fig and goats cheese slice, fresh and delicious.

Great stop-in pizza place by the slice

By Don Hummer Jr |

I stopped here as I'm staying at the Hilton Garden's right down the street as most places closed by 10pm (this is open to Midnight). It was an easy walk, and when I walked in there was a line of about 4 people ahead of me - no big deal. The individual who took my order was friendly, took about 5 minutes to heat pizza in pizza oven, and then sat down and watched the place fill up with people! The price was very reasonable and definitely will come back the next time I'm in NYC looking for some amazing pizza.

Yummy pizza not to be missed

By GC1Scotland |

What a fantastic little place just on 8th Avenue, lots to choose from and so tasty! Authentic and great value, we were really impressed.

Fig Pizza

By Stan Tecza |

I’m a huge fan of NY Pizza Suprema. I have been here countless times but the lady that took my order clearly just made up the price for my pizza. $47 for half for/half plain pizza is too expensive. I got the impression she made up the price because she mumbled something about needing to ask the price but then proceeded to ring up $47. $47 is too expensive when a full fig pie costs $43 according to their online menu. Again, I love this place but not a good experience today. Pie tasted good but wrong price left a bad taste in my mouth.

Good Pizza

By Christina K |

Stopped in here for a few slices to take back to the hotel for dinner. Variety of options to choose from, quick service, pizza stated hot for the walk back to the room. No complaints.

great to take away pizza

By rlahuddin |

this restaurant is right next to the bus terminal where I was waiting for the flixbus. because the flixbus ride reached 8 hours, I finally decided to buy pizza for lunch on the trip. The pizza is delicious and at an affordable price. the place to eat is quite narrow but the queue is quite large so sometimes visitors have to queue until they leave the restaurant. The pizza variants are too many, so I'm confused which one to choose, but my advice is to choose the one with a small number of pieces because that's definitely what a lot of people like

Overpriced yet good

By GiacomoG |

Overpriced indeed, but here you can have some quite tasty pizza. I had one slice of mushroom and one of fig

$6.00 for a slice of pizza - yes, and it is worth it

By Chuckles |

A friend told us about this unassuming Formica booth restaurant a few years ago, and we return whenever we are in NYC. When mid-town pizza joints offer a slice for 99 cents or $1.00, is it worth it to pay $5.00 or $6.00 as slice here? It is. We are not sure if it is the flour for the dough, the water in the dough, the way it is hand tossed, but whatever, the crust and the toppings are unique and superb. The large pies for slices are pre-baked so that when a slice is ordered, it is put in the oven for just long enough to crisp the bottom and heat the toppings. Out favorites are the spinach dip (with a special white sauce and much cheese) and the Neapolitan. All are good. Seating is limited. The staff (while rushed) is friendly..

Just go! You will not regret it!!

By Mark N |

First time to NYC. Several of our friends pointed us here, & I'm so glad they did! We didn't want every dinner to be expensive & had to check out authentic New York pizza.... we liked it so much we ate here twice the week we were here! Fantastic pizza, quick service.. all in all, amazing choice!

Pizza & Fish

By Stan Tecza |

Grabbed a Hawaiian slice and a chicken bacon ranch l. Hit sea breeze fish store nearby and got stuffed salmon, stuffed sole and more.

Great Value and Great food

By Alexis |

I had 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and the flavor was immaculate, with good value at $5 a slice. I can't wait to go back on my next trip to NYC

Yummy introduction to nyc

By Gina C |

We had pizza delivered on our first night in nyc and it was delicious. The pies were huge! We ordered 2 for the four of us but could have gotten away with just one. The chicken parm was quite delicious.

Yum yum yum

Spectacular pizza slices!!! Was recommended to go here and passing on would high recommend a visit! We went a couple of times and loved it!!
