Loved the place FANTASTIC staff treated us amazingly!!! Thumbs up allll the way! A must go if you’re in NYC!! Food was excellent!!!

Don was a great server and the support staff was as well. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which were quite tasty. I'll look forward to dining there again in the future!

Little Italy, everyone wants to get you to the table and has someone outside. So does this restaurant. A sympathetic boy outside told us about the Pasta with pepper and parmesan made at the table. chefs special.. Nowhere was the price; only that you pay an extra 15 dollars for the addition of truffle. the regular pastas were all around 25/29 dollars. so you think if you got a chef's special that will be around 10 more expensive 😂 Apart from the fact that it was all not tasty, the pasta cost 50 dollars !! excluding tip and taxes. ... I would not have wanted to give a tip here because I had nowhere to read what the pasta cost.. it was the show that made the price they said when I asked because we had not even taken truffle. As far as we are concerned, not recommended unless you have a fat wallet and want to eat fairly fat.

The food is terrific! I’d recommend this place to anyone especially if you are visiting NYC. The doormen are great, the serving staff wonderful, and the owner is very kind and personally interested in the diners. Very polite.

We stopped for two drinks (Gin and tonic and another cocktail, really minimal, price apart), the worst thing was to observe how the puller insisted on passers-by to make them sit, and the denial made heavy fun of them, in Italian. We have not tried the kitchen, but judging by those seen in the nearby tables, for example pasta I would not take...

Very surprised by the quality because it is a tourist street and often not up to par. Very good and welcome! Excellent lasagna and tiramisu Very correct quantity

Avoid! Disrespectful! I ordered 3 plates of simple pasta with cream sauce and cheese. Unfortunately it came with bacon while we don’t eat porc, so I explained, apologized and asked for new pasta. They did not cook new pasta but rather remove bacon and bring back the plates with rest of bacon they could not remove….. these people are simply disrespectful. The seafood salad I took was not even good…

Modern Italian restaurant. Handmade pasta. Fresh appetizers. Recommended but order Italian-American dishes (fettuccine Alfredo and meatball spaghetti) so you will feel the true flavor of these places. Avoid restaurants with too many signs outside.

They try to bring clients on the door. Advertise chef specials as the same price on the street - $15. The menu has no price on it - just add on truffle for $15. When the bill comes, they charge you $50 for a single pasta dish!! Scam! Avoid this place. Horrible situation!!

Best Italian food in nyc Everything was great service food atmosphere the desserts omg the cheese wheel pasta they cooked in front of you so yummy

We really just wanted a cafe and ended up with bri pizza and calamari. The calamari fritti were very good, not greasy and very crispy!! And the pizza was awesome! - just like in Italy! Clear Recommendation!!

We sat inside and was good as was rather hot outside. Had a nice large table and had pre order to share some starters which was very good, pizza, burrata and more. Had a good pasta for the main with shrimps on top and a few bottles of wine which was not cheap. Closed with tiramisu. Overall for 7 us was just under 1000 euro.

My husband is a great cook, Sicilian born and we are VERY picky. I live in Scottsdale Arizona with some of the best restaurants. Without question one of the best restaurants we had in our NY trip. The portions are HUGE, flavors authentic and incredible, the eggplant crisp and the pastas to die for. The seafood is as fresh as it gets. Gluten free hand made pasta for my son with autism and the wine selections abundant. Best of all is the SERVICE, Ebal is a complete gentlemen, all the servers were polite gentlemen who waited on our every need. I can’t thank you enough for this experience

We were stopped by one of the staff as we were walking by on our way to another Italian restaurant that had good reviews. He showed us the lunch menu and we checked the reviews and were so glad we did. The service was great- quick and attentive. We ordered 3 different items: lasagna, chicken Marsala and pesto fusilli with fresh mozzarella. Everything was delicious! The lasagna melted in my mouth. We shared all 3 dishes. The chicken was slightly overdone but still good. The pastas were perfect. I was trying to leave a review on Yelp but I couldn’t due to some reviews commenting on something unrelated. I couldn’t check in either for the same reason. However, the manager or owner brought us each a limoncello- delicious! Turned out to be just the experience I was looking for. We will definitely return when we’re back in New York.

Great atmosphere, really nice staff and great food! We were welcomed by the lovely Vilma outside on the street in the rain and walked in to this really nice new restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant! Service was fantastic and the food was incredible! Bonus was the chef making pasta by hand in the front window!

Loved the carbonara, focaccia, olive oil. Loved the negroni. Great, modern restaurant in little Italy. Loved this place.

We gotta very good lunch and very nice service. We’ve had gnocchi, fettuccine Alfredo, tagliatelle ragu and spaghetti with meatballs. All good and well served

My wife and I happened on this restaurant. Dinner was fantastic. The fettuccine alfredo and the beef spare ribs are both great choices. The service was top notch.

The dishes are expensive but not tasteful, respectable service. The pizza four cheeses was mediocre. I do not recommend this restaurant

Warm and welcoming environment on Mulberry Street...not crowded for lunch on a rainy Saturday...attentive and friendly wait staff...

Only just opened but don’t be put off by that. Food is great, hostesses and staff all decent guys and nice to talk to. Sam the barman was serving us the best cocktails we had in NYC. Try it for sure!!

Having a wander around Mulberry Street, we popped in for lunch. TBH, we were a little disappointed. Sourdough bread and oil and balsamic was nice to start. Despite it not being busy, service was pretty slow and we felt the mains had been sitting for a while before being brought to the table as they were pretty cold. Bucatini carbonara was decent as was pollo but nothing spectacular. There are so many other (lower-priced) places close by we just wondered if it would have been better elsewhere.

It was an amazing experience with the most gracious and accommodating staff. Each dish was even more flavorful than the last with us feeling right at home. We could not recommend this gem more highly! Thank you Moe and Iman for making this a memorable experience!

I just wanted a good pizza with a decent salad. I was greeted on the street with a smile and welcomed into this restaurant. They accommodated our needs and I have to say, the pizza is amazing. The cross of the pizza was just perfect and the toppings of arugula and prosciutto, exemplified the dining experience. Customer service is top rated here. We really appreciate the service and attention to our dining needs.

Spectacular Italian restaurant in the heart of Little Italy in New York. Spectacular pizza, fresh and well cooked pasta. Well selected Italian wines. Elegant atmosphere; ambient music that makes you not want to leave. Very good cocktail shaker. I recommend Negroni on rhe Rock. The treatment of the staff, unsurpassed. They deserve a very good tip.

Disappointing experience - the restaurant chose because of their cheese-wheel pasta, but chose it because of the price - $50 and then only dropped with truffle oil and not with freshly roasted truffle, as it should otherwise be at that price. The fried inkjet and calamari for prey were delicious - but standard tomato sauces for calamares are not good. The subsequent lobster ravioli completely lacked the taste of Hummer and swam around in the same standard tomato sauce that was served for calamares and their pasta carbonara tasted only of pastevand and could not redes by a raw egg yolk on top. As a diligent Italy traveller, I know how the Italian dishes should be cooked and taste / also although there may be local differences. The bill was presented virtually before the cutlery was laid on the plate - so unfortunately - no recommendation from here ....

Excellent food and service! Fresh homemade pasta and great wine selection. Beautiful interior and ambience. Amazing place!!

Absolutely loved this place. Food was excellent, drinks perfect, staff very friendly. No need to look anywhere else to eat in Little Italy. We stopped in when walking around looking for some lunch and we were very happy with this choice.

A bit touristy but the area is - enjoyed Burrata & Prosciutto, Cacio & Pepe, Bucantini alla Carbonara, wine Will return!

The place is great, but the food is really bad! The pizza was so hard it gave me jaw pain. At 24 dollars a pizza it’s unacceptable

I happened upon Osteria Barocca while strolling through Little Italy, drawn in by the hawker outside promising 'the best homemade pasta' and boasting no wait for lunch. The menu looked promising, so we decided to give it a try. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered an Aperol spritz, which was refreshing and well-balanced, and the Tagliatelle Al Ragu. My dining partner went with the Mushroom Spinach Marvel Calzone Pizza, minus the spinach and broccolini rabe, a request that was happily accommodated. The Aperol spritz was spot on, and the pasta, though a little on the watery side, was satisfying. The portion was huge—enough to share between two people. My dining partner found his calzone tasty and similarly large, with a crispy, doughy exterior and a flavorful filling. Overall, Osteria Barocca is a solid option if you’re in the area and want a no-fuss meal. While it didn’t blow me away, it was satisfying enough for a casual lunch without the hassle of waiting.

Such an amazing place very authentic Italian food service great drinks on point the espresso martini is #1 in New York City

Calling them thieves is a compliment two cheese and pepper $100 when the menu said $15 each. To be avoided absolutely

Stay away from this place !!! Service is not pleasant at all. Food is not special at all. But the worst thing is to get tummy ache and DIARRHOEA while you are on holiday.

We stopped to enjoy dessert and a good Italian espresso. The Italian girl who served us was very kind and friendly, definitely a positive aspect of the place, and with whom we exchanged a chat in company. We only passed through the Italian neighborhood once, otherwise we would have gladly returned to this place.

4 people group. We took 4 different pastas, one seafood, one carbonara and two gnocchi. Carbonara was quite basic, everything else was tasty. The water was 10€ per bottle which was quite steep in my opinion. After the food we found a living maggot on the table but we cannot tell where it came from. We got tiramisu as a compensation, also got offered limoncello but we refused.

We wanted to try the experience in an Italian restaurant in the Little Italy neighborhood. They all have except Italy in their dishes! We ordered a burrata, it started well and then came the pasta, tasteless! Carbonara pasta bathed in the water that we had to send back in the kitchen, no taste, the worst carbo of my life, no cheese, just 1 egg yolk walking around. I took lobster ravioli, half cooked! Regarding the service, we waited for the entrance to be cleared, the dishes arrived after a lot of waiting because they took the wrong order, and when it happened they had not even cleared the entrance. And the highlight of the show, the bill, a fee for payment by CB, sales tax and the tips imposed at 18% when I did not want to give any. For $135 in Italy, you eat antipasti, starter, main course, dessert and champagne! A shame to serve this food!

Delicious food, great location. I love this place. We come back every time we are in NY. Fresh and authentic. Highly recommended!

The greeter at the sidewalk balanced the right amount of friendliness with a good knowledge of the food and process. The food was amazing, the pasta maker saw to an off the menu customization for my wife, and another chef made pasta a la vodka in a way that made a complicated process look effortless. The only negative was that our waiter seemed to have a communication barrier when we asked questions, and didn’t have a knowledge of the wines. Still a great way to celebrate our anniversary.

My second visit here. The first was for a work dinner and it was so amazing, brought the family back. Service was amazing- best described as true Italian hospitality. Warm, inviting and enveloping. We enjoyed a wide variety of offerings both times. Veal shank, margarita pizza, ravioli fungi, baked clams, beer salad, beef rolade. It’s very hard to get such a wide range of specialties right, but they do. Everything was perfectly prepared each time. The best though is the cheese wheel pasta. It’s only on special but if you see it, you must. Add the ambiance of the location in little Italy and it’s a recipe for magic. Stay away from the kitschy Italian places and come here for sure. Cocktails were strong.wine list was a bit pricey but comprehensive. 11 out of 10.

Stop here! We saw pasta being made live... we had tagliatelle with meat sauce and spaghetti with meatballs... perhaps the best we've ever eaten!!!!

Great pasta and pizza. Really authentic (which is not a matter of course in Little Italy). Here, fresh pasta is produced while waiting for food.

Walking through Little Italy I got hooked by the Italian girl who invited passers-by to try the restaurant, very cute and smart. I must say that we sat down in the outside room because we were tired of walking and the intention was to eat elsewhere, so without under any illusions we order. I was really impressed with the pizza and spaghetti alla guitar with meatballs that my son got! Better than some things they serve us in Rome! Both dishes were very good. Service, among other things, very fast. I definitely recommend it, even the interior is very well done, congratulations from Italy.

We had the best experience ever . We will be back .the food and the service was top notch. Especially the pizza .my kids want to come back the next day for it . Thank you

Really delicious food in a lovely setting! Very friendly service too. We were completely satisfied and would come back anytime!

Attention! Unfortunately we were cheated! We were lured in with the words "Happy Hour". We were assured that the beer cost $7 and all spritz drinks cost $10. The bill then charged $10 for the beer and $17 for the spritz drinks!!!!! We were told that the drinks we had chosen were not included in the happy hour. The tip was already added to the bill, which is why we had to pay it too, despite our bad experience. The four of us paid $250 for four pasta dishes, four four and two spritz drinks!!

I'm a tour operator and NYC tour guide, and I have been to most of the Italian restaurants on Mulberry over the years. The way the manager/owner treated me and my guests was absolutely uncalled for and flat-out rude and disrespectful! I took 4 of my clients there for lunch last week, and we were promptly seated inside. Our server Ada was the highlight of our meal, as she was very friendly, attentive, and professional. The food everyone ordered was, for the most part, pretty good, though my dish had a serious issue. I chose to go with their special, the Fruiti di Mare. It came with a multitude of seafood and half a lobster on top. Sadly, when I turned it over, the shell was missing a huge chunk of the lobster. I called over Ada, who apologized, and took the food to her manager. He seemed to believe I was lying and that I ate that part. My 4 clients were quick to my rescue and sided with me that the lobster meat was mostly not present. When we sat down, I had told Ada that we were tight on time and needed to leave fairly quickly. So when the manager said we'll redo your lobster and it would be another 15-20 minutes, I quickly explained that I didn't have the time and to just take the lobster portion of the dish. He disagreed and said I could only take $10 off. I calmly told him this wasn't acceptable, and he insisted he had the other half coming soon. I declined as we had to leave. As we were heading towards the exit, he brought the other half of the lobster and said, "Here you go." I once again declined and asked him to do the right thing by taking the lobster off the bill. He then started berating me loudly that he had now lost a full lobster because of my attitude and was very loud and aggressive towards me about it. He did this in front of my clients and other customers. It is completely disrespectful if you ask me. He still didn't take the lobster off the bill, just a small $15 discount. So, I paid $60+ with taxes for pasta with a handful of small clams, shrimp, and calamari. As I said in the beginning, I work in that part of town all the time, and I've never had a manager being so aggressive and mean towards a customer before. The dish he served me was missing a key part of the meal, and at $70+ tax, I surely should expect the food looking and being the way it should be. Our total bill was almost $250 without any apetizers or alcohol. Needless to say, I would never go back there as long as that manager/owner works there. Shame on him!

Food was okay, not great and the service was horrible!!!! First, we waited so long for food to come out. and when it finally came out, they forgot to bring out a side dish along with one of the dinners. We had to ask the waiter a few times to check on the side dish and then he finally came out and said the kitchen never made it. They didn't even try to rectify the matter. I will not be going back to this restaurant. There are many others in Little Italy with better service.

A good negroni. Homemade pasta. Wine. Want else is needed? Fun interior. Great staff and management team. Walked in with another family walking out singing the praises of this place and they were right. Pesto is the best outside of Home and the fettuccine Alfredo was spot on. Be sure to book reservations well in advance. Tried to go back a second night and had to settle for take out (still amazing).

Nice astmosphere! The food and the vines are really good here. We just went for a drink and something small but I’ll definitely come back here for dinner

Best food in Little Italy we were a large group everything was in point food staff and ambience Carbonara was amazing and rigatoni spicy vodka so delicious
Family trip to New York City
The food was fantastic. The service was great. We had a fabulous time. The gluten-free pizza was delicious for those who had gluten issues.
