our wait to be seated for brunch was near an hour and a half, granted on a sunday rainy morning. small little café but host was very nice and made sure to check on us and keep us updated on our seat being available. have been wanting to try this place for awhile and it being in the newly renovated oak cliff area it was fun to explore while waiting for our table since it texted us when table was ready. will be back!

Oddfellows is a solid Bishop Arts restaurant that does a nice breakfast/lunch menu and a solid dinner menu as well. Good, unique wine selections with plenty by the glass options. We had a fig salad and shared a chicken fried steak and enjoyed both dishes.

I have stopped by with my wife and kids to have brunch on the weekends and I really love the atmosphere here in the summer. Many locals come here after their morning run or bike ride and start the day here which is nice. It does get pretty packed but I would overall recommend them. The only CON I have is that when they're busy, they tend to be rude. Otherwise pretty sweet joint.

A great place to sit back, relax and enjoy a great meal. They offer a smaller selection but everything we have had is delicious, we especially love the chicken and waffles when they are on the menu. Their trio of pancake flavors are delicious too! The staff is friendly and although there can be a wait, it is usually well worth it!

I had the hummus plate which consists of their homemade hummus (wonderful), warm pita, and veggies (carrots, celery and broccolini). Everything was fresh and good. This is the freshest and best hummus plate I have had anywhere in the country. I noticed from the menu that they offer some interesting and unusual flavor pairings. For instance, the Queso Americano comes w/fried won tons rather than tortilla chips. The Buffalo Mac is fried chicken w/buffalo and macaroni and bleu cheese. We sat outside for lunch on a beautiful Spring day, and yet the service was still very attentive. Sometimes the patio gets ignored, but not here. The seating is umbrella covered picnic tables which seat 4-6 persons. There were no smokers, but there were a few dogs. I would eat here again, and I would recommend it to my friends.

For someone who watches their protein intake, this place has a lot of choices (yogurt, eggs) that are appetizing. I liked my fruit yogurt and deviled eggs today but I was slightly disappointed with my scrambled eggs (hence picture not taken). They came out cold given that there was a wait from when the order was placed. The place has a nice local vibe but there were flies around. 😅

We have been here many, many times to sit either inside or out. It's always amazing with the best coffee anywhere. Breakfast, brunch or lunch are great. Amazing deviled eggs. Great fried okra and biscuits and gravy. The only so so we have had is the beignets.

We stopped here for lunch because we were starved (and hot and needed a place to cool off). The menu was rather limited and was geared more to breakfast/brunch. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was good. But we might have enjoyed someplace else with a broader menu. Overall, it was a good experience.

Oddfellows Benedict was the perfect balance of everything Benedict should be. Bread pudding French toast was really good. Great coffee and espresso bar as well. I’ll go back when I’m Dallas next time

The food is good, a little over priced for breakfast. But there is a huge fly problem inside the restaurant. I’ve been a few times and it hasn’t changed. There are so many flies outside as well. They could hang something to kill the flies.

We are frequent visitors to odd fellows and have always enjoyed our meals at this Oak Cliff establishment. For the most part today’s visit was no different, had to wait a bit longer for a table, but Jace our bartender was attentive , quick and conversational as always. Problem occurred with my brunch order and the amount of winged adversaries in the dining area. Keep in mind I have eaten steaks in the DFAC in multiple locations in Afghanistan and Iraq that would rival boot leather , the meat in my Chicken Fried Steak was horribly undercooked and possibly the toughest most difficult to chew piece of meat I have ever experienced ....I ate it but can honestly say that I did not enjoy it. Looking for improvement on future visits.... as far as the flies in and around our table , let’s just say it was challenging.

I had the Deli chicken pesto sandwich with a fresh green salad. This sandwich was probably the tastiest sandwich that I’ve had in a very long time! The seeded bread was crusty and very fresh. The green salad was delicious with heirloom tomatoes and watermelon radishes. My husband had brisket hash and said it was delicious also. They have speciality coffee and grind their own coffee beans. We had a very friendly, bubbly waitress! This was our first visit, but definitely not our last!

My colleague order food from Oddfellows today and had it delivered via Uber. This food was absolutely horrible. My french fries were old and cold, looked like they had been sitting out for over 6 hours plus they were burnt. Every single fry was burnt and I have never had this happen to me before. I ordered a cheese burger medium well and it arrived well done, cold and hard as a brick. It's seems as if the lunch chef said to himself this food is being delivered by Uber and they probably won't have time to call and complain or have Uber return their food so I will just get rid of this old food that has been sitting out for hours. I was a first time customer and a last time customer. I will never spend money in this place, very poor quality food and not worth 13 bucks at all. The blue berry bread pudding was flavorless.

It is a very laid back atmosphere which I like for a late breakfast. The coffee was great. I even drank it without milk (never sugar) because the taste was fantastic. I had the scramble of the month and it was delicious also the oatmeal with brown sugar and yam. We sat outside at the bar/windows and it was just beautiful. The dir of the toilets are opaque which through me off and I personally change it but other than that it was so glad we had the chance to eat there.

Located in the Bishop Arts District which is a really cool area. The eggs Benedict was excellent and the chicken fried steak was huge. You can substitute fruit or avocados for the eggs. The waitress was efficient and pleasant. Bathrooms are large and clean. We will definitely eat there again!

Wife and I were at Lockhart Smokehouse on Saturday and then walked around the arts district. I saw Oddfellows and something about it caught my attention, so I told my wife we had to come back the next day for brunch. We did just that, and got there around 9:45 on a Sunday morning, right before the rush, thank goodness. It gets packed quick. They use the nowait app, so download it and "get in line" before you get there! The entire experience was excellent - atmosphere, wait staff, food, bottomless coffee. It's a no-thrills place, just a pleasant place to have a good brunch. Definitely recommend it.

Fresh is definitely the operative word here. Stumbled upon this cool place after parking our car in the adjacent lot. We had just flown in from DC and drove over to Bishop Arts for a good lunch. We found it at Oddfellows. The fresh squeezed orange juice tastes like you are eating an orange without all the work. The quinoa with mushrooms was yummy and the salad with ahi tuna was delicious. Everything was fresh and light. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

We have gone to Oddfellows maybe 10 times over the last 4 years. Each time there is something fairly major that goes wrong, but then we let time pass and give it another try. We really want to like this place: It's a great location, an interesting layout, eclectic menu. Most of the past problems have been with service...lots of people running around but nobody really noticing empty water glasses, questions, check requests, etc. This time the service was prompt, but the food was very disappointing. First of all, we ordered the fresh squeezed Orange Juice. Supposedly it was squeezed fresh every day. At 8:00 in the morning the juice we were served was rancid to the point of being carbonated. When pressed, the waiter confessed that it seemed as if someone decided to carry it over from the previous day. Sorry. Then there was the steel cut oatmeal. The last time we had it we truly loved it, nuggets of oats perfectly prepared, with nice fresh fruit. This time, it was school cafeteria-grade mush, tasteless, runny, and no fruit. Then there were the flies. This is Dallas in August. If you have open windows, which sounds like a lovely idea for many climates, you will get hot, humid air, maybe mosquitoes, and definitely flies. Lots of flies. Swarming in the morning sunlight over tables, patrons, kitchen. Not to worry, one of the waitstaff appeared after 15 minutes of us swatting and produced a large spray can of some sort of toxin, spraying flies, tables, the air. Really? Come on people, is that even legal? Again, many years have passed and this place continues to confound. As for us, we are done.

Bishop arts area has really stepped up on great restaurants and this one is right there with them. I had the bison burger with bacon aioli😋. It was cooked perfect. My friend had Huevos Rancheros which he enjoyed very much. I will come back and again. They also serve breakfast.

Bishop park area is very popular for visitors from all around. They have really good brunch menu and nice selection of teas and coffee, service is good. Parking is a bit difficult but it is easy to valet.

Stopped at this incredible Dallas find for a nice dinner before catching the late night flight home! We’ve had breakfast here before that was amazing and tonight dinner was equally great!

We came here for Saturday brunch, arrived around 10 and still a 45 minute wait... although their cell phone app makes it nice to leave and walk around. (Wish it took reservations!) While we were outside waiting, the manager talked us through the entire menu with awesome details which I loved. Once we sat down we loved the atmosphere. Everything that was ordered was delicious! I loved the PB choc pancake, but next time I'll try the banana pudding french toast. My husband had the duck confit and it was to die for. All in all, I'd go back, but maybe on a less busy day :)

Took my daughter there during her spring break and to visit the little shops around there. I loved the soup of the day, mac and cheese was good (needed a little seasoning). Staff was nice and the place was cute inside.

We went here for Sunday funday brunch and it was fantastic. This was a birthday brunch and they really made us feel special! Standouts were the artichoke dip (I could've just eaten a tub of that), fried okra (good lawd) and the pancake of the day (citrus something) wow! The chef knew one of us and she was lovely and extremely accommodating. I wish I could remember her name but the mimosas and frozen sangria hindered that! Don't miss this place for brunch. It was fantabulous! Thanks for treating our crazy group so well!

Locals took us Aussie to this place which usually has a line out the door. Being a Friday lunchtime we may have been lucky and walked straight in. I could not resist the signature dish of buffalo chicken on mac and cheese. It was so big I could only eat half of the pasta but it was very tasty!! Seems mac and cheese is a vegetable in these parts so it must've been super healthy!! My partner enjoyed the cheese burger.

Stopped at Oddfellows on way to concert at Verizon Theater @ Grand Prairie. Actually made detour to Bishop Arts District (BAD) simply because we like that area. If you haven't been, just go. It's a shame that many in Dallas area fear this part of town. It's part of City's history and future. It's real and raw, not phony and slick like much of city. As for Oddfellows, really loved use of recycled materials for decor and loved feel of the place. Bar is small with maybe 8 seats inside and doesn't really provide for standing room, but back bar opens to outside bar seating. Food and wine menu is spare, but interesting and adequate, and prices were fair (at least as far as a review of menu goes). Ordered glass of Pinot Grigio for me, glass of Pinot Noir for husband, both of which were steep price-wise, but good pours. We each got small salad - Tuna Heirloom Tomato for me, Clubhouse Salad for him - which were disappointing. Although mentioned as main ingredient, my salad consisted of almost all dressing-soggy lettuce and two Roma tomato chunks (not "Heirloom"), and husband ate tuna, which he didn't finish as wasn't very good. His salad was not memorable. We shared Fried Chicken dinner and added a piece of white meat to what we were told would be 2 dark and one white. What we got were 4 white pieces that weren't even identifiable as white meat or even chicken. Breasts appeared to be cut into weird thirds and were mostly batter. On upside, chicken was very tasty; there just wasn't very much of it. Biscuits and mashed potatoes were also very good. Service was average. Staff appeared bored (which was understandable, as it wasn't very busy at 5-ish pm), and were attentive on afterthought basis. Not sure we'll give it another try for a meal, but may be back for drinks, and we'll definitely be back to BAD.

Four of us came for brunch and we each ordered something different. All the dishes looked like they were delicious and my companions said they liked theirs. I ordered the Juevos Rancheros and it was superb. One half of the plate held the potatoes which were delicious, On the other half, black beans were spread on the bottom. Layered over the beans was a softened corn tortilla; over the tortilla was a spread of chorizo, over that was an egg-over-medium; and then another softened corn tortilla; and then Ranchera sauce over the whole thang, baby! You gotta try it!

After a few hours of strolling in the Bishop Arts District, we snagged some patio tables and enjoyed a cold brew sitting in the warm December sun and people watching. Menu choices looked great although we were only there for the beverages--we'll be back to check out the food soon.

I had a meeting right down the road & wanted to try out a new place. Drove to Bishop Arts area which was crowded, parking awful. This is a small restaurant with more brunch food. I loved the deviled eggs but my chicken Cobb salad was delicious! I asked for no dressing(sugar filled) & that didn't happen. My only complaint. The chef came out & asked if I was ok with it but it's very loud, didn't understand what he said so ended up eating with the dressing. Worth the trip, fun brunch fare!

Oddfellows is loud and busy, which seems to be a restaurant trend. But the service is so incredibly slow and inconsistent that it makes one wonder whether they should have just stayed at home. The floors and tables also seem dingy.

I loved the atmosphere. I liked the service. All of these was great but then I ate. The chicken fried stake was not to my liking. The first half was not bad then I got to the last part of the stake and it not tender. Very chewy. Very Chewy. Had to chew like a minute for a small piece. So I like the place. I would go back just order something else or maybe give it one more try.

For a happy time don't drive there, parking is not an option. Once you get there you will seat in tables remembering the old times and I mean it, like in the old west. A wide variety of beers some of the with unusual taste. My recommendation is to ask for food you know, it is well served, well cooked. You will enjoy it. About desert you can have it there or stroll around and try two or three in different places

This special wasn't listed, it only said pancakes until asked. These rival the Key Lime pancakes I get at Doreen's in Marco Island, Florida. The subtle taste of lime and the large flaky cakes are as good as it gets. My wife enjoyed her OG, eggs, ham, biscuit and hash browns. Nice quirky place with outdoor seating in the Bishop Arts district. Full menu all day with a bar.

My husband and I dined here for a late lunch and the restaurant was not very crowded. Our server was just okay, but certainly nothing special. Service was especially slow for drinks and food. The first hiccup came when the beer my husband ordered off the menu was no longer in stock. He chose another and it was served more warm than chilled. The second hiccup was that they were out of beets and could not make the beet salad we ordered. Come on - there were only THREE salads on the menu! (Could someone not run to Tom Thumb?) The third and major hiccup for me was that our appetizer, our salad and our entree were all brought out at the same time.....and all after quite a long wait. I am really not sure what the issue was with the inattentive service or the kitchen issues getting food out, but we were not impressed. The food was pretty good. The fried okra appetizer was nice and the lemon aioli was very tasty. The pear, prosciutto and kale salad was good, though small. The buffalo chicken mac & cheese was enjoyable and filling - though on the more spicy side. One other note - I was quite surprised to see a manager sitting in a booth near us counting money the entire time we were seated. I don't think it was SAFE for one thing! And I don't think sitting at a table with patrons eating is the place for stacks of money and tickets to be in everyone's line of vision. Just a thought......

Arrived for a meeting ordered breakfast meal. Couple eggs, potatoes, sausage. I’m a breakfast cook and never thought someone could mess up breakfast but your cooks managed to drop that bar! Cut potatoes were over cooked and the sausage was burned ! The place was busy but probably locals and more drinks than food. I won’t be back but I sure that the younger crowd that come here don’t know the difference in properly prepared food vs ill-prepared food!

Cute little cafe in the Bishop Arts District. Someone from a store in the area recommended it but we all thought it was just OK. I had the Cobb salad and it was fine. A friend ordered a different salad but was brought the Cobb in error so she had to wait for it to be changed. My partner had the fried green tomato BLT and, again, thought it was “just OK”. Service was friendly and attentive but I’m not sure any of us would go back.

They have a dessert here called the Ding Dong. It is basically a recreation of the Hostess version. Real chocolate cake with cream filling and covered in a ganache. Their two dishes I would recommend would be the buffalo mac and cheese or the meat loaf. Solid restaurant.

I really want to love this place... the food comes out and looks amazing! However when you take your first bite it's a bit disappointing and bland. The atmosphere is great, the service is great, The Latte I had was Amazing. I will be back for coffee and the friendly staff. The food was flavorless but I can't bring myself to give them less than four stars. The rest of the experience is to good.

Great Food, Great staff and Great Coffee, but go early, the place fills up fast. You might be able tow walk right in and set at the bar. Great Eye candy too. Say Hi to Birch while you are there at the bar.

I was a little concerned about Oddfellows after reading some reviews, especially about service. Considering how busy they were I thought they did a good job. They have an app that texts you when your table is ready, which is great because we shopped for a while while waiting. Every worker I could see was hustling!! Our food was delivered much quicker than I expected considering how busy they were. We were seated at an outdoor table and it was a little too cold for my wife, so I asked to be seated at the bar were there was not so much of a breeze. My waitress was reluctant but conceded. We had ordered drinks while sitting there prior to being seated. We should have just stayed there to begin with! My wife and I had the two dishes our waitress said were the most popular:Short rib hash and Chicken and waffles(which my wife had a taste for and was the whole reason we went to Oddfellows). Both dishes were excellent. Bloody Mary's were a little too spicy for my taste!

I have now been there for both breakfast and lunch. The people watching is awesome. I enjoyed breakfast with some very unusual items. I then went back for a late lunch when the place was almost empty and was happily surprised that I got the same great service as when they were busy. Tea glass was always full and the server was attentive but not overly. Had some of the best fried chicken with mac&cheese and mashed potatoes. Excellent!!!

I had an awesome time here at Oddfellows and it could not have been better! The dish I had was amazing! I could not say anything bad about this place.

I have been here numerous times, and it is always amazing! I have tried the waffles, which are so DELICIOUS! I am not much of a sweets for breakfast person, so I usually opt for the breakfast skillets. The chorizo skillet is simply amazing. They give you 2 corn tortillas on the side, but we always ask for 3 so that we can eat everything as a taco. Crazy Texans and their tacos. ;) Their cappuccinos are so-so, but their pour over coffees are pretty good. Sometimes the wait can be horrendous, but that is when you order a pitcher of mimosas from the bar and sit outside and wait it out. I also recommend downloading the No Wait app for your phone and getting in line before you even get there, it is the best invention ever.

We were visiting from out of state and had a great brunch at Oddfellows! Great vibe and was a nice day. We ordered the chicken and waffles (which was excellent!) and biscuit and gravy. He coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice are a must!

We had a wonderful experience on a Friday night. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the pimento cheese dip and crab dish appetizers. Both were tasty. For entrees, we had buffalo mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, trout, and cheeseburger. All the food tasted good- the trout was not our favorite but we would still go back to the restaurant and eat something different.

I had always wanted to try this restaurant but it has always been so busy. Today we were able to get a table really quickly. We were both very disappointed. We shared the pressed coffee. It was bitter and not palatable. Then the food was just bad. My husband got the O.G. (Basic breakfast). There was no seasoning and the bacon was both burnt and raw at the same time. I got the brisket hash and it was disappointing too. Greasy, tons of seasoning but no flavor. We left underwhelmed and wishing we had just stayed at home. Waitress was not interested in checking on us. The service was lacking and just a waste of our time overall.

I had to talk my husband into going in because he said the place looked dirty. We got up late on a week day and were looking for some place to go for lunch at 3:00 pm. We didn't want chain food and not much was opened during that dead time from 2:30-5:30. We were staying at the ALOFT downtown. I suggested we go to the Bishop Street Arts District to walk around and see what was opened. We parked and nixed BBQ - tired of BBQ. Had eaten pizza at Il Canne Rosso the night before- no pizza - didn't want burgers which brought us on our walk around to Oddfellows. By this time husband was fussy like a toddler because he was hungry. We walked past the front of the restaurant and turned the corner which functions as the side of the restaurant. It's looked a little bit scruffy and someone was taking out the trash. I suggested we go in and then the big whine started however I prevailed or rather "not hamburgers" prevailed. We are not vegetarians but we ordered a Quinoa Salad taking the server's suggestion that we pump up the taste with chillied mushrooms. I ordered a green tomato BLT. The waiter suggested I add a fried egg which I did, however it did not arrive on the sandwich. I am not a fussy diner and I was half way through the sandwich before I noticed so I didn't feel I needed this error fixed other than on the bill which was done graciously. We shared a french press pot of coffee. It was very good, Guatemalan. Coffee is something I am particular about. While there were errors and the place could appear a little fresher, I was grateful for a thoughtfully prepared meal mid afternoon. My green tomato BLT was fantastic and satisfying. The manager was very friendly and we talked about several topics. Staff was changing shifts which adds to apparent disorganization. I would go there again, especially at that time of day. It's laid back, unhurried and the food thoughtful and fresh.

Met with friends @ 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday for brunch. I chose this particular restaurant. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Seated and given menus, we first ordered coffee which we had to suggest doing, not our server. As we looked over the choices, our coffee was served not hot, not even luke warm. The cream served was much warmer than the coffee, as it evidently was allowed set to set it out too long as it slightly curdled when poured into the warm, but not hot coffee. The atmosphere was not friendly at all, the food we ordered was far too bland. Most digusting were the flies swarming about our table trying to land on our coffee cups and food. We constantly had to "shoo fly away" leaving a not so good taste in my mouth, thinking what foods we can't see might be fly contaminated. When these facts were mentioned to an employee they were very cavalier about the situation, as if my compliant was not in compliance to their way and merely my problem, not theirs. I suppose it is/was, so to correct this incident from ever happening again, Oddfellows will not be on my brunch or anything list going forward. Where the quaint, cozy restaurant with great atmosphere & food went to,I don't know.

This is a hip place to meet for breakfast and lunch - good selection on the menu and for coffee drinks Staff is good, but service can be a bit slow during breakfast on weekends. over all a good place to meet friends and family

My experience was awesome! I love the farm to food type restaurants that offer fresh ingredients. I visited the restaurant for Sunday brunch and the place was packed! That's how you know the food is good right!?!?!?! Someone told me about the red velvet pancakes, but no one wanted to share so I ordered the smoke salmon and goat cheese, cheese grits and a peach Bellini - the bomb!

The menu looked interesting and we were seated right away, but in a moment's time, during weekday lunch about 11:00 AM, we discovered this place may have wonderful food but we simply could not hold a conversation while there such a brief time. Unfortunately, many restaurants are going this direction, with extremely poor acoustics, probably so diners won't linger and they can get more folks in and out quickly. Not for us. Did not stay and instead walked down the block to Hattie's which was wonderful!

This place has great coffee, breakfast and lunch. The desserts are also delicious. Been here numerous times for lunch and loved the mac n cheese and all of their salads.

Four of us went for Sunday brunch. The hour long wait seemed a testimony to the popularity of the place. Service was friendly but slow, and we noticed they had difficulty expediting dishes in the kitchen. Meals were delivered at different times and were of variable quality. Buffalo Mac was good. Chicken and waffles was average. Chilaquiles was inedible - a congealed melange of rubbery egg and cheese on top of chewy old chips. We won’t return.

After flying all night to visit our darling daughter, I wasn't sure if I wanted breakfast or dinner. She took me to the perfect people-watching spot to recover. We rehydrated with cappuccino and mimosas, both just right in their own way. I like a spot where, when you ask the table of regulars next to you what is good to order, they tell you everything on the menu is a good choice. We finally settled on the crispy fried chicken and a juicy bison burger, then added a single stack of fluffy pancakes on the side. Everything was tasty. While you're in the Bishop Arts District, take time to visit the local points of interest (especially the chocolate shop!).

We visited in May 2020, and are on the beautiful patio. Drinks were good, (coffee and mimosas) as well as our deviled egg appetizers and the pimento cheese is to die for! Entrees were all very well prepared and filling. Service was attentive. Would come back for sure!

I recommend the curry veggie burger, it was fantastic. The side salad was ok. My wife had the smoked salmon and said it was pretty good. Drinks were very good and service was great.

We went to the Bishop Art district for a quick business lunch. Oddfellows was having a table available so we went for it. I took the fish sandwich with the house salad. Fish was well cooked and not greasy at all. Colleagues took various dishes that also appeared to be pretty good. Good atmosphere, friendly waitress and reasonable prices.

It’s been a while since we came here and decided to do breakfast! We both love the Bishop Arts section of Dallas for it never disappoints..... it wasn’t at all crowded and we were immediately seated at a table and served coffee and water! Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and very polite and attentive! My husband ordered the pancake meal with a side of eggs and bacon and I had the egg scrambled with tortillas! It was very good and we had a great time with the atmosphere and great conversation! If you’re ever in the area, definitely check out this jewel! You won’t be disappointed at all!!

We went Saturday morning around 11am and had a 35 min wait but that was ok because the area -Bishop Arts District- has cutest and most unique shops to browse in while u wait. Back to the food: we both devoured our egg scrambles mine with short ribs & green chiles.. My hubby had the vegetarian version. Highly recommended locale. We wanna return to try the chicken and waffles!

Local place with a fresh, creative menu. The lady (who was very good at multitasking) immediately welcomed us very friendly and made my son feel welcoming as well. It is a cozy, laid back café with seating in and outside. We had beignets, pancakes, quiche, eggs benedict, and caffe latte for breakfast breakfast; all yummy! I noticed many parents with small kids and how the staff enjoyed having them - loved it!

There was a crowd when we arrived at Oddfellows. Put our name on the waitlist. They would text us when a table was available. We could also see through the YELP app how many were ahead of us. This was helpful as we could visit the neat shops and wait at the same time! We ordered a pancake and fruit cup and biscuits and sausage gravy and a fruit cup. Everything was delicious! The cup of fruit was chockful of wonderful fruit - grapefruit, oranges, blueberries, blackberries, and peaches. Yes, you need to stop here but don't be in a hurry!

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while now. So i decided to take my daughter and her mother to eat breakfast here. We got there right when they opened up. There were already patrons lined up to get in so I took that as a good sign. We were seated and immediately we were greeted by the friendly staff. They made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. The food was pretty good. I had the two meat egg and toast, my daughter had her usual pancakes and her mom had the chicken and waffles. Everyone enjoyed their meals but the best part was trying the Ding Dong. It was everything and more. So I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

This was our second visit for brunch and it did not disappoint. This time we tried the smoked salmon sandwich and the poor boys. Both were utterly delicious. They fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Oh and the beverages were tasty too.

Have had breakfast, have had lunches. Always good. Service good too. Will go back. Great hamburgers . Also have had eggs with Salmon , outstanding

2 of the 3 dishes we tried were really, really good (pork belly Benedict was the best Benedict I've ever tried; buffalo mac sounds better than it actually is). This is a trendy little spot so be prepared to have to wait a while before being seated. The decor and dishes are somewhat unique and the service is very friendly and quick. Prices seem on the higher side of fair. We'll go back.

I have to admit the wait here on a Saturday was horrific, but I'd say the food made up for it. I had the bison chorizo and goat cheese skillet. It comes with two flour tortillas and was more than enough. My group also ordered the Bellini and I enjoyed it- though it does sneak up on you. Also, this restaurant is extremely petite- so less baggage is more and sit outside if they are serving outdoors.

We went to Oddfellows for brunch on a Saturday during our quick trip to Dallas. It's my husbands favorite brunch spot in Dallas. We started with the fried pickles which were AMAZING. He had the burger, which looked juicy and cooked to perfection! The fries were piled high! I ordered poached eggs and breakfast potatoes. The portions are generous and the food was great. We had a nice picnic table outside to dine at after a long wait. The hostess was rude after I inquired about the length of our wait when she quoted 30 minutes and then at 30 minutes quoted 45-60 minutes. She then proceeding to fight with me that she never quoted 30 minutes. Not a great way to start a meal. Not impressed by the greeting we received, but the food and wait staff was excellent. Fun, quick brunch once you get in the door.

This all-day breakfast place in the Bishop Arts District is a great place to meet up with friends. There were six of us for lunch, although some ordered breakfast. The Bloody Mary's were nice and spicy and, according to the martini drinker, the martinis are pretty good, too. We were seated in a great corner, kind of separated from the room, with a view of the street. People watching was a little slow due to the cold weather and the mid-week date, but I can imagine it on weekends. Lunch was really good, and the vegan dish looked amazing. Our server was outstanding. Overall, I'd say this place is a keeper. We'll be back!

The service was outstanding and the food amazing. Chicken and waffles are excellent. We also had the spinach strawberry salad.

My two step-daughters took me to Oddfellows for my birthday and it was amazing. The cocktails were fabulous, our food was delicious and the wait staff was very efficient on a busy morning. We started out at the bar before moving to a table and the bartender suggested my birthday gin cocktail and it was truly amazing! We will be back!

Went here for the first time and wasn't disappointed. I had heard the normal weekend wait was 60-90 minutes, we may have waited 5...but this is probably due to poor weather. I thought the service was average, but the food was pretty good. I had the duck chilaquiles, which I would recommend but you had to really dig through the tortillas to find the duck. Everyone I was with enjoyed their dishes and the atmosphere was great. Will be back

I went while on vacation and really enjoyed this place. Their duck poutine was out of this world and I really like the braised short rib hash. The coffee was amazing. Their menu is full of unique items at a good price. I loved this place and wish we had something like it back home.

A pearl. Nice atmosphere. Great barista. Helpful and friendly staff. Pancakes was the best I’ve had.

Great vibe in and around restaurant, Very busy on Saturday morning. We pulled the move we do a lot with restaurants that have a bar. "Can we eat at the bar?" Our 1 1/2 hour wait turned into a seat at the bar in 10 minutes. Jenny at the bar was fantastic. Great bartender and very helpful with ordering (this was our first visit). We had high expectations due to reviews and unfortunately we were disappointed. The Eggs Benedict had been pre-made or sat too long in kitchen. The egg yolks were solid and the meat was over done. I think in an effort to have speedy service for patrons the food was compromised. We will try again.

We loved this place! Went for breakfast on a Monday morning, they had all the windows open and it was a gorgeous day. The fried chicken and waffles were to die for!! Can't wait to come back!!

Saw this place when visiting another joint down the street a few months back and wanted to try out as the food looked good through the window. Be ready for a wait, unless you are there at the opening bell, we waited 45 min. I consider myself a biscuits and gravy expert so I had that. It was disappointing as the biscuits were hard as a rock, gravy had a good flavor but did not make up for the hockey puck biscuits. Huevos rancheros were very tasty, good go with less runny black beans but other wise, very good. Other items sampled were the Buffalo Mac - Cheesy and very good. Chicken & Waffle - Crispy chicken with a small bit of heat at the end and a nice waffle. Banana Cream Pie French Toast - The name makes it sound super sweet, it was not. It was a very nice french toast that I would recommend. Ignore the name or you will think you are ordering something so sweet you could not eat it .... it is wonderful. We will go back as there were other items on the menu we wanted to try but had no room!

I seldom write a review unless a place is exceptional or pathetic. The Good. The wife’s blueberry pancakes were very good. The Bad. They were out of their Poblano Sausage gravy. No biggie, but how are you out of a breakfast item at 8:30 a.m. I guess with 4 tables they were too busy to make a batch. The Ugly. The server offered regular gravy, ugly - pasty and lukewarm. The HORRIBLE - the biscuits were obviously leftover from yesterday’s Sunday Brunch. Stale, tough, and still chilled. I presume from having being stored in the refrigerator. The patty sausage evidently left over from brunch as well – it was warmed over to the point it was not only dry, but so overcooked it was “crunchy.” I was hungry so I ate part of it. The server cleared the half=eaten plate without a question. We paid the bill, tipped the server 20% since she worked hard and the food is not her fault. On the way out the door, we complained to the server who responded with “I’ll let them know.” No offer to call a manager to hear the complaint. Do yourself a favor, eat around the corner at Johnathan’s or Norma’s. Oh, I almost forgot, the milk was cold.

I enjoyed my eggs benedict at Oddfellows with perfectly poached eggs and very good ham. The coffee was very good as well. However, our waitress was completely unfriendly and totally disinterested in serving us. She took our order, got our coffee, and gave us our check. Otherwise we never saw her again. She would walk by our table and look the other way. We visited on a weekday and it was busy, but not that busy!

Terrible service, server was not even friendly and seemed to hate her job. Took an hour for our food to come out and it was only mediocre. A long time to wait for food that was not great!! Dissapointed!!

Parking around this area is pretty difficult. I'd suggest Ubering if possible. The wait was an hour when we went. Which is reasonable considering it was a Saturday at 1 for brunch. Service was as good as it could be considering how busy it was. Food was fine. I had the avocado omelet. Nothing spectacular about any of it though. I should've gotten the buffalo Mac and cheese. That looked wonderful. I'd probably eat here again when it was less busy.

I had read many good reviews on Oddfellows but it is not very convenient to my house. When I had an opportunity to have a business breakfast there recently I jumped at the chance. The setting is very cool, very retro-chic. It is in an old retail strip that has been nicely rehabbed. There were lots of folks working their lap-tops, surprisingly, many wearing ties. So I was expecting to be wowed by the food, but I wasn't. It was fairly standard breakfast fair. I thought a place like this would have great biscuits, so I ordered one and found it flat and dry, not fluffy an moist as I had hoped.

The coffee here is wonderful, some of the best in town. And the food is fine. The service has been terrible from day one and it still is. Every time we try Oddfellows there is a problem, like a missed course, or inattentive service that just shouldn't happen. I don't mind coming in, but I would not wait 5 minutes for a table here. There are other good choices around.

Such a cute spot!! Arrive early and enjoy great food and drinks! This is not your traditional food spot, so if you're looking for something a bit different, you won't be disappointed! We came for breakfast, I got the short rib hash and my husband got the duck chilaquiles and red velvet pancake! Both were superb! As well as the coffee and bellini!! I would highly recommend and walk it off afterwards with a nice stroll through the Bishop Arts District!

Stopped with our family of five. They took our cell number as there was a little wait. We went shopping and got the text quickly after. The food, coffee and service was amazing. 5 stars all the way. I had the Huevos Rancheros. Beast breakfast I ever had.

The coffee gets you started off right. They get it from a roaster down in Austin and I think they also have some from Oak Cliff coffee. After you get done with the tasty coffee you cant go wrong with any of the brunch items. The chicken and waffles is a little different with bone-in chicken, but the waffle is still delicious.

Loved this spot. Checked it out for brunch and they served up some great mimosas and the coffee was rich and bold in a LARGE coffee cup. We sat at the bar and they also have outdoor patio seating. Ladies, they have eye candy behind the bar i.e Josh (wink). Everyone had great personality and the service is terrific. Jamie is an awesome manager and made us feel very welcome. Thanks guys we will be back.

My group decided to do brunch on Sunday after the 1.5hr wait we finally got seated. The area they sat us in had so many flies. We asked our waitress if we could sit somewhere else she told us we would have to wait for another table. Frustrated and hot we sat at the fly table. We got so tired of swatting flies we spoke to a manager that took 10% off our bill and gladly moved us to another table. I'm torn if I will go back because the food is good.

Went to this place for the first time to have some beignets but as it turned out they didn't have them anymore. What they did have were Mexicali donuts which were fantastic. They serve them with chocolate sauce and the only thing I would have liked more was a bigger portion. Don't pass them up. Great breakfast in a really cool old grocery store kind of atmosphere. Be ready for a wait if you decide to go on the weekend though. We went on a wed morning and still had to wait 30 min. Definitely worth it. The restaurant is right in the heart of the Bishop Arts district so there's lots of great shops to check out while you're waiting.

This is a great place for weekend brunch. You better get there early because it fills up fast. Great menu items. A few craft beers and lots of coffee drinks to choose from.

The restaurant is nicely located in the trendy Bishop district (Oak Cliff). As the demand for tables for brunch is very high, expect a long wait; while waiting we went for a stroll on Bishop, which was entertaining enough. Once inside the tables a very close together, which made it rather difficult with baby strollers. But the food (I had the Benedict) was really good. And so was the service. But I was kind of disappointed with the prices for the drinks. The mimosas and Bloody Mary, even ordering the pitcher, were expensive ($8/person) compared to other places. If they reduced the price I'd given it 5 stars.

A family group of six dined on a Saturday night. Both inside and outside seating with social distancing was available. Service was prompt and attentive. We started with the Pimento Cheese Dip and the Watermelon Herb Salad which was excellent. For entrees, three transplanted Cajuns opted of the Shrimp & Grits which took them back to New Orleans. Other entrees included Chicken Farro and Oddfellows's classic Buffalo Mac. We topped off the meal with bread pudding, peach cobbler and dark chocolate ding dongs. Definitely not low calorie but a great ending. Oddfellows is definitely worth a visit to the Bishops Art District.

Nice simple menu, great drafts, happy hour appetizers are great, on this Bishop district location that has friendly and courteous waiters

We stopped here for brunch while shopping in the bishops arts district. The food was delicious. I would love to go back some day and try more items on the menu. I ordered the huevos rancheros and my friend ordered the smoked salmon toast. The portions were large and full of flavor. Our food came quickly even though they were busy. They offered a variety of drink options as well, teas, coffees, and mimosas. I’d consider this the best breakfast I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time.

I went here with my daughter for brunch. We had a lovely time. Food was excellent. Would recommend pancake sampler. Delicious. Portions huge

I am shocked that folks like this place. Service was VERY slow outside. Management should assign someone specifically to this section when the inside is so busy. Our poor waitress was extremely overworked and had no assistance. To top it off the food is nothing to rave about.

Food was average but the place does have a nice vibe. I wouldn't recommend Oddfellows for the food but would for the atmosphere

Fantastic! We have spent 8 weeks on a quest for the best breakfast in the Dallas area and finally, FINALLY, we have achieved our goal! The chicken fried steak was moist and tender, so much so that I only used a fork. The eggs were perfectly “over medium”. The biscuits were dense and moist and were the highlight of the meal, however we had the bread pudding French toast was a delightful surprise that was a perfect choice for those with a sweet tooth. The latte was spot on and a carafe of mimosas was a perfect pairing to a wonderful breakfast experience. Come hungry, leave stuffed!!!

Came here for breakfast and it was great. Really good food, great coffee, drinks, and awesome atmosphere. Right around some cool shops, this place is kid and dog friendly. Staff was really chill, but not in a lazy way, they were great. Only negative thing I could say is the amount of food for the price isn't amazing. But I would definitely come back.

This restaurant had a laid back atmosphere & good food. I enjoyed the O.G with biscuit and gravy, plenty of food. Also had the frozen sangria & it was great. Would come again.

I’ve only been during breakfast but IT IS SO GOOD! I have the waffles and fried chicken, with the waffles so soft and warm, and the chicken crunchy. Although the chicken’s “crunch” get flaky, still delicious! I had the beignets, so warm and crunchy. Oddfellow’s is a great place to eat, definitely. The service was okay, nothing really bad happened with the staff. Great food. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Dallas. One of the best.

Great place to sit outside and enjoy a meal. Around the corner from all the shops of the Bishop Arts area. My daughter said the home made Mac and cheese was the best.

While in the Bishop Art District in Oak Cliff we came across this little gem. It is small and quaint, but delivers on great outstanding food combinations. Started with blood marry and first sip you realize that this is fresh made on site, not too hot, but very spiced and wonderful mix. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable as well as attentive. Wonderful offering of coffee, tea, and espresso. The menu is very descriptive and I suggest taking your time to consider all the wonderful combinations available. I was there for breakfast and had the Short Rib Hash, a delightful experience in every bite. Braised short rib, jalapeno, hollandaise, ranchero sauce, herbed potato, topped with two eggs. The tables are close and the noise can be at fairly high level, but the experience is worth the few inconveniences. Come early or get your name on list and walk a bit, this is a popular place. When in area will definitely return.

Had breakfasts with two friends (one from South America) and had an unusual experience here. This is my 10 time to eat here, but the first time that time from ordering to getting something took so long. Additionally, we had to flag down the wait staff on a couple of occasions. Getting coffee seemed to take the longest.I think about 8-10 minutes. The menu is fun and the coffee outrageously good. But my friends did not care for the wait time at all. could be greatly tightened up.

October 2013 was our first visit to Oddfellows. October 2014 is our 2nd visit. We eat Brunch at Oddfellows on the way out of town after visiting the State Fair of Texas. And this year was no different from last year; good food and good people equal a great time. We even sat at the same table as last year. We started with Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Our Brunch entrees included Chicken and Waffles, huevos rancheros, cider-braised french toast, and my personal selection of Buffalo Mac. We also ordered one of "Today's Pancake. "Ginger" was today's flavor. Oddfellows was a bit more crowded this year, but that did not keep the food and service from being great. If we were in Dallas more often, we would eat at Oddfellows more often. It's highly recommended from me!

This is such a gem, by luck walked into this place ( dead quiet on the street) but this place was full, we were lucky getting a table. The interior is no frills but cool and there is a good busy vibe. Great menu with lot of different breakfast options, and very tasty good food, but the coffee was our highlight, what an incredible brew they are serving here. I should have bought a bag of beans ( if at all possible), best brew I have tasted since moving to the USA last September. Don’t miss this place when in bishops arts.

Went to Odd Fellows with friends from work for lunch a few weeks ago. It was delicious! It's pretty small, so probably not good for a large group, but our group of five was fine. Everyone loved their food! I had the fried green tomato BLT with some awesome French fries, my friends had the Migas, Omelet, and the short rib hash. For dessert we had the Rocky Road bread pudding, which was very rich and yummy! It has a lot of brunch foods, but also has sandwiches and burgers. Great place, you need to check it out!

The food is outstanding and different and the portions large. I tried chicken and waffles here for the first time - OK, I'm not originally from the south, so this seemed like a strange combination to me. Try it if you haven't. They have a great twist on Canadian Poutine. Again, a first for me and very good. The staff were friendly and and very informative when I asked questions. On a nice day sit outside.

Went to breakfast for a business meeting. Wide variety of choices which made a tough decision. Food was very good. The coffee was a very surprising delight. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely stop by again. Highly recommend.

It can't get any better than an afternoon with your daughters without the grandchildren. Just kidding, Mom! Interesting old buildings in the Bishop's Art District, free trade shopping, for unique selections. You never know what surprises there may be. Imagine my surprise when the beet salad which arrived on a bed of, not lettuce, but rather, crusty baked bread. Delicious but hardly healthy. The vegan hamburger wasn't as tasty as some had elsewhere. Great service, nice selection of coffees.

I’ve been here a few times over the years; almost always on a Saturday for a weekend brunch. This place is awesome. The Sausage Biscuit and Gravy is my faithful choice. The poblano gravy by itself is worth the Bishop Arts parking hassle. My wife usually gets the Pancakes of the Day. A little sugar in the batter with strawberries and bananas on top make you feel like you’re in the tropics. Saw the Breakfast Scramble next to me on this visit. Think I’ll try that next time. Great service, perfect coffee and fresh-squeezed OJ rounded out our meal. Come before 10am on weekends if you don’t want to wait, but a walk around the BA district is always relaxing. Highly recommend.

We are thinking of coming back again tomorrow. Service and food was amazing. Coffee was so good. All three dishes (chicken and waffles, pork belly benedict, migas omelette) were fresh and delish!

We stopped in here for a drink after a long afternoon of shopping. I love the funky vibe of this place. My friend and I had bloody Mary's which were really good. My daughter wanted an iced coffee, which was not on the menu. Our server was so nice, she explained how the coffee was brewed, and gave my daughter a sample. After she tried it, and approved, the server brought her a cup of coffee, ice, milk and sweetener to make it to her own taste. She told us all about an upcoming event, a viewing of Roman Holiday and a vintage Vespa show. She treated us as if we ordered a big meal, even though we only wanted a drink. I really enjoy this place.

Great location. Cool outdoor seating that go right to the bar. Food was delicious. We will be back for it. Sadly this visit it took over 40 minutes to get our food after sitting down. I believe the problem to be the waitress. She complained about being tired and hungry. Management(?) checked on us one time and told us “looks good” and that was the extent of the conversation. Then she disappears the rest of the time. Advice: go, but bring your patient pants.

Visited daughter in Oak Cliff and decided to eat at Oddfellows. We were the first customers to sit outdoors, so we informed the hostess and she directed a server to our table. The morning was beautiful and we wanted to sit in the sun. The server, Penelope, was friendly, helpful and very attentive to our needs. The menu is succinct, but with a good selection of options. I ordered Chilaquiles Rojos topped with flank steak. Cooked medium and very tender. Spouse ordered the American breakfast with bacon. Thick cut bacon that was very flavorful. Daughter ordered the Huevos Rancheros with a sunny side up egg on top. Very nice presentation on all three plates. The 2 specialty coffees that were ordered were very good. The only hiccup we experienced was with the timeliness of a specialty coffee. One was served promptly, the other took at least 5 minutes to prepare. Other than that small issue, our experience was great.

A great corner in an adorable district. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or dinner. The day menu is served from 7am to 3pm, and a chef-driven dinner menu is served from 5pm to 10pm.

Love coming here for breakfast, but this place gets packed so be sure to get in line before you arrive by using the app nowait. If you don't do this expect a long wait beginning at about 930am. The espresso is hands down phenomenal and the beignets are the best in Dallas. Pretty much anything on the menu is good, so try it all!

Love Love Love this place! They have taken old wood palates and made beautiful decor! The food and drinks are on point!! I was personally impressed with their Pinot Noir! Beautiful! Spencer the bar tender was very helpful and friendly! You must check this place out!

The wait is usually pretty long on a weekend morning, but the brunch food and coffee is some of the best. It's always fun to put your name in, stroll around Bishop Arts and come back when your table is ready. Indoor seating is fairly limited, but if the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating on the patio.

My wife and I really enjoyed our meal here. The chicken and waffles hit the spot! Plenty of meal options and a great breakfast menu. A little bit of a trendy spot, but don't let it fool you the food will definitely fill you up. A friendly staff and a cozy environment. Just one more awesome spot in the bishop arts district.

The place was packed on a Thursday at lunch time, which seamed to be a good thing. A packed restaurant means good food. The atmosphere was a trendy one with some music playing in the back ground. The menu was short and sweet, and breakfast was served all day long. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken could have had more crunch, but the waffles were very good. Our orders were all across the board, the Mac and cheese was great, the skillet tacos tasted good, the buffalo burger was on point. It's a great place , and once your in the bishop arts area there are many thing to see and do.

We've tried everything from their single origin (regular cup of coffee) to hand brewed to cafe Americano and it has all been fantastic. The breakfast food is wonderful as well. If you don't like crowds, the weekends can be a bit daunting here as it is very popular and they don't have a super huge space. However, they do make good use of the space they have, and you can always wait outside at one of the picnic tables. We'll definitely be going back.

After asking a few Bishop Arts locals for a lunch suggestion, I stopped in to Oddfellows for an amazing fried green tomato sandwich! The coffee and the service were great too! If everything on the menu is that good, you're in for a treat!

We arrived at the Bishop Arts District around 10:00 and were in dire need of a restroom. There were none available. We were getting desperate. We came upon Oddfellows and there was actually a sign for public restrooms. We appreciated their hospitality so much that we bought some coffee and chai which were very good. Did not receive much hospitality in Dallas otherwise sadly. Fear has supplanted it.

Came here on a Friday night and sat in the patio. They had music and picnic tables to sit at. The crab sliders were excellent.

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday with a few friends on a Monday night. We had called a week before and made reservations for dinner for 8 people at 7:30. When we showed up there were only four other tables seated of less than four guests per table (in other words there wasn't a lot of people). Our waiter chose to not write anyone's order down and messed everyone ones order up. It took 45 minutes from when we ordered until food came out (again it was a Monday night with hardly any other customers in). When food started to come out, three of our guests got their meals and then a 15 minute pause between the next round of plates (so our friends who waited to eat until everyone had their food had cold food). When the next plates came out, a new waiter was delivering them and kept giving the wrong plate to the wrong person. One of our friends ordered a chicken salad and the kitchen FORGOT the chicken! When our friend inquired to the server about the missing protein, our server was annoyed. Ultimately our friend just at the chickenless chicken salad. The food was blank, server was awful and the kitchen was unprofessional. Won't be back!!!

Perfect little brunch spot in the beautiful Bishop Arts District. This little restaurant is absolutely adorable. The bar area is so hipster and I love it. Everyone said the coffee was fantastic. But I stuck to my Bloody Mary's and Mexican Mimosas :) We walked around the district while waiting on our Sunday table on the patio. The food was great. Atmosphere even better. And they are dog friendly!!!

Cannot recommend the buffalo chicken mac n' cheese enough. Maybe not the healthiest, but extremely delicious. You may need a nap afterwards... but speaking of naps, they also have a great coffee selection including pour-over. We went for brunch, will definitely be back.

The place is cool - open and artsy. Coffee (Americano) was great - didn't have the burn taste that it sometimes has. I opted for the banana pancakes with a side of boar sausage. I had no idea what to expect with the sausages and was surprised with 2 tiny round Jimmy-Dean-looking sausages. They were dry but not sure if that's the way boar sausage normally tastes. The pancake was ok - have had much better. I should add a caveat that the waitress advised me chicken & waffles is their specialty, but I couldn't throw down that meal at the time. If you're in the area, definitely with a coffee and maybe a snack.

I grew up in Dallas, but moved to Los Angeles after high-school. So every time I come to visit I try and explore a new area or new restaurant. This round of exploration? Oddfellows. While we did have to wait for about an hour (in the pouring rain), it was easily worth it. (and if you find yourself having to wait, which seems pretty normal here, just walk around the neighborhood. there are plenty of cool stores to pop in for a bi.) We dined on bloody mary's, friend pickles, huevos rancheros and mac & cheese. But the true star of the brunch menu was the fried green tomato BLT. I will most definitely be going back just for that dish.

Stopped in for brunch and lots of coffee! Great food. It's not a huge location for how popular it is, so there seems to always be a long wait. Which was fine with me because I knew what to expect. We had GREAT service also.

Visiting from the UK & decided to treat ourselves to breakfast on the first morning. Really impressed with the venue, service and food. From the hello to the goodbye everything exceeded our expectations. A true Texas breakfast experience, great menu choices, tasty well prepared food & reasonably priced. No hesitation in recommending, you will not be disappointed.

It takes a lot for a restaurant to separate itself in Dallas, especially when it comes to the Bishop Arts District. This area in Dallas has so many hidden treasures for restaurants (See my Lockhart BBQ review). It's no wonder that this area is constantly popular with the locals. One restaurant that continues to make this area successful for dining out is the Oddfellows restaurant. I suggested it to my wife after we were going to meet up with some new friends. Our married couple friends, who has children just like us, decided that it would be a great idea to eat at this place before churches let out. That is a great idea, but the restaurant was already packed with party people who just wanted a delicious breakfast on a spectacular Dallas Sunday morning. The wait can be very long, especially if you make it there very early. You may think that you are wasting your time here, but this restaurant does a lot to keep you here. While you are waiting, you can get some coffee or alcohol such as Mimosa (yes, people drink in the morning, too). The prices are pretty reasonable. For a Cappuccino, it is $3.80. For a Mimosa, it is $6.00. I am not a coffee drinker of the sort, so I can't tell you how it tasted. Even so, the Mimosa was delicious. You can get other drinks such as Blood Mary in a Mason jar. After waiting for almost 45 minutes, we finally got our seats. Emily was our server, and she was pretty good. She was very friendly and polite. We told her our orders. First, we decided to get Beignets. Our friends told us that we should get two baskets, and that's what we did. Emily returned with our basket of Beignets with honey to pour on them. I have to admit that these Beignets should be illegal because these are addictively awesome. They were so fresh, hot, and perfectly powdered. The honey increase the taste experience. I could have easily eaten ten baskets of these in one sitting! After devouring them like a lion eaiting a gazelle, we continue our journey of eating. My friends suggested the waffle and fried chicken. I quote him when he said that the meal was "solid". Boy, he was 100% correct. When my dish came out, the waffle was so crispy and hot, my taste buds were in heaven. The maple syrup was amazing with the waffle. As for the fried chicken, it was so juicy and crispy; that I liked every morsel/grease on my plate. Everything was so great! The wait for this place is worth it. I recommend heavily to anyone who visits Dallas.

Love Oddfellows. Variety of options, best chicken and waffles I have had. I have not been disappointed when dining at this restaurant. Come early because the line gets long quickly.

This place was highly recommended. We had great drinks and just took a moment to have brunch. The price was good and the food was excellent.

We wanted to check out the Bishop Arts District but were very hungry. We stopped by Oddfellows at 1:30 pm on a Saturday and had a 15 minute wait but we took a short stroll and it was soon our turn. The menu spans breakfast and lunch options. Together we tried eggs Benedict, the BLT and the waffle. I love Belgian waffles and order them all the time, so when I say this was the lightest, fluffiest, golden brown best tasting waffle I ever had it means something! The rest of the table enjoyed their choices as well. Well worth the drive and the wait.

I LOVE me some potatoes. I get very judgemental on restaurant potatoes because I expect them to be good and so often they are just mediocre. All that being said, the herb roasted potatoes here were great!! I was so full but didn't want to leave any to waste haha! My original pancakes were pretty good as well. We went on a Friday morning and it wasn't too packed. We were seated almost immediately. The vibe was also laid back and chill.

My daughter and I had been dying to try Oddfellows for a while. So as a bon voyage to her last Friday on summer break we went for brunch. The food did not disappoint. The breakfast scramble was YUMMY! Her buttermilk pancakes were awesome! The coffee was great. On the "not so great, you guys need to fix this" was the wait for the food and beverages. We waited way too long for coffee, especially with a dedicated barista. The food took forever, and when it was finally brought to the table, I could see the person brining it - she looked like a slo mo model she was moving so slow. Let me put is this way, my 12 year-old was suggesting Gordan Ramsey be called in for table service training. Having said that, the food was hot and tasted really good once it arrived. The atmosphere of Oddfellows is upbeat, laid back and seems like it's a lot of fun on weekends too. Would recommend, but expect a wait.

Food was good but pretty basic. I had the OG and it was good . I had the veggie sausage and that was delicious. Someone else in our group had the red velvet pancakes and did not enjoy them. She tried the regular pancakes someone else ordered and she liked them better. Services was good.

I had eaten here when they first open and enjoy my meal. But last moth was a total disaster! The dinner menu was short of items to order and what I did order was terrible. The mussels where nasty...fishy & heavy tomato sauce! I sent them back. Tried to order the cheese plate and was told they only had 2 cheese available. So, I ordered the pork chop, the chops where fine, but the rest was nasty looked like dog food. What was the line cook thinking or sending out for us to eat! Won't be back and not recommend to anyone ever! Need to redo the menu!

Great low carb option by leaving off the bun, and they graciously added sliced tomatoes as a sub. Very flavorful burger, cooked medium well, should you want it well done, just ask. Very good side salad, the house vinegrette was great.

My oldest daughter & I had breakfast & lunch @ this trendy very charming neighborhood restaurant following her recent trip to Africa. She is a Registered Nurse & was keen to share her travel adventures with me on her day off. I shared with her for the first time that I enjoyed doing reviews for Trip Advisor, since I had not really talked about this fun hobby with anyone else in the family. I urged her to join the site & post her African stories. We had a great breakfast @ this cozy restaurant trading stories. The bacon cheddar omelet is fantastic with fresh home made buttered biscuits that you could eat all day! She ordered eggs easy-over, & they were perfect, along with cinnamon sugar donuts with chocolate dip. Looked really decadently delicious. Service was prompt & efficient. Coffee was very good. The place started to get busy, & we agreed to meet back for lunch @ the outdoor patio. The restaurant has a unique design that allows it to open weather-board bays along a full corner of the serving area in order to directly serve customers sitting outside! The weather was perfect. For lunch we shared a classic chicken Cesar salad flavored with garlic, which we both love. Then we split a fried green tomato sandwich, which was absolutely mouth-watering & spot-on! You cannot go wrong with this unusual restaurant, giving you a choice of plenty of comfortable outdoor tables & chairs, direct outdoor ordering @ the sidewalk (due to the open-air design of the building), & indoor seating if the weather is inclement. Plenty of parking on side streets or adjacent parking lot. Handicapped parking right @ front door. Give it a try if you are passing through Big D or a resident. Only about two miles off Interstate 35. In the heart of Oak Cliff.

We stopped here for brunch on a Sunday early afternoon. After an hour wait we were hungry and hoping for a good meal. The service was fine, however, the food took way to long to prepare and one adult meal never arrived. We were disappointed with the large ahi tuna salad. The larger size salad at double the price had no more tuna than the small size. Of the other 6 meals only the Bison burger was memorable. We had to ask for them to packed the missing meal to go since the rest of the party had finished their meals. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful so we enjoyed our outdoor table. The manage was very apologetic and appropriately adjusted our bill. We will not return.

good food and treats coffee and drinks.. nice place to visit and have some breakfast. great staff and late night food

Went on a random Wed afternoon for lunch. The service was great, the food was mediocre. My friend got the Brisket Hash, it was lukewarm on top and dang near cold on bottom. scrambled eggs, potatoes and brisket were very wet, probably due to sauce, just too much of it. Brisket texture was nice and tender. I got the burger and fries. Burger was great. They gave a ton of fries though they were room temp and kinda soggy. like they had been sitting for a while. We split the deviled eggs, very disappointing. They were cold, obviously came out the fridge, and there was so much going on you couldn't really taste anything in particular. And they were cold. Deviled eggs should not be cold. Room temp and the lowest. Didn't hate it but I don't need to go back.

We came here for dessert after eating down the street... Apparently they are famous for their cappuccinos and have a very unique machine for making them... We ate on the stools outside on the sidewalk which was fun because you can watch the bartender make your cappuccinos.. And he tells you all about it as he does... Super, super awesome and friendly bartender. Young guy with a beard and a lot of tattoos - with even more personality! They were out of the two desserts we wanted to try but the bartender encouraged us to order the banana bread pudding with extra ice cream - and we are so glad we did!!! Phenomenal flavors and the vanilla ice cream tasted homemade! Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to returning for dinner or brunch!

Great brunch in the Bishop Arts District. Wait was shorter than the expected 30-40 minutes. Atmosphere is fun and kitschy. We asked about the biscuits and gravy and the host/manager brought us a sample while we waited. A good biscuit with great sausage gravy. The gravy had a pleasant addition of poblano peppers. The apple cider mimosa was tasty and refreshing. The regular Bloody Mary had a spicy kick - the brave should try the mango habanero version. We ordered a few items to share from the menu: The chicken fried steak and eggs was good. The steak was well prepared and did not disappoint. The sunny side up eggs were over cooked. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was excellent. We ordered the buffalo sauce on the side as we like crispy chicken. The chicken was crispy and delicious. Perfect amount of heat in the buffalo sauce. We ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer. If deviled eggs are on the menu, you know I’m going to order them. The appetizer arrived after our entrees. These deviled eggs were not good. The presentation was a mess and the flavor wasn’t good. A couple were covered in caviar while others had next to none. But the flavor was not pleasant - I didn’t even finish one bite. The server noticed we didn’t eat and asked what we thought. He shared they recently changed the recipe and he didn’t think they had it quite right yet. My suggestion was they go back to the old recipe or try something different. Great place. I hope the egg experience improves.

Have been here several times. Always order the same thing. The Oddfellows Benedict usually comes with arugula. This time, plain.

Found this place on trip advisor and was super excited to visit it. However the experience was a little disappointing. The line out the door and wait time to be seated was to be expected of a trendy brunch spot. However once we were seated we were waiting for nearly 20 more minutes for service. The saving grace was a good server finally noticed we had been waiting and other tables seated after us were getting their orders taken. Mimosas were great and the food when it arrived at our table was really delicious. To me service makes or breaks a place though. So come prepared to wait.. and wait... and wait.

Fig and Beet Salad Trout sandwich Duck bacon sandwich - All Good Drinks were all delish. Local beer was good. Went on a Monday so it was no wait time.

A cute hip spot with fun New American food. I had the gluten-free pesto pasta that was full of veggies, and my fiance got the buffalo fried chicken + mac and cheese. It was sooo good! Like I could eat it every day. They have a good coffee menu too so you can get a bit of a recharge.

Nice place to have lunch at the Bishop Arts District. I went to Oddfellows with my wife and we had a pleasant time. Rapidly seated, nice ambiance, food very good and great service. We had Shrimp & Grits and Trout Sandwich, both excellent.

Parking was a bit of a challenge as the adjacent parking lot was under construction, however, once around the block provided an opportunity. We were told the wait was up to a half hour, but we were seated inside after a brief 5-7 minute wait on a busy Saturday morning. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. We ordered mimosas, beignets and coffee for starters, having been to the restaurant before we knew those specialties would be great and we definitely were not disappointed! Our waiter recommended the newer menu item chorizo-goat cheese scrambler and the duck confit chilaquiles. The food looked great, but didn't match expectations. Duck was almost nonexistent and elicited the remark "is that the meat?", cilantro was poorly manicured leaving some really large stems, and most of the flavor and spice was in the soggy chips which had gone cold in the bottom of the dish long before it arrived at our table. The creamy goat cheese chorizo scrambler was mild - not spicy almost to the point of being bland - and a bit over-powered by the cilantro.

We enjoyed this "hipster" dining establishment in the trendy neighborhood south of Dallas. We had breakfast and all of the food was delicious. Coffee was great and service was good. We'll definitely come back!

Friendly service, seating inside and on patio, we ate early and had to order off the happy-hour menu. But, the burger was excellent, the salad was good, the buffalo mac-n-cheese very tasty & creamy. Excellent café mocha. Bonus: side 2 of Abbey Road played all the way through!

Food was good but not worthy of the typical hour wait for a table on Sunday. There are nearby places with food that is as good as or better and with better service. That being said, we did not have a long wait as we arrived before the rush hit and the food was good. I had the short rib hash and it was good, wife had chicken and waffles which she liked and daughter had pancakes which she enjoyed. Beignets were undercooked and a little doughy in the center. Service was pretty slow. Enjoyable but better options exist.

There's a million choices here and I've done my best to try them all....some still pending. Let me say, the portions are large and tasty... especially for breakfast!

Got the classic scrambled eggs with sausages, potatoes and biscuits. Sadly no grace and it made the biscuit rather dry. But the rest was enjoyable, maybe the meat was slightly salty (personal preference The latte was not that good either, most likely the coffee beans were over roasted.

Best burger I have had in a very long time. I don't eat red meat, but when I read the description of the Oddfellow's burger, I agreed to break a longstanding eating routine. Boy, was I not disappointed.

We visited for lunch on a Monday and didn't have to wait for a table (turns out a lot of the shops are closed on Mondays, so not as much of a crowd). Our waitress was very friendly, but seemed very distracted. We had 2 requests for changes to our meals and I watched her write them down. Our meals came without the changes, and we had to send one of them back. She seemed surprised and said - is that a problem? It is if I didn't order it that way! Replacement took forever, Had to track her down for the check and then to finish paying. And this was when it was slow! Hopefully just an off day since the food was good.

Two years ago while visiting Dallas the food was good and service questionable. We returned today for brunch and were seriously disappointed for many reasons. Told wait would be about 1 hour but took 1 hr, 45 minutes. Good thing we could walk around and wait for text when our table was ready. We were seated, and it went downhill from there. Ordered food, water brought. Had to ask for a refill often, food took forever, and as Eggs Benedict dish was carried to our table a poached egg fell off, hit lady in shoulder and fell on floor. Had to tell server what happened. He left plates on our table without silverware. He returns with a poached egg (without its sauce) in a bowl and put bowl on table. As I am shocked in how our food is served, I had to ask for silverware a second time.We waited as our food got cold, picking at our food with fingers as we were starved. Finally silverware brought. Food had flavor but cold. Since we were starving we quickly ate what was in front of us and left.

Hand brewed coffee worth waiting for. The pancake of the day - blackberry. Light, fluffy and a hint of sweetness. Excellent even without syrup. We shared the bacon cheddar scramble. Rich and tasty with a portion size suitable to sharing. We really like the mocha. Jen says that it is warm chocolatey deliciousness. It's really nice to see that this little Bohemian corner of the growing and flourishing Bishop Arts District maintains its standard for handmade excellence. If you are looking for one offs this place is for you. One of our continuing favorites.

My wife and i dined at Oddfellows for the first on Friday evening. We received wonderful, thoughtful service from Diego, who left us with the impression that we were his only guests for the evening. We began the meal with a shared order of fried green tomatoes. It had a firm cornmeal crust which contrasted nicely with the firm green tomato. The best part of that appetizer was the salmon mousse which accompanied it. It was smooth and filled with subtle flavors. So good. We shared a watermelon spinach salad covered with almonds and goat cheese. Loved the contrast between the sweet and the tangy. Great salad. Our entrees were outstanding. My wife ordered the trout and it was stupendous. Our server said this was a new addition to the menu and it’s a true winner. No idea where they purchase their fish from but it tasted as if it been caught the same day. My favorite part of that entree was the homemade remoulade. It was so good we asked for a second dish of it. My entree was the steak frites which were as good as any I’ve ever tasted. The medium rare setting was perfectly prepared - pink on the inside and with a nice char on the outside of the filet. It would be hard to convince me to ever order anything else there. Dessert was also a new addition to the menu. I’m a big fan of Panna Cotta. Oddfellows gets the flavor and texture just right but might have reduced amount of crushed pistachios on top. It was almost as if the two flavors were in completion with one another. Seating is both indoor and outdoor - the weather was perfect that evening and we love dining outdoors. The restaurant is located in a fun part of the city - it offers an additional element to the meal which suburban restaurants can never replicate. I highly recommend dining at Oddfellows whenever you are in the Dallas area. It’s a great evening with a full bar and offers amazingly tasty entrees. We will definitely be back!

Oddfellows was recommended to us by a friend and we were very disappointed when we got there and there was a 2 hour wait on a Saturday morning. Good news is, you can order from their take out window and eat on their patio for a much shorter wait. Everything we got was excellent- I would recommend the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese and the Chicken and Waffles (just beware there are bones in the chicken). Also, if you are waiting there are cute shops around there. Indigo is a few doors down and amazing.

Harvey messed up our travel plans so we ended up driving to Texas instead of flying. We were in the Dallas area for dinner so I turned to TripAdvisor to find a good spot. Took us a bit to find the place but completely worth it. Funky little neighborhood, great vibe. Service was quick and food was fantastic....flavorful and inventive. Really didn't want to leave!
Nice twist on the hill
Something different. Felt I was in a Portland or Austin -quite edgy place for Dallas. Menu at 3 includes lunch and breakfast. Great variety - good too see. My wife ordered ranchero eggs and I had lemon mushroom quinoa. I was asked whether I wanted spicy mushrooms and I am sure glad I did It really helped the flavor. Delicious !!! The service was great. Cannot wait to go back
