This place is fantastic! The food is delicious and it’s a real gem! We went to it early one evening as two weary tourists and were blown away by the fantastic food and outstanding service. Our server Eddie was exceptional and so friendly, charming and knowledgeable. We even returned two days later for brunch to have the same meal again it was that good! An excellent experience and once again thank you Eddie for looking after us Brits so Well!

Fabulous Dining Experience

My daughter, 13, wanted to eat at a Top Chef restaurant when we visited New York. The entire dining experience exceeded her expectations. The ambience, food, presentation and service were fantastic. A true treat!

Worst breakfast in New York. Avoid

By Eimear M |

Worst breakfast in a 27 day trip to the US. $52 for 2 scrambled eggs & toast & iced coffee. Eggs lukewarm warm, toast cold and rock hard (inedible) , one small sausage cut in two, one slice of solid “bacon” and coffee so strong it was nearly solid. Food served on paper plates with plastic cutlery that was so flimsy it wouldn’t cut soft butter (not that we got any). Would have been bad value even if edible. And yes, I did tell them. I was so annoyed I forgot to take a photo of the “food” offered.

Gem of a restaurant next to the Barclay Intercontinental

Popped in for lunch and chose the steak and eggs. Excellent food and very attentive and professional service. Wish we had discovered this gem of a place earlier on in our visit. Highly recommended.

Now Open - and pretty good

By traveltime841 |

I took a friend for the "NYC Restaurant Week" dinner promotion at this recently opened Midtowner (which also has a grab and go establishment on the other side of the shared space) - overall the experience was good. I started with the beet salad which was quite tasty, although my friend was less impressed with the tomato soup which had a large somewhat-limp piece of gruyere on top (a la french onion soup). My bison short ribs were tender and the jack cheese polenta was a pleasant surprise, while my friend said the black sea bass was good but had too much turmeric. Service was very good at the beginning of the meal but as the dinner progressed it became more and more difficult to get drinks ordered and water glasses refilled. Will definitely come back in the near future - wishing them success!

A Hidden Gem

After walking over 20,000 steps exploring the city, our group of seven was completely exhausted, starving, and ready to call it a night. The plan was simple: head to the hotel restaurant, grab dinner, and collapse into bed. But as fate would have it, we noticed a cozy restaurant tucked away on the corner street, and it looked like it could seat all of us without much of a wait. At that point, we just needed food—fast. What a surprise this turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and treated like royalty. The service was absolutely outstanding, and the food—wow—was out of this world. Every bite was perfection. I ordered the sirloin, which was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Our servers, Alex and Zack, were phenomenal. They anticipated our needs before we even realized them, ensuring our drinks were always full and that we wanted for nothing throughout the meal. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better—the desserts arrived. Each of us ordered something different, but the unanimous family favorite was the cotton candy and cake pops. They were pure magic and the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy fantastic food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is it. Whether it’s for a casual dinner, a special occasion, or just because—you will not be disappointed. This hidden gem will definitely be a place we visit again and again!

Great midtown location - walk out of Grand Central's 47th Street extension and it's across the street. Metered street parking requires payment until midnight (welcome to midtown) but there are garages everywhere. You can see the lit pink Himalayan salt brick walls from a block away. Opened in December so it is spotless inside. I hustled to the restroom which was spacious with flowers and chotchkies on the counter. Chairs are lovely, wide & velvety. Wine list was wonderfully affordable but we started with cocktails anyway. Her Pisco Sour was spirited and refreshing. My gin gimlet was excellent - they make fresh cucumber juice for this, order it. Popovers had a crispy crust & were warm inside. We shared salads (Caesar and simple green, both with plenty to offer, including a tangy house-made Caesar dressing). Her rigatoni bolognese was an ample order and the bites I had were savory, hot with perfectly cooked pasta. My ribeye was on the money. Shared sides included brussels sprouts (Asian style) & Park Ave fries (melted gruyere, prosciutto, everything but the kitchen sink). Key lime pie hit the spot & my cappuccino was picture worthy. Overall a memorable dinner. We absolutely will return.

We just happened to stumble upon this restaurant on the last day of our trip because of it’s location to our hotel, and honestly it made our trip. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Zach and Alex were wonderful. If you get the chance order the OG cake pop dessert. You won’t be disappointed!

Specious and tasty

We had a lot of fun. The place is big and has a section where you can buy sandwiches and food to go. We had the lobster dumplings (excellent) for starters and then the ginger-black pepper salmon and butternut raviolis for main. Everything was vey good. we finished with a tasty Key lime pie. Service was quick and efficient. Restroom are clean.

You must go to this restaurant. Opposite the Intercontinental Barclay on Lexington 48. Amazing.

Omg I’ve been around the world but this is definitely in my top 2 best food I’ve ever tasted. Lobster dumpling starters and buffalo ribs in a wonder sauce…. Magnificent, stunning . I’m not a foodie person so to be raving about the food it must be good.

Excellent !!!!!

Very central restaurant a stone's throw from Rockefeller Center serving excellent quality cuisine. Delicate and well-balanced flavours. Impeccable service and good choice of wines. I was worried about ordering spaghetti, being in NY, but it was well cooked and excellent. To return Good boy!!!

Definitely get the Pastrami sandwich!

We didn't know our visit was during Restaurant Week. We were hungry and needed to eat before it got too late. Walked by and thought "Let's go here". As soon as we stepped in we thought "Uh oh.... Over priced with mediocre food" We were seated and given the menu. I ordered the Crispy Skin Salmon and my fiance begrudgingly ordered the pastrami (because I kinda pushed it). In his mind, you only get a deli sandwich at a deli. The waiter mentioned about winning a blind taste test so the fiance felt a little better. We were both blown away with the both our dishes! The salmon skin was really nice and crispy, but it was a bit overcooked. It was still absolutely delicious! I definitely would order again. The pastrami was the REAL SURPRISE!! My fiance was VERY skeptical. He had his more than his fair share of NY pastrami sandwiches plus one of his favorites from Austin TX (smoked). He said "You know what? This is better than XXXX (won't mention the name). The fries that comes with the sandwich are sooo good!! Great idea of cutting the steak fries like that! I'm making another trip to NY in November with my BFF and it has been requested, by the fiance, to bring back 2 sandwiches to Michigan. One to eat upon return and one to freeze. See you in November!

David Bourke steeling in the Park (AV)

With some quality overall, they failed completely: 1 - Small and crowded tables 2 - Unpleasant noisy atmosphere 3 - They have interesting menus, with fixed prices and 3 “courses”. I chose the most expensive one (60$) and an affordable wine (30$ - which at Vivino was worth €6.5). My menu had a starter of rickety oysters (ok) but the main course (Fillet mignon) came with a horrible tomato sauce with cumin (???) and the meat tasted like soap. 4 - I protested and they brought me another piece of meat that was half the height (was it the same? It had no top or bottom crusts) and dry as a sole, with no salt or flavor, inedible. 5 - I sent it back and when I was expecting a slightly better steak, they brought me dessert. 6 - In the end, I was charged for the steak, but instead of charging for the menu, they charged me what I'd eaten so that it was even more expensive. This is a real rip-off and I warn anyone who votes for this place that it just seems badly run! But after shelling out $90.00 for a starter and a dessert, of course I strongly advise against it!

Delicious, Creative Cuisine

By Valerie G |

Excellent, Creative Cuisine with superb service. Highly recommend! The scallops over butternut squash in a delicious sauce was fabulous, as was the professional service. A truly enjoyable dinner and not too pricey for NYC or for the caliber of food and service.
