I LOVE this place! always great service, food, vibe and ambiance. and the two Marcos are just exceptional hosts. highly recommended.đđ»đđ»âđ»ïžđŻâą

Took my daughter, Emily, to Piacere. They import the flour for the pizza dough from Italy, so, NO GMO's. As always, the pizza is excellent and the service is great. The truffle pizza is a favorite!!

We were recently in NYC & stopped for lunch at Piacere , I ordered the margarita pizza, the crust was thin & crisply very good ! My husband ordered the spaghetti carbonara it was also very good, fresh ! My daughter had the Mista salad which she enjoyed also. The weather was very nice so we sat at their outside dinning area .Cute place , good service. Reasonable prices. Nice day with family in NYC

Great place that was in the same building as the Hotel we were staying at during our time in NYC (Sohotel). Decor was lovely, pizza's were very nice and service very attentive. But, being NYC - it's not cheap, but not stupidly expensive - family of 5, drinks and deserts cost ~$120 in total - but it was nice to get one decent meal in NYC!

This is a fantastic restaurant with staff who are great. But the food is outstanding. Authentic ingredients are used for all dishes.. The pizza baker can even dessert!!! I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat really good - great Italy in âlittle Italyâ

Fabulous food. This is not a flashy place -- more of a family trattoria. Pasta, pizza. Good wine. Great and attentive service. Two visits in 5 weeks -- just as good the second time around. Papperdelle as fine as Trattoria La Torre in Siena. Excellent desserts too!

This is the kind of place where you will become instant friends with the owner Marco just by sidling up to the bar and ordering your pizza. It is a charming place, family owned and a comfortable atmosphere to hang out until the wee hours if you so choose. Great bar menu.

Best italian food in new york city , we love the glutenn free pizza and home made pasta ,. Perfec place for family ,

Nice restaurant with great atmosphere! To me the menu was somewhat limited but we did enjoy our dinner very much! Tried the Linguine with manilla clams, Taglierini with porcini and truffle and the Diavola Pizze - all were excellent! We added some nice Chianti and Tiramisu and these completed our meal. A definite must must try restaurant when visiting the city!

We chose Piacere because of the positive reviews. The pizzas were out of this world, my husband loves the pasta special with seafood. There were plenty of shrimp, clams and calamari in it. For dessert we chose tiramisu, chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream and crÚme brulé. Each was exceptional. The service was perfect. We will definitely return.

I had the pleasure of having been to this place and I hope to return soon. Environment with attention to every detail and very clean, we were welcomed by the owner Marco, an exceptional person who made us feel at home straight away. The cuisine is something exceptional, pizzas leavened for 72 hours, and amazing desserts. Courtesy, availability and taste will accompany your evening.

Just walked out because of such rudeness from staff ... directed at children !!! Not acceptable behaviour avoid this place !!!

Came here before a show at Bowery and were very underwhelmed. We walked by the time we left it was full, but was empty when we arrived for an early 5:30 dinner. Sat there for 10-15 minutes before any of the employees decided to come over for drink orders. Not su how you can stand there and not come over. Food was average, but prices high, even for the area. $16-19 for personal pizzas seems a bit high. They tasted ok, nothing to write home about. Bottled beer was pretty normally priced, and a bit disappointed with no happy hour. Beer was cold, but not very cold unfortunately. Look and feel inside was really good. Liked the decorations and overall look. Overall, the place is ok, but could be better.

The service was very friendly and amicable very nice, the food however was a bit disappointing. The pasta sauce was a bit bitter and quite bland otherwise, pizza crust was a bit overcooked. The restaurant advertises gluten free pizza, but they do warn when ordering that the pizza is cooked in the same oven and will be contaminated making it not a gluten free option.

This is a great place! Fun space with wonderful pizza. It is so delicious that we kept ordering more. The owner and our server, Eddie Spaghetti, are very friendly and attentive to details. We had a terrific evening there. They do not accept cash, but there is an ATM in the bathroom.

Felt really authentic. It's a little tight and on a pretty night you'll want to sit outdoors. However, it was frequented by a lot of locals. You can find good Italian all over NYC, but if you want to say you ate in (or really, slightly north of) Little Italy, I recommend this spot.

Great tasting Pizza's best I've eaten in a long time. 6 of us from London ate and we were all very pleased with the mean. Would definitely recommend.

Place like this is responsible for giving New Yorkers a bad name. Not that good food on the dearer side; servers - horrible people. Super expeny for rubbish food

small restaurant with very charming & stylish atmosphere, delicious food. Only cash and american express accepted.

Best calamari I have had in the city! Great service, stopped in twice. Lovely Italian wine selection but drinks are pricey.

I visited Piacere last week, after their big snowstorm, with four of my work colleagues. Thoroughly enjoyed the carpaccio, wine list, and entrees. Most outstanding was the SERVICE. We were blown away at how well we were treated, especially as we were most likely the loudest group in the restaurant...hyped up over work conversation. One of our group spilled her red wine (not intoxicated), and they quickly came over to help. Dessert was on the house. Two thumbs up for Piacere!

Best Italian restaurant in New York City! Warm atmosphere and fantastic service! I absolutely recommend the pizza!

Suppose it should all be about the quality of the food. Thankfully that was the main factor for us which was just as well. Had 4 excellent pizzas all made quickly and brought out for four hungry travellers. Couldnât fault them. Authentic Italian thin pizzas simply made. With a lovely tomato sauce. They were excellent and a nice glass of house red to have with it. Main fault though was payment was awkward. Only accept cash or Amex which we only found out when we sat down. Really donât understand why businesses operate like that when contactless is readily available. A real negative and because we only had limited cash we were unable to order other courses. Anyway went for food and the pizzas were excellent which is the main thing!!!!

I get there for lunch, we ate pizza it was good quality tasteful but I think that it should be a little more larger, the atmosphere generally was excellent, the wood style makes a friendly and warm place!

Pizza was ok, scallop appetizer was small and overdone. Given all the other options if I had to do it over again I would have stayed on Mulberry Street.

Visited with my family and we loved the place, food and service. The place is rustic, small, cozy and very friendly service. We ordered a small portion of cured meats and cheese, followed by some great pasta and pizza. Everything was nicely cooked and tasted like in Italy.

Great Place just a few steps away from the crowd. Pizzas were really great as were the Cheesecake and not to forget the espresso

Walking into this establishment you feel right at home. The bench stule tables, brick walls, big bar and friendly staff make you feel so welcome. We started with the octopus and potatos with olive oil and parsley and the grilled squid with arugula and fennel salad. Our entrees were orecchiette sausage and broccoli rabe and pecorino and the taglierini with porcini and truffle. The ladder was the better choice, but both were good. We finished the meal with two delicious molten chocolate and ice cream. A great choice for Italian in a very comfy place.

This little tuckaway place takes only cash. Good wine and decent food with no kids options. We loved the atmosphere but not the attitude. Having traveled extensively in Italy (and finding fabulously kid-friendly waitstaff there) we didn't like how condescending the servers were toward our children. We know your white sauce is not like American white sauce, thankyouverymuch!

I've been going to Piacere since they first opened. I can't say enough good things about this place: the charming atmosphere, the casual vibe, the great food, the diverse crowd and most importantly the best pizza in NYC. This is a MUST-TRY of NYC. Don't miss out!! I love you, Piacere. See you very soon â€ïž

The minute we walked into the restaurant the owner was so rude. The restaurant was empty so we asked for a table of six. He then proceeded to ask if we had a reservation. When ordering one of my friends ordered for someone else. He then came back with a rude comment asking if my friend spoke English cause they werenât ordering for them self. It was very hot and the toilets were so dirty and disgusting.

Food was great, as were the waiters. Genuine Italian flabours and experience. They had gluten free pasta (one type) which was good as one of us has an intolerance. Prices are standard for NYC.

Such a lovely restaurant , food is incredible and service is outstanding .... authentically Italian... love it!!

âItalianâ with OK food, but where you get this feeling of being cheated. Only card accepted is AmEx, but you can find an ATM in the restroom to withdraw the cash you need⊠You can find better options for the price almost anywhere.

Nice place, relaxing and pleasant environment. Excellent meat, good selection of wines by the glass Lower than average bill

Cozy, romantic, great service excellent food. The food is delicious, your tastebuds have a party. Truly enjoyed every course. Highly recommend.

Piacere was so delish! we stayed locally and Piacere Italian restaurant was warm, inviting and filled with awesome wood-fired foods. the wine was spectacular the homemade bread, cheeses, olive oil, desserts were all WONDERFUL! On a dreary day the staff were happy and welcoming. Such a comfortable find! it is a small place with a big NYC heart! We would go back tomorrow.

We had a few days in New York and stayed at the Sohotel so ate here for dinner one evening. Beautiful restaurant, Marcelo was wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious and plentiful. We travelled over from Wales and were lucky enough to stumble upon this restaurant. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst sight seeing and wow what a find it was. Lovely waiter, lovely atmosphere and fantastic food!! Would highly recomend to anyone!!

My sisters and I all got something and shared with everyone. The food was fantastic, the wine was delicious, and the atmosphere was like being in Italy!

Warm and cosy in traditional surroundings on a rainy night very conveniently next door but one to our hotel. Great service and pizza oven in middle so can see. Busy but well looked after with reasonably priced wine.

Excellent location, cuisine and staff in a wonderful city. Clean and welcoming environment, unique experience, thanks to the owners who pamper you and advise you in choosing their dishes and make you feel at home: in a week's holiday in New York we went several times because their cuisine is truly worth it, from the bread and Andrea's pizza with fantastic appetizers continuing with the first courses and the meat and the fantastic tiramisu. What can I say, we will definitely return, thanks to Marco and Marcello for the welcome and professionalism we found! See you soonđ

perfect place .... the staff very friendly and very attention to the guest needs. food is good... excellent.

Traveling for work stopped by for dinner place was not busy service was slow, we ordered pizza and it was mediocre!!! When we went to pay they tell us they only except cash or American Express, and wanted me to use the ATM in their bathroom. Waiter did not inform us nor was there any signs around the restaurant. Waste of time!! There are a lot better places to eat in NYC for pizza then here

The angry Australians from 2020 must have had an aberrant night or been the problem themselves....I found the wait staff to be very attendant and polite. Yes, they only take cash or Amex (I don't understand that one...a weird way to drum up ATM fees since, if, like me, you prefer to pay with an Amex, they eat a much bigger percentage than they would with MC/Visa...but maybe it balances out since a lot people don't have Amex?). they serve some bread and olive oil (including a spiced oil they make that is pretty picante) to start. Nice array of wines by the glass. I had an octopus and potato starter that was very tasty and well cooked. My wife had the smoked scamorza cheese with prrosciutto...also very nice. Mains were tagliatelle with wild boar raghu (only complaint was that the meat was a bit scarce...but it was very tasty) and my wife had gnocchik quattro formaggi. Her dish tasted great, but I found the gnocchi to be too soft/mushy. They brought a nice piece of a non-traditional tiramisu to the table as a dessert...very tasyt, but more cream based than, say, cheese based. A very solid meal in a cosey, nicely decorated space.

In this delightful place, found by chance during my last trip to New York, I think it is impossible to regret the good Italian cuisine. The pizza in particular is truly exceptional and dispels the myth of the inability of New York restaurants to replicate good Italian food. The selection of wines was excellent, the staff proved to be truly helpful and professional. The quality/price ratio is adequate. Highly recommended!

So good was our first dinner here that we returned 3 nights later to do it all again - and just as good the second time. The menu is compact but varied, as is the wine list. This is a great casual addition to a busy neighbourhood but well worth a visit or two.

Excellent. Got their just as they opened for dinner service. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great wine list. Good pizza.

Excellent ambiance , trendy, nice vibe, true Italian owners and servers. Antipasto and main pasta (carbonara) were excellent. Will be back!

I found this place by chance, and was so happy to have stumbled in! Food was amazing, pizza is one of the best ever tried, service very attentive! Highly recommended!

We had two pizzas that were overpriced and very very average On top of that, they added a 18.6% gratuity outright and still asked for a tip - what a joke Steer clear, there are way better options in the area

This place has the best brick oven pizza! A nice low key restaurant with quick, friendly service. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

After walking around for a bit we stopped here for pizza and tiramisu. Both were really good! Especially when accompanied with some good wine.

Highly rated by Yelpers, so we visited, hoping for the best. The best was mixed. There was great service in this rustic family style seating place. Wine by the glass was good, but overpriced. Neopolitan pizza was very good, but not the best Iâve eaten in the area. Pastas were well prepared and good (one vongole and one porcini). But they were not up to par with some other places Iâve been. Bread for the table was a zero â shame on this establishment to put that on the table. Tiramisu was poor to average. All in all, we wonât be back.

We happened upon Piacere whilst pounding the streets in the hope of finding a little Italian, and there it was. The menu did not do the food justice as it looked rather limited, but it really was delicious. We ordered four pizzas: two Calabrese, a Salsiccia Fungi and a Carbonara. I know, a Carbonara pizza! It was beautiful and even had an egg on top! The large pizza oven is situated at the back of the restaurant so you can see the (dishy) chef cooking the pizzas whilst you sit back and relax. The service from Marco & Co was attentive and friendly, he and his team could not have been more welcoming and were happy to discuss the menu options and the wines/beer available. The restroom was just fabulous - there is only the one, so you have to wait your turn. With its sliding door and bohemian feel you cannot help but be a like taken by it - I know itâs a restroom for crying out loud. It was clean and smelt great... even the hand wash smelt wonderful so thatâs all you really need in a loo. Great job guys! Will see you on our next visit.

A trip to little Italy in NY and had soom great tasting Italian food, staff friendly, food was some of the best Italian food I've had ever.

Pizza and service were great on a quiet night. Pizza around $20 mark, so not cheap though. Would recommend.

Two visits a year apart confirmed, for us, that this is a restaurant of quality. Not fancy, but absolutely authentic, and a real value in an ocean of mediocrity. Tastefully and simply designed, with solid industrial tables and benches matched against exposed brick walls, Piacere emanates a hip Roman/Neopolitan vibe complete with Pop Music played over a nice audio system. In short, the room, with its tin ceiling, warming wood oven, and Edison bulbs is very welcoming. It's no design masterpiece, but a pretty cool little space. The key is freshness. Simple salads, pastas, and pizzas highlight lovely ingredients and it's rare if a dish has more than 6 components. Everything is made quickly to order, and served by a friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable staff. On our last visit we enjoyed a Arugula/Pear salad, Rapini, and three pizzas. All were superb. In a telling note, the espresso was also authentic, and well crafted. I think that linen napkins would add an extra dimension of elegance that Piacere deserves, but this is a minor quibble. I would not hesitate to return with family, friends, or colleagues for almost any occasion. Bravo!

We had what the waiter recommended which was supposed to be homemade pasta, but honestly looked like and tasted like noodles but the waiter was super nice and warm.

Piacere is an lovely Italian restaurant serving good wines and fine Italian food. we really enjoy coming here

Ate here 3 times on a trip to NY. One supper and 2 lunches. The woodfired pizza is lovely and thin and delicious. All the other dishes went down well with the rest of the group and the service was polite and friendly.

This place IS PERFECT.... starting from the cleanliness of the place, a splendid environment.., not to mention the cuisine, all excellent products.. then the pizzas???? to say the least, very good, very light dough leavened for 72 hours. The thing I will never forget is the goodness of their tiramisu, nothing short of sublime. Marco the owner is a wonderful person who made us feel at home. We will definitely return to NY but above all we will return to eat at PLEASURE.

We went here before an event on a Saturday evening. It was fairly early so it wasn't busy yet (5:30 p.m.). The ambience is fantastic. The restaurant has a cozy/rustic feel. The staff was friendly, I even reached out to them in a Instagram photo with a question once and they got back to me the same day! The food was phenomenal, very fresh. I often think of my dinner and instantly want to go back (I had the Cannelloni with ricotta and fresh mozzarella with tomato and basil). The Tiramisu was the cherry on top. Delicious. I would definitely go back again! But be aware that it's CASH ONLY!

Food of very good quality and in satisfactory quantity. The ambiance of the restaurant fits perfectly with the theme of the Little Italy neighborhood

I've been here several times now and I can honestly say: This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city (and coming from an Italian family, I'm a total pain in the a** about food). The first 2 times I had large groups, the owners and staff couldn't have been more accommodating, generous, gracious and patient. We felt like guests in their home. The food: really good quality of ingredients. From the timbale, to the perfect blistery and not chewy pizza, pasta and dessert you can't go wrong. I'm a vegetarian but others at the table were raving about the boar ragu special. The vibe: off the beaten path, but a hidden gem. Lovely ambiance, warm rustic vibe. Simple, chill and completely unpretentious. There is a lot of heart and soul here. You can taste in and feel it. I can't wait to go back!

What a nice surprise. A rather discrĂšte place off the most touristic streets. Short menu but excellent. Itâs easy to cook pasta but itâs Ana et to cook the right ones with the good products. At Piacere they fully succeed. Service correct if not overly smiling. Prices slightly high but still acceptable given the quality. A good address.

This was my first time at Piacere which is located near the New Museum off the Bowery in NYC. Open air dining and music at a pleasant level - it is a nice spot to sit. And they have good pizzas and sandwiches - the bread and crust are really excellent. But I cannot give them a five star, even though the food deserves it. Why? Their pourage is subpar. Their "glass" of wine is barely half full (see photo of the wine just as it arrived) and they serve small size beers for regular sized prices (also a photo). My advice - if you decide to eat here, don't order wine or beer. If enough of their precious product is still sitting on the shelf, after a while they may decide to offer fair portions of beverages.

A wonderful neighborhood spot with delicious food and a good selection of wines. The owners are lovely and create an easy going spot to enjoy your evening.

Great welcome, quality food and pizza, for New York a great value for money, helpful and friendly staff, highly recommended

Disgusting & disgraceful ! We (family of 6) just walked out after being treated appallingly by the waiter both upon entry and when taking our order ! My son was actually accused of not understanding English when he asked about the serving size of a dish ! We will be all making reviews on all social platforms about this horrible experience.

More local restaurant away from busy tourist with neat quirks and surprises. Organic drinks and food. Would like to return here again.

We went there for diner, they have amazing food and such a beautiful place! good wine and kind staff:) Thank you

Best Italian cuisine! Pizza fresh from the pizza oven. Super friendly service. Drinks are served quickly and the food is prepared quickly (and above all freshly). Relaxed atmosphere. Our favorite Italian restaurant in New York!

From the moment we walked in to the time we left this place delivered the goods. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We order a couple pizzas and some wine. The wine was very good but the pizza was out of this world, by far the best we'd ever had. Don't come here expecting a thick tasteless dough covered in subpar ingredients. The pies which can be shared or finished as a personal come with a perfectly cooked thin crust with quality ingredients. Each flavor comes through with every bite and the spicy olive can add a nice touch.

Homely Italian restaurant, such a relaxed and welcoming feel to it. Great recommendations from the waiter and really really good food. A shame we didn't have time to return but it will be on top of the list for next time.

Each year we get together to celebrate our friendship. We have one particular lady in the group who ALWAYs selects, never a disappointment :-). We had the best time ever at Piacere! The service, wine, food: Fantastic! The best part is: we could hear each other! Thank you Piacere for your hospitality! We shall be back! :-)

We had a great dinner. Wine, Primitivo was great. The pizza oven is doing a very job. Our kids loved dining with us there.

Went there based on reviews. And was about what expected. Pizza was little it smaller than many other places but good. Service was not friendliest one but still good.

We had a pizza and a pasta dish (Cannelloni) which was served with five minutes delay from each other. However, the food was above average but no more than that. The atmosphere was a fine blend between staff members talking Italian to each other and a New York interior with an massive European/Italian touch. The first bath room I have ever seen with an ATM inside.

We stopped here for dinner during the Feast as we wanted something not on Mulberry St and this place is a local favorite. Service was excellent. My pizza was good and hubby loved his main course. Drink menu is a bit limited.

A very interesting experience for everyone, the food is undoubtedly the best we have had in New York, recommended đ

As an Italian I must say that it was a great discovery Great welcome, attentive service. We ate a plate of pasta that lived up to expectations, even the very good gluten-free one. We went back to eat the pizza really good. Ok for gluten intolerant, no celiacs Price... this is New York!

Excellent. Dine al fresco or inside which is intimate (not so much by NYC standards). Beautiful wood fired pizza oven. Very friendly, accommodating service. Not fancy but slightly rustic, exposed brick, warm, longer communal tables, low lighting, classic Italian background music. The food however, is excellent. Nice wine list. Limited beer selection that could use a little revisit. We ordered a variety of appetizers. The Burrata w spec salad was exceptional, definitely not average. The smoked mozzarella w nice char, perfect balance of smoke, served w spec was delicious. The mixed salad with avocado was lightly dressed, ultra fresh, nice portion. Grilled octopus w potatoes was perfectly cooked, fork tender, nicely seasoned. But the real shining star was the wild boar porchini mushroom parpadelle. Which is sheer perfection, ultra rich. Craving to go back as they offer many things we wanted to try but were quite full, like the spaghetti w bottarga, chili & lemon, wild red snapper in banana leaf, and of course the wood fired pizza. If you crave authentic regional Italian dishes, not Americanized touristy Italian, then this is a must. *Very dark, strange quirky restroom.

What a wonderful restaurant! We loved the food, the gracious staff, and the ambiance. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Piacere to anyone who wants a delicious Italian meal from start to finish.

This is a very authentic Italian place, small and cozy. The smell of the brick oven makes it even more italian. The pizza is so good but a bit small :p Loved every detail of it :) the service is quick . Loved the atmosphere

Rustic chic small Italian restaurant with brick oven pizza and pastas Cute place to sit outside for drinks and some appetizers or a nice brick oven pizza. Friendly service, yummy food and reasonable prices :)

Wonderful authentic Italian food, great atmosphere, small and intimate place. The sauce was like heaven. You will know it when you walk in.

Outstanding food. Porcini mushroom pasta delicious. Pizza also delicious. Focacia bread best I have ever had. Everything delicious. Amazing service too. Highly recommend.

Absolutely not the best italian food. They tried to be friendly but the waiters talked bad about us in spanish. A real turn off. You can only pay with cash or american exp. Small portions. Super expensive.

Terrific spotâŠeveryone was so nice! The pizza was deliciousâŠ.wood fired with a very nice thin crust. One of our friends had pasta and loved his dish. This little place is very close to to the Moxy Hotel on the lower east side. We were staying there and wanted just a light meal. It was perfect! Donât miss the tiramisu hereâŠnot your typical one. Made with cookies that they bake in house and the mascarpone is luscious!

Stopped in for our second visit and the food did not disappoint!! The food is fresh and delicious!! Staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant decor is rustic and pleasing. Nice wine selection!!

One of the best Italian food outside Italy, really. Honestly, the food taste like in Italy, in well known areas of the country. Do no hesitate to have a lunch or dinner there, and try their pastas with truffles/tartufo or any other dish. It is full of flavor, tasteful like in Italy. When we will be back in New York, we will dine here again. Also have to mention that the service was excellent, and the owners very friendly, making you feel welcome.

We supposed to drink just a wine, but the environment was sssooo cosy that we decided to have our dinner also. I had the most incredible pasta. I would come back to NY just for the pasta at Piacere. Also, guys here are extremely polite. The service is very fast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Very rude staff, not helpful at all. Visiting from Australia and were looking for authentic Italian, not found here!

We followed the suggestion of a friend and booked the New Year's Eve dinner at Piacere. This small restaurant is at the heart of Manhattan close to Little Italy, Soho and China Town. Marco the owner and the entire staff were excellent and made us feel at home. The food is Italian, very tasty and fresh. I tried tagliolini (type of pasta similar to spaghetti) with mushroom and truffle: simply outstanding. It pains me to admit but their tiramisu dessert is better than my mum's homemade one (and she's Italian so she knows how to make it). I was very happy to find a typical red wine from Puglia Region (southern Italy), Negroamaro which has an unique taste. Apparently the pizza is the masterpiece in that resto but I haven't had the pleasure to try it.... next time in NYC! I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are willing to try truly Italian cuisine at a reasonable price in New York City.

Enjoyd a tasty pizza together with my son. Really nice atmosphere and good food, but as soon as the place got a bit crowded, the service got a bit chaotic. Ordered creme brulee for dessert, got some sort of Crepselle/Crepe with Nutella and berries. Ended up eating this, after some discussion with the waiter.

I was here during a trip to New York. Fabulous atmosphere of the place, perfect fusion between an Italian osteria and a New York place. I got a pizza and it was great. Light dough and high quality ingredients Quality (I took a margherita with peppers and sausage, I don't remember the name) Prices certainly below the New York average! Very kind and super helpful staff.

This is the real deal if you want authentic Italian cooking. I've been to Italy several times and I live near Little Italy in Baltimore. We all ordered different entrees and everyone was pleased. The owner and almost all of the staff are from Italy. They were attentive, but also treated us like family. The farmhouse style tables make the room feel warm and welcoming. It is around the corner from the many restaurants that are in Little Italy " proper," but this is where you want to go. I could go on and on...we will definitely be back!

I have been here before when on business in the summer. Cute little patio outside outskirts Soho Little Italy. Cheesecake ok...not extra ordinary ... Purple Haze Beer very good ...love it and can't get it in Canada. Server very cold and abrupt so for sure will not sit at bar again. Table service ordering meals apparently gets you friendlier service. But pizza is good here...rustic and simple atmosphere and menu. Aside from the poor service it's a cool spot.

The pizza was okay, but everything was really expensive. At the end of the meal 18% gratuity was added and no one had told us about this beforehand. In addition to this, the only accepted forms of payment is cash or American Express (which we didnât have, and they didnât tell us about this when we arrived or when we asked for the bill). They werenât able to split the bill either. So in the end everything turned out very expensive and pretty annoying for a group of 9 friends who wanted to split the bill. We also had to walk pretty far to find an ATM to get cash. Not recommended if you want a cheap meal and want to split the bill:) The service wasnât the best either

Stopped in here on a whim and what a great whim it ended up being. Super friendly bartender and employees. The food really sealed the deal being freshly made and delicious. So glad we found this place and look forward to more visits. Recommend highly.

Good place to stay on a table by the sidewalk, especially on a beautiful summer day. Have a pizza and a beer. Highly recommended!

The family decided to go to little Italy. While on our way we stumbled upon this place. Iâm glad we did. There was 5 adults and one child so we all tried each otherâs food, so here we go. SautĂ©ed broccoli rabe. Very good with some bitterness, and any Italian knows that how it should be. We all split a pizza with arugula, prosciutto and Parmesan cheese. This was excellent. We also had a Cheese and meat tray. The salamis and cheeses were all good. We also ordered a panini with prosciutto, roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella and it was awesome. The bread the panini was in was made right there and warm an delicious. Pasta carbonara was ordered as well. This was the least favorite dish of all but was still good. Service was great, our waiter Marco was great.

In NY for a few days found this great place with great pizza and service. You must try the pizza.......,,,,

Great place to meet friends and an excellent place to talk and relax, not to mention that the food is excellent, the flavor is incredible

Cozy place with several communal tables so you may not be alone. But the food is excellent. Pizzas are very good. But the gnocchi is soft and tender and better than any I have ever tasted.

Excellent service, authentic taste and it is in the Little Italy part of NYC. We had friends recommend this place before we left home. We are so happy we tried it. It was only a pizza stop for us, but there were many items on the menu that were appetizing to us. You have got to try the spicy olive oil! Great for dipping the crust of your pizza!

This place was steps from our hotel, and really hit the spot for a 10pm pizza fix. Comfortable, and a nice little by the glass wine list.

Very good meal, but unfortunately the card machine did not work, the waiter wanted us to pay only in cash. The problem is, it has a dispenser in the toilet where the fee is 3 dollars per withdrawal. No arrangement possible, we had to withdraw in the street from an ATM 500 meters away because the ATM limit is 200 dollars. Very disappointing.

What do you get when you bring together the best fresh ingredients and great friendly service? The best pizza and Piacere. I have been a frequent eater at the restaurant for the past couple of years. Located just off Mulberry - its worth a few extra steps. Also enjoy a nice cold Italian beer on tap at the bar. The restaurant also has an outdoor patio. Great for family meals with meal options for all. Pizza is light and not over filling. One person can eat a pizza. If you are two, I would recommend picking two. Restaurant is cash only or American Expreee. There is an ATM on location. Enjoy!

Great food and Wine for a reasonable price. Comment from my wife: The pizza is on her all time top 5 pizza list!! :-) Highly recommended

Ate at Piacere on our first night in New York. We were welcomed and accommodated even though we had no reservation. The restaurant had a cosy, relaxed and rustic feel to it. We ordered five pizzas and they were delicious. The staff were friendly and the service very efficient.

Marco, thank you for the best dinner experience. Your pride shines through in the food. Being Italian, and appreciating good food, I must say you nailed it!! This is a must in NYC!!!!

All five of us really enjoyed our pizza choices here. Had a little trouble understanding our Italian host/server, but to be expected from an authentic Italian pizzeria. Almost as good as "Pizza in the Jungle". I would return.

Very nice dinner! Visited very tired from our flight, but it was a nice experience. The waitor was very friendly. The bread we got before our meal was very delicious! We received a second serving, because the first was gone so quickly! The pizzas were from the wood-burning stove, you can tell the difference! My salad was nice too. The desssert was average and the prices quite high. That's why, 4 stars. But it was nice, food and service is to recommend, would go back again.

We had the lunch gnocchi, one with pesto and one with tomato sauce, the tomato sauce was better. Just watch out cash or Amex only.

This place is for an authentic Sicilian meal our pizza was great. Perfectly cooked it was a great find.

The only place with real Italian cuisine in NY. The two owners, one from Puglia and one from Abruzzo, know how to welcome you and make you feel at home. Andres' pizza is one of the best I've ever eaten!! See you very soon guys, you will be an obligatory destination on every trip to New York.

Rustic Italian near little Italy but not a tourist trap... Great pizza from wood burning oven, light crust fresh taste and very friendly service. Grazie!

Very good place for coffee break. Mr. Raul is very helpful and coffe is very good! Next to that place in the evening is music almost every day. đđŻ Perfect to have a fun and enjoy.

Love this restaurant. It is small and cozy, love the deco very rustic. It is authentic Italian pizza. That is why the pizzas are small, because they are personal pizzas. I went to Italy, and they serve the pizza like in this restaurant. Love the margarita pizza . They have the best dessert in the world.

Best italian pizza in New York. Ambience very cozy, and excelllent service! The pizza and pasta are delicious, I had great experience!!

Despite ordering our food all together, the first 5 people who got their food, ate for 15 minutes and finished their pizzas before the rest of us even recieved our own. I found the server negativ and slightly rude, as well as lacking service-mindedness. When we were to take care of the bill, the server denied our request of individual payment. In addition to that, he told us that the only valid payment would be cash or American Express cards, and prompted us to all to take cash out at their own ATM, located at the backroom. I think the service throughout was simply awful, and never would i ever recommend this place to anyone ever.

Even there was nothing severe to complain, it is pretty impertinent to put a full 20% tip as "gratitude" on the bill. Is it not anymore the guests right to decide how the service shall be honored? This is definitly a reason to choose next time another place.

Great food. Great wine. Great service. Authentic Italian food. Ate here three out of six days in the city.

We were exploring this part of the City.....where Italy and Asia meet I guess and it was around lunch time so we stopped in. Now maybe they don't really do a lunch thing here and it might be more of a dinner place but we got here around midday and left around 1PM or a little after and we were the only customers this place had for that time, which I found a bit strange given the positive reviews. Now maybe the lack of atmosphere was a little to blame but I kind of felt uncomfortable like, they might not have been open and decided because walked in they might as well serve us......strange feel the entire time we were there. We ordered a pizza and salad and I get that not everywhere serves big portions and that's cool but the pizza was pretty small and the salad was very basic and I left $35 lighter in the pocket and having to stop around the corner to get some dumplings at a street vendor. I am not a philistine who equates piles of food on a plate or in a box to a 5 star experience but really a "personal" pizza and a small tasteless salad shouldn't cost that much. The guy serving us was nice enough but lets face it he didn't have anyone else to look after!

Amazing quality pizza â I got it twice on a recent visit to NYC. Be sure to watch when they make it for you â it is like a TV show. The guy pours some liquid batter on a wooden ladle, spreads on it cherry tomatoes cut in half (not a sauce), throws in generous helpings of buffalo mozzarella and puts the ladle into an open wood-burning stove. He then moves a burning log near your pizza â and in two minutes you receive the freshest, tastiest, and absolutely addictive small pizza pie. Unforgettable!

Three couples ate here last night.Pizzas are brick oven individual pizzas. Two couples shared but my husband and I each had our own. Service was fast friendly Eddie and the pizzas were delicious. One of our group said it was the best pizza he had ever had. My husband had a margarita pizza. I had burrata(sp?) . Place is small. It does have outdoor seating. It does take reservations. If I get back to NY I'll go here ahsin

Just perfect . Very good food . Friendly staff . We recommend their pizze . Italian beer good too . Affordable .

Gotta say, we found this place from reviews & photos. We were looking for a great meal on our last night in New York before flying to Dubai. Gina, Holly and Don all ordered specialty pizzas. The three of them loved the pizzas and did all but lick the plates. The wife (Chris) and I had the pasta in wild boar sauce. Although we split it along with a salad, I could have eaten both by myself! Extra yummy! The group decided to split the tiramasu and bread pudding. The tiramasu was awesome, but the bread pudding was much different than we expected. It was very good, but dont expect the typical stle dish. The service was outstanding & we will go here again our next time in NY!

I had friends in town visiting from Europe and I took them around NYC. One of the highlights of their trip was this quaint, cozy restaurant, downtown in the Nolita/Soho area. It's one of my personal favorites and I take all my friends here. It's solid and a MUST, when in NYC! My friends loved it so much, they requested we come back on their last night in NYC. The grear vibes, the food and the staff are amazing and is always on point. Perfect for groups and sharing. PIZZA in my opinion is one of the best in NYC (brick oven) Highly highly recommended!!!

Ate here recently with family when in the area. Terrific pizza, very pleasant service, a fun experience!

Piacere is plain with sloping sidewalk seating which is fun on a summer night. The wait staff is pleasant, Our neighbors at the next gable recommended the pizza. We had the Taglierini which was good and the gnocchi which was not. We should have had the pizza. The view isnât much, but the neighborhood is lively.

Very welcoming and relaxing place....the two owners are fantastic and hospitable people, not to mention the pizza is truly among the best I've ever eaten. Recommended place and I will gladly return.

We went with our kids and the place is great. Delicious pizzas and great atmosphere. Good wine! We recommended them! Not a tourist place.

My wife and I like to go to Little Italy in NYC for Italian food and decided to try a new restaurant off the Mulberry Street tourist zone. What a mistake! To start, I had a draft beer served in an 8 ounce brandy snifter glass for $8.00! My wife had a 6-8 ounce soda for $4.50! We noticed other tables that ordered a glass of wine (very small pour) starting at $10.00! Now we get to the meals. We did not order an appetizer as the prices were insane! My wife had linguini alle vongol and I had orecchiette salssicci. Both were served warm - not hot. Both had the most awful sauce - no taste and greasy! In addition, the two tables next to us, seated long after we were, received their meals well in advance of us receiving ours. The music being played was rock - not appropriate for an "Italian" restaurant. Obviously we will never go back and discourage anyone else from going here.

Super cozy place! Marco, the super friendly owner, makes you feel immediately at ease and you enjoy spending even just one evening. Nice music, warm atmosphere⊠I started with a bruschetta Ham and then a cut with parmesan and rocket, really excellent and high quality meat Quality. I accompanied it with a glass of Primitivo... the selection of wines was also excellent. I absolutely recommend it!

Real Italien Food! Very good service Italien Style - mille Grazie. Weâll come back for an additional Home Made Pasta :-)

Excellent Service and fresh pastas and hearty portions. They charge cc pro fee I don't know what it means. But it's worth attending. And taste your food.

Everything you want in an authentic Italian place in Little Italy. The Italian owners were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere, location and music were great. Would be great for friends night out or date night. The food was all amazing. You cannot go wrong with this menu. Tiramisu is a MUST!

Amazing food, authentically warm and rustic-hip but unpretentious ambiance with great service and owners who clearly love what they do and value you as a customer and treat you like family - real wood-fired pizza choices are creative, delicate and incredible, including a thin stuffed pizza to die for (Robiola Piacere Pizza); pastas are perfect (Gnocchi Ai Quattro Formaggi and the Truffle/Porcini are my fave) grass-fed sliced rib-eye seared and cooked to perfection. Best tiramisu I've ever had - no kidding. Nice wines. Just around the corner on Broome so feels "secret", real NYC and away from the touristy crowds of Little Italy. You'll keep coming back, guaranteed. Veg/gluten-free options if that's what you need.

We had pizza and pasta and both were very good. Nice crust on the pizza and very fresh and high quality ingredients. Pizzas did not feel greasy at all- just very tasty. We also had tiramisu and ice cream. The tiramisu we did not enjoy too much but liked the vanilla ice cream which had a fresh and not too creamy and heavy taste.

Great Italian food and fantastic welcome from Marco. We were in New York but for one night we really felt at home

Just visited this past weekend. Saturday night late, after a long day of sightseeing our travels led us here! Very quaint place, loved the atmosphere, lighting, brick walls. The Moscato was great! Food was good. Shared a pizza, scallop appetizer and mixed green salad. The pizza was good, but smaller than expected. Scallops where cooked perfectly, but had a little flavor. Do not bother with the the mixed green salad, was exactly as stated on menu, mixed greens, avacodo, and tomatoes. I have made better tasting salads at home. With all the restaurants in NYC - this would not be one I went back to solely on the food. Maybe it was my choices, but nonetheless, I will not be back, too may other places to try in NYC. The kicker was to our surprise they did not take Visa or MC only Amex and cash. Maybe this is normal in NYC, but to us visitors it was a shocker and we had not experienced it yet. Yes, they have a ATM on site, but that seems a little tacky to me.

Nice place in a low key street near the sohotel. We tried pizza and pasta and various deserts and they were pretty good. Pity wine and beer are so rediciously expensive. They do not serve the big brand sodas but only alternative drinks. Being well aware of local practices I like to decide myself how much i tip based on the experience. Unfortunately owner decided he knew better than us how much we liked it. Overall so-so experience. Peter

Excellent food, drinks and service! If you appreciate the best of Italian cuisine, this is the right place! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out in New York!

Just followed some reviews here in tripadvisor and we arrived to Piacere. Cozy, small, fast service, excellent food. Pizza & caneloni's were really good. So was the dessert, the wine. For me is =4.5 stars

THE place to be! We often went to Piacere and spent some lovely evenings there. The welcome was always warm, the service professional and the food excellent. A great atmosphere and always cheerful staff. A "MUST" for us when we are in New York. Thanks again to the team!

We stopped in Piacere for a quick bite and ended up staying for a long and lovely dinner. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent. The gnocci was best-in-class. Really. We expected good food but were pleasantly surprised the quality was so good for such a casual eatery. Definitely recommend!

I've been here at least a half dozen times and each time it's been a great experience. Excellent food and a really nice atmosphere with a friendly vibe. The noise level has always been perfect for having a nice conversation with friends or on a date (and often there's some excellent background music) and there's a wood burning oven. Thanks to everyone at Piacere for always taking good care of us!

Good Italian pizza in a warm and refined environment, to try if you are tired of Smash Burgher and want to sit back and relax. Very appreciated the aniseed sweets offered as a way out (they even gave us a bag!). Very kind service! Price a bit high but aligned to NY where everything costs more than twice as much as in Italy. I recommend it

Amazing food & Amazing experience. Everything was excellent, Eddie & Francisco were also #1 making us feel like with family. Francisco I really appreciate your eye for perfection it is a hard trait to find almost extinct so it is nice to see still alive. Absolutely recommend this gem The music & environment was also a 10+ Pasta platters& Tiramisu home made from scratch ! Thank you !!!!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at PIACERE restaurant in New York. The restaurant is located in the heart of Manhattan, a few steps from Times Square. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is kind and attentive. For an appetizer I ordered the tomato bruschetta, which was delicious. The bread was crunchy and the tomato fresh. First I tried the carbonara, which was perfect. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was creamy and full of flavor. For second I chose the Milanese cutlet with rocket and cherry tomatoes, which was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the breading was crispy and golden. For dessert I ordered the Nutella crepe, which was an explosion of flavor. The crepe was thin and fragrant. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at PIACERE restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try real Italian cuisine in New York.

Having heard about the virtual fanaticism some people have for italian food in New York we decided we needed to try some so decided to visit Piacere in Little Italy. We didn't have a reservation but we were greeted warmly and given a nice perch at the bar to have some wine while waiting for a table. We could have eaten there but preferred to wait for a regular table. The feel of this place was really warm (important with it being the coldest weekend in New York that year) with a lively atmosphere with a lot of regulars coming in being greeted like old friends (always a good sign). The smells were classic italian with great garlic wafting through and the unmistakable smells from a proper wood fired pizza oven. When we were seated we felt incredibly lucky as despite regulars waiting too we were given possibly the best seats in the house - a corner table at the back. The food was really very good with the Burrata to start being of very high quality, my special of tagliatelle with a wild boar ragu being very tasty and my wife's pizza was crispy with just the right amount of topping. If we had one complaint the pizza dough was not as tasty as we would find at our favourite places but all in all it wasn't bad. We had a sense that Piacere was not as overly touristy as some of the other restaurants in the area and also was much more accessible for a nice night out without being too pompous. For us it was a good find and we enjoyed our evening there.

On our last night in snowing New York we found this little Italian. We we're warmly greeted and shown to the bar whilst our table was readied. The Pizza was amazing and the Italian draft beer was awesome. Finished off with wonderful puddings. Atmosphere was quaint. Reserving is recommended as quite a cost restaurant so does fill up quick. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Incredible food, great service, awesome time, it was the best way to end a great day in the city. Definitely feels like home, Marco and the rest of his crew will make sure of that, they treat you like family.

I made a reservation on Open Table, and when we showed up to the restaurant for our reserved table outside, the manager looked shocked and we got sat at a community table. We were OK with that, but then they promptly sat four, stunningly loud, young women at the table with us, In spite of several other open tables. They got drunk, and louder, and seemed to be having a contest over who could cuss the loudest. Cussing doesnât bother me, but this was way over the top. As for the food and drink, I donât get it. Pizzas are $17 a piece and feed one person. Wine is $10-12 a glass and is a small pour. The wine was OK. The pizzas were dull normal, at best. $120 for three pizzas and four glasses of wine. AND , they only take cash or American Express. But hey, there is an ATM... in the bathroom. Every part of this dinner was disappointing. Period. I told the manager my concerns. He explained that they donât guarantee outdoor seating, and community seating is loud, and it says on the menu that they only take cash or American Express. He offered a free dessert, I refused and asked for a couple glasses of wine off the bill. He refused. Ah well. We certainly wonât be back. Dear gawd. Go somewhere else for your money.

My family and I enjoyed a great meal with friendly staff that were very responsive. The food was prepared with authentic Italian ingredients and with the utmost care. Can't say enough.

Disgusting and very small pizzas. Beer has no taste. Itâs expensive. You pay 13$ for service but they speed you to make a maximum of money. They only take Amex and oblige you to get cash in the cash dispenser inside the restaurant. Run away from this place!!

What a wonderful evening meal tonight. Great food and great service. Children and adults enjoyed their choices of pizza and pasta Thank you

Excellent restaurant, when you enter Piacere for dinner it really feels like you are dining in Italy, typical dishes and unmistakable flavours, the pizza is a must try, delicious and all in a warm and welcoming family environment. Highly recommended. Excellent.

i booked piacere based on its good reviews. service was brisk to the point of rudeness & we were told weâd need to leave because they needed the table. there were 2 of us. we arrived at 6:45 with an open table reservation, asked to leave at 7:55. pizza & wine were good, but between this rudeness & their taking only either cash or amex to pay, iâm done, & cannot recommend. such a pity!

Piacere between NoLita and Chinatown is one of my favorite and Best Pizza place in NY. Real Italian flavor and management! Organic and quality food only, cozy place, great service. A must have: Pizza (any), Polpo and Patate, Tagliata, Timballo di Zucchine, Gnocchi and TiramisĂč.

Menu with varied options, quality food and a pleasant atmosphere, an excellent and complete experience!
overrated
were looking for nice italian restaurant, without expecting miracles (because i often travail to Italia) but 5 stars rating in tripadvisor seems too much. we had a pizza (was ok but nothing unforgettable) and gnocchis with too much sauce. Agree on some comments regarding noisy rock musics.
