The pizza was the best pizza we’ve had and we go out for wood fired pizza very frequently. We visited with family that lived in Naples, Italy for a few years who said it was just as good as what they had in Naples. Highly recommend trying it.

We were looking for great pizza and this did not disappoint. Two brothers running this place were very friendly and the atmosphere was really relaxed. A little gem and no one standing outside trying to coax you in!!

My boyfriend and I were hungry, but we did not actually want to visit some of the Italian place in little Italy because it is such a tourist attraction where the price and quality does not always fits. But we saw this cute place and went in there, and we did not regret it. Fast and smiley service, and we had our pizzas within minutes and they were so tasty. Definitely a visit worth!

Great staff, food fantastic, portions large, share a starter would be my advice. My son says save room for the Nutella pizza

First class service and very good food. Very good pizza with top quality ingredients. It's a good option.

We ate pizza, mix fried fish and meatballs. It was good but the big mistake was to have the same meatballs sauce in the fish dish (maybe is better to ad some lemon or tratar sauce). Very nice people. A byte of italy on NYC

Margherita, the standard name of one of Italy and the world's number one Pizza brand - and Margherita, Pizzeria Napoletana, located right in the middle of Manhattan's Little Italy, are synonymous with each other - and one of the best Pizza and Southern Italian restaurants you'll find in Lower-Manhattan. This father/son ownership hails from Southern Italy and New York of Italian descent, respectively. The night we were there, so were they, and their hospitality was infectious. It's not long before either senior or junior would approach the table and tell tales of Italy and life, in between recommendations and suggestions from the menu. What I loved about this quaint slice of Italy was the wide choice of pizza toppings, the wine and beer selections, and the opportunity to dine al fresco in a semi-external patio...utterly charming to watch the world go by - at least Grand Street and watching all the sightseers and tourists alike stroll by! Now the weather is warm, see Chinatown and Little Italy in all its splendor and go on, try Margherita, Pizzeria Napoletana. You won't be disappointed! Just ask for Giuseppe (the son) in Italian or English. His charm will sweep you off your feet - and the food ain't bad either! ###

Delicious pasta and desserts!! Cozy place and you don't wait long for the food. Really nice service.

Good food, very friendly employees, cool decoration, good pizzaiolo, good drinks, fast service, not expensive for the quality u get.

This was the spot we picked (based pretty much on TA reviews) during our visit to Little Italy. Great service and pizza and we sat outside on a nice day.

Five of us, including a nine-year-old, went to Margherita for an early and light dinner— everyone of us loved it. Our grandson is a very picky eater. He asked for pasta with butter and parmesan—and declared it perfect! He wanted a glass of milk—no problem! The rest of us shared an outstanding Parmigiana di melenzane in tegamino—eggplant parm, sold as an appetizer but very generously sized. Rucola salads were visually beautiful and perfectly dressed. The pizza of the day was creative, delicious and topped with a large and excellent Burrata. We washed all down with some house wines of excellent quality. Service was outstanding. Ambience is warm and charming—especially on a cold and dreary winter night. We're all looking forward to going back!

The ambiance were very good. The food was good. Definitely a good joint for coal fired pizza. Gives you a good vibe.

Great place. Friendly and relaxed. Really nice food, pizza particularly good. A change from the many Italian places in this area, less formulaic.

Rubber pizza, paid for in gold, bad quality / price ratio, staff not Italian and rude, very disappointed, not recommended.

This was located just in front of our hotel so we thought we would pop in for a quick meal, not expecting much. We we're so surprised! A very cute and cosy place with great atmosphere. We ordered the antipasti plate and were so surprised by the size and what you got for the price you paid. Pretty cheap, very tasty and great service!

On my self-discovery trip through the streets of Manhattan, I met the famous little Italy and here in this wonderful and welcoming place something that reminded me so much of those days in Italy. Gnoquis with meat balls fabulous and the service attentive, fast and practical, ready to keep walking. -no wi-fi -just one restrom

Nice aubergine pasta here, with a delicate and delicious sauce and good value for NYC. It was nice to see that unlike a lot of Little Italy eateries, this restaurant wasn’t pestering passers by and instead let its reputation do the talking. Pizza was good too.

One of the best pizza's in Little Italy. Very cozy place. The owner is a very fine person. The pizzas are the best! Visited 3 times!

A very nice pizza in Little Italy. Unfortunately they don’t have wood owen license but they use some small wood pieces to add the aroma. The quality is fair enough and the service was excellent. They offered me to try two different types of beer and to customize my Calzone. It is a couzy, quite place.

The food was really good but they wouldn't split the bill and we had to split silver pot and pay him with a card

An authentic experience...the service was excellent and the food delightful..the pizza was unbelievable and the accompanying salad was also excellent...well worth a visit

The staff was fantastic. Fun and friendly guys who truly cared about what we thought of everything. They knew the menu well, made recommendations and came back to ask how we liked this or that. Prices seemed about average for the menu and area. The dessert was amazing, and beautiful presentation.

Amazing food for a regular price. All the ingredients are fresh. Very friendly people. Tasting Italy in the middle of New York.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch respite. The service was excellent. No rush but available as well. My wife and I shared a pie and it was plenty for the two of us. The menu is full of Italian favorites. I wish we would have had time to go back. We dined outside. We had a prosciutto and mushroom pie. I would recommend searching this place out.

We stayed at the NobleDen Hotel in Manhattan and fortunately had the Peps on Grand opposite. A cool place with even cooler and mega friendly staff and fantastic Italian food. The lasagna was the best we have ever eaten - in a different style than we know it in Europe, but soooooo delicious. A must to eat in Little Italy. Thank you for letting us be your guests - Ilona and Mike

The little Italy area is generally over priced, but this place has good pizza. I had the pizza that has prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. It was excellent. The house red wine was also very good and reasonable priced.

Good solution! Cesar salad excellent, pizzas good pasta good, .. paccheri with sauce a little too airy but good. Good restaurant!

Soothingly unexcited place with nice service and very good food at, by New York standards, reasonable prices. The highlight for me were the pizzas prepared in the Neapolitan variant with a high airy edge and topped with classic ingredients. At the end, you should definitely not miss the excellent espresso.

Very nice and modern restaurant. We liked the food (salad and pizza for us) and the staff was super friendly. Around the corner from Little Italy and a good alternative to the tourist restaurants there.

The mozzarella sticks and Margie Rita pizza were great. We expected the restaurant to be busier during the lunch hour and were pleasantly pleased to find a waiting table in Little Italy’s #1 pizza restaurant.

Visited on a Friday night with adults and teenagers. Our service was excellent as was the food we ordered. We had appetizers, pizza and desserts and all were excellent. It’s a small place but we were able to get last minute reservations for 6. Not NY style pizza but excellent nonetheless. Recommended.

They’ve replaced the Marguerite restaurant, if you ever went there. We did, and miss the old place. But the new owners have expanded the space and kept the same feel. The brick oven pizzas are mouth wateringly delicious, served on a raised rack stand. Totally authentic.

While staying in New York we ate at this fine Italian restaurant / bar. food was excellent and reasonably priced and great atmosphere, would highly recommend a visit

Came across this little place after having visited Brooklyn Bridge. Pizza was lovely along with truffle fries and drinks. Nice friendly place with chatty staff.

Absolutely fantastic food and great vibes! Loved the Pizza Burrata and the service! Tiramisu was also very delicious!

Thé pizza was excellent, just like in Napoli with perfect ingredients. The staff was friendly too. Excellent experience.

Delicious pizza, crispy and thin. Nice place for family, couple or solo travelers. Restroom was pretty clean. Staff so lovely. I absolutely recommend. Worth the visit, also in the heart of little Italy.

With 70s and 80s tunes playing in the background, this casual place is a GREAT stop for pizza. The family running it dashed around speaking in Italian, my server was friendly and attentive. Wine list isn’t long by Montelpucciano was ok, tap water good and plentiful. I had the buffalo mozzarella pizza woh arugula, San marzano tomatoes, and prosciutto — really yummy and the crust had an incredible texture. A little speedy for pizza and wine but not too terrible for nyc. I would recommend.

The pizza was very good! The Diavola is def recomended! Perfectly cooked! Our waiter was friendly and informative. Service was on point & she gave us a wonderful dinning experience. We will def return as our friends were very happy. Thank you.

With all choices of Chinese and Italian in that area my wife and I made an impromptu Decision for pizza. We were not disappointed with the sausage and broccoli rabe pizza. We also shared the meatballs which were great. Nice quaint pizza spot.

The food was very good. Even the Costa Rica waiter gave us a wonderful experience. We asked the waiter for the bill. He replied that we should ask his boss. When we received the bill he stated that is was including tax and tip. Including tax: perfect. Including tip/service charge: not good. Haha 18%. Yes we should pay a tip between 10-20%. But as a Customer you have to decide for yourself. So we mentioned this. He was angry, we were rude he said. The funny thing. He made two bills. The other was there already waiting for us! Tourist trap!

We visited this restaurant twice, we had to go back for the pizza again!! The staff here are really friendly and were very welcoming to us, absolute pleasure to be there

This place was in front of our hotel, so we decided to try it. We took one pizza margherita and one plate of pasta. The pizza was very good, we will be back...

We were really happy about food, wine and service. All was fabulous. ‘Till we asked for the check and decided not to pay the whole amount of 18% service tip, since we thought 105$ was more than enough for 2 pizzas and a bit of wine. I wouldn’t go back “cause all were bad faces and all became edge and unfriendly just for $5 less at the check

Whilst walking past we saw the Trip Advisor signs and thought it's worth a try...lucky to get a table in this small but cosy establishment and overall worth it....friendly service and staff knowledgeable about their food, went over the bill in detail which included tip....would certainly visit again .

A nice restaurant on the border between Little Italy and Chinatown. Very nice waitress, quick service and good food and drink at affordable price. Highly recommended!

After wondering around and see all the expensive restaurants, we found this great little place. Amazing pizza and amazing Bolognese. We gambled and won!

Wandered into this small, but charming place for an early dinner. Every aspect of the place makes you feel welcome and part of the family. After a couple of glasses of house wine, the arugula salad and the diviola pizza, we were in Napoli heaven. This place is truly a gem!

We filtered here in TripAdvisor child-friendly Italian restaurants in Little Italy but when we arrived, kids are welcome but the aisle is too narrow and they don't have high chairs so definitely it's not child-friendly as indicated. We had to give up and find another place more suitable. No doubt the food would be great, maybe another time.

Stopped by over the weekend and I was impressed. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had a margherita pizza and it did not disappoint. I would come back to this place again.

We tried the Pizza Margarita and Prosciutto. They were both perfect with the crust done as we usually have in Italy. Very tasty! Service was as good. The place is small, but with both in and outdoor seating.

Super awesome pizza! The atmosphere was very nice and the service was very friendly. The prices seemed a little salty at first but were justified by the great pizza.

Fantastic Pizza, friendly service. Came with our granddaughter and had a great lunch. Recommend the Prochuitto pizza!

In this area you find a lot of restaurants. But as a 70 plus couple we will eat safe and good. We went to this restaurant and discovered that this is what we want. Quality of food perfect. To share a pizza no problem. The restaurant people do what they can to make it comfortable for us. Here you can eat what you want the price is correct and the survice perfect.

Reservations required for this fabulous restaurant. Very warm welcome, the waitresses were very nice. The pizzas are really excellent like in Italy, especially the 4 cheeses. Good atmosphere in this restaurant with background music. Good value for money. The price of the wine is just right $50. No fuss in the service but the main thing is in the plate and the kindness of the staff.

Although we went out of our way to visit this place because trip advisor had listed it as NY best pizza.... none of us actually ordered pizza! I had an absolutely lovely salad though (which satisfies my craving after a week of pizzas and burgers), pasta was ordered, and a calzone and a “sandwich”. The meals were lovely, perfect portion sizes, reasonably priced, service was impeccable and it was topped off with a lovely spritzer cocktail. Definitely worth the visit 😊

Great pizza and fantastic service! Arturo never stopped bustling, keeping on top of everything inside and out! Will definitely be back before we head home!

small restaurant, excellent service, good choice of menu options. We all had pizza as we had been busy around the city all day. Extremely tasty, my wife said her pizza was one of the best she's tasted.

A bit pricey considering the size of the pizza in my opinion. However, the pizza was pretty darn good. I would go here again. Check out it out when you are in Little Italy.

We stopped by as we were walking through Little Italy, not even super hungry and this place is phenomenal. Guiseppe the owner says its all about the water. Well, I asked him to ship it to CA as it was the best Prochiutto and arugula pizza I have had besides in Italy. I would for sure go again and maybe he can send me some dough fed ex to Santa Barbara.

This place in Little Italy ranks quite well on TripAdvisor for places to eat so we thought it was a safe bet for lunch. We were seated quickly but when the food arrived the pizza base was very salty, burnt in places and we’d finished it by the time our side orders of fries arrived. There is only one toilet which is located at the back by the bins and kitchen area. Wish we’d kept on walking and found somewhere else instead.

Very good food! Lemon spaghetti is excellent and pizza is good quality. We were served immediately and the staff is very friendly!

In the family after a trip to little Italy we looked for a place to eat pizza in the area. Very welcoming local, quick service. We ordered a pizza daisy each (there are 4) a coke and a coffee. New York prices (21$ la margherita ....) but I still Recommendation a stop for an interesting pizza.

Great little place in Little Italy Food mainly pizza but perfect Calzone Service very friendly Would recommend to everyone

Great starter with the Calamari and then a pizza which was just perfect. Matched it with a Blood Orange Soda and finished off with an Afogato

The actual name of this venue on Grand is Margherita NYC; and it's a gem. Like most native Italians from NY/NJ, I am also picky about my pizza; but these guys did not disappoint. Only open for about 8 months so far, Margherita NYC is a quaint and cozy spot with old school flavors and new school flair. I hope they're able to give the long standing pizza places in the area a run for their money. The guys running the place all seemed to be from mainland Italy and were all very knowledgeable about the menu and different flavor combinations. Like I said, the food (which was fantastic) came out and made you feel as though you just pulled it out of a brick oven in the countryside of Naples. Flavor profiles of Italian food vary by region; these are more Neapolitan. The old-school flavors are complemented by the youthful environment and younger staff. The guys were very conversational, eager to meet and interact with their guests, cared greatly for their opinion and valued all feedback. There was also a tiny bar in the back which served some authentic Italian beer on tap and various regional wines. It is certainly a great place to catch a soccer match during the day and come back for a cozy dinner at night; best of both worlds. If you're looking to mix things up in Little Italy be sure to stop by. You're patronage would be appreciated, and you'll leave feeling like a part of their tiny, spunky family. We'll certainly be back soon for the Diavola. Overall 8.5/10. Ciao amici ..

Starting with the negatives: 1. The bathroom wasn't exactly very clean and it was a mixed one for both sexes, but it seems to be standard in NY. 2. The prices (which aren't cheap) are surprisingly indicated without including the VAT (tax), which you only discover once the bill comes at the end!! This is, in my opinion, fooling the customer. And on top of that we had to hear the waitress informing us that "tip is also not included"... On the positive side: 1. Service was ok. 2. The pizzas were indeed good! I guess this is the most important part for most of you. It had been a long time since I had a decent pizza, so it was kind of worth it.

Fabulous ! Nice place, lovely server. Pizzas to eat without hunger until the end of the night…. The pastas are the same and they play good music.

We sat at the bar to eat as we’d not booked. All the team were perfectly attentive with just the right amount of chat. Food was brilliant. We shared meatballs as a starter - they’re light but meaty with a rich sauce. The homemade bread was awesome. Pizzas were great, house red went down a treat, and the Ommegang beer full of flavour. Great place.

Stopped in for a quick pizza while touring Little Italy. Large Stone oven offers you wonderful fresh hot pizzas. Great little cozy restaurant, with the home mode feel of visiting Nona. Stop in, feel like part of the family and try one of their amazing Pizzas. Would definitely eat here again.

Our family (we have two boys aged 9 and 11) ate here twice in a 4-day trip recently. The food was tasty and the service was great.

Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Diavola pizza was very good. Pasta was good, a bit spicy for our taste. Cesar salad was ok.

This was not the first time that we had dinner at Margherita. In Little Italy Margherita is not a tourist trap, it is the real deal. Pizza Margherita as you would have in Naples. All the dishes are original. The taste of homemade food. And it's not just pizza. One of the few places in New York where waiters, cook and owner speak and are Italian. Giuseppe, the owner, always greets you at the door with a disarming smile. Worth returning.

I consider myself as a ‘esperto di pizza’ and after a long walk me and my son ended in what’s left of Little Italy, we went in this cosy place, were welcomed in a sort of genuine italian (NY-style), ordered in italian and got two great pizza’s that tasted as it came straight from Brandi! (But to a NY Bloomberged price, though).

Beste Pizza, Tiramisu göttlich, Cappuccino auch als Decafinato, Kellner kann italienisch. Besser als die ganzen Italiener ringsum! Bezahlbare Preise, Portionen in Ordnung. (Mai 2022) Best pizza, tiramisu divine, cappuccino also known as Decafinato, waiter can speak Italian. Better than all the Italians around! Affordable prices, portions okay.

Really good Neapolitan pizza, quality raw materials and a beautiful wood-fired oven. Wide choice of beers, including craft ones.

Next to the historic Ferrara in Little Italy you can spot this small but intimate restaurant. Do not call it Pizzeria as they serve great Antipasti (starters) and Pasta, not least also home made desserts. The pizza is as authentic as in the Amalfi coast, real wood fired oven and careful attention to details. The restaurant is great for a special occasion in a casual environment but also fit for a group as it happened to us yesterday. Enjoy the experience.

Best pizza ever? Fantastic and authentic wood fired stone owen Pizza. Maybe the best pizza I ever had. Just go there !

We were out all day on a scavenger hunt through Little Italy, China Town, and Tenament Museum. 5 10 year old girls, exhausted and starving Restaurant was able to accommodate us immediately. The food was fantastic. Great pizzas, appetizers, meatballs and pasta. The service was great I would definitely go back.

We came here for lunch 28 December. We had to wait 40 mins (no problems) as we had read the reviews of how good this place was. We were not disappointed! I ordered the meatballs for starters and they were big and delicious - packed with flavour. I still had room for a pizza, which again was fresh, melt in the mouth tastastic! What a taste sensation this place is. The waitresses were fab and they were very busy. Well done guys. This is a fantastic restaurant. I wish you all the best and will be back when in NYC later this year.

Visited New York for the first time this month and my fiancé and I passed by this little pizzeria which looks really cute since it’s so small and rustic. The food definitely exceeded our expectations! The mozzarella tasted like they had just finished stretching homemade mozzarella in the kitchen, perfect! The pizza, I have no words. Crispy crust, cherry tomatoes tasted like they were picked from a backyard vegetable garden, the cheese was just the right amount. We also tried the quattro formaggi white pizza (four cheese) which was incredible how you can taste all 4 cheeses! Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, parmigiano, and pecorino! Talking about it is making my mouth water again! I highly recommend this place as a MUST for anyone visiting New York or even living there!

First night in NYC and we stumbled across this pizza place next to Ferarra's pastry shop. Great service, nice waiters....

Amazing pizza (better than most of the pizzas had in Italy), friendly staff and this location ! A warm welcome from Little Italy NYC

If you are around and craving some good pizza, this is the place for you. Straight forward Italian cuisine, with one difference..... its crazy delicious. The staff is very polite and service is fast. Buon Appetito

We came across this place by accident while wandering about looking for a place to eat with our kids. The staff were really friendly and patient with our children and the pizza was fantastic. Very light and didn’t weigh heavy on the stomach!! Delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Stopped for a pizza this past weekend, it was really good. We ordered a Margherita pie to share. Will go back again in a heartbeat!

We went here after many reviews of how good it was and a few recommendations . But we were left really disappointed . The food was okay but the staff were really rude and the the tables dirty. The service was slow and we had to ask several times for our meal to come. I don't think this is the best Italian in Little Italy as some of the reviews said. Really disappointed with this place .

The 5 star reviews are all accurate. If we could give “6 stars” it deserves it. I lived in Naples, Italy from 1998-2000 and this place is exact to that. This is just off the main Mulberry strip (like 30 feet) and a must see.

I was with my family, we are French and used to pizzeria. Honestly, the service was really good, not too long not too short. The waiters were really friendly and comprehensive. We ordered 4 different pizzas, and they were really good! I highly recommend this restaurant!

My first visit to NYC and we were looking for a small traditional Italian I'm little Italy. Brilliant pizza, cooked as you'd expect in a traditional pizza oven. Fantastic pale ale, and killer coffee. Couldn't fault the service - would visit again if not flying back to the UK.

Very good pizza. The tasted one with mushrooms and imported ham was very successful. There are both inside and outside tables.

We read about this place for great pizza and happened to find it after a busy morning/afternoon sightseeing. Wow, those recommendations were not wrong. Delicious fresh pizza with a light and fluffy charred crust and generous toppings. The pizzas are 12" but we shared a prosciutto and mushroom with a caeser salad and it was delicious. $53 for this and 2 Coca-Cola's which we thought was good value for this quality. Great friendly service too 👍

I should have know better. We were staying on edge of Little Italy and in a rush. The night before we had had the most amazing Malaysian food next door. (Nyonya) We were starving and in a hurry to catch our train. So I had my suspicious by the location and underwhelming name. But, the menus looked cool and I heard Italian accents so maybe! We order a margherita pizza. It was one they make with buffalo mozzarella. We get the pie very quickly. I took one bite and the entire crust but for the very edge was soaking wet with moisture. I refused to eat anymore. The soggy texture was similar to my 5.th grace school cafeteria pizza. I told the waitress I’m going to pay but this pizza was awful. Soaking wet. Her response: “that’s how it is with that pizza. The cheese has more moisture.” I told her I know some cheese has more moisture but you can still make a non soaking wet crust. I turned it over and it was rubbery and glistening. The manager comes by. I tell him the same thing. He says “that’s how it is. More moisture.” I told him it sucked. He offered to make another one and I said we had to go. I paid for the pizza. I didn’t like his excuses and what a shame such a pizza being served in nyc.

Love this place, we are visiting from the UK and wanted a authentic pizza. We found a little gem. Service was very friendly and service quick. Loved the decor and my French fries with truffle oil and Parmesan was to die for!

Delicious food excellent service and great atmosphere. Next door is a gelato shop. I will return for the lemon pasta! Wonderful place to eat at!

We visited this restaurant with friends who live in New York, it was their favourite Italian restaurant in the city. It is a smallish restaurant, the menu is not extensive but that is really not a problem. The pizzas are cooked in a proper pizza oven fresh to order. One of our friends requested a "special" pizza, one they were happy to make up for us and it was fabulous. The wine list is small but again not a problem with drinks varying from low cost to mid range and the highest priced wine (that I recall) was $60 for the bottle which was very reasonable compared to many of the venues in NYC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it is surrounded by other Italian restaurants it is worth looking out for this small restaurant and definitely go for the pizza, and even order one of your own concoctions, i'm sure it will be great

Yummy pizza and fantastic arugula salad with shaved parm! Very friendly staff!! Visiting my niece and found this place on line. Reasonable $$, very cozy and good people watching.

Superb doesn't do it justice. Great service. Best pasta and sauce since Tuscany. The tiramisu was light and savory. My son's is the best, however this not far behind. Can't wait to go back. Well worth the trip. Enjoy!

We visit NYC a few times a year, and we always make sure to hit this fantastic restaurant. Quaint and cozy, the service is always exceptional. And the food is like being transported to Italy for a brief moment. Pizzas are all delicious and perfectly prepared, as are the appetizers. I have yet to try the pasta, because I can't ever seem to turn down that pizza, but I'll be there next weekend and I'll be sure to switch it up!

Fantastic pizza, hard to find a great woodfire pizza around & this was as authentic as being in Napoli.

This place has good review but not sure why, After a long wait we had a table, took ages before we seen a waiter who was grumpy and just took our order we also asked several times for tap water what after the 3 time came. Took a long time 40min before we had our food pizza was good but the whole experience was not good. We tipped accordingly to the service what made the waiter even more grumpy No goodbye nothing

My sons birthday- it was great Tiramisu to celebrate him on the house. Including singing by the hole restaurant. Top pizza + super Service

We made an online booking for the 20th January 2026 prior to our arrival in New York. A confirmation email was received however on the date itself we walked from our hotel to the restaurant to find it had actually closed down. There was a note in the window which suggested it had been closed down at short notice. The premises were completely empty, cant see it ever reopening.

So this is not the pizza you get in Rome or Naples - the base is much thicker here at Margherita. But the crust has just a touch of char (perfect), and the dough has been prepared & cooked very well. Toppings are fresh, quality produce & balanced. Pizzas are large enough for 1 between 2 unless you have a huge appetite. The service is top shelf. Folks sitting behind us speaking to each other in Italian so clearly they know something about this place. Really good lunch time experience. Molto bene!

Amazing food, great service, great music playing in the background, such lovely little restaurant. I had prosciutto and funghi pizza - Sooo delicious! Finished it off with a wonderful panna cotta. If you want great pizza - I will highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely be back!

the service was so impolite and what is more it was the only one which charged us 18% for this service!! Also the prices were really high in accordance with the food quality! it was the most AWFUL restaurant EXPERIENCE that we had in NY!!!

Was wondering around little Italy and stumbled across this restaurant for a spot of lunch and omg i am glad we did. The mozzarella was so fresh that its liquid was still oozing from the centre. It was in the same class as the mozzarella in Italy made in the factory next to my house. The meatballs were to die for served in possibly the best tomato sauce I have ever tasted. The flavour was second to none and being Italian it is difficult to fault it- id be happy to make it myself !! I also do not think you would find a better pizza anywhere else in the world and that is not an exaggeration. If you are in New York it is a must !!

Amazing food, fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere in this restaurant. Very friendly staff and would definitely recommend. A little gem!

Dell Orto pizza for dinner, with Nutella pizza for dessert. What a great way to end the day! Small, intimate with a brick oven and sidewalk tables. Pleasant wait staff. A rating. Will definitely come back.

Claimed to be rated #1 on Tripadvisor for pizza in NYC. I would tend to agree :) We shared a Margherita pizza and Penne Arrabiatta both were nice although the pizza was really, really tasty. Service was good and the place was clean. I would visit again when in New York.

Wonderful meal. Great pasta and pizza. Dory was our server and she was great, fun and attentive. Thanks, we had a great time

We landed in this cousy little place by luck as we were walking through little Italy. Everything was just super-delicious, the fantastic pizza with a nice bread taste and also the pasta bolognese was marvelous. I would definitely come back, if I'm in NY next time and looking for the perfect pizza (for me it was the best pizza in NY). The staff was very friendly and the restaurant offered a very nice atmosphere, it was very familiar. The price were also fair and offered a good value for money

Succulent Italian break in the heart of Manhattan and Little Italy. The products are fresh and cooked with taste. The menu is varied and certain dishes are undoubtedly reminiscent of the best restaurants in Italy. Come there, you will not be disappointed.

We were looking for a good restaurant in Little Italy. Who would of guessed this small retro place exists. In or outside dining, great service and wonderful dishes. I love gnocchi. They make it with a pesto sauce. Great! Others had margarita pasta and pasta with meatballs. Prices are reasonable, conversation was wonderful. Mary Leoni form Minneapolis, Mn.

Très bonne cuisine et un personnel adorable. Merci pour la bougie d’anniversaire. Ma fille gardera un souvenir mémorable Food were excellent, all the crew was Nice with great attention to details!! It was the birthday of our daughter, as she said : « the best ever »!!!

Nice pizza in the heart of little Italy. As everyone is offering almost the same, we took to tripadvisor and it didn’t disappoint 2 well cooked tasty pizzas.

Had the Davolio pizza. True brick oven style pizza. Ate an early dinner since we had a sunset sailing. Got there around 4 pm and we were only customers. The pizza was delicious. Service very pleasant.

My kids, age 15 and 12 and I ate lunch here last year about the same month. We returned here via Uber from the Belvedere Hotel. We started with mozzarella sticks. They were crispy and the cheese was melted just right. Very good flavor. My daughter and I shared the Regina Margherita pizza which we also ordered on our prior visit. It was delicious like the first time. The outstanding aspect of it was the pizza dough baked to a delicate crispness. My son ordered the shrimp origanata over fettuccine. It was also delicious like on our prior visit. The shrimp was tender and flavorful. The service was excellent as the food got to us quickly and the staff was pleasant. This is a consistently excellent restaurant.

Lovely place and staff… wood fired pizza was delicious. Great relaxed atmosphere perfect for a lunch pit stop whilst exploring

We had 4 different kind of pizzas and they were all excellent. The service could not be better and the ambience is great

We took our kids to NYC on a spur of the moment weekend trip so they have never been or flown before. We were looking for a good, authentic Italian place to eat and decided on this place. So glad we did!! We had the bruschetta classico and shared 3 different pizzas and i had the fettuccine alla bolognese...amazing!! the flavors were so good. Definitely worth trying many different things here. the space is small but we were there shortly after they opened so there were plenty of tables to choose from. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

one of the best restaurants in NY period as well as a great atmosphere. Friendly service too and good price

We ordered pizza to takeout, it was delicious and the two young guys (maybe brothers?) who took our order were friendly and helpful. Our order was ready in a few minutes. It was on the expensive side but you are in New York and that is to be expected. We all enjoyed our pizza and my kids wanted to return, but we ran out of time before we left New York.

We had a very good meal at Margherita. Great appetizers and the pizza and risotto where both delicious. The service was friendly and kind. I can highly recommend this restaurant in New York!

Lured here by the good trip advisor rating. However, it turned out to be an unpleasant restaurant experience. We ordered a calzone and a pasta dish with meatballs. The calzone was okayish, although the cheese filling was a bit cold, but the pasta with meatballs were really badly prepared. The highlight is the level of professionalism of the staff... I understand that when it's not busy they want to chill, but they were too noisy sitting at the bar over our heads, eating around the cooking spots, too many comes and goes in the cooking spots without proper apparel... really bad image... Finally, the toilet flush valve was not working.

This is a pizza and pasta place only. But the pizzas are perfect. Small restaurant but somehow cozy. They have a gas-fired oven which makes the pizzas just as crispy as an ordinary wood-fired oven. Service was good. The bill automatically came with a 18% service charge although we were only 4 people.

I grew up in Swtizerland when Italians were seasonal construction workers in the 60's and 70's. So, I know a thing or two about real -no BS- first generation Southern Italian PIZZA. Living in the US makes getting a real authentic Pizza difficult and every time I visit NYC I check into Little Italy to treat myself to the closest thing. Yesterday I visited MARGHERITA on 197 Grand Street near Mulberry for the first time. I had them make me what we call a Pizza Scicillana (Napoli but WITH Mozarella plus black olives to the Anchovies and Capers) and it came out like Decades ago. Baked right, un-cut (we're not all from NY)... the real deal. The right Mozarella, the right tomato. Perfect! Thanks!

What a great food and people... Tasty vegetables, great bruschetta with burrata and a very Italian Pizza...and, of course, good service...

I’m old- I’ve eaten a lot of pizza. This was life changing. Shared a margherita with my teenage son (and it was a special memory I’ll cherish forever.)The ingredients were so fresh and they have a giant fire breathing oven they cook the pizzas in. Perfect crispy outside crust, soft and doughy in the middle. The sauce though. I can’t get over it. Will return next time I’m in soho. Save room for the house made cheesecake. Had the chance to chat with the owner who is humble but proud of his work. Keep it up.

We came in for dinner and have not been dissapointed . Food was excellent like being somewhere in Italy. We tried pasta and you should also order Bruschetta

Great atmosphere at a family run spot in Little Italy. Had the bolognese, pizza, and Lemon pasta dish. The service was a little slow and the restaurant was not that busy. Food quality was very good. Somewhat of a limited bar menu compared to other spots in little Italy we have visited.

We rocked up without a booking, as this place was across the road from our hotel, The NobleDen, and we were really impressed with the service and drinks list. Then the pizza came out !! SPECTACULAR!! WE were absolutely stoked with the size, flavour and base of the pizza's. I would definitely recommend this place over the more commercial pizza restaurants in Little Italy. The beers ontap are rotated frequently and the manager can tell a story or 2....

We ordered a salami pizza and tiramisu to take away. When I got back I realised the pizza was only a plain margherita. The pizza was ok - maybe a little sloppy. It was also a little on the salty side. The tiramisu was delicious. The staff were super friendly though.

Stop by because they were voted the 'Best Pizza in NYC'; I was not disappointed the pizza was a delight to the eyes with the basil leaves on the top and a pleasure to the taste buds. This is a thin crust pizza made to order with fresh ingredients and warm subtle flavors. Wish to return to NYC just to taste their varieties, plus I also had a Calzone to go - Wonderful!

It‘s tough to get a really good Neapolitan Pizza outside of Italy, but this is one the few places in US. It is a bit expensive, but it‘s worth.

The pizzeria is in Little Italy district. Amazing pizza, appetizer- eggplant parmesano were the best. Highly recommended!

The food was okay, but not really WOW. The pizza burrata didn't have a real liquid burrata on it, but unfortunately mozzarella cheese. Both of our pizzas had too little tomato sauce on them and the edge was too burnt. That's why 3/5 stars. The espresso was very good for that.

Popped in for some lunch today. My friends and I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, chicken with tomato spaghetti, and truffle fries. I had a glass of wine and he had the Sicilian orange lemonade. It was wonderful. Exactly what I needed.

I went to NYC on Nov and little Italy was m must, I decided to try this place and it was amaizing, the ambiance ia great, they have amaizing service. The menu was in Italian but the waitress helped me to choose the best option for my meal. But I would say if you visit that place better do it in couple coz is quite nice for a lovely dinner

Stumbled across this gem and could not stay away. Visited several times. Food is 🔥! (See photos below). Music makes you want to linger! Power for phones…. Not a tourist trap!

This restaurant is a few steps from Mulberry St, where most restaurants are. It has a friendly atmosphere and great food, we really enjoyed it! Their burrata is superb!

Our hotel was in Little Italy so we thought we'd try a pizza place. This looked to have decent reviews so we thought we'd give it a try. By far the worst pizza I've ever had from a restaurant. A complete waste of money. Either that, or the cook on the night we visited must have been having a bad day. I've had better oven pizza at home. We also ordered the lasagna, which was mostly sheets of pasta rather than any kind of ragu/sauce. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and polite.

The special of the day was Chicken Parmesan. OMG. I couldn’t get enough. There were 10 of us in our group and not one of us was disappointed with our food.

The service sucked. They were too aggressive and rushed me a couple of times. My wife and I had the lasagna. She like it, me, notsomuch. It was just ok. The mozzarella sticks were really good though!

Amazing pizza, reasonable price, terrific beer too. Highly recommend in a place where you are spoiled for choice.

Great find next to all the tourist spots in Little Italy. Wonderful home-made pasta, nice lunch specials, fresh salmon, perfect service.

Looked like a cool busy place so thought I would check it out for an authentic pizza. Lady who served me was friendly but the pizza was completely burned on the base and it’s all I could taste. I could even smell burning. No discount offered, which surprised me, I mentioned it twice but they didn’t seem to appreciate the fact they served me burnt food, they just started treating me badly!

This restaurant is well worth a visit, it is in the heart of Little Italy, the service is great and the food is so good! We had a pizza and a salad and some french fries to share and the amount was good for two people :)

First the good side: it's a small sweet resturant which could also be located in a city in Italy. The food is fresh, with good ingredients and the recipes very original. The pizzas could be bigger or cheaper, but the taste is good. Normally this would be a 4 up to 5 rating. But one of the waiters is very unfriendly and the big problem is: they charge you 18 % service fee. Just because they think you are a stupid tourist. They don't tell you that in advance, is just a part of your bill. After I ask why there is a service fee, the unfriendly waiter just told me that is just the tip... I really want to recommend you that resturant but I can't. I would never go there again, also when my time there wasn't so bad.

I don’t know if being rated #1 comes with expectations but mine were certainly not met. So badly so that the frozen pizza at Asda in the UK rates higher in taste. For the price and the hype I felt the service and pizza was pretty average. Nothing was a wow factor and it was rather disappointing. It was chewy and wet and the flavours were average. I did not appreciate being told to basically get out when we literally asked for the bill I quote “we have tables waiting” I had to wait for mine so you can bloody well give me the 5 mins to pay and leave and when We had it ready (5 mins later) you were no where to be seen. Personally I didn’t feel a tip was deserved. Defiantly feel this is overrated and not really worth it.

Visited with my husband it was late in the afternoon and we wanted a snack to tide us over until dinner. This restaurant stood out to us and we were welcomed in by staff to share a pizza as we were going out for dinner later. We had the Diablo (pepperoni) it was delicious the thinnest base but with a great crust. We added chilli oil and power this made it perfect. Staff were great and the pizza came out very quick. Would return.

Excellent pizza, with light dough and the right leavening. Ingredients and preparation are not the envy of many pizzerias in Italy, therefore absolutely recommended. Giuseppe the owner is very nice!

Visited here whilst doing some tourist attractions in the city. Would highly recommend. Seated quickly by a very attentive waitress. We ordered the pizza and drinks which arrived quickly. The pizza was delicious. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Charged 2 mobile phones for us as they had overheard us saying that they were going to lose charge. Reasonably priced for such quality food. Will be back for sure.

Busy place and was lucky to pick up a table outside. My sever forgot my drink order, then forgot my cutlery (you need a knife to cut the pizza) then forgot the bill...and when it came charged me for 2 beers when I had one. Had to wait about 10mins while they sorted that out! I suspect I was just unlucky and the other staff seemed on the ball so I’d still recommend this place if you fancy a pretty passable pizza.

High prices for such average pizza, far away from a good Italian one. The service is so impolite almost rude I would say and they charge you 18% for their poor service. Really disappointed. I would not recommend it at all.

Four days in Little Italy as a family of three English tourists, we called in to this place on our last evening, about 5.30pm on a lousy wet day. The place is small but oozes Italian charm and the pizza oven at the rear helps keep the place warm. The Italian waiter and waitress were excellent but the stars of the show were undoubtedly the pizzas. They were excellent and easily the best we had (and we had lots) during our stay. We were not hurried at all and found the whole experience to be heartwarming and relaxing. Thanks to the staff for their role in making our meal and enjoyable little Italian experience.

This was the first place we tried in NYC for lunch while leaving Little Italy and was a disappointment. I really expected fresh food and a taste of NYC. The calamari was par and the lasagna was not fresh. I looked like it had been sitting for a while and tasted like it. It was not fresh. The margherita pizza was not well cooked and lacked any tomato sauce. It was flaccid. We expected a 4.5 but got a 2.5 as our first experience in NYC.

On our recent New York trip, we visited Little Italy in early afternoon and found Margherita NYC. Relatively busy, but we were quickly seated in a friendly, welcoming manner. We ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza comprised of 4 wonderful cheeses and the Pesto Ravioli. Everything was delicious, and we thought reasonably priced. Enjoyed the authentic atmosphere, including the large pizza oven which turned out the perfect pizza crust. There was an 18% gratuity since there were 4 of us (this is pointed out on the menu, not coming as a surprise as one reviewer stated), but our lunch and the service were well worth it.

I have been travelling for many years and been to Italy more than 20 times, and I have never had a better pizza. Margherita NYC is not only the best pizza in NYC it's the best I've ever had. The service and atmosphere is super. I highly recommend this place.

This place is just an amazing "real Napoli" pizzeria. Simple like this! I'm from Italy and you can bet that when you go to Margherita in Little Italy you will be just amazed like I was the first time I came. FIVE #5 STARS, deserving more!

Great find in Little Italy. The bread and pizza were scrumptious. We ordered the arugula salad and it was delicious too. Prices and service were good. Waiter also treated us to yummy chocolate mousse at no charge. Highly recommend.

A nice little Pizza stop! We had the Margherita and the Diavola, both were very good and perfectly done. Recommended!

We shared a pizza margherita for lunch. Amazing! Perfect dough, crust, perfectly cooked, wonderful tomato sauce, delicious mozzarella cheese, and of course, served with basil. Absolutely perfect! A complete surprise. My favorite pizza place in the US!

The pizza in Margherita was great as well as the place and service. Highly recommended +++ I saw the place by chance while walking through Little Italy and immediately captured my attention. My expectations were fulfilled:-)
Pizza amazing!
We visited for dinner. The pizza was delicious with prosciutto and arugula. With a glass of great wine perfection. My husband had the lasagna and said it was delicious also. This is not fancy and very small but oh so good. We chose it based on other reviews.
