Tasty pizza

By MaxMaltaBH |

The place is very good, Italian-style pizza. Price from $146 for 4 pizzas for 4 pesos, including drink. For demanding people, the place is legal.

WORLDS BEST GLUTEN FREE MARGARITA

By Mikayla M |

I’ve never had such a squishy and fluffy gluten free pizza crust. This place is a must. Got takeout and ate the pizza in Central Park.

Around New York (near Rockfeller Center)

By Nicola L |

Tasty pizzas not very different from those eaten in Italy. Nice place. Cost of n.1 Bottle of mineral water at $9 a bit excessive.

Must go in NY

By Isabela P |

We stopped by chance at this restaurant and were positively surprised by the impeccable and quick service and the fresh pasta dishes that were simply wonderful. Special thanks to waiter John who was very attentive with our baby.

One of the best Italians for product and service in New York, plus they have Gluten-free food

By Enrique C |

We were looking for a place where my celiac son could have a gluten-free pizza and without a doubt, we found one of the best Italians for product and service in New York. They could make all the pizzas gluten-free except one. The waiters, John, were charming and the other waiter who spoke Spanish (we don't know his name) was very attentive, approachable and they had the kindness to bring out a small cake for my daughter's birthday. Without a doubt if we return to New York, we will visit them again.

Nothing special

By Hjörtur Þ |

Had lunch with friends, we picked this place because of a nice rating on trip advisor. The service was friendly but the pizzas were very bland and overpriced.

Wow after having look for

By chuyalvarez |

Wow after having look for several options THIS is the best! They even have licor 43 as a digestive! Gluten free and gluten free beer! In love!

Impeccable

By סילבי ר |

Excellent. From the outside the place does not pay for mine but it is very good, high level cuisine and impeccable service

Once a Favorite, Now Never Again!

By Frank Sories |

I've been here several times over the last couple of years, once with hard-to-please family members, and enjoyed it. Not this time. Spouse and I had a reservation, and our wait was acceptably short. We ordered our food and received our pizza just over one hour after we had arrived. Interestingly, these Neapolitan pizzas take a very short time in a wood-fired oven, which they have. We had also ordered a pasta dish to be brought out as a main course after our pizza; this was so that nothing got cold as we ate. We had to cancel the pasta because we didn't want to wait another long time for a second course and told the server that we thought an hour wait for a pizza was unacceptable. We ordered the pizza diavola without red pepper flakes as the server told us AND the table next to us was no problem whatsoever. Needless to say, the pizza arrived with the pepper flakes. We went ahead and ate it because we were hungry. When we told the server that the entire meal had been a disaster she apologized, but there was no attempt at service recovery - no apology form the manager, whom we saw there, no offer of a reduction or anything else. This restaurant simply cannot accommodate a full house. There were fewer diners the other times we visited, and I think that made a huge difference. As we were leaving, we noticed that the pizza oven wasn't very big and there was ONE pizza chef at work. Almost everyone was ordering pizzas, so at some tables there would need to be four or five individual pizzas made. There's no way one person can make pizzas for everyone who wants one and have them delivered in a timely manner. This place has good pizzas, but they need to get their act together in order to provide even adequate service. I won't be returning.

Good food but front of house experience is poor!

By Carolinevc1 |

Stopped by for an early dinner without reservation. Waited a full ten minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there. Even ignored by the waitress who came over to turn off the heater just inside the doorway. We thought about leaving but decided to wait a couple more minutes. Eventually the male front of house arrived and seated us at the bar. No apology for our wait. From this point on the experience was better. Good advice from the waitress on pizza and drink, based on our preferences. Great food - although my husbands pizza was badly burned in places. Quickly served. A very pleasant meal. A little quick to give us the bill perhaps - I was thinking about a third drink - but we found most places in Manhattan are keen to rush you out the door!

Great couples lunch

By foodie215 |

We did not have a reservation but were seated promptly for a mid day lunch on a Saturday. We had the rice balls, gnocchi and a white pizza. All spectacular. We cannot wait to go back!

Pretty decent pie

By oldtraveller131 |

The reviews of this place were pretty good so I decided to check it out. They have a very nice Ferrara oven in the back so that is a good start. Service is swift and friendy and after asking some advice I decided for the prociutto pizza with sauce. The pizza was pretty good - the pie was nice and fluffy and the and ingredients tasty. Still, I would have loved it to have a little more flavour. The pie was very smooth but could use some salt or different yeast to give it a little more punch. Overall a good pizza and nice hosts. Could go here again

Rude

By vacances |

Went there on a frigid NYC evening and the place was almost empty, yet they didn't have any available tables except the two terrible ones downstairs by the door. Asked the hostess if we could sit upstairs and she went up to ask the manager or whoever the man was upstairs and he said no we don't have any room and that they were saving those tables for reservations. We looked online as we were standing there and there were plenty of tables/reservations every fifteen minutes. Terrible way to treat potential customers.

Gladly again!

By Fay |

Very friendly staff, good Italian food, lots of Italian guests and good value for money for New York!

Artful pizza at Pizzarte

By ArtsyGalBaltimore |

A quiet Friday in NYC, some construction on the outside, sleek, narrow two floor restaurant with a modern flair. Quick welcome. Ordered lemonade sweetened to one’s taste. Ordered a sausage, mushroom pizza with a salad (carciofi) Just right for two. Because topping is generous, best eaten by folding back at the point. Like in Naples, it is fires in a woodstove. Great choice

Super good gluten-free pizza

By alejandra |

Supergood gluten-free Napolitan pizza. Amazing to be able to eat authentic pizza without any intoxication of gluten.

Nothing to envy to Napoli

By Mario |

I'm from Napoli, I've been eating pizzas everywhere in Napoli and not, and I can say that this pizza is perfect, nothing to envy to neapolitan pizza. Tasty, light, fluffy. Price in line with Manhattan. Very quick service, our two pizzas were on our table after 5 minutes. Tasty dessert too. That's just a real neapolitan pizza in New York, more than I expected. I'll go again

Great find ...

By Paul P |

Walked by liked the look, and name . Staff was friendly , shrimp and calamari app was awesome and we split a pizza...fabulous crust. A nice bottle of procecco made for a terrific lunch.

Lovely piece of Italian cuisine in NYC

By Safferboy |

We were spending a few days in NYC and my kiddo wanted pizze ... so we chose PizzArte as it was close to our hotel. We made reservation online through trip advisor which was dead easy. Welcome by staff was great. We were seated upstairs. The menu is a fair size. Service was great. And the pizze were simply incredible: Great base. Good toppings. Genuine Italian taste. And the service was excellent - they were right there yet not all over you - which I appreciate. Prices were pretty good for the city too. And when we requested the check it was there. Really awesome evening and well recommended. We’ll be back I’ve no doubt.

A piece of Naples in Midtown NYC

By Flower_bee3 |

We have been visiting Pizzarte on a regular basis since 2019 when it was highly recommended by our hotel. Dont be deceived by the name as they do a lot more than pizza and they do it very good. The owners are Napkes natives. The octopus salad is excellent. We have also tried the burrata and the fried calamari and shrimp, bot were very good. For mains, the breaded chicken breast and the fish are excellent. Of course, the pizza is great too. Make sure to save room for dessert. Try the chocolate almond cake which is flourless chocolate cake with finely cut almonds. The best part of it all is that their prices wont break your bank.

A Gem!

By ggfcress |

What a gem! Crispy, tender calamari and eggplant appetizers were a great beginning. Of course we had to have pizza and I’m partial to truffles so I had the truffle, mushroom pizza (made in in wood burning stove) which was perfection. Considering it’s name is Pizzarte, I was very impressed with the homemade pasta’s. A perfectly executed cacio e pepe with a thick pasta similar to bucatini but it was solid. We also had pappardelle with short rib ragu that was equally delicious. We finished off the meal sharing a few of the desserts made in house and each was better than the next. The restaurant appears to have been recently renovated and the art was an added bonus. Finally, great service. We had an 8 p.m. show at the Friar’s club and they made sure we were out in time! Definitely will be returning!

Good pizzas and a nice dining room

By Einar |

We went there as walk in on our way back to the hotel on a Friday after a long day on 5th Avenue. They were able to seat us on a communal table which we shared with another family. We ordered bruschetta, pasta and pizzas and everyone was happy with their food. I recommend the Pulcinella pizza!

BEST ITALIAN PIZZA IN NYC

By Michele |

If you want to eat REAL ITALIAN PIZZA you MUST come here. That’s amazing. Try the Quattro formaggi, it’s light and tasty. Fresh ingredients

Can no longer recommend

By gsm18439 |

I have been a guest at PizzArte since its opening several years ago. I am usually happy with the experience and often recommend it to friends and colleagues. However, my visit two nights ago was an exception and has forced me to re-evaluate my opinion. I met a couple of friends for drinks at the bar before dinner. The hostess tried to hustle the two of us who were dining to our table before I even finished my glass of wine - and more than 15 minutes before my appointed reservation time. I took an argument to allow us to stay at the bar, and she was clearly not happy. One of the dishes that we ordered was the pasta with truffles. The dish was small and rather tasteless, and I was charged $85.00. The price was never communicated to us by the server when he told us the specials - twice (obviously for a reason); and granted, I probably should have asked about the price. But $85 for a small, tasteless plate of pasta? Really?? The rest of the food was similar to previous experiences. But the menu has not changed in years. It is time for a refresh. PizzArte lost a customer.

Decent midtown pizza

By diamondgirlMichigan |

This small restaurant is conveniently located near hotels in midtown. It’s not just for pizza but offers many Italian dishes. We only wanted pizza which was good, but we also had the crispy zucchini strips which were amazing. Service was friendly and quick.

Pizza is good. Don't come with a friend.

By David R |

The pizzas are good. Service is excellent. But don't come with a friend. We sat upstairs. It is designed with noise reflective walls ceiling and floor. So it is ultra noisy. If you come with a friend you won't be able to have a conversation. But you can have a tasty meal while you are bathed in a bath of noise.

Fun and yum American Italian restaurant

By Grace Annette C Y |

Wonderful food & drinks. Great services. We usually go there once/month. I like their salad with grilled seafood, pizza and fish dishes a lot. Hubby likes their pasta. Their mocktails are also great without alcohol and with nice flavors. The wines are standard Italian restaurant options. While food and service are great there, the noise level is quite high. If you like a quiet dinner, this is not the place. But if you are in happy festive mood, the high noise level from tourists and local family gatherings will not be an issue.

Super

By Viaggiatore |

The best restaurant I have tried in New York, the manager is the manager are two wonderful people. He was my point of reference!

Was recommended by our Hotel

By blanch02 |

Was recommended by our Hotel as we wanted pizza. We ate outside by the road in an undercover area soaking up the atmosphere. The pizzas were excellent just like Napoli. Gluten free pizza base also available with selection of meat, pasta & vegetarian options. Dessert was a large cannoli with white chocolate filling. Would recommend this restaurant

Soggy pizza ...

By noel g |

Disappointing - pizza was soggy on the bottom and could not get anyone's attention to rectify. Not authentic Italian, and the place was really narrow and kind of claustrophobic.

Boff

By Leiticia G |

AVERAGE... Small amount, lots of noise upstairs. Parmigiana and lasagna, as well as tiramisu, a classic at a steep price. Nice little moment, the waiters arguing during the service in Italian too 🤣😂.

Good food and service

By Gbonwitt |

Enjoyed the pizzas. Had the Macarona Promodoro, Gnocchi and ravioli. All three are recommended, especially Macarona. Good service.

real pizza napoletana

By Francesca N |

I have been here many times throughout many years, I always have pizza. This time I chose pizza with mozzarella di bufala and it was good.

Amazing!

By S Sousa |

We had the buratta cheese to start which was perfect! The gnocchi was mouth watering and the pizza fantastic! Highly recommend the food.

To eat Italian food

By Marco M. |

For those who like Neapolitan pizza, the pizza is very good Spaghetti carbonara needs improvement Very good cacio e pepe Good coffee in a cup I count as usual in New York Beware of water It costs $9.00 The staff speaks Italian and are also too kind

Not a good pizza but very good, even by Italian standards and also Gluten Free!!!

By Frozen_72 |

Definitely the best pizza (I would say delicious!!) we ate in New York. The thing that gives credit to the place is that even the Gluten Free one for my celiac wife was exceptional! And I assure you that it is not easy to find a decent one or to work with a gluten-free flour... The service was impeccable, with staff always present but not intrusive. My kids LOVED everything they ate here, including some delicious lemon sorbet. The prices are obviously not exactly cheap, but we are in New York and apart from the air you breathe you have to pay for everything... Certainly more than recommended! Thanks again for how we were welcomed and "looked after". PS. After all, here there is an Italian in charge of everything, and there is nothing to be done, you can feel it in the kitchen!

We loved it!

By Heather G |

We lucked out and got seats at the bar. Had a great time! We loved the delicious bruschetta, pizza, Branzino, broccoli rabe and pasta.

Expensive for a fast food experience

By Justine P |

Good food but hard to enjoy when you are being rushed to leave! We probably would have rated this restaurant higher as the pizza and pasta was good - but in terms of experience - it is really lacking! We felt so rushed we did not have time to actually enjoy our wine. When asked if we wanted dessert and coffee as the main course was cleared we said ‘not yet’ and were promptly bought the bill and hovered until we paid (even though we had not finished our bottle of wine). Okay - so no time to let food go down before choosing more. We went for coffee and dessert somewhere else. Also and it is a pet hate of mine - they clear plates whilst others in the family are still eating.

Simply Magnificent

By Marcusjf |

Simply Magnificent Simply the best place I have eaten in NY, really Napolitan food, extremely kind staff, I will not name but the concierge, going through the manager to the waiters all kind and courteous, the chef's assistant too. We ate a Minestrone soup, a Lasagna Napoletana and a second chef recommendation dish with a perfectly cooked meat with potato puré. From Panacotta Dessert. BRAVO, MOLTO BRAVO, SEI BRAVISSIMO !!!!

Good food with slow service

By Brendan S |

What distinguishes PizzArte from other Italian restaurants is the delicious "pizza sandwich" - one slice of pizza upside down on top of another slice; a filling and tasty lunch option. The service was extremely slow, however, both in taking the order and in delivering it.

We LOVED the pizza! Great service too!

By Geobiscuits |

We have 2 in our family with Celiac who are quite sensitive to contamination. We had the MOST amazing gluten free pizza AND no contamination! I can't recommend the pizza enough! Those without Celiac in our family had regular crust pizza and agreed the gluten free crust was actually better! LOVED the Quarto Formaggio pizza! We made reservations as it did get busy at lunch.

Very good pasta and pizza. Convenient for MOMA.

By Waterloonie |

Delicious food. Very good service. Our group had a variety of pizzas and pasta and everyone was happy. Easy to combine with a visit to MOMA.

Delicious pizza

By Geo |

Simple, laid-back place Elegant! Great customer service people, they speak Spanish. Delicious food ! Wine list, very varied beer

Horrible experience for families

By Liran P |

We came on rain after AMNH visit and they didn’t let us in because of a stroller. They had plenty of place in 2nd floor and outside but probably thought that a table with baby and kids will give them less money… They wanted us to leave the stroller folded on 1st floor although the baby was sleeping. Lucky we found much better place across the street which was extremely nice and tasty (Pazza Notte)

Best Gluten Free Pizza in New York

By BradBSpurs |

Best Gluten Free Pizza I’ve ever had. Forced to be Gluten Free 5+ years ago but this is even better than regular pizza.

Great gluten free crust pizza

By odjohnp |

Outstanding meal at PizzArte. Son had a great pizza and wife enjoyed the ravioli. Also had an exceptional gluten free crust pizza with mushroom and sausage. For drinks a couple of nicely flavored lemonades. Great food and staff was outstanding very attentive and pleasant.

Pizza without gluten

By Vittorio G |

we read about this pizzeria in the forum of Italian celiacs and decided to try. the oven is only one but talking to the owner it seems that they know how to do well. they also make gluten-free focaccia and the Latin waitress is very prepared. the pizza is very good and we had no consequences. the place is very elegant . the owner is a little nervous but willing to respond. we recommend it very. good good good.

Best restaurant in NY

By bella7890 |

I’ve lived in New York for 10 years (and within 50 miles for 30) and this is the restaurant I recommend the most often to family and friends. They serve delicious pizza and pastas, have a warm Italian vibe, and are perfect for a date, dinner with friends, or work event.

Terrific Pizza & Pasta

By Eddie W. |

Payed a visit to PizzArte yesterday, 1/19/22. Outstanding pizza. Got a “Boscaiola” pizza, which has tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, & sausage. The toppings were all good & the crust was exceptional. Also got the Cavatelli with cauliflower in a creamed black truffle sauce. Delicious. Prices are a little steep considering the portions, but it’s Manhattan, so whaddya gonna do? Nice bossa nova music & pleasant atmosphere. We would return.

Not bad

By WarwickH |

A good place on 55th Street for a quick bite to eat. Service good. Food good. And very handy to our hotel.

Small but perfect for families

By Neetzuk |

We were looking for somewhere to eat after our visit to Central Park that was family friendly and not expensive. This place was perfect. The staff were very attentive and bought out my son's pizza before adults food came out as it was going to take longer to prepare. My son loved the pizza, it was fresh and yummy. The bill for 4 of us was $85 including one beer. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Pizzas to die for!

By Mary Ann |

Pizzas here are to die for! Very thin crust, abundant on toppings and from high quality, everything very tasty! Calzone deserves an special mention, the crust was incredible! And lots of filling! Service was very attentive and fast. Reservation are needed if you want to have dinner, especially on Saturday night.

Great pizza, wonderful service

By skytone27 |

Literally the best pizza we've tasted in years! Service was exceptional, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

We had dinner at this Italian restaurant in New York during our trip. The owner welcomed us and made us feel at home. Friendly and kind staff, great food! We highly recommend it

Pizza pasta good quality

By Pete B |

Great pizza's and delicious pasta, also the cocktails were incredible, service was excellent apart from the maitre d who came across quiet rude pacing around scouling at his staff!!

Super pizza’s

By Dutchy911 |

We ordered pizza to go as Pizzart was close to our hotel and wanted to eat in our room in preparation of the NY marathon. The wood oven and dedicated staff prepare super tasteful pizza’s! We recommend the highly.

Like at home...in New York♥️

By Piero I |

This restaurant had been reported to us by friends before leaving Italy. We tried it on the first evening and returned for another 3 evenings, just enough time to try a "local" variant and understand that PizzArte would become our "culinary shell" of our week-long holiday in NYC. Excellent cuisine, good level and quality... Italian. Pizza Verace… is superb. The homemade pasta... the friarelli are a delight for the palate (served with a warm focaccia). The desserts are fantastic. But the thing that struck us most was the availability and generous "all Italian" professionalism of the owner, the restaurant manager and the staff who pampered us and made us feel at home. What can I say... at the end of the long and exhausting New York walks (average 12 km per day), knowing that we could be refreshed in a reliable and tasty way made us feel so good. I recommend it to those who, far from Italy, do not want to explore different cuisines too much, preferring to invest their energy in other types of curiosity. Finally... well done everyone from PizzArte in NYC 🤗🙏

A real Pizza!!!

By konami7 |

Do you want real Italian pizza in New York? This is one of the few places where you can eat it. They also make pasta and other Italian food, of a very good standard. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommend it to those like us who have eaten American food for a week and needed to taste the flavors of home. For Americans, however, I say, come here to try a real pizza. Optimal !!!

Nice restaurant with art on the walls

By StephenCross |

Pizzarte is on 54th Street between 5th and 6th. Nice bright restaurant with seating upstairs and downstairs. Nice vegetarian menu. Art on the walk is interesting. The pizza’s are very good.

Delicious pizza

By Sören G |

We got a table for 6 without a reservation. The service is great. The staff are super nice, but the manager or boss is a bit nervous. The food is very tasty. The price is average

Very good

By annemaBirmingham |

A very good pizza indeed and an excellent vanilla ice cream. Wine was also nice. Service was very random and not personal this is where they would make a difference

This place has very good food.

By Angel |

This place has very good food. It has gluten free options and tasted very good. The waiters were very good and nice to the people, I hope you go here because it’s a very good place to eat.

very disappointed with such an inappropriate and disrespectful attitude towards their clients

By Ринат A |

Yesterday after a walk around New York we visited Pizzarte, all the seats upstairs were taken and we were offered seats at the bar counters near the exit to the cafe, we sat down, made an order - Spaghetti all’Astice with lobster and Salmone alla Grilla with vegetables. My 6 year old son had lemonade from Dunkin' Donuts in his hand, which we took on the way while looking for a cafe, an Italian manager flew up to us and started yelling at us rudely and scolding us for coming in with a drink, that this is prohibited by law and can lead to a lawsuit for 5 million dollars, thereby scaring my son, it looked like he wanted to throw us out into the street. I said, what can I do if my son has already come in with a drink, and we made an order already? He continued yelling and screaming, then went to scold the workers for allowing this. I had already lost my appetite, I was very upset, but we were very hungry and we needed to go to the airport, so we decided to stay and eat. Because I am a lawyer , I immediately started looking for laws that prohibit bringing drinks with you, and found only internal rules, and there was no talk of lawsuits for 5 million dollars, the Italian manager wanted to intimidate me and mislead me, which does him no honor, just disgusting behavior. No complaints about the food - it was delicious, the girl working at the cafe who accompanied us came up and apologized for the behavior of her manager, for which I am grateful to her, this smoothed out the impression. This manager didn't even have the courage to come up and apologize for his unacceptable behavior. But in general, I was very disappointed with such an inappropriate and disrespectful attitude towards their clients, I would not recommend this place to people who respect themselves

A few steps from Moma, a great Margherita (also gluten-free)

By puntogira |

Regardless of the somewhat dubious Neapolitan origins of the property, we stop for a quick lunch on the way out of Moma. The daisies that arrived at the table are more than acceptable on an Italian level, in fact I would say excellent, thanks to good ingredients, a capable hand and a wood-fired oven. Honorable mention for the gluten free version, with a truly excellent dough. Kind service, correct times, price in the area 20 dollars per pizza plus accessories, a half bloodbath for the Italian "exchange" but in Manhattan it goes like this...

The name says it pizza art

By Lotte B |

REALLY great napolese pizza (thin but a bit softer) and absolutely amazing Italian wines. We had the Rosso di Montalcino

Best pizza in New York

By RachNewcastl |

We wandered in purely out of desperation as we were so hungry and had gotten a bit lost!! So happy to have gotten lost as this was the best Pizza I have ever eaten in my life...so it must be the best pizza in New York right!? Lovely waiters / waitresses, really friendly. Highly recommend 😊

Great homemade ravioli!

By Dorin |

I took the chef's ravioli and my friend took a pizza, both were delicious! Excellent service and the price are very reasonable for new york. Highly recommended.

Underwhelming

By Vinny |

Staff looked unhappy and inexperienced. Price / Quality terrible. Not normal that this restaurants has high ratings. Scam.

Rushed atmosphere, mediocre pizza, cramped space

By SuomalainenTuristi |

Rushed atmosphere, cramped space and mediocre pizza. This was far from a nice dinner over a pizza. The space upstairs is way too dense. Waiters rushing by make it an awful experience. No peace at all. The attitude was of waiters was also clear, just rush customers through as fast as possible even when the restaurant wasn’t full. Pizza was mediocre at best. Topping were definitely not high quality.

Not only pizza

By 1mammamia |

When we walked inside this 2 story lithe pizza joint we couldn't imagine we would find a fantastic pizza made personally by 2 young pizzaioli from Naples Italy, and a perfect dessert like torta alla ricotta. Interesting the appetizers, with the tasty eggplant parmigiana.

Very nice

By EliLL1408 |

Very nice food and service when we came here. Both got pizzas and they were really good. The only reason it didn’t get 5 is it’s just very cramped. Which is fine for nyc, still a nice place to go!

Not Vegan Friendly

By Christina E |

I picked this restaurant over another because it said vegan options. The vegan option was a tomato based pasta - that’s basically it. When I asked to make another dish without cheese or cream, I was told they don’t do that. Even the pizza they couldn’t tailor it to my diet. They were not willing to accommodate any changes to a dish on their menu. Fair, that is their policy - but don’t state that you have vegan options. You have one! Secondly it was so warm in there. We couldn’t wait to eat and get out. Disappointing experience.

If I wanted to be insulted I would have gone to Cencio in Rome!

By Youngyoung1998 |

Let’s quickly recap what happened in the first days of May 2025 at Pizzarte: I enter the restaurant and what I assume to be the owner, a very kind and welcoming gentleman, accompanies us to the table of 3 that we had requested and explains some things about the menu. Then our orders are taken by the most rude waiter I have ever met: you will recognize him if you go to the place, he is a bald gentleman to whom we order appetizers, as well as main courses and to whom we explicitly ask "two Cokes in a can". This waiter brings them to us in two glasses already poured: I therefore kindly ask to have them in the can, as already requested when ordering, because we would have liked to divide those two cans into three and in the glasses already poured we could not. The waiter brings the two cans, I receive them and in a polite and polite way I reply "thank you very much"; he turns away and exclaims in a not so low voice "thank you very much to the ***". Needless to say, we left on the table the appetizers that in the meantime had just arrived and we headed without any hesitation to the exit. Little side note: The owner I mentioned at the beginning unfortunately did not follow the scene because he was not in the restaurant at that time but was at the entrance and welcomed customers: personally I feel sorry for this person because you can immediately sense that he is a passionate person of his work, unlike his collaborator. P.s. Given how much, it is obvious that I cannot comment on the quality of the food. Best regards.

Gluten free

By Elisabetta G |

We found this place through an app and read the gluten free reviews. We took the pizza margherita and specified the joy. The gluten free pizza really good. Congratulations.

Real pizza

By Laura G |

real pizza prepared by authentic Italians, they have a gluten-free option ... simply delicious, if you're someone who enjoys pizza, you need to try it

Solid Italian Food

By Kareem SB. |

My wife and I made a reservation. Once we arrived to PizzArte they asked if we had a reservation, which we did make through Trip Advisor. They guided us up the stairs onto the second floor. I was surprised to find out that all the tables were empty. I guess we didn’t actually need a reservation? Service is quite slow. We needed Parmesan Cheese, I had to physically go down the stairs to call the waiter. Disappointing. Food was brilliant. Pizza and pasta excellent!

Really great choice for dinner!

By MarcoPoloGB |

My husband and I decided to try this place based on reviews here - we weren’t disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was good quality and the atmosphere was buzzing. Don’t be put off by the street entrance - the best seating is on the second floor so ask to eat upstairs.

A Bit Disappointing

By Clare46408 |

We used to live in the area and love our pizza! We were excited to try this one based on the reviews. We had the 12” margarita pizza with fresh basil. It was good and reminiscent of pizzas we have had in Italy. However, the crust was very soggy and it was impossible to pick up a slice as the topping just slid off. The taste was good. We liked the outdoor eating area (they have heaters so it’s comfortable even if the weather’s a little chilly). Wine was $13/glass so not the cheapest but it was very good. We may stop back at some point during our visit and pick up cannolis as the reviews on them seem good and our hotel is nearby. Our server was excellent.

Good italian restaurant

By ELO |

This is A nice Italian restaurant with properly Italian food at moderate prices. We were very satisfied with the food. We Also experienced good service. We will recommend this restaurant!

Worth a visit.

By mebingley |

Had a delicious gluten-free pizza. Ambiance wasn’t super lively- but it was a Monday. I was asked if I (as a solo person) wanted still or carbonated water. I was surprised to be given an entire bottle for $9. Otherwise, it was great.

They bring great bread and very good olive oil.

By Lynda S |

It was a great restaurant, great food , good service. We had a wonderful calamari, arugula, quinoa, avocado salad. We ordered the margarita pizza and was great. The staff was great. Definitely go there.

Great Italian

By FrequentFlier753261 |

We drove by taxi past the restaurant and considered it a simple pizzeria, where you conveniently order a pizza and take it home. A visit to the site surprised us completely. This is a very fine Italian with excellent cuisine and excellent wines. My insider tip is the grilled Octopus, which was one of the best I've ever eaten. The visit is highly recommended.

Fabulous fast food for any budget in the heart of Midtown Manhattan

We were seated promptly at bar seating on arrival as walk-ins. The restaurant is deceptively spacious with additional upstairs seating for pre booked guests. Ordered two margarita cocktails and a pizza each. Watched Flavio, the mixologist, taking great pride in his creations. The drinks arrived swiftly, followed quickly by two of the best pizzas. The restaurant boasts a friendly and authentic atmosphere and extremely competitively priced menu. We were in and out within 30 minutes (our choice). So glad we happened upon this little gem. Needless to say, highly recommend!

Watch for water price.

By Leslie S |

My son and his family of five arrived shortly before the remaining seven in our party. The waiter asked for the water preference,, sparkling or flat. Tap water was not mentioned so my son assumed “flat” would be the no-cost choice. Several bottles were brought to the table during dinner and more were automatically replaced without request when they were empty. In getting the bill I was shocked to see $63 in water charges! When I discussed it with the waiter, he said he had offered sparkling, flat and tap but three people in the party who heard that original conversation confirm that “tap” was never mentioned. So beware of that little trick. Also, our upstairs dining area was extremely loud, but as I said, before , the food was good

Unbelievable gluten free and normal pizza, wine and

By Eve |

Unbelievable pizza, wine and desserts. I’ve had pizza and panacotta at the best restaurants in Italy, USA and more. The pizza was cooked to perfection to rival any pizza I’ve had in Italy and perhaps better. Fabulous service and attention and a good selection of wine and after dinner drinks. Will come back!!!

Great experience... and pizza!

By Roberto D |

A piece of Naples in New York. We had delicious pizzas (Parmigiana, Totó) which really reminded us of the ones made in Naples. Simply excellent. Very good desserts too. Good service, great place.

Pizza and homemade pastas were just what we were looking for..

By MJC859 |

Quaint little restaurant near our Midtown Hilton hotel room. Pizza was excellent. Home made pastas very good. Olives provided versus typical bread offering - were very good.

Special

By Teresa P |

To be said that I never look abroad for Italian restaurants after bad experiences but in this pizzeria you eat really bene.Personsle very kind pizza delicious certainly by our standards very expensive a Margherita 20 dollars from us does not exist, but in New York these prices are normale.Comunque if you are looking for a good pizza I recommend it.

Everything delicious

By Sweetfannyadams |

We had a great meal here. Two of us had pizza, which was great. Youngest son had the pasta special, which was ravioli stuffed with ham and veal, with a truffle sauce. He loved it. Husband had a 22oz ribeye (well, we shared it) which was just perfect - tasty and juicy. It was very noisy, but buzzy. Lovely evening.

Great Neapolitan-Style Pizza

By Donn V |

I’ve been to PizzArte a half a dozen times over the past three years and have enjoyed it every time. Their Neapolitan style pizza is very authentic and delicious. The pastas are also quite tasty.

Pizza - Numero Uno dell mondo. The best pizza in the world - the one that is speciality, with spicy honey. That’s all you need to know!

Great food but please fix the lights!

By Peej M |

PizzArte is a really nice pizza and pasta restaurant in the Midtown area, not too far from the hotel we were staying at. As vegetarians, New York dinner options were a bit limited but we were pleased to see a range of options on the menu at this place. Staff were exceedingly friendly and efficient, and we were soon furnished with a nice refreshing carafe of water at our table before ordering. We opted for pasta dishes (as we'd eaten pizza the night before) and the Gnocci was particularly tasty and comes highly recommended. The only negative point for us was the lighting in the place. As my wife suffers from epilepsy, the wall lights flickering really didn't do her any favours so we had to eat up rather speedily to get out of the place in case she had a seizure (thankfully she didn't!) but I'd definitely pass that on as something to take a look at, as some light-sensitive epileptics could be in serious trouble if affected by those lights.

For the second year in a row best gluten free pizza in the world

By Alberto1968 |

Anytime I find myself in New York I cant help going to Pizzarte. This year I will double up, been there last week I will go there immediately before the New York City marathon. The place has two floors, I recommend you to book in advance since I am not the only fan of this place. They will sit you on the second floor, modern, welcoming and smart enough. You will be able to pick your gluten free pizza cooked the neapolitain style, soft dough with thick crust. First class ingredients from mozzarella to the tomatoes. Result is just perfect. Whoever criticizes this pizza has not got a clue of what a true italian pizza tastes like. A very picky italian.

The perfect dinner

The best Italian pizza in NYC, the best atmosphere, impeccable attention, the owner attentive to everything, we were attended by Jeferson very efficient and speaks perfect Spanish.

The real Neapolitan pizza

By Giuseppe P |

I got the take-away Margherita pizza for two consecutive evenings and what can I say, it's the best in New York, the real Neapolitan pizza. I highly recommend it.

Gluten Free Pizza was fantastic

By 162royk |

It was amazing to us how few restaurants in NYC had legitimate GF options on our recent trip to NYC. PizzArte, has a delicious dough with creative and tasty pizza offering. I’m not GF but my wife is. We shared a pie and have to say it was one of the best GF pizza’s I’ve tried anywhere

Uncooked, cold.

By Graham |

Visited this place last week, table for 2. Ordered 2 pizzas, which were served within 5/6 minutes. Both pizzas were uncooked in the middle, cold and slimy. My wife left hers. I tried to eat some of mine but gave up. Bottle of beer 8 dollars. Many other pizza places nearby to try. I wont be back to this one.

Great value in Midtown

By jloug |

Solid 4.5 restaurant. Our cocktails were well-made and the beer was cold - always a good start to a meal. Our waiter (from Naples) was extremely friendly and helpful, giving excellent recommendations throughout the meal. The zucchini with mint and garlic vegetable primi was unexpectedly delicious. Just as good was my pappardelle with zucchini and shrimp, and my husband's salad with seared scallops. It's not a super fancy place, but clean and simply, but carefully, decorated. Super choice if you want a lovely meal without going broke.

Excellent!

By Jessica S |

We were in search of homemade pasta near Rockefeller and we found it here … just a few blocks away! Delicious pizza and pasta / sauce were just perfect! Great service. Refreshing sangria! Exceeded our expectations!

60 minute ultimatum from Manager

By Joseph F |

We were in NYC for the marathon and had made reservations weeks before knowing it was a very busy weekend. As soon as we arrived the manager came over and told us to hurry up and order he needed this table in 60 minutes. WTF It was hard to enjoy the meal as they hovered trying to hurry us out. The manager told us to come back another time when it was not so busy. I would never go back there again and suggest you do the same because if it is a little too busy the manager will make sure you leave quickly.

Best Gluten Free pizza ever!

By Robert M |

I've been Celiac for 10 years and I've been missing pizza since then, I have never eaten a pizza like this! My family tried it and they were amazed how good and authentic it was! Whether you want GF or not, the Napoletane pizza is to die for! Try the Cavatelli is also crazy, I was told by my kids. A must to do!

Good pasta

By Johnmclane |

After visiting MoMA we decided to eat at this restaurant. Nice two-story premises. Correct service. Good pasta and pizzas. The price is a bit high, as in most restaurants of this type in the city, if you also add the "mandatory" tip. Advisable

The Art of Pizza…

By Andrea L |

Italian flavors and hospitality, top quality products... praise for the Neapolitan pizza cooked in a wood oven... we were there 4 evenings, they never disappointed... the price, consequently, in line with New York standards, but well repaid by the quality of the products.

Good compromise in New York

By Antonio |

Given the positive reviews we decided to have dinner in this restaurant, I know that when you go to places far from Italy you have to adopt a completely different measurement for the evaluation, but I think that given the quality of the raw materials the chef could also improve the presentation and especially the cooking. We took a first and second of the side dishes desserts and also a daisy. The pizza is without infamy and without praise, the first was good but a bit 'soggy pasta, the second fried fish was delicious and just as the dessert.

Best. Pizza. Ever. Gluten-free or otherwise!

By BoyMommax2 |

Best. Pizza. Ever. And mine was gluten-free! I will come back to NY just to eat here again!! I went with the recommendation of the bartender - prosciutto w arugula and tomatoes. It was amazing. The best crust I’ve ever eaten. And the one I ordered was GF! It’s been ages since I’ve had such a chewy, but crispy crust. Literally the best pizza I’ve ever had.

Exceptional

By Mary Y |

Every year we look forward to going here! They have amazing food, as well as the best gluten free options. The wait staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend this resturant.Sherley was exceptional !

- GLUTEN FREE stellar pizza -

By laurad732016 |

My husband was at this excellent restaurant two consecutive evenings on a business trip. In Italy he has never eaten such a stellar gluten-free pizza. Practically a delicious gluten free Neapolitan pizza I've never found before! Seeing is believing, highly recommended! Well done and congratulations to all the Italian staff and owners.

Italian Style

By Lydia W |

Italian style pizza and authentic Italian pasta recipes are not easy to come by, but you can find them at Pizzarte. I had the Burrata pizza, as recommended by the waiter, and my husband took the Tartufata (senza carne perché è vegetariano). Other dishes ordered included Carbonara pasta, gnocchi alla romana, and arancini. We sampled the chocolate gelato, tiramisu, and a few other desserts. The food hit the spot, and was really good. My dad of 65 years commented that it reminded him of our trip to Italy last summer. Service was amazing. Dishes came out promptly, and everything was satisfactory. Prices for primi and pizza range from 16-24. Drinks range from 7-15. Because of COVID restrictions, they are checking your temperature at the entrance. There is a parking garage right next store that offered parking at 17 for 12 hours. There is also metered marking on the street.

All in all a nice quick dinner

By Roberto |

Let me start by saying that I am Italian and I am writing a review on an Italian restaurant abroad, which is why it might seem slightly more severe than those who are not from Italy, although I must say that in this place they have replicated everything quite well, the arancini are excellent and also the meatballs, the pizza dough is slightly hard, but for America it's a decent pizza. I would definitely go back to try something else, the service was also kind and quick, with some small inattentions but the place was also full. Congratulations you are on the right track

Oh what a treat

By Suzie M |

Having had a load of really bad pizzas recently, this find, near Central Park, was Nirvana. 4 of us had “normal” ones, and my daughter had a gf one and all of them were magnificent. Daughter also able to have a gf beer. So sheer heaven for coeliacs. The rest of the menu looked very tempting, but we were on a pizza mission, so unable to swerve. Highly recommended.

A good option if you’re near central park

By xBertieTrax |

Positives: Pizza was very tasty, with lots of interesting options. We had the parmigiana which I’d recommend. The interior is also very nicely done and you can sit at the bar and watch the pizzas being made. The location is very good if you’re spending the day visiting Central Park, Moma etc Negatives: We found the service a little unfriendly and the pizzas a little on the small size for the price, compared to other places we’ve tried. Overall I would definitely return if I was in the area.

Pizza 🍕 is pizza!

By Lorenza P |

We had dinner here on the advice of Italians who live in NYC, Neapolitan pizza cooked in a wood oven! Let's say that for being abroad the pizza was impressive and we even returned 2 evenings later also ordering a fried dish! Fair prices for NYC! Advised!

Excellent pizza - really good

By SaqibQ |

Pluses: 1) Authentic Italian crust pizzas. In fact, pizzas were brilliant 2) Good range of items on the menu 3) Nice ambience 4) Fast service 5) Great decor Minuses 1) None

Real Italian restaurant

By francesca c |

Real Italian restaurant with ingredients really from our country. We tried both pasta and pizza, both very good. For those who want to eat Italian, this place is a great solution. Very good value for money especially for being in downtown New York

Delicious and satisfying

By Jennifer L |

Fresh sauce and dough. Speedy, prompt service. The calamari was a perfect start and our table was the best in the place. Highly recommend.

Nice pizza relaxed atmosphere

By Binky |

Nice pizza relaxed atmosphere good service my favourite restaurant in New York on the visit so far. Enjoyed the Brooklyn ipa too

Perfectly prepared pizza and wonderful

By Mark K |

Fantastic menu selection. Perfect wood fired pizza with a passionate manager and attentive staff. Was an absolute pleasure to eat here. Typical NYC cramped quarters, but the cocktails and food made it a dream. Pizzas are thin and smoky and the ingredients are fresh and perfectly balanced. The desserts are to die for - cannoli, lemon cake (?) and flourless chocolate cake. Cocktails amazing - grapefruit martini, prosecco and a Manhattan. Go. Just go.

Great Pizza and Ricotta Cheesecake!

By CCdreamer |

My wife and I went here for dinner tonight and were so glad that we did. The service was excellent, the pizza was superb, and the vanilla ricotta cheesecake was the perfect ending for our dinner. We would gladly return.

Still OK; Be careful when ordering water!

By Sven |

The overall result was still ok. Right at the beginning they annoyed us because they only offered us bottled water at 9 USD a liter and not the usual tap water. The locals around still ordered and received tab water. We were refused a children's portion for the completely tired 9 year old. The food was solid but really nothing special for an Italian. The base of the pizza was thin but also very soft. Even when asked, there was no pizza knife. The two pastas (Amtriciana and Bolognese) were ok. I've eaten Bolognese better in particular. The Parmigiana Melanzana was also ok. The restaurant was decorated in a cool way and we felt the same way about the waiters. Fake politeness but actually totally disinterested.

Great food

By M C R |

We had nine people for Christmas Eve dinner and the food was excellent, service good enough for a holiday and not rushed, which was a good thing!

Terrible Pizza

By Compass06078800558 |

I am English, asked the girl at front counter to recommend a chicken bbq pizza. Got back to the hotel with some bits of chicken in a drizzly sauce, with a couple of roast like potatoes. Christ give me a dominoes.

Neapolitan excellence in NY

By macchininarossarossa |

Neapolitan pizza in New York. Perfect dough, ingredients of the highest quality and authentic flavors that report directly to Naples. Even the frying of fish fully met expectations. The place is nice and welcoming. The owner then stands out for courtesy and great class: you perceive the passion and respect for tradition. Highly recommended for those looking for true quality and a touch of Italian style.

Great restaurant!

By onep39 |

Great home style cooked Italian food in a friendly setting. Also very convenient to shops! The pizza was spectacular and the pasta was cooked to near perfection. Highly recommend this place!

A little corner of Italy in the heart of New York!

By Svitlana K |

A little corner of Italy in the heart of New York! All the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with just the right touch of charm to make you feel like you’ve stepped into a cozy restaurant in Italy. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and genuine. A truly lovely experience from start to finish.

Fantastic pizza in a homely atmosphere

By Catherine B |

What a pleasure it was to have dinner in that small pizza place. The minute you enter the restaurant, the staff start to make your day better simply by being the nicest people you could wish for. The pizza was excellent, as were all the other items we ate and drank. Don’t hesitate to eat here!

Far from Italy

By Fabi01212 |

We had dinner one night. To welcome us an Italian gentleman (it will be the only Italian thing). Cute place with bench seats on the ground floor. The staff is not Italian, this is also reflected in the dishes. Bad pizza, undercooked, with the dressing that sails on a mediocre pasta. The tomato sauce in its pallor cries revenge (but not in Italian). Finally, NON-hot dishes make pizza inedible after a while. The calzone arrives flat, without tomato inside but only outside. More than a calzone it looked like a pizza wrapped in an envelope. After a sufficient chocolate cake and 2 coffees, we pay without anyone asking us if everything was fine or not (normal synonym of Italianness and hospitality). Italy in this restaurant is more than miles away from New York.

Pizza disappointment

By Alissa O |

Stopped for dinner and ordered the rustichella pizza. There was a lot of dough in comparison to the toppings. Additionally, when you picked up a slice to eat all of the minimal toppings fell off instantly, including the cheese. May be because of the large amounts of oil used as was very greasy/oily. Would not go back as far better pizza elsewhere in NYC.

Best Gluten free pizza I've ever had.

Best Gluten Free pizza I've ever had. Friendly and attentive service and delicious cocktails. Try the Stone Negroni

Gluten free pizza!

Absolutely delicious gluten free pizza! Cute place with other options for the non gluten free patrons. Friendly service and nice art work.

Disappointed after reading other reviews - would not go back!

By Valerie H |

Very disappointed after reading other reviews which lead to us choosing this restaurant. Our Pizzas were under cooked in middle and burnt on edges - content was very poor in quantity and taste. Manager/owner? was unwelcoming unlike other staff who were friendly and attentive. He seemed to be watching and following staff the whole time we were there.

Great location, good food and reasonably priced

By dmkeith |

A gem of a find so close to lots of hotels and just off 5th and 6th Avenue. Menu has ample choice even for the pickiest of eaters. Food was delicious and couldn’t fault the service we received. Cost was very reasonable for New York which was a big surprise when you checked other restaurants in the same area so I’d suggest checking this place out before going to a more expensive Italian eateries. Lovely atmosphere, good food all at a reasonable cost, win win.

A taste of Italy near central park

By Diane B |

The pasta with seefood was delicious, as good as we had in Italy. Service is fast and the waiters are very nice. We recommend it without hesitation!

Best Gluten Free Pizza!

By Kris N |

I still can’t believe this pizza was gluten free! Best I’ve ever had. I should have gone for a second night! Great service, good cocktails, perfect atmosphere. Quick and friendly service!

Great pizza!

By Geoff C |

As a family we love pizza and were looking forward to having some good pizza in NYC, but it seems to be quite difficult to find good pizza in midtown Manhattan. Fortunately we found this place. This restaurant serves excellent Neapolitan pizza. We shared a good Mediterranean salad as a starter too. Good service, friendly service and reasonable prices (by the standards of NYC) make this a great find. Highly recommended.

The name will fool you

By Travel Life💕 |

This is really an Italian restaurant. They do have pizza but they have lots of pasta as well. I got the risotto and the others got pizza. They are from Naples so they have a little different idea on what traditional Italian is. The wine selection was great too

A terrible pizza

By Cricri |

My son and I stayed in December. We chose this pizzeria thinking of simple food close to the hotel... as an Italian and moreover from Campana I was ashamed of how a product is taken out of Italy which in its simplicity represents Naples and Italy. My pizza was raw and had a terrible consistency, my son's was burnt...in short, it had to be returned to the sender. Instead we said nothing and left to avoid unnecessary discussions. What a shame it's the only place in New York where we ate badly... right at home!

Well done, good, good

By federica c |

As Italians outside our homeland, after days of junk food we landed in this place where we ate amazing pasta and pizza. My Sorrento gnocchi were as delicious as the other pastas my family gets. Well done, good, good

HAPPY DISCOVERY

By Mandrake974 |

On holiday with the family, we took 3 daisies to take away.... that made us in 5 minutes net.... meanwhile 4 pleasant chats with the Milanese director of the local Valentino.... who explained that the pizza makers and the chef did 6 months of internship in Naples.... Actually the pizza margherita..... Neapolitan doc....chapeau!!!! Highly recommended... if you fancy an Italian cuddle!! Real mozzarella and not cheese!! Not a small detail!! Really good!!

Return Visit As Good As It Used to Be

By Frank Sories |

My spouse and I used to eat here quite often up until our last visit, which was a disaster. After swearing we'd never dine her again, we decided to give it another chance (after two years). We had a really delicious meal, consisting of the wood-fired pizza boscaiola and the carciofi salad. The former had a crust that was slightly more soggy than I would have liked but was very tasty nonetheless. Toppings were wonderful and made it an excellent choice. The salad had arugula, shaved Parmesan, and paper thin slices of crisp, raw artichoke. This is definitely something you don't see on every Italian menu, so it was a real treat. Service was friendly and efficient, and the ambience was lively. In order to dine indoors, you had to show proof of vaccination, which was reassuring. PizzArte is an excellent option if you're visiting MOMA.

Great Pizza

By Chaz G |

Popped in looking for somewhere decent to eat. We luckily got a spot at the bar for 2 people otherwise the restaurant was fully booked. The pizza was fresh and very tasty. Great selection on the menu. It's a little on the expensive side but that's to be expected because of the location. Either way, we recommend, it.

Very nice pasta lunch

By kristaPGHPA |

Very nice experience. We stopped to dine a few days before Thanksgiving. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. This restaurant offers pizza, pasta, salad and entrees for lunch. The pasta is homemade so we decided we had to try it. I had the zucchini pasta, my daughter had pomodoro. We were served a bread basket and olive oil while waiting. Our entrees were fabulous as was the service.

costs his kidneys

By Mara F |

the water was too expensive we paid 9 💵 two burratas 52 dollars and the obligatory tip of minimum 25 dollars we were not welcomed too well plus the carbonara was completely without salt and there was no pecorino

Disappointingly Mediocre

By Doug H |

PizzArte is grossly over-rated and a confusing mix of 3-Star/5-Star! Take the Pizza Margherita for example... The thin crust is outstanding.... a definite 5-Star... but the toppings were mundane to the point I can only describe the pizza as Boring... Boring Pizza???? There were only two basil leaves on the whole pizza... no hint of garlic... and a tomato sauce so mild that it barely had any taste. I snuck a taste of the eggplant ravioli a friend ordered and it was very good! P.S. The staff is very nice... but forgot our salads and the breadsticks (which it turns out are great). P.P.S. Would I eat there again? Yes. Would I go out of my way to do so? No.

Great experience

By Simona R |

The staff was friendly and attentive. Really good food and quality products. The pizza very good, even gluten-free, really good.

Tasty Italian

By Dean B |

Yelp does it again! After a long day walking in NYC we were looking for a place for an easy, casual dinner and I found this restaurant in the app. My sister-in-law lives in Manhattan for years and had not heard of this place, so she was skeptical. But we were all won over by the great food and service, even on a busy night. I had their daily special ravioli and it was perfect.

Just looked for a pizza place near our hotel and came across PizzArte. The pizzas were excellent, with a lovely crust and base accompanied by a great variety of toppings.

Soggy pizza

The Verace pizza was terrible. The crust was undercooked and it was a soggy mess with 2 small basil leaves. The restaurant atmosphere, however, was nice.

Better pizza than in Italy!

I had a great pizza here, way better than many I have had in Italy! It’s a bit expensive though, but absolutely worth it to try the real Italian pizza in NYC.

Italian place where everyone speaks Italian!

Great food. Easy location. And the fact that the entire staff and nearly all of the patrons speak Italian should tip you off that this is quality Italian food. Small space...very cozy...with a menu that suits just about anyone. Definitely a repeat location!

Excellent food, very personal and friendly service. The whole experience was so perfect we ate here twice during our trip. Original Italian food, most staff also speak Italian. Highly recommended!

Consistently very good

By Y A |

We had lunch here with 8 other people in September, 2018, and did so again in September, 2019. Consistency is the word here. Service was on both occasions excellent, everyone enjoyed their food, albeit I found the special of the day, shrimp cooked on a griddle, to be a bit overcooked and hard to peel, and the zucchini that came with it was so-so. Nevertheless, the other 8 people loved the food, so I think in view of the fact that I enjoyed the food at the previous visit, and everybody else enjoyed the food both times, my shrimp dish was an aberration. I would indeed recommend this restaurant for a very good and reasonably priced lunch.
