This place still makes great pizza after all of these years! We took the pizza to go and ordered from the slightly shady looking pizza oven operation on the far north end of the storefront. The dining room is old school, and lovely, although it has been years since I've eaten there. The place remains cash only for all services, but is totally worth the hassle.

Broad pasta menu. Pizzas build your own. Option for family style if a larger group. Portion sizes were good actually, not as big as I expected. Good value for money.

Cosy pizzeria. Staff were very attentive and the pizza was excellent. Thin and crispy, and came incredibly quickly.

We visit Patsy's in Harlem every time we visit New York. It is a good walk from the subway, but the neighborhood is nice--there is a large Hispanic community in Harlem which reminds me of my hometown & everyone we have encountered there is very nice. At Patsy's, I enjoy the house salad with their balsamic vinaigrette--just great. The pizza is always heavenly. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni on a coal-fired crust. The place is usually less than half full--or maybe we just end up visiting during slow times--but Patsy's, in my opinion, deserves to always be busy. Be advised--the restaurant only accepts cash.

Best pizza we had in New York and we are fussy about our food. Lots of topings and basil. This pizza was delicious.

Went for lunch but couldn't sit outside because all their outside tables only sat two. Margarite pizza was great but they forgot an entree. They made up for it by providing us with good cheesecake and amazing chocolate mousse cheesecake. Definitely save room for that... Every... Time!

This is the first thing I managed to eat when touching down in New York. The hype is absolutely well deserved and its gotta be in my top three best coal oven pizzas I've ever had. You can tell how proud the locals are of this pizzeria as well which really tells you what this place means to the neighborhood. Would absolutely recommend for people visiting New York like myself.

Just so happened to be walking by, not knowing what to eat and saw this restaurant. I love pizza and am so glad we found it. Just the kind of pizza I love. So tasty and simple, love it.

So incredible good tastes on both pizza and pasta. Nice service and quick delivery👍🏼 Really recommend a trip by😊

U want a slice 🍕 of authentic Italian brick oven pizza!!! When u driving thru 1st avenue in NYC stop at 118th street. The Best hands down. Ask for a pie instead. U won't regret it n u will b back.

Very nice place, friendly staff wide ranging menu, great waitress from Corfu, very popular good drinks menu also.

Great food! The pizza is fantastic, and relatively well-priced for somewhere on the upper east side. If you're ordering for less than 4, the individual pastas and salads should be enough to share, especially since a family salad (feeds 4-5) is about 24.00 alone. The pizza is thin crust, but is loaded with the toppings of your choice and tastes super fresh. Service is so-so, the servers had a little bit of attitude and did not come to offer refills on drinks, etc, but overall I can't complain. This was the second time eating there, and it was as good as I remembered.

We love Italian food and had high expectations of Patsys having read the reviews. It was a cold snowy day in March, early evening, and we felt like some comfort food, we both ordered Lasagne. It was dreadful, stodgy pasta held together with very little flavourless meat and canned tomatoes spooned over the top. My husband did eat his as he was so hungry, I ate very little. We were honest with the waitress and told her it was the worst Lasagne we had ever been served. She apologised, told us we should have complained earlier then offered us a complementary dessert, but only one to share not one each! The tiramisu was actually pretty good. It was our worst dining experience in a long time.

We ate here a few times as it was close to our hitel. Shared a giant pizza one night, was lovely. Then I had lasagna, wow! Really enjoyed, great service too.

very thin crust pizza yummy yummy, will accomodate large group of people on second floor, cosy compact

We attended for lunch and had the penne alla vodka, rigatoni campagnola and ravioli. The dishes arrived quickly and were delicious.

Great service and really good food. Be prepared to take a doggie bag. Only downside was the American white wine, go for the Italian or even better a beer.

We visited this pizzeria this evening and were utterly delighted with the standard of food and service. The young man who served us was fabulous, informative, efficient and with a great sense of humor. He made this dining experience exceptional To start we shared calamari between three, it was succulent, tender and very fresh. Pizza, seafood linguine and spinach ravioli with pistachio sauce were sublime. The tiramisu and black and white mouse cake were light and utterly delicious, as was the house red wine. Well done and thank you! A wonderful find

Went here last week and had a great meal. Our sever was very friendly. We had a pizza with peppermi and sausage...nice touch- fresh basil. Super tasty. The kids share fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and it was very tasty. Also got a slice of the mousse cake for dessert and shared. It was creamy and delicious. This was a great place for a family dinner.

While I know Patsy’s has individual owners, this one was awful. The service was slow, wait staff were angry, and the food was meh. We ordered starters that came out with the main. They never checked to see if we wanted more drinks, threw the check down after waiting for quite some time. I would never go back to this location.

Absolutely one of the best pizzas I have eaten. The crust is amazing, the sauce on the pizza with the mozzarella/ricotta cheese delicious. The waiter was very friendly. So glad we drop in to have a great pizza.

Wanted to try some authentic pizza whilst in NYC and stumbled across this little restaurant down a side road after a hard day's sightseeing. Quite small but intimate, prices a little on the high side, but nice pizza. A bit disappointed with the service, as our waiter struggled to understand us and we struggled to understand him (not sure where he was from - perhaps Polish or Russian?) so had to repeat things on both sides a few times. Overall pretty good though.

Ordered chicken picatta. Served with a measly hard roll, no butter. Picatta arrives. Three bites deep found a piece of plastic wrapper. 2”x1”. Hard to miss. I get it that sometimes accidents happen, but the lack of response from the server was beyond pathetic. ‘Oh, sorry’. That was it. One half-baked apology. Nothing else. No one from management checked in. Just deplorable customer service. Stay away from this one.

A total of six of us went there and ordered six different entrées three of us having chicken Parmesan. The chicken was average but the portions were good. Ordered iced tea wasn't happy that they charge for refills even ice tea without telling you. Service was okay. Overall the place was OK nothing really bad not very fan either

We had arrived in NYC earlier that day so we're slightly jet lagged, which influenced our experience. But overall the restaurant and vibe was very nice - it was very busy and the staff very accommodating. The pizza was very good, however it did go cold very quickly but on the whole a good Italian restaurant.

I had the pizza. Look - the crust was crunchy and thin and also slightly chewy so all around lovely BUT it was ridiculously expensive for what it was. The price point on the menu items was my biggest draw back. Had the caprese salad and the tomatoes were big tasteless grainy tomatoes- and for $13 I expect some lovely fricken tomatoes. It hit the spot - but I'll be looking for something better quality at this price point.

We had visited this restaurant when we last stayed in New York. The food and service was great. However our recent visit was not the best experience. A lady took us to our table and we ordered our drinks and food. No smile or interaction with us whatsoever. Food came and was fine but I hadn't even finished my meal and my husband's plate was taken away. Never asked how the meal was. We asked for the bill, we paid and left. Never bothered to check if we wanted the sweet menu/coffees etc.. She couldn't get rid of us any quicker. Won't be recommending to anyone. Service was rubbish.

With outstanding service from our attentive and good-humored waiter Ari (short for “Aristotle”), three of us shared pasta fagioli, a romana salad, fettuccine bolognese, and chicken parmigiana. It was a delightful family feast.

I don't know what pizza place is considered the most "iconic" NYC place to go, but this place has been around for a while and was recommended to me by a friend. The pizza was delicious, not overly greasy, fresh, and I had no complaints. Not sure if I had the best of the best new york style, but I wasn't disappointed.

A great stop after visiting the United Nations building. Pizza crust is thin, lots of sauce and the toppings were piled on. Staff is friendly and courteous.

I'm a native New Yorker who returns to the city between 1-3 times a year for visits. Lately, many friends have recommended Patsy's for pizza so I tried it. In Detroit, we have a pizzeria/restaurant called Bigalora that is fashioned after NY pizza/restaurants. Patsy's was comparable to Bigalora in the quality of its pizza but certainly not better. Definitely worth a visit but sad that NY pizza is no longer the must have dish that it used to be. My wife had a salad and it was very good, but again, not awe inspiring.

Ordered a pizza and a calzone, both arrived hot and fresh. Portions are large, great for sharing. Not the cheapest place for dinner but you won't leave hungry.

OK prices, good service, good eats. Our party had appetizers, pizza and pasta. Would go back. Right around the corner from the Hampton Inn.

Great place, nice ambiance friendly staff. We ordered the fried zucchini and the sun dried tomatoes. Everything came out delicious and didn't take long. We will be back for sure.

Stopped in with my daughter and tasted as good as the patsys I remember from 20 years ago. Great thin crust, sweet sauce and pepperonis! And great friendly staff including our server Anita - thanks!

The service was spotty - attentive at times and seemingly absent at others. The salads were very well done, but the pizzas were not. The crust was too bland, too much cheese adorned the top, and the toppings failed to impress my taste buds. Odd that a pizza place would have better salads than pizza. A convenient location for a midtown work lunch, but I am not rushing to return.

We placed a large order for pizzas to feed some 40 children and adults at a birthday party in a park in Midtown in August. The pizzas were delicious - as always - and arrived on time. We got plain round and old-fashioned square pies, as well as mushroom and meat. Cannot recommend the quality of the food and the service. Placing the order was a breeze and I got a call one-day before to confirm all the information. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel and recommended by multiple hotel staff. The food was good and it seemed to be busy every night and popular with the locals. We shared the mixed green beet salad and it was great. The portions were ample and most could not finish their meal.

The pizza is always top notch. This time I went with salmon w sauteed spinach. Loved it. The crust was pan seared perfectly.

There is another Patsy's on the West side and these two are not related at all. Actually, they have been feuding for years as to who is the “real Patsy's”... As far as I am concerned, 2nd Avenue wins without any doubts! Today we had another great lunch there. The zucchini chips with yogurt dip were out of this world. And the pasta fagioli was excellent, up to the last detail, like the right type of pasta, ditallini, being used. And for you, fat-obsessed customers, they offer you a choice of making it without bacon, how cool is this! Pizza is thin-crust, ambiance cozy and decor black and white photos of Dino & Frankie all over. House Chianti decent and inexpensive, service great, and you can even have Tartufo for desert! Highly recommended.

Ate here last night & the service was awful. We had to ask to have our order taken & not once did anyone ask how our meal was. It's a shame as the food was lovely. First time on this trip I haven't left a tip. I won't leave a service tip if I receive no service!

Nice looking neighborhood place with what appeared to be regulars..We had the spinach and beet salad and they split it without problem, as it is a lot. Expected more from the pizza, as it was dry and hard. Even with extra cheese there was very little. We are from the Midwest and this is not what we get. Service good and others appeared to be enjoying their meals.

I came for lunch and was quite satisfied. Following dietary requirements, I did not have many choices in general, but I found something and my dish was very good. As the dish had to be adjusted to a small extend, the waiter double checked with the chef to make sure (the rest of) my dish would meet the requirements, which I appreciated very much. Portion sizes are generous, quality of ingredients and taste are very good. When not following a special diet, the range of Mediterranean dishes covers all sorts of likings including meat/fish/vegetarian and I recommend this restaurant to everyone who appreciates Italian/Mediterranean cuisine.

we have 2 sons 3 and 7 years old and this place is really a good one for family. the menu is fineand we recommend to have one big pizza for a french family. we would also thank the full team for rheit warm welcome and their kindness. i defintly recommend this restaurant

After days of dining out at trendy bistros, we were looking for pizza near our hotel in Midtown East. Considered delivery but so glad we went instead. A traditional Italian family pizzaria vibe reminiscent of those in my home town upstate where one can watch the pizza master twirl your dough and create your favorite in the ovens in full view. Though Patsy's offers a full menu of apps, salads, desserts and entrees, we were focused on NY style pizza. Great efficient and attentive server, Nelly, and her team. The 17" is too big for two, but we ordered it anyway with extra mozzarella, Sun-dried tomatoes, shrooms, and kalamata olives. Big pie, nice crusty, chewy edges and 'foldy' centers. Outstanding pungency of topping flavors, including fresh basil garnish, melding with the richly savory Italian tomato sauce. Paired with mugs of Brooklyn Brewery brown ale at a very good price and we were totally over sated and fully whelmed.

Near the U.N., this unpretentious Italian restaurant may not catch your eye - but GO THERE. The food is outstanding, the service is attentive, friendly and prompt. And the food comes out blazing hot ... as it should but rarely does nowadays. Try the white pizza - mozzarella and ricotta - thin crust and spectacularly tasty. The eggplant parm - just plain good! The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is what you want in a neighborhood restaurant - unpretentious, but clean, spacious and welcoming. Have I said this twice already?? GO THERE when you're in NYC.

We were in New York for a week in April and stopped here pizza. The service was good and the pizza was tasty. Our server, Maria, was helpful and very efficient. We came back the next night to try the pasta. It was also good. If you are in the area or staying nearby, please give Patsy's a try.

We ordered food for pickup and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. It was ready in 15 minutes and was really good! The pizza was enough for leftovers tomorrow. The pasta came with 2 buns and was a very large portion. Very impressed with the taste and quality. We will absolutely go back.

You have to try a New York pizza right? Well we decided to try Patsy's - looked so pretty from the outside with its green facade, warm and welcoming on a cold January evening. Inside it was cosy and we decided to share a 17 inch Old School Round Pie (we weren't exactly sure what that was all about but took a chance!) Anyway we got basically a margherita pizza, round, with extra toppings of sausage, spinach and mushroom. It came on a stand, was huge, very filling and absolutely delicious. It all felt very authentic which we loved and would visit again the next time we are in New York.

Went here with a party of 7 after 8 PM, and they made room for us right away. Bustling busy, warm and friendly place. Pizza was fresh and good, chicken soup was perfect and fish was also good. Good beer selection. I forgot my credit card there, and when i went back to look for it in the morning before the opened, I tapped on the window and a young woman unlocked the door. When i told her about leaving my card there the previous night, she disappeared into the back and came back with my card. An honest New York place!

On a fairly quiet afternoon, my party waited 35 minutes just to order. The food was delivered quickly but the hostess - who took over after the waitress disappeared - said nothing about the terrible service. The food was decent but not spectacular. Frank Sinatra was allegedly a fan, but there's little ambience to the place; a few photos but no jazz or swing music. Patsy's is obviously a place for locals who don't mind spending two or three hours eating. If this doesn't describe you, there are a thousand and one other Italian restaurants that offer better food and undoubtedly better service.

Each time we gonto NY we use to visit Patsy', there are several in NY and its a good option to have a nice pizza.

My husband chose this restaurant based on reviews found on trip advisor. What a great choice. We had a beautiful dinner here. Reasonably priced, great service and overall lovely experience. We had pizza which was perfectly cooked and pasta which had so much flavour. I have nothing negative to say about this place. As an Australian we find the tipping culture unusual, but we were glad to tip the young waiter we had this evening. Well done

Recommended by the hotel concierge we found it to be better than expected. An Italian eatery that had excellent soups and salads and great thin crust Pizza. The service was good, the wine list adequate and not overpriced and the prices in general okay considering that you are in Manhattan. Would return. The Fagioli and Capri salads were more than good as were the portions. With appetizers the 21 inch pizza we ordered was to large for two, but we ate it all anyway! Casual and fun place.

Excellent pizza and fast service. Great for business lunch without being too formal. Pizzas are pretty big too.

We stumbled across this pizzeria as we was walking back to our hotel after the 4th July fireworks. The place was heaving but we was accommodated a table straight away and given a menu. We ordered drinks and our pizza quickly, I then asked the owner for tap water and he was happy to comply and got them straight away. The owner took an interest in our British accent and was chatting to us for a while. The pizza arrived very quickly given the circumstances of the busy night and was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best pizzas in NYC! I know this is a small chain now and not even owned by Italians I think, but still makes a great pie. It's all about the tomato sauce. I'd drink it out of a cup. More sauce than cheese which is the way it should be. Smoky thin crust stands on its own. Pasta Fagioli soup good too.

Been there several times for Lunch. Good Pizza and other Pasta dishes... good and fresh, fast service.

This is a very pleasant place, very convenient to a number of hotels, but also patronized by regulars. The atmosphere and service are relaxing and unpretentious and the menu is varied. We had an excellent and generous arugula salad and the basic thin-crust pizza, which was not top-flight but still quite good. I noticed that many of the regulars were having pasta rather than pizza and the dishes looked attractive and appetizing. I will try one of them on the next visit, something I look forward to.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Patsy’s; very good food made all the more brilliant by the excellent staff who were very attentive and refreshing non-corporate. Enjoyed chatting about our mutual connection with Ereikoussa 😀😀😀

Stopped for 2 slices of cheese pizza. The pizza is excellent. Among the best of the street pizza slices I have had. Classic thin crush NYC pizza. Limited to cheese. $2.50 a slice is a bargain. The slices and take out pizzas are served from a small separate space next door to the restaurant. You have to stand and eat your slices. I will return. I will try the restaurant (next door) for dinner. Average service.

We were tired of walking back from the Phantom of the Opera to the hotel and very hungry, and it was late. When we arrived it was literally closing time and they graciously received us. They were in turn, very tired as well. The only other table at that time (11pm) was paying, so we were the only thing that was separating them from going home. They served us with care, with good attitude and smiling. Even though you could see how tired they were. The food is like eating at your favorite Aunts or grandma's place. Home made, unassuming, but good. Applause to everyone at Patsy's Pizzeria. Well done!

Great pizza, the service was excellent! We had the margharita pizza with beers and it was not expensive. Would go back!

Recommended by our motel desk clerk, we found a true gem. Until this visit, I would have put MY white pizza up against ANY other. Not anymore. Patsy's white pizza is an incredible taste experience - like NONE I've ever tasted. I have no reason to believe the same does not apply to their entire menu (the desk clerk said so). Maria, our server was a hoot - VERY Russian, yet VERY Americanized. Domestic beer selection is mostly non existent.

Patsy’s service is the best. However, I’ve had better pizza in Penn station. The crust was cracker like in texture . No bounce in the crust. I was disappointed by the hype in other reviews. How have they lasted so long. What Ami missing. Much better pizza elsewhere in NYC

Their food is amazing. We are vegetarians and had decent options here. We tried the spinach ravioli with the pistachio sauce and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

Patsy's was right around the corner from our hotel and was recommended by the staff and justly so - nice selection, and good food and service.

Very good food and attentive service. Our server, Ari, spent time giving us info about the menu items and recommendations for breakfast. As tourists, it’s nice to have the extra help.

Excellent pizza that you can compose - enough for 2. Good service. Maybe a little bit noisy. To recommend.

The food, overall, was good, but the service was lacking so I cannot recommend the restaurant, especially if you're eating solo. I found myself in NYC due to weather cancellation of my flight, so I looked online, found this restaurant was convenient to where I was staying and decided to give it a try. When I arrived the hostess looked at me and when I said dinner for one, she said I should sit at the bar - I'm not interested in sitting at the bar, so I let her know I prefer a table, so she sighed, looked around and seated me in a corner with very little room to be comfortable. The server took a full 10 minutes to even acknowledge I was waiting, took my order and that was the last I saw of her until I asked for my check. My meal was brought to me by someone else, then no one bothered to ask how my meal was, nor did they ask if I wanted anything else, but they did quickly clear my table when I was obvious I was finished eating....and even then it took my server another 10 or so minutes to appear after my table had already been cleared and so I asked for the check rather than having coffee and dessert.

We had a lovely meal here, 4 of us shared a large pizza, 2 good size slices each, which was plenty. Along with 3 beers and a diet coke the cheque was just $66 inc a tip. Quick service, polite friendly staff and pleasant surroundings, there was nothing not to like. Would certainly visit again.

The pizza was good. Ingredients were plentiful. The staff was very friendly. The cost was middle of the road.

Pasta and pizza. Mmmmmm. Pepperoni pizza was the best. Good delivery and fresh food. Waitress was efficient and friendly.

Arrived to this pizza place around 8pm on a Wednesday. I was there with my husband and my son who had just gotten out of hospital. We were directed to a table in the middle of the room that was super busy. When we asked if we could sit at a table on the side (which accommodated max 4 people), we were told by the waiter “no” that table is for “5 or 6 people”… we then decided to leave and the waiter was very condescending. Lost business and for us, lost reputation. Sometimes accommodating customers is not just about profitability. Some people actually need accommodations. Not recommended for anyone who is sensitive to noise (or rudeness).

We were recently in NYC and stayed at The Westgate. We "discovered" Patsys was just around the corner, so off we went for diner. What a treat! We had the Sicilian Salad. Probably the best Salad we've ever had. The thing to know about Patsys is most of the plates are enough for two. We had Pizza that night. Calamari the second night we went. (at least 4x the amount of calamari as compared to our local Thai place.) Go for the food. Staff are wonderful, and work smoothly and very efficiently. Can't recommend it enough. (ps they have an awesome house wine. If you' going to have two glasses - get the bottle). We'll go back next time when we're in NYC, just like we'll stay at the Westgate Again.

We arrived late in the evening and they still served us with a smile. Great pizza and a huge helping of chicken parmigiana. Might not have to eat again the whole time we’re in NY!

After a day of walking around mid-town it was a relief to have a fresh pizza New York style. Service was fine at the front end as we received our meal in a timely fashion. There was a wait for the bill but the restaurant was busy. The restaurant was close to our hotel - the Westin Hotel on 42nd Street.

the food was really average and the cost was too high....draft beer not good, at least the Samuel Adams

When I dine alone, I always bring a book or magazine to read. But so many restaurants keep the lights to dim that you have to read by flashlight! The food here is good AND I can have a nice dinner and read.

Sat at the bar on a busy Tuesday night and had a very good coal fired pizza. Great crust, sweet and tasty sauce and plenty of toppings. Not the best in NY but a good choice and not outrageously priced. The service could’ve been a little more attentive but it was fine.

We were staying at the Hampton Inn nearby and stopped in for a quick meal. The pizza at a nearby table looked good so we went with it. Good choice! Saw some reviews that complained about customer service but we had a very good server and were very happy with the entire experience. I would not hesitate to go back here again.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this for brick oven pizza and they were right. The pizza was excellent and the atmosphere and service was very good.

Great pasta dishes. The pizza is traditional. The wine is great, too. This is a must when visiting NYC

About two blocks from our hotel, this restaurant has great food at a reasonable price. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Piccata, and I really enjoyed my Herb Crusted Sole. The menu also included plenty of interesting pizza and pasta choices. Service was great too. Definitely recommended.

We ate twice here as it was close to our hotel. The food was good, atmosphere and service great too. Really enjoyed our dining experience on both occasions and recommended other guests at the hotel to stroll here for a meal - which they did, and they were not disappointed either. Would recommend.

This is a relaxed family restaurant. There are no pretenses here. They are serving up basic italian food: pizza, pasta, salad. A good place to take the kids for a quick meal after a day out in New York that won't break the bank.

Service was ok but food was poor. The calmari was cold and rubbery, the zucchini fritters greasy and the pizza soggy - overall not great

Pizza average, have had better. Spaghetti meatballs quite nice. BUT server not friendly at all, in fact quite abrupt and felt like they wanted to close up even though it was only 8.30pm. Not enjoyable at all. Felt quite uncomfortable and she couldn’t wait to get the tip off the table while we were still sitting there! Disappointed as reviews i had read before going were positive .

I went to this restaurant on the recommendation for the concierge at my hotel. I was seated quite quickly and handed the menu by the host. It took a while for a waitress to come and take my order but the food I ordered came within a reasonable amount of time. The spaghetti I had were okay, nothing special, the wine was good. I did not have dessert. The real let down was the payment process. I asked the waiter who cleared the plates for the bill, it didn't come. I managed to get the attention of the waitress who had served me, she wanted to get the bill to me, but again, it didn't come. After another 10 minutes, I got the attention of yet another waitress, who said I'd get it "soon". After a total of 25 minutes the bill finally came and then it only took another 10 minutes for the (cash) payment to be taken. Getting the change back was another challenge in itself. All in all paying for the meal took roughly 45 minutes, therefore longer than the meal. While I waited for the bill, two people were seated on the neighbouring table and were fawned over by three different waiters and the host. I gathered that they were friends of the owner and regulars, but this behaviour was over the top and held up service on a busy Saturday night. I would not go back to this restaurant and it was the only place during my trip where I only gave a tip of 10% as the service was pretty much non-existent.

We stopped here for pizza and Italian food. We found the food to be good but nothing outstanding. Service was fine and restaurant was very attractive. Pizza made in a brick oven. A little greasy for me.

The food is consistently good. This is a great, neighborhood restaurant with a tremendous vibe. Since 1933, this place has a long history.

Three of us shared a small pizza and a single serving of eggplant Parmesan. Complimentary crusty rolls started the meal. It was all very good and filling. Helpful staff, nice atmosphere and crisp white linen napkins. It was the teenagers choice and it was a good one.

We just wanted a good NY pizza and this was just the place. It was out of this world, Service was excellent . Would definitely go back again .

We were recommended to visit this restaurant as our nearby hotel didn't serve hot food in the evenings and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Five of us (three adults, two children) ate there and I no-one was disappointed. The food was very good and reminded me of a long-ago holiday in Italy where the food was so enjoyable because it depended on quality ingredients simply cooked. My spaghetti with tomato sauce was excellent in the same way. The best point, though, was the excellent service. We were made to feel genuinely welcome and the waiter was very helpful and efficient. Another plus was having a large round table with comfortable seating. We visited early on a Friday evening and the place soon filled up with cheerful guests.

We visited on a Saturday night and were warmly greeted by our server. The Lasagne was one of the best I've ever tasted. Very light and delicious. My wife had Linguine Scampi with spaghetti. Although she enjoyed it she thought it lacked a bit of taste. We had three glasses of Sauvignon to wash that down! In July 2017 that came to $75.00

Came in here late on a Sunday night, the place was quiet. Food was very decent. Pizzas looked very substantial. I would be back for sure.

Enjoyed the pizza, it was fresh and the ingredients were of a good quality. Extra toppings were the same for half a pizza or a full pizza which is strange. The drinks (specifically spirits) were extremely expensive. $13 dollars for a gin and lemonade...

Great white pizza, chicken parm and mushroom pasta dish by our party. Service was excellent, atmosphere great. Glad we gave this a try, will return.

After visiting Central Park we were hot and tired and anxious to get out of the heat of the day. We stumbled upon Patsy's for a quick drink, and lots of water, and decided to stay for some pizza. We made a very wise choice. The pizza was fresh, hot and delicious. We made a very good choice!

Came into NY and was Patsys was recommended by the concierge of our hotel. Went across tired and crumpled for a late dinner and quickly relaxed in the great cosy environment in Patsys. Was sat at a back table as the manager pointed out the ones at the front closer to the glass were colder which was considerate. Service was attentive and friendly and food was great. Found ourselves sat next to a family event which transpired to be the owners family and children who were great to talk to and even sent our sons a complimentary dessert. Lovely place, great food and really lovely family. We went to their other location on the upper west by Central Park the next night which was bigger and just as nice. Thanks for a great first and second night.

I went for a business lunch to this place and enjoyed the food. However, service was slow and there was a vibration on the floor that made our table shake so we had to change tables (out of our own initiative). The waiters didn't acknowledge or say anything anything about this, so I was not impressed. Not a bad place overall, but service could improve.

We went here a few times during our stay in NY. Service was friendly and the pizza was very good. It's a busy restaurant.

I walked a short distance to get a take-away pizza. Pasty's was very convenient. I ordered the 13" traditional round pie with sun-dried tomatoes and garlic. It was done in 15 minutes and was just outstanding. The crust was hand spun and the ingredients made the hotel staff stop and look. What a treat!

For business lunch, great little place for pizza. Thoroughly enjoyed the margarita pizza, with fresh basil, awesome pasta sauce. A pie was plenty for 3. Good for family and friends too. The other food items come out looked well proportioned and very appetizing. Will come back!

We ate here 3 nights last week. The service was always gracious and efficient. The food was great whether pizza or something else off the menu. You cannot book unless you have a large party but we always got a place. A lot of locals eat here which is as good a recommendation as you can get.

The pizza is really good. But my fave was the calzone!! It is prepared perfectly!!! If you like pizza/pizzeria food definitely make a stop at Patsy's !

I've visited a few branches of Patsy's Pizzeria within the city over various visits, but this time I had dinner with my family at their Upper East Side location (one block behind Bloomingdale's). The service was great, the staff were lovely and very friendly. After a busy day walking around Manhattan, it was lovely to sit in a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. We shared two large pizzas between five of us - there was plenty and it was extremely tasty! This was our favourite meal of the holiday and probably the cheapest too. Great service, yummy food and extremely good value! I will recommend anyone to visit one of the restaurants and will certainly return on my next visit to NYC.

It was "okay." The service was good, but the food was mediocre! Our family ordered the pizza, but somehow the cheese was missing.

Nice family style restaurant, good solid Italian food, not remarkable but good. Service has problems. We were waiting for water for 30 min. Food showed up but we did not have silverware to eat...) or napkins although I asked 6 times various people. Could not find anyone to bring it. Waited 5 min for fork and knives and when came food was cold. The salad was just cut lettuce and tomatoes with no taste. So if you want basic Italian was OK. We wont come again

Had a work meeting here with one other person. Good internet. Relatively spacious and quiet (for NYC lunch hour). Healthy lunch options with plenty of salads and fish. Not just pasta and pizza on offer, though this is an NYC landmark restaurant for woodfired pizza. Have had it before at the Union Square branch, but not this time. Friendly service. Worth a visit.

Our favourite restaurant visit in New York during our trip - good options, lovely pizza, big portions. We turned up without a booking, but they seated us immediately - the place was buzzing and had a nice feel about it - the food and service was great, very appreciated after a tough day seeing the big sights of the city.

The test of a good pizza is when both adults and children are equally happy after the meal. Great thin crust pizza for the whole family without breaking the bank. We really enjoyed it and would go again.

Patsy is a large chain of pizza in NYC. It is above average (in my opinion) but costs slightly more than the majority of pizza places. Definitely worth it, but nothing I would go out of my way for (for those touring NY)

My parents and I stopped in for supper while we were staying around the corner at the Hampton Manhattan/United Nations, and we were totally blown away by the pizza (pepperoni and grilled peppers!). Overall, our meal was a bit pricey but absolutely delicious. The service was also great— I read complaints in a few other reviews that servers were slow or inattentive, but this might be due to cultural differences, not a lack of professionalism. As someone who has traveled frequently to Italy, I've observed that Italian waitstaff may seem less friendly (and certainly less rushed) than their American counterparts, but this is typical of their culture and doesn't mean that they aren't good at what they do!

This was our family's favorite place to eat during our family trip to New York. We just loved it so much that we dined 3 times there during our 7 day holiday at the town. Restaurant was also just around the corner of our hotel. So if you have a craving for a good pizza with thin crust and freshest of the ingredients - this is your place for lovely and satisfying meal . Pepperoni pizza with extra mozzarella is just heavenly, best pizza that we had during our trip to big apple. The place is great in service and decor is cozy. Pasta is also done to reflection, one night we ordered family size bowl of pasta carbonara and it was so good. Highly recommend this place if you are in this neighborhood. 😊👍

Wonderful food and plenty of it. We were 20 people and ate family style and the pizza was excellent and the two types of pasta dishes were great as well as the salads. No one left hungry for sure.

Enjoyed a pepperoni pizza tonight at Patsy's on 2nd Ave. Excellent server (Ahri) great service an good food. Pizza is very large, New York style and worth the money.

Pizza was good, service fair, no complaints and no super praise. For two people, we found that a shared 17 inch pizza was more than adequate.

Everything you can ask for in Patsy's Pizzeria. Perfect low audio volume, and warm temperature in the eating area. There is a pleasant atmosphere and you can see the pizzas being prepared and cooked in the stone oven. I recommend the white pie pizza with sausage topping.

Our hotel recommended this place for a family style Italian restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our only complaint was our waitress. She just didn’t want to be there and paid no attention to us after she took our order. Too bad since everyone else was super helpful and the food delicious.

Party of 4 - was close to our hotel, so thought we would give it a try. We were seated promptly. However, from there it went down hill. Took a while to get waters at our table, took a while to get silverware as we were missing 2 place settings. We ordered pasta - it was just ok. Tasted just like Olive Garden to me, I was expecting more. Had to keep asking for water refills. It's not like they were busy - waitress was just standing around talking to other workers. Don't think I would come here again.

Amazing quality Italian food at great prices. Growing up in NY in a Neapolitan household you develop a taste for flavorful soups, fine sauces, and fresh pasta. I was delighted with the Pasta e' Fagioli with fresh bacon flavoring the soup. My main was a Rigatoni alla Vodka with bits of the fresh bacon. I return to NY from California a week each month to be rewarded with NY quality Italian dinners. I was very happy with my new "find"of an 83 year old tradition! Buon Appetito🎉

This is our local pizza place! Thin crust, big sizes, nice salads. This is where we go when we want a local pizza. Our whole family can always find something they enjoy here.

Staying at Westin Grand Central and this place is less than 5 mins away. Went twice during our 5 night stay, need I say more! Great staff, good draft beers, amazing pizza, lovely atmosphere, spotlessly clean, brick pizza oven and you can watch your pizza being made. Very reasonably priced for location too. Loved it.

If you have a craving for a good pizza with thin crust and freshest of the ingredients - this is your place for lovely and satisfying meal . I came here on recommendation of my family here and was happy to have great lunch . The place is great in service , decor and for the wholesome food . The menu is simple - we chose our toppings of vegetables on thin crust and little less on the cheese . The salads are fresh and inviting . pasta is also done to reflection . Reservations needed on weekend evenings . Any pizza here will cost you $20-$ 25 bracket and it was enough for us 3 . Highly recommended . Great location .

Stopped here on a whim, and they easily accommodated 8 for a late lunch. Waiters were fantastic, food was served quickly. We tried three different pizzas and all were very good. Would stop here again!

Meal here was very fresh and the best pizza I've ever had. Decent service and not a long wait for food despite being a popular place. Great location and very accesible from Manhattan and downtown New York area. Pizza was so good we ordered another one to takeaway for breakfast.

Patsy's is an old favorite in NYC and I was meeting a friend for a quick lunch. I had the Spaghetti and Clams and was deeply disappointed. Absolutely tasteless, like it was out of a can. My friend had the "famous pizza" and also was deeply disappointed. He said the crust was blah. Not what he remembered. A lot of changes since the old man is gone. The kids just don't have it like Patsy did. Sad. It was a really great place.

First Christmas in New York with 5 other family members. We stopped in for some food before going to a show, we have been to this particular restaurant several years ago and it did not disappoint! 3 pizza pies between 6 was ideal portion size for sharing! Pizza was delicious and great service. Short walk from GC terminal!

Our server was friendly and the pizza was good. In particular, the caprese salad was uniquely plated (see photo) and delicious. Unfortunately, it was hard to truly enjoy the meal because there was a child - who seemed to be a relative of the owner or another employee - watching videos on a cell phone at a very high volume. It was so loud, we couldn't believe no one who worked there made an attempt to lower the volume or move the child. There were only a few diners in the restaurant at that time as it was a late afternoon lunch. I wanted to politely address the issue, but by the time our server came back to our table, our meal was nearly finished and it seemed pointless to mention it.

My wife and I went there for dinner on a Saturday evening. I recommend reservations, as the place does fill up quickly. We were seated promptly and the waitstaff took our drink order right away. The food is good basic Italian fare, with an emphasis on the pizza, which they are supposed to be known for. We split a nice salad which was plentiful, and ordered an eggplant Parmesan and a regular pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese. The pizza arrive hot. There were a few strips of basil on it (why do NY pizza places skimp on this?), and the mushrooms were fresh, not canned. Good thing to order the extra cheese, otherwise it would have been a bit skimpy. The taste of the thin crust was not bad, but I prefer a bit less "airy" crust. The sauce and cheese were very good. The Eggplant was also very good. Fairly thin slices of eggplant in a tasty tomato sauce and yummy cheese. Also, I should mention we did get the eggplant/zucchini appetizer with the garlic yogurt sauce. This was lightly breaded and fried. Not bad, but the sauce was a bit heavy for the thin and tasty slices. Service started out very good, but then it was hard to find the server (the place got very busy). However, the bus staff kept the water glasses full (yay!). However, the staff were very cheerful and friendly, and they got everything right. Total for the two of us including tip and 2 beers was about $85. Not too bad for mid-town Manhattan.

Had dinner at Patsy's a few times and found the service consistently good and the food was also good. Staff was welcoming and friendly which makes all the difference. Pizza was good too!

Before we left for the airport, my husband and I needed a place within walking distance from our hotel and we had a taste for pizza. Concierge recommended Patsy's. VERY crowded and super noisy but we were able to get a table. Service was good and pizza was very good.

Really lovely pizza. Friendly woman greeting us. Tasty pasta with seafood. Lasagne was not really to my taste- very little meat and a lot of pasta and white sauce. It was very heavy. A good experience and a nice restaurant.

I just ate the worst pizza of my life in this restaurant, with staff who were quite rude. Every single one of the ingredients was really poor quality - red onions (not good on a pizza), overly salted olives, really thick layer of ricotta smeared on so it wasn't even hot, and prosciutto that tasted like old rubber. To top it off it wasn't even cooked through. When the waiter asked if I wanted to take it home I said no because I could barely stomach it the first time. To make matters worse, I gave an extremely generous tip of over 20% because being a gullible visitor to NYI thought that was the norm. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and when I got up to leave neither of the two waiters even bothered to look up said thank you - even though they took my 50 dollar bill and heard me say I didn't want the change. I'm kicking myself because I initially felt sorry for the waiters (which is always why I try to tip well), but with service and food like that they deserve every bad review they get. Seriously - if you think this is good pizza or proper Italian food you have a very low standard, there are much better places close by that have a far superior quality of food at a much better price, try Osteria Laguna on 209 East / 42nd. The only reason I guess this place survives is because it gets unsuspecting visitors like me giving it a try. Bad mistake and worst dining experience I've ever had in a (so called) Italian.

We stumbled upon this place by chance after a long day of sightseeing and had a good meal. Good, nowhere near excellent, and the service was patchy. The hostess who seated us didn't have the slightest clue about the differences between two of the three pizza pies on the menu, so we had to wait to ask our server. That was the first of a number of times we had to wait for her, and the place wasn't crowded by any means. The hostess, right next to us as we were at a nice front window table (no sarcasm, it really was great to continue people- and traffic-watching), was completely devoted to standing next to her station and pasting on her smile for the next diners to walk in. An attentive busboy got the job done for us. I thought the list of pizza toppings was sparse and expensive. There are thirteen toppings on the menu, two of which are extra sauce and extra cheese. Each topping is three or four dollars no matter what pizza size you order and if you want to do different toppings on one half vs the other you have to pay for two full toppings. I actually asked why they did that and was told it's because that is the way they did it there. Take it or leave it (our server didn't say that but that was the meaning), so we took it and enjoyed the pizzas when they came, and our second beers when they eventually came. In my experience here, I am sure you'll find excellent NYC pizza pie and get better service somewhere else.

Handy for the nearby Hampton Inn. Friendly service, very good New York style pizza and pastas on nearby tables looked good.

Visited twice while in New York which is saying something as we'd usually go somewhere different each night. First visit was relaxed and great food; pizza, pasta, salads, no complaints. Second visit was the night before the marathon and everybody was out carbo-loading! but although now more noisy and busy, the service was excellent and was the food. There was a large children's birthday party upstairs and yet everything ran smoothly. Orders taken promptly and served quickly; food fab - chicken marsala was fantastic. I'd recommend and go back!

We placed an online order for two pizzas and two salads. Plenty of food for the four of us. Salad was fresh and the dressing was in a separate container. The basic pizza was divine. I was really tempted to eat a 3rd slice. Not quite that traditional NYC slice, but exquisite in its own way.

When dining alone, go to the bar! Great way of meeting and befriending the staff. I spent a few weeks in NY on business and this became a beacon of friendly service and good food. The pizzas were great with toppings I had not seen in years. Salads and vegeterians entrees were great. I came several times during my stay and was never really disappointed. Nothing best to dine with a regular and being welcome like a local. Service, Maitre D'O's recognition - are a main part of the dining experience. I will come back.

Patsy’s is a solid pizzeria with options for vegetarians. Service was attentive and the selection excellent.

Sure there are lots of big name pizza joints in NYC, but Patsy's, although not as well known brings the goods. Friendly service, great crusty bread rolls, and a thinner wood fired crust pizza. The 13 inch was perfect for two. Plus a salad we split. You can't go wrong here.

Actually ate at the one on First in East Harlem but it’s not listed on TripAdvisor. Food was excellent, drinks great and the service was awesome! Older restaurant. Lots of great pictures on the wall. Love the one of Frank (Sinatra!)

Good food, wonderful service and nice surroundings. Patsy’s positive reputation has been earned and is accurate. Would go here anytime!

Came here this evening with my girlfriend looking for a quick meal after the Yankees game. We had a half and half pizza of marguerita and pepperoni. The pizza had an excellent thin crust and was very tasty. At $25 for 17" it was also very good value. My only criticisms would be that I think it works better when the basil is cooked in with the pizza rather than just placed on top. I would definitely visit again in the future!

Very busy but not crowded. I had the Arugula Salad with grilled chicken...the salad dressing was awesome...the grilled chicken was awesome...the service was just good. Reasonably priced for the amount you get...saw a lot of people needing take home bags.

After a day of walking nearly eight miles around town, we wanted a restaurant close to our hotel, the Hampton Inn Grand Central. The hotel recommended Patsy's, so we walked a few blocks to it. Nice little white tablecloth Italian place, we had drinks and dinner (fish and pizza) and it was good. Reasonably priced for midtown, decent service. Not too crowded for a Friday night, so no wait. Fit the bill perfectly.

If you want delicious italian food nice ambiance and decor go to Patsy;s There branzino melts in your mouth and the chicken parm is tasty. Service is good- you can eat in or take out.

We ordered their NYC thin crust style pizza and the crust was terribly disappointing. It was completely soggy from the second inch from the crust inwards, nothing resembling a Grimaldi's or Lombardi's NYC pizza. The Linguine Clams dish was average, but overall, we overspent for poor quality food. And to think we tried getting in several evenings during the week only to be turned away by the off work crowds only to get a table on Saturday night with no waiting because the entire dining room was empty. Shows location makes a diff when you're the only one around. Avoid if you're looking for authentic, crispy, thin crusty NYC style pizza...the 24hr hole in the wall by the slice food options would be better than this place.

Although it had pizzeria in the name, I had pasta, the mushroom pappardelle, which was excellent. They also had family sized versions of the pasta dishes, and I saw a lot of families there on a Sunday night, although they all seemed to be having varieties rather than one dish. If this was at home it would be a top restaurant- but in NYC, there doesn't seem to be any poor restaurants- or at least any that last. I would definitely go again if I was here longer

This pizzeria has good food, reasonable service. This place be quite busy, so reservations might be a good idea. The pizza was very good but if you put multiple ingredients on it, the price can easily rise to $30+ dollars for a 13 inch pizza. Glass of Chianti can run $12/glass.

Came here for a late lunch after visiting the Museum of Natural History. The place felt very understaffed. Our waiter was very quiet and practically tossed our menus on our table upon arrival. The bathrooms were in a state. The pizza was quick to come out. Good sizes. Unfortunately they went overboard with the toppings, we asked for just two toppings which crowded the pizza causing it to flop which meant loosing your toppings on the plate. The pizza sauce was watery. Much better pizza elsewhere in my opinion.

Seven of us met in NYC to celebrate birthdays for 5 of us. We came to Patsy's for dinner and had a very enjoyable evening. Everyone enjoyed their meal and drinks and the prices were very reasonable.

After a long day of walking in New York Sunday September 1st, I decided to stop at Patsy’s at 5.53 pm and get a takeaway pasta back to my Hotel. I have Celiac disease and are therefore allergic to gluten. I was at this restaurant 3 days earlier with my wife and had good glutenfree food. This afternoon it was less than 10 people in the restaurant. I told the girl in the bar, (where you order takeway) 3 times that the pasta had to bee glutenfree, which she confirmed every time. When I got the food I asked once more, and got the same confirmation. Earlier that day I had no food. Only water. The story is that approximately 30 minutes after I ate their «glutenfree food» I couldn’t leave the restroom for about 5 hours. I was minutes away from having to call an ambulance. The next 3 days was also completely destroyed for me. I tried to contact the restaurant via the form on their web-page. No response via phone or e-mail. I am quite sure that they mixed up the pasta on purpose as the first restaurant in over 15 years. So anyone with an allergen, for your own sake, dont even go near this restaurant. It might have fatal consequenses for you.

We ate here the same night as a group of 30-odd were upstairs (a basketball team, I think) and another group of 16 were downstairs. And still the service was decent and the food prompt. We enjoyed it. Worth coming here rather than trying to fight for a table and struggle to converse somewhere in the Grand Central food terminal, which had been our original plan.

Nothing awful, nothing special to this neighborhood Italian. Five of us ordered a variety of Italian standards. Nothing was special, the pizza, the Caesar salad, the chicken parm, nothing was noteworthy. Service was good and the bill was reasonable.

We were all very tired after our day in the city - Patsy's was the perfect solution for dinner. It was extremely close to our hotel & no wait! The pizza was very good - thin crust - not much cheese, but an ample amount of toppings. Very tasty! The fried calamari was ok. Not sure I'd get that again, but would definitely return for the pizza!

Had dinner at Patsy's Pizzeria on a recent visit to NYC. Was not impressed by the service, nor the food. Our server did not come to the table to check on us, after we were given our entrees by another person on staff. We would have liked more bread, but weren't given the opportunity to ask for it. Also, be aware that the size of the portions can vary. I ordered the Chicken Piccata, and felt the portion was fairly small. The young lady at the table next to us, ordered the same entrée, and when it was brought to their table, it had to be twice the size of my portion! Would I recommend this restaurant to others, or go to this restaurant again? No.

We arrived at 10 and the restaurant was not full. Service was slow and at 11 they started cleaning, turned off the TV, turned on bright lights as they were saying: please leave! Pizza is nothing special

Had dinner with my family, my wife and son. The table was too small that we could barely fit our plates on it. Ordered Cheese pizza, it was good but didn't like the Rigatoni and the side dish Sauteed Escarole and Artichoke. Didn't meet our expectations.

We ordered from Patsy's the night we arrived in the city. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Manhattan Grand Central right around the corner. Our pizza was delicious - 17in. cheese. They do not have breadsticks but they do have rolls. They were pretty good - soft on the inside. We picked up our online order from the bartender and he was very friendly/helpful. I would recommend this place. We will eat here again.

Pizza was amazing. Caprese salad was really good also. Would highly recommend. We got the classic cheese with basil. You won’t be disappointed.

Restaurant was 70% full, I ordered penne a la Vodka. I have to wait 40 minutes for a non Italian pasta ! No taste, No excuse for the delay.. The Chianti was not a good one. The 2 tables around me complains about test … i confirm…I definitely would not recommend.

We had a great meal at Patsy's! Great pizza and the pasta dishes were fabulous too! We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was delightful!!
Great pizza
So glad I took a chance and ignored the negative reviews! Stayed at the Lexington and was looking for an affordable Italian restaurant. Shared a pizza and salad plus a bottle of yummy wine with my husband. Fast, efficient and friendly service, would definitely recommend.
