Upbeat pre-game drinks/food

By Bill F |

Great drop in spot for food and drinks pre-baseball game. The food was good, and only a few dollars more than what the ballpark concessions charge for fish & chips, grilled chicken sandwiches, or burgers. They offer a good variety of cocktails and beers, plus they have beer to go. Their beer runs around $8-$10 as compared to $14-$16 inside the ballpark.

The Impossible Burger

By Einar A |

I came here to try the Impossible Burger and I was not disappointed. The place is a sports pub type of place with TVs on the walls. As a meat eater who's tried a lot of different vegetarian options over the years, I would say that this burger came on the top of my list. I wouldn't say it tasted like meat, but it had the kind of savoriness that meat has. But, seeing as this isn't a review of the Impossible Burger brand, but the restaurant itself, I would say that I would come back to try more if I was ever in the area again, though I would try to come when it's not crowded. Being inside the AT&T stadium I can image it can get pretty packed at times.

Impossible burger

By PeanutButters |

We came as a group of seven coworkers for lunch to try the Impossible Burger. While it was probably the best non-meat burger I've had, I was still a bit disappointed after hearing all the word-of-mouth buzz and the media coverage. It's OK -- go in with reasonable expectations.

Great Location Next to Park

By Roxygurl761 |

We grabbed dinner and drinks here before again. Since it was a game day it was insanely busy. We got there early enough to get a seat but people were soon waiting around for empty seats. There were very few small tables. Most seating is at large communal tables, Which I wasn't crazy about. As far as the food it was very good. Onion rings, fish and fries… All homemade and very fresh. If you don't mind sitting with strangers in a loud area it is a great stop for dinner before the game!

Great beer selection with good food.

By Theresa C |

Stopped in here for dinner one evening during our recent trip to San Francisco. Be sure to check the baseball schedule, as I'm sure this place gets busy when the Giants are in town. Excellent tap list of beers with many local craft offerings as well the usual suspects. Happy hour speciasl on drinks an apps as well. The food was good and everyone seemed happy wtih their meals.

great way to start a game

By JiuJitsguy |

I have only been here before or after a Giants game. The beer menu really can't be beat and it is always changing. The food is good but not great. There are many TVs going of different sporting events and the atmosphere is loud and crowded. You can enter into the park from here which is nice. You can also come and get a beer during the game if you want. You get a better beer for a much better price than they charge inside the park but it is a little bit of a walk.

Maybe a little too convenient

By Danbizzle |

This is the main bar connected to the ballpark. Decent selection of draft beers. Gets very packed, and they do an adequate job serving patrons without waiting forever. Nothing too special about the decor. Perfect for a couple of brews before the game (and you can enter the ballpark from inside the bar!) If you want more of a party-atmosphere Momo's across the street might be better.

Great place to soak up Baseball atmosphere

By LivedNCongo |

Food was good bar food with a creative twist. NACHOs are even heavier than normal. Onion Rings delicious and lighter than normal. Ahi Tuna Saland - very, very good. Bacon Jam grilled cheese -- Bacon Jam overwhelms the cheese. Server very good -- accommodated our request for volume when it was practical, i.e., after other guests left who were watching Basketball playoffs - we wanted to hear the LAA baseball game. It's good choice -- attached to AT&T Park.

Great atmosphere

By bib61150 |

Ate here before the game; really sets you up and gets you in the mood. Good service and atmosphere. Pretty basic food, nothing fancy, but well prepared and served.

That Zing Place Before A Baseball Game

By CART101 |

Went here before a game and had an assortment of yummy bar food, with some being actually unique and delicious. Uplifting spirit with a great assortment of beers and cocktails too. The best part is being able to access the park directly from the restaurant and being able to bring in two beers each! (But make sure you transfer them to plastic cups first AND get your wrist band so you can come back later).

Game Day Hangout

By JeriLG |

We visited before attending a day game and got here early. We had kids with us so it was definitely a different perspective. They had the hamburger sliders and corn dogs. The sliders took just a minute more and the server noted that there was a mix up in the kitchen and they were comped. Seriously, we did not notice that big of a time difference. Will try again without the kids ...

Not Fun

By danhenry11 |

All the other reviews talk about the pre-game experience. Well, I went after a game and they cut off beer sales pretty much immediately after we arrived. Understandable, what with liquor licenses, etc. What are you gonna do? What was totally unacceptable was they way they herded us out of the bar after last call. They hustled to get us our beers (at $9 apiece) get us our tab, and then essentially demand that we slug down the beers and get out. They really treated us poorly and could have cared less that we wanted to try to enjoy our beers. I would definitely suggest going somewhere else after the game - and given their lack of caring about customers pre-game seems pretty risky to me too.

Pleasantly surprised

By Sheldon King |

Came here to kill some time before our Alcatraz tour. We liked it so much we almost missed our boat! Servers were great and had a good selection of beers. One of the servers gave us a great suggestion for a Mexican restaurant I'll review later. Loved this place

Must EAT!

By Janet D |

This place is always crowded pre-game. Don't be shy. If 2 seats open at a 4 seater, Giants fans will gladly let you sit. Get to know people. Nachos, sliders, cauliflower side dish a must have. Staff is great!

Excellent Dinner

By 1GiantsMSo |

Took my son for dinner and got great service by David E. We each had an Evan WIlliams bourbon & seven. The ballpark burger and short ribs were delicious. We also tried a Rodenbach which had an interesting Would have ordered dessert if we had more time.

Never hit the mark - not bad, just not that good

By cybertraveler |

We went here for an event during Beer Week and we were kinda of shocked at the absolute lack of people at the restaurant. They had a decent collection of beers representing the National League West, as in breweries from National League West Cities. You couldn't order flights which in my opinion was a bad idea. We might have ordered more beers if we could have sampled them rather than ordering whole beers at 11 in the morning! Two of our party had breakfasts, which were just OK and we had a cauliflower appetizer which also was just ok. Service was hit and miss - there was a couple at another table that was getting lots of attention and had downed to champagne bottles between the two of them - to a point that I asked our waiter what the special occasion was. He just told us they are regulars. OK - well, I guess we won't be falling into that category. Proximity to ATT field is -well, CLOSE as in they have doors that go directly into the ballpark. Overall it was a B....

Place to go before Giants ganpme

By legsbell |

It's the spot to stop before a game. Go early if you want a seat. Drinks are generous and food ok. Nachos were great, fried chicken had way too much bland breading and wasn't very moist. Best part is private entrance to the game.

Back door into AT+T Park

By Richgrabber |

This spot is super for a meal and a beer before a Giants game. But the key to the high rating is that you can go from the bar into the park without going through the long lines for security. It has a door with its own security and is a secret plus.

Pass

By suendan |

Good location. Service was not very good at all. We were repeatedly overlooked, even tried waving over a waiter that waived at me then passed on. We moved from the bar to a table and paid our tab at the bar and told them we were moving to a table. Sat talking to a friend and they put reserved signs on tables around us. After about 30 minutes went to the bar to get our drinks and said we wanted to order food. They said ok and it took about another 1/2 hour to get someone to take a food order. Food was not great and all overpriced. No one ever showed up at the reserved tables. All in all it was all overpriced and not very good.

Sports Bar at the Stadium

By smj101 |

I stumbled upon this while visiting the ball park. No game in town but it was open and had games on inside. Friendly service, with a decent menu variety. They were accommodating to me by adding chicken to the mac n cheese. Food was decent, I wouldn't hesitate to go back!

burgers no fries

By belarina |

the burgers only come with potato chips unless u pay extra for french fries. the burger was 15$ with no fries. i ordered a medium burger and it was cooked to perfection. i love stopping here before the giants game , great atmosphere.

Really enjoyed this place

By love_to_travel72011 |

The staff were friendly, the place is very nice inside with multiple bars. We didn't get to sit outside but it has a cute little outdoor seating area that I'd like to sit at someday. We will probably go back next time we see a Giants game.

Next Door to Giants Park

By PsychSanAntonio |

Had lunch. Food was acceptable but nothing special. Service was attentive. The atmosphere is very nice. Probably won't return.

Overpriced with a Boring Menu

By Mark H |

WAY OVERPRICED! The decor is nice and modern. The location is excellent. The beer is almost double what you would pay anywhere else for comparable beer. The food is average to below average with nothing very unique on the menu. Appetizer chicken wings are $13 for 8 small, shriveled, previously frozen, wings. Pork Potato Skins are $10 for 2 small white potatoes. Nachos are $10 for a small plate of disgusting looking food. They skimped on the cheese, as well as all other toppings and the presentation looked like a homeless person took a dump on some tortilla chips. After the appalling appetizer experience, my friends and I decided to pass on trying any of their entrees. The service was decent but you definitely get the feeling that they are all about table-turn-over and could care less about the customers' experience. It wasn't what I'd expect, given that it is in a world class ball park. They're quick to take your money, but you don't get much in return. There are too many better places in the area for anyone to want to spend their money and time eating bland, un-appealing food at Public House.

After Game Meal

By cacsan77 |

Rushed here after Giants game and had plenty of room for our group of nine. Burgers were amazing and the pretzel bite hours da'oeuvres were to die for! Chicken sandwich with avocado was fabulous too! Good selection of beers .

A microbrewery that you can go to before during and after the game.

By CARON B |

This place seems to be the place that the locals go before a game to have a drink first. The extra added benefit is that this bar/restaurant has a private entrance into the park. Plus, you can bring in your drink and food into the ballbpark.

Fine for a quick meal and a good beer

By Maresciallonemo |

You should not consider the public house as the place you go for a great dining experience: this is a place anyway to enjoy a nice burger and choose a good beer between the great offer they have. The staff is also very kind and the several TVs broadcasting sports events make you never feel bored here. Give it a try! M.

Good burger and beer

By David C |

Ate here before a game. Get there early if you want to sit and eat. Open seating for dining on first come first served basis. watch for people to leave and grab a seat quickly. Enjoy the game ! You can enter ballpark right from the restaurant.

Before game

By WillyTRock |

Had a few hours to burn before the game so we went here for a beer. Sat right down. Service was good. Had nachos and a beer. Portions were large enough for two. Could not get regular beer only craft style is available. Price was ok. Around $40.00 with tip. Compared to the $13.00 a beer in the ballpark this was a bargain.

Good for pre and post game day food and drinks

By Davetheaddick |

A great bar under AT&T park, I’m sure that locals/regulars will have a slightly different view however, we always enjoy it here. For a place cooking food on a reasonably large scale it is very good and the beer menu is even better. There are a decent number of table servers or it is possible to be served at the bar and although it appears busy the service is quick. An added bonus is that it has its own entrance into the ballpark, and they allow you to go back to the bar to get a better price for beers that in the ballpark.

Another great lunch !!

By Mister-Markie |

Not first time here, just first review ! We came here on a no game day lunch, and it's totally different than game days (or nights ... both get this place jammed up and busy!). The place is rather large, and when crowded with standees it seems too much - but with less than 30 people for lunch it was pleasant, quiet and relaxing. The ambience is definitely pubbish, with kegs for walls, two different bars and dark wood furniture. Lots of TVs, if you'd like. The beers here are amazing in variety and taste - although I couldn't drink this time (work ... 🙄) in the past I've found some very tasty brews, all foreign and some with a kick! The food is good, as well. I did notice they didn't offer a Mac n a Cheese side that was available before, and which was delicious! Crap. Oh well, I didn't starve - we had a couple of Public House Burgers, and I had a large wedge salad (no bacon bits) and onion rings and dill pickles. Yes, that was lunch! The burgers were cooked well and one was served with fries, the other with chips. Interestingly, as a side note, you can add "fried Mac n Cheese" to a burger for $4. They still tempt me so ... The salad was larger than the side, two quarters of iceberg. I asked for no bacon, and was surprised to find lettuce for my salad! While I know that salads are usually greens, it was weird to see just a head of lettuce and dressing. Usually this type comes with diced red onions and tomatoes, for added flavor depth if not color and presentation. I would highly recommend just a little of this garnish sprinkled on top for presentation. If no bacon, it looks really boring. Blue cheese dressing is very good - needed an extra serving of it for this size salad. The onion rings were sweet and lightly battery, with a batter that easily came off - not your usual thickly bettered rings. Just right with Ranch dressing. The best part would be the pickles! Potato chip crusted and new to me here; they were dill, hot, nicely breaded - very different texture and taste of "batter" - - and with a Buffalo Ranch dipping sauce it was outstanding! Drinks were iced teas and kept filled (and refreshed with new glasses and ice as needed) by several wait staff. Service was exemplary and attentive in any way. Won't be quite the same before a game (but even then it's much better than other nearby places I've been) but the service is consistently good, as is the good and brews. Will come again - pickles !!!!

Great food before or after a SF Giants baseball game

By Rhett L |

If you want some good California cuisine, a beer or two, and ability to watch multiple sports games at once, this is your place to go. Whether you're with family or friends, it's right inside AT&T Park so very convenient meeting place before/after the game.

Excellent!

By Wendy L |

Stopped in for a quick bite before the game. Excellent food and service. Convenient to park entrance.

Great experience

By Ryan G |

We stopped in here before the Giants game and had a great time. Food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We'd go back even if there wasn't a game on. (Insider tip: If you go here before the game you can order beers at much lower prices than the stadium and take them through the gate with you.)

1 day at AT&T Park with Joel Osteen

By dadeegreg |

This Restaurant is next to AT&T park and I recommend this place because the food is fresh cooked , not processed , and the manager said they use local growers and suppliers , I had the Flat iron steak, it was great, the wife had the Southern Fried Chicken, with the soup of the day, perfect combo, plus dessert, everything was great.

Worst service, terrible management.

By vandongecm |

We came in on Thursday evening. We arrived at about 6 PM. We were meeting a friend from out of town and *thought* it would be cool to show him AT & T park and this restaurant. We had been here once before and thought it was a good scene. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to come take our order (no problem we were waiting for our friend). When we did order it took FOREVER for each menu item to come -- well those that actually showed up. We ordered the pretzels which just never made it to the table and our server never came by to check on us so we could request them. We needed to leave at 8:20 to catch the train. We FINALLY caught our server at 7:40 to bring our check (which I asked to be split. She brought back the bill and ran away (oh an the bill was not split). At 8:10 I got the attention of a manager so that we could close our bill (30 minutes without seeing our server). I told him we needed to make the train and needed to leave promptly. I mentioned some of the issues -- slow service (the restaurant was not busy). He brought back our bill -- still not split correctly and offered us a dessert -- um I just told you we needed to leave for the train? Nice way to offer something you knew we would never take. We will never come back our bring a guest. Shame on the management here!

Great beer!

By Joanne C |

We had drinks and apps here before the game and we found it to be a great place. We thought the beer selection was great as we are always looking to try new beers on vacation. The appetizers were pretty good too. We had the mini corn dogs which were quite tasty and the pretzel bread sticks which were good too. The bar tenders were very nice and on top of their game. We recommend Public House.

Better value and quality than ballpark food!

By TitaNui |

First time to the Public House since its first incarnation as 24. Much more fan -friendly before games. Great value for excellently prepared food and big selection of beers. Would've spent at least the same amount for typical ballpark food and beers. Went a couple hours before game time. Will definitely do this again.

If it is near you, and you have no options, it's a solid choice.

By OnlineConcierge |

On off game nights, if it's open, a solid pre 10pm spot to grab an affordable drink and bite. The staff is friendly, the menu isn't too complex or challenging. This is not rocket science.

Try the Impossible Burger!

By Stepsyl14 |

Visited with my vegan daughter specifically to try the Impossible (plant based) Burger. It exceeded my expectations. The Public House was uncrowded (it's not baseball season) and the service was excellent.

A great foodie locale hidden behind the beer kegs

By Mark B |

[For those of you who don't know, the Public House is actually on the ground floor of AT&T Park, home of the SF Giants. If you go, you are probably going to the game, otherwise you'd be crazy to be in the neighborhood on a game day unless you live there... and even then...] MOST people go to the Public House to load up on pre-game booze and then take a go cup through the very special side door straight into the ballpark. Not being a pre-game boozer, I sort of avoided the noisy crowd that emanates from the front door. But don't be turned off! Behind the wall of kegs is a small but smartly run "dining room" cum cocktail lounge cum beer hall that serves what is most likely the very best food at the ballpark. We celebrated a birthday there friday night perched at the end of a communal table. From the outset it was an world series experience. Paul our head waiter was smooth, personal and efficient. The communal company was informative and warm. And the food was just great. We had corn salads ("to die for"), onion rings (the real old fashion drive through kind -- clearly bad for you but absolutely delicious and perfectly done!) and pulled pork sliders (excellent and just a little kicky!). And who knew? A killer --= and I know from killer -- dessert menu! We really wanted a sampler, the only miss on their menu. Between the three of us we had the brownie sundae, the choco chip cookie ice cream sandwich and the salted caramel ice cream with trader joe's dark chocolate covered potato chips mashed in (I had them add chocolate sauce -- really, why not???). Each one was a perfect ballpark dessert. The many waiters kept our table clean, our food coming and our glasses full, without our once feeling like we were hogging wanted seats or being rushed. Loved it. The Giants may not have won Friday night, but the Public House is a winner in my book! PS -- on non-game nights, bar food is 50% off. What a deal!

Bar/Restaurant connected to AT&T Park

By WaywardWander9 |

We had an event for work and decided to have a quick happy hour here since the event was held behind the park at their tailgate area. Nice large bar and seating area, wood paneled and nice looking bar. Doesn't look like a bar attached to a stadium, much classier. So we sat in the bar area at the large tables and there were probably about 15 of us, the server we had (didn't catch her name) was great, very attentive and was always checking to see if we needed anything. We had a few appetizers which were very good and they also have a large draft and craft beer selection. I would come again and great for a baseball game drink too!

Hoping for dinner before an event

By knscott |

My wife and I were attending a event at AT&T park on a Saturday night. Looking for a place to eat before the event, we stopped in at the Public House which is next to the entry at the park. We arrived about 80 minutes before the start of the event and waited for a table to open up. One finally opened up about an hour before the event. Knowing we were going to be pushed for time, we had grabbed a menu so we could order drinks and food as we sat down. That is exactly what we did and while the drinks came reasonably soon, we were still sitting 45 minutes later waiting for our food. We finally paid for our drinks and left as we were out of time. I get that this was an extremely busy place on nights with events but the service and customer service was horrible. No one stopped by to see how we were doing, apologize for the delay or give any kind of status update on our meals. We looked around and several other diners had similar experiences. They have a great location an apparently know that can get away with even less than average customer service.

My happy hour place

By maloke2014 |

I have to qualify that we enjoy happy hour at Public House ONLY when the SF giants are NOT at home playing. A very comfortable place and a perfect location for a pitcher of brew and very reasonable bar bites. A beautiful walk from embarcadero along the waterfront. You can then go shopping at the SF giants dugout after and the SF muni trolley is just right in front if you decide not to walk back.

Good stuff

By Jordan T |

Had a bite to eat here after doing the stadium tour. Food and beer were both great. Service was slow. The place was half empty when I got there and it took forever to get service. While the waiter had great recommendations service was slow until it got busy.

Great food & location

By Vicky T |

Located as an attachment to AT&T Park, its a fun place to visit and hang out with food and drinks if you don't have tickets to a game and feel all the exitement of being at the game! Good food and drinks too.

Expensive ... probably wont return

By shakey26 |

Expensive. I ordered the brat and it tasted like it was filled with soy. Didn't remind me of meat. It was convenient before the Giants game, but don't know with the other choices around AT&T park that I would visit again.

Great selection of beer

By James D |

Love the huge selection of craft beer here, and the food is pretty good too. Worth visiting even if there isn't a game on.

Slow Service, Average Food

By Morgan W |

We went on a game day, hours before the game and you would think a restaurant attached to the ball park would have service down pretty well for busy days such as today. However service was slow and the food was not anything exciting. They didn't refill drinks and we hardly saw our server.

My First Visit to the Public House

By PAUL D |

Finally checked out the Public House recently after my ballpark tour. At first, didn't look like I was going be waited on anytime soon, as it looked like service was a little haphazard as it was still several hours before game time. Actually, I was about to leave and head across the street to the Louisiana Kitchen sandwich shop that I've visited many times. On my way out, I happened to bump into our ballpark tour guide and another ballpark guide friend of his so I stopped and had a couple of beers with them. Tommy, our tour guide was like me a New Englander but had been on the Left Coast for some 30+ years and lived near the ballpark. So it was chow time at the Public House, the first if way too many burgers on the Bay during my recent stay. Can't lose weight on the burger and fries diet trust me....As the day moved on, the crowd picked up and so did the service. I'll be back again I'm sure....

Was a little disappointed

By barongruda |

This place has an awesome location. By and large food for four of us underwhelming. Better to come here for an adult beverage and eat in the park. Friendly wait staff but always busy.

Perfect location to ATT park, nice atmosphere, and good food.

By whitewaterconsulting |

Perfect location to ATT park, nice atmosphere, and good food. The staff is friendly and it was not crowded on a Saturday night.

Great location, great beer selection..

By AQB |

… but French fries tasted old and reheated too often. Their home-made cole slaw had a peculiar piquancy that no one at the table liked. Fried fish was generous and done well. Ambience was appropriate and service was friendly. It's a convenient stop for events at ATT Park but I'd look a bit further down the street next time….

Nice stop after game

By 1GiantsMSo |

Had an hour free after Giants game and stopped for a drink before meeting friends. Center bar only server beers and the chocolate beer was interesting. Service was prompt for as crowded as it was. Seating was available. Prices were reasonable.

Mission Bay Treasure

By KennethFax |

I had passed by many times, until finally I had ventured trying with friends visiting from Brazil. It is a great local hangout and hidden secret. The food was great, filling and comfortable for seating. It seems as a neighbourhood hangout, still ahead of it's time.

Baseball, Beer, and a Cuban?

By Paul B |

Hey, don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Near the end of the game I wanted to beat the crowd to suds & food, so I slipped into this place at the entrance for a quick meal! I watched the rest of the game on the flat-screens in the pub and headed for an afternoon/evening tour of SF. Love baseball......Will be back.

Friendly and convenient

By clovis-man |

Stopped here before the Giants/Dodgers game last night. Lots of bar activity. But they had a place set aside for dining customers. Got a seat almost immediately. Sandwiches were generous and well prepared. Included Kosher pickle was not good, but everything else was fine. Extensive beer & ale list to choose from. The "private" entrance to AT&T Park was a plus as well. Worth a repeat visit.

Great Stop before the 1st pitch

By t_lord80 |

I stop here to get a few beers every time I'm in town for a Giants game. It's right outside the stadium so it's a great place to go while you wait for the gates to open.

Great place to relax, munch, and down some brews prior to game time!

By shemmy2 |

There are so many great places to eat in and around AT&T Ballpark we were pleasantly surprised to find great munchies & brews at Public House located at the old Acme Chop House next to the front entrance of the ballpark. We knew we wanted to eat "dinner" inside the ballpark, but we also wanted to munch, sit, and drink since we had 2hrs prior to game time. We had 4 16oz beers ($8ea), Nachos w/ Jack, Poblanos, Beans, Salsa, Guacamole, Crema ($12), and crisp cauliflower w/capers, raisins, red bell peppers ($6). This was just enough to quell our immediate hunger pangs. However, it took will-power to not order more food and drinks so as to save ourselves for the great food(s) inside the ballpark. There is also entry into the ballpark from inside the restaurant! (You need your ticket, of course). But, you can take a beer with you into the park! We will most definitely be coming back for future pre-game activities!

Pre game must

By David L |

Must visit pre game if you can. It’s great atmosphere, food and drink really well priced and really tasty. Would point everyone in this direction, good beers and spirits on offer as well.

Best place to pregame

By Jon C |

If you get to the game about 1 hour before game time and want a place to eat, drink and mingle with tons of baseball fans, this is your place. I entered the Public House at 6:00 pm for a 7:15 pm game. I enjoyed 2 beers (the 2nd one I carried into the game and finished at my seat) and a Cubano sandwich (great sandwich). The beer selection is great. Another major advantage is the side entrance to the game. Because you walk through a metal detector when entering the restaurant, you don't have to again when entering the park through the side entrance. You can quickly enter through the side entrance and bypass the long lines outside. This advantage alone is worth choosing the Public House for your pregame spot.

Good for baseball beers and food

By Davetheaddick |

A big beer bar attached to AT&T Park, we dropped in and luckily found a half a table we shared with a another couple it was great to have some good beers, a selection of national and local beer, and to meet other fans before going into the ballpark.

You have to try the impossible burger

By Nicole D |

First off, please know that the public house is very busy on SF Giants game days. I visited on an off day and it is a lot quieter. I went because I really wanted to try the impossible burger and I was not disappointed. This vegan burger is amazing. You will need to request some changes if you want the meal to be vegan (the cheese and sauce needs to be removed and you will need to confirm if the bun is vegan. You may just want it served on lettuce). Well worth the trip. The service is friendly and of course the beer selection is out of this world.

Stop in before a game!

By Obiawhat |

Public House is a great restaurant and bar that is attached to AT&T Park where the Giants play. You can go in prior to the game, try one of their MANY awesome beers and then use their special entrance to get into the park. The wait staff is used to being busy. They are very efficient and knowledgeable about all of the beers that they serve. Definitely worth checking out!

A nice bar and grill right at AT&T

By brentsf |

I ate and drank here back in July after a giants game with a few friends and had a nice time. I lived down the street from here for years and went here once or twice a week. The place has a really good large selection of beers and specializes in Belgian varieties. The food is really good too, and has a limited menu, but there is also a taqueria attached to the bar that has great tacos. Get here early if you come on a game day, there is usually a line to get in that takes up to an hour.

Not "all" kinds of sports pub

By Jessi A |

I attended a private work dinner which was on the same night as some UFC fights I seriously wanted to watch. I thought perfect, its a sports pub, there should be plenty of TVs. I was right there were tons of TVs broadcasting sports! What I was wrong about was thinking they'd turn at least one of them to FS1. I was informed by a member of the staff that MMA was a blood sport and it would not be possible to watch the mixed marital arts competition on any of the TVs (even if the restaurant was closed to the public). Ok cool... no biggie and good to know. I do realize the sport is not for everyone. The food was good. The behind the scenes tour was a treat and our tour guide was the highlight. She was was awesome, very hospitable, knowledgable and patient.

Perfect Pre-game

By KrissyandCody |

Cool place to drink before the game, there is a secret entrance you can go through to skip the lines. They opened early on day game day, we got there around 10:15. We did not eat, just an appetizer, but the menu looked good. I love the selection of beers, lots of variety.

Arrive early if you just want a beer

By Cindy S |

We stopped in before a Giants game for a beer. Luckily, we were early and found one seat at the bar. The tables are saved for patrons who wish to eat, which makes sense. It is fun to have a drink here before a game...and the selection of beer is better and cheaper than inside the park. We can't comment on the quality of food, as we didn't eat. Next time we will come earlier to eat and drink before the game. Definitely a fun vibe throughout the restaurant.

Awesome Brews + Food Before The Game!

By Albert K |

Great place to grab beers and snacks prior to the game. We went heavy on the appetizers and ordered most of them. The wings were absolutely delish. The beer choice is also plentiful. It's better to drink here prior to the game as you can walk right into the park and actually bring your beer in with a plastic cup! Talk about convenience. Just make sure to go early as it is difficult to grab a table before a game.

Great Pre-Game Spot

By Shannan S |

Came here as part of a long-weekend vacation that included a Giants Sunday day game. If you want a table, go early, otherwise it fills up quickly. The food was very yummy; ordered Elote and Onion Ring appetizers along with cocktails and a quick "brunchy lunch" mixture of entrees that included the Fish 'n Chips and Breakfast Sandwiches. Everything was wonderful and the service was very pleasant. As the restaurant filled up, the service was a bit slower but that was to be expected as there were quadruple the number of people there by the time our orders were done/delivered as when they were placed. The other really convenient thing is that this restaurant is part of the park and there is a park entrance at the back of the restaurant.

Decent food... burgers, wedges, soup

By ChrisFromCincinnati |

Loud and lively open pub built into the stadium and open and accessible regardless of games. Burger was pricey - $16 and only came with chips but decent. Food good... wouldn't call it great nor especially memorable.

Classy sports bar

Tasty food, awesome beer selection, attentive service. A nicer option than Pete's Tavern if you want sports, better choice of food, beverage and service for the same price.

Surprisingly good beer and food at the ballpark

By PhilAtty |

This is definitely not your run-of-the-mill sports bar at a ballpark. Yes, there are lots of flat screen TVs and it's packed during Giants games. But, the beer selection is pretty amazing, and the bartenders know their beers. In particular, the smaller bar as you walk into the right is the place to be for a solid selection of California craft beers and bartenders who know their stuff. The food is serious pub food, and great brunch as well. Final tip: if you stop there before heading to the Giants game, get your beer(s) in plastic cups and take them in through the door to the stadium directly from the bar!

Great beer selection!

I usually expect large national brewer offerings at sporting venues, but this place had a terrific small batch craft beer list, and a very knowledgeable staff that made terrific recommendations. We also very much enjoyed the onion rings. Great place to grab a beer and watch some games. It was perfect for Sunday football.

Good food and service

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the preview of Public House when they first opened, and have been back a few times since then. Items I have eaten here: Philly Cheese Steak, wings, buttermilk onion rings, fries, cinnamon sugar cookie, Tahitian vanilla ice cream, pulled pork sliders, mac 'n' cheese, and raspberry lemonade (with vodka), My wife has had crab cake sliders and deviled eggs, among other things I can't remember The Philly was pretty good. I sent the first one back, because they put some kind of sauce on it, and that is just wrong. It was almost as good as the one I used to get at Momo's, and nothing like what you'd get in Philadelphia. I will get one again (sans sauce). The pulled pork sliders were OK. They were missing something. BBQ sauce, maybe? The wings were very tasty, but my wife felt they could have been cooked a little bit more. I would order again. The fries were mediocre, at best, and went half-eaten. The onion rings were very good. Can't go wrong with buttermilk. I will definitely get them again. The mac 'n' cheese was very good. Not as good as the mac 'n' cheese at Mustard's, but less expensive, too. My wife was a little put off by the bright orange cheese on top. Another item I would buy again. My wife enjoyed her food, especially the crab cake sliders. The cookie was good, but not really worth $2.00. The ice cream was excellent. Our server (Stephani) was very friendly and helpful. You can sit almost anywhere and see at least one TV, as they are everywhere. Young, friendly good-looking staff. Reasonable prices, good food, good service. Yay!

Impossible burger

By mrkencho |

We went here because my veggie wife wanted to try the impossible burger. The burger was good for veggies, but as a meat eater I gave it 6/10. As for the bar/ restaurant, the service was good, but the menu was all a bit deep fried and the atmosphere a little stark.

Convenient Location

This pub is next door to the baseball park. Food here is just alright, nothing special. Beers are definitely a bit cheaper than inside the park.

Just ok

We had the Cubano & the Bacon Grilled Cheese. The food is overall just ok. The facility itself is very pretty and comfortable.

Good spot to stop on the way out

Be ready for big crowds. If you're shy about bellying up to the bar when it's busy, then skip this one! But if you love sports, talking about sports and having a cold one while you're waiting for the crowds to die down on public transportation, Public House is a great place to unwind. The wait staff do a great job keeping up with the tables, and try their best to get every one served quickly. They were hustling when I was there, but always kept a great attitude, and laughed with us. I would go here again in a heart beat.

The best kept secret!

By lemonheart |

If you love craft beer and always wondered, "how can I watch a ball game and drink my kind of beer"? Here is your answer...Public house! Great selection of the local craft beer market as well as, a fun pub grub menu and GREAT staff. We had fun with them every night of the WCB. They have an entrance into the stadium AND you can carry REAL BEER to your seats.

Aweful - beyond compare

I did not think it was possible to mess up nachos. Guess I was wrong. Totally Inedible. Husband’s dinner also inedible- pulled pork sliders on stale bun- ick.

Nice sports bar

When I found out that my NFL game would be on the same night as we had tickets to a Giants game, I began searching for a sports bar near AT&T park. It didn't take long to find Public House. The atmosphere is awesome, the people are friendly and welcoming, the food was top rate sports bar food, and the location was as perfect as it could get. It is actually attached to AT&T stadium, with it's own entrance door to the park! You can even ask for a plastic cup to carry your drink into the staduim with you! It was all-in-all a great evening and would recommend this place for a drink and bite to eat prior to a game!

Great pregame vibe

By Dunoes-abroad |

The perfect place to start your evening at the baseball. Beer is cheaper than inside and you can take two glasses in through its own dedicated entrance. Very cool with great pre game banter with the locals.

Great place when it is cold and wendy
