An outstanding fine-dining experience for a party of seven (including three kids). We covered this in our review of Noi Due.

Trip to NYC

By Trail795781 |

Had a real italian dinner. Antipasto we had the roman artichokes, beautiful pasta and a perfectly well grilled aged 24 ounce aged steak fiorentine style. Vermouth as an appetizer, nebbiolo wine for dinner and arak tonfinish the meal. We shall come back.

Superb Italian meaty food, pricey

By Brendon61 |

Noi Due just opened a new, meaty, Italian restaurant. Five of us came to try it out. We weren't disappointed. The house's Italian specialties were simply fabulous, great quality ingredients, and full of flavour. Don't miss them out. Steaks were generous and juicy too. Service is efficient and super knowledgeable. Let them help you choose. Price came at upper end of NYC kosher standards. Place is more spacious and less busy than its milky namesake next door, the ambiance, more intimate. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Very Good

By Dan834 |

The menu is more varied than at other kosher meat restaurants. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. The food was good, every one in our party of seven enjoyed theirs but it wasn't jump-out knock your socks off great. The prices, while not cheap, are in the range of kosher meat fine dining restaurants.

Nice experience

By bonfire_12 |

We were in NYC for labour day week end. This was one of the only kosher restaurants open over the long weekend, so we were thankful for that. Our waiter was extremely pleasant. It was noisy- the layout is such that it is noisy. We ordered three rib steaks and a hamburger. The hamburger and fries were very good. Our steaks also were very good. The only "complaints": they didn't arrive hot and, I had asked the waiter if the rib steaks had bones. He said yes but in fact they didn't (and that's my favourite part of the steak!) The pareve cheesecake was enjoyed by the kids. Overall a very new ce experience It is very expensive so just be aware of that in advance. 69$ for a rib steak. 35$ for a hamburger.

High priced but worth it

By LarryRuth |

This is very unusual for a kosher restaurant, in terms of variety, unusual dishes, and service, but all this comes at a very high price dollar wise. If you can afford to splurge, come here for a special occasion and try out the dishes you will probably not see in the usual run of kosher restaurants.

expcted more

we were very excited to grab dinner at this restaurant as its sister dairy restaurant we frequent often . it was OK . hopefully the next time we come it gets better .the portions were on the small side

Just average, and overpriced

By mgreen418 |

Well, someone has to be the dissenting voice, i guess. I have eaten at pretty much every decent Kosher restaurant in Manhattan, and many in other places both in the States and in many other countries. I was excited to try this place as their dairy place is great. i was extremely disappointed at both the pricing and the quality. Those who have said this is priced the same as other restaurants are wrong. $11 for french fries places this restaurant at the top of the heap. $69 steaks puts this near the top of the heap as well, and on par with the best kosher restaurants in the CIty, which this is not. It would be fine if the food was "knock your socks off amazing", but it was just average. I opted for the incredibly overpriced burger ($34 - which places it about $10 more than most other burger places in the City) , however, i will admit, the burger was great. Perfectly done and delicious. One really good point - their single malt menu was extensive and actually, priced LOW. For Manhattan, these prices are lower than most others. That was a treat. In the end, with one drink each, the bill came to over $300. One other final positive - service was outstanding.

Must visit when in NYC

Best Kosher meat option in NYC. Very nice ambiance. Fast Service. Fantastic food quality. Returned twice in a 4 day trip.

Delicious dinner at Noi Due Carne

By Shoshana M |

We had a wonderful dinner at Noi Due. The chicken poppers were so delicious and were accompanied by a tangy sauce that very much complimented the dish. Moroccan cigars were tasty as well. We shared a rib eye steak for two and it was a specialty item available that night and not present on the menu. We did not know the price until we received the check and it was about $225. It was a delicious, expertly cooked steak and more than enough for two people, however, there was no transparency regarding the price. I found that a little bit unsettling. Dessert was the delicious pecan pie topped with ice cream and caramel sauce. We had an excellent server and we very much enjoyed the ambiance and our corner table. Unlike other kosher Manhattan restaurants, tables were not terribly close together. We did enjoy and would definitely return.

Outstanding! Great food, great service!

By Bob B |

The four of us truly enjoyed our dinner on Sunday night. Appetizers included crispy artichokes, which were unique and awesome, hot and perfectly-prepared Moroccan cigars and some brisket sliders. Then three of us had marsala dishes (veal and chicken), which were loaded up with delicious sauce and mushrooms, and one of us had their steak surprise, which was both mighty tasty and mighty. To top it off, we had their flourless ganashe chocolate cake with vanilla sorbet, to die for, and homemade mango sorbet with berries. I don't usually include the individual dishes in my reviews but did this time so that your mouth would start to water. That good! The prices for all this goodness are not low but it's a great place for a special occasion. And, oh yes, excellent service by our waiter Gabriel and the other waitstaff. Highly recommended!

Blown away that’s how great this place is!

By Elaine Y |

This was my first time at the Noi Due Carne Restaurant. I brought my family with me so there were three of us. We did not have a reservation but since we arrived around 4:30 pm we beat the rush hour and were seated by the bar. The bartender was so friendly and very informative. He made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant when we were clearly not. He made recommendations which we listened to. I asked for a glass of Dalton wine. He brought me the 2014 blend. They definitely know how to store their wine since everything about it was fabulous. We had appetizers, a main course and desert. The best was the cleaning the palate drink before we had our desert. Ask for it. It’s made with lemon. Unfortunately I no longer have the paper I wrote of all the items we had to eat but I did take pictures. I can guarantee, without hesitation that you’ll be pleased with whatever you order.

Anniversary Dinner

By Drdavid14 |

Me and my wife come to the restaurant for anniversary dinner. Waiter was really nice and did a great job. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. The food was awesome. The soup special was flavorful and hardy. The appetizer was superb and for the main course we ordered the rib steak and pasta bolognaise. Both dishes had great flavor and taste. The pasta was small but taste was on point. Overall would come back again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

By Daniel B |

Absolutely horrible experience....food was awful. We began the evening by ordering the chicken poppers. These came as four overcooked chicken meatballs which had NO flavor. Then we had the lamb flatbread which was actually quite enjoyable. After this we ordered the 24 oz 30 day dry aged ribeye steak. We requested medium rate and it came out charred and overdone. The manager apologized and said that they would like to make a new steak. The second steak was blue (as in less than rare) and beyond FATTY. See the attached picture. In reaction, the manager said "sometimes our chef has good days and sometimes he has bad days"! How can a high-end restaurant say this! BTW - we left and still spent $80 on two appetizers that were average at best. STAY AWAY

Interesting menu

By NLW333 |

Great place for an after show dinner, as it’s walking distance from Lincoln center. We enjoyed the drinks and food, in a cozy nook in the back of the restaurant. The service was good. Recommended!

What were they thinking ..?

By Rafael |

Lemon & Caper Chicken Scallopini was over cooked and drenched in oil that expired many dishes ago. My wife ordered the half chicken. - She made me promise we will never come here again. If not for the nice appetizers this review would have been even lower !! Dinner was Disappointing !!!

Almost flawless

By Edward K |

Delicious, unique, varied , well presented and KOSHER. Many specials and waitress was knowledgeable, articulate and pleasant. (It’s a good sign when she seemed to salivate just a bit as describing the dish). Food was fresh and tasty. Tomato salad was great. Salmon entre cooked to perfection. Didn’t order meat this time but it all sounded and looked great! Only criticism is they close too early! (10pm)

Noi Due Carne—Best Bet for Elegant and Tasty Kosher Italian Dinner in Manhattan

By Michael W From Jerusalem |

If you want a great Italian dinner or a great kosher meal, you don’t need to go to two different places: they’re both here at Noi Due Carne. This is the elegant younger sister of the very successful Noi Due—the kosher Italian dairy restaurant—both well located on West 69th Street. The dairy restaurant caters to a younger crowd and a lower budget. It can sometimes be a bit noisy during busy evening hours in the dairy restaurant, but the new meat restaurant is quietly elegant. Some Kosher restaurants have an unenviable reputation for sloppy service or sub-par food, but this young elegant eatery (less than a year old) produces great food with a solid Italian accent and great service. The salads and appetizers have a zesty yet complicated Mediterranean personality that meshes well with the great fish dishes and superb meat meals. Nothing is heavy, and the bar staff produces great drinks to complement the alimentary delights. I think it's wrong to call this restaurant a steak house, because its food is much more varied. Frankly, we would come just for their great appetizers and desserts. Of their mains, my wife loved the veal and chicken dishes, while I love fish dishes and the meat ball. The pastas are also wonderful. We know the other top kosher restaurants in NY, and this is really the highest standard. We have come back several times in one week, and we have never been disappointed. Highest grades.

Best Kosher Meat Restaurant in NY

By Steve P |

I just submitted this review for Noi Due when I found the separate listing for the meat restaurant. We have eaten in the dairy Kosher Italian what restaurant right next door and have always had a nice meal. So when they opened a Kosher meat restaurant we decided to try it. These restaurants have about the highest level of Kashrut in the city and also enjoy a reputation for good food at somewhat reasonable prices. Well, we were not disappointed - in the food that is. The prices are high - probably in line with other Kosher meat restaurants in the city. But with some judicious ordering we were able to get a nice meal at somewhat less than exorbitant prices. The service here is excellent, with plenty of wait staff who were all pleasant and attentive. My granddaughter and I split a nice prime steak which was sliced for us, so it was easy to split. The steak was probably large enough for three. And it was cooked just right - pink in the middle, a little well done on the ends. We had sides of fried cauliflower and sweet potato fries. ( in truth, the fires could have been more crisp). My wife had a rigatoni bolognese, with a veal ragu sauce. Again, the serving was large and she probably could have gotten away with the appetizer size. But it was good. We ended the meal with a nice mixed berry sorbet on some real blueberries. Yum. If you are looking for a good Kosher restaurant on the upper West side, meat or dairy, we suggest you try these two. You won’t go wrong

Elegant dinner on the upper west in NYC- Kosher restaurant

By Paulina |

Wonderful and elegant experience of dining. The best kosher restaurant in NYC with deliciously and impeccably prepared, and beautifully presented dishes. You can select from fish to steaks and poultry, including great appetizers such as cauliflower, soup, cigars, meat balls and many others. Decadent desserts. Great decorum and service with attentive staff. This will satisfy your taste and appetite. This restaurant has a bar as well.

What an amazing glatt kosher restaurant!!

By Gerald G |

My wife and I have frequented this establishment about 4 times over the past year, (we have season tickets to the NY Philharmonic at Lincoln Center, and have eaten dinner here after the performances). Each and every time we have eaten here, the entire staff has been amazing, proactively going out of their way to serve you the customer, being helpful in any way they can and frankly being genuinely nice and friendly - something you don't see much of these days. This incredible attitude begins at the coat check person, to the bar tender, the waiters/waitresses and even down to the busboys. As if that weren't enough, the food has always been beyond words in terms of presentation, heavenly flavor, freshness and originality. There is no long wait to be served and or get your food brought to your table. The venue itself is stylish, cozy, clean and very inviting. While it may not be the cheapest place in town, my wife and I have learned that the adage, "you get what you pay for" is absolutely true, especially this day and age. We would strongly recommend Noi Due Carne to anyone who seeks quality and top service. We intend to try their dairy establishment at the upper west side location and look forward to that experience. Tip - make sure to make a reservation because this place fills up real fast.

Chic European intimate restaurant

By marcopolopaloalto |

Nuidue Carne Upscale, chic European ( Italian?) restaurant that was a joy to dine at. Intimate, sparkling clean white interior and the back room has a glass ceiling enclosure. Excellent food and service ... a delightful surprise to find this kosher restaurant with a nice wine list to boot. Burgers, steaks, chicken in lemon caper sauce, and vegetarian choices. The introductory breads and little plates of hummus and baba ghanoush set the tone for the good food to follow. Excellent, professional service

Mother and daughter dinner

By Paulina |

This is a kosher restaurant located in close proximity to Lincoln Center, and Metropolitan Opera and NYC Ballet, offering an elegant ambiance and decor, with delicately prepared and presented dishes. A perfect place for date dinner and family dinner. This restaurant is suitable for family with teens rather than young children. There is a bar area with a large assortment of cocktails and drinks as well as desserts.

An overused word: amazing

By Bethamy |

Can’t say enough about our dinner here. Everything was superb. My rib eye was perfectly cooked and the best steak I have ever eaten. The sweetbreads were perfection. The vegetables were succulent. The veal saltimbocca was luscious. The chocolate lava cake was beyond delicious. And the service was incredibly attentive. Just a fabulous dining experience.

A terrible and unsafe place

By Ian C |

Dirty, unsafe and terrible food. No one was wearing masks, it was incredibly dirty, and the food, which took two hours to get, was not what we ordered. We took it out of desperation but it was terrible. The bill included about $100 dollars we didn’t order. The manager was a crook. Not a place for business or pleasure.

Excellent meal and service

By grandma1601 |

Unusual and very flavorful dishes and great service. Not the same standard menu often seen in kosher restaurants

Great family dinner

By Vacationer607057 |

High quality food, lots of choices. Steak was perfect , veal Marsala really tender and the Moroccan cigars really good. Our server suggested the popular items like cauliflower appetizer and she was right. Pretty room too. I’d definitely go back.

Excellent!

By Peter L |

You don't find many kosher Italian meat restaurants, and Noi Due Carne is also exceptionally good. We shared tuna carpaccio and tuna tartar for starters, and for main course had gnocchi with duck, pasta with ragu, chicken (vegan)parmeggiano and chilean sea bass. Everything was very good, but the fish won. Very nice and efficient service, nice to sit outside.

Severely overpriced; otherwise "excellent"

By Trup |

There is no question but that a kosher restaurant needs to charge more from a counterpart serving similar appetizers, entrees, etc., because of the establishment's extra costs in being certified as "kosher." But, that being said, there is no way in the world that it is justifiable to charge $75 for a 14 oz ribeye steak; there are other kosher places in NYC that have equally good food and where the charge would be something like $45 or maybe $50. However, the meat dishes we DID order (and share) -- veal marsala and short ribs were beautifully and tastefully prepared. The service was prompt -- a bit too much so for my taste (I felt we were being rushed). In fact, the place was chock-a-block full on a week night so that indicates that there are folks who are willing to pay unjustifiably high prices. By the way, our friends with whom we dined shared our positive feelings about the food and resentment about the prices.

nice, new kosher restaurant

Food and atmosphere were very good. Service was excellent. Nice menu, but not very varied. A bit pricey.

Wonderful Place to Dine in the City

By manonthemove1812 |

A lovely place to dine with good ambiance and a wide choice of Italian foods. Well located in the upper west side near lincoln center, this restaurant is an excellent choice for a formal or informal family or business meeting. Go and enjoy next time you are in the area!

Pretty good food, but very expensive

By Harry A |

I liked Noi Due’s sister restaurant (their dairy restaurant), so I figured I’d try this one. I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, the food was pretty good and the ambiance was excellent. I got a beef kebab appetizer which was excellent! The spaghetti and meatballs was good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, a good meal. On the other hand, this place is VERY expensive. I understand, this is a fancy restaurant, and fancy restaurants are expensive. I get it. But, if I’m paying $40+ for spaghetti and meatballs (which, by the way, was one of the cheaper mains), it had better knock my socks off. This one didn’t. It was good, but I could’ve gone somewhere else and paid half the price for a spaghetti and meatballs that was just as good. Plus, the waiter kept pressuring us to order more food. Very uncomfortable. If you don’t mind spending a lot of money, this is a good place with good food. Maybe for an anniversary or other special occasion.

Pay A Lot for A Little

By Michael M |

The problem with most kosher NYC restaurants is ubiquitous: not much competition which fuels very high prices in spite of mediocre food. Unfortunately, Noi Due Carne does not break this mold. I ordered the veal marsala which was dry, not very flavorful and uninspired. My friend ordered a steak. He remarked it was good but overpriced. There are better kosher options at this price point. One would consider Noi Due Carne if you MUST eat kosher on the Upper West Side. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Great food!

By Michele L |

We loved this kosher meat restaurant in the upper West Side in NYC. The waiters were helpful and cordial, the food was excellent and the ambiance was also great. As all kosher restaurants, it was quite expensive, but not more than others in the same category.

Poor experience

By Sharon B |

Very disappointing. The chicken scallopini was extremely tough. I thought that my knife was blunt but the chicken was that dry my husband had the special pasta which was very nice but very overpriced the service was very good, but we were given the bill as soon as we’re finished and were in and we were in and out of the restaurant in one hour!!! very overpriced

Not cheap but food, service and ambience are very good

By MDXP |

I am in agreement with most of the prior reviews in the sense that Noi Due Carne is an expensive restaurant with very good but not great food. Having said that, the key question is will I go back? Absolutely. Let's be honest- a kosher meat restaurant in Midtown or on the Upper West is likely to be expensive and it's just a question of how expensive and relative value compared to alternatives. I very much liked the ambience of the room. Tables were not as jam packed as in some other similar restaurants. I thought the wait staff was excellent. Thank you again Rachael. Everything was done with the right speed. The water glasses here are small (I'm not sure why) and as a result, we continuously drained our glasses. They were refilled quickly each and every time. So what about the food? I had the hamburger which at $34 was not cheap. It is one of the best burgers I've ever had. I believe it includes some ground brisket which makes it both more expensive and tastier. The fries were also very good. We also ordered cavatelli ($26) which was quite good. The menu indicates that the portion will not be huge but it seemed large enough to me. The crispy artichokes ($18) are something you don't typically see on menus (other than perhaps in Rome) and were a treat. As a starter we ordered lamb flatbread ($24) which was quite tasty. We did notice the fries listed at $11 as noted in other reviews. A mixed drink ($16) and a glass of wine ($16) were good but pushed the bill up. Total cost for two was $146 but would have been $114 without the drinks. More expensive than some, not as expensive as others with very good food and ambience.

Good food overpriced

By Aviel |

Kosher rigatoni with meat sauce tasty as were salads although smaller portions than I would think for the money
