Roast duck and dim sum are supreme

By tlc248 |

The top dim sum and Chinese BBQ restaurant in Asian town just 2 miles from the strip on Spring Mountain Road. High quality food and fast service. Parking is limited but just go to the next parking lot.

Seafood -live Seafood at its best.

By Anthony 2019 |

This place is just insanely good. Live fish, shellfish and eels that they pull out of their holding tanks and cook it as you wait. Extremely reasonable for the experience. We have a live 9 lbs King Crab, cooked 3 different way, just amazing. A must do for seafood lovers.

Excellence dim sum and servoce

By Winnie T |

Dim sum were delicious, shrimp har Gau were really good and the shrimps were fresh and not mushy. Carts brought around the dim sum. Service was excellent and courteous. Once we told the server what we wanted the waiter showed up instantly to take our order from the menu. The restrooms were the cleanest. We arrived at 11:30am for lunch because it can get crowded later. A very enjoyable lunch!

First Time in China Town. Loved It!!!

By yoyomousa |

I had never been to the China Town district before, even though I have lived here for years. We went for Dim Sum and it was amazing, I even tried chicken feet, which BTW is like pork belly fat in consistency 😀. The service is fast and furious, it can be overwhelming but stick with it and just try as much as you can. The place gets packed out so I recommend getting there at 10:30 at the latest. They also do a fantastic full duck meal with all the trimmings. It’s amazingly cheap for what you get and the dumplings are just so tasty.

Lunch

We usually visit the other restaurant for barbecue and noodles. This one serves dim sum, barbecue and has a regular menu but not the wanton noodles. We visited on a weekday for lunch and it was crowded. Had the roast duck and several dim sum dishes. The duck is supposed to be the best in the area but we had better elsewhere like Phoenix restaurant in Chicago Chinatown. Good variety in the dim sum, just ok. Service was good.

Fair prices, big portions and good service.

Although many rightfully gravitate to Las Vegas Boulevard for all it offers, some argue that Sin City’s most prized possession is its 4ish miles of West Spring Mountain Road entailing Chinatown, and on Saturday evening as a group of nine New Asian BBQ Tan Tung Ky added evidence in support of that claim. Now a fixture of the stripmall between Lindell and Decatur since June of 2018, and per banners inside the “#10 Chinese Restaurant in America” according to A Bite of America, it is after securing parking in a busy private lot that guests find themselves in a foyer flanked by Pig, Duck and kitchen, the dining area from here expanding right across two sizable rooms. A sister Restaurant of Asian BBQ & Noodle on Jones, the longtime favorite more than quadrupling its offerings inside a fancier space at 5150 Spring Mountain, it is seated at tables clad in white cloths that diners are invited to explore sixteen pages of items, and for those in the know a two-sided laminate is also available featuring more traditional dishes such as Congee. Not an easy menu to navigate, though well-translated to English with plenty of pictures steering guests towards house favorites, it is while deciding that complimentary Tea and Water are poured, both refreshed frequently without reminder and first evidence of customer service that far outpaces other nearby eateries. Eventually choosing ten items, a pre-tip total of approximately $20 per adult seeing everyone well-sated ninety minutes later, it was as items were readied that a steady stream of plates were presented, “House Soup” offered free-of-charge a fairly benign beginning before continuing with chilled Five Spice Beef Shank that eats something like Headcheese slicked in Sugar and Soy. Visibly the only predominantly Caucasian table at New Asian BBQ on this particular evening, but certainly not sticking to “safe” choices, follow-up plates included both Preserved Egg Porridge and cubes of gently fried Tofu, each big in portion but not in price while Pan Fried Noodles with Beef in Black Bean Sauce offered easily enough to feed two hungry adults for $13. Continuing with rarely seen Pork Intestine, the expected funkiness unhidden but mellowed by frying, more big flavors followed with Chicken stewed in Ginger Wine with Black Fungus and Fried Rice bolstered by dried Fish and Pork, the former a very developed flavor quite different from anything experienced prior thanks to an aromatic linger and a slight bitterness mid-palate. Saving signatures carried over from Asian BBQ & Noodle until the end, both Pork and Duck offered in several styles including tableside carving at half the price one will find on The Strip, only Vegetarians or those eschewing Swine for religious purposes should pass up Roasted Pork Belly with shattering Skin, though the Char Siu is also succulent and enough to share for about $9 a pound. Happy enough with the Duck, though some bits were a bit overcooked and tough, it was in the affirmative that “Do you want House Dessert” was answered, a final parting gift of White Mushrooms with Mango in Syrup far better than it sounds, with the Fungus nearly crystal-clear and texturally like gelatin. FOUR STARS: Owned by the folks behind Asian BBQ & Noodle on Jones, New Asian BBQ Tan Tung Ky fills a sizable space with extensive options, great service and little extras that outpace much of the nearby competition without an increase in price.

Amazing Food - Good Value

Awesome food at this place and price is so affordable. I highly recommend getting together at this restaurant for big groups. Place is very casual and service is fast.

Highly recommend if you want delicious, authentic Chinese food

By Janet R |

When I heard that Asian BBQ and Noodle had a new restaurant, I knew I had to come check it out w/ the family. It's located across the street from SF market on Spring Mountain and Decatur. Parking was easy, although it was starting to get packed! There are also tasty restaurants and things to do nearby. Just like the original restaurant, all dishes are made fresh daily. However, this place is much bigger and they accept card. The other location is cash only. Service is the same as expected for a Chinese restaurant like this. I always come w/ my husband who's speaks cantonese so they'll treat us slightly better and there isn't a language barrier. I recommend reading the menu and naming the numbered item you want. The Food always comes out hot and fresh. There's so many yummy dishes here!! We always get the following: 1. Roast Duck: BEST DUCK IN VEGAS!!! They run out of the duck quickly on busy days. The skin is crispy and fatty, the middle is juicy, tender and tasty! It's so good. You can eat it by itself or dip it in the sauce it comes with. You can get a whole duck to take home as well. 2. Pork Belly: I've only had bad pork belly here once. Every other time it was tasty and on point. 3. Combination fried rice: can't go wrong w/ any of the fried rice dishes here. 4. Snow pea leaves vegetable 5. Steamed chicken This place is more expensive! At least 2-3 bucks more than the original spot. A meal for 4 people came out to $120 with tip and tax. Of course, all larger dishes are big enough to share family style. I hear they offer dim sum, which I have not tried yet. Overall, I love this place! Highly recommend if you want delicious, authentic Chinese food Happy Dining, JT

Overpriced for typical Chinese food

By CarterL |

Honestly the food quality was not worthy of the prices they charge. I will break it down...an order of shui mai is 6.75. Please put that into perspective. Most of the dishes and entrees we ordered could never commandeer a justifiable reason in such exorbitant prices. Albeit the food was average and typical. For these prices I recommend trying the dim sum at Bellagio or any other hotel because atleast you would have far better service and cleanliness. 1st and last time I ever dine here.

Authenic Cantonese food

By Tom Y |

This is one of the best cantonese restaurant in Vegas. We had steam fish and roast duck and other dishes. The roast duck is not as good as the ones at BBQ King. Theirs taste better. The price is more expensive than other restaurants. For example vegetable and dry fish is $17. Most of the dishes are around $20 and up.

Good food. Terrible service.

By camoazn |

Went with some friends who are in the military for dinner this evening. We ordered the food and it was good. My friends never had this type of cuisine before so we decided to give it a try. We sat down and waited for the server to come. The server didn't come til about 10-15 minutes after I tried to get someone's attention to have someone serve us. The server only took some of the drinks and took even longer to get the server's attention to get our food order. We finally got our food and had it served in a decent amount of time and waited longer to try to order for dessert. The restaurant wasn't even that busy but the server had paid attention to the other tables rather than ours. This is a group of mixed races via asian, hispanic, and white. When we placed the order for dessert, the server said it wasn't enough orders to have everyone try that dessert. I got tired of it and wanted the check I don't know what the problem is but that server needs to be talked to or fired. Good food. Terrible service.

Traditional Chinese Dim Sum, duck and crispy pork belly.

By LeadReviewerTAG |

This is a traditional Chinese restaurant. It's noisy. There's carts everywhere. There's people eating everywhere. There is meat hanging in the window. Ducks in the window. Everyone has a very heavy Chinese accent. And the food is so freaking good, It's crazy. The dim sum was out of sight. Duck was delicious. The crispy pork belly was some of the I've had since Chinatown in New York City. Please, if you really want traditional Chinese, this is the place.

One of better Dim Sum (yam cha) places in Las Vegas

By Charles L |

New Asian BBQ restaurant features standard Chinese menu items that you can order from the menu, as well as Dim Sum which comes around in carts. They have live seafood tanks in the dinning room and you can pick from that & made to order. My friends and I had Dim Sum, plus BBQ half duck. Duck was succulent, tasted very good. Dim Sum items was also great. The place was packed but the service was attentive and quick. They had floor supervisors touching tables to make sure everything is taken care off which we don't see much of that in Chinese places and even in some other non-Chinese restaurant in Vegas. So we were impressed with that. The prices are very reasonable and I recommend New Asian BBQ if you're hungry for some Dim Sum and or other Chinese dishes for reasonable prices.

Among the very best

Among the very best in the world for timsum. Excellent service. Great food. Except limited parking. Otherwise thumb’s up.

Roast Duck and BBQ Pork

By Dee |

We ordered Roast Duck and BBQ pork, the food was good but not as good as the food at the other Tung Ky place on Jones where we came back 3 more times during our short staying in Las Vegas

Great Chinese restaurant

By Linda L |

Only three of us came to this restaurant. We ordered freshwater crab, which is a kind of salute, and we could not finish it. The vegetables were well, but they still needed more garlic. The BBQ pork and duck were very religious. They gave us the free soup, which was so tasty. The server was friendly, too.

Great dim sum and Chinese BBQ

By Traveler65 |

We were looking for a dim sum restaurant we haven’t tried (instead of always going to the same two or three every time we visit) and came across this. Food and service were both excellent. Wide selection of traditional dim sums and roast meats, everything we tried was good! Will come back to try the items we couldn’t stuff in this time.

Now open for Dim Sum

By foodtaster168 |

They have added Dim Sum at the end of Nov. We tried this month. They are so good in reasonable price that my guests have enjoyed a lot.

SCAM

By Journey427525 |

This restaurant is a big scam, I ordered a live 2 lb. Coby fish for my dinner, they swapped with a smaller frozen Coby fish, which was 80% cheaper than the live one. IF YOU WANT TO GET SCAM FEEL FREE TO BE A SUCKER. Stay out of this restaurant there are many better choices in Las Vegas china town.

I will never come back here again. For those of you did not realize your "number" for the table means absolutely nothing

By NetballViv |

I came to this restaurant today and left without eating. For those of you that do not know or understand the language, the number they give you for the table means absolutely nothing if the regulars come after you. I understand that there are some Chinese restaurants do that. They give preferential treatments to their regular customers. However, your wait is infinite if the regulars keep coming and they keep giving the available tables to their regulars ahead of you. This was the case of mine today. I observed one of the families had a number ahead of me, waiting for a while and left(They probably saw what I saw). Then as I was waiting, I realized a family of three came and spoke to the waitress, then immediately sat down right away. I thought that was blatant. Then a couple came after also speaking to the waitress and sat down right away. It takes someone like myself who knows about this common practice among Chinese restaurant and understand the language to know. If you walk in thinking that you are waiting for a table according to the number, you are mistaken. After witnessing a few families going ahead of us, I have decided to leave and never come back again. My main purpose of this review is to let people aware of this before they go to this restaurant. If you did not pay attention and did not understand the language, you might not realize this was happening while you "think" you are waiting for a table.

Great place for dim sum

By Bailey55 |

This is a great place to have dim sum. The staff wheel carts around with all the food items. You get to see what each items if you're not familiar with dim sum items. The restaurant and restroom are quite clean and modern. There's pictures around the parking lot and in the restaurant showing a picture of someone smashing a car window. This is deter crime in the area. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dim sum.

Great Peking Duck!!!

By Norval C |

We had a great meal. The Peking Duck was delicious. Service was great and the price was reasonable considering that we had their famous Peking Duck.

Great Dim Sum

By sharrongeg |

Met a friend here for a dim sum lunch. This is a very busy (and fairly noisy) restaurant full of families with kids. Servers race around with seeming abandon. One server brought us tea and then another server brought us another pot. We ordered one order of steamed broccolini…and received two. Prices were higher than I anticipated, but food is as fresh as can be. Lunch for two gals was $51.

Fast, Tasty.

By 5flower |

Two words that described this restaurant -- fast, tasty. The tim sum cart came by very fast as soon as we sat down. But we did not feel being hurried. The tim sum was tasty, better than the other restaurants we tried during our short visit to LV. Definitely recommended this restaurant, and will hopefully return soon.

Dimsum

By Rolly T |

Went for dimsum and it didn't disappoint. Same selections as Orchid garden. You know it's authentic Chinese food when you walk in and you see duck and pork belly hanging. Their crispy pork belly tasted delicious and great flavoring - crispy skin!!! Service needs to step up a bit but it's a typical Chinese restaurant. Definitely will come back and try the regular menu. FYI. Dimsum is from 10 am to 3 pm.

Repeat visit

By wanderer115 |

The decor of the place is fine. The service is good. The food is very good to excellent. The only downside is that there is not enough parking

a great dinning experience for our 1st meal in Vegas

By Philip F |

A well known Chineses restaurant that specialize BBQ & Cantonese cuisine, for dinner everyone get a house special soup to start. I highly recommend their roast duck & BBQ pork. The other seafood dishes were also delicious. For brunch they served dim-sum but make sure get there early otherwise the wait will be long.

Delicious Peking Duck in Cantonese Restaurant

By foodtaster168 |

Asian BBQ/Seafood restaurant on 5150 Spring Mtn Rd in Chinatown, is a place worth to visit. My family and guests from LA and Seattle think the food is delicious, the price is right and BBQ appetizers are so yummy !! Peking duck, prepared in 3 ways dishes, from a special cooking device, you really want to order. It is compatible to Peking Duck specialty restaurant in Beijing. Many choices of Cantonese, Spicy Mandarin dishes and fresh seafood in water tank are served.

Great Food, Fast Service

By expatchef |

We had a large group of 17. We got seated promptly, not all together, due to space constraints. We ordered the pork belly, roasted duck, pig tripe, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, wonton soup, duck noodle soup, hot tea, fried rice, and heaven knows what else, but it was brought out fast, hot, and quickly, no one left hungry. Cash only. No credit.

Great dim sum and BBQ food

By Bernard P |

Ate there for first time while visiting Vegas by googling Chinese bbq and reading the reviews. Had the BBQ soy chicken and duck plus dimsum. Delicious compared to NY and San Francisco Chinese food without paying the high prices there.

Relatively New Restaurant

By Anthony |

This restaurant seems to have the same owner as Asian BBQ, though this is a full service Chinese restaurant unlike Asian BBQ. Being relatively new, things were still nice and shiny and the restrooms were clean. Our dinner tasted reasonably well and the dishes were reasonably sized and reasonably priced.

Good Food at Reasonable Price

By chanyu1 |

We tried this restaurant located across from the Chinatown on Spring Mountain Road both for dim sum and dinner. Firstly, their dim sum is very passable with very reasonable pricing at an average of $5-$6 per dish. The service is adequate for a dim sum house but could get pushy as the waiters/waitresses try to sell the dim sum off their rolling carts. If you get there past the peak dim sum time, you must order your dim sum instead of getting it off the push carts. As for the dinner, bear in mind that this is not a plush place but rather an average Chinese restaurant, so don't expect excellent service. This is not to say their service is bad but it is very average. The dinner dishes were all very good as we tried their roast duck, sauteed morning glory vegetable, fried rice and a sweet & sour pork dish. The portions are pretty big so you should watch what you're ordering or else you'll end up with a lot of left overs. Overall, a good place to get some good Cantonese Chinese food for a reasonable price...

I'm reviewing strictly on the Dim Sum lunch experience...they're a-ok with me..

By Steff A |

I'm reviewing strictly on the Dim Sum lunch experience...they're a-ok with me.. Service & Ambiance: Party of 5 were seated rather quickly during a very busy lunch rush. The Dim Sum carts were in full effect and the staff did a decent job of getting around a very big multiple room dining area. If you wanted a refill on your drink, you had to wave down a waiter but they came over almost immediately. We sat in the dining area where the entrance is located ( there's an additional dining area in the the back) and it's very spacious with very tall ceilings like you'd see at a furniture store. They pushed together as many round tables together so it's going to be a little noisy and the Dim Sum carts will barely get through. The tables are very spacious and can handle lots of dim sum plates. Chinese murals and decor adorn the walls. We ordered our normal dim sum dishes: Steamed pork buns, shrimp and beef noodle rolls, pork siu mai, shrimp dumplings, Chinese broccoli, egg tarts, etc. Everything we ordered was prepped well and definitely fresh out of the kitchen. Additionally, we ordered the duck plate and that was very tasty. It's a dish I would order on non-Dim Sum visits. Overall the Dim Sum experience was pretty good. Their price for the quality and selections is what you expect for a Vegas restaurant that offers Dim Sum. The competition is fierce in Vegas but New Asian BBQ's Dim Sum is holding up pretty well and they would be champs in other cities without as many Dim Sum options. Regardless, I'd still visit again. Enjoy! =)

Among the New and Best Dim Sum Restaurants in Vegas Chinatown!

By albertj30 |

We first went here for a late afternoon luncheon, and we found the menu and seafood selection were quite impressive. The restaurant is quite contemporary, bright and very clean! Won’t go wrong with any of the noodles or fried rice selection. Their BBQ plate of duck and roast pork combo was excellent. We came back on Sunday for dim sum! Restaurant was packed and long waiting line! We called ahead to get a number in line so the wait was only 15 min after we got there! The dim sum selection was very good, they were fresh and meet the standard of good dim sum in Hong Kong! Service to get tea pot replenished can be a bit slow due to packed house. But the food carts were always flowing and good! I consider this one is very good and priced reasonable for dim sum and noodles/fried rice menu, will always go back again!

Super quick service

By my82pink |

This place has been featured on a few You Tube food bloggers and one of the rare places that still use push carts. Extremely quick service. Looking at the time stamp of my photos, we were in and out in 30 minutes. All of our usual items that we order was available instantly in the floating carts. We got chicken feet, har gow, shumai, rice noodle stuff with bbq and one with shrimp, baked bun bao, steam bun bao, xiou long bao, tripe, and steamed pig in a blanket with Chinese sausage. I would say it’s comparable to dim sum in Orange County. All served hot and fresh and flavorful. Not too salty. I liked that they had all the sauces at each table instead of asking for them to bring it. You can also get a whole, half or by the pound duck and roasted pork near the entrance.

Fantastic! Must try!

By Kelsey G |

Went with a group of friends (6 adults and a toddler) for dim sum on a weekday, we were able to get a table fairly easily and the food was delicious. They bring the dim sum around on carts and you can pick as you go, or get half of the cart on the table! Bill was super reasonable as well, I think we spent $150 including tip and a large order of BBQ Pork. 12/10 recommend!

Authentic

By CHRIS H |

If you are used to "Hawaiian style" Chinese food (as opposed to say, Panda Express "Chinese" food), than this is the place for you. Good food, excellent service, and reasonable prices.

Holy mackerel

By Dave L |

Pay attention round eye; This place is great. Fresh, tasty, cheap dim sum. Fast and friendly service. Don’t listen to the negative reviews; those jackasses are simpletons or frauds. Dumplings, Shu mai and wonton highlight the dim sum menu, and BBQ duck and pork hang in the window to tempt you for dinner or take out. Dim sum for two was 70 bucks. For that youll get 11 varieties of yummy deliciousness to go with your jasmine tea. The chili oil is so good you will dream about it and come back the next day for more. They open at 10 am, and I can’t imagine a better way to cure a Vegas hangover than getting in line to sample their dim sum when they unlock the doors.
