The service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious! Anthony, our server, did a fantastic job, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Fantastic experience, felt very welcoming from the start, food was delicious. Would suggest, affordable with great portions. Cizia was our waitress. She took good care of us. Thanks, we'll be back

The staff certainly went out of their way to please the customers, since this was the soft opening of their uptown restaurant in Manhattan. Very attractive and pleasant decoration with comfortable seating arrangements. We ordered two appetizers: the polpettine, which are meat balls that were very tasty although a bit dry, but nevertheless delcious, and the parmigiana de melanzane, or eggplant, superbly prepared and also delicious. The pasta was a risotto in a beets sauce. The rice was a bit hard but many people like it that way. I really didm't mind it but it was not what I have had in other Italian restaurants. Whatever, this is a gem in the UES and we will go back to try other tempting dishes on the menu. Welcome and much success.

Had visitors from out of town, and had a fantastic experience (matching our previous outings) at Piccola Cucina Uptown. Food was fabulous, service extraordinary, and lovely street shed which made for very pleasant dining. The waiter heard my son say, "they don't have meatballs and spaghetti"--and he immediately said they would make it although it wasn't on the menu. We were 7 people, and we all got wonderful attention. Erica, who manages the restaurant is always on the move, and checking in with all tables. Such a pleasure to dine at Piccola!

This is a great neighborhood spot. Delicious food, friendly efficient service and a vibrant atmosphere. An awesome bar with comfortable seating. I particularly like the piccolo cucina salad, grilled squid, Vitelli tomato, and lasagna.

Excellent service, impeccable food. Cozy and neat place. Divine dessert. I ate the best tiramisu of my life, made live by the waiter who served us. Unique experience

Sat down here for a quick lunch. Very good quality. Not the very top but very good. Sicilian cuisine freshly made. Very nice place to stop by for a quick lunch if one is in mood for an authentic Italian.

Unexpectedly special place. Great food, sardines and ceviche with quinoa. A little noisy but great friendly service. Will go there again!

Two families came together for Christmas Supper. Reading other reviews, we to sat next to the door so cold air would give us a chill. Ordered for the table Caesar Salad, Fried Zucchini and their Baked Artichokes. Then some of us ordered their Tagliatelle with chingale (wild boar) ragu, veal Milanese (huge portion) Buccatini with Cacio Pepe. So delicious. Hope to go back soon.

My review of Piccola Cucina Uptown can be summarized in a single word...WOW! Truly amazing food...created in a kitchen by people who sincerely cared about what they made. So very delicious and appealing. Incredible Service from an amazingly talented staff. These people really work as a team and it was a sincere pleasure to served by such a wonderful staff. The exceptional Manager was awesome. From the moment we walked into the restaurant untill the second we left, this lady made the restaurant come alive and also made us feel so very welcomed. Her enjoyment for her work was infectious and trickled down to every member of her team. She involved herself with each of her guests and was simply 'the best!' The only fault with my visit to Piccola Cucina Uotown was my own...for not coming here before today.

Stopped here without a reservation for a quick pre 6pm dinner. Maitre’D found it an imposition to seat us in the almost empty restaurant without a reservation. Major attitude. Our lovely server and very good food salvaged the dinner. The grilled octopus and avacado appetizer was a standout.

excellent lunch, very friendly and helpful staff. welcoming environment, you feel at home, delicious food Super recommended!!!!

Italian restaurant! Very kind staff, especially Erica, high quality food and impeccable service! Exquisite pasta alla norma and excellent gnocchi with lamb ragout. As an Italian I can say that I have found a piece of Italy in NYC!

-Well... THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Such a great environment and the waiters were amazing. Such a great restaurant the food was AMAZING. The pasta was so fresh not to exaggerate but... it was the best pasta I have EVER HAD. I told them it was my birthday that week and they sang happy birthday to me so sweet. I wish I lived in NYC so I could go here every week 😩😩

Pleasant, lively place, food was all good, not great. Starters were Arancini, mozzarella in carozza and focaccia di recco (which is more like white pizza then a traditional focaccia. All were decent, I've had many better. The sauce on the cacio e pepe was much too heavy. Bucatini itself was fresh and very good. Wife liked the langoustine pasta and daughter the pasta norma (which I tried and like more than mine). Service was so/so. Overall, we liked it but I doubt I'd return considering the many alternatives.

I go to italy often. This was the best I had the lobster pasta and my wife had the pistachio pizza Fantastic. I wished we had more people and I could taste everything.

Food was amazing. Great Sicilian cuisine. Hostess was brilliant and super entertaining. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

We went with friends to this outlet of the Piccolo group of restaurants. The food was not as good as the location on Spring Street. We my wife and I shared a Caesar Salad, eggplant parm and Parpadelle of mushrooms that was warm but not hot. Service was good. The pistachio Gelato was great but way to much for the 4 of us to eat.

This place was very accommodating and had excellent service. The waiters and staff were super friendly and accommodating. They break into song and help you celebrate a special occasion. We sat outside in a sidewalk hut that was actually quite cozy and felt good to be in. The service was prompt, and the food came out. Good time. We ordered two salads. The bread is excellent and comes with several dips. The wine was good the main course we ordered Bronzino it is a huge portion and could be shared it comes with the side which is not a big portion. We also ordered a pasta dish which is prepared partially at the table side! We shared lemon cheesecake what is that. This is a recommended place to visit to dine with family and friends in a warm friendly environment. Caring staff, which is rare these days.

Utterly fabulous evening at Piccolo Cucina Uptown. Great, authentic Italian food, exceptional service, great wine list. Have been before and will definitely go again. The ravioli with osso buco melts in your mouth!!

We are 4 Italians abroad, we found a very professional environment that at the same time makes you feel at ease, excellent service, the waiters always come by to clean the table, pour you water and change your cutlery. If you come to New York, try it because in the middle of a sea of hot dogs this place obviously makes the difference at New York prices 🤗🤗 hello beautiful people (congratulations to our ser Antony).

Amazing! Food was incredible, service was first class and drinks were perfect. We went over the lunch special and would recommend as all dishes were about $15 - we had meatballs with truffle mushrooms, green tagliatelle and burrata brushetta!

We popped in and enjoyed a lovely lunch. The calamari and octopus were lovely. Only improvement would be an extra toilet as there is only one for the whole restaurant. Otherwise really great.

Can’t really fault this place. Great food great service nice atmosphere decent prices extensive menu. Will be back. A little chaotic when we arrived as so busy and weren’t seated until 25 mins after our reservation but not really thier fault.

Forget the usual name of Italian restaurant. Go for the real best Italian / Sicilian experience ever.

Excellent! Food really god as descrived. Qualiy Top prices for New York correct but the qualitàly deserve ! Staff very kind and courtesy. We will return sure next time . Thanks Mangaer Sebastiano and all Staff

Friendly welcome. Fast and efficient service. Lovely bread. Outstanding food. Excellent coffee. Great wine list. Very good value. As the title says 'Faultless'.

Decided to stop here for lunch on our way to Central Park. What an excellent choice! We were welcomed immediately by Virginia and made to feel incredibly welcome by her and each of the staff members with whom we dealt. Our favorites of our multiple selections were the caprese salad and the homemade pistacchio gelato. Eager to return on our next trip to New York. Will make it a destination dine on the Upper Eastside.

Great food in a nice and cozy place near Central Park. The attention of all the unbeatable staff especially Manuel. Recommended 100%

Very popular restaurant with a wide selections of interestingly prepared pasta, fish and salad. On request they can prepare pasta dishes with eggless noodles. My wife enjoyed the quinoa salad, while neighboring table ordered a breaded bronzino advertised for 2 but looked like it could feed even more.

Excellent all around! We all ordered different things and every dish was amazing. I totally recommend. It was a great spot for dinner.

This Restaurant is 10000% MUST GO TO ! NO MISS! Seriously NO MISS! The Food- Absolutely Delicious, Amazing Wine list, Great Cocktails and the Staff! They are so friendly, knowledgeable- MANGIA!

We were very disappointed with our first visit here, almost a year ago. We were given a bad table (close to the door and subject to wintry blasts when people went in and out), and while the food was very good, the service was inexcusably bad. This time was a different story. We got a table in the main part of the restaurant, past the bar. The welcome was warm and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was great. Great late night spot.

Delicious Sicilian pastas, cozy tables, delicious cannoli, and a table-side tiramisu that will knock your socks off.

Probably best pasta ever tasted, for this price. Both youth and adults loves it. Nice locations, super employees! Highly recommended!

There are no words to describe this restaurant: nice, delicious, wonderful food! I'm Italian (with a Sicilian partner) and I ate here the best pasta alla norma I've ever tasted!! The manager then... very nice, smiling, super welcoming... I felt like I'd known her for years!! It's a shame that we only discovered it at the end of the holiday, otherwise we would have returned for sure. Thanks Erika!

So excited to come based on all the reviews. Disappointed. Service was very slow. Food was bland; mediocre at best. Not worth the price tag at all.

The restaurant focusses on Sicilian cuisine. Top notch on all levels: food, staff, service and seating area.

Wow! The food was amazing! It brought me back to my Italian grandmother's kitchen; it was very nostalgic and delicious. Now, the price was much more than grandma's kitchen and I am not sure I would do it again (at least not for the whole family). Maybe it's because I'm not from the city and these prices are normal for NYC, but I was very surprised by how expensive it was. Oh, well...the food was SOOOOO GOOOOD!! :-)

Truly a cozy, nice and clean place!! Accurate and quality food and then the atmosphere is unique ... really super recommended

Fantastic experience! Real Italian cuisine, great ingredients, very kind and professional staff! One among the thousands of reasons for coming back to New York. Special thanks to the restaurant manager (the nice Sicilian lady) for finding us a table despite the fully booked restaurant!

Found by accident but glad we did. Hidden away on East 60th street. Lovely staff, very nice food and buzzing atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

After a day in Central Park we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. Cosy and busy place, was full when we arrived but we had to wait less than 5 minutes to get a table. Very friendly and dynamic waiters, we got good suggestions and enjoyed a very good dinner. Good starters, good pasta and good coffee. Surely a place to come back to. We have been in NY 4 days now and this is the first time we enjoy really good food. Thank you!

The food was spectacular, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was fantastic! Specifically, one member of our group has a severe allergy, and they were extremely accommodating. The manager came over to discuss menu items personally, which led to a fantastic mushroom pasta dish! All members of our group enjoyed their dishes. We will definitely be going back!

As all their locations, you musn't walk but run for a great meal every time. Never seems to disappoint. Fresh food and friendly service every time. They have the perfect recipe to keep you coming back.

Delicious italian food! This restaurant was the best italian we have been in our last visit to NY. We are waiting forward to be back and try other entrées.

My mum and I had a great dinner here tonight! The restaurant manager was very nice, and she boosted the experience even more! True Italian food taste, amazing service and perfect timing! Definitely the best dinner in Manhattan so far!

Monica the owner: wonderful!!! (who is the Super Manager and her name is Erika. Great worker!!! Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere: you can feel that there is heart in the air. Genuine quality of the food. Absolutely recommended! Well done 👏👏👏👏👏

This restaurant is not up to code ther are 2 hot water heaters flushing fumes into basement whare work staff is placing them in harms way owner of building chooses not to fix no one should work here or visit here u till these safety hazzards are fixed n inspected by con edison

Nice spot for lunch. We sat outdoors in the tent and were glad as it was much less noisy than inside and much brighter. The food was tasty - we had 2 salads for the table and shared; pastas were good. They have gluten free pastas and bread which is nice. I had the bronzino which was delicious. For dessert 6 of us shared the homemade pistachio gelato - it was huge and enough for another 2 people. The service was outstanding. The waiters were constantly checking in with us, offering us more drinks, and seeing if we needed anything else.

Food and service excellent. Loved watching the server create tiramisu right next to our table. We weren’t rushed at all even though the place was very busy

Erica is great and the food is a trip to italy. We ate cavatelli with squid ink and a great tiramisu. Service is suoerb, and it is a bargain for the quality of the food, specially the lunch prix fix menu.

I had the Cavatelli pasta and I recommend it. The rice balls, calamari and carpaccio trio were also amazing. Highly recommended.

This place is incredible. They serve a micheline star food incapsuled in a casual and friendly Italian trattoria. It is like dining in an upscale restaurant without the pretentious waiters and staff....and the bill.... They are all friendly, prepared, knowledgeable and attentive but the real star here is the food: fresh, creative, contemporary Italian with deep roots in the tradition without being boring. For a quick lunch break, brunch after shopping, dinner parties with my friends or just a quick aperitivo at the bar this place is always fun and the food never ends to surprise me. When I cannot go I order to go and the food is always flawless and the pasta always perfectly al dente. This Italian gem stole my heart.

Brilliant family-feel very Italian restaurant in the heart of NY. Very friendly and helpful staff (my wife is gluten-free) and top class food.

After a few days of American food we finally ate some excellent Italian dishes. Virginia with her contagious smile makes you feel at home, she cooked the cacio e pepe pasta and the espresso tiramisu at the table. Very good and also very good in the kitchen! The prices are perhaps slightly above average but the portions are generous.

Authentic Italian cuisine. Very tasty and beautiful customer service! Five stars. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great food great service , octopus is the best, green tagliatelle definitely the best pasta ever, must try the tiramisu as well.

This place is just charming - very Italian in style, nice and relaxed atmosphere, excellent service - and the food and wine are just amazing. Highly recommended!

We had dinner twice during our holiday in New York, finding the flavors of home revisited in a modern key, in a welcoming environment, super helpful staff and Sebastiano who holds the reins of the room, an added value of the place. Selected raw materials and Mediterranean flavours, generous portions, in Italy it would be a Michelin star, like the big names, like Cannavacciolo, but if you look closely, the CV of Guardione, owner and chef of the Piccola Cucina restaurants in NY is no different. Booking is a must because it is always full. We took the chef's choice of 6 first courses the first time, to immerse ourselves in all the flavours, and each one deserved appreciation. The second time we went for the appetizers, parmigiana and fried calamari, impeccable, and finally the desserts...which deserve a separate mention...Tiramisu made live at your table, assembling the cream with the ladyfingers which are soaked in the coffee, but if You can't see it, you can't explain it, this alone is worth the visit. Happy Italy to everyone in NY at the little kitchen uptown.

This restaurant has jumped to the top of my list for dining in NYC--it was perfect in every way. The servers, the hostesses , the wine and the food choices were spectacular

When researching places to eat in NYC Piccola Cucina was ranked one of the top. We opted to go to the new location to ensure a reservation. With our reservation we ended up still waiting (this was no problem) with the host and bar keep both being very gracious. Once at our table we were presented with the days specials. We opted for one of each. Neither ended up being to our immense liking but neither were terrible dishes. It’s clear anything ordered here is good. We ended up waiting nearly thirty minutes after our dinner to be presented with a check. Without any complaints or mention of the delay from us the waitress ordered us cannolis on the house. It was a great way to end the night. Definitely a 4.5 experience.

My favorite restaurant in all of NYC. Better food than I had in Sicily. Erica remembers and hugs. I eat here often, as it's a neighborhood treasure.

Very Italian place. Frittura mista is outstanding, but all dishes seem very good. Nice service and informal friendly environment, like in an Italian Trattoria.

I have been to Piccola a few times in person but this evening I decided to order through Uber Eats. I wasn’t feeling well and could only have a modified pasta which I specified in the comments when ordering. Within a few minutes of placing my order, a wonderful woman from the restaurant called and asked me to explain exactly what I can eat and how she would help modify it. She was so caring and helpful. The order was received in no time at all - all packaged well, delicious and well .. perfect. Sometimes we don’t say thank you enough not just for great food but amazing customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant - Buon appetito :)

Amazing food but the service was beyond amazing. I will visit every time I’m in NYC. It was like been at home. The manager was wonderful

My friend told us Piccola Cucina is one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC and their pasta was amazingly delicious. It’s really popular that the wait during peak time is bad and if you would like to beat the crowd for dinner, visit before 6:00pm. The staff was friendly & attentive and followed the safety procedure for COVID-19 with high standard. After being seated, they would serve the complimentary and decent bread. We started with Octopus Caprese as the appetizer and Fritto Misto, pasta to share as entree. The octopus was tender, slightly seasoned and great with Burrata cheese. The portion of Fritto Misto was huge. The fried zucchini was special but kind of greasy. We chose Tagliatelle Verdi con ragu cinghiale aromatizzato alle erbe e tartufo nero from the various options of pasta on menu. The pasta was cooked properly with little chewy texture. It’s was delicious and flavorful. We highly recommend to order their tiramisu which was freshly made by the table and it was creamy and melted in mouth.

Visited: November 2nd Having made a reservation 2.5 months in advance, I expected a pleasant evening at Piccola Cucina Uptown. Instead, the experience was nothing short of a disappointment. To begin with, despite the long-awaited reservation, we were given the worst table in the restaurant — an immediate letdown. The food was another disaster: everything was unbearably creamy, completely overpowering the flavors. The service, however, managed to be even worse than the food. One waiter, in particular, was a constant source of discomfort. Not only did he have food visibly lodged in his braces (unacceptable in any setting, let alone a restaurant), but he hovered over us incessantly while we ate. It felt as if we were under surveillance, robbing us of any sense of ease or enjoyment. As soon as we set our forks down — often for mere seconds — plates were whisked away without hesitation. It was as if they couldn’t wait to get us out. To top it off, the same waiter poured wine into our glasses as if he were in a race, filling them absurdly high in what felt like a push to finish the bottle quickly and prompt us to order another. Nothing Italian about it. As a final irritation, the predominantly Spanish staff put on an exaggerated and artificial “Italian” act. It felt forced, inauthentic, and added to the overall sense of frustration. The whole experience was rushed, uncomfortable, and downright unpleasant. Piccola Cucina Uptown is not worth your time or money. Do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere — I certainly won’t be coming back.

Overated with attitudes. Half a cup of soda due to they lost their account with soda distributor according to server. Rib eye was ok. Spinach was plenty, pasta was rubbery. All had accents and spoke in Italian on and off the accents came and at times they seemed to forget. Like bad theater. From seating staff to server and bar tender just bad attitudes. Atmosphere was very nice and very small. Quick service.

Really good spot, great atmosphere and very tasty food! Arancini & Lasagne was amazing! All other food looked good too. Only downside was that the food came out very quick and not much time in between courses.

Excellent service. Perfectly cooked pasta. Had the rigatoni with pistachio pesto and salmon ragú and the cacio e Pepe. Both amazing. Highly recommend when you’re in the upper east side.

Best time! We had an amazing palatable and dining experience. The service was great, and it was a very friendly family like environment

Friendly and attentive staff. Fabulous food, Fantastic service, wonderful ambience. Everything was fantastic! Hope to come back here again many times. Highly recommended!

this charming restaurant is a must. The highly entertaining hostess sets the mood for a fun night. The service and food are excellent. The bread service comes with 3 different sicilian toppings. The ceviche and veal tomate appetizers were amazing. the classic cacio and pepe was served from the parmesan wheel. The pasta with scampi and burrata was also excellent. For a larger group get the whole branzino breaded and encased in salt (never seen this before) and then served tableside. Highly recommend

We had a party of seven reuniting family members. We were seated at a lovely round table upstairs so we could all share in the conversation. Our waitress, Elena, was wonderful. She was warm & friendly and also very efficient. All of the food, appetizers and entrees were quintessentially Italian and exceptional. We had a fabulous evening and highly recommend this charming restaurant.

Looking for Italian food, we found the restaurant on Google. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and were able to get a seat inside about 30 minutes later. The dishes (lasagna for me and caccio e peppe) arrived quite quickly and the pecorino pasta was plated before our eyes, after having been prepared on the wheel! It was very surprising, we loved it. The flavors were there, we savored every bite! But the most surprising thing was to see our tiramisu arrive “in pieces” and prepared before our eyes once again! A real experience that we can only recommend!

These people are so nice and food is spectacular❣️We always have the best experience when we visit. We try different plates and all are exquisite!! This time we had Grilled Calamari and Guacamole, Squid Ink Spaguettis , Ceasar salad and Fettucini❣️We will be keep on visiting❣️

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! We went with cousins who go here regularly and clearly understand why they do. It is a treasure to find such a restaurant in New York City that is reasonably priced and yet serves wonderful meals. The service was outstanding! (Perhaps because they know our cousins so well.) There is not a single thing I would change about our experience! Nothing at all!

Food is PHENOMENAL!!!! Simple, rustic pastas and sides done extremely WELL! Fresh, homemade and bathed in the right sauces to make you want to dunk your face into them. Sliced hand-sized Crostini with three (3) different spreads: Chickpea Hummus (could have used more saltiness. Not totally bland but the least favorite.) Smoked Salmon and Capers and Tomatoes in Oil were amazing. The Mozzarella in Carrozza is three (3) triangular Pullman sizes of fresh Mozz breaded in what seemed like bread crumbs and Panko. Atop a bed of Arugula and sliced Cherry Tomatoes. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED! Also had the Fried Zucchini, which was sliced paper thin and dipped in a tempura Batter. Accompanied by a lemon and Sour Cream dip. We had the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe. Think Buccatini style fresh noodles. Thick, chewy and wrapped in CeP love without being overly peppery. It is brought tableside in the Parmesan Wheel, which is an additional temptation of goodness! The portion is generous. Not quite family meal size but close. The Beet Salad and Caesar were both fantastic and hearty with PLENTY of healthy goodness! The Caesar is housemade and not from a bottle. Both had grilled chicken. Although flattened til almost paper thin, it was seasoned perfectly. The Gnocchi was in a light Basil Pesto and topped with two Zucchini Blossoms. Easy dish. The Shrimp with Ziti and a Pomodoro-type sauce) came with four (4) humongous jumbo grilled Tiger prawns. Each Prawn is $4.95. Worth it! Service is impeccable! Space is tight & parking is...across the street at a lot for $40.

Got interested because it’s a Sicilian menu. And that’s where we are planning to go on our next big vacation!! Originally we planned to eat outside on the small outdoor 2 nd floor terrace, but the 90’ changed our minds! Chose the more elegant 2nd floor dark and sultry dining room! Ordered pulpo appetizer- BEST one ever! Swordfish- not that great- previously frozen & $40. Gluten free penne pasta with langostinos, burrata and basil- fabuloso! Don’t bother ordering the gf bread- it’s regular toasted slices multi grain sandwich bread! There’s a nice vibe upstairs- even has another small bar there- we will return and both get pastas next time! The Sicilian hostess ( pictured) was SO friendly and very loud, haha!

This place is great for a date night. We went on a Sunday night and it was a cozy atmosphere with a great vibe. Food was amazing !

I was really looking forward to visiting here to have some great Italian food. There were a few dishes that stood out - the calamari starter was excellent and the ragu tasted delicious. But the rest was.. meh! $26 for what is effectively nice garlic bread with cheese on was disappointing. For the price you’re paying I was really expecting more.

My husband and I are transplanted NYers living in So. California. Returning home for a family Christmas, accompanied by our two Millennial sons and one So. Cal girlfriend, we were ISO a real NYC Italian restaurant experience…boy did we find it at Piccola Cucina! We were warmly greeted by our hostess, Erika, who, learning of our disappointment that our plans to see the Radio City Christmas Show had been derailed by Coronavirus closure, escorted us to our table with a series of Rockettes high kicks! The food, from bread to appetizers to entrees and ending with cannoli and limoncello, was divine. The atmosphere is festive and inviting, with a taste of Italy. The service could not have been better….with a big shout out to Erika! We all enjoyed our dinner so much, our disappointment in the cancelled show was forgotten. The five of us had different entrees and all were superb, so order what you love! So go and enjoy yourself…and don’t forget the cannoli,

Piccolo Cucina uptown has the best caprese salad we’ve had, including in Italy. Eggplant parm just melted in the mouth, such flavor! The calamari were the largest we’ve had. Two cannoli were added to our order as a thank you. We’ll definitely eat there again when we’re in NY, thanks Piccola Cucina!

Unearthed through a review seen on Instagram, it was just a pleasant and excellent discovery. We stayed in New York 10 days and returned to dinner 2 times. The managers really make you feel at home, in a well-kept restaurant, with both bar and high-end table Service. As for the kitchen, we could taste different proposals being in 6 and everything was really great! A customer focus that is not everywhere and is not obvious. A big hug to Virginia: I'll see you soon!

Excellent meal and ambiance. NYC Christmas sight seeing. Get the braised beef, carbonara and the scampi had so much seafood! Get the tiramisu, lemon cheesecake and crème brûlée. Everything was delicious and all were satisfied! Service was excellent!

Awesome Italian restaurant. Highly recommend this place. Good location near corner of Central Park. We both had Pasta Shrimp Scampi type dishes and they were both excellent. Had the capri salad and the cannoli for desert. Recommend all of these.

One of the best Sicilian restaurants not in NY...but in the world!! Coming from a Sicilian! Erica the manager is the soul of the place. Perfect

We had been many times to this restaurant since we discover it.outdoor dining is excellent, environment, they did a great job, it’s beautiful and very confortable . Perfect heated. Service impeccable. Food outstanding, bread really good and comes with a oil and pomodoro sauce very good. All the people who work here are fantastic. Impressive if you order tiramisu, they made it at your table. Worth to go for it. Cacio e pepe, ravioli, fennel salad, all pasta are very good, and they came in a individual pan. Focaccia, fried sardines, salmon tartar, burrada, etc etc, is one of the most complete menu I ever see. Full recommend this place. Excellent wine and cocktails.

I came across this spot on East 60th St while walking along the Park Ave mall. It has a nice ambience inside and also offers outdoor dining. I ordered the osso bucco-filled ravioli and it was delicious! The portion was generous too so it can be shared (under protest). I am adding Piccola Cucina Uptown to my Favorites list!

We recommend 100%. Here you are in a restaurant and not in a canteen, here there is noise (as in all restaurants in NY!) but so little that we can talk without having to scream. In fact you are in Italy: super friendly and warm staff, nice decor, excellent food (nice quality of products), very well served parts and the icing on the cake the tiramisu is prepared in front of you. We were 7 at the table and were treated as familiars and not as uninteresting tourists: this makes all the difference. If we go back to NY we will come back every night to this restaurant. Thanks to the whole team

Piccola Cucina Uptown is by far the most amazing, authentic and fresh Italian food (with deep Sicilian roots) I have tried in NYC. We loved everything about it and especially: the attentive, professional and friendly staff; the safe outdoor dining space; the great menu and wine list. To start we ordered a fugassa and arancini, both to die for; then I got a special place with fish carpaccio and grilled sea bass (fresh and tasty) accompanied by a superb fennel and orange salad and my partner had the most amazing plate of green tagliatelle with wild boar ragu. Our chocolate soufflé was a perfect ending to a great meal. I higly recommend Piccola Cucina and we cannot wait to going back asap!

This is clearly a trendy UES Italian that attracts a fashionable crowd. Maybe we had a bad experience, but my impression was that unless you were a regular or someone famous, you were treated badly. And it wasn't that we were rowdy or anything...we were a group of 4 consisting of 2 parents in their 70s and a son and girlfriend in their 40s, everyone well dressed and on their best behavior after an evening at the theater. We had a 9pm reservation and were given a table in the section between the bar and the entrance - clearly Siberia, especially since every time the front door opened, which was often, we got a blast of freezing air. The food was quite good. I'd rate it a 4. But the service was inexcusably bad. After a long wait before a waiter appeared, we ordered drinks. After another long wait, 2 glasses of wine appeared, but we had to wait another 10 minutes for a beer and a Manhattan to arrive. Then another long wait for a waiter to appear to take our dinner order. Then another long wait before our meals started to arrive. People who arrived well after we did had been served and had finished their meals before we even got ours. Even when our meals started to arrive, it was about another 10 minutes before all 4 meals were on the table, and when they did arrive, the wait staff had no idea who was getting what. The food itself was quite good, and our waiter, when he appeared, was quite pleasant, but the bad service ruined what should have been a pleasant meal.

Everything was so good! Service was very attentive. Food was delicious - we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and the butternut squash gnocchi and would return for both. Great experience overall

Best lunch/dinner in New York! Great value for money! Super hospitable owner, she even offered us cannoli, super good! All first quality

This restaurant is excellent! The food delicious, the atmosphere captivating and the staff friendly and efficient. Check it out.

Came here for my birthday meal The staff were lovely and very attentive. Barman was great with our drink choices (my mum wasn’t sure what she wanted) The brunette server was great at explaining all the dishes and was very well mannered They even brought me a little birthday cannoli which was much appreciated I’d definitely recommend

Fantastic! Reminds us of Italy. The wild boar tagliatelle was like we had in Orvieto, Italy. The Maccheroni with eggplant was excellent choice. Very moderately priced - a keeper!!

Very good food and very good service as well. The presentation of the dishes and the restaurant itself is of very good taste.

We sat outside and it was perfect. Inside seemed a little noisy. The food was very good. It was cooked to perfection.

I loved everything about this restaurant. We had a reservation for our family of four (2 teen girls). The staff were amazing and made us feel like family. We sat upstairs which was very cozy (vibes, not size). The food was delicious. Even my teen girls liked it here.

Definitely the place that knows more about Italy for now visited as far as the cuisine... Place very similar to our homemade restaurants where you eat well and spend the right... you do not go out hungry but satisfied by the senses... -view you have great colors, beautiful courses and many smiles... -heard you can hear the thousand accents of foreigners who read words in Italian and moreover enter the place while playing 'Dark Bologna' by Lucio Dalla is priceless... -taste nothing to say, fresh and well cooked dishes!! Highly recommended to all tourists who want to feel at home after making a 7500km trip 😊 Price more than affordable since around you spend nice green notes for raw material much cheaper!

A place to try if you want to taste good Italian cuisine (to be in NY). After a few days in the Big Apple If you can't stand any more hamburgers and steackhouses and you need to recover here you can do it great

Delicious food with good portion and reasonable prices. The servers are attentive and polite. The ambience is cozy. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended place, excellent food, excellent hospitality, sublime staff. Chef Matteo Top Top Top Thanks for everything

We ate pasta with various sauces, for example penne with tomato sauce, which were amazing. Water included in the price. The portions are nice and generous. Friendly staff, the owner is helpful and speaks Italian. Price $18 for the pens, plus the hateful TIPS of course.

I’m very upset that I did not find this place sooner. The food and service is unbelievable, feels like that flashback scene from Ratatouille with food critic Anton Ego. If you haven’t been here yet, make sure to bring your +1 I highly recommend it.

Italian dishes with american twist which didn't impress us. The sicilian dessert was awful. Not only it was straight from some packet, it was also stale. Inedible.

I LOVE THIS PLACE....FIRST TIME BUT NOT THE LAST THERE....AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD.....MEATBALLS WITH PORCINI MUSHROOMS AND PARMIGIANO CHEESE...OMG ...SO GOOD MY FRIEND HAD BRONZINO...VERY FLAVORFUL......TIRAMISU ...FRESHLY MADE AT THE TABLE...AND THE APPLE TORT ...YUMY AS WELL....VIRGINIA THE MANAGER WAS SO NICE SENDING US HOME WITH LEGIT CANNOLIS.....MY TASTE BUDS ARE STANDING UP AND CHEERING...VERY VARIED FOOD AND WINE MENU....DEFINITELY WILL RETURN...TREAT YOURSELF AND GO THERE

Came here before a show, and it was perfect! The food and drinks were so good....great atmosphere and the italian was exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere at Piccola Cucina Uptown. Everything we ate was delicious. Starting with the tuna, avocado, and artichoke special appetizer which contained many of my favorite ingredients. We had a taste for fish and had great options for our entrees. The next time we visit I will try some of the traditional Italian pasta options. The toughest thing was selecting an entree from among the daily special and regular menu choices.

Certainly a piece of Italy in the heart of Manhattan! From the starter to the dessert, everything was spectacular! Excellent service from our friend José who served us at the bar, very kind and accurate in his recommendations! We'll be back soon

2nd visit in 3 months, with mine and my sisters birthday 3 days apart and before she flies back to London (ex-Pat) we had supper with our aunt at a place we truly enjoy. The staff truly care in providing great service accompanied by great Italian food. Ordered the zucchini fritti and artichoke appetizer. Then Tagliatelle with Chingale and Branzino. For dessert had the tiramisu ( they used whipped cream not mascarpone for the filling). And as a surprise we got 3 mini cannolis with 2 candles!

The restaurant is very close to Central Park and has very good food with excellent ingredients and a good size. The service was very welcoming and the atmosphere was also very tasteful. The real Italy in NY

I went here last week Saturday with a group of friends, and we all agreed everything was delicious! The staff was VERY attentive. Definitely get the Tagliatelle with ragu & truffle or the Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe. The arancino was also delicious! And I can't forget about the triamisu that gets made tableside. It was all absolutely amazing!

VERY DISAPPOINTED with my experience today. I had a restaurant gift card with remaining balance, but they REFUSED to accept it just because it was “over a year old.” I checked both federal and New York laws — there is NO rule that allows a gift card to expire after one year. This is NOT OK. The manager showed me an email that someone else supposedly received and said it was my problem. I explained several times that no one ever told me about any expiration when I bought or used it before — I was even told it would NOT EXPIRE. She just kept saying “that’s not possible.” I ended up paying out of pocket. Later at home, I checked their website — and it says NOTHING about any expiration date. This is completely MISLEADING and feels like FRAUD. UNACCEPTABLE customer service and dishonest policy.

Simply amazing food, service and drinks. The staff is incredibly attentive and kind. This is definitely becoming our go-to Italian!

Piccolo Cucina Uptown completely lived up to our expectations! We heard more Italian spoken here by other diners then we heard at some restaurants in Italy which meant that the food was authentic and respected. My wife loved the Cacio de Pepe and I really enjoyed the Tagliatelle Verdi with wild boar ragu. We followed up with the Tiramisu, made table side (watched the ladyfingers get dunked in the espresso….they still had a bit of crunch!). The restaurant atmosphere was very lively on a Friday night, and the staff worked together very well and appeared to be having a good time making sure that customers were enjoying their evening.

I can only recommend this place! Congratulations for the flavors of the dishes and portions... I felt like I was at home. Good and kind in service. Value for money in average New York venues

I would say this place offers great value and style. The portions are large and their prices are moderate for this high quality of food. The restaurant is small but fun and has its aura. The appetizers were amazing - especially the grilled calamari (done very uniquely with pieces cut up with avacado and presented very elegantly. The tuna tartare very tasty and portion size much bigger than expected. I would only say their gnocchi was only "kinda good" and the mushroom pasta was a tomato sauce and I thought it would be a creamy sauce. Notwithstanding every time I ordered a mushroom pasta it is creamy I can only fault myself for not reading the menu clearly and nothing wrong with a restaurant doing things differently and I found it good per se but not a taste combo I generally like (again, that is just my taste preference). Service was outstanding! I debared 4 ot 5 stars but 5 stars really needs to be walking out feeling exceptionally satisfied and that was not the case for us, but no complaints.

Delicious food and excellent service. The ravioli special was superb. This restaurant is a gem. I would happily eat here again.
You can’t leave NY without stopping by!!!
We had no reservation but they got us a table. Excellent attention from everyone and especially Manuel
