Late night dinner

By W, Yoder |

Ninos 46 was recommended by our hotel as we were looking for a place to grab pizza and wine. Walked in a quaint little place and had the best waiter from Serbia that made our night. He had great recommendations and food was wonderful. We closed the place down and marked it off as a good find.

Wonderful dinner

By Purcell R |

The food was fantastic and quick. Servers were very good and the restaurant had a wonderful ambience.

Lovely family meal

By Dave |

Really good experience. Very welcoming to a large family group. Food was excellent with very large portions. Would visit again.

Authentic Italian food

By Marilyn T |

Great little place - booked a table online, glad we did as it was busy at 7.30. Seemingly full of locals - always a good sign. Had pizza with kale and artichoke - delicious. Nice atmosphere with friendly, chatty waiter. Fast service. Moderate pricing. Would recommend.

Empire Pizza, little price.

Un italiano deve andarci!! É un pezzo di italianità a New York. Genuine italian pizza in a comfortable place. Waiters polite and friendly

Same great place with a fun new vibe!

By Michelle O |

So lovely to see this place open again with a great new vibe. Dropped in just after they opened at 5 on a Wednesday & sat at the bar. Z took great care of us with awesome beer & cocktail suggestions. The food is great too! Try the truffle mac & cheese bites, as well as the mushroom prosciutto truffle pizza. So good! We’ll definitely be back!

Last night in NY

By lulagirl2016 |

We finally found the restaurant that our brother-in-law suggested we go to, we did not have a reservation at the restaurant is quite busy and very popular I’m assuming because of the great food. Our waiter was amazing he reviewed all of the wines with us along with the specialties at the house and we asked him his suggestion regarding the wine and we went on the specialties for that night which was a pasta salad with all these meat and the calamari. The wind that he suggested was a red wine was quite good and it paired really well with what we had as an appetizer. We did end up ordering a chef special that was on the menu only one and shared between me and my significant other it was amazingly tasty,And I must say it tasted like you were eating in Italy. If you plan on going there for dinner I highly recommend that you make dinner reservations for the place is very small. We did end up sitting next to the pizza maker I love pizza and the pizza they made there was super thin and we watched the pizza maker put together the pizzas and toss them into the oven. We will revisit this restaurant when we come back to New York and I will try to order the pizza because that’s one of my favorite things to eat

Handled my daughter's food request

By rxgeorgia |

Had dinner before theater. Loved the cozy ambience of the restaurant. Seemed more like a locals place than a tourist place. We called very last minute and were seated immediately when we arrived. My daughter eats vegan almost exclusively. Our server was quick to give us several options for her even though their regular menu is definitely not vegetarian or vegan. She ended up with gluten free penne, tomato marinara sauce and small roasted tomatoes, and wilted spinach across the top. The chef had clearly worked to make her dish look just as good as everything else on the table. I had the orchiette with sausage, which I thought was a bit greasy. My husband had lasagna, which he said was very good.

10 and Praise!

By Mersia P |

We chose this restaurant because it offers gluten-free options and we had a great time so much that we decided to go back during our holiday in New York. Great gluten-free pizza! Diego made our evenings pleasant, fun and relaxing with his sympathy, hospitality and professionalism. If I came back to this city I would choose it again and, no doubt, I highly recommend it for both the cuisine and the atmosphere: 10 and Praise!

Midtown Hidden Gem

By Alix R |

Small family-friendly restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices (but drinks high) and pleasant service. Reservations a must.

Good, noisy and “fast”

By MartinHBE |

Arriving in New York, we were looking for an Italian in the evening. We went hungry to the first best restaurant and were not disappointed. I haven't been to the US in a long time, but I'm more Asia-oriented. The price structure seems to be falling apart. Price/performance is simply not matched anymore.

Average, touristy mid town eatery

By TRAVELHUBRIS |

While the service was wonderful and welcoming, the food was just plain average. Pizza baked in a coal fired oven should be crisp, mine was not...Broccoli rabe that was so tough I needed a steak knife to cut it. I was disappointed since most of the reviews are excellent. There were large groups of college aged students on holiday in the restaurant at lunch time--perhaps Nino's is recommended for tour groups? Maybe I just caught them on an off day?

Very enjoyable dinner

By Bookistan5 |

We were very pleased to discover Ninos. We had tickets to a Broadway play and had neglected to also book a dinner reservation but found one at the last minute here. In a neighborhood filled with mediocre, overpriced, and chain restaurants, Ninos fit the bill for a charming, delicious dinner. It is small and not much in the way of looks, but we really ate well. The fried Burrata in marinara sauce was super tasty, and a very generous serving. I had the gnudi, and my dining partner had a special, mushroom ravioli. We were served by the Serbian waiter who gets such good reviews here. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Cocktails were also good. Dinner came to about $120 for two which is really pretty decent at it. I don’t know why people are complaining about high prices here unless they have never even in the city. We would gladly return.

Excellent pasta

By Blue C |

The pasta was the best we had in NYC. We had the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs and the fettuccine bolognese, which was a daily special. Portions were generous and the food was rustic and delicious! The place is busy so reservations are essential. It's a little difficult to have a conversation over the noise on a busy night but the pasta was worth it

Must try it

By Ifdmm |

What can I say , the best food ever I had.Everything was so delicious .Exellent service and atmosphere Def.ill be back

Cozy Italian spot

By oktay a |

Hidden beautiful spot with a great pizza and cocktails.Make sure you have reservation. Very nice people working there.

Great all around.

By SueSue731 |

Really enjoyed our meal tonight. White pear martini was delicious as was the squash appetizer and all the entrees we had. Staff very friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit again.

Wonderful (but warm)

By Greg S |

Last night in New York and a wonderful night at Nino 46. Food was exceptional, service was friendly without being too much. Truffle Mac and Cheese bites were to die for and unfortunately converted two of our party to truffles meaning less for me ;). The smallest criticism is that it was progressively warmer and warmer (probably as we were sat at the back nearer the pizza oven). Wear layers and loose pants and you will LOVE this place….

Delicious pasta

By Kris |

Absolutely delicious pasta! I enjoyed the vodka rigatoni. I added the sweet sausage and it comes with a dollop of ricotta on top. I asked for it not too spicy and it was perfect. My fiance got the spaghetti and meatballs and wow the flavor was on point. I kinda wished I had got it also but he was nice enough to share. Jen was our bartender and made a great espresso martini and gin martini for us. She was great! Very personable and on top of things. The only downside I can say was the bathrooms were kinda dirty and smelly.

Omg! Terrible!

By Gwen M |

I begged my friends to eat here because the website claims it has gluten free food and the photos were agreeable. Have no idea where those photos were taken, but not at this place! The food was awful! Very few gluten free options, and one friends pizza was not even cooked. We call it “pizza tartar”. When my friend returned it, waiter immediately brought us bill and treated us as criminals. Awful. All the options in NYC and I picked this place. Very very disappointed.

Great lunch for reasonable $$$

By daffymkrk |

Stopped in for lunch during an NYC day trip for business. Made reservation in advance notice problem. Was seated promptly upon arrival despite a line at the door. Great sandwiches for very reasonable prices considering it's midtown location. Only negative that the space is limited and it was very loud during the crowded lunch hour. Otherwise highly recommend.

Good restaurant

By espeditobarrucci |

I was lured one evening by proposed Italian cuisine, but it did not meet my expectations as a Neapolitan, hot pasta, simple sauce for bolognese, and eatable pizza, tasty but it is not Italian pizza. Good cocktail, too. I recommend to nice and friendly owner to hire Italian chefs and pizza makers to give greater quality to the menus proposed. In the central area of Mid town, discreet venue in a somewhat classic style, good background music.

Nice place. Great location. Don’t eat the shell.

By Andrew F |

Nice place. Great location. Parking sucks...it’s NYC...food was delicious. I do question the choice to have the seafood still in the shell on top of pizza.

Quaint Hidden Italian Gem

By Catherine S |

Ninos is a quaint Italian restaurant! The ambience is on point! The food was fast and delicious. We were most impressed with how the whole staff pitched in to serve. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Good food great service good priced

By Jose Armando |

Super cute and cozy place very nice food and very big portion’s recommend spicy rigatoni and pepperoni hot honey pizza very friendly staff

Good food but not cheap and be prepared to wait for service!

By Mark D |

Came here for dinner after work and it was very busy - good sign! Just got a table and a nice long conversation from the manager. Eventually we got a table and there seemed to be only 1 waiter who was very nice but rushed off his feet so it took another 15 mins before we could order to get any wine! The food we had was very good - shared calamari and the veal with a bottle of wine between 2. It came to $180 so was the most expensive meal we have had in NY over the 2 weeks we have been here.

Awesome little cozy Gem near Time Square

By Danny V |

This place is simply perfect! The food is awesome, the ambiance is cozy with great background music, the service is perfect. This is definitely the best option when you want to have a quality dinner, not too expensive, near Time Square. We made a reservation via Trip Advisor and it worked perfectly. We got a great table, about 5 minutes after we got there. The wine list is also decent, we got a really good bottle of wine for reasonable price. Also, try any of the dessert, they are awesome.

Excellent Italian

By RonL40 |

Very nice place on 46th. Party of six was seated right away and everyone enjoyed their meals -- calamari and pizza for two teens, perfect burrata and orecchiette for me! Superbly prepared and presented. The branzino can definitely be recommended. Excellent.

Nino's 46

By Karen W |

We went for lunch before a show. It is a glorified pizza parlor but surprisingly popular. Thank goodness we had a reservation or we would not have been seated. The line was almost out the door to wait for a table. Service was quick and friendly. The food was good but basic. Breaded chicken sandwiches in an assortment of styles was the norm. Everything is a la carte so if you want french fries with your sandwich be prepared to pay an additional $3. They have a bar but with a very small selection - only 4 beer choices (all on tap) and a few hard liquors - no Bacardi (which I was disappointed in). Their wine list is OK but be prepared to pay exorbitant prices for any liquor. All in all, not terrible but there are better lunch places out there for the same price.

Great food, quick serivice!!

By Gin2busy |

We asked our concierge for a great Italian "hole in the wall" restaurant. We wanted great food without a scene- and that is exactly what we got. The restaurant was packed on a thursday night with locals... which is always a good sign. The chef is the owner- we met him on the way out and he proudly told us about his family's long history cooking- some of the recipes were his grandmothers.

Fantastic gluten free NY pizza crust

By Marie H |

I picked up take-out here while in NYC for a conference and had the kale salad and "green" pizza on GF crust. The meal was outstanding - I love pizza and this was the best GF pizza crust I've tasted. The service was fast and the price reasonable. I would have eaten here every night!

Amazing little gem!!!

By Marc Almond |

Fancied an authentic Italian pizza and Ninos did not disappoint, friendly staff, CALAMARI is to die for!!!! pizza was superb, cant fault it in anyway. Never had a pizza with a crust so yummy! Must go if you like Italian food. Atmosphere very nice. Small place but cosy. Booking advised.

A must visit in midtown

By Experience225484 |

Easy to miss walking by but soooo glad we went in. Great cocktails, superb service and excellent food. I felt like family during our meal, everyone cared that you were happy and taken care of!

Public service..

By Lolo52 |

Can’t think of a positive... I took the kids and grandkids after the show. No one enjoyed their dinner. Even had the worst Manhattan.. and I was in Manhattan!!

Great late night spot for dinner

By TheIndulgentTraveler |

We were searching for a restaurant in NYC, "the city that never sleeps" in midtown on a Monday after 9 p.m.. Most everywhere was closed until we found Nino's 46. We were the only ones in the cozy wood paneled dining room and the staff took a few minutes to serve us. Once they did, we had a lovely meal of fried buratta, spaghetti and chicken parm. The bread was fresh, the pasta al dente, the portions plentiful. The house wine was perfect with the red sauce. The prices were also very good.

Family meal

By 15harris |

Great authentic Italian with great food. Thanks for a great evening. Will come back if your still there when I visit again.

Pleasantly surprised!!!

By Luis C |

I recently went to visit New York with family and decided to visit Ninos. The food was great and the prices compared to NYC were acceptable. The quality and quantity were acceptable and very well prepared. The restaurant is nothing out of this world and somewhat dark. But the quality and service I can say fairly good and it was family friendly.

A real gem

By Patjdaly |

On the recommendation of the morning’s tour guide, we went to Ninos 46 in West 46th Street. It is a small family-run Italian restaurant. The food was freshly cooked and really excellent Rosemary had a basic pizza and I had a pasta. But there is nothing basic about this restaurant.

Great food with great gluten free options!

By Amanda G |

I went here tonight and the experience was great. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. I have celiac disease and really enjoyed the wide variety of quality gluten free options! I really appreciated that they had gluten free bread for the table. I had the lobster and shirmp pasta with gluten free penne and it was delicious. Everyone else in my group also loved the food. The chef himself is celiac which we learned when he came around to check in on all of the tables. Overall, it was a great experience.

Fun Spot!!

By coachee1313 |

A great little spot to eat before a show or even lunch if you work in the area. My wife and I both work in NYC and had dinner there before a concert. We shared 3 plates and dessert which seems to be the norm. Excellent food, service and ambiance. The owner came by a chatted for a few minutes which was grand. Highly worthwhile.

Ok spot before thesther

By CWMassey |

It’s not much to look at, but the salad and pizza were good. Service was very inattentive. Moderately priced.

Family feel!

By WinsorTraveler |

Had dinner with a colleague in town for a meeting nearby- Nino's is as close to a great family restaurant as you can get, especially in Times Square. One of the specials caught my attention in that it came with a side of ramps- something you don't find very often because of the short growing season. They were more than happy to include them with my entree, the coffee rubbed hanger steak, which was cooked perfectly to a medium rare with a great sear. My colleague had the veal marsala and said it was classic marsala- smoky, earthy mushroom taste and tender, thin veal. The cocktails are well made, generous and the staff was great- thanks for a great meal!

Awesome pizza

By silvia_flor77 |

We went to Nino’s for dinner without a reservation and they were very friendly, we had to wait 10 minutes in the bar while having our drink and soon they gave us a table. We shared with my partner a spaghetti meatballs and a pizza, the pasta was very nice but the pizza was really awesome, one of the best ones we ever have. The stuff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. I really recommend this place.

Hidden Gem

By Ackieboo |

From telephone booking, to the welcome, to the service and food faultless. Great ambiance & friendly staff. Thanks Eduardo for your recommendation of the Veal Steak, absolutely fantastic. Nothing too much trouble adding extra ingredients to my wife’s Broccoli Pesto Pasta. Wish we had found you 2 days earlier!! Thanks for a great experience, best food we have had since arriving in NYC. On the list for a return visit ;-)

Great food & atmosphere

By Ross O |

Came here on our last night in New York with my partner. The atmosphere was really great and the service was excellent. We both had the steak ragu which was fantastic with a bottle of Chianti between us. I felt in some places in NY they want to get rid of you quickly however here they were happy to let us relax and enjoy our food and wine.

Amazing veg food

By architamodi1 |

We were vegetarians and were not sure what our options would be. But outstanding amazing kale pizza. Something so different. The fettuccini alfredo was very good too.enjoyed our meal here

Keep walking by.

By FloridaFamilyofFive |

We made the mistake of coming here for dinner. It seems like they are understaffed. The gnocchi was terrible. The rigatoni was passable but not spicy at all. The cider was served with ice (it's a carbonated tap drink like beer) and the shirley temple was horrible. They also charge a fee to use a credit card. Consider coming here when the kitchen and bar are fully-staffed.

Excellent Italian with cozy atmosphere

By Travelright01 |

This is a small Italian pub with wood fired pizzas and excellent pastas. Limited beer selection but pretty good wine choices. The wood fired pizzas are well above average and the macaroni bites are very good if you like truffles!! Highly recommend!

Dinner for family of 4

By Paula K |

Quality of food was only ok. Family of four, received 3 starters and then fourth came when the 3 were finished. Not even half way through starter when main came which personally, is a NO NO. Felt very rushed and no real attention paid to us - drinks empty for a long time and had to ask for refills. Lovely restaurant and a lot of potential. Credit card charge and service added automatically to the bill which for what we had was expensive. We paid however disappointed with the overall experience and would not recommend.

Nice local Italian food

By Bonnie C |

We had a very nice dinner. The lasagnette was very tasty as was the skirt steak. The Nutella brownie is definitely big enough to share. The staff were very nice. Our only issue was that we went on an insanely cold day and ended up eating dinner in our coats because the restaurant was so cold. So we would recommend the restaurant as long as the day is not super cold.

Family Meal Friendly

By Brendan M |

Great place! Small but charming. We needed a spot for dinner with our two young children. They didn’t have a kids menu but were kind enough to let them share an adult dish. They even split the plates in the kitchen without asking! We all had pasta which was delicious and very fresh. We didn’t have a reservation but were able to be seated right away on a Friday night a little after 6pm. Lastly, the owner (I presume) was incredibly friendly and checked on us and our kids a few times throughout the meal sharing stories and the like. Would definitely recommend!

Worst Italian I’ve had in NYC

By EllyTexas |

Chicken Marsala did not have a sauce but rather a soup that it swam in. Spaghetti undercooked (for anyone’s taste) Chicken tasted boiled. Pizza had half melted cheese that covered it not 2/3 of pizza.

Hidden Gem in NYC

By Chris |

I had the best Italian dinner tonight here that I’ve had in a long, long time. The restaurant is very unassuming and an oasis near Times Square. The owner/chef Frankie is extremely polite and humble and came out to make sure all was good with our dinner. The burrata appetizer was the most unique preparation I’ve ever had, with grilled apples and peaches along with tomatoes. For the entree I had a Veal Marsala that was arguably the best I’ve ever had. My companion had a great gluten free pasta bolognese. I can’t say enough about Nino’s and am planning to visit again very soon. You will not be disappointed.

Ok

By taffy1960 |

It was ok Found the menu limited Garlic bread well if you call it that Small Portions and expensive for what it was Drink ok Very packed in a small restaurant They just want you in and out for a quick turnaround

Great location and atmosphere, food not so much

By Cotta |

During a recent trip to NYC we were looking for a small mom and pop Italian restaurant. On Yelp Nino46 was rated very highly. We happened to be in midtown, so we went to Nino46. On a Tuesday night about 7PM without a reservation there was about a 30 minute wait. The restaurant looked perfect. a small dimly lit whole in the wall place bustling with activity and exposed brick walls. Once seated service was attentive, but quick. Unfortunately, the food was a let down. Over cooked mushy pasta and another dish I couldn't begin to describe other that to say it was not very good. Considering the number of Italian restaurants in New York I would not recommend Nino46

Great food and service

By Jessica P |

Food was tasty Atmosphere was ok. Small dining room means tables are close together and noise level was high. Enjoyed the kale salad and the Orecchiette with pesto, broccoli rabe and sausage.

Hearty portions, decent food, very good service

By valleyconsultant |

Arrived for an early dinner, fortunately because this restaurant is quite compact, on one of the coldest days in history in NYC, the day after Thanksgiving. Tables were full, lots of parties had arrived at the same time. But service was very good and prompt. That good crusty Italian bread was served with olive oil and when I asked for Balsamic vinegar in addition, it was promptly supplied. We ordered spaghetti with chicken parm, a kale salad to share and a glass of wine each. Wine was more expensive than expected, but dinner was pretty reasonable. Kale salad consisted of chopped up kale with pinenuts and a buttermilk dressing. Large portion, but gritty. Kitchen should have thoroughly washed the leaves before chopping and serving - and the grit ruined the taste for me. Spaghetti was served with an adequate portion of red sauce and a large breast of chicken parm. I wish we had split the entree because the portions were so large. Nothing outstanding but tasty and filling. One of the few dinners on this trip that was around the $100 range rather than the $150-$200 range.

Nice little dinner

By Kiera16 |

Went for dinner as a party of 10 after a family member booked. Is quite a small little place, with a reasonably small but nice menu. The waiter was lovely, made everyone laugh and feel comfortable. The food wasn’t the best I’ve tasted, with the pizzas all being rated high, whereas the pastas didn’t have much taste (I had the special bolognese). Would definitely recommend if you order pizza. Seen in the pictures is the starter I had, kale salad, and the specials bolognese.

Delicious, highly highly recommend!

By Niamh |

Delicious, I shared a pizza and pasta, both were amazing! The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. I ate with 3 others and they agreed it was very very good. Price was so worth it, not even expensive and I would love to return. Owner or chef talked to us afterwards and was very nice. Restaurant is quite small but had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. All the other waiters and waitresses were smiley and friendly too.

Where The Locals Eat

By April N |

We were looking for an Italian restaurant NOT in Rockefeller Center, but near it. This is the perfect place-delicious in every way! We had the fried burrata, oriechetti, bolognese, and chicken Parmesan, they all were fabulous!! Great service too!

Great Service and Flavorful Food

By Chelsea C |

My bf and I really enjoyed our meal. I got the lobster and shrimp pasta (which was cooked very well) and my bf ordered the spaghetti with sweet sausage (which again, was very well prepared). We also tried the fried truffle mac and cheese appetizer and I ordered the baked pumpkin (which was so interesting). The only problem would be the bread. It was cold and very hard. Other than that, our glasses were never empty and we continually had good service the entire time we ate.

My go to!

By BW2 |

Every time I'm in NYC I go to Nino's. My 14 year old niece had a personal brick oven pizza that she said was really good. My wife had a huge bowl of shrimp and linguine in cream sauce that had a bit of pepper kick too it. My spinach gnudi in cream sauce was great.

Nino's 46- A Gluten Free Paradise.

By Sarah M |

Decided to go to Nino's as their menu offered gluten free options. We were wowed by the food and the service at Nino's. As a family that has people who must eat gluten free, we were so happy with the selction of GF options. Highly recommend the meatballs. GF pizza also delicious. Service was outstanding, great recommendations, and frequent check ins. We also enjoyed a couple of outstanding beverages. We were recently in Italy and this restuarant made us feel like we were back there. Plan to return to Nino's next time we are in NYC.

Yummy!

By Travmama |

I came here to eat for the first time on a Saturday. I learned that the menu is limited until dinner so I ended up getting a chicken parm sandwich to go. It was very yummy. I would like to come back again some day for dinner and also to try their pizza. The prices were reasonable for NYC. The place is small so I would recommend making reservations. I will come again.

Average restaurant

By Sara N |

According to me, this restaurant is overrated. The food is average, nothing special. The pizza is really far from the real Neapolitan pizza, maybe because in USA people prefer this type of pizza. There is gluten free pizza and also gluten free pasta. The waiters are kind. The restaurant is really small with loud music, so it is really difficult to talk. I suggest to reserve, if you want to eat an average food.

Devine Meal

By The Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island |

Our meal was Devine and the burrata cheese with dates should be on the dessert menu! I had the coffee crusted skirt steak, which was prepared to perfection! I will be back in June.

Wonderful dinner!

By Christine H |

My family was visiting NYC and found Nino's 46th online when looking for a good Italian Restaurant. We made reservations and we had a wonderful experience from the time we arrived until we left. The four of us ordered different items plus we shared an appetizer to start, and we enjoyed everything! We shared with each other as everyone's dish looked amazing. And the taste did not disappoint! The manager personally offered to answer any questions about the many dishes offered and he was very patient and helpful. The restaurant was full and a bit noisy so it was nice that he would repeat some things for us when we couldn't quite hear him over the crowded room noise. Very pleased with the whole dining experience. We would definitely dine there again!

Had To Go Back

By canncan |

We stopped in for lunch at least partly because they were advertising gluten-free options. We went back another night for dinner because the lunch was so good! I had a chicken salad for lunch with a VERY generous portion of grilled chicken, and I was able to get gluten-free bread as an accompaniment. One of the owners of this restaurant has celiac and therefore takes the gluten-free option very seriously. My husband had a pizza (they do not do gluten-free pizza as it would require two pizza ovens) and declared it Best.Pizza.Ever. When we returned for dinner, I had a whole Branzino fish that was perfectly cooked and presented, and my husband had veal marsala. We shared an excellent caesar salad. Another measure for us of a truly good Italian restaurant is whether they make a good espresso, and they did. These guys really know what they are doing. Highly recommend you check them out!

Don't Go Here for Gluten Free

By J C |

My daughter and I were in search of a gluten free pasta dinner and our web search brought us here. It was terrible. They just take their regular pasta dishes and substitute horrible gluten free penne. If you're gluten free, you know the cheap garbage penne I'm talking about. AND they charged us another $8 ($4 each) for that stuff. Ugh. Gluten free is better than this, If anyone had been to Pala before the landlord took it over for his expanded nightclub, that was amazing GF pasta. Also, the restaurant had what looked like a great selection of pizzas but couldn't do a GF version. We were excited about the location (close to theatres) and the inside was clean and not too noisy but were really disappointed with the GF options and and won't go back.

Good lunch

By Stefan C |

Hard to find local place on 46 street, but a pleasant lunch. By the time we arrived at 3 PM it was totally empty. The friendly waiter had our personal woodfired pizza to our table in minutes. It was very good.

Great food - hard to find.

By mero1 |

This was recommended by a family member, I must've walked past it 3 times thinking they had closed down. Eventually noticed it and must say had a lovely dinner. I opted for the Lasagne and Mrs went for the stoned baked pizza. Both were excellent quality. Had a chat with the chef who's worked there since he was a kid. Told him we would be back when next in NY. They do some great IPA too.

Good Italian Food

By erodrig26 |

We stopped in here for lunch while walking around the neighborhood. We were early so we easily got a table. We had some pizzas and I had a muffaletta. The pizza's were good. If you are use to New Orleans style muffalettas this is similar but not the same, but it was good. Be forewarned that as the restaurant fills up so it does get a little noisy, so if you want to carry on a conversation with people around the table it may be hard. Service was good so it was an overall good experience.

Great service, very good food. Quiet, intimate restaurant.

By Montgomery L |

Met a friend here and had a very enjoyable dinner. Service was excellent. Vegetables were a little cool (lukewarm) and would have been better if hotter. Dishes were excellent.

Great Before a Show

By Brian C |

First time here, GREAT food. Very affordable and comfortable. Very good service. We will definitely be back!

Lovely little gem

By tomshaw186 |

What a lovely little gem this place was. Handmade lemonade and beautiful food. Not only was the waiter funny and polite, he also helped me cut up my lobster when i told him i have never had it before!!

Great manager - great food and service of the highest order

By EverRise |

The food here was amazing, best squid and pasta bolognese I've tasted anywhere outside of the best parts of Italy. A real gem in Manhatten, highly recommended :)

Very pleased

By psu86 |

I took my family to Nino's 46 based on some reviews and was very pleased! They went above and beyond to make my young girls happy. The bread was incredible, pasta was outstanding, sandwiches were delicious and the service top notch. AND it was very reasonably priced! Can't wait to go back!

Noisy but nice!

By Sushkin |

Lively, noisy, busy place! The food was very good, no frills fare, and the service was fast and efficient . It all seems very authentic 'New York' Italian, but it's definitely not the place to go for a quiet lunch for two!! All round, very tasty though, and a good find!

Yummy!

By Sunshine8241 |

This place is cute. A tiny little spot in midtown. We went for lunch and I have to say, the penne alla vodka was to DIE FOR. Such a simple dish, but so well executed. The service was great and the bill seemed average. I recommend to all!

Great Italian

By LoveNewExperiences |

A security guard at Rockefeller Plaza recommended Nino's to our group of 5 on a recent trip to NYC so we walked to this small restaurant for lunch. We almost overlooked it but glad that was not the case because we were all 5 pleased with our lunch selections. We had about a 15 minute wait for a table but it went by quickly as the manager visited with us off and on during that time frame. Once seated three people ordered the chicken parm, one person ordered chicken marsala and one person ordered the spinach salad with chicken. All five selections were excellent with just the right amount of seasonings, sauce and cheese. I would not hesitate to recommend Nino's.

Fantastic

A right little gem! Service was fantastic and food superb Wife was more than happy with the wine, win win! Affordable in New York!

Perfect pre-theatre

By Acer sed justus |

Pizzas and quite a lot more, quickly served in a friendly place that's handy for most of 'Broadway'. What's not to like?

Lucky to get a table !

By Markh1205 |

Wow ! We walked in off the street and managed to get a table at the bar, the place was rammed at 1700 - such a great sign ! Went for gnocchi and hot honey pepperoni pizza both excellent.

Friday pre-show dinner. Def

By Lisa M |

Friday pre-show dinner. Def make a reservation. The spinach gnudi was fabulous. The spaghetti and meat balls were very good but the noodles were too al dente for us. Salmon was very good but we didn’t like the little side item, a falafel type thing made from grains. It had no flavor. Service was decent. Great location especially if you’re going to a show.

Cozy and delicious

By travellerfromatown |

Small restaurant, with a bar on one side with televisions ( muted) and tables on another. The wood fired pizza oven is in the rear. The cocktails were perfectly created, the service was good, and the food very good. We started with the crispy burrata for two. Wow. Creamy goodness in a tasty crust, surrounded by spicy sauce. I would definitely order this again. Decadent. I had the lamb lasagna, which was rich and had great flavor. My husband had the gnude, which was absolutely fabulous. We indulged in the Nutella bread pudding dessert, which although very good, was too much for us to handle. We will definitely add this to our list of faves.

Not exactly what I expected

By Nancy MacDonald |

We visited Nino's 46 before a show at Radio City Music Hall. We had reservations at 7:30 and were seated at 8:00. We ordered the Linguini x 2 and the Bacon Clam pizza. Both were underwhelming, The linguini was served with small clams that you have to un-shell.. I understand as this is common at many places but to have to un-shell the clams on the pizza totally took away from the experience of having the toppings held together by the melted cheese. The pizza was also very heavily greasy. The Linguini had very little taste and needed a bit more of the butter or a wine sauce so that it wouldn't taste as dry as it did. We expected at least one of our meals to be a true tasty Italian meal but we were underwhelmed.

Great value, atmosphere, service!

By joseph K |

Our hotel recommended this choice on 46th W street- restaurant row. we wanted a casual Italian lunch. Lunches were $15 to $20 and excellent. Very tasty bolonese and my wife had a thin crust wood fired pizza- $12. It was good enough that we went back for dinner 2 nights later.

Not for Pizza

By Rodney G |

We were referred to Nino's for takeout pizza. It is obviously not their strong point. Staff was very nice. bar was good. Pizza was lacking. Basically just crust with a little filling in the center. Good taste, not much filling

Delicious pizza

By Fabio C |

We came here on Christmas Eve without a reservation and within 10 mins we were seated at the bar. Ordered the pizza and it was delicious as well as our Chianti. Service was great. Bartender very kind. Lovely little place.

Busy Restaurant

By Mekeon54 |

Nino’s 46 was recommend to us as a great place to eat. It was very busy when we arrived & after waiting, what seemed ages were eventually shown to a table & left. People who came in after us were served well before our waitress arrived. My wife selected pasta to eat & when it arrived was poorly presented & inedible as it had not been cooked correctly. Not a restaurant we could ever recommend, just not impressed

Fab authentic Italian dishes with great service!

By MomWhoMatters |

This diamond in the rough was a pleasant surprise. The food was served incredibly fast and tasted superb! The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we found this place sooner. Will definitely be back! It’s pasta the way it’s supposed to be!

Delicious Food, Great Ambiance -- Will be back!!!

By Ashleigh J |

Found this from a random Google search based on proximity to my hotel and will be back. The food was unbelievable; great portion sizes, tons of options on the menu, super gluten-friendly, awesome ambiance -- not too dark or too loud, and overall a really wonderful experience. I would recommend this place to anyone and will plan to return on a future visit to NYC.

A Must Try for Pasta Lovers

By Cavazos C |

Was craving Italian food, so used Google to explore. This cozy joint was within walking distance. We went conservative and stuck with spaghetti and meatballs. So glad we did. Homemade pasta was amazing and really hit the spot. The sauce and meatballs were divine as well. We went before pre dinner rush, so didn't need a reservation. As far as price finner for 2: iced tea, salad and spaghetti was $66, not including tip. Highly recommend for pasta lovers.

Real flavour of Italy

By Alan B |

On holiday from Scotland and loved this rustic Italian restaurant. Great atmosphere, food, wine and service. Grazie mille.

Should have been much better, but is gluten-free

By northbaychris |

We went there for a late dinner. Primarily because they are gluten-free and the owner/chef is Celiac like I am. Two problems, firstly the owner was present but not cooking and the substitute chef twice provided under-cooked salmon. Second problem was our waiter Manuel, who was not very good. When we returned our under cooked meal a second time he had not checked on us to make sure it was right and we had to flag down the owner to correct the problem, which he did. The meal turned out to be good but hopefully when you go the owner will be cooking and you won't get Manuel.

Good Italian

By NC4travel |

A block away from Times Square, this was a small restaurant with good Italian food. The menu was not large, but had enough variety. The pizzas were baked in a brick oven and there were some interesting choices. The spaghetti has a thick sauce and was good with the sweet sausage. Service was quick, prices reasonable. This seems to be a place for locals.

excellent food!

By travelisgreat |

We were in the city with friends and had a craving for Italian food. We were close to Rockefeller Plaza and I found this restaurant on google. It was close and had good reviews on Yelp. We walked there on a Saturday night with no reservations and we were seated about 30 minutes later. I would recommend reservations as the restaurant is small. The waiter gave us the nightly specials and when the food came out it was amazing. The portions are good size and while none of had desert, i was able to see some coming from the kitchen and they looked wonderful. If you are craving Italian I would recommend this place.

An enjoyable Italian

By rokkap |

Nino's 46 proved a popular, lively (and typically narrow) Italian restaurant near Rockefeller Center. Our Open Table reservation was well respected in front of the line. We went for pizza, and were treated to delicious examples. Service, in the busy evening, was expedient, once it got started.

Great for pre-theater

We enjoyed the food, service and lively ambiance at Nino’s. I had the clams & linguine & husband had the lamb lasagne. Both were very good.

A Go-To in Rock Center/Times Square

By Rob M |

Fast, Affordable, and Friendly dine-in Italian restaurant. I've been coming here for years as the food is excellent and they have you in/out in no time. I call it the "Italian Diner" because you can get great pizza, sandwiches, pastas, and salads in flash! It's a family run Italian restaurant. The owner, Frank, is very personable and makes you feel at home. Check it out if in the area!

Ordered online and was pleasantly surprised

By magadiz |

We usually don’t go for Italian food which is rarely well executed but this time, I was impressed. The food was delicious and definitively home made from scratch. Nice pizzas, authentic oven. My highlight was the meatballs.

Small and cozy with tasty food!

By Arianna C |

My friend and I randomly selected Nino’s and we are glad we did. I had this delicious dish and would have it again. The service was lovely and the waiter was very attentive.

Average

By Mathew R |

Made a reservation few nights prior after reading good Trip Advisor reviews, the greeting staff were so friendly and helpful to be later let down by our waiter who insisted on grunting instead of actually speaking. We ordered plain cheese pizza which was delicious, spaghetti and meatballs which was under seasoned and reminded me of eating tin spaghetti and the orecchiette which was ok. Meals are reasonably priced for NYC Overall experience was pretty average.

Poor Quality Food, Poor Service

By Veronica |

We happen to arrive at the same time another couple did. Neither couple had a reservation so they asked if we wanted to eat at the bar. We agreed as did the other couple. We were immediately provided a drink and the bartender took our order. A group of 4 came in without a reservation. However, the hostess said, "let me check" and then proceeded to seat them. My feet were dangling from the bar stool so I asked for a table again. The hostess said that they had too many reservations coming in. Then our food arrived. I ordered the Orecchiette Pesto. Although it had a good flavor, it was cold. My companion ordered the chicken parm. It was like eating leather. We didn't complain for several reasons but mainly it was nearly impossible to get the bartender's attention. Finally, we stood up to pay because we were waiting so long and a gentleman gave us a bill. We will not be returning.

Don't miss out!

By Lulym555 |

I had a business dinner with colleagues. I've chosen this restaurant due to the great reviews that I've read. We wanted a simple and not fancy Italian restaurant with an exquisite food. The place was quiet, the atmosphere was great and the FETTUCCINE DRUNK LOBSTER SAUCE was just perfect! My colleagues also enjoyed their pizzas and the prices was also reasonable. I'll definitely will be back there.

Great food

By jyoungn887 |

I found this place by chance, but the food was great, also the service and the place. I had a great dinner.

Nothing to right home about

By ayesha f |

The pizza was good. The pasta was nothing to right home about. Out of the box regular fare. Tasted chewy. The steak was also just so and so came with some frozen fries. On top of the that they just add 18% gratuity. If you are serving below par stuff at such high prices please pay your staff living wage.

Great dinner our last night in NYC!

By BigEasy79 |

My wife and I dropped in to Nino's 46 our last night in NYC on a long weekend trip from Louisiana. I'm so glad that we tried this place. I looked for reservations at some of the other highly rated restaurants in Midtown, but wasn't able to get anything the day of. Nino's only had an 8:30 time slot available so we jumped on it. We were not disappointed at all. Very cozy restaurant that was packed on a Sunday night. I will say that we were quite early in the area and the bar was packed at Nino's, so we went across the street to Chazz Palminteri's restaurant to have drinks while we waited. Rude and inattentive staff there made for a long wait. Back to Nino's - There is not a lot of room to wait outside of the cold, so make sure you make reservations. The staff was very nice and everyone leaving was raving out the food. We ordered the truffled mac and cheese bites and they were awesome. I was on the fence with this and wanted the calamari but the waiter suggested this. You won't be disappointed! For the main course we ordered spicy soppressata, sweet sausage pizza and there was a 4 meat pasta special with a soft egg. We both shared these and wished we could have tried more. The pizza as flavorful with the crust cooked perfectly in the wood oven.(Which we were seated very close to and watched the action). The pasta was great with the most tender meats and red sauce and the runny egg just set it off. There were a number of other dishes that we'll definitely be back to try (Calamari, charred octopus and the lobster pasta to name a few). We highly recommend Nino's and will definitely be back.

Great lunch sandwiches

By Shlinds |

Had lunch here on a Friday with some family visiting the city. I made a reservation given its location and surrounding tourist attractions. I'm glad i did. It was busy. The waitstaff was fine. They didn't refill our drinks or even ask us if we wanted more but took our orders fine. I had to ask them to hurry dessert along and the check so I could get back to work - they blamed the kitchen - which is normal but waiting over 20 minutes for dessert during lunch isn't. That being said, the sandwiches were great. My mom and aunt had eggplant parm and I had the drunken chicken parm with a side of salad. The salad was literally lettuce and nothing else. They charged me $3 for lettuce. Kind of a rip off even in NYC. I'd get take out from here for lunch again. Probably wouldn't come and sit only because my office is on the other side of town. The manager came over - at least he acted like a manager - didn't identify himself. He said they elevate the menu for dinner and have a more casual approach to lunch.

Ninos 46 - Pleasant

By MartynLW |

The restaurant is quite small which perhaps explains why the menu is not that extensive - not a criticism just an observation Friendly staff and decent Pizza & Pasta Ideal for a midweek meal

Bad Experience

By ALI186570 |

Really bad experience; would never consider going near here again. Could not recommend it. I appreciate that people do give this place good reviews which is why I chose to go here. Everyone has their own views of likes and dislikes which is fine but I could not in all conscience give this restaurant a good review. The whole experience from food to atmosphere and service was just sub standard for a restaurant of this type. Could probably do with a bit of refurbishment.

First time at Ninos 46

By jimmugno |

Made a reservation (which was suggested by reviews I read) and was glad I did. We were seated within minutes of that time. Other than tables being small because of the size of the restaurant everything was top notch. From the host to the servers, all were friendly and helpful. After being seated we were asked to switch tables to accommodate a larger party, which we did; and were rewarded with a free pizza. Every part of dinner was superb. Melt in your mouth Veal Marsala was the highlight for me. I live in PA and was in NYC for the Christmas Show at Radio City and Ninos just completed a wonderful day. Any trip back to NYC will include another meal at Ninos—-guaranteed!!!!!

Overrated and noisy

By 24QueenBee |

Met a family member here for midweek dinner. We were seated quickly and the waiter arrived pronto. We each ordered an individual pizza with the goal of sharing them. One was an artichoke pizza another was a margarita pizza and the third was a Italian ham(?) pizza. They were all adequate but not delicious. The crusts on the pies were not tasty and did not add to the overall dinner experience. The restaurant was noisy which made conversation difficult.

Great Italian Food

By lawtrek |

Fresh homemade pasta, great sauce, meats and waitstaff. Large selection of domestic and Italian wines. Not a big place, get there early, good bargain, not overpriced.

Great food

By worldtravelerT1820IO |

Enjoyed our rustic Italian meal here. Food was great but ambiance and service could have been a little better. My wife had the Bransino and I had pasta. The buratta special app was very good. Seems like the pasta and pizza are a must here.

Mediocre food for a long wait and poor service

By Sharanny |

Arrived for our 5:30 reservation early. Not greeted at all. We were told that our table would be ready in ten minutes. I had two children, a disabled adult and two adults in our party. We went to the bar where we ordered drinks. the beer arrived in a broken, chipped glass. The bar tender was so rude, she seemed to be annoyed that she had to make drinks. We had to order gingerale and other non alcoholic drinks because of the kids. Ten minutes came and went. A half hour later we were seated at a few tables smushed (and I mean smushed) together. Two people in the party had special diets. We chose Ninos 46 because they brag that they accommodate gluten free diets. The food was tasteless, I had meatballs and spaghetti. The meatballs truly tasted like dogfood. I barely touched it, because the fresh pasta was gummy and the sauce tasteless. The kids had pizza that was called "spicy pizza". There was absolutely NO spice to this mushy soggy pizza. My daughter had gluten free pasta and it was undercooked, so it was almost crunchy. My husband had the milk rib tips, very fatty and arrived cold. Server never showed his face once. No water refills, no drink re fills . The bathroom is lit with a nightlight (seriously) and was filthy.

Second visit confirmed first: good cook!

By Inge |

Fantastic Lobster Fettucini. I enjoyed it as much as the first time I visited. Definitely recommend it! Other nice options on the menu.

Spot on

By Quintin |

Small little place with a relaxed atmosphere. Food was well priced and absolutely amazing. I had the fettuccini alfredo and the prawns & lobster where spectacular. Service was brilliant.. definitely recommended

Incredible! We are in NY

By Tom C |

Incredible! We are in NY for a long weekend and wanted some authentic Italian - including the experience. There was a bit of a wait but Franco and Cecilia kept us updated and chatted with us about the restaurant and it’s history. The food come out in a timely manner and was delicious! Some hearty bread to sop up the sauce topped the meal perfectly! Thanks Franco! We will be back.

Great atmosphere for intimate dinner and drinks

By Emmali B |

Stopped here craving delicious pizza & pasta and were not disappointed - we arrived around 6:45 to an empty dining room but by the time we left it was packed. The atmosphere was very cozy and intimate despite the small space, and the service was friendly and attentive. Every plate coming out of the kitchen looked divine. The pizza was amazing, with delicious dough straight out of the brick oven. The lobster pasta was also great. A perfect place for sitting and indulging with friends!

Not customer friendly. Go to Via Italia

By HawaiiM |

Go to Via Italia instead a few doors down. Went in by myself for a late lunch at 2:30pm. Only 2 tables taken so restaurant was very empty. I was shown to a table at the entrance of the kitchen and was refused a table off to the side. I seriously doubt there was going to be a huge crowd coming in at that time of day. What an unfriendly place. So I left and went into Via Italia. So friendly and welcoming from the moment I stepped inside. There are so many places to dine in NYC. Don't settle for poor service.

Decent Italian dinner near Times Square

By Yudansha2017 |

Good place for dinner if you’re looking for a reasonably priced meal. Bustling atmosphere. Very good, responsive service. Enjoyable, good-sized entrees. Pasta is a bit hit or miss depending on the dish selected. Spaghetti pasta was off but lasagna was very good and filling. Good wine selection.

Great Find so good we went twice!

By Jack Davidson |

A lovely place to eat with owners that care , food that’s great and a lovely atmosphere. Pizza is the best I’ve ever had and the Lobster pasta was a notch above . We have been treated really well . A must

Decent food, not overpriced

By Acresfield03 |

Overpriced takes on a new meaning in New York.. so it was a pleasant experience to have a bill for two of us plus drinks that came in at less than $60. Having said that, it was just pizza, no starters or sweet, and two drinks. The pizza was tasty, and the staff friendly, but the restaurant very very noisy.

Great after Sunday matinee Italian dinner

By Sonnydaysa |

We had an early 5:45 dinner right after a broadway matinee. Food was excellent and fast. The brick oven pizza was made to perfection with spicy supersade fresh mozzarella and sausage. We also enjoy the special for the evening a ricotta and corn stuffed ravioli with Marsala and pancetta on top. Delicious. My only complaint was the red wine was too war. Red wine should be about 60 degrees an this was about 70. That’s What prevented the 5 rating.

Pranzo Perfetto

By Robert C |

Being well reviewed, they aren't lying. We stopped for lunch without a reservation, and settled quickly for bar seating at this busy place. We had the calamari, and chicken sandwiches, her the chicken pesto, and me the spicy chicken calabrese blt. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and was very filling.

Amazing food

By cl1008 |

Had appetizers and drinks with friends then shared an entree because we had so many appetizers. Everything was so good. The charred octopus was incredible. We were blown away by the taste of this dish.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

By Meodie1313 |

It was lunchtime and we wanted to find a place off the main drag and we found Nino's online and viewed the menu. There were great options for both myself, (vegetarian) and my friend who is a picky eater. Once we were seated and given what appeared to be a dinner menu, I requested the lunch menu, since it was 1:00. I was told that they don't serve lunch on weekends, only dinner. There were fewer options on the dinner menu, and no sandwiches. We each ordered a salad, which was good, but nothing special. The bread that was served was delicious! I think that Nino's should take the time to note on their website that they don't serve lunch on weekends, since there was a group that arrived after we did who were also looking for lunch.

Disappointing dinner at Nino’s 46 in New York.

By Ziulsolrac |

I was at dinner today (05/01/26) I ordered a linguini with clams (something like spaghetti al vongole) and it was awful, full of semi-cooked garlic in a flavorless broth. My wife ordered a dish with rib steak and potatoes, which was bone-free and overcooked, accompanied by cold potatoes. In the end, a credit card fee was charged, the first restaurant to charge that fee after 4 days eating in NYC.

My new favourite Italian

By Jamie H |

A cozy, unpretentious Italian restaurant with a warm atmosphere and friendly welcome. Unfussy, beautiful dishes. Well cooked and well served. If I lived in NYC I would be a regular. Highly recommended!

Whole branzino!

By Wellington24 |

Our dinner was excellent! Everything was delicious but the whole branzino was exceptional. It was perfectly cooked and perfectly boned. Also loved the Brussels Sprouts!

Shhhh, keep this place a secret.

By Kevin J |

Found this place on line near where my son works and made an online reservation. The menu is a little limited, but the fettuccini with clams was delicious. Their own lager on tap was smooth and rich. Will try to go again when I am back in the city.

Dinner for two

By Stuart M |

My wife and I ate here on our trip to New York and were delighted to have found such a gem. We both had a pasta dish which tasted excellent and was very reasonably priced. The highlight for us was the service. Our waiter (from Serbia, sorry we can't recall his name) was outstanding and looked after us very well. Kudos!!

Great lunch option

By mrhover |

I’ve been here a couple of times and left happy both times. The pasta is good, wine is good. It’s comfortable and the staff is looking to please. Is suggest you give it a try. Small three generations in the restaurant place. Enjoy

Celiac Friendly!

By meandpa |

Nino's has great food for both gluten free diners and those who can enjoy foods with gluten. They have many gluten free pasta dishes and the servers are meticulous in the handling of the gluten free meals. we have eaten at Nino's multiple times and highly recommend this restaurant.

Cazy Italian Rest

By JEDER52760 |

Cozy restaurant, Very accommodating staff, we had varius off menu request which they were happy to do for us We took a long time to eat, due to the fact there was much conversatiob from our group, and it was not a problem with the staff

Great Gluten Free Pizza

By Mickeydave1 |

We looked up Gluten Free restaurants as one of our daughters is coeliac and we just wanted take away pizza to take back to the hotel after a busy day of sightseeing. We ordered two pizzas and calamari (small additional charge for GF pizza) all of which were GF with the calamari cooked in a separate fryer. Lovely food, good value and very friendly staff. So good we went back the next day. The restaurant looked a nice place to eat in too.

Family owned place, great find

By TJRTravel |

Great family owned local place with good Italian food, cozy ambiance (loud- but everywhere is loud). Prices are reasonable and service was excellent. Owner is out chatting with tables. Very happy we had dinner here

Forgot that we are customers

By Karen L |

Arrived 10 minutes early for 5.15 reservation. Told to wait by the entrance for the rest of the party to come, along with some 6-8 other people waiting for their reserved tables while blasted by freezing air from opening and closing of door. This despite being exhorted by numerous emails from restaurant in the hours leading up to the reservations to arrive early and have a cocktail. Food was OK. No one said thank you to me or any other customers as we departed. Restaurant got what they wanted....they just forgot we were customers and not there for their convenience. Sorry to say

Pretty tasteless

By natxc88 |

We came here Friday evening. I ordered the meatballs and my partner ordered a pizza. Meatballs were definately microwaved and pretty tasteless, sauce wasnt great either. Husband said his pizza wasnt nice. Pretty annoyed we wasted a evening here. Menu in restaurant completely different to one online.

Best Gluten Free Pizza!

By Lakegirpaints |

The best gluten free pizza I have personally ever had. The crust was incredible. It was doughy and fluffy and NOT dry and flat like a typical gluten free crust. I ordered the lamb sausage pizza- soooo good!!! I also ordered one of the specials which was a fettuccine pasta and it was just ok. I wouldn’t order it again but I will definitely order the pizza again on my next trip to NYC. Apparently the chef has celiac disease. He has mastered the art of gluten free pizza!!

Mediocrity Reigns

By Logistics |

Nino's is not the place to go to if you are looking for a varied menu, a good wine list, and good service. Do not be fooled by either the menu and wine list (overpriced) that you see on line. These are limited, but what you get once seated, is even more restricted. The ambience is cave like. More than one table had to use their flashlight apps to read the menus. The service was spotty, although the management does come around to ask how things are. They should know... Not recommended.

If you only have one night for dinner near Times Square......

By John B |

Nice small family run Italian restaurant with great service, drinks and food. Pizzas and pastas. Gluten free selections were primo.

Cozy restaurant

By Jane K |

Ate here after work with some coworkers. Ice cold beer was delicious. Our waiter was very helpful and understanding when we took forever to decide what to eat and also to leave. The menu wasn't huge, but a good selection of Italian foods. Would go back

Great food. Great Service. Great prices.

By Thomas K |

First time at Ninos. Very happy with the food, the service and the prices. Food was well prepared and generous. The service was excellent. Our waiter was spot on and very attentive. We had reservations for 7 and arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately. Prices are extremely reasonable for NYC, and especially for the great location for Ninos. I had the spaghetti with Chicken Parm and my wife had Spaghetti and meatballs. We started with the Panzanella Salad and the Caesar Salad. Eveything was very good and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente!. The restaurant is fairly small and they cram a lot of tables in, so it is a bit loud, but fine for a casual dinner with family or friends. Defiantly a good spot if you have kids. We will definitely return when visiting the city.

Excellent sandwiches

By Gareth T |

For a great sit down lunch choose either the chicken or shrimp sandwiches. The prices are comparable to pret or any deli in the area but these are so much better and you get to sit down in a relaxed area with excellent service.

Great gluten free options

By travellinglondoner08 |

Stumbled across this place one evening and they fitted us in, despite the kitchen being about to close. Had an amazing meal and the staff were friendly and welcoming too. Can highly recommend, especially for the gluten free options.

Great little Italian

By Lesleyllp |

Blink and you'll miss the doorway but this restaurant is a treasure. Wood oven open fire pizza and great pasta & authentic Italian menu. Also have gluten free pasta & pizza options. The spinach gnudi were gorgeous & unusually flavoured with sage which was a super combination. Fettuccine with lobster was mouthwatering. Brussel sprouts with prosciutto surprisingly tasty. Lamb sausage pizza very meaty and rich. Puddings involved a lot of Nutella but i was too full.

Beware! Happy hour only at the bar!

By rebecca M |

Seated on the smallest of tables. Not only that, but I couldn't move my seat back, due to closeness of table behind. Told then that happy hour is only available at the bar. Why not state it on your outside board? Husbands pasta meal good, my pizza poor, really soggy, so returned it. Waiter happy to replace. No black pepper, parmesan, etc offered. Found it to be very rushed and mediocre. Didn't represent good value for money. Wouldn't go back!

Food Is Great But, It Is LOUD and CROWDED!!

By Lirrhater |

Food is really good here! It is fresh, tasty and quick! The only drawbacks are as follows a) it is TIGHT! I thought we were going to have to wait for a table but, they squeezed us right next to another party. b) it is LOUD! I had trouble hearing the person across the table from me. I will come back but, it will have to be at an off-hour!

Wonderful Italian Treat

By CandyNh |

We found this restaurant and were able to book on RESY same day for 830 pm. The restaurant was hopping! I ate the wood grilled calendar with zucchini and green mango - so great! Caesar salad very fine. Also got lamb pizza made in wood fired pizza oven and seafood pasta. The seafood was done so perfectly I have never had lobster that good! Definitely a place to get authentic Italian in a casual environment. Man told us we had to get the coffee rubbed skirt steak which many enjoyed around us and also the branzino. Nice portions, friendly staff who kept our water glasses filled. Only dress cool, the pizza oven kept it warm.

Small But Quaint Spot Near TImes Square

By mgargiles |

Dined here as a couple with toddler after a day of Christmas festivities. The restaurant is not very large, but it has a warm feel to it, and you don't feel cramped. They have a drink and wine list, but I opted for a house sangiovese - nothing special but a nice compliment for the meal. We started out with the shishito peppers, which were cooked just right, in a tasty, yet not overpowering oil mixture. The brussel sprouts were tasty, slightly charred, and served with italian sausage. None of the sprouts were tough and chewy, which can often happen, although some of the italian sausage was a little hard -- overall, 2 good and flavorful side dishes. Next, the margarita pizza was tasty, crispy on the bottom and a tasty sauce and cheese combination. Note, they do offer gluten free options for pizza. I ordered the fusilli bolognese (meat sauce), and they were able to substitute with gluten-free penne, which was good. The sauce was rich and tasty, and filling at the same time. The wild salmon dish was tasty, with a lot of noticeable different herbs and seasonings on it. Overall, an enjoyable meal. It was busy, given the time and date, but the service was quick and we were in and out in under an hour.

Super food and friendly service

By Arfmartin |

We were greeted with warm smiles and with no booking on a Saturday night, welcomed to sit at the bar for our meal. This was perfect, relaxed and busy at same time and really great food too! Brilliant staff who smiled constantly!

2nd visit - didn't disappoint

By TheForce11 |

Love the atmosphere and the food here. Cocktails are nice too. Portion sizes are more European which was refreshing for an American Italian place. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and not a tourist trap.

By Don O |

My second visit and just as good as the first. Great homemade pasta and chicken parm. Beer selection is ok but not extensive.

Decent place for Italian food. Prices are good for Manhattan. It was handy to our hotel on a cold night.

Nice ambience, ok food but pricey for what it was

My partner had a starter which was fine. We both had mains - his pizza wasn’t great, lacked in taste; though my veggie meal was good. My pudding was pretty tasteless. The wine was quite expensive BUT for New York it was within an average range. The service was good and the staff friendly and polite.

Dinner before Theater- You will love this midtown gem

Excellent service- they move quickly but do not rush you before theater opens. We went on a Tuesday eveming- was extremely crowded. Shared the margherita pizza & the Lobster cream pasta- AMAZING. The nutella brownie is a must with capuccino. Prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly. I will be going back for a business lunch soon.

Were in the city for the day. It was lunchtime, we were hungry and wanted a place to sit and enjoy our food. We stumbled upon this place. Menu looked good so in we went. Good service and good food. Would go back .
