Excellent food, good service, fun and hip ambience!

By Jan W |

We went to Noi Due (dairy) on a Sunday for lunch before taking the short walk to Lincoln Center for a show. Five of us ordered five different dishes, and not one of us was disappointed! The avocado sandwich with fresh mozzarella on really good ciabatta was fresh, generous, and flavorful, as was the grilled eggplant sandwich on top quality seeded whole grain bread. Pastas were prepared perfectly al dente with really good sauces. Salmon, the only fish available on the day we were there, was an excellent fillet, very fresh and perfectly cooked. An order of truffle fries for the table was quickly devoured and about the best we have ever had. Our grandchildren loved the hot chocolate. Two desserts, a flourless chocolate ganache and a dolce de leche cake were both well-above average. Service was attentive, friendly, and patient. Ambience is hip bistro style—very pleasant and fun. Price, especially for a kosher restaurant, was reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. We're looking forward to trying the new meat restaurant next door—although those prices appear to be quite high. We'll definitely go back to the dairy side.

Heavenly food

By AdinaHagege |

Went with a friend fire an early dinner. Really nice vibe (tho unfortunately not on the street). Great service—lots of super-attentive staff. And food was out of this world. We had braised cauliflower and Mac-n-cheese balls for starters. And then super-large portioned salad for main.

Good food and service

3 stars for food quality 1 star for being ridiculously stingy- asked to add more milk to the $7.5 coffee and was declined !!!

Wow Just Wow

By Charles L |

Wow!! I cannot explain how good this place is. One problem, they do not take reservations. If you want to eat pretty much right when you walk in then you have to know when to go. If you want to go between 5:30 and closing they you have to be prepared to wait 1. To be seated 2. To get food But in my opinion it is completely worth it. There pizza, mozzarella sticks and pasta are spectacular. Sometimes they will deliver but it is also easy just to order in advance and pick up at the store. My family and I love this place and for tourists it's a must.

Dairy and Parve

By Dan834 |

This is a kosher restaurant. You can get non meat items. Some might have dairy products and anything fruit or vegetable is OK. I had fish and it was very good. It is popular and will be crowded, even on week nights. It has an Italian emphasis. You can go to a kosher meat restaurant upstairs.

great mik restaurant

Kosher, Italian, Trendy

By Eugene W |

The only downside is that NoiDue does not take reservations; all the rest is truly first-rate - the waiter was super friendly and amazingly knowledgeable. The food (both the gnocchi and fish special/trout) was very tasty and delicate, and the service rather fast by NYC standards. Make sure you come early, as it may become crowded pretty fast (esp. on Thu night - which I guess serves as a testimony by its own right), but the wait is usually not that long anyway. Bottom line - 100% recommended.

It was OK

By zfel |

The food was OK. the portions were quite skimpy for the price. We were there for dinner and ordered a pasta dish. The bowl wasn't even full and you would think for the price of pasta they would fill it so you walked out full. I don't remember the price but it is pricey. Also, when it is busy, which it is, it can be quite stuffy and claustrophobic, being in the basement and small. But the food tasted fine and the staff were OK.

3rd Time I was there

By David Z |

I had been to this restaurant at least twice before, I believe in my last review I said how nice it was, & I mentioned it was a little pricey or should I say pricey for me, but a nice place. So tonight while out I said to my friend I know a nice place I have been there before, & she said sure lets go. So we went & as I mentioned it is still a nice place, with nice people serving etc etc, , BUT OMG they gave us the tiniest portions I actually had the manager come over & show him just how little soup I was given for $15.00 He said I am sorry & I will get you more soup, he came back with & I am not exaggerating you can ask my friend the equivalent of 3 more spoonfuls. & I have to say her order was a tiny portion too, mind you she said, "Yes David it is a nice place & the food is good, But for $25 I would have thought my portion would have been larger." Oh well . . . .

Great experience

By Talitop |

We went there for dinner tonight, but one of our party is gluten-free. To our surprise they even had gluten-free pizza's and the pizza was amazing. I had a regular Margarita, this was the best pizza I've ever eaten. The also the service was amazing. We will for sure come back there!!!!!

Bah

We had a quick dinner here. Party of 4. There is nothing good to say about this place. The food was simply not good. Also, the waiter kept on pouring me wine even though I told him twice not to.

Great kosher meal

By Jacqui Freeman |

Had a delicious lunch. 4 of us shared a salad, a pizza and gnocchi and an amazing hulumi cheese starter. Good service, gorgeous atmosphere, overall excellent value for money. One of my best kosher meals in NYC.

GOOD - But pricey

By David Z |

I had gone to this restaurant with a friend who was in on Business from out of town a year or so ago, Ever since I wanted to go back, I just wanted to sit in this nice well located restaurant & enjoy the French onion soup which comes in a bowl made of Bread - Yummy & fun :-) So I went with a friend this past October, we each had an Onion soup & we shared a salad - the servie was good the ambiance was still good as was the food, But It was a bit pricey, something I geuss I didnt realize last time as I didn't pay.

I wish, I wish.

By Cole d |

Very expensive italian thats kosher. Service was awful. The food was just so so. If it was not kosher, they would not be in business today.Though, the bread was good.

Pro con visit- OK food but expen$ive and seating way too close

By I visited this place🇮🇹🇺🇸🇬🇧🇳🇱🇫🇷 |

PROS * Exclusive higher- end dining experience * Good location on West Side- a short walk from American Museum of Natural History * Quality food * Kosher supervision- it is milky CONS * It is notably expen$ive * The tables are noticeably and uncomfortably close together there on the main wall "I VISITED THIS PLACE"... ... because it has the kosher supervision and it is near the American Museum of Natural History... and because that's where she decided to go. The food was OK but the portion was not large and the tables are crowded together- I had to hyoer focus on our conversation to hear and understand what she was saying because of the distracting noise of conversations on both sides. Also, the co$t of the adventure clearly dampened the experien¢e for me WAS IT WORTH THE COST? No WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN? No ADVICE from IVTP Find a place that is loess expen$ive and that has breathing space between the tables

Excellent Food & Ambiance

Mac and cheese balls?

By Judy G |

These bites are some of the best I've had in my life. This small restaurant tucked at basement level had great service and wonderful food. There was a strong attention to detail and flavors were amazing.

For every time of the Day

By Abe S |

Had dinner there last night after seeing the latest Lasse Halstrom film - The 110 Foot Journey. Yes - it was all about food - Michelin stars and there was a lot of French Food and Indian Food. So - around the corner on 69th Street off Broadway there exists a sleepy little hamlet called NOIDUE. Sounds like someone didn't pay the rent. But - it bass nothing to do with debt collection. There alas is a tag line - Poco Ma Buono - have no idea about that name as well. Originally I ate some wonderful Sunday brunches there. Shakshuka, eggs and pan inis are wonderfully made and presented. The staff is beyond friendly and inviting. You are actually met with a smile the second you walk in. We had the salmon special and added a Caprese ( mozzarella and tomatoes). You really feel like you're in Italy and I've been to Italy many times. Their sales, Pizza, Pasta and Fish dishes are all served fresh, with style & flavor. And that's what you want in any restaurant - Fresh food, taste & style. And great service. or else you can eat at home. If you have food in the fridge - which I don't. So big thumbs up for this Upper West Side icon.

Delicious kosher brunch

By ldjs |

Very tasty kosher food, mostly pastas and egg dishes and vegetarian appetisers. Delicious shakshuka and cauliflower. In our party Bronzino and mushrooms also got good reviews. Very busy, almost crowded on Sunday, but very lively vibe. Energetic and super friendly wait staff. Don’t skip coffee, cappuccinos were top notch. Nice place with good food, very nice for brunch.

The best kosher dairy and meat restaurant we've been to

By donuthole15 |

This is a very fine Italian restaurant. We've been there for dinner (fleishik) - party of seven, and lunch (dairy), party of seven. Non-kosher eaters loved the food. We keep kosher and our meals here were far-and-away the best fine dining that we had in NY (including Abigael's, My Most Favorite Food, Talia's. Service was terrific. Dinner ran about $100/person. Lunch - about $50/person.

Great Italian Dairy Glatt Kosher Delight in Upper East Side near Lincoln Center

By AmirWr |

just a short walk from Lincoln Center is Noidue. My girlfriend and me always love to eat there, lunch or dinner, the food is always fresh and delicious, be it the spinach filled cigarettes appetizer, the mushroom filled with mozzarella with a delicious tomato sauce or the homemade ravioli filled with sweet potato in mushroom sauce. And the cheese cake... Wow.... Service is sublime, very very thoughtful, the restaurant is very popular and at busy times a larger party might have to wait, but we have had the experience that with 2 or 3 people the waiting is none to little and certainly worth it if you see the service and the especially the quality of food. The prices are reasonable , all in all I would recommend this place to anyone, whether you look for a kosher lunch/dinner or not and should you already plan to visit the Lincoln center it's a great combo or the other way... Have a walk there later ;)

Worst service and nastiest servers and unaccomodating

By celia |

The food is great here but the service is absolutely awful and the staff is extremely nasty and rude. They could not care less about you but they sure know how to expect a nice tip. Went with my baby and husband and literally couldn’t even get a high chair for my baby because they were being cheap with them and reserving the last one but meanwhile they don’t take reservations so I don’t know who it was reserved for as if I’m not a paying customer. So we had to use our stroller which was annoying because my baby kept fussing to come out and the waiters made it a big deal that it was taking up space like it was my fault and one of the waitresses kept pushing the stroller into my pregnant belly to move it out of the way. But not understanding why because all the tables around us were empty. And we had to whistle to get our water refilled and our waiter got one of my things on the order wrong and got mad at us for his mistake. Literally very uncomfortable not a pleasant atmosphere at all.

Good food and service

By Traveler_Eyal |

We enjoyed dinner with friends and family. The food is not remarkable but it is mostly very satisfying. Tuna burger was delicious. Eggplant parmigiana also very good.

Nice & tasty restaurant, with good atmosphere.

By jacob025 |

Kosher Italian wonderfull restaurant we will eat there again for sure.

simply good

By elib_travels |

Although it was a bit crowded for a late sunday lunch the service was pretty quick. I ordered a La Salute salad and my wife the Quattro Formaggi, while a friend ordered the Sole Francese. All were excellent although it was a bit noisy and the tables were kind of close together. .

DELICIOUS!

By shaseezy |

LOVED this place. We had a fabulous time with an excellent waitress, who gave us wonderful suggestions to complete our meal and our overall experience. We would go back here in a heartbeat! The only slight downside is that they don't take reservations, so you have to be ready for a wait most of the time. It's WORTH IT!

Rudeness

By aurelia l |

The food was really good. However, the manager Levish was very rude and that ruined the end of our evening.

Good, but expensive

By Harry A |

Nice place with some really good food. A surprising amount of seating for a NYC restaurant, with a really nice decor. The staff was friendly and the we enjoyed the food. It is very expensive, though. If you don't mind the price, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Excellent all around

By Steve L |

Our party of 8 @ Sunday brunch ordered 7 entrees and 3 appetizers. All were delicious and beautifully presented. And, our waiter was extremely attentive, efficient and friendly. This is one of very few Kosher restaurants in which I don't feel like I am compromising on quality of food, experience or value. We can't wait to return and to try their adjacent meat restaurant.

Food ok. price very high. In basement

By Betsalel |

We went there on the evening. We live in paris wich is knowen to be a place where kosher is not cheap and the price here were much higher than for rhe same thing in paris. A lot of noise. the food was well for a kosher america but it was just a pizza or salades

Definitely did not meet our expectations

By use_2_love_2_travel |

We arrived for dinner at the wrong time, the crowd was out the door. The restaurant does not accept reservations and even if 3 out of 4 people in a party are present they will not seat until the entire party is present. I was parking the car and they didn't consider seating my family until I returned. The decor is pleasant enough although the low ceilings and brickwork create a lot of noise bouncing around, and when added to a large crowd and background piped music, it became very difficult to speak even across the able. The menu is kosher Italian dairy and fish, with a very nice variety of choices - some standards and some we have not seen before. We had 2 soups, 2 shared appetizers , 4 entrees, 4 deserts, and 2 capuccinos. The mac and cheese balls were very good, the onion soup just so-so. The fish (3 out of the four entrees) was very fresh and very well presented. I was not impressed with the asparagus mousse beyond the fact that it exists. The one person at the table that had pasta reported that it was okay, but nothing special (she had recently spent six months in Italy. The cheese cake was wonderful (New York style not Italian - yeah), but the tow family members that were waiting all week for Tiramisu were unimpressed. While we ordered a lot of food, I was still surprised at how high the final bill was. Overall, not a place we will be returning to in the near future, except maybe for pizza.

Lots of flavor!

By Brandon M |

We visited this restaurant in a group. The food was very tasty and flavorful. I love the unique entrées that they had to offer.

Lively, Busy, Buzzy, Fun....and good food!

By ilana613 |

Visited this restaurant with a friend who is vegan and was worried as she is also a fussy vegan but we were both very happy. I loved the buzzy, lively atmosphere that wasn't too noisy and enjoyed the food although I did stuff myself with the amazing bread that they brought to the table before our meal, I was almost full before I ate my main course. The waiters were very accommodating to my friend who asked for various ingredients to be removed and others added to her vegan salad. She loved it so much she wanted to eat there again the following night.

Overall a perfect ten.

By TrozDDS |

Haven’t been here in a while and LOVED it. The service, food and staff were incredible. As soon as we were seated, Randy took our order. The staff was so attentive. The food came quick, they came to refill our water multiple times and to make sure everything was good. Each and every dish was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back!

quick and relaxing

By bigkal |

great location, with meter parking! food is tasty, service is quick and nice food options. moreover its kosher.

Good

By Frindlerta |

Restaurant is kinda small, but the food is great. Especially the Mozzarella Sticks. One of the best Italian Kosher restaurants in NYC. For some odd reason, most of the kosher restaurants in NYC seem to be either steakhouses or israeli. Come here for good Italian food.

Best kosher dairy restaurant I have eaten at!

By SgottNY |

This is my new favorite kosher dairy restaurant. Besides the fact that the food we amazing, the service was even better. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant. The maitre d came by to schmooze and make sure all was good. It was! I had the eggplant parm and my wife the fish special. Both were outstanding. Make sure to get the spinach cigars as an appetizer. Best thing I've ever tasted. Highly recommended

Great dairy dining experience

By ChasK_PortlandOR |

Noi Due has two kosher restaurants, a meat and a dairy. We made reservations for 4:30 PM to give us lots of time before an 8 PM Broadway show. The dairy one is below sidewalk level, brick-lined, cozy, but by Manhattan standards, not overcrowded and not really noisy, partly because it’s so small that there’s not a huge crowd. The 5 of us shared artichoke pizza, penne, salad, etc. Not cheap, but the quality of everything was what you’d expect from a master chef. Pasta was done just right, al denote, the sauce wonderful, the pizza was one of the best we’ve had outside of Italy. Waiter was attentive but not intrusive. The selection of wine-by-the-glass was reasonable for a restaurant, around $14 per glass, with the second glass at half that price. We visit Manhattan once or twice a year, and this was the best meal experience I can remember having had in the city. I’ll look forward to our next visit.

nothing special

By Gettysburghalo |

I don't understand the restaurant's hype. Food was average while prices were extremely high. Manager was quite rude to the waiters so that was a bit uncomfortable to see.

Quick Early Dinner

By Jonathan Y |

Had an early dinner. Very good pasta dish. Good service. A little cramped. Food was brought to us very quickly. Would go again.

Nt great

By Audrey44855 |

Disappointing and pricey. Mediocre "NY style"pizza. Good courteous service. Nice menu. But not good value fir what you get.

Great for vegetarians and keepers of kosher

By David W |

NoiDue ("We Two," I believe) surpasses the limits it sets on itself: It's a kosher Italian restaurant. Since to keep kosher you can't serve meat and dairy together, NoiDue makes the obvious choice for an Italian restaurant of going the dairy route. It is functionally a vegetarian restaurant that has a bunch of fish dishes too. My wife and I are vegetarians, which to us means abjuring fish, so we stuck with the many non-fish options. The food was fresh and good. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The price was high given that this is an informal restaurant with good but not outstanding food: we paid $60 each for an appetizer, entree, glass of wine, and an espresso. For NYC, that's not crazy expensive, although $12 for a bowl soup and $24 for an eggplant parmigiana is a bit much. On the other hand, maintaining a kosher restaurant can be expensive. (Note that you can easily be at a kosher restaurant and not know it. Keeping kosher means following very specific rules about how the food is prepared, and the sources of the ingredients.) The servings were substantial. The eggplant parm was made from fresh, breaded eggplant and served with what seemed like a home-made tomato sauce, which was perhaps a tad too sweet for my taste. My wife enjoyed her gnocchi in Alfredo sauce, although it was herbed in a way that I didn't care for, but that's just a matter of personal taste. The French onion soup was delicious and hearty. The spinach rolls were thin and crispy finger food with a little bowl of tomato sauce to dip them into -- maybe more fun than tasty. We had a good meal and a good time. We would go back again.

Rude Manager

By Gershon C |

Confusing information about opening hours on Saturday night and different messaging from a Restaurant Manager who was most unhelpful and rude when dealing with a queue of people waiting in the cold outside.

excellent food at good prices!

By savtanee |

This is my go-to place for lunch or dinner before an evening at the ballet or opera. A little noisy but the food is always fresh and delicious.

The best food and staff!!!!!

By leeannHW |

These folks understand customers. They are extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. We had the tuna burgers which were out of this world. Made in-house from fresh fish, not from frozen delivered patties. Served with guacamole, caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce. We had sweet potato fries on the side. Mouth watering all around.

Very, very good food

By jeremybot |

I've been to NoiDue probably 15 times and its always a good meal. It's a little pricey because its kosher but I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered from there. They don't take reservations so it can be crowded on a nice day on the weekend and a wait can often be expected, yet is always worth it

I still dream of the Arrabiata

By MCavill |

Omg! I can still taste the meal I had. My friends and I attended this location and we had Margherita Pizza , Mazzarelle and Arrabbiata. The meals were to die for! The Marinara sauce was soooo good I ordered it to bring home. Our waiter that night was superb, sadly can’t remember his name. I think he was new to Nyc and he has glasses. We attended around 10:20~ on October 23. I cannot wait to go back again. Keep up the good work.

Fabulous Labor Day Lunch

By Shoshana M |

My husband and I dined at this restaurant on Labor Day and we loved it! When calling to make a reservation, I was told it must be made online. A credit card is required to complete the reservation and the website informed that a $100 cancellation fee would be charged if we don't show. We arrived a few minutes early and had to wait about five minutes to be seated. Seating is currently outdoors due to COVID-19 restrictions, however, Noi Due created a beautiful and comfortable dining space. Service was excellent and prompt and the food was extremely tasty! Looking forward to returning!

Very good

By Sharon B |

This is a really nice restaurant and the food is excellent. Service is excellent and with lots of ambience. loads to eat for vegetarian, which really recommend this restaurant.

All tasted the same

Disappointed with this meal and found it very expensive . Everything Tasted the same . It is very popular they don't take bookings . The dolce desert was the highlight

Excellent Italian food

Yum! Wonderful gluten free eggplant mozzarella. My kids loved the sweet potato fries. I loved them too. So delicious. They had a dessert they loved too. Overall a great dairy restaurant.

Average Kosher Italian

By Hillary L |

Celebrated a birthday dinner on Monday night at 7:00pm with a medium-size group of friends. We ordered a variety of appetizers to share. All were good. The main dishes were served fairly quickly for our size group and were hot and good. The restaurant was lively and bustling and we had very good waiter service who were attentive and helpful with a constant smile. The maître d completely ruined the evening when he approached our table as we started to sing the first words to happy birthday when the cake arrived with a candle lit. He started to yell at us for being too loud (there were 2 other birthday prior to ours with no interruption, but rather inclusion). I asked to speak to him privately and he continued in a high volume that we were just too loud. I asked him to not speak over me and as the customer we were very offended and continued by stating that he was sorry we felt this way. This is not a high-class, white tablecloth restaurant. Our evening was completely ruined by the rudeness of this employee. While the food was good, it was average. The wait staff were the best part of the evening. After a full discussion at the table, but for the actions of the maître d, we will not be repeat costumers.

Great Ambiance, Food and Service

By milton d |

This is a great place to go on a date. The ambiance is beautiful, very cozy. The food came out quickly and tasted really good. Additionally, our waiter was very polite and courteous. One thing that bothered me was the price of the food.

Kosher, Italian and Vegetarian in one!

By lone6star |

Heard a lot about this place and decide to come here to celebrate a special occasion. First time here! Located on the corner of West 69th st in NYC you could walk past this building and not even realize that a restaurant exists here down a flight of stairs from street level! Got here around 6:15 pm for dinner and place was about 80 percent full on a Monday night. Dark place, no wall decorations whatsoever, but that doesn't detract from the great service and food! Dress code---there is none! Our server was quite patient and explained everything. They bring you free bread and olive olive oil. Try the cigar rolled spinach, excellent appetizer. Drinks came out right away followed by appetizers. Place does get noisy and it is hard to hear conversations of your own party! There was a delay of some time for our entrees to come out, but once they came out, it was worth the wait. Portions are good, and the food was very tasty and served at the right temperature. Appetizers run from $11 -15, Entrees from $21 for Pasta to $46 for Sea Bass. Pizza from $15 - 21. Dessert is quite expensive---$14 for a small slice of cheesecake! Eggplant parmigiana, lasagna and Gnoke were excellent entrees. Parking via street meters and parking garages. Subways are nearby as are mass transit buses. Would come back here, but would not order the dessert, as it is over-priced!

Beyond Surprised

By Ceaserr |

Service perfect, consistent and knowledgable . Great vibe in restaurant, food was by far the best during our stay in NYC. The Sole special simply a joy to eat. Suggest booking after 7pm

Kosher dairy heaven!

By MichaelMeir26 |

Excellent kosher dairy restaurant. We had the mozarella sticks, spinach cigars and macaroni balls for entrees but we really recommend the macaroni balls they stand out in their rose sauce. The chop chop salad was pretty fresh and came in a good size portion too and their ravioli are excellent. Also, for halav israel, we were really surprised by the quality of their cheesecake. Next time we'll try their pizza which looked great!

Excellent service and food

By qsman |

Be advised this establishment does not take reservations. We timed our visit to arrive just after opening. I took DW here after reading the positive reviews on TA and was not disappointed. We started with drinks - frappuccino and hot chocolate. We shared the stuffed mushroom appetizer - the sauce was bursting with flavor and I dont think I will ever eat marinara sauce from a can again. For the main, DW ordered the olive pizza - I'm not an olive person but the dough was crispy and not soggy at all. I had the grilled bronzini - absolute heaven, tender and fresh. Dessert we shared duc la leuche - delicious. Service from Beth was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu and very patient with our questions. There is also a cocktail menu that does not appear on the website. A most excellent experience to celebrate a special occasion

Nice atmosphere. the food was amazingly delicious. NO reservations so could be long wait. Very nice staff

Great food and nice atmosphere

By Chanchab |

We love eating at Noi due! The food is really good! From starters through entrees to dessert The managers are nice but the service is a bit arrogant and could use some improvement The tables are a bit too close together for comfort

Delicious food, we will return.

By Brendon61 |

We were greeted in and swiftly shown to our table. Patrick ("the menu whisperer") looked at us, then suggested a few dishes. These felt like spot on. We settled in to watch the scene. Atmosphere is noisy but not without a romantic touch. Our food arrived soon. The succulent Orata (a special) was truly memorable, crispy and full of flavour. We hope to return soon.

Great Kosher Italian Vegetarian Cuisine

By Arthur G |

We recently had an amazing dinner with wonderful appetizers, salads, main courses and phenomenal desserts at Noi Due Cafe. Our friends keep kosher and gave us a choice of restaurants and we liked the menu at this lovely restaurant off Amsterdam Avenue on 68th Street. We started with a few appetizers: fried macaroni and cheese balls and spinach "cigars".i ordered the Ceasar Salad with a side of salmon. The salad was tasty and the salmon was perfectly seasoned.flr dessert we shared a slice of cheesecake and Teramasu . Both desserts were awesome ! While we eat in all different kinds of restaurants and initially only came here because of our friend's dietary needs, my wife and I are looking forward to returning soon ( even without our friends!).

A Long Wait Outside in the Elements to Get In

By Orchbass |

This place in the basement is small - very(!) small so no matter what time you show up, it's pretty much a sure thing you'll be forced to wait outside with the mob before you'll be called downstairs when a table eventually opens up. Whether in the blistering heat of summer or the frigid cold of winter, you will be outside with the throng pushing into the stairwell for who knows how long before you're let in. This said, it would be a good display of common courtesy to not block the residential entrance of 143 W. 69th. Street and ESPECIALLY to not park your butt on their stairs. Also, the sidewalk in front of the stairwell which leads down into this basement eatery is quite narrow, so as a courtesy to pedestrians you won't want to block the walkway in clumps even when the stairwell is overflowing with people waiting to be allowed in either. The restaurant next door at 141 W. 69th. Street, Noi Due Carne is owned by the same proprietor and has an entranceway set off the sidewalk so it would be better to conglomerate outside there while you wait in the elements for a table. This way, you will not be blocking a residential entranceway or the sidewalk either. They even have a couple of chairs in front of 141 set out for sitting.

Overpriced and very average food.

By Edgware_13 |

We were a group of 8 dining before attending Metropolitan Opera. We were seated at the back in the conservatory area rather than in main restaurant. The waitress was very pushy in terms of trying to get us to order more, and more expensive dishes (on commission as well as tips?). Food quality was nothing special, but the prices were extraordinarily high - even by New York kosher restaurant standards.

Really good KOSHER Dairy Restaurant

By Mr. Smith |

Sunday August 4/19 - The 9 Days. Very busy restaurant. We were seated at the bar within 10 minutes. They said we could eat at the bar or wait for a table. We opted for the bar. Had Penne Fungi, The pasta was VERY GOOD! They obviously had good management as they were short of NOTHING. It's such a pleasure to NOT hear 'we are out of so-and-so'. The staff was very pleasing and the prices for their entre's are well priced. What else can one ask for? We WILL return to this establishment again. Very nice place, very clean and VERY friendly. One of the reasons to return to Manhattan is to visit and enjoy your very fine dairy restaurant.

Best kosher food near Lincoln Center - Leave lots of time

By naphhof |

I have dined at NoiDue several times in the past year. It is the best kosher restaurant near Lincoln Center. The food is really good, and the service is attentive. The room is a bit overcrowded, and the noise level can be high when a lot of teenagers are present. Reservations are not accepted, and I have had to wait over half an hour for a table. You would be well advised to dine early if you have a 7:30 curtain. I would not show up later than 6.

Small portions , high price, average food.

By pauldsor |

Great to have somewhere Open late. Unfortunately Small portions, average quality and average service with VERY high prices.

Good Italian food

By Dollface23 |

I met my cousins here for dinner and really enjoyed the pasta dishes we ordered. The pasta portions were quite large and very good. Two in our party had fish specials and really enjoyed them. I thought the prices were fair for NYC but I felt the beer was very overpriced! The waiter was very attentive and helpful. The food was slow in arriving but the small restaurant was packed. Very good.

i love this kosher dairy resturant

whole family - 5 of us had a great dinner last night . key on sunday or everynight is to get there before the rush - between 5-6 pm. got a parking across the street - salads , fish , pasta - all were great

Nice place but not great food (really heavy), service ok

By cactussina |

The place is nice, cozy, but the food is not so good. I'm Italian and I found the pizza there almost fried, too much oil, and I got the impression (trying the salmon) that all the food is heavy there. Tiramisù is good, carrot cake to avoid.

Decent Italian Restaurant in Lincoln Center area

By Jonathan F |

We were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant near Lincoln Center to eat before a show. NoiDue fit the bill. There is a wide selection of pastas and pizzas - all vegetarian since it is a kosher restaurant. You can mix and match pasta types and sauces which is a nice feature. The food was pretty good and the service was OK. It is on the basement level, so easy to miss, and there is zero ambiance to speak of. We beat the crowds so we had no trouble getting a table for dinner, but by the time we left it was crowded and very noisy.

Good

By Cbass03 |

This is a kosher restaurant and is dairy. Good Pizza, but pricey (like all kosher restaurants). Mozzarella sticks were a must.

Anniversary dinner

By Michelle B |

25th anniversary for my son and his wife, 51st anniversary for us, and a randdaughter off to see the ballet with us at Lincoln Center. As kosher diners, we picked a place most convenient. Food was excellent, service very good, noise -well what can I say. It was noisy. But fine. Prices on the high side.

Good food but a bit pricey

By Joseph F |

We had an early dinner for two. Service quite good and if you're looking to get in and out in an hour this is a great place. Place is noisy but not to the point of being annoying. Appetizers are very good. The fish special main course was excellent. Really enjoyed the sangria. Dessert was a bit disappointing. I ordered gelato which turned out to be just ice cream that they call gelato. All in all it's a good place for a solid dinner but don't expect to have a quiet leisurely dining experience here. That being said, it is a bit overpriced.

Nice dinner with friends

By tjberman |

I came here with friends the other night. We had a lovely evening with a few standout dishes. The green health salad- with mint, parsley and celery was excellent. As we're both of our desserts, a cheese cake and a peanut butter cake. The waiter was attentive and friendly. I would come again.

Noi Due - Highly recommended resteraunt to visit in NYC

By Conor Doyle |

One of the top resteraunt experiences from a recent trip to New York. The service was excellent, food was of the highest quality with the chef team doing a really good job with textures, flavours and overall food quality. If dining out in New York would highly recommend this venue.

looking forward to going back

By Charles D |

it is a great restaurant in a basement building but worth it The food is excellent my wife had fish and one of the best pieces she has eaten I had pasta also great they do not take reservations the only drawback. It was busy we went early to make sure we were seated the wait staff was out of this world happy friendly knowledgeable and helpful

Great whole wheat pizza

By Josh L |

We wandered into Noi Due after a day of walking around Central Park. We didn't know anything about it except the name and location. It turns out this was the first Kosher Italian restaurant we had ever been to - - - or even heard of. We wound up sharing a "Chop Chop" salad. It must have been a special because it was not on the printed menu. It was fresh romaine, onions, celery and a few other veggies and goat cheese(?) - chopped up into 2 carat diamond sized bits. When it came to the table it was piled high - like a tall mound of salad. It was delicious. A great way to serve a salad. With a little bread on the side it would have made a huge single meal. Then we shared a 12" Margherita whole wheat pizza. The pizza came thin, crispy and covered with fresh sauce and cheese. Just enough topping. Just the way I like it. There were plenty of other Italian dishes on the menu but I'd probably order the pizza again next time. It was a strange experience being in a restaurant fully decorated in a traditional Italian style where there were so many men - workers and diners - wearing yarmulke. I felt transported. The place was immaculate & the service friendly.

great kosher food

By yitz_1 |

The food here is very tasty. The waiters are knowledgeable and helpful. It is a bit crowded and they don't take reservations, so at busy times you have to wait for a table. There are lots of young people here.

Good food but noisy

By Jeremy S |

Some important things to know before heading to NoiDue; they don't take reservations and they are located in the downstairs part of a building so you have to be careful when you're looking for them. That being said, the service was wonderful and the waiter explained the specials and answered any questions we had about the menu patiently. The food was great. I had a margarita pizza, homemade mozzarella sticks, cesear salad topped off with new york cheesecake. The only drawback for me was the noise. I went with a friend. I wouldn't suggest going on initial dates there. Just my opinion.

Great food, cool place

By Harry A |

This was our second time here. We came to meet friends who were in from out of the country, and they picked up the check. I must say, the experience is a lot more enjoyable when you don't have to foot the bill - the food here is expensive. Food is delicious, ambiance and decor are very cool, and the staff were very friendly. The food came out quickly, and in good portions. If you don't mind the price, I would definitely recommend Noi Due.

Night Out with Friends

By Leah Z |

Perfect from beginning to end. While NoiDue cannot take credit for the great company, they can certainly claim the delicious food and reasonably good service. We ordered an array of appetizers, soups, mains and desserts to share, no cocktails or wine. The cigars were a hit as was the Chilean Sea Bass and the gnocchi, although one of the group never received her group. The wait staff was attentive, refilling breadbaskets, water, replacing utensils and providing extra plates for sharing. I was expecting very small portions based on other reviews, but they were quite respectable.

Horrible People and an Even Worse Neighbor!

By Orchbass |

This evening, one of the employees (the owner, possibly?) accosted and harassed me in front of where I live over my TRUTHFUL review! It only gets worse I guess. When this place was being considered for residence in our building's basement, we all had a vote in the matter. After being assured they'd be a good neighbor, they opened and proved they are not. Now they are accosting me at my home. Awful people!

Good food, great service, small treasure in the city

By Cee T |

Went late last night as they were about to close. They seated us and they were very professional and helpful. The food came quickly and it was real good. The pasta and salad were both delicious. It was my first visit and I will definitely be back. Dessert was also really tasty! Beer and wine are served.

Great place for pizza and Italian -

By pplondon |

An excellent small restaurant serving great Italian food with an advantage of being Kosher, so great for some friends.

Despite calling for a party of 4 adults and 3 children and arriving at 8 30 pm our table was not available were told it would be available in 30 minutes. An hour and an a half later it was not available so we went to another fine kosher restaurant nearby and our table was available in 5 minutes and our food orders were taken in ten minutes. The noidu has good expensive food having eaten there approx 5 previous times but cannot handle parties over 4 people quickly in an hour and a half or less on sat night My biggest complaint is that they were not truthful in telling us that we would be seated in 30 then 30 then 20 then 30 the in 5 minutes which never happened. Go if your dinner party is 2 to 4 people and want an extremely noisy ambience

New York’s Best-Kept Kosher Secret--Italian Food to Die For

By Michael W From Jerusalem |

New York’s Best-Kept Kosher Secret I am writing this review against my own better interests. “Why,?” you ask. Here’s the reason. People who know about Noi Due Restaurant love it and want to keep it hidden (down the stairs on West 69th street) for two reasons: 1. because it is already too crowded at certain hours; 2. because we do not want to share great but perishable discoveries with friends. The food here is simply superb: non-meat Italian cuisine that happens to be kosher. For those who love pasta dishes and pizza, this is obviously a great choice, but Noi Due excels at fish dishes which are unfailingly fresh—in every sense. They have more ways to serve salmon, bass, bronzini and tuna than you can imagine. All of them are great, even sublime. The salads are superb, and the pastries and desserts are what old-time New Yorkers used to call: “to die for.” Try some of their chocolate variations or the cheese cakes or terra mi sou. The waiters explain the dishes well, and it is wise to ask them about daily specials and what they recommend. If they speak too quickly, make them say it again, so that you can hear them above the occasionally loud background conversation. It is worth it to hear all the items. There are a number of great items that do not appear explicitly on the menu because they are not strictly “Italian.” One of them is the Mozarella Basket with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and a divine sauce. Also ask about the "cigars" made of salmon or spinach, which is a kind of southern Italian or Moroccan twist. Noi Due has some draw-backs: 1. It is closed on Fridays and only opens late on Saturday (after the Jewish Sabbath). 2. It is not open for breakfast, and only opens relatively late (11AM) for lunch-brunch on Sunday mornings. 3. It really does not take reservations, and if you come at 6pm, you are probably going to have to wait for a table. 4. When you get seated, you may feel the chairs are a little tough on the rear end. But look at the bright side. If you are willing to come in early for dinner or wait a few minutes for seating, or, if you want a great lunch, this is the place. We have been here more than 20 times, and we have never regretted it.

Back back for a third time tonight. My birthday treat!!

By Cee T |

My sons took me out for my birthday. It was busy and we had to wait for about 20 minutes, but it was well worth the wait. We all loved the food...and we are a tough group to please. The service is fantastic and the staff are attentive and helpful. Food is delicious. It quieted down at about 845 pm. So, if you don't want to wait in line, come a bit later. That might work. They don't accept reservations...so be prepared to wait a few minutes.

Pricey meal, but it didn't feel that way

By Bonnie R |

This is a very loud, cramped space and there's a good chance you won't be able to carry on a conversation. Prices were pretty high -- $44 for sole, $24 for eggplant parmigiana -- and the portion size is on the small side. I realize that kosher restaurants are generally more expensive to run, but really, do you need to charge $12 for a bowl of minestrone soup? That said, I know that options are limited for kosher customers, so I'm sure having a place that serves more than matzo ball soup is very appreciated. I just wish it was a more comfy experience.

Cosy little hideaway right at Central Park

Great italian place in NY - small, cosy, not touristic at all, good service and great food! Wood fired pizza... Highly recommended

BEYOND CONSISTANTLY GOOD IN EVERY WAY

By Abirdie1 |

This restaurant is ALWAYS wonderful...from the servers (any restaurant that has such a high retention rate must be a great place to work...and the servers are young/educated/attractive and could easily get a job elsewhere if they wanted to) to the management (Golan is hands down a great example of a natural born hard working, innovative and honest entrepreneur) to the food (AMAZING every time). The food is literally so consistently delicious that it defies odds. Writing this review actually makes me want to go there...NOW! We always know that eating at Noi Due is going to be perfect every time....the ONLY thing that ever mucks up the experience is our kids not wanting to sit at the table for an entire meal! :-) The atmosphere, though a weensy bit loud at times, is very cozy and could be considered homey OR romantic depending on how the individual diners want to perceive it. There is always a mix of dating couples, friends and families of all configurations...and every single person ALWAYS looks happy happy :-) This place is a 100% sure bet every time. I wish I could run a business as smoothly operating as this one is. PERFECTION on every level. Treat yourself and find your new favorite restaurant by going to Noi Dui ASAP. (I lurrrrrve this place ALOT can you tell????)

Best Kosher Meat Restaurant in NY

By Steve P |

We have eaten in the dairy Kosher Italian what restaurant right next door and have always had a nice meal. So when they opened a Kosher meat restaurant we decided to try it. These restaurants have about the highest level of Kashrut in the city and also enjoy a reputation for good food at somewhat reasonable prices. Well, we were not disappointed - in the food that is. The prices are high - probably in line with other Kosher meat restaurants in the city. But with some judicious ordering we were able to get a nice meal at somewhat less than exorbitant prices. The service here is excellent, with plenty of wait staff who were all pleasant and attentive. My granddaughter and I split a nice prime steak which was sliced for us, so it was easy to split. The steak was probably large enough for three. And it was cooked just right - pink in the middle, a little well done on the ends. We had sides of fried cauliflower and sweet potato fries. ( in truth, the fires could have been more crisp). My wife had a rigatoni bolognese, with a veal ragu sauce. Again, the serving was large and she probably could have gotten away with the appetizer size. But it was good. We ended the meal with a nice mixed berry sorbet on some real blueberries. Yum. If you are looking for a good Kosher restaurant on the upper West side, meat or dairy, we suggest you try these two. You won’t go wrong.

Awesome! Worth the wait!

By Judluv17 |

We waited an hour for a table on a Saturday night. but totally worth the wait. Must try the stuffed mushrooms and mozzarella basket and the caramel cream cake for dessert.

$O $ALTY

By agl120854 |

Food was ok at least that which was edible. Burgers and fries good and for $38 they should be. $10 for a beer?? Meatballs salty, dry and hard. Spaghetti and sauce should have had enough salt to melt those meatballs if they had been ice. They were very busy so i guess the pricrs do not deter Service good but impatient

Good Italian place

By King-ChristianIV |

Went in for a quick lunch. Fast seating and great service. The pizza was served fast, with a smile and was tasty. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Good kosher dairy upper west side option

By dcdriver |

Went to Noidue with a friend on a snowy Sunday afternoon and it was just right. Very crowded (not a lot of good kosher dairy options in the area) and we weren't really able to sit comfortably without continuing to order for the two hours we were there but I guess that's fair. Pizza, sweet potato fries, vegetable soup, mozzarella sticks, and lots of coffee and iced tea were all excellent, and the service - impatient as it was - was very good. Everything was typically pricey for that neighborhood, so guess it was therefore reasonable. They don't take reservations, so we were actually lucky to get a table at all (probably because we showed up just a few minutes after it opened). Very nice restaurant.

Unique Kosher-dairy Italian restaurant

By drlaz |

Five stars to the ciabatta sandwiches (wonderful bread), the desserts, and the lemonade. Pasta was not as good, including the spinach pasta claimed to be homemade. The basement venue is crowded, with a wait in the middle of the afternoon, and noisy, but service was fast and friendly. We knew the restaurant was someplace special when the host, who had an Israeli accent, said phrases like "Thank you" and "Did you enjoy your meal" that are not commonly heard in Israeli restaurants.

great dinner last night

5 of us went . very fast and efficient serving . got soup , olives and brochette to start . for main I had the dover sole - excellent - salads were very good - a great dinner .

Delcious food in pleasant surroundings

By JSJNY |

My wife and I enjoyed salmon in lemon caper sauce, sweet potato fires and tiramisu. Price was fair for Manhattan. The salmon was one of the best we have ever eaten (and we enjoy fish). The sweet potato fries were perfect. The tiramisu was heavenly. Truly. Our waitress had a very pleasant demeanor and made us feel very comfortable. Service was outstanding, but we came for an early lunch so it was a quiet time. It seemed very clean, too. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We hope to return in the future.

Italian Cuisine Kosher Restaurant

By Paulina |

Italian cuisine dairy kosher restaurant with a wonderful selection of delicious appetizers and entree to dessert and lattes. Great service and ambiance. Perfect for a family dinner and date night.

Enjoyable kosher meal on the UWS

By Traveler723810 |

The menu was pretty standard for an Italian restaurant. Our pasta and fish entrees were very tasty, nice wine by the glass, yummy choc cake and ice cream for dessert. We were not impressed with the appetizer we shared (mushrooms stuffed with cheese) which was not very flavorful and smothered in too much red sauce. Service quite good. Of course a bit pricey but hey that’s kosher in NYC. We ate early on a week night so not crowded, no problem as a walk-in to get a table. Conveniently located for Lincoln Center or theatre district. We would go back.

Fine Neighborhood Restaurant

By gatewoodbaseball |

Great kosher restauarant in the heart of the City. We went for Italian style dairy/fish food in the downstairs part. Meat is served upstairs in a totally separate part. Great service. Good food. Not hustled out. Range of options fish/pasta excellent.

yummy!
