Will be my HQ on my next visit to New York

By Aquaeduardo |

If you like your Oysters with full blooded noise de funk, then this is the place for you. Oysters go down perfectly well with Graham Central Station, Eddie Kendricks, and lets not forget Herbie Hancock. We had a pit stop during happy hour, baby Oysters 1$ each, minimum order 6, great offer if you ask me. A couple of beers and a glass of wine and we had to move, not through choice as we had a prior arrangement. This bar is most definitely worth a visit, I would like to see it later in the evening, I can only imagine the place rockin'. Don't miss it.

Excellent Food & Service

A very nice restaurant with great atmosphere, excellent food (try the chicken wings and the avocado!), very good attentive service and very reasonable prices. A must for any lover of Korean food.

A Korean Town Must

A delightful little Korean Restaurant Beef skewer Squid fries ( loves the name and Bulgogi All items were beautifully presented and delicious.

Excellent

By John S |

We came in for drinks two nights ago and it looked so good we had to come back the next day. The only problem was that we were very early and in a rush to get in and out to make the theater. No problem! The wait staff took great care of us. The chicken, golbi, salad, skewers (including one on the house) were all excellent, fast, and well presented. The restaurant decor is also spot on. For a walk in for cocktails this was a great find for us.

Just perfect

By Grebss |

Was there with friends. The food was just amazing, the food presentation was great and very tasty. The service was impressive and they were very attentive to your needs. The restaurant manager Yura was so amazing, she always checked on us to make sure everything was perfect.

Amazing, interesting, delicious & spicy

By James B |

Korean gastropub - this is a fast growing phrase in the NY gourmet lexicon. I have seen these things pop-up all over K-Town. Osamil is amazing. I would call it new world Korean Tapas. We had a great Korean take on steak tartare with bright red spices, pickled radish and quail egg - phenomenal! We also had a braised pork shank, this was a whole braised shank serbved with pickles, spices, sauces and greens to make 'lettuce wraps'. The meat melted off the bone and in your mouth, The great food and service combined with top quality Soju made for one of the memorable meals of the year!

Dinner with friends

Nice food and beer. We had the fried whole chicken and the fried Rice with beef, more than enough for 4 people (girls) .

Great food

Excellent food. One of the best Korean food I have had. Creative and fun presentation. The wait staff was nice but a bit rushed. It’s a popular place

Great Food In a Fun Restaurant

By lloyd s |

Really cool little spot for drinks, dinner or both. Cocktails were amazing. A little different spin on classic drinks. Be sure to enjoy a few. As far as the food- delicious. Really big portions, many are great to share. Ordered The Whole fried chicken. Finger lickin good! Make this a go to place when in the neighborhood

Pretty bland overall

By Melanie T |

It's been four years since my first visit and this time, I tried the food. It's still gonna be 3 stars from me. Our party of 5 had ressos for a Friday night at 7 pm. We all arrived around the same time just before 7 and they were able to seat us. We were seated at a round table. It wasn't squished but it wasn't spacious either so I wouldn't recommend coming with more people than that. For drinks, I had the Seoul-Mate (Hwayo 41, Grey Goose Strawberry & lemongrass essence, Martini & Rossi Fiero L’Aperitivo, Rockey’s botanical liqueur, grapefruit Oleo-saccharum, lemon). At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it because it had this cinnamon (or nutmeg?) aftertaste, but it grew on me. For food, we ordered a bunch of things to share. Truffle fries (potato, smoked pimento, truffle oil, jalapeño ash mayo dip) - think McDonald's fries but gourmet. The truffle oil was very nice Squid fries (squid, soy wasabi mayo dip & vinegar gochujang dip) - the squid fries were okay but the soy wasabi mayo was perfect. The wasabi is just the right amount, not too overpowering. Beef tartare (hand-cut prime beef, Korean pear, quail egg, gochujang rémoulade, pine nut) - this was a very small portion and pretty bland, and a bit chewy Clam tang (cherry stone, manila, garlic, jalapeño, bonito) - the broth was soothing for a cold night but the clams were chewy Seafood Rosé Tokbokki (rice cake, Hollander & de Köning mussel, shrimp, fish cake, bird’s eye chili, fried mozzarella, micro arugula, basil oil, tomato-cream sauce) - I did not care for this one. It felt like it was trying too hard to be a Korean/Italian fusion, especially with the rice balls. The rice cake itself just tasted like they threw tomato sauce and mozzarella onto some tteokbokki Osamil kimchi fried rice with added hanger steak (house-made kimchi, Nueske bacon, egg & garlic, and beef crunch) - nothing you can’t make yourself at home Uni bibimbap (chef selected uni, quinoa, wasabi tobiko, rice, house-made kimchi, soy pickled radish & dressing, perilla, shallot, seaweed purée, frisée) - the quinoa was interesting. After mixing, you can’t really taste the uni Overall, everything was kind of bland. I think the flavor profile was there but they just needed some salt or MSG to really pump it up. My favorite dish was the fries. Think of this place as a higher end Korean gastropub. With so many other (and better options with cheaper prices in K-Town), I don't see myself coming back for a third visit.

Visit - you will not be disappointed

Cool Korean restaurant with supertasty food. Share different meals between you to get to taste the different flavours. Highly Recommended !

Amazing Korean twist

By Xav080578 |

I have been in this restaurant 3 times and have been constantly amazed by what was served. Tonight I got 2 skewers: the trumpet mushroom and the spicy pork. Both amazing. Then the lamb, perfectly cooked. For the quality of the food, prices are ok. The service is friendly and fast. I’ll definitely go back again.

Wow! Such an amazing experience

By Tomer_where_to_next |

The food and drinks were SO GOOD and delicious, I can't wait to go back there. We went there 2 couples, and 2 kids (ages 9 and 6) for dinner and had the most amazing time. We got 3 entrees so we all shared them, and 2 appetizers which were all so good. Also, because the different cocktails we got were amazing - we all sipped from each other and they were all great. I'll definitely go back there!

Perfect for a cold night

By USCKaboom |

Osamil was a great spot for a double date on a cold night. While not light, it was all quite good, though heavy on sauces. Homey vibe that was quite inviting.

A true hidden gem

By Chuckles |

This unassuming Korean style pub has something for everyone. While we saw tables filled with pub style food (notably french fries), most dined on unique Korean preparations. We started with an oyster and chive pancake. Unlike most Korean pancakes that are mostly the flour mixture. this was filled with julienne vegetables with oysters, with only enough starch to hold it together, We then shared the bouillabaisse. We were told it was large enough to share, and it was. Filled with large and small clams, large and small shrimp, squid, mussels, scallops and fish, with a lobster claw and partial to boot, the lobster stock permeated the seafood to create an astounding flavor combination. The service was prompt and efficient, and we were made to feel welcome. We will return to try many of the of the offerings that we missed. While the voices of the diners carried, there was the absence of loud music, so that the ambiance was good.

Enjoyed the bar

By oakwoodfencing |

This Bar / Restaurant was close to the hotel we stayed in and we stopped here on our way back to our hotel most nights as our hotel had laughable bar prices. The food looked good and they were busy, but we didn’t try it. The staff were very friendly, especially Sally who is a natural and made the experience fun. Thank you. We will return when we come back.

Great! Amazing! LOUD ! Spicy!

By Victor M |

Visited at late evening. The place was crowded and very loud. People literally shouted at the tables. The whole atmosphere was very interesting. We had at first a table with the air conditioner blowing us away from the seats. We complained and were immediately replaced to a better place. Ordered a dish to share. Was amazingly tasty. Very spicy. The feeling was that you can't stop despite you feel like a dragon shooting fire out of your mouth. The beers were exceptionally tasty. Would definitely return! A recommended experience in the Korean area in NYC. Unforgettable .

Very tasty

By GypsyTraveller94 |

They sat us right away at 7 on a Saturday. Super tasty food- we had squid fries and fried chicken for two. So much food, we brought some home. Cocktail was so cute in a small bathtub. Recommend

Very good points but overly arrogant

By Ian M |

A good impression initially, a Korean clearly full of locals, nice atmosphere, busy and bustling but pleasant. Good drinks and generally excellent food except for the deep fried chicken which could have come from Colonel Sanders, dry as a bone. On challenging this we were told this was the way people have it in New York. We may have all had English accents but one of us lived in New York for many years. They knock it off the ball but we won’t be returning because of the patronising attitude of the staff. Prices rather more than suggested on Open Table, not a problem for us but they should be more accurate.

Interesting Dishes, Lively Atmosphere

By rebelee |

Was fun to try new food in a lively atmosphere. We had the Johnson Tang (Korean stew, enough food for at least two), Kimchi Fried Rice, Wings and Squid Fries. All was excellent.

Great local find

By TXBikerGuy |

In the sea of options that is Koreatown, drop down a block off of 32nd and try Osamil. You have to know where it is, or know that the simple neon "Bar" sign is it. Only a tiny bit of lettering on the door confirms it until you go inside. Friendly greetings from the bartender met everyone who entered while I was there. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the beef tartare with quail egg and their fantastic chicken wings. Realized I was there during happy hour so ordered 6 oysters as well. Enjoyed everything. The cocktail menu is strong, but they also make bespoke drinks. I gave the bartender some parameters of what I like and he came up with a fantastic drink he called the K-Street Empire. If Ross is working the bar, asking him for one. I'm hoping all of us who rate this place so highly don't end up ruining it by making it more crowded. But, also want them to remain successful so their here each time I visit the city. So...check them out!

Just bloody brilliant

Best Korean food worldwide and I have had quite a bit Staff were faultless in everyway Please seek this place out you will not be disappointed

Only the dollar oysters are worth it during hh

By Melanie T |

Osamil has been on my list of dollar oyster happy hours to try for a while. BF and I came one early Friday afternoon since we both had half days for MDW. Unfortunately, they don’t open until 5 so we went and grabbed a drink next door until they opened. We ordered 2 dozen of the oysters and two of their cocktails. I had the Osamil cocktail (ginseng infused Belvedere vodka prosecco, ginger / IPA syrup, fresh lime juice, fresh grapefruit juice). I can’t remember what he ordered but neither of us really liked the cocktails. It was a bit too fruity for us. Also, their “happy hour” price for cocktails were $12. Seems more like regular hour to me. The oysters were great though! Their dinner menu didn’t really appeal to us (and seemed pretty pricey for what we thought was Korean food we can get anywhere else) so we skipped the entrees. While we did enjoy the oysters, I’m not sure if it’s enough to make us come back (since we didn’t really like the cocktails either), especially with all the other dollar oyster places in the city.

Tasty Food

By Charles M |

Always looking for a good midtown restaurant/bar to go to before events at Madison Square Garden. The area seems generally devoid of them. We found this place a gave it a try. The service was good, the food was excellent and it was a very good experience. I would recommend it.

Too long and way to review

By Abduzer |

Nice restaurant with a beautiful interior. The staff is friendly. The service for the dishes was too long and the dish I took was unfortunately tasteless and bland with a small amount for the Award. After clearing our table, the staff brought us the bill directly without being asked as if they wanted us to leave quickly.

$1 oysters, street food fare

By serena c |

Yup, another night of oysters and were they plump; well relative to what we had the night before! We ordered garlic soya wings, braised ribs and Johnson tang. Everything was yummy but note that the tang uses peanut butter oil. It was no mentioned on the menu so we found out the hard way. My son is allergic and had a reaction shortly after he had a bowl of the tang which he loves. That was basically the end of his evening. I would recommend Osamil have a note indicating the use of peanuts. Btw, busy bar scene so if you wish for a quieter table, ask for one near the kitchen.

Fab place

By Geriflox |

Popped in here almost 2 weeks ago on my own for a bite to eat and a drink while I waited for a friend to arrive from the airport. The hostess sat me at the bar.I had burger and fries and a couple of drinks. It was around 9pm there but 2am where I'm from. The food was delicious, the drinks were fabulous and the service was excellent. That's not to mention the atmosphere and dynamic of the place. It was so good that myself and my friend went back twice more during the week.Special thanks to the waitress wearing Converse, who had her own special bottle opener - she happened to serve us each time.A really lovely young lady and a credit to the restaurant.Great spot and will definitely be back next time I'm in NYC.

Fusion Korean Food

By steinjo |

We ended up here in search of a nice restaurant. Very nice reception. The food was Korean based fusion cuisine. We squid fryes as a starter. Super tasty with 2 sauces! Then we had the kimtchi burger once - wow I've eaten a lot of very good burgers. This one was the best burger ever in terms of the composition, the meat, the fries and the Koranic touch! My daughter had the bulgogi (marinated beef and king oyster mushrooms and a green onion salad). Extremely good! Very nice service. We can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes very good fusion cuisine. The ambience is very cozy 10 out of 10 points!

Chef Taste Korean Food

By Bill F |

While visiting NYC, we dined at Osamil and we’re wowed by the delicious entrees we selected: Korean market fried chicken, pot shank, and uni bibimbap. The presentation of the dishes were gourmet decorative. The pork shank was juicy and tender and the chicken was crispy outside, and soft and tender inside. Our drink compliments were chamisul grapefruit soju, KSD Makgeolli rice wine, Osamil cocktail, and da green monstah. We’ll be back when in New York again.

Fantastic place

By CCC |

Landed on this restaurant by chance and went twice for dinner as food was amazing! Ambience, service and wine where all spot on. Would highly recomend this little gem.

Solid Food & Fast Service

By Daniel K |

Went here with a friend to get dinner at the bar. The service was friendly and fast. We ordered skewers, rose tteokbokki, and the lamb kalbi. The beef kalbi skewer was meh, but everything else was really tasty. My favorite was the scallop skewer and the rose rice cake with seafood. Will come back here for a date 👀

Beautiful bar, good food, that's it.

By ezellam |

My husband and I visited NYC a week before Christmas to get some Christmas spirit, being that it was 70s degrees in the South. We stayed at the Arlo Nomad right down the street from Osamil, so we stopped in for a quick bite one evening before heading out to shop. I had a few beers, I can't remember what my husband had, but I enjoyed the fried oyster very much. The bar and restaurant were both pretty empty. We wondered why on such a busy holiday night. My husband noticed the lobster on the menu, and since we didn't have time at the moment, asked when was closing time. He very much wanted to try it, and we were leaving town the next day. The gentleman at the bar told us exactly what time to be back to be sure that we could order the lobster. We avoided eating anywhere else all evening and returned after shopping, still to a pretty empty atmosphere, a little earlier than the time we were told. We were greeted kindly by the same bartender and he went back to place our order. He came right back and told us that they would not be able to make us the lobster. We asked about getting the fried oysters again instead, since that was a quick appetizer plate and it was still not the cut off time he had told us earlier. He went again and asked the young lady near the kitchen, and again returned with a no. Good food, but not sure we'd return. We went to the bar at our hotel Arlo and very much enjoyed the squid ink pappardelle pasta, pepperoni pickled pepper honey pizza, and biriyani rice balls there from Massoni restaurant instead.

Great cocktails!

By darcytdog |

We visited the “Upstairs” portion of this business. Not the same as the main restaurant but sister business. Very quiet, dark, and beautiful. Excellent mixology, all cocktails were delicious. The charcuterie board was rather small and somewhat “commercial “ feeling in its presentation but tasty. Service was excellent. Reservations highly recommended.

Wow!! Great food!

By Julia N |

Came here for a cousins get together. We ordered a lot of food and enjoyed all of it. I don’t usually eat spicy so I basically stuck with the non spicy options. Everything was delicious! The soy sauce wings were my favorite as well as the pork dish. Would definitely come back.

Outstanding FOOD

By Grebss |

Had dinner on a Friday night and Osamil didnt desapoint for sure. The atmosphere was great and it was busy in the restaurant and bar giving a great vibe. The best part was the food, the beef tartare and the was just outstanding. I will definitely go back to this Korean restaurant with a twist. Lets not forget the service. The employees would always check on us to make sure everything was perfect.

Korean town Gastropub With Plenty of Heart and Great Food

By El Turista John |

This modern Korean Gastropub in midtown Manhattan serves up tasty morsels, tapas style treats, full course dishes, and all were SUPER tasty. The skewered fish and meats were excellent, but the spicy wings were our favorite. We were so impressed with dinner at Osamil that we came back after a Broadway show for another round of drinks and wings. The service was friendly, attentive and professional. Whether it’s cocktails or mocktails, the 2023 NYC Best Cocktails bar at Osamil is peerless. John Carpo’s liquid creations are unique, inventive and tasty—-his dedication to his craft is evident in the drinks he creates. Bravo!! A DEFINITE MUST FOODIE DESTINATION

Beautiful bar, amazing staff, my favorite restaurant in Koreatown!

By jlin113 |

Osamil nails it by delivery quality food and service in a beautiful yet unpretentious setting. It's away from the craziness of 32nd Street which I like. The crowd is a mix of business folks from the surrounding area and tourists from neighboring hotels. The bartenders know their stuff!!! All the drinks go really well with the food -- get the tuna tartar, honey butter chips and the pork shank!

Tasty, Modern Korean Food in Midtown NYC

By FarmBoyYorkshire |

Very tasty modern Korean food... and very popular. We were a walk in group and only got a table because of a no show... just lucky with out timing really - would recommend booking. It was full which added to lively atmosphere, but not overly loud/ crowded. The food was lovely as were the cocktails/ mocktails ... particularly found the Osamil Kimchi Fried Rice really tasty as was the 'Good Drank' mocktail Staff were friendly and around when needed... overall a lovely experience

Elevated Korean gastropub

By DW |

The atmosphere was great, food was amazing (great flavor and a wide variety of elevated street food and larger dishes) and the drinks are a reason to come on their own.

Great Bar Great Service

By 1000islandsdude |

This is a great little mid town restaurant and bar. Stopped in for a drink, didn't have to ask for water with my martini, it came without asking. Great vibe great oysters for happy hour. I ordered a martini and that's exactly what I got, and I got it my way, classic, no arty stuff. Great vibe.

Great food, nice environment

By Dan11132 |

Had Christmas dinner there with my family. Cuisines are very nice, and they have a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. Really love the interior design and environment.

Fresh oysters

By Goombagirl1 |

My husband & I noticed Osamil as we were walking along 31st st to Penn station. This Korean restaurant has a small wooden "I ❤oysters" sign out front that we noticed. We also noticed they have $1 oysters for happy hour from 4-7 & also all day on Mondays. So we went back on Monday & enjoyed 2 dozen blue point oysters. They were delicious. The oysters come with Korean flavored sauces rather than traditional American sauces but they were good. The restaurant had a steady flow of people. They have a creative drink menu as well. We did not have dinner but I read several reviewers that spoke highly of the rest of their menu. The staff were nice & friendly. I would recommend - especially for the oysters!

nothing disappointed

By michael_dimaggio25 |

although we were a small group, we made up for our numbers in trying as many items as our stomachs could take (and then some). do come from the pork shank (incredible) and stay for the bibimpap (sea urchin? wow!).

Great place, good food excellent service

By AMO |

Definitely a great place to visit and enjoy with friends. The food experience was amazing. Try the pork shank is great. The squid was superb.

Modern mind blowing Korean Cuisine

By TravelingHanbokGirl |

This restaurant never disappointed me. They have weekly specials not to miss. Their Korean market fried chicken is so crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside that it is to die for. Their beef tartare is on another label. The pork shank it’s better to share, very large portion but succulent. Love their wings specially the Soy & Garlic. Another good item to try is the Uni Bibimbap. They used to have grilled avocado with crab on their menu, no longer available but if they offer it again definitely is a must to try.

A great place to have fusion Korean food with good ambiance

By Bao Duong |

The food is super delicious, drinks are also great. Our waiter was so professional and friendly. He recommended food and had a good conversation with us.

Amazing. Comfortably. Crowded without the feeling.

By The Line |

This place is totally worth the trip. It's a really good place where locals go. The drinks are one of the kind. The food... I don't know where to start... I tried the most. All amazing. One special I would like to point out... the chips with salmon. What is up with that? How can that be? I assure you I had a different picture at mind. Out of all it is the dish to try. Picture attached. Really friendly and not too noisy.

Brunch

OUTSTANDING BAR!!!!!

By CheshireColumbus |

Luckily for me, this Bar was directly opposite our hotel and what a Bar! We called in one afternoon after after a long shopping afternoon for some cocktails and was not disappointed. The bar-man was excellent with an extensive knowledge of the house drinks including a rare $50 a shot tequila which I am told is spectacular. (the bottle is unreal) The inside and outside of the Bar is well on trend, the feel of the bar is fantastic with some savvy design decisions made around the look of the place. This is easily one of NYC best hidden bars so go out of your way to visit here! Well priced drinks around $13 a cocktail, the food looked brilliant but we never had chance to eat here (but will next year when we return)

Just amazing!

By Pootle69 |

This is going to be a simple review, do yourselves a favour and go to this pub and enjoy some amazing food and cocktails which will leave you smiling for the rest of the day!

Ah-Ma-Zing

By Pattypattypatty75 |

It has been one of the best experiences at a Korean Restaurant. The place is small yet cozy, the ambience can get loud but it makes it fun and different. The cocktail selection was good, I ordered the KTown drink and it did not disappoint. I started with their famous Cured Shrimp and I was in heaven. Shrimp soy cured for 4 days with capelin roe, uní and quinoa WHAT?? I could have eaten a dozen of them. Fresh, flavorful, great texture. It was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. As my entree I ordered the Uní Bibimbap. On the menu, it indicates that this is a shareable plate ummmm not for me. I ate the whole thing. Unless you are ordering several dishes for the table and you know you are just going to eat a little bit of everything then yes....other than that this is a large portion for ONE 😋. The quinoa mixed with the spicy kimchi, Kim purée, wasabi greens, perilla, main uni and winter soy sauce make this one of the best bibimbap dishes I have EVER HAD. Just go and order one, maybe two (one to go cause you will be craving for more later) My tablemates ordered the grilled eggplant and short rib kabobs there were on the small side but equally delicious. The half fried chicken - now this chicken was the business!! Like seriously it was crispy; well seasoned and not oily at all! It came with creamy cole slaw on the smoky side.

Honey butter chips

By davidfinch86 |

Came here as a small group, very busy but quickly seated without a reservation. Had to get a second order of the addictive honey butter chips, not recommended if you're dieting. If I were back in this area I'd find it hard to pick anywhere else over Osamil

Amazing and awakes every tastebud

By Chrizthebiz |

This is a must! A modern style korean restaurant with lots of creativity and unexpected combinations of ingredients! The octopus, the pork shank and the korean fried chicken was amazing to share with friends! Love the ssamjang and sesamsoygarlic sauces!! My chemistry with one of the male waiters could have been better haha!

great neighborhood place

By Mlleron |

Been here a few times as it is literally around the corner. Really great happy hour with daily specials and $1 oysters. Stylish place and great bartenders. It is classier and has better food than the local Irish places. It is cheaper as well. Great place

Great place for happy hour

By Priyal P |

Nice, cosy restaurant for happy hour in the city. Chicken wings are truffle fries are a winner! Although they did serve a Moscow mule in a regular class.

Exciting place full of energy and creativity

By Than P |

A great Korean pub, with inventive dishes, some in tapas portions (which are sufficient, by US size ...), with a lively atmosphere in the back of Korea Town. Good vibes, enthusiastic crowd fueled by nice cocktails.

Fantastic food

By 990laura |

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant and made a reservation. It was absolutely fabulous - we went there twice during our stay! Both times the service was very nice and helpful (including us a more spacious table when it was only two of us just for comfort). I think the highlight was the baby octopus (but I have to admit that I asked for less spicy which was great!). Also, their cocktails were awesome! Highly recommend the place!

Worst Service Ever

By Issa C |

We were immediately kicked out of the upstairs bar because the waitress didn’t want to believe we were customers since we were still looking around the bar for our friends. Tried to reason out that we were paying customers but waitress kept cutting us off. Didn’t get to meet with friends and just rescheduled another night. Hostile environment.

Great find-will be back

By Capt_McCrea |

Stopped for the happy hour. Dollar oysters, kronenbourgs cheap, great Sweet potato fries, grilled skewers and attentive service. Can't ask for much more than that.

$1 happy hour oysters, great food and service

By notperfectalas2 |

We came for the happy hour oysters, blue points for $1 each and stayed for the food, twice. Really excellent fresh oysters with two sauces, a mignonette with wasabi, and a cocktail sauce with a chili korean twist. First time, we had their Daenjang cured hudson valley foie gras, with pomegranate reduction and their Osamil Burger 10oz short rib burger with caramelized onion, kimchi puree, bacon, cheddar, and smoked pimento french fries. Both were excellent. I am a burger hound and the short rib burger was a real treat at only $18. Next day we were back for more happy hour oysters, accompanied with their Grilled Bulgogi, marinated prime fatty beef, ssamjang glaze, cremini, scallion salad, and their Pork Galbi (marinated pork ribs, horseradish zests, pistachio, scallion salad). Both were really really excellent and really reasonably priced at less than $20 per plate. This place is highly recommended. Really great and friendly service too. Can't miss.

Best meal we had in New York

By Rich |

We stayed at the nearby Hyatt in Korea Town, and this place came up with good ratings so we popped over. Very glad we went! Inventive and gorgeous food, excellent service and a cool atmosphere. And by New York standards, not too pricey either. Highly recommended.

Disappointed

By Lynne M |

Not value for money, very little food, left the restaurant hungry. Staff very challenging when leaving a tip under 20% , we actually required and needed minimal service due to our order.

Best place so far

By Orcus |

We have been in NYC for a couple of days now, been eating at a lot of places, but this has been the most pleasant surprise. Great food, the braissed half rib is a must and oysters for 1$(!). Looking forward to come back!

It offered a romantic dinner drink and meal!

By Skibumdude |

This is an intimate bar that simply says “Bar” on the outside. It’s a cozy, dimly lighted place that calls a tired traveler from the Wolcott hotel across the street. The menu is Korean, fitting the neighborhood (K-Town is one street away). The place was clean, and pleasant. We visited the second week in December, meaning the music was Seasonal the interior was decorated for the holidays. We enjoyed our beer and Korean fried chicken. We’d comeback to this restaurant and would recommend it to our best friends without hesitation!!

Terrific Korean Barbeque without the work

By GMBG |

Had a fantastic meal of small and large dishes, all shared at Osamil. The food was well prepared, appropriately spiced and competently served. We got there at happy hour and their draft beers were exceedingly well priced. Great vibe, nice decor. I will come back here again, next time I am near Madison Square Garden. That's a promise.

WOW!! Got to love this place!

By TomOnTravel |

Osamil is so good. If I were in NYC more often I would be tempted to keep this a secret! Buck-a-shuck oysters, great cocktails, oyster pancake, double fried wings - just awesome! I am in food heaven. This is my favorite place in town, now! Service is super friendly, the food is fresh and tastes perfect! Parking on 31st is a bit of a trouble. With cocktails that good, you better walk anyway.

Nice atmosphere, good food

By rocou |

Found the place a bit by chance. Packed on a Wednesday night, half bar, half restaurant. Half the clientele is Korean. It's a noisy place, but it's got a good mood to it, food is amazing, service is attentive but adjusted to our pace - we did not feel pressure. Highly recommended, for drinks, drinks with some food, or a meal - as long as you don't mind the noise level.
