Brilliant

By Jwar7 |

Would highly recommend Nubeluz. The views are spectacular and the staff were amazing. I proposed to my girlfriend (now financee) here and the staff went out of their way to make it special, particularly Sabrina who gave us a private photoshoot on the balcony so a massive shoutout to her. We will definitely come back next time we are in NYC.

Fabulous view

By SRWelch00 |

As patrons of Zaytinya downstairs, we easily obtained seating along a window at Nubeluz, with a fabulous view of the city. Definitely will be going back!

Great place terrible service

By Pamela O |

The place is incredible and the view is unbeatable. The drinks menu is small but good, but the service is deplorable. The waitresses are rude and not at all attentive. I wish they would change them because the place is good.

Romance in New York

By Cassandra. G |

The experience at Nubeluz Bar, located at the top of the Ritz-Carlton, was simply mesmerizing. The panoramic view of the city that lights up at night creates an unparalleled romantic ambiance. The twinkling lights of New York serve as the perfect backdrop for a magical moment. The attentive service and refined cocktails added a touch of elegance to this memorable experience. A must-visit place for lovers of breathtaking views and romantic atmospheres.

Sweet disappointment

By Francesca |

Disappointed by the sweet sweet basil, 10 dollars for a mini cone not even great! Too bad, because the place is beautiful

If You’re a Hotel Guest STAY AWAY

By BOLDMissionHills_KS |

This is the Ritz Carlton Nomad Hotel rooftop bar on the 50th floor with stunning views. You should know this place is NOT run by the hotel and has a different vibe than the Ritz. Most clientele are locals around the age of 30. The dress code is NOT enforced, with most wearing t-shirts, ball caps, shorts, and club attire. There is an enormous staff of waiters/waitresses, but unfortunately, they are there to be seen rather than work. It took 30 minutes to get a drink with substandard service. The bar restroom was filthy with trash that was overflowing around 11:30pm. Some customers had their feet on the booth seats and conversations were load with profanity. Reservations require a $35 per person fee. I caution you before you make your reservation. There are much better rooftop bars in the area.

Perfect

By Tracey T |

Absolutely loved this rooftop bar and snacks were delicious I would definitely go again. The staff were very polite and helpful

Ugh!

By Sherborne |

I was expecting a more extravagant place… small atmosphere, ordinary music, ´ Not very careful in the end about the dress code But above all disappointed by the cocktails: short list, very small quantity…. $35!!!Remains view of Manhattan at night!

Singled out & kicked out for a graphic tee while others stayed—no posted rule, manager showed zero care.

By joeydweck |

I came to this restaurant with a reservation for four people. I was singled out by an employee at the restaurant for wearing a mason Margiella T-shirt, and asked to leave the bar for wearing a graphic T-shirt. Nowhere online does it say that you can’t wear graphic T-shirts in this bar. I drove over an hour to get here, and was kicked out of my reservation because of my T-shirt . What’s funny is that I noticed many other people wearing graphic T-shirts, but I was singled out & not anyone else. None of the other people wearing graphic T-shirts were removed other than me. This happened right when I got to the place. I didn’t exhibit any type of behavior that would force me to be removed, the restaurant decided to discriminate and remove me and not anyone else that was wearing a graphic T-shirt. This was direct discrimination and I highly urge people not to come here. They completely screwed me and my buddies and kicked us out the minute we got there! Unbelievable. I begged & pleaded with the manager to have some sense and to let me in considering that we drove over an hour to get here, and the guy was so sour and just didn’t care. He kicked me out without a care in the world. The employees of This establishment don’t care about their customers. This is an absolute shame, and I am beyond frustrated as I write this, outside of the bar on the bench.

Amazing views over NYC skyline

By Alex_19751 |

I visited here with my wife after being recommended it by friends, it's situated at the top floor of the Ritz-Carlton hotel. You need to pre book to visit here and they have a strict dress code of smart cocktail chic attire. The decor of the venue and the service was very impressive , the drinks were nice and it had a nice relaxing glam feel to the bar. The views were absolutely stunning. Yes it's a little pricey by New York standards but no different to any new rooftop bar in Bangkok,Paris,Hanoi,Milan, Barcelona or London. The views, the flair of the drinks are lovely. I would visit here again and recommend it to friends and family

Lovely Views Over NY

By Ileana P |

It is a very elegant place, serving refined cocktails and well dosed. The staff is attentive and very professional. The view you enjoy is frighteningly beautiful, of course it is the rooftop of the Ritz so you pay a little more than in other places but it is absolutely worth it. Go there at sunset you will be enchanted.

Great view, judgmental reception staff

By Elisabeth M |

Amazing view and decoration, with really attentive wait staff. Great wine and a ok margarita (the salt foam was a little intense). However the experience was over shadowed by the reception staff, who did a full, and obvious, head - to toe outfit check which made us feel really uncomfortable. I appreciate they have a dress code, and had looked this up in advance, but this could have been done in a much nicer way. It made us very self-conscious before the evening started. From other reviews it seems this is a consistent issue, and one Ritz Carlton should address.

Beautiful view

By wanderlustfamily17 |

We went for the afternoon tea service and we loved it. The views are amazing and the food was fresh and delicious. The tea selection was also great. We highly recommend adding on the grilled cheese that they offer. Service during tea was friendly- but beware the girl who you have to check in with in the lobby was not nice at all.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

By Patricia G |

The WORST experience imaginable – Do not waste your money at NubeLuz at the Ritz-Carlton If I could give zero stars, I would. Our visit to NubeLuz at the Ritz-Carlton in New York was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. From the moment we arrived, the treatment at NubeLuz was nothing short of horrible. The host and the general manager seemed to be in a contest to see who could be more unpleasant. We went with friends for a few drinks, and it turned into a total ordeal. We arrived without a reservation (which should have been handled with at least a bit of courtesy in a place of that supposed caliber). Instead, they put us on a waitlist with not a shred of friendliness. We had to spend money at the bar downstairs while waiting, and we did spend quite a bit. Yet every time we asked about our turn, we got evasive answers and condescending looks. We waited over two hours, watching other guests get seated ahead of us for no apparent reason. When we finally got upstairs, there were no tables available because everything was for reservations only. They ignored us and treated us like we were invisible. The attitude was downright insulting, and we even felt a hint of racism, which is completely unacceptable. To top it off, at NubeLuz, they simply don’t care who you are or what level of importance you might have. Whether you’re someone significant or just an ordinary guest willing to spend money in a high-end place, they simply do not care. They don’t know what you plan to order, and frankly, they don’t care what you’ll spend. They just treat everyone poorly. On the bright side, the one person who did stand out positively was the doorman (the person who opens the door at the hotel). He was incredibly polite and kind, a total contrast to the NubeLuz staff. Even the security staff was more courteous than anyone in the lounge. It’s a shame that the actual lounge staff couldn’t learn a thing or two from the rest of the hotel’s team. In short, NubeLuz is the worst place we’ve ever visited in New York. Don’t waste your time or your money here.

Best bar and view in NYC

By Jessica H |

LOVE Nubeluz! The view is spectacular. The ambiance and design is stunning. Their smokey Foggy Hill drink is my personal favorite - great spot for drinks and light bites (get the grilled cheese!!!)

Heaven above NOMAD

By 1965sbm2015 |

Enter through the very discreet entrance to the RitzCarlton NOMAD and be whisked to a mixologists paradise. The view of the Empire State Building from the floor to ceiling window is both awe inspiring and stomach flipping. But the bar, oh the bar. Through bottles of very colour the view downtown is spectacular. I had a Manhattan - I’m old school, delicious! I followed this with the Taken for Granted. It was a lovely and joyful night!

Extraordinary in everything

By alice155 |

We had already had roof-top experiences in New York, but the one at Nubeluz will remain unforgettable especially obviously for the location, the environment and the view you can enjoy from up there. The attendance and elegance of the waitresses also contributed to make the aperitif even more pleasant. Among the various cocktails, we wanted to try the iconic and signature “foggy hill” which in fact, in addition to the choreography, we found very good. Too bad that the snacks served with the drink were all for a fee and the chips had been served in their bag (open, however, for the long side :D ). The prices live up to the title of this review and make, in our opinion, the experience unrepeatable, in the sense: definitely to try once and never again.

Not worth it!

By Patriciogz |

Terrible service. Very rude servers. We ordered several plates, they didn’t bring us one of the plates we ordered and they pretended we had never ordered it. We were basically kicked out after that.

High tea

By sunjoe075 |

Six is us visited the place on a Saturday at lunch time. The weather was sunny and beautiful. The services were impeccable. Plenty choices of teas and the fix menu small sandwich to deserts are so delicious and beautifully presented. From their patio, you can see Hudson River and Empire State Building.

Go somewhere else for the view and better experience

By Nicole E |

The view was spectacular. But the service of this place has put down the quality of the overall experience. There was no accountability for any of the mistakes that was made from our “server(s)”. I had to chase 2 other servers to see what’s going on due to the delays of our food order as well as drinks, since me and my friend were both aware that there was a time limit of our booking. At this point we weren’t expecting any apology but the worst part is, there were no kind gestures at all. When I approached the bartender just to clarify if one of our drinks have went through to their system, Ive never felt treated this rudely from a place that is well known but doesnt meet their standards due to the staff. We were so polite and patient in order to be fair to the servers but overall, me and my friend were extremely disappointed in this place and completely ruined her birthday celebration. I would not highly recommend. You’re basically just paying for the view.

Don’t go sky bar

By alison m |

We were in New York for a 3 day trip and a friend recommended this as a nice place to have a few drinks. It was our 30th Anniversary and the guy downstairs let us up for a drink he put us on the reservation list he was so lovely that’s where it ended, once we got to the top the staff were rude and not interested in us the bar staff made us wait standing at the bar not trying to get us a seat, we ordered our cocktails which were very mediocre compared to one’s we have had before and at 55 dollars weren’t worth it. Yes the views are amazing but unless you have a platinum Amex card and a Chanel bag! Don’t go the vibe is pure snobbery and the staff obviously forget where they come from our money was just as good as anyone else’s unfortunately we left with a bad taste in our mouths, the guy taking reservations downstairs was so nice obviously not good enough to work up the top ! Strange as we had already been in the ritz Carlton on Central Park that afternoon for a drink and what a difference they were welcoming and warm and wished us happy Anniversary so lesson learned go to them and not the Nubeluz .

Stunning bar — long wait for pre-booked table/expensive drinks

By MRF562 |

1st time visiting New York from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 & my birthday trip with my parents & sister. The BEST: VIEWS = BREATHTAKING! I haven’t seen any photos/videos from a restaurant, bar, rooftop or tourist attraction that is as close to the Empire State Building as this bar is. I stepped out onto the terrace & the view takes your breathe away! Atmosphere in the bar was great — tables & bar full. Decor is stunning — classy, timeless it truly felt like you were in a classic New York bar. The bad: My sister was very organised & made sure she got a reservation weeks in advance but even then she could only get a table for 10pm on a Wednesday night! When we arrived we were 5mins late (we rang ahead so they were aware) yet we still stood for 25mins for our table to be ready — the bar was full so we felt very awkward/claustrophobic standing for that long with no seats, no drink & no space to wait. When you have pre-booked a table in advance you don’t expect it not to be ready for an additional half hour after your reservation time! This impacted our evening massively as the table reservation for 10pm was already extremely late (but the only time available) after a full tourist day in NYC so not being seated until 10.30pm pushed our night further back/even later again! This wasn’t the service you’d expect at a luxury hotel like the Ritz Carlton or their brand new luxury bar with expensive prices to match. I’m happy to pay these prices aslong as the service from the second you arrive matches the prices you charge/expect customers to pay. Even as we were leaving there was a wait of 10mins to receive our coats from the cloakroom which meant we were stood by the lifts once again waiting a seemingly prolonged time. Cocktail choices were extremely limited & lacked any classics or favourites! I drink vodka or rum & there were barely any cocktails to choose from — mainly tequila or gin. I asked for a simple Sex on the Beach cocktail thinking this would be the easiest to make but they didn’t have the ingredients to make it (which shocked me as there’s little ingredients you require to begin with — vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice & grenadine or cranberry juice as alternative). However, our waitress was wonderful (sadly didn’t get her name) & she made it her mission to find a cocktail I liked & after trying the 1st cocktail they made (which was supposed to be Sex on the Beach but didn’t taste anything like it) she had the barman re-make alternative cocktails twice until I was happy. Wonderful customer service & she didn’t make you feel awkward for not liking the drink they had made instead that’s what we all laughed about/was the running joke about trying to find a drink for me that I liked.

Unique place for aperitif, better than many roof tops

This bar inside the Ritz Carlton on a high floor is really nice. Both for location and attendance. Cocktails and great services, high prices

Drinks in New York City, NY

By Vy H. |

Came here Saturday afternoon for drinks and light bites with my gfs—had reservations so we were seated right away at a big booth, by the window! The place is beautiful and has a fancy vibe, with an amazing view of the city. Our server Alex was great! Cocktails were pretty good—and cutely presented. The Melon Cloud came with a “cloud” which is basically dry ice that creates the illusion of a cloud around the rim of the drink but really adds to value to actual taste of the drink—picture worthy though. We also tried the L’Appel Du Vide and Arborea—both tasty, but more on the sweet side. For snacks, the Labneh with Salmon Roe & Chips and Grilled Cheese were good! Loved the ambiance/vibe here, I’ll be back!

The best sunset in New York

By Peppiniello_turista |

Exclusive room located on the rooftop of the Ritz-Carlton hotel, once you enter the lobby, head to the third desk on the left where you can register your access upon viewing your identity documents. Take the elevator to the top to enjoy the best sunset seen during my time in the City (and I've seen some from Empire, SUMMIT and Edge). Cost of cocktails obviously prohibitive, but you also pay and above all the experience.

A splendid view for refined cocktails

By Lapin2301 |

Great view to sip a cocktail. Possibility to settle outside on two side terraces, which is much nicer when it is not too hot than the central room over-conditioned as usual. However, the rates are really excessive: more than $30 per cocktail. Reservation strongly desirable unless you go in the very early evening.

Awesome!!

By Federico |

Just amazing this place!! It is located on the top floor of the Ritz Carlton hotel, super stylish very good food and house music. The views are weightless, I highly recommend it for both a couple and friends

Elevated but yet inviting

By Traveler |

My visit to Nubeluz was nothing short of amazing. The ambiance struck the perfect balance—relaxed yet intimate, making it an ideal spot for both a casual night out and a more refined experience. The atmosphere was upscale but never felt pretentious, with breathtaking views that added to the overall charm. Service was attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. Every detail, from the well-crafted cocktails to the beautifully presented bites, was executed flawlessly. Whether you’re looking for a chic spot to unwind or a special place for a memorable night, Nubeluz delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait to return!

Great Views— But You Can’t Control Who Sits Nearby.

By Mark G |

We recently visited the acclaimed Nubeluz rooftop bar. Despite the outstanding views, we won’t be back. Here’s why: 1. We were unaware that a reservation was required — for a bar! Oops, my mistake. 2. The bar’s website advises guests on its dress code. So, I wore a sports jacket. 3. The bar’s website should also address etiquette. Four over-privileged young women tourists crowded themselves around two nearby barstools, plopped their purses and coats on top of same (there IS a checkroom), plus on top of the bar. Annoying. Summary: If your zip code is 100xx - 102xx (you live in Manhattan), visit your favorite nearby restaurant again, order your favorite cocktail from your familiar bartender at 2/3 the Nubeluz price, and leave a generous tip. Pleasurable.

Amazing views, served with a bitter ending.

By Oliver |

Very great high rise location, amazing views & perfect table. However. I can phantom that these spots are highly desired, but we were rudely asked to leave twice because our time was up. We did not even finish our glasses (after a bottle of wine & two snacks). Overall very great experience but the end kind of ruined it for me. Don't hesitate to visit though! Best regards, Oliver.

My favorite rooftop bar in NY. Very elegant.

By Nuno N |

By far my favorite roof top bar in New York. The decoration is fantastic and the views are fabulous. The service is also outstanding. The reservation process is somewhat awkward but it helps keeping a good ambiance.

Great view and drinks with friends

By MiguelCFarr |

The place is very nice and the view amazing. The only problem we had was that, although the Service was good and most of the waiters were very friendly, there was one who offered water and it turned out that what we were being served were bottles of 10 USD each and we ended up paying 50 USD for water, which is absurd, but we didn't want to fight about it. The cocktails very good and outside that topic (that the feeling was that the waiter abused on purpose) totally recommended, just be careful with what was said.

Nubeluz

By thevegetarianvoyager |

I was here last evening and the views are very worthy, for sure. Of the skyline. Of the bar. Of the skyline behind the bar. Coming to the drinks and bites - very good, from presentation to taste. The take on margarita was very interesting. A salt foam instead of salt rim was novel. The rooftop bars end up being less substance and more style but this was both.

Weird employee vibe

By Mike A |

We thought we’d stop by for a drink at the rooftop bar. Well, a friend and I walked up to the hostesses on the first floor and asked if we could go to the rooftop. She looked us up and down and checked her ipad and said ‘sorry, we’re all booked for the night’. I felt as though our attire or vibe was not to her liking. Then we proceeded to the lobby bar where it took about 15 min to order. Finally a worker came up ( he might have been a manager) and took our order. Then about 2 minutes later a waiter came over to confirm our drink orders. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks after that. My buddy was super tired from jet lag and closed his eyes a few times. I was chatting with my wife and my buddies wife what he was dozing off and on. The gentleman in the suit came over and asked if he could stay awake otherwise a guard might say something if they see you dozing off. I’m the meantime, all the employees at and around the bar were staring at us making us uncomfortable. So bottom line, we went in to get a drink from another cool roof bar and left feeling judged and irritated. The hotel itself was pretty awesome but the employees shouldn’t make patrons feel as if they do not belong in their bougie rooftop bar or their lobby bar. BTW, I’m a Bonvoy Titanium member and have never felt this awkward in any of the other tons of Marriott Bonvoy hotels that we’ve stayed at.

Another great Jose Andres place

By Trvlchnnl |

From the view (main reason to visit) to the inventive and delicious drinks (try the Foggy Hill), to the creative bites (the labneh with potato chips - yum), everything was really good. The service was great and friendly. I would've given it 5 stars, but outside, there are uneven and missing tiles and easy to trip and fall, as happened to me. The server outside saw it, felt badly, insisted it was their fault, that it should be covered up. The manager called after we left to apologize and invite us back the next night but we were leaving. I am still bruised a week later, but other than that, we would recommend.

Not so luxury despite the great view - I would even say tourist trap

By Pierre M. C. |

This is one of the best spots of New York in terms of the view without being outside. However, the service and the food are far from matching the luxury that the place tries to convey, especially if comparing to the competition in the neighborhood (Fleur Room or Somewhere Nowhere which are both cheaper and better). When my girlfriend and I arrived at the restaurant, our table was not ready so we were asked to wait at the bar (that's OK as that stuff happens). However, there was no space on the bar and we were basically on the corner where the bar service (trays) were, for a waitress to start shouting on us saying that we should not be there, and told us to stand on the second line behind the bar (!). Not the luxury experience you expect. Another couple at the bar felt bad for us and even ordered us drinks. Once our table was ready, we ordered the olives and the sliders with two cocktails. The cocktails were great, however we received a platter of 4 olives, and the 3 sliders were really (really) tiny (think maybe 2 inches max). The check came at more than $90, and I was shouted again when I said I did not want to tip due to the bar incident. I went to the literal neighbor Fleur Room the next evening, and it was much better service for food and drinks (we ordered olives and sliders to compare - much better sizes) - and it also becomes a sort of club later at night. It was also cheaper, about $60 for two cocktails and the olives with sliders.

Access denied for wearing boots at 7 below zero

By isabel c |

We were refused entry for wearing boots (we were at 7 below zero) and they also did it very unpleasantly, with a sufficient attitude and insulting derogatory. Quite the opposite of what chef José Andrés preaches in front of the gallery.

So disgraceful and mean

By Güliz Ç |

So disgraceful and mean place. Plus the hostess cannot speak fluent english, it is nearly impossible to understand. Truly not Ritz-standard.

Nice place!

By Francesca |

Beautiful place, with beautiful views of New York City. Normal food, and being overpriced snacks. Staff very friendly and attentive to customer needs. Very good cocktails!

280º degrees view over Manhattan

By Mirko |

The view and the cube was stunning, it was snowing all over and we had a window table, staff was nice and the food was good despote the very few choice , average drink. I would visit again!

Christmas Eve drinks.

By NLK |

We came across this place on social media prior to our visit and knew we wanted to visit as it looked stunning. Upon arrival, we were a little early so were asked to wait downstairs until our table was ready - understandable, but when we got upstairs, it wasn't busy at all. Although, I was pleased they had honoured my request for a window seat. When we were sat waiting to order, a member of staff dropped an espresso martini that went all up the back of my coat that was on the chair. There was no apology and I had to ask for a cloth to wipe my coat, there was also no offer of a free drink or anything for the inconvenience! | completely understand accidents happen, but not so much as an apology was out of order. The only decent thing about the bar were the views; the wine was nice but the beer was just a can which I wouldn't expect at a place like this. Our wait staff were lovely and topped up water at all opportunities. Probably wouldn't return, the experience with the drink completely ruined it for me.

Customers service - what is that?

By Anji B |

Frankly, a pretty disappointing service experience. We booked a table for 3 at 4 pm on a Saturday in mid March. On the day, one of our party was not able to make it, so we duly informed the hostess on check in and took a table for 2. Great views. Another hostess came to see us, and upon us quizzing her on the menu and her recommendations for what to drink, she suggested that she would bring us water and then take our order. This is the last we saw of her - after 20-25 minutes of sitting there, we were happy to enjoy the views, finally we had to call out to another hostess. She did apologize, and said she would take our order, although it should be that she also appeared hurried and somewhat disinterested, just matter of factly, and took our order. It then took another 20 minutes or so for our drinks to arrive (they were lovely!). Not the kind of service we were expecting, but it was a beautiful day and we were having a good time regardless. While we waited for our drinks, the third person in our party called and said they could make it (we had been sending photos of the phenomenal views), we really wanted to share the experience with him as originally planned and so we asked him to come up. We spoke to our hostess to see if we could move to a table with 3 seats or add another to the table we were at - she shook her head and reminded us that there was a 1.5 hour limit on table time. We politely pointed out that it took us more than 40 minutes to be served a drink. We even offered to switch tables with another couple who were leaving shortly and had three seats available - she didn't seem to think that could be done. We requested to speak to the manager, when the situation was explained, was sympathetic but not helpful and simply stated that according to her records, our drink order was taken by 4.24 pm (we came up at 4 pm)...which was accurate, but she did not realize that the drinks were not served until much later. Our friend had arrived at 5 pm, and we would probably have ordered another drink each and left on time or close to 5.30 pm...instead the service staff just made it really hard to have a good experience. We've never really had to deal with a situation like this before - we understand the reasons why the time limit exists (lots of people want to come here and extending table time isn't easy when there are back to back bookings etc.) , but at the same time, the service should be reflective of the location and expected that service staff at a space such as Nubeluz would be dynamic (realizing that perhaps some extra time was ok given that the drink and food order were delayed), polite and customer centric, while still keeping their overall policy in place? Instead, there was a sense that enforcing the table time was the only focus. Our server and others apologized, but said there was nothing they could do. It's worth noting that there were at least 2 or 3 tables free at that time. How difficult would it have been to gracefully allow us to move to the other table noting that table time was precious and courteous to the other people with reservations, serve us another drink after our friend arrived, and if we had overstayed by much over our 1.5 hour limit, politely remind us of that? Staff seem focused on enforcing time limits - customers ? Who are they?

Fabulous cocktail hour

By YaninaLeCristal |

Fabulous cocktail hour at this gorgeous rooftop cocktail bar/ lounge with stylish decor and stunning views of the city.

don't bother

By R-Lest |

i arrived by 5pm, wanted to catch the sunset. however upon meeting the hostess i was not allowed in bc i have a hoodie on with flannel jacket. it's fckng 10F outside. wtf u expect me to wear, hostess, a suit??? anyways "hoodie" is NOT even specified on their website on their list of unacceptable attire. forget this bougie place. 👎👎👎plenty of nicer rooftops w NYC views. thanks IG for the horrible recommendation. CITYSCAPE in San Francisco MUCH better than this BS here at Nubeluz.

Terrible service and value vs amazing views

By Paegas |

The Good: view stunning. The decor is beautiful, and the lighting and fabrics, and the outside terraces / views from the place are truly incredible. The Bad: it’s a hassle to reserve, and when you arrive the table isnt ready. You get attitude when you ask why your table isn’t ready for 30 min, told to wait at the bar with no apology, not feeling the Ritz Carlton service at all. Don’t bother ordering mixed drinks because they are watered down you’re best off with wine or a traditional cocktail. and in general very poor value for the price charged. All in all a stunning lounge, but watch out for what you order and don’t spend too much money here. Just enjoy the view and spend your money elsewhere where you get quality and service.

Upmarket rooftop cocktails

By Suie0515 |

Make a reservation. Beautiful views of NYC. Good cocktails, albeit at a high price due to NYC rooftop. Get the cloud cocktails (one is basically an aviation and one a mezcal drink). We didn’t try the food but drinks and views wretch great.

Worth visiting, once only

By Wybos |

Despite booking a table, once we arrived , we had to wait for a table, dumped at the bar with no available stools to sit on, ordered our drinks and waited and waited, until my friend went to check when our table would be ready, finally seated after waiting over 30 mins. The bar was busy and the music was loud to the point that you couldn’t speak to each other as there was no point, despite that it has a great vibe and the place to be if you are under 25. Overrated and won’t be returning again

Great view…. of Instagramers 😂

By Nate L |

This was our second visit. Cocktails are very good with unique flavors and unique spins on classics. View is amazing although they wouldn’t accommodate a request for a window seat even though it was open and not reserved. Usual snobby hostess nonsense you see from time to time. It’s really a great bar but they are letting the wannabe influencers take over. There was a constant flow of people standing in front of our view taking their own pensive pose photos. It’s hilarious and annoying. One group of kids didn’t have a reservation and were just standing around looking at the view, snapping selfies, and sitting in unused seats while they were being cleaned to snap a dumb pose. Nobody stopped them. I don’t mind at all a photo being taken in front of the view. It’s when it turns into a photo session that it gets really annoying. We love a good Ritz bar, but they seem to want fake business more than real business these days. We’ll try again next visit and give it another chance because the view and drinks are really great.

What a disappointment !

By Laurence R |

It should be a high tea! It is a low tea ;-( a few and pitiful small bites but quite pricey and only sweet (hello diabète ;-)) I asked a tea rose petals, I had hibiscus (without any explanation or any words). I needed to ask several times to have some water. In my opinion, we paid the lovely room (please remove those old fashion curtains) and the view. This is more Carlton than Ritz, nothing about luxurious.

poor service and attitude from staff - AVOID go somewhere else.

By ItsAllAboutLuxury |

We were visiting from the UK and my husband booked this place for drinks weeks/maybe months in advance for my birthday drinks. When we arrived we nicely greeted and escorted upstairs but then it all changed. We asked for a window seat (obviously) we saw a couple tables free but apparently the hostess told my husband that it needed to be requested specifically, which is so odd, it’s a roof top bar and we’re a couple celebrating a birthday. she was uninterested and quite frankly dismissive even when my husband asked nicely and informed her that we came all the way from England and it was my birthday. she was also smirking and thought it was funny and didn’t understand that the reservation meant a lot to us, really bizarre behaviour (lady with the braces) So we sat and tried to enjoy our drinks which were average. Later we approached our waitress and asked her this time if we could move as we saw another table vacate, she told us the same and that it’s reserved for special occasions / engagements basically dismissing that it was my actual birthday! At that point we gave up asking, Moments later we watched two young white women get seated by the window, of course their policy is applicable to certain guests as and when it suits them. We left instantly, the hostess at the door (same rude lady with braces) flung our coats at us and left us standing in the lobby. She is the rudest person I’ve encountered on that trip to New York, (advice to management) hostess needs to come down a peg or two and remember that it is the money of the guests that helps pay her wages so should remember that before treating us like crap. AVOID at all costs this place is giving (wannabe) new money vibes. Plenty of roof top bars/hotels that are special enough for occasions but service is also there.

Bad service

Hi would not recommend this place, the service was the worst I have ever experienced. We paid more than 100$ and as soon as we finished our drink they wanted us out. We were not allowed to sit there and enjoy our evening and the drinks. I have never experienced this kind of rudeness from a place before

Nice afternoon tea great views. Service level place for improvement

Nubeluz offers a great view. It’s definitely worth trying their afternoon tea. We did enjoy it a l lot. Bites were good. Tea was great. Nonetheless we didn’t like payment option only self payment thru QR code. Actually I expect not to ‘work’ when in such a location. Service was ok but not very attentive either. So good but naturally ok.

Poor service

With a reserved table and a wait of 40 minutes. At least service was quick at the bar, not so when eventually got our table. The cocktails were good and view amazing. Service not to the standard you would expect. I’d go elsewhere!
