Great

By Lesley V |

Great food. Great service. Friendly staff. Large variety of food. Took us a long time to decide as we wanted to try everything!

food very processed and nasty

By chloe |

food was absolutely horrible. i’m sure by american standards it was decent but why call yourself an italian restaurant if the food is not italian. i had a “chicken” alfredo and the sauce was very sweet which i thought was weird, the broccoli was undercooked and the chicken couldn’t even be considered chicken it was so processed, like a ‘fridge raider’ on top of pasta. the service was also not up to much as our server barely spoke to us. we spent more time interacting with the bloody ipad that was for some reason on our table. and they had the audacity to ask for a tip. when the ipad did most of their work? i simply don’t understand. the only good thing was the breadsticks.

Old Favourite

Visited around 4 in the afternoon . Seated straight away and food as good as ever. Plenty of salad and breadsticks supplied. Chicken Marsala Fettucine was very good. Always visit if there’s a restaurant in the area we visit. Recommended.

Location, Location, Location!!

By Cfarley1 |

Olive Garden is always a consistent and wonderful meal. The location is what makes this experience so special! We had a wonderful table looking right over the heart of Times Square! The service we excellent and friendly, the food was delicious, the wine was wonderful! All-in-all, an excellent experience!

Third time to NYC and third time to Olive Garden @ Time Square

By srpanderson70 |

This is my third time to NYC. My first was with my mother and she brought me here to eat. My second was with my daughter and I brought her here to eat. This third time was with my husband and I brought him here because now it is just tradition! I plan on coming back to NYC for a Girl's Trip in a couple of years... and yes, I will be back!

The Worst In Times Square?

By Alex O |

We visited a branch in Florida 7 years ago & were really impressed. After today we would never go back !! The food was awful. We were looking for something before a broadway show. This almost ruined the night.

Best to do

Loted

Always crowded and well located restaurant on 7th Avenue corner with 47th Street in NYC. A good option for those in the area. Satisfactory food with good selection on the menu. Solicit attendees.

Excellent for both lunch and dinner

I know the chain from my previous trips to New York and I love repating the pleasent gourmet experience. This time we eate at two different Olive Garden - NYC and Long Island. Both excellent in terms of the food variety, quality and service.

Never Disappoints

By David G |

My wife loves the Olive Garden in Time Square and we always visit when in this area. We arrived on the Saturday evening and the queue was out the door however the restaurant is huge, on multiple floors and within 10 mins we were in and seated, we will book next time. The staff are lovely, so welcoming, friendly and offering advice on food, drinks while ensuing you have great service throughout your visit. We ordered mains only as you get endless salad throughout and bread so we ordered Chicken Parma & Spaghetti and meatballs. The food arrived in around 15 minutes, was pipping hot and tasted good. The portions are large so we worked our way through as much as we could and only a little was left. Been here a number of times now and you know exactly what to expect, will be back another time I am sure.

Terrible service we had to leave!

By Gemma S |

Really wanted to try here on our last night out of 2 nights in NYC. Had heard good things, liked the look of the restaurant and it was a few minutes walk from our hotel. After the excitement of viewing Times Square for the first time we arrived at Olive Garden. Our happy faces were soon brought down by the miserable look of the host who immediately told us there was a 40 minute wait for a table. I said that was fine could we have some drinks from the bar while we're waiting. No it's shut was the reply! At this point I was quite bewildered and looked at my family in confusion. At that moment another staff member came down the stairs and said it's ok I can seat you now. Fabulous! So we went up to the next level and were sat at a round table next to the balcony. Not great as from what I'd researched I don't think this level is actually part of the main restaurant? There was only a few tables and no one else eating. But our kids were hungry and we were still jetlagged so were happy to make the most of it. So we sat and looked at the menus and really wanted to order. But time went on and on and no one cane back to us! No drinks order no nothing. We waited about 10 - 15 minutes then gave up and left. So disappointed. Our first visit to NYC and Olive Garden. By this point the kids were fed up so we ended up going to eat back at our hotel which turned out to be very nice so the night was saved!

Lunch in the Family

Yummy Italian Food. Amazing staff!

By Tierney Adair |

We came to the Olive Garden during our visit to NYC, the staff were so attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much of an ask. I had a gorgeous pasta with marinara sauce and chicken. The starter salad was to die for as well. The location was stunning looking over Times Square also! Our cocktails were so yummy as well! Thank you team.

Junk Food American

By PaprikaSwitzerland |

The welcome is perfect, no waiting on a Saturday night, the waitress was very helpful and available. However, apart from pasta, there is not much on the menu and the quality leaves something to be desired, I had more cream than tagliatelle on the plate, it was inedible! The quality was much better a few years ago and it became too expensive value for money.

Worth the wait

By Nikki B |

Early evening meal with my 18 year old daughter. Didn’t get off to a good start as front of house completely forgot we were there waiting and it was only when another guest said just go on up to the 2nd floor restaurant that we were finally taken to a table . We were met by our server Molly who was amazing from start to finish, she was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. Our meals were delicious with unlimited salad soup and breadsticks . Definitely worth a visit.

I can never go wrong with Olive Garden!

By Lita_hel |

As always, one of my family’s favorite places to have a casual meal. Food was good and our waiter was very friendly. We had fried calamari, shrimp scampi, cheese raviolis, meatball spaghetti.

Amazing food and service

By Sandra D |

We had soup as a starter. It was delicious and came with fresh garlic breadsticks. Pasta for main was great and the salad was divine.

Mixed….great server/food but very poor reception!

By Yoda78 |

Food was good, the breadsticks were fantastic. Our server was great & a very helpful older gentleman who couldn’t do enough for us, thank you to him. However, the young girl on the door was rude & abrupt, rolling her eyes at customers & generally very obnoxious. Had we not been so tired having literally just arrived from London & needing something quick to eat/just sit for a while (plus my colleague had been there before so it was easy), we’d have walked off with her being our first contact. It’s a great shame that the first impression of this restaurant is someone so blatantly unsuitable for customer service & clearly not enjoying the job. Be kind, customers are just human!

A great meal in the heart of Times Square!

By JuRocks |

This restaurant is a beautiful discovery we made on Times Square! The food is excellent, the service fast and the staff very friendly. The portions are generous, not to mention the roll and delicious salad that are brought as a starter. We loved our meal but we did not hunger to eat everything, unfortunately!

Two tables that overlook Times Square- great at night

By Ozetravellers |

We went to this restaurant thinking it was the one that used to be next to it with windows looking directly over Times Square. That restaurant is no longer but Olive garden does have two tables on the third floor that look out over times square . The waiters kindly let me wait for one of those tables which wasn't too long as it was 9pm. The restaurant does not take bookings. It is open until 12am. It is Italian and very reasonable priced. The mains come with soup or salad and unlimited "breadstick" which were like thin long rolls. It isn't high end dining but the food was actually tasty and the service lovely. Has some good deals at lunch time.

Horrible

By ToonTowner |

Dirty, crowded, loud, the worst Olive Garden I have ever been too. Would not recommend or go back to. Usually when you go into a restaurant someone greats you and says “Welcome to Olive Garden, how can I help you.” Not here. We were ignored while the staff was talking amongst themselves.

Great size portions

By lasv32 |

Our first olive garden experience. They provide salad with every meal and offered free top up for the soup and refills on drinks. Staff very friendly. Toilets could have done with a clean

Awful food, terrible service

By Chaza F |

Terrible. Food horrible. Never asked once how everything was. Had to wait nearly 15 mins for bill. Waitress ‘Kareshma’ took my card and went off to kitchen with it. Came back and had automatically charged 18% service. For what. Didn’t explain that I could change it. Never again.

Good Italian food

By Marco U |

A place in the middle of time square, very spacious, with good Italian menu and good flavors. It is worth the wait, usually 30 to 40 min.

Super delicious food - super unfriendly staff

By Nina |

At first we noticed that you cannot reserve a table here. You can only register on a "waiting list" & then have to wait until you get a text message. Only then can you get a table. We were there on Independence Day (4 July) at 7pm & had to wait about 20 minutes. The entire staff (who had served us or dealt with us) were so unfriendly that we were already uncomfortable. From reception at the entrance to payment, every single employee was unmotivated & unfriendly. It was always spoken in a sharp tone, totally unmotivated & sometimes not even in whole sentences. However, the food was super delicious - you get a bowl of salad & breadsticks, all of which was super delicious! Also the noodles were very good & the portions were huge. In the end, the waiter recommended that we pay at the tablet, which is on every table. He looked very intrusively over our shoulder. We actually wanted to tip a little less than the norm, but the waiter stressed & watched us so much that we had to give 20%. We felt very pressured unfortunately.

Good option for days without parks

By GERSON M |

Good food. Great option will skip a calmer meal in Orlando, without the rush of a day of park or shopping, but at the same time fast. However, do not expect the Italian food that we know in Brazil, nor the one that is eaten in Italy, as it has a more American style, a little more spicy and open to mixtures of ingredients that the Italians do not allow.

Need to improve

By Fernanda L |

I found the quality of the food and service at this unit to be very average. The salad, which has always been one of the strong points, was weak, without flavor, without dressing, it looked like leftovers. The food didn't seem to have the quality of other units I've visited. A feather.

Olive garden with a NYC View

By Regal666 |

This is a normal Olive Garden, with all the specials you would expect. You get a great view while you are eating and it is reasonably priced.

Hooters

By Lupita Gomez |

Food was great and our server Ari was great. I always order the smoked wings, but they didn’t have them. This time around I ordered the Daytona style wings they were definitely hitting. I really liked how fast the food came Some places aren't hiring enough staff so you have to wait ages. Very satisfied.

Bad care

By Gabriela Aguillar |

We went to the restaurant three times. We frequent the network in the USA. The NY, by far, is the one that offers the worst service. Today, April 2. We went to dinner after watching a basketball game. The waiter stacked the menu on the table, filled the glass with wine like it was water, did not bring the entrance salad and, even without finishing, was already taking everything off the table. At the time of TIP, I gave less than suggested and still had to hear that I am “CHEAP”. Run to the standard of the network.

Chilly experience

By martyn S |

Freezing cold ambient temperature. Mentioned several times without resolution. Manager Carlos was dismissive and unhelpful. Terrible shame as food was good.....oh and the bottomless bread sticks where never replenished.....will not be returning.....Carlos....tut tut.

Delicious, abundant, price top

By Persian Gulf |

We arrived without Reservation, but got a table after a few minutes, very attentive and friendly waiter served us, five different main courses, all very delicious and plentiful , each main course included either a salad or soup, for dessert there was no more room in the stomach, value for money TOP

Family trip

By Frances stothers |

Gorgeous food, service excellent atmosphere good we went about 5pm and got in straight away but very large queue when we came out so recommend to go early.

Wonderful staff and food

By Lisa O |

Visited here twice during our visit. Once for take out and one dine in and both times it was wonderful. Staff so friendly and helpful. Very welcoming atmosphere, seated really quickly, food delicious and plentiful. Would recommend.

Good location, decent food

By SamirNYC112 |

Good location, decent food and service, good view of nyc Times Square lights if by the window. Nothing wow’ed us but was pretty good.

Great place😊

By Teresa C |

Great soup and salad with excellent bread! Great waitresses! Bathroom was clean. Music a little loud for talking. I would recommend the restaurant for nice atmosphere!

Not great for non meat/fish eaters!

By Lisa R |

Visited following recommendations. Unfortunately like much of America everything seems to be heavily drenched in Parmesan cheese despite stating it is suitable for vegetarians! The creamy mushroom sauce was not available, as there were no mushrooms. Ended up with an unexciting pasta and marinera sauce with broccoli which had seen hot water for approximately 5 seconds. Could not eat the broccoli and was gutted to establish I’d been charged $5 for it.The server was lovely and tried his best but didn’t know about vegetarian and vegan options. Really disappointed

Gluten free pasta and great allergy awareness

By The Gluten Free Explorer |

We had a family meal here following a very long day of travelling. The food was served quickly. There is a good range of gluten free options including pasta. There are complimentary bread sticks and salad, the bread sticks are NOT gluten free but the salad is and it’s very tasty. The staff were allergy aware and do friendly and helpful. Location is central to Time Square. Great for families.

Jacob was the best!

By Jessica S |

Fantastic meal at Olive Garden Times Square, Jacob was so helpful and couldn’t have done anymore for us!

Good Pre Show Italian

By Richardofrich |

You can't get closer to Times Square than 2 Times Square. We were looking for a pre show meal and had no problems walking in at around 5 30 on a weekday afternoon. Whilst the restaurant looked empty you are taken upstairs on a narrow escalator to the main restaurant. The service was attentive and the food came out fast! The salad starter was huge and the four garlic sticks are more like four small garlic baguettes in UK speak. Portions are good and we had no room for dessert. From a wide ranging menu pre show this is a good place to go.

Great food for great price !!

By Mayur S |

just now NEW Amazing location, great service, quick food, always hot food, Lot of portions, good combo deal with that soup & salad combo. They are opened late night too which really fed us on 4th july midnight !

Olive Garden tradition

By Gus Pugliesi |

Restaurant located in Time Square, which maintains the quality of the franchise existing in other American locations and in Brazil. Although it was not possible to make a reservation, we waited around 20 minutes to be at a table. The menu has no innovations, but the food is of the same quality, with the delicious starter salad. Everything as expected and always worth the visit.

Great service

By Kev M |

Nice food visited 9th December 2024.. breadsticks amazing gluten free menu bit limited and quite pricey but overall great place on time square and service brilliant ..

An Italian of the American style

By Maria F |

A not at all authentic Italian restaurant. Every pasta has cream in it or meatballs and an escalator leads up to the totally chilled restaurant. But we were starving and the food helped and at least the pasta wasn't overcooked.

Just like I remember.

By Gordon B |

We couldnt wait to return to this restaurant which we have frequented over the past many years. Polite and friendly staff and high quality food. Just as se like!

Good Italian at an amazing location

By veera s |

We had a lovely visit here and we only had to wait under 10 minutes to get a table. The location is perfect and therefore the view to Times Square was amazing from the restaurant. We had pasta, soup and cocktails. The food came very quickly and was very delicious. Also the salad and breadsticks were amazing. The food portions were very big which was good. The service was good also. The food was a little pricey, but it was okay since the location was so good. Overall a good experience.

Excellent! All rich

By S J B |

Everything was excellent, abundant and rich pasta dishes. Very good salads. All very good to go again without a doubt.

Bad standard

By Benjamin |

I think this olive garden wont exist much longer. The inventory was all in a very bad shape. The windows and the carpet were really dirty. We all know the olive garden food, but in this restaurant the food freshness was way below the standard.

Nice atmosphere

By Silvana B |

Very family atmosphere. You have to move away from the perspective of Italian cuisine a little as the dishes are a little revisited, but the fettuccine alfredo is very, very good. I really loved the cocktails and the mint chocolate at the end of the meal was delicious

Not good

By James |

Horrific - worst food in NY Was here for lunch and it is not up to scratch, staff don't care and probably its locations means they will get footfall

Most deliciou grilled salmon

By Travtripper |

Olive garden prepares the most delicious grilled salmon dish service with seasoned broccoli along with their delicious salad.

Do not recommend

By 642familyof5 |

Would absolutely not recommend this is if you are looking for quality. Family of 5 from Sydney and this was really terrible, not even cheap! If you’re looking for food near Time Square do yourself a favour and walk a few blocks away to Hells Kitchen!

The Italian diner.

By joseph t |

*Allow me to take you an a journey that was my very first Olive Garden experience.* First and most importantly, I grew up on Long Island where Italian food is plentiful and everyone knew Olive Garden as “The Italian Diner”. That said: I chose the garden despite my distaste for olives because few things are funnier in my mind than 4 well dressed gay men arriving to a tourist trap in Times Square, surrounded by vinyl banquettes and mass produced prints of charcuterie boards which coincidentally are not on the menu. We were seated after waiting the typical 25 minutes for a friend that was on gay people time, a tradition upheld by the community to provide a gentle incline of cackling in the air of heterosexual spaces. We were escorted to the very back of a football field sized dining room and seated between a family from Nebraska and Che Diaz who was going to town on a barrel of salad. Our view of the M&M store was overshadowed by another patron who donned a socially inappropriate hairstyle. If you ever want to see a white girl with box braids slurp up a plate of spaghetti, this is the place for you. Our server was an older gentleman who was either terrified of us or was experiencing the inevitable effects of too many breadsticks because he could not get away from our table faster. The flatware.. I clutched my pearls when I unrolled the polyester napkin and was presented with a three prong fork made of aluminum. I remain baffled by the salty lettuce. The breadsticks were inconsistent in flavor but when you got a good one, it was worth the 4,000 calories. The chicken Parmesan paled in comparison to a visit to any given Aunt’s house for Sunday dinner on long island. My friend ordered something called an “Italian margarita” and by the time we were walking to the subway after dinner, he had seemingly developed a case of Tourette’s syndrome, repeating the words “orange sugar”. We all left bloated yet mildly satisfied. A similar feeling to leaving the doctors office after a colonoscopy.

What a deception. First time, last time

By Anne |

Never again Too salty, they even indicate it in the card! Serveuse peu aimable. We had the impression that we were disturbing her! Price doesn’t correspond to quality

Old Reliable

By ADELA V |

We ended up dining here twice during our trip. The first time we were not given a great table. The waitress took way to long to bring us the check. She then says the computer system was messed up. The second time was a bit better. We could at least see out a window this time. The dessert I wanted was not available yet. So they really should not use the new menus yet. The waitress was very nice, and the food was good.

No good

By Randall |

We’ve been too many Olive Garden restaurants before, and we’re always satisfied. The one in NYC Times Square reminds me of a tourist trap. Good quality poor, pasta wasn’t cooked enough, and even cold when served. Taste was bad. As per the service, the worst. Unfriendly, unhelpful. Very strange ambiance, you feel like the waiters are standing there together, and instead of doing their work, they seem to analyze and criticize their guests. Won’t return there!

Avoid … very expensive and low quality food and taste. So many other option at a walking distance.

By patlalande |

Food quality and taster are, at best, just « ok ». Terribly expensive for what you got. It’s warm and humid in the restaurant.

Excellent

By Luiz F |

Always good. Good service, good and fast and cheap price for the tourist place in which it is located.

Go here if in times square

By jani2 |

probably the best tasting food we found in times square! we went 3 times. Server was great, water was cold

Great food with good early evening deal price

By Robyn W |

We chose to eat here as we had been to Olive Garden in Florida so knew that it should be good. The food didn't disappoint and with the early evening deal the price was reasonable. We sat by the window which had a view of the street (Broadway), nice to watch the hustle and bustle of NYC! Tasty food, good service, would definitely eat at Olive Garden again.

Same high standard.

By Gordon B |

We have frequented this restaurant fo many years. Its our "mustgo" restaurant in Mahattan and th e food and service remain the same since it was lunchtime we ordered the soup and salad combo, both bottomless with the same tastes Wait staff extremly friendly and helpful

Card Cloned by dreadful staff

By Lindsay D |

Service was appalling and the food was even worse When I asked for the 20% tip to be removed the sullen waitress took my card to an area at the back of the restaurant. I watched her and she disappeared. I asked the manager to please get my card back - could not have been less bothered. You’ve guessed it - they cloned my card! Fortunately my bank was on it and noticed the 5 charges as being suspicious. All sorted now but avoid avoid avoid this restaurant. If you do go please be on your guard and do not let the waitress take your card!

Prime location disappointing food

By Glo731 |

Great location the service was good. My soup was delicious but my entre was bland and lukewarm. The food was pricey but considering the location it's understandable.

Italian pleasure

By Adamaris L |

It is love amore like they say. In Italian terms this is my favorite food. Thank you for my birthday wishes celebration. Together we made a great song. Hehehe.

Average Food & Disappointing Service

By Havana_Blast |

We had a family meal back in December, after it had been recommended by my brother in law. Now I don't like cheese so maybe visiting an Italian restaurant is not the best idea but in all the times I have eaten Italian there has always been something to tempt me on the menu. My wife and daughters all had pasta dishes, all with cheese or a cheese based sauce, and in fairness their meals were ok. I asked for fillet steak, you can't go wrong with a steak, the menu said it came with vegetables served with cheese so I asked the waiter if I could have them served without. The waiter told me ' Sir this is an Italian restaurant and everything comes with cheese ' I told him I didn't want cheese so could he do me the vegetables without and was told no, so I asked if they had any fries or potatoes and was again told no, do you have any plain pasta without cheese on it - again I was told no. I told him that I wouldn't have anything in that case so then he says he will have a word with the kitchen and see what they could do, he then came back and said he could do the courgettes without cheese and they also had some broccoli - great, I will have that. The meals arrive my steak is no bigger than a 4 oz burger and the rest of the plate is covered with enough Corgette and broccoli for the four of us. One bite of the steak and it is over cooked, then a mouth full of the green veg and it is stone cold so I called the waiter back and told him the meal is cold, he apologises and takes it away and returns 15 - 20 minutes later with a fresh plate - the steak is replaced by an even smaller one but the veg is at least warm. By the time my meal was replaced the rest of the family had finished theirs. For $120 plus tip it was hugely disappointing that asking for something without cheese was such a massive issue, either the waiter just wasn't bothered or maybe food comes in to the kitchen partly prepared and that is why losing the cheese was such a problem but for me it was the worst meal of our trip. The pasta dishes that that my wife and daughters had were ok but for that price so they should be.

Terrible food

By Beverly J |

Terrible food everything tasted of Heinz tomato soup. I ordered an alcoholic drink which tasted as if it had zero alcohol in it. Even the beer tasted strange. I wouldn’t advise anyone to eat here. One redeeming factor was our server was a really nice guy.

Horrilble I loved it

By Xavier B |

It was so bad that I loved it I Would not not eat it the was so good it made me mad abbbbbbbsouuuuloutleyyy ricdiculaus

Michelle waiter is really attentive

By Mariana M |

The food and the place is amazing, but the best part of the experience was the waiter Michelle she is so sweet, loved being served by her.

…..,Don’t bother!

By Anonymous. |

The worst meal I’ve ever had! The waiter was a bit slow responding after showing us the very basic menu although in all fairness to him he made every effort with his customer service and was a friendly character. We had the raspberry lemonade drinks which were extremely sickly and so sweet could turn you diabetic! The Chicken Alfredo was vile and a 2 year old could have put together a more tasty meal. Felt sick leaving the place. Floor was unclean. Massively over priced. This company needs to re-evaluate why they are in the restaurant business.

Yummy food, lovely service

By Harriet |

I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was incredible. I got the sausage soup as a started and it looked very unappetising, like it had just been scooped out the Hudson. The breadsticks are so good and live up to their hype! The staff are lovely. The lady who served me was kind, friendly and welcoming: a much needed tonic after a week of angry, rude and unpleasant New Yorkers! The location is fabulous. Easy to get to and incredible views of time square. I really enjoyed my visit, but I was very full! Pace yourself on those breadsticks!

delicious

By israpes |

My daughter and I were there for a quick lunch before the broadway show. The location is great. I ate mushroom ravioli and my daughter ate cheese ravioli which both were delicious. The service was very fast. I definitely recommend.

Very good!!

By Paolla |

If you are very hungry it is worth it!! Lol dishes very well served! Very delicious food!! Affordable price consistent with what is offered. Yes, I would come back and I recommend it! Very varied menu for all tastes!

Very Bad

By Luke E |

Worst meal i've had in a long time, felt sick straight after i left! The garlic bread was poor and tasted like microwaved bread with a funny taste. However it came with a luxurious salad bowl that everyone was leaving behind.

To avoid !

By Paula M |

Value for money = 0. Bad service. Waiting for glasses for the beers served, never arrived, forced to go get them ourselves. And the icing on the cake because we didn't have dessert, just 3 pasta dishes and 3 drinks, an exorbitant price! Almost $150!

Main course

The Worst Italian restaurant in NY

By Paul D'Sousa |

The worst Italian restaurant I had been in my life. The food was pre made, tomate sauce from a can and they no idea what's a margarita (it's on the menu). We went for dinner and thet gave was PLASTICS CUTLERY. They staff were not friendly a all.

Worth the value

By Datolinho |

for those who already know, a safe harbor; for those who are presented, a good surprise troubles a little lack of standard of care while some waiters are just professional, look at 18%, 20% tip, others suggest, give tips, are more friendly if possible, avoid dishes where protein is "added" - they end up expensive, without delivering the value spent the entries are generally very good and well served ah... attention to the note if you are with children: occasionally try to add the use of tablet, even if it does not occur

Best Olive Garden out there

By jadis1 |

The BEST Olive Garden we’ve ever been to ( in 5 states). Our server was Wendy and she was great- best salad EVER! Huge portions

Deshonest restaurant... charges more without permission

By Ricardo R |

I went to this restaurant at Tines Square dinner with my bride and paid 14% of the tips (the smallest one) and then I would debit my card, only when I went to see they debited the highest amount of tips from my card. Result I was stolen in $7 dollars, which I did not authorize....

Save your money…

By SoloLeila |

My friends and I were really looking forward to a trip to Olive Garden as we don’t have one in the UK. We arrived shortly after 5pm and were seated virtually straight away after being told to take the escalators upstairs. Once we were upstairs there were a number of staff around all chatting and had taken little notice of us. It was unclear if we should be wait to be seated or if we were supposed to help ourselves. We were seated relatively quickly following this. We were told when we sat down we could order some drinks and appetisers on the tablet provided, otherwise a waitress would be over shortly. We ordered drinks and an appetiser on the tablet and still waited around 15-20 minutes for the waitress to come over and ask if we were ready to order (after us asking another server if we could order) We explained we hadn’t had drinks yet so she left without taking our order to get our drinks (I think our appetiser actually came before the drinks). She then returned and took our order, all fine. My friend had ordered broccoli with his pasta as an extra and when the food finally arrived (it was nearly an hour after arriving) it didn’t have the broccoli included. We mentioned it to the waitress when she came by some time later and she said we needed to order it as it was extra, we explained we knew it was extra and it was asked for at the time of the order. We asked her to make sure it wasn’t on the bill but she returned 10 minutes later with a bowl of broccoli. We explained we didn’t want the broccoli as my friend had already eaten half of his food by this point. We were then offered the dessert menu which we declined as we had to leave and asked for the bill. The bill came and we were good to pay straight away and asked to split the bill. You would think we asked for something unheard of… it seemed to be such an issue that we wanted to each pay for what we had. Not quite sure what the problem was but she kept mentioning needing the manger to split the bill? Then a tablet appeared and we tried to pay with that but that wouldn’t work. We then ended up splitting the bill evenly because she seemed so confused by the ordeal. My two friends paid by card and I wanted to pay cash and we explained we would leave a cash tip (after being asked about it several times). I paid with a fifty and had to wait for change, which was subsequently incorrect, and again was told she needed the manger. We’re unsure why but by this point it was nearly 7pm and my friend became frustrated and explained we needed to leave. She also appeared frustrated and said she can’t give us change without the manger? It had taken nearly half an hour to pay the bill after receiving it. I don’t usually mind leaving a tip for good service when it’s customary but this was just an awful experience and we felt hassled to leave a tip regardless.

How can they make a Lasagna so bad?

By keith c |

Been to Olive Garden a few times in Florida, usually pretty enjoyable. We were struggling to find somewhere at short notice, so thought this would be a good bet. Big mistake. Server was efficient, no complaints there. Salad bowl okay, breadsticks nice. I had the tour of Italy. Pasta Alfredo was quite nice, chicken parm was well overcooked. The Lasagna was inedible. Hands down the worst I have tasted. Like cardboard layered with tomato ketchup. Either OGs have gone way down in quality, or we picked a bad day. Either way, it was memorable for the wrong reason. Bad Lasagna, really bad.

Poor service and mediocre food.

By Nicola H |

Four times the server told us that a 20% tip was not included. When we sat down, when he took our order, when he brought our order and when the bill came. I wouldn't mind but his service level was very poor. Food was mediocre at best and very expensive for what it was.

Restaurant on 1st floor, very good service young people, super rich and tasty food at a right price to be in the heart of Times Square. I'm sure he'll be back.

So much food!

By Drea M |

Olive Garden is our favourite when travelling to the US. The Lasagna Fritta are amazing and should be a main course! They are super filling and delicious. The unlimited soup salad and bread always great. The Times Square location was easily able to accommodate our party of 10 with no wait or issue. The Roscato is definitely a must try.

Very Disappointed

By Sinead H |

We booked into Olive Garden for dinner. We have been there multiple times pre Covid and enjoyed it however based on our experience this time we will not be returning. While we only had a 20 minute wait to be seated it went downhill from there on. The menu was limited,we had very poor service, our salad refill came when we were finished our main meal, and one person found a very long hair in their dinner. Watch out for the 18% Gratuity automatically added at then end !

Good experience

By lesley g |

We really enjoyed our meal here. We are from Ontario and there are not any locations near us anymore so this was a treat for us. Great service and good food. Salad was very fresh and the seafood pasta was tasty and a good size portion.

Pretty view

By Lori C |

It is your normal Olive Garden but the view is nice. The staff was so-so. I would be skipping this my next time there. So many other places with friendlier staff is all around the area, which is sad seeing Olive Garden is my family's favorite place to eat

Great italian lunch option in Times Square

By Raissa T |

Great lunch food!! From 11am to 3pm there is a special lunch menu with normal sized dishes (for 1 person) and they come with soup or salad, whatever you choose. Honest price for the food quality and amount served. And the salad thar comes along included is a plus.

Great food at a affordable price

By Björn Hast |

So we ended up here two days in a row, we were so satisfied with our first visit so we came back. We now understand that we had some luck with our first visit and got a great waiter. Nevertheless the food is great and relatively cheap for being in Times Square. We’re both vegetarians and found a few different dishes to choose from. Absolutely enough for us. The endless salad and breadsticks only applied on our first visit when we got the best waiter. Portions are big and the leftovers were enough for us to have as lunch the day after. I absolutely recommend this!

IN SEARCH OF HIDDEN ITALIAN CUISINE

By Carla |

Just one word "ick". It's an insult to Italian cuisine. Only the names of the dishes on the menu are Italian.

Delicious

By Georgia G |

We’ve never been to olive garden before but we had a really great experience, really friendly server and the food was delicious. Loved the bread sticks and salad to start and the main we got was the tour of Italy so we got to try a bit of everything, definitely would go back.

wonderful experience

I met this place in another city, I felt great joy to find it in new York in the middle of times square. the food is delicious, good service and price.

Unclear menu

By Attilio G |

Classic tourist restaurant. Italian sounding dishes, with parmisan everywhere, but in mine only so much melted cheese. The mentioned gluten-free options are not suitable for those who are celiac, those who are allergic to gluten, in my opinion, can not eat here. I asked at the reception on the ground floor if gluten free dishes were also safe from gluten contamination in the kitchen. I asked at the reception upstairs, I asked the waiter, but despite the reassurances, it went wrong. First of all they brought me the normal pope, a mistake that can fit, but they got off to a really bad start. Chicken parmisan, a chicken breast pizzaiola, not bad in flavor, but evidently with gluten. The waiter made me talk to the manager, all very nice, but in my opinion they ignore the problems of celiac disease and the "gluten free variant" is in my opinion a marketing move, ignoring that celiac disease is a disease, an allergy that causes disorders with contamination alone, using the same tools to cook even foods with gluten, for example. This is my opinion

Such a great location, but food is side street quality

By Steve K |

Location is great, but would not recommend to eat here. Food is very bad, very greasy and restaurant is not very clean I have eaten here so many times and they just don't improve from canteen food fast service. They should behave like a restaurant, but they maintain this Times Square as quickly as you can service so the next can be ushered in.... No personal service at all. It is OK if you want something fast, bland and out again before a show, but if you are looking for some quality, to be serviced and have a nice meal, drink and conversation this isn't the place for you. It is one step above McDonald's fast food in my opinion....in fact, McDonald's is probably cleaner inside..... They need to improve or stay as they are if that is the market they are wanting to attract is the pre-broadway show guests.... quick, fast eats...... Try it, just my opinion, but with a location like they have.....you could make this a hidden gem to rival the other classy restaurants nearby in Times Square.

Family dinner at Times Square

Great service and wonderful food. Our waiter was so good. He was quick and so friendly. Prices were fair for downtown. Breadaticks were cold, only complaint.

Fabulous Olive Garden!

By SallyPembrokeshire |

Went here for an evening meal whilst on holiday in NYC and the whole experience was fabulous from start to finish! Our server Sophia H was truly wonderful. Such a friendly server and nothing was too much trouble. The food tasted amazing and was delivered in a timely manner even though the restaurant was very busy. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choice of dishes, ranging from the seafood alfredo, chicken scampi and ravioli carbonara. The warm breadsticks and salad bowl were incredible! Would highly recommend checking this restaurant out if in Times Square because you won't be disappointed!

Quite Good

By SueBuenosAires |

Quite good. We shared a pasta dish and a salad. Salad dressing was good. It’s difficult to find a place to eat a salad in Time Square. Good choice.

Amazing food

By richard |

Excellent service food was amazing and plentiful, no need to book always space within 10 minutes wait. Would definitely recommend great location.

Don't try it go somewhere else

By Vladimir M |

Salad was not like other olive garden shops plus waiter never offer cheese Pasta was tasteless waste of money and Time. Very disappointed

HORRIBLEEEE

By Brodie J |

I went to Olive Garden with my friends. the service was terrible. The waitress was bad and very impatient. The service was slow and when I received my food it was cold. The restaurant is very hot. The food was very expensive. The bathrooms are very dirty and there was water on the floor. The table was not cleaned before eating. A bad restaurant that I do not recommend to anyone.

Delicious seafood pasta

By cristiane b |

Delicious restaurant! Very good pasta and wine! We ordered the Seafood Alfredo dish and a Chicken Alfredo with broccoli (there are two pasta dishes) for those who don't eat much of one dish and enough because beforehand they bring a giant platter of very delicious salad too! Prices for these dishes are around $26.00

Yum yum yum!

By tinylass |

We didn’t pre-book for when we arrived we were told there was about 15 minutes wait for a table, sat down in the bar then 30 seconds later our table was ready! You can order some of your food and your drinks on the tablet which is on your table and the waiter then fetches them for you. You can also see your bill on it. You get a large sharing salad and chunky bread sticks for free before your meal which were both delicious. Good choice of pastas among other things but I opted for ravioli carbonara which was amazing; so creamy and rich and I was stuffed after it! Restaurant a bit dated and I don’t think it has changed since our first visit in 2013 but the food was excellent and we will definitely be back!

Iconic American restaurant!

Iconic American restaurant that lived up to the expectation. Food was fantastic and staff were lovely. Deffo a go to for a good meal.

Never fails!!!

By AndyE224 |

Every single time I come to nyc I make sure to make my Olive Garden stop and this time it did not disappoint. Tried the bar for the first time and the service was great, quick and efficient. Food came quickly, was DELICIOUS and they even let me take some of the food home. I highly suggest this restaurant. The best in NYC in my opinion

Awesome!

By Morgane U |

The staff are lovely, very understanding with our very limited English accent.. The cuisine is exceptional, the quantities perfect and the prices largely reasonable. I recommend 100%

Great restaurant however paying for location.

By Aaron Trosh |

The Olive garden just behind the ever popular red steps of Times Square was the perfect place to find somewhere to eat through the hustle and bustle of the area. No wait time and was shown directly to our seats with a good atmosphere and good space to sit and enjoy some intimacy. Service was great and the food was very good but my only slight critique was the price, definitely the most expensive Olive garden I’ve been in but understand this is the price to pay for where you are.

Reasonable priced in the heart of Times Square

By soundsliketeejay |

Was staying near Times Square and from the outside this restaurant looked inviting. We booked for an early dinner and the place was quite full. Loved the breadsticks and salad whilst reviewing the menu - swift service and the food was great when it came out - there did seen to be a number of waiting staff but the table was slow to be cleared. Prices were reasonable, would definately recommend.

Average

By Kate P |

Service was good. Food itself was average. My daughter has coeliac disease & her gluten free meal was just a piece of meat & broccoli. Restaurant a bit run down. Wouldn’t recommend.

Terrible

By CuraTravel85 |

Food was terrible. It was not delicious at all. I would not recommend anyone to visit Olive Garden Times Square. Service was also horrible, as the server placed incorrect order. After having communicated this to the server no action was taken by his part to remedy the situation.

Not to come back

The waiter pressured us to tip even though the treatment and experience was not so good, the waiter was poorly faced. The tip took her but not for deserving. We went on recommendation.

Pleasantly surprised

By NatliaCM91 |

First time in the US and first time in Olive garden. I wasn’t expecting much but it was a very enjoyable and good value meal!! Wanted to try the breadsticks and they didn’t disappoint. The creamy mushroom pasta was great as was the salad. I happily go back in the area.

Upsetting

By Ir Voyager |

We arrived at a quiet enough time. Seated quickly, however, that’s where ‘quick’ ended. We waited 15 mins for our drinks, the host had to get them as our waitress was no where to be seen. Breadsticks and dips were nice, however we got the food (I understand this is fast Italian food) and it was not edible. The pasta was hard and the meat dry. When we complained we were told by the waitress that she’ll get ‘the nice manager’ who would be better to resolve our issues, I don’t understand what she was implying here. Very disappointed overall. The manager did take one of the meals off the bill but not the other, none of which was really touched.

Bedelen om service tip

Downstairs Cold ao go first floor. Happy with table and service but service cost uPON the expensive food 4 persons USD 130 + obligated TIP 20% OF USD 26 ON TOP and waitres was angry when we say no. She complaint she can nit pay her bill and cry so later we pay usd 26 plus expensive food. Never again nightmare

Good food and service

By Pierre V |

Nice restaurant, we didn’t have to queue long for a table, and staff were great. The food was good quality and good portions. We went on the recommendation of my daughter (with us), who read other reviews, we weren’t dissapointed.

Great service and atmosphere

By Sandybee73 |

Wasn’t sure what to expect as being from the UK all we hear are jokes about Olive Garden not being that great. Gave it a try as had lots of vegetarian options. Our server couldn’t have been more helpful. Explained the entire menu, even offered us a move to a table with a better view when one was vacated. Food was very tasty way better than you’d get in an Italian chain in the UK. As a family of four with two quite fussy eaters we were all impressed with food and service

Italiano bom

By Genezio filho |

An Italian meal with a very typical spice, great option for those with a running time, Prices vary, With $12 dishes

Extraordinary

By Bárbara B |

The place is very nice, has an incredible acoustic insulation.. we had lunch in peace in the middle of Times Square! The food is a thousand note.. you get entry, salad at will and some delicious bread. The peach Belline tea was very tasty too! But I came here to leave a compliment to attendant Jin Jin, extremely attentive, kind and smiling! She deserves 10 stars!

Ok

By Danielle R |

We ate here on a Tuesday evening and were seated straight away. Service was great but the food is just ok. The breadsticks and soup were the best part, the pasta is just average. My favourite dish has been removed from the menu since my last visit in 2019, so maybe it was just that I was disappointed in the pasta I chose. Either way, I think Olive Garden is a chain that is off our list from now on. As brits on holiday in the USA, we want to try other places and OG just doesn’t hit like some other chains.

Delicious food but …

By AndyE224 |

It took a while for them to send a server to my table. They would not send it until I requested it. First time ever this happened to me in this restaurant I’ve always loved. But I have to say the food did not disappoint

Excellent Food

By Robin_K |

I enjoy eating at Olive Garden due to its delicious bottomless salads. I was recently in Manhattan and there is a branch located in Times Square, very close to my hotel. Dinner was very nice and the food was plentiful and very tasty. The staff were attentive, though possibly hard to contact, though the restaurant is spaced out over more than one floor. The one thing that wasn't good was that, as a single diner, the seater assumed that I would be satisfied to sit at the bar to eat rather than take up a table that could accommodate 2-4 people. I was fine with this in principle but it became apparant that the front of the downstairs area was dominated by the door that was constantly opening and closing and had a strong draught swirling about. The temperature was uncomfortably cold for the duration of my visit. Only when I used the bathroom before leaving did I discover that there was a spacious upstairs to the premises and that these were toasty warm by comparison.

Good food great location

By kristen h |

Food was good, the place was pretty busy and had a slight cantina vibe but the service was excellent and it’s a great location. I had the aubergine parmigiana and my husband spaghetti meatballs. We both had cocktails which were good value but a bit weak.

Not a great experience and wouldn’t return.

By WiganTraveller |

The waiter was extremely abrupt and impolite and practically threw the food on the table. My son can’t eat cheese and his pasta arrived with cheese on it. I informed the waiter who argued with me and told me it categorically didn’t have cheese on it. I called him back again and handed him the plate and said my son couldn’t eat it, he still argued that it did not contain cheese and took it back to the kitchen under protest swearing it didn’t contain cheese. The manager returned and confirmed it had contained cheese and they would replace it, the manager was very apologetic and polite and receptive to feedback so no issue with him at all. The waiter then returned and made a point of saying it was the kitchen’s fault and not his. Aside from this the food wasn’t great - I had a Chicken Marsala, the sauce was congealed on top of it, my wife had chicken Alfredo - both meals arrived barely warm. There was no apology from the waiter whatsoever but he was sure to point out that he expected a gratuity which I reluctantly paid to avoid further drama for my family on what was a very uncomfortable experience. I was looking forward to a nice meal but sadly would not return.

Lovely meal

By Christy |

People kept recommending this to us for our visit, and we stumbled upon it after being drenched on an open top bus tour, in much need of warmth and comfort food! The service was efficient; waiter was attentive, the food was delicious and we held delightful views of Times Square. The only reason for 4 stars is because they really went to town on the garlic, which was overpowering throughout the while restaurant!

Olive Garden Times Square

By martinepongo |

We had experienced this chain during our trip to Pennsylvania on the Lancaster side. Extra Welcoming, delicious and plentiful food (minestrone of hell at will!). With this experience we returned to Olive Garden in Times Square. A little disappointed! meals, minestrone much less good and not at will. Too bad.

Good food and service

By David S |

Very good service. Unlimited free salad and bread sticks although I found the breadsticks to be far too salty. Large pasta portions with lots of chicken.

You might not prefer Olive Garden at home but you should on Times Square

By John H |

Come on now - you’re in NYC and you’re going to eat at an Olive Garden? On Broadway and 47th? Do you know how many authentic delis, Italian restaurants and Irish pubs are within a stone’s throw of that Olive Garden which is just across the street from TKTS? Yep I know! Been visiting TKTS for nearly 50 years. But I also know that you won’t get better food for the money than Olive Garden. I always have the endless salad and soup. I’m talking -$20. I’ll agree that you might not eat pasta at OG but you will not get a better salad and the soup - 4 varieties - is at least a B grade. Okay: B-. It’s good. Not as good as mom makes but mom’s not in NYC. Service is very good! Seating area is spacious - 3 levels of seating. Sadly they would not give me a table against a window. Those are all for 2+ people. Good Lord. It was 3 pm. The place wasn’t busy! But no, rules are rules. I wanted to eat and people watch. Instead I ate and wrote a review. I’m in NYC a couple times a year. Almost always stop at this OG.

Quiet dinner in the midst of Times Square

By David L |

On a multi-day bus tour, and after walking all day in New York, this was a nice quiet dinner location just off Times Square. Waiting time was not bad. The service was great. Food was standard Olive Garden.

Great view of Times Square

By ChrisdF6390SC |

My family enjoyed our dinner after a busy day in New York. Our kids were impressed that Olive Garden had an escalator inside. You get great views of Times Square while dining.

Disappointing

By kevin s |

We are a family from the UK and were so looking forward to eating here but left extremely disappointed, the restaurant is very outdated and could do with a refurb as for the food well I’m not sure where to start- if you fancy a plain tomato sauce with some mediocre pasta this is the place for you! Broccoli was just about raw and the medium well streak was still mooing lol Very expensive for what it was, I think maybe they are banking on the brand reputation knowing tourists will visit but wouldn’t waste my time.

Anniversary Trip

By Dominique |

My husband and I took a trip a couple of weeks ago to New York for our anniversary and Olive Garden was the first place we stopped at after we arrived via Amtrak. We got there right before the lunch rush and was seated right away. It was a Thursday so we caught the lunch menu. We got their spinach dip as an appetizer. For the lunch option we got their Zuppa Toscana Soup. I chose their Five Cheese Ziti Al Forno and my husband chose their Lasagna Classico. The food was great and the service was even better. It was a great start to our trip.

Wonderful service and food

By Ramsey S |

Hugely enjoyable meal which was great value. What made the experience so positive was the staff - polite, attentive and extremely friendly. Big shout out to Jon who looked after us so well - you are a huge credit to The Olive Garden brand

Péssimo atendimento!

By Marcia n |

We have a terrible experience today! Rude attendants literally kick us out of the restaurant. I was with my family, my mother 70 years old and my daughter 4 years old. We were just wearing our coats after dinner and he was screaming us out asking to leave the restaurant. Somente like him should never work with people

Overlooking T.Square

By Cid |

An Americanized option of Italian cuisine, with many options. It's far from being a tratoria. It's not an elegant place for a special meal, but it's special for being where it is. Many options of pasta, accompanied by proteins like shrimp and chicken. It has a delicious margarita, a tasty lula à doré, a varied salad, a Fettucini Alfredo with the option of aggregating proteins, proteins accompanied by vegetables and many other options of pasta, such as lasagna, ravioli and spaghetti. There was no room for dessert, as the portions are quite large. Waiter kind of confusing, though friendly and until now I do not know if my credit card was charged for the purchase value. I think it was like an 0800, since she accidentally poured the whole cup of an aperitif, which accompanied my Margarita, into my lap.

Massively disappointing!!

By Chrismalden93 |

Well, where do I start! What an awful restaurant, the initial greeting was terrible, like they didn’t want to be there. Shown to a table and waited for a waiter. Took our drinks order however, when I asked for a bottle or red he didn’t ask which, just assumed the cheapest. We ordered mozzarella appetizer with the bread sticks (which admittedly was very nice) then the tour of Italy.. Before we had finished appetizers, our soup came out and was plonked on the table, we then waited quite some time before entrees which, where simply disgusting. The lasagne has clearly been refrigerated and warm in the microwave.. the pasta was just about edible and the other bit was like eating a brick.. The service here was, simply below satisfactory, our waiter was too busy spending all his time with the large group of extremely loud people next to us, then another large group came in and they got his attention before we paid the bill, The bill had a suggested 18% service charge added on, I was definitely not paying that!! This restaurant is in the heart of Times Square, it should be thriving with people and the service should be impeccable! Service lessons required for this restaurant! Even on the way out, not one thank you from the 5 members of staff we had passed. Will not be recommending this restaurant!

Non-existent service.

By Sterling P |

I live in the neighborhood, and occasionally get a craving for the Chicken Alfredo and bread sticks. This Olive Garden has the same food as every other one I have visited in the US, which is good and consistent. No complaints here, I got what I expected and craved. The Times square version is somewhat more costly than those outside of the city, which is to be expected (my bill for a single entree and soda was $45). My issue is with the service. I was seated and after fifteen minutes, the waitress took my order. A few minutes later she came back with my salad drinks and breadsticks. That was the last I saw of her. Twenty minutes later my entree was delivered, by another waiter. After I finished eating (no refills on drinks, no "neverending" salad or breadsticks), I sat for an additional twenty minutes and finally went up to the host stand to pay my bill. They flagged down a waiter (not mine) and had me follow him to the server stand, so I could be rung up. I don't believe that my waitress was overworked, as it was early on a Sunday and the restaurant's upper level was only about 1/3rd filled. Living in NYC I am used to rude waitstaff, overworked waitstaff and amazingly talented and hardworking waitstaff (which is the norm). I think this is the first time I have experienced completely disappearing waitstaff. Based upon this experience, I would not recommend this location. New York City and the Times Square area have too many other amazing places to eat.

Would never come back here

By Sander B |

Location is great, but would not recommend to eat here. Food is very bad, very greasy and restaurant is not very clean.

Good food poor customer service

By Nasha T |

The Olive Garden at 505 Gateway Dr. Brooklyn was not what I expected when it comes to customer service however the food was great after sitting for 30 minutes then have our order taken. But will still recommend.

Good Brunch

By xue g |

I had a wonderful experience at Oliver Garden located at 505 Gate Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11239. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I want to especially mention our server, John, who was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit. He made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations from the menu. His friendly attitude and excellent service truly made our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Oliver Garden and will definitely be coming back!

Excellent service and food. Great choice of dishes, food came quick, hot and tasty. Visited twice in four days. Loved the ice teas that were bottomless.

AVOID AT ALL COST

By Gurdeep G |

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST We walked into the restaurant and were seated next to window. The receptionist that took us to our table just left 4 sets of forks and knives wrapped in black napkins in the middle of the table with 4 menus. The table was absolutely filthy and looked as it had not seen a cleaning cloth for some time with crumbs from the previous diners clearly visible. The waitress was extremely rude. We decided to continue to order our food and drinks. The first dishes to arrive were two soups, a salad and bread sticks. This was the final straw leading us to speak to the manager and walk out. The soup had a human hair clearly hanging on the side of the dish. Surprisingly, the waitress failed to notice it befire putting the soup in front of us. (photo attached). As we were walking out, the manager approached and we explained the situation to her. She did offer a free meal for all of us but we politely declined. So to sum up, ABSOLUTELY FILTHY, EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF AND ZERO FOOD HYGIENE.

Our lunch in the Last day at NYC

By Shummy45 |

This restaurant was recommended by our friends who live in San Francisco today we had time to spare before heading the airport so we went to Olive Garden for a casual lunch. Not much to say about the atmosphere. The food tasted the average, we ordered veg (egg plant) spaghetti with salad and soup. The food arrived very fast it seemed like it was already made and was sitting in a warmer. Soup tasted like it was from a can, the only fresh thing was salad and bread! I can’t comment much more about the food because may be the meat dishes are better than vegetarians. But I can tell you that Not all the staff were courteous, however the young lady who served was very professional and helpful, so Thanks Zykia

I'm through with Olive Garden!

By Bevmcmillen |

I ordered the soup and salad all you can eat. I started off with the vegetable soup and took one bit it had beans and pasta and a piece of zucchini. I called the waitress over to exchange it for the Zuppa Tuscana soup. It was all both. No sausage, potatoes, just skins of potatoes. No bacon, and one small piece of kale. That is the last time I will be going to Olive Garden. That is not soup! That was a bowl of broth! It had butter floating on top.

Great service

By Tanya D |

The restaurant was quite busy but that did not have any effect on the service and the quality of the food. Great view from the second floor. No wifi access though from second floor.

Very average all round

By Steve D |

We have visited Olive Garden restaurants in US many times over the years. Unfortunately the visit to the restaurant in Times Square was underwhelming! The table service was good, although we weren’t asked if we wanted more bread and salad as part of the never ending pledge. The food was ok, but Lasagne disappointed slightly. The restaurant looked dated and tired and more like a canteen rather than an Italian restaurant. I hope there are plans to make improvements at this restaurant, and also hope the chain hasn’t slid downhill at other places.

Awful chain restaurant, do yourself a favour and search for a better option.

By Chris S |

Absolutely awful chain restaurant, zero atmosphere, cold, boring and badly cooked food. Took a gamble and it backfired, never again, always look for a privately owned, non-chain restaurant.

Worth everyone of the five stars

By Northants Travelling Man |

Visited with friends after a recommendation- 7 in the group and everyone enjoyed their food - great sharing salad bowl and plenty of bread , pasta dishes were very good as was the steak- not the cheapest but quality and service made up for that - definitely worth a visit

Good Resturant

By Daniel J |

The food taste well, and there were great service at this place. Nice and clean. Kind and helpful staff.

false advertisement.

By jason |

i went here on a trip to inspect the area before my daughters birthday party the next day. i saw that the restaurant is called olive garden, and my daughter loves olives. whenever i got there, i initially wanted to see the olive garden it had been named after.. but i didn't see one. i assume it was something they'd show if i asked, so i walked in. the waitress was nice, she sat me down and gave me my menu. whenever i ordered, i asked "can i see your olive garden?" in which she laughed and said they don't have one. i am disgusted and revolted by the false advertisement. i cannot believe it. for my dinner, i ordered fettuccine alfredo and decided to push what i had previously asked, and asked for olives from their garden. she rolled her eyes at me. in conclusion, if you love the truth and hate being lied to.. this location is not for you.

Lovely Lunch

By Peter F |

We tried this restaurant after seeing the the very large light signs in Times Square, it took us a while to find the way in, it was up an escalator. It has a very large seating area which is deceptive from outside. We were shown to our table and introduced to our server Travis U he was were friendly and helpful. we opted for their lunch time menu, I had the chicken Parmegiano and my wife had Shrimp scampi the food was excellent and good portion size for lunch. the lunch deal came with a soup or a salad and warm bread. Great value for money.

Great food with a great view of Times Square

By Raquel Reis |

The Olive Garden in New York offers great value for money with good-quality food. The Shrimp Alfredo was excellent, with generous portions and outstanding service. Plus, the location is fantastic, with a great view of Times Square!

As always one of my favorite places to eat in USA

By Ariel |

It eats well and is very economical. Don't go eating burgers, in this restaurant you eat a lot better at the same price, I guarantee.

Mediocre food in a prime position

By Scarlettwoman001 |

This is a 5/10 restaurant. Prime location awful decor and mediocre food. It smells of Parmesan throughout. It has dark lifeless decor. The food is c3 pasta at a min of $17.50 a go for spaghetti with aplain tomato sauce. House wine $25.50 which wasn’t bad. The view was great but they need to sort out the queuing system- you can save you place in the queue online but can’t book. The highlight was Abdul our server - a lovely man

Over salted food and filthy restroom

By Michelle R |

Food was extremely over salted and fresh garlic included in the salad - despite informing server no garlic! Ladies restroom was absolutely filthy with toilet paper strewn all over the floor - obviously not checked regularly. Dirty tables not cleared or cleaned.

Not enthusiastic

By 08ds |

Well, where to start.. 1. Service: The waiter was short and short, unmotivated and unfriendly. Zb Ordered my husband the wrong meat with his fettucine Alfredo and then also expressed dissatisfaction that we had asked to bring the right one. When the bill came, we decided not to leave a big tip, but he insisted that we give him more! But I have to say that only he was like that. Other staff we encountered were friendly. 2. The food: Bread comes for free to the table - completely salted and salad. We both had the fetuccine once with chicken, once with shrimp. It was nothing special, so I don't understand the hype.

Behind on the times

I went to the Olive Garden with my vegetarian mother for dinner hoping to have a margarita pizza. Not only was this not an option on the menu but there was a very small selection of vegetarian meals which is surprising given how many people live a vegetarian lifestyle. Disappointing that a restaurant in Times Square couldn’t provide a simple vegetarian dish.

Satisfied with experience

just happened to see the sign due to building construction obstructing it,,, we reviewed the menu first and it looked good so we tried it and it did not fail us, The food was delicious and the service was great. Overall we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere with the many options.

Too salty

By magpiemickMelbourne |

My daughter was desperate to try this restaurant for its breadsticks. We ordered those as well as some fried mozzarella bites. I found both of these starters to be very salty although not completely inedible. For main I had the chicken parm which came with spaghetti marinara on the side. The chicken was so dry and ropey it was inedible. The marinara sauce was very acidic and unappetising. I didn't finish my main. My daughter liked her chicken alfredo but did say she found all the food overly salty. I wouldnt come back to this restaurant especially as it was quite pricey.

Good overtaking in the times square

The restaurant is huge, right in the heart of times Square. The wait was short and the first time we went the service was great. Already on the second left to desire, we were allocated on the ground floor under a freezing and noisy air. We asked to change for a table on the upper floor and got it all right. The food is full and very well made. They serve bread and salad. Drinks are very good. It's worth it, good food and fair price.

Ok food on Times Square

By nickss1 |

We stopped by here for evening meal while staying in the city. The entrance is on Times Square, but restaurant is up some escalators. The staff were ok at entrance; the server was great. I opted for chicken margarita; nice chicken. It came with broccoli; a lot of broccoli. It was ok, but that was it. All mains come with unlimited salad and breadsticks, which were both very tasty.
