Great Bar !

By larisa10 |

Great views of the atrium at The Hyatt Regency Hotel, generally a very quiet and relaxing bar to end the evening. On our 2nd visit to the bar there were some players from the Kansas City Chiefs that were staying at the hotel ( big game with The Texas Rangers) so it was hopping that night, we had a great time... overall a very nice bar, location, friendly servers and good drinks.

Good change from Mexican Food

By Rein W |

Healthy, fresh meals, good service, nice variety on the menu, enjoyed the salad bar. Great for a quick bite!

Pasta-nator

By Linda W |

Danny at Q in the Hyatt Regency San Antonio is a wonder behind the pasta bar. Lots of ingredient choices and he can keep four pans going at the same time, all coming out perfectly made to order. If you come once, he welcomes you. If you come twice, he welcomes you by name and probably remembers how you like your pasta. A can't miss on the Riverwalk.

Lunch Pasta Bar

By 611KimC |

Ate lunch at the Q Kitchen, the salad and pasta bar were delicious! Ate dinner at the Q Bar one evening, it was ok...nothing special. The service was great at both the kitchen and bar. The drink selection at the bar is very good.

Stayed at the Hyatt and ate breakfast at the Q

By Zaine K |

Decided to skip the breakfast buffet and ordered off the breakfast menu...definitely worth it!! Food is top notch quality, huge portions!

AWESOME BREAKFAST BUFFET!!

By PAfolks |

We had read on Tripadvisor that the Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk had a great breakfast buffet so we took a walk from our hotel to try it. The Hotel lobby is beautiful with water flowing through it and an atrium with elevators rising from the lobby to the top. We had to take the elevator up one floor to get to the Q Kitchen. We were seated promptly and the service was great. . .anything we wanted, the server was right on it. The buffet was quality, not just quantity and had an omelette station as well as scrambled eggs with peppers, onions, tomatoes and bacon. There was crispy bacon and chicken sausages which were delicious. They also had delicious home fried potatoes, french toast, pancakes and yummy muffins and fresh fruit. There was an array of delicious pastries as well. The jelly was served in individual mini serving jars. It was one of the nicest buffets we had seen plut everything was fresh and delicious!! Everything about it was top notch and I would highly recommend anyone to give it a try!

Good lunch

By Hummer1973 |

Cooks are a little grumpy, but they see 100s of brainless tourist everyday. Salad was good and varied. Soup was not my cup of tea. Dessert table was great. Paste, which they fixed in front of you was excellent. I will eat there again.

Very nice breakfast

By peterrmans |

Staying at Hyatt Regency on a rainy morning and opted for the lobby restaurant rather than searching out more local people's eateries as I normally would. It wasn't particularly busy at 9:30 am. We were seated promptly and morning beverages quickly provided. We both opted for the two egg dishes, rather than the buffet, which also looked real good. This is moderately expensive with eggs, toast, meats, and hash browns at $13.00 each and coffee for $4.00. If you are a big eater, the buffet which includes coffee is only $3.00 more and has an omelet station. I'd say that Q is a good bet for in hotel breakfasts, and moderate price with excellent food and service.

Great Pasta Bar!

By kkbaur |

Cannot go wrong with their chef pasta bar, you pick all the ingredients and the chef prepares it in front of you. The salad bar is fresh and has a wide variety to choose from.

Excellent service!

By MoghaniALABAMA |

We had a delicious breakfast at night the Q Kitchen! I suggest ordering from menu the egg white omelette served in an iron skillet! Yummy! Our server, Rolo (hope sp is correct) was excellent! He was informative about food choices, very friendly and gave us good info about San Antonio! It's a treat to have him as a server!

Very pretty

By Robert G |

Large open area, well apportioned bar. Food is nice. Tortilla soup was mighty tasty. There was a buffet and a menu dining.

A nice place to relax and enjoy a cocktail.

By wtmcalpin |

This is a very nice bar. Very friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, overview of a portion of the Riverwalk, and reasonable prices. You cannot expect to find a drink (cocktail) for under $10 in the area of the Riverwalk. The hotel is very well designed, with an internal water flow that goes into the river. You will not be disappointed with the staff service.

Appetizers and good drinks great price

By Teressa F |

A wonderful end to a day at the "Q". Great beer selection and fun speciality drinks. Good prices and super fun location. The hotel does allow dogs and when there was a large dog in the bar with his butt table level it turned my stomach. It's like a human sitting on a table and farting. Just not appetizing.

INSIDE HYATT REGENCY ON RIVERWALK

By boxingpam |

They had a surprisingly good menu selection for a hotel restaurant and open 6:30am to midnight. No real view of the Riverwalk though. But still nice. It is inside the Hyatt Regency hotel on the Riverwalk next to the CVS and if you are staying in the hotel they will give you $15.00 off each meal you charge to your room as of this writing.

Best Huevos Rancheros on the Riverwalk

By Shelia G |

My husband and I visited here last year based on a review I read for the best Mexican breakfast near me. We walked over and then almost didn't go inside because it was in a hotel and not a standalone restaurant. We decided well we are here let's give it a try and happy we did. I travelled a lot in my life to Mexico and knowing we are in Tex-Mex country I thought it might be a little twist to it. I have to say it is very authentic and delicious. Cooked to perfection. The eggs were perfectly runny, the poblano pepper was amazing and their hash browns must have cheese or something in them and were perfectly browned, and the tortillas were fresh. Here we are a year later back in San Antonio and we said we had to make time for breakfast here before our flight. Staff is very friendly and service excellent. Highly recommend.

Christmas dinner

By Familyof5_CT |

We arrived Christmas after 7 and chose to have dinner at the Q Kitchen Bar as we just wanted something light after traveling all day and they have vegan options for one of our family members. We were pleased that they had a Christmas Dinner special for about $30 which was an amazing filet with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes plus dessert. The bar overlooks the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Service could have been a bit more attentive but our server was very nice. We would return.

Great Breakfast

By Cheryl S |

We stayed at the Hyat Regency and included the breakfast special in our rate and it was well worth it. Beautiful fresh buffet. The chef makes fresh made to order omelettes and always with a smile. The staff here were great and the service and attention could not be beaten.

Holiday Buffet

By outlaw1865 |

Good quality food offerings, No complaints at all with the food. What does irritate me though is when establishments automatically add a gratuity to the bill. Call me old fashion but I feel a gratuity should be left to the patron's discretion and based on the service received. I can understand this practice with large parties of 8-10 people or more but it was just three of us, we all had water only to drink and in a buffet setting our waiter did nothing more than fill our water glasses which just doesn't warrant an 18% gratuity regardless of how skillful a waiter is with a water pitcher. I realize it's a Hyatt Regency and while our waiter was a delightful fellow and the tap water he poured for us was refreshing and did come with free ice, I still think it was a bit much:) Obviously I'm in the wrong line of work...

Great Breakfast Buffet

By Kelsey L |

If having breakfast at the Q, get the buffet unless you want something in particular from the menu. The a la carte items cost more. By the time you order an item and a beverage, you'd paid the same as the buffet ($19.99/person), which offers a wide variety of options and includes a beverage in the price. They even had gluten-free muffins! And they were good. Raul at the omelette station was a master. Delicious meal and great service.

Review on just the bar

By scubachef88 |

Great handcrafted cocktails ! Some nice views of the city skyline. Sleek sophisticated atmosphere. Staff was very pleasant and had great recommendations. Great way to end a night on the river walk

Convenient, great service, lots of choice for breakfast.

By Candace C |

We only had breakfast here. The buffet has a wide selection and the service was quick and friendly, which was nice because we wanted to hit the River Walk before the crowds.

BBQ shouldn't be the focus here . . .

By Josh |

Average food. BBQ food choices, pork quesadilla, was too smokey and overpowering. Personal pepperoni pizza was good though, prepared and cooked to perfection. Bourbon pecan pie was older than I would have liked. The crust was soggy, it should have been flaky and crispy. However, it is a decent place if you are too tired to go downstairs to the riverwalk and fight the crowds.

Cozy and comfy

By ricanstruction |

Can't say much about the drinks (I don't drink), but I did hang out here for a few one early evening after coming back from a little sight-seeing. The place is cozy, the atmosphere is chill and although indoors, there is a unique view of the riverwalk. We tried the Kickin' Chicken Wings and the Sweet and Spicy Ribs. Delish. The server, wait staff...everyone was great. Nice experience.

Always good food.

By Patrick O |

Lunch or dinner, the food is always good. The Christmas buffet was amazing. Definitely going back next year. Great view from the bar of the Riverwalk.

High quality food

By Jovita B |

Perfect place to eat! My shrimps were super delicious! Firstly I was surprised by quantity but later was pleased by quality! And beer is delicious! Recommended

Put the brisket on your cobb salad and have them hold the chicken!

By Janet L |

Waitress was terrible service wise but super sweet - I was hoping the whole time she was new. Cobb salad was fabulous. Had her hold the chicken and top it with the brisket instead and the brisket was AWESOME!

A nice surprise

By Steve B |

We were tired and hungry. Came down to the hotel bar/cafe for something simple after ongoing food disappointments on the river walk. Immediate service and nice menu. We split a turkey panini with fries and roasted brussel sprouts. It was the best meal we had on the River Walk. Great décor good price

Amazing salad

By Christine W |

While at a conference in San Antonio I stopped by this restaurant for lunch. I had the salmon salad with the jalapeno vinaigrette and it was delicious! I cleaned my bowl completely! Granted, I came at a time that was not particularly busy, but the service was fantastic. Would definitely come back.

Delicious, Skillfully Prepares Food in Warm Ambience

By We'reReady!! |

I was in San Antonio for six days and this was the best restaurant I ate in. The group I was in had the choice of a variety of dishes in a pasta, hot dishes, and salad bar; everything I tried was beautifully seasoned and fresh......pastas were cooked to order right there! All of the staff from the cooks to the servers and General Manager who checked up on us were affable and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely as well. Highly recommended!

Cool bar

By YaBabaYaga |

Q bar has plenty of available drinks. Seating area is wide and has enough space for large group of people.

Hyatt by the River

By Michael544 |

It is a typical Hyatt Regency, it has a nice lobby bar and restaurant, espresso bar in the AM and morning brunch, Centrally located near River Walk. All in all a good 4 star experience

Nice setting

By Charles H |

We had a group of 30 and they had the list with ease. I had to street tacos, very good for only $10. The staff were very efficient and friendly. More than I expected for a hotel eatery. Even though we were a very large group it was still reasonably quiet, good acoustics I suppose

Good Food

By Abel G |

Enjoyed the good food inside the dinning area and then a few drinks at the bar with friends. Great service!

Meh, I've had much better

By Kevin B |

I came here from a quick dinner while staying at the Hyatt Regency and I was unimpressed with the food. I ordered brisket and it ended up being fairly tough, though the BBQ sauce was quite good. The beer flight I had wasn't bad and the service was decent, but it was an overall average place. If you're staying here and need a quick dinner or if you just want a drink, then you're okay. Otherwise, I would get out of the hotel and try someplace else.

Great location

By Alisa C |

Wonderful staff and quick service with a view. Great spot for people watching. Lots of different types of drinks.

They lost my business

By Love2travel_Family6 |

I didn't get to eat here, even if I was a resident at the hotel and had an inclination to just stay on the property. When I got there, there was no one present to help seat guests. Even when a staff member passed me by, she didn't even ask if I wanted to be seated or if I had been helped. I decided it wasn't worth the wait, I went right out and found a place along the Riverwalk.

Good place w excellent service

By bbbuttercup |

Upgraded pub fare. Ate here twice. The fries are amazing! Had the steak sandwich and then the pulled pork sandwiches. Very good. The ambiance is luxurious. The service was top notch.

Delicious!

By RandRloveParis |

We had the breakfast buffet. It was delicious. The pastry bar was very yummy and the chilaquiles were wonderful. Terrific friendly staff too.

Very, very good!!

By Davidamy617 |

Great salad bar, create your own pasta bar, and good desserts. We had a business lunch here for a large group and it was perfect. Excellent food. Excellent service.

Top Shelf spot for a quiet cocktail

By LynnOlivari |

We were guests at the Hyatt Regency and really loved their Q bar & restaurant. The appetizers we had here were authentic tex mex and the salsa negro was fantastic. They also pour a 'proper' cocktail. It was nice to get out of the crazy river walk scene and enjoy conversation and a cocktail.

Breakfast buffett is great

By wblu |

Wonderful breakfast buffet, with all the normal breakfast plus mde to order omelettes, freshest fruit and pastries. Wonderful breakfast and wait staff is excellent and attentive. Great value for a good solid filling breakfast to start your day...you can skip lunch.

Delicious lunch

By PasCaLady |

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the Q Kitchen/Bar at the Hyatt while on tour in San Antonio. The food was exceptionally well prepared. Enjoyed pasta with pesto and shrimp, several delicious salads, and the best sautéed fresh vegetables ever. Kept going back for more. It was such a pleasure to eat such a well prepared and healthy lunch. Service was also exceptionally good.

Better breakfast options elsewhere

By TucsonTeeter |

They only offer a buffet at breakfast. Unless you are a big eater, it is high priced. We had a group of 6 and an 18% tip was added to each of the 3 bills. I tip at that level for full service, but not when I do most of the work of serving myself. The food is good quality, I will gave them that.

Fun, relaxing bar

By Daniella K |

Fantastic bar in the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Excellent bartenders and superior drinks and service. Really enjoyed it while staying at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Breakfast buffet is a rip-off

By srss96 |

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency which was a pleasant stay but made the mistake of trying their breakfast buffet. $21.00 pp for the buffet was a joke. Plus we didn’t even see the chef who was to make omelette or eggs for people. The items we did eat on the buffet were good but not worth the money. Needless to say we did not eat there the next day.

Best Burger in San Antonio

By H257YFmichaelk |

There are great restaurants all over San Antonio but there's nothing like having a burger at the Q Bar. I don't even bother to go out to the Riverwalk anymore. They always make it the way I like it and it's never overcooked. Always delicious. The fries are always crispy. And great to wash it down with a Don Julio tequila

The breakfast buffet is amazing!

By momofthecs |

Choices galore on this great buffet. Made to order omelettes, a fresh fruit area that is perfectly chilled, gluten free and other pastries and delicious oatmeal are among the choices. Service was fantastic and this breakfast did not disappoint!

Nice to have a good place to eat in your hotel

By TrepidTraveler1 |

The food was great, even though the service was spotty. Sometimes prompt, and sometimes you waited forever. Coffee good, and I had a goat cheese egg white omelette that looked as if they'd milked an entire herd to provide the mountain of cheese. Delicious!

Xmas buffet

By Bob C |

The Christmas buffet (afternoon) was excellent. The flat iron steak--which I usually avoid in restaurants because it's invariably tough--was tender and perfectly done. The other main dishes (beef, turkey, pork loin, chick, fish) were also excellent. There was also a very good variety of desserts.

Good hotel dining.

By C Cantrill |

I had both breakfast and lunch here at the Q kitchen. Both meals were very good. The pasta lunch is amazing and incredible value. The breakfast buffet is a little bit limited but you can order off the menu. I would happily return for both.

Food

By emma |

We ate breakfast there and really enjoyed it. The food and staff were excellent. We enjoyed the fact we could walk downstairs and not have to go out of the hotel.

Convenient, but disappointing

By Tami A |

Better online reviews than it deserved. Meal was underwhelming. The restaurant is in a closed off corner of the Hyatt Regency. While the lobby has very nice views, the restaurant does not.

Great Hotel Bar with Excellent Food

By James M |

We very much enjoyed drinks at this bar when staying at the Hyatt Regency River Walk. Additionally the food on the menu was excellent. Although it is a somewhat limited menu out selections turned out to be very good.

Good food at the hotel`

By Michael D |

The food at the Q Kitchen was great. There are so many choices on the Riverwalk but if you are staying at the Hyatt it's a great place to dine in

Inventive, delicious cuisine for remarkable price

By Bergmama |

Although the Riverwalk is stunningly gorgeous, we found the food prices to be high, even at lunch. So it was a surprise to find a "salad bar" that included beverage and desert for under $10 at the Q. Even better, this wasn't boring hotel food. The salads were creative and interesting, like the sweet potato, apple and bacon salad, or the roasted vegetable and barley salad, or the sauteed fennel and radish salad. One of my favorites was a jicama and grapefruit salad with a sherry vinegar dressing. The greens were arugula in one bowl and baby spinach in another. They also had a Caesar salad in a chilled compartment to prevent wilting. It would take longer than I have to describe the deserts. All were worthy of a rave. Oddly, my favorite was the humble oatmeal raisin cookie. Service was impeccable and professional, and many of the customers were locals who knew about this great deal.

Unexpected Pleasant Surprise

By one2pocket |

My wife and I were in San Antonio for business and we have always enjoyed strolling on the River Walk but never ate there. Since it was late we went up to the mezz level and found the "Q" restaurant. Since it was a tourist area we were expecting so-so quality and quantity. We were wrong. I had the chicken fried chicken and my wife at the taco with brisket. Both were excellent and our server Riley was outstanding. She even bought me the drink I ordered when she found out it was my birthday. It's a restaurant we would definitely go back to when we are in the area.

Very Good Breakfast Buffet

By James F |

Our package at the Regency included the breakfast buffet. It was well stocked, had a variety of foods and an excellent service staff. The buffet was also friendly to those with special dietary needs ( lactose, glucose, gluten).

Outstanding Business Lunch

By Dave E |

Five of us enjoyed a well executed business lunch/committee meeting at this facility. The waiter did an unusually good job of explaining the various options with a number of good lunch offerings. Items from the kitchen was timely and well prepared. Several of us also visited either the salad bar or lunch buffet. Prices were very reasonable for a large hotel. Would visit this restaurant again on my next visit.

nice

By katgoddess70 |

My hubby and I had some food and drinks here. Overall I was satisfied with the experience and service and we decided to come back later as well. The prices are really really good and I highly recommend a visit. Also, it was really clean and you have some awesome views

All eating areas were very very over priced ? We went other places to eat all of the time too expensive in the hotel.

By Delvin H |

Very over priced !! We went out for all of our meals and snacks. .....the Riverwalk was nice with lots of eating options. . .

Great ribs, excellent service

By cals503 |

Tina was quick, friendly and helpful! I had some tasty yet spicy ribs and way too much food to eat. Didn't care much for the beans but all else was great

Excellent service and presentation - food decent

By ncftx |

There were two of us for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday morning. The choices were the full buffet, beautifully laid out with bacon, potatoes, omelet station and more, and that was $21 pp. The continental, again well laid out, was $15 and included fresh fruits, breads and muffins, charcuterie-type items with imported cheeses and meats, stone cut oatmeal and a muffin bar (gluten free as well.). We both opted for the continental and had plenty of food. Everything was fresh and well presented. I'm a fan of big fluffy muffins and these were smaller and more dense, (I had a cranberry and a blueberry). The service was attentive considering it was a buffet, and the dining room is well laid out and good for conversation. For a large resort hotel, the price was affordable.

Excellent hotel and Exceptional location

By seni0r |

We loved the elegance and cleanliness of this hotel, the friendliness and efficiency of staff and especially appreciated being right on the river walk and steps away from the Alamo. The rooftop pool was a bonus. Loved the boat tours on the river and the transformation of the river at night :) Christmas lights glistened and the lighted boats with the carolers made this a memorable stay.

Great Variety

By JSchawl |

The menu has a great variety of options. I highly recommend the pork tacos, they are delicious! Also, check out happy hour specials before dinner.

Great Salads

By LGoehle |

Recommend the Beef brisket salad- was excellent. Nice portion of Brisket on fresh green salad and savory dressing

Breakfast Buffet

By Bill J |

Wonderful breakfast buffet - 19.99 per person and includes all soft beverages. They brew Starbucks as their in house coffee - The buffet featured a wonderful made to order omlete station was well as local flair additions. The bacon was top notch - crispy to perfection. Service was spot on - team service and you never waited or wanted to anything.

pasta brunch

By jo a |

We met the "Jamies" from the Hyatt regency and they told us about the pasta bar at the q restaurant in the hotel . It was great, the chef was a show himself and the food was fresh, we had been craving some vegetables, and they were fresh and perfectly cooked, the wait staff was very friendly.

BREAKFAST TIME

By boe18593 |

Had breakfast on one the mornings at the restaurant in the Hyatt Regency. The portions were large. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Excellent food and service

By Joel S |

Nice menu selections, attentive service, good meeting room, tasty food. The prompt and quiet service helped our group get through our agenda while enjoying a pleasant meal.

Expensive Drinks, "OK"Food

By John and Desire... C |

We actually ate here twice, once we had the shareable corny dog the other time we had the Q-ban and the fried chicken salad. The corny dog was not as good as you would get at a state fair, the home fries were decent. The Q-ban sandwich was OK, the onion rings were super greasy. As for the fried chicken salad, the fried chicken was also very greasy with a bit of a cajun overture, but not good enough to be cajun. The dressing was an onion ranch, and was over-powering. The salad was also served with a "biscuit" which was absolutely terrible. The biscuit tasted as if it was from the breakfast buffet about 8 hours earlier. I'm not sure who has eaten here and enjoyed the food. If you like high prices, and crapy food, this place is for you. The drinks aren't bad, but again very overpriced. I understand you're inside of a hotel, but it's still overpriced for what you get.....go to anywhere else on the riverwalk, and the food will be moderately better and cheaper.

Mediocre at best

By Senor_Ricardo |

A hotel of this caliber should have a space leased to a celebrity chef or an establishment that has a better variety of menu selections. They don't have bad food, but it's the same as every tourist trap on the Riverwalk! Get Emeril, Bobby Flay or someone with a following to increase revenue and traffic for the hotel. Besides, who goes to a Hyatt for NO NAME Bar-B-Q? Better luck next time guys!

Exceptional

By joerN5828YQ |

Can't say enough about the entire crew and the food. Veteran servers Pete and Fernando were very friendly and full of local info and stories. Fun to talk to and very polite. Food was way better than usual hotel breakfast fare. Scrambled eggs with chorizo was fantastic. Had different options daily, not the same thing everyday. Bonus-omlet chef making custom omlets!

Attractive Bar, Good and Fast Service

By Tex4n |

Pretty much standard hotel restaurant fare, but fresh and well prepared at Q Kitchen. Bar food: be warned, portions are huge and hearty!

Great service, very good food

By Perry G |

Ok - great food & really good service, but it's a buffet style with limited options. The only down-side is it's a bit pricey for what it is. If you're staying at the hotel it works for convenience.

Shockingly Bad Experience at Q Kitchen (Hyatt San Antonio)

By Agnieszka P |

For a restaurant located in the heart of San Antonio, a city famous for incredible Mexican food, Q Kitchen was honestly the worst dining experience I’ve had anywhere. The tortilla soup was inedible. It didn’t even resemble tortilla soup, it had a bizarre smell, almost like soggy red thick sauce mixed with cow manure. I wish I were exaggerating. Corn tortillas had that same manure odor. Guacamole had absolutely zero flavor for being in the heart of San Antonio. I travel constantly and I never take time to write negative reviews, if anything, I usually only leave compliments. And no….I’m not pregnant, and I don’t have COVID to blame for dulled taste buds. The food was simply that BAD. If I could I would leave zero stars. For a hotel as well-known as the Hyatt, and in a city with some of the best Mexican cuisine in the country, this meal was beyond terrible.

Nicely done

By cmzampitella |

The staff were great. I just wished there were more food options on the bar menu. Made excellent drinks and the beer options were plentiful

Best Meal of My Trip

By Downola |

I was in San Antonio for 4 days and Q wins the award for best meal I had there. I enjoyed their brisket platter, which was terrific. It was not an overwhelming amount of food, which is not what I was looking for, but rather two nice long cuts of brisket. The fingerling potatoes that came with it were excellent as well! I went back a second time and had the steak sandwich, which was also fantastic. The garlic aioli was wonderful and the steak was finely chopped, almost like a philly steak sandwich. Great ambiance, nice crowd, well presented dishes. Nicely done Q!

great food!

By Shirley R |

There was a really varied food selection on the menu, good prices, and excellent quality! Service was excellent, very clean and comfortable. Tables were far enough apart that you could have good conversations. Waiter was excellent!

A place of hospitality and tranquility

By Robert Nguni |

The dinner was excellent. Courteous staff and the meals were just in the right form, shape and temperature. Outdoor activities like golfing, water trail, swings all blended well to give us a perfect weekend. Good for all seasons.

Hotel restaurant in Hyatt Regency

By Mary R |

Really great buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also order off the menu. Good service and friendly staff. Something for everybody. They accommodated my special diet with no problem. One of the better hotel buffet restaurants, but on the pricey side.

Add breakfast and dinner to your itinerary

By Taylor B |

If you haven't experienced a delicious breakfast and/or dinner at a hotel restaurant in the last year or two, you haven't been traveling. The restaurant industry has become more competitive and hotels have leaped into the competition. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and dinner experiences at the Q Kitchen/Bar at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Yes, the 55-foot granite bar is a major feature. But there's more to this restaurant. For breakfast, served from 6:30 to 11, we had oatmeal with strawberries, brown sugar, milk, pumpkin seeds and dried goji berries, a fruit bowl with melon, pineapple, bananas, citrus, berries, granola and yogurt, a Brisket Bunny with poached eggs, smoked brisket, chipotle hollandaise sauce, country biscuit, tobacco onion, griddled Yukon potatoes and maple sausage patty and an American Breakfast with two scrambled eggs, griddled breakfast potatoes, pecan smoked bacon, toast and jam. For dinner, we started with Texas corn chowder, a Charcuterie board with artisan bread, cured meats and imported cheese and a Caesar salad with hearts of romaine, parmigiano reggiano, focaccia croutons, white anchovies and Caesar dressing with grilled chicken. For entrees, we had smoked turkey with chipotle honey glaze with pickled cranberries, brussels sprouts and serrano mash and grilled New York strip steak with mushrooms, serrano mash and ancho butter. For dessert, we couldn't make up our minds so we shared not two but three tantalizing items--chocolate caramel mousse, apple cobbler and bread pudding. Hey, aside from all the history, San Antonio is a great restaurant town.

Nice breakfast spot....

By UpInTheClouds |

I have only eaten breakfast at Q on the Riverwalk,so this review is for the AM service.. Clean and modern dining area. I ordered off the menu a few times( Huevos Con Chorizo was a favorite),I also mixed in a few mornings with the full buffet that was kept clean and stocked with a nice assortment. The staff were always friendly and on the ball.

Business

By Leticia A |

Had lunch while on a business trip Danny "pasta-nator" was an amazing cook my pasta was delicious as while as the service hope to visit this place again

Decent Breakfast

By MandC0218 |

We came here daily for breakfast daily during our 5 day stay at Hyatt Riverwalk. The breakfast started at 6:30 am but we really would have preferred they open at 6 am during weekdays as with most other hotels. Service was inconsistent. Breakfast was above average with lots of gluten free items. The Omelette station was very busy on Sunday, and the omelettes were a bit greasy. However, we liked our weekday chef, as he was friendly and cooked perfect eggs and omelettes.

quick trip

By Derek M |

When we checked itto our room, my wife and I when here to have lunch, staff and food is wonderful, as we checked out we had breakfast and it was very good, we stayed Thursday thrugh Saturday, and in the evening there was life music.

Great food an service

By TarHeel810 |

We had a great lunch of tacos and pizza at the Q Kitchen. the service was some of the best I have seen at a restaurant. We travel extensively and Mo was one of the best waitresses that we have experienced. The food was great, beer choices good and the service exceptional. Great place to get out of the touristy, crowded River Walk and have a great, peaceful lunch.

I at the chicken alfredo "BLACKENED"

By Travise S |

This was a buffet- I don't do buffets- so they were nice enough to bring all my items from the kitchen and fix them in front of me- another hat off for the customer service.

Great Drinks

By Rhonda S |

I had a frozen margarita and the signature drink called the "Q." Both were excellent. Comfortable seating, nice atmosphere and a good view of the River Walk.

Excellent late night food

By Relax15623943752 |

Oh. My. Goodness. If it’s late and you need a bite to eat, this is the place. Burgers are an hit. The service is excellent too.

Not worth the money

By Blacksheep76 |

Wait staff was very friendly but food was just ok. For $21.00, I think there are probably a lot better breakfast choices around.

Nice Breakfast Location

By Denise S |

If you're looking for a nice breakfast on the River Walk, try the Q Restaurant. You will have a good breakfast that is filling enough to last you into early afternoon. There are plenty of choices and the staff is attentive to your needs.

Good Salad & Dessert Bar

By Steve D |

This was my first visit to Q Kitchen. I ordered the Soup, Salad, & Dessert Bar for lunch. The selection of salad items was very slim. There was no soup to be found. The selection of desserts was pretty good and the desserts were tasty. They do not have sweet tea- shame. The service was average. The prices are on par with hotel food. The location was convenient. I didn't try the pasta part of the bar, but it looked pretty good.

Great environment and location

By Ryan V |

We were only here for drinks, but stopped by on many occasions. Food smelled amazing. I was very happy they had whiskey flights, as I am a big fan and could get samples of multiple whiskeys from Texas only. Bartender Alfonso was excellent and new his spirits well.

Excellent food, not at all busy

By Julie E |

Went there on a Saturday night, and their was no waiting for a table. I ordered the underbelly plate. The sausage was excellent especially with the peach BBQ sauce. The pulled pork was perfectly cooked, and was delicious. I wouldn't get the brisket again, as it was lean, but rather tough. The dark and white breads were delicious. The dark bread was served warm with tasty molasses butter. The buttermilk pie with vanilla cream, raspberries and spiced apple slices was fabulous! April, one of the chefs, was truly curious about how we liked the food. She did a marvelous job preparing the crab cake appetizer. It was definitely made with lots of crab meat. I couldn't detect any filler in it. It was large, delicious, and definitely worth getting again. Tina was a friendly helpful waitress. Enjoyed it a lot. Will definitely return.

Wonderful New Year's Eve dinner

By TomandNae |

We had an amazing time here on New Year's Eve. We had reservations around 6:30 and it was not yet crowded. They had a buffet that was incredible and they were serving free champagne. The tables were decorated very festive and put you in the mood for the evening. Our waiter, Roland, was AWESOME, very attentive and gave us great ideas on things to do other than the Riverwalk. Everyone we encountered had an amazing attitude and made you feel immediately welcome starting with the hostess. The buffet had excellent selections and everything we tried was delicious. The hotel was beautiful with a warm atmosphere. We will definitely be back to visit soon.

Breakfast

By Sharon B |

Went for breakfast. Very nice. Buffet had a lot of choices. Loved the individual servings of jam and honey. Would definitely recommend due to the large variety of foods.

Wonderful staff!

By Kimberly G |

The entire staff were awesome! From Rhiannon to the girl from Clarksville, my colleagues and I felt attended to and like we were family!

Great BBQ in a Hotel

By Texas BBQ TV |

Every time I come to San Antonio I stay at the Hyatt and one of the main reason besides its a nice Hotel is the fact that Q on the Riverwalk. I usually eat here atleast once a day when I stay here. The food is good and the flavors are very good. You will enjoy your stay and the food. I definitely recommend you try.

What a lunch!

By Julie J |

We were scheduled here for a lunch with or group of 37 people. We started with the salad bar while many others lined up for the pasta. The salad bar had an ample selection for lunch. We had hardly started our salads when the line disappeared at the pasta, so they really served a crowd fast. It is a "design your own" pasta bar with lots of possible combinations. The chefs saute our selections, then added one of four pastas and let us add one of 3 sauces. This pasta bar is available Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 2.

Nice atmosphere in a beautiful hotel

By poughzp |

Walking around San Antonio near the Riverwalk, we didn't know where to go for dinner. My husband loves barbecue so we decided to try the Q. We were seated in the bar area in the lobby. What a comfortable spot! The seating was quite comfortable and although we are not drinkers, we didn't mind sitting there. What great atmosphere. The food was pretty good. The only downside was slow service. Yes it was quite busy but we hardly saw our waitress and had to ask several times for certain items. We didn't mind too much as we were quite comfortable. I would say for the most part this is a restaurant worth trying.

Average

By Judith K |

Average food except Eggs Benedict for breakfast was great. Service at breakfast was poor if you order from the menu rather than eat from the buffet.

Noisy

By KurtLS |

The bar was very noisy but the drink selection is great and the food is good too. They were having an event very close which made the bar so noisy.

Great Breakfast

By Heather |

Went here for Sunday morning breakfast with my family, the food was really good and our waiter was great. Being younger (9) my daughter had the best price for the full buffet and she totally took advantage of it, from cereal to scrambled eggs from the omelet bar, she thought it was great, and since she is under 12 she is charged her age (however our great waiter only charged us $7). The banana fosters french toast is amazing and you should get an order to share with the table. Everyone enjoyed their orders and there were no complaints on the food and the waiter always made sure our coffee cups were full. The only complaint I have is that we were actually 2 parties sitting together, separate checks but both of us got a charge for having a party of 7 or larger. Together we were 6 adults and 1 child but we were separate parties and sat as such, other than that it was a great breakfast and the restaurant had nice decor. It is also in walking distance from the Alamo.

Nice Place to Gather

By StewsReview |

We enjoyed the Q Bar (especially before 6 on weekdays). The happy hour makes this a great place to start the evening. The staff was attentive (thank you Brandi for the Iron Cactus recommendation). After happy hour the prices are comparable to other places in the area.

great breakfast

By Denise B |

I was staying in the hotel and didn't want to go out for breakfast so visited the Q I chose the all you can eat breakfast bar. It was very good! I had a made to order omelet prepared in front of me which was excellent. I had a small portion of biscuits and gravy which was very tasty and the gravy was a hot. Fresh fruit and a almond pastry that was excellent. My server was very attentive and had my coffee cup always full of hot coffee. It was a wonderful experience. I will be back for another breakfast on my next trip. Families with children all around as well.

I Reserve the Room With the Balcony!

By omaopatravellers |

We have stayed here before and always enjoy the energy and convenience of being right in the Riverwalk and right across from the Alamo. But somehow this last trip had the gods that be aligned just right and we were assigned a small, odd shaped room with a balcony overlooking the foyer. Loved it!!!

Best pasta bar on the Riverwalk at a phenomenal price...

By Debbie O |

Great lunch option in the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk hotel which is directly across from the Alamo and right on the Riverwalk. Their lunch buffet is fantastic with lots of fresh salads, desserts and the pasta bar is straight from heaven. You pick your pasta or you can use spinach as a substitute and it's so tasty when you add your veggies and protein and sauce if you want it and of course their is toasted garlic bread and other items just waiting to be added to your plate. Yummy! You will be full when you leave...

Expensive! Good Service in a beautiful location

By Cheryle H |

The breakfast buffet will put a dent in your pocket book. Two levels of buffet. The continental breakfast is fruit and breads for $14.00. The full buffet offers meats and other breakfast favorites for $21.00. It does include your beverages. The service was good and attentive. (I hope so for these prices). The food was good but nothing to rave about. The hotel itself is in a beautiful location and offers a coffee shop, bar and shops on other levels. The hotel/resturant is on the Riverwalk and across from the Alamo.

Breakfast

By tomandlea |

The best I had in years. Awesome waiter and everything cooked perfect. The eggs benedict were "the bomb". Worth every penny.

Breakfast was good, but service was a little slow!

By Zespy |

Q Kitchen is located in the Hyatt Regency where we stayed. It was very convenient for breakfast. For breakfast you could get full buffet or continental buffet. Full buffet included hot and cold foods and juices and all drinks including coffee. The continental buffet included just cereals, toast, bagels, sweet rolls, and fruits, and coffee and juices were included. Made to order omelet was very good, but very big. Service was pretty good, however, the first day we were there, there did not seem to be a host or hostess anywhere near. Finally had to seat ourselves. Waiter was then slow to get our drinks order. After the that the waiter was very attentive. Good atmosphere and clean restaurant.

"Probably uncharacteristic"

By Denny B |

This was a little weird. Just stopped in for a quick drink. Only a few patrons were present. However, they seemed like regulars as the bartenders seem to be busier with them, then taking our order. Left a bad taste in our attitude.

Not on the River but great BBQ

By Eagle1949 |

For our last night in San Antonio we wanted BBQ. County Line had some mediocre reviews on Trip Advisor. Rudy's, our strong preference based on many satisfying meals in multiple locations (San Anton, Waco, Lubbock, Colorado Springs), is just too far out [please, Rudy, open something downtown]. Saltgrass had a limited BBQ menu and too long a wait time. So having had our share of riverside dining this visit, we decided to stay in the hotel and try the Q. Q has some excellent reviews on TA, but having eaten great BBQ at the picnic tables at Rudy's, we had to wonder if you can get decent BBQ in this upscale setting. Well, yes! We split a full rack of St. Louis ribs, and our waitress brought out all the sauces. Meaty, smoky, minimal fat, moist, done as I try to make them at home (and sometimes succeed). We liked several of the sauces, but the peach bourbon was the best. The baked beans are homemade, using three or four different kinds of beans with big chunks of meat and a tasteful sauce. We also shared a delightful field greens salad with buttermilk dressing. Our waitress, Tina, was very attentive and explained the ingredients and flavor of each of the sauces. As it turned out, a very accurate preview. Two colleagues were dining in the Q at the same time and gave thumbs up to the fish and steak. Overall, the right choice confirmed by the excellent food and service.

Great food, even better service!

By Nina Zee |

I ate lunch at the bar and breakfast at the kitchen. My experience at the bar was great! I just arrived from the airport. I was starving, tired and wanted to watch hockey. I went down to the bar, they put on my game, recommended the brisket tacos (I have never had before and now I am obsessed with them!) and made me a drink. My server was beyond amazing!!! It was modern, laid back and comfortable. The Kitchen experience the next day was fairly similar. I went in with a map and my camera. My server, Roland, asked me what I was doing for the day and I told him I did not know because I did everything I wanted the day before so I was trying to figure out what to do that day. He recommended the King William district, which I LOVED! The food was great.

A Solid Choice, If a Little Lacking

By TieTheKnotVideos |

Great in-hotel restaurants are quite rare, IMHO, but there are plenty that are good. I'd count Q's among them. They've got plenty of tables and attentive staff, plus a menu that covers all the basics. Food is presented nicely, if a little slowly, but it lacks any "wow" factor. For instance: I had lunch with another co-worker. She ordered the avacado turkey sandwich on a recommendation from someone who had eaten lunch there earlier in the week. I ordered a second one to take back to my wife, who was working and couldn't join us. The lady I ate lunch with raved about the sandwich. My wife said it was horrible. This must point to a food consistency issue with the cook staff, I'm not sure. My chef salad was good -- I've had better, but at least it was better than average. If you seek a special eating experience, I'd recommend you venture outside to the Riverwalk. But if you need a good meal while you're staying at the Hyatt, Q's works well enough.

The Bartenders Make this Exceptional

By Tim J |

It isn't often I go to a hotel and the bar is one of the top three things that stand out about the experience, but here it definitely is. Walking down the River Walk it was good to know that when we reached back to our destination, even late at night, that there was a bar fully staffed with food options. Pete tended to be our bartender, but Fernando was always around and willing to help if needed. The mixed drinks Pete made were always spot on, some of the best were the Agave Moonlighting, Blood Orange Spritz and the Old Fashion. The food was very good as well, and it was nice to have options to lounge around nibbling at while watching SportsCenter to see the results of games back home. Its positioning in the hotel takes it off and to the right of the main lobby entrance, around the elevators and towards the back. This allows for separation from the crowds coming up from the River Walk and through the main doors. The feeling of peace and quiet is a nice foil to the rest of the day and most welcome.

Nice large bar

By ogerkan |

Nice large bar w/ a lounge area. Lots of TVs for watching sports. Very crowded on one of the nights of our stay. Could not get a seat anywhere. Returned the following night as it had eased. Friendly bartenders.

Breakfast Buffet all the way!

By tigger42068 |

My husband and I were not expecting a buffet but we had a gift certificate to use so we figured we would try their breakfast. As to be expected the breakfast at the Hyatt is not a lower priced meal but the buffet was $18 a person and included made to order omelets. Everything was fresh and very tasty especially the potatoes. Our only complaint would be turkey or beef breakfast meats be added to the menu as we don't eat pork and even the chicken sausage was made with pork casing. I would highly recommend their breakfast. You get what you pay for and this definitely holds true.

Great food, big portions, reasonable price

By Haley W |

Great food, huge portions! We had the chicken fried chicken and it was delicious! Also the queso fundido, which was really good!

Typical hotel bar with VERY nice view

By David W |

This was a basic hotel bar with a decent menu and good service. The highlight here is the 2nd floor view overlooking the Riverwalk so make sure to get a table looking down onto the river. While you cannot interact with river, it is a great view.

Excellent staff - very good lunch buffet

By Julie E |

We had the lunch buffet. The food was fresh and tasty. The cookies were huge and delicious, as was the brownie. Waitstaff was very helpful, and kept my water glass full. They also offered a to-go cup for my water, without my prompting. Excellent staff!

Great breakfast buffet

By Beth H |

The Egginator was a master at personalized omelettes. Great food selection, breads, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, meat choices, juices and excellent coffee for $18 adults and $7 for kids. Service exceptional. Meal was so awesome we skipped lunch and had a light dinner.

Great Buffet Value

By Larry A |

While at a conference at the Hyatt, we ate breakfast and lunch in the restaurant several times. The food was fresh and tasty. We found the wait staff to be friendly and efficient even though the venue was quite busy with convention business.

Pasta bar is off the Chain

By Rocio B |

OMG they have a Pasta Bar Y'all!!! Like not your ordinary spaghetti and meatballs kinda deals but like an all you can eat MADE TO ORDER super delicious pasta kinda place. they also have LOTS of options on salads and sides to go along with it. I normally hate green beans, but they have this pumpkin seed/green bean/ Parmesan Romano cheese thing that was AMAZING. End it with their Dessert Bar and those Lemon squares and I was a super happy camper!

Anniversary Trip

By Fredria B |

Awesome amenities! The best location on the Riverwalk. You can see the Alamo from the hotel entrance. Great staff, very helpful. Superb workout facility.

Relaxing Environment with Good Drinks and Food

By Denise B |

Enjoyed stopping there for cocktails and a bite to eat a few times. Staff was friendly and food and drinks were great. Reasonably priced too.

Good restaurant choice in our hotel

By Funfivealive |

After a day at a conference, we wanted to eat somewhere close and decided to try the restaurant in the hotel. It was crowded and had a nice atmosphere and had read some good reviews on it, so decided to give it a try. We really enjoyed it. I had read to try the brisket tacos and our server agreed that I would not be disappointed. They were delicious and I also liked the cucumber martini.

Great BBQ

By tdawg40sw |

Everything about the experience was good. There was no wait to be seated. Service was fast. Food was excellent. We had the pulled pork, brisket, & smoked turkey. The coleslaw was spicy, the jalapeno cheese bread was good. Just an overall great experience. Highly recommend!

Good for breakfast

By Frederick G |

Staff was very pleasant and friendly and food was good. NOthing to write home about, but good and fairly priced.

Family Thanksgiving Trip

By Susan V |

We stayed at the Hyatt and enjoyed several meals at the Q. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet and had excellent service. On Thanksgiving evening we had a traditional Thanksgiving meal here also. Our waitress was attentive and friendly even though the food was just average. The buffet ran from 5:30-9:30 but we didn't dine until 8pm. Dining later may have been the reason that we were not impressed with the food. Some of it had obviously been sitting on the buffet for a while and was barely warm. I feel sorry for those who choose to arrive even later.

Pasta Bar is great

By DD G |

As a Downtown employee, I have been going to the pasta bar for years and absolutely love the pasta bar and the good natured and friendly cook, Danny. He always makes everyone feel welcome. He also always remembers my capers!

Unexpectedly Good Restaurant

By krystynamb |

I never expect much from hotel restaurants but this one pleasantly surprised me. It was easy to get a table 2 out of the 3 times I ate there, and the third time it was just as easy to sit at the bar and eat. I was hesitant at first but wound up finding the buffet to be a hidden gem on the menu.

Great lunch buffet!

By gddo |

My family really enjoyed their lunch buffet after walking along the riverwalk. It is easily accessible from the riverwalk via the hotel although you don't get a view of it from the restaurant. They have made to order pasta which includes 4 different types of pasta including whole wheat and many different ingredients such as baby shrimp, chicken, olives, garlic, etc. You get to choose from different sauces as well. They also had salad and vegetables, garlic bread, and desserts. The buffet also includes a non-alcoholic drink with free refills (including milk for the kids). I would highly recommend going.

Breakfast Buffet

By Stephanie M |

Amazing food, I def recommend the full buffet opposed to just the continental breakfast. Service and food were wonderful!

Q Food

By fzk1 |

Dining at Q I had both a good steak one night and a good salad another. The food is good and well prepared; we are looking at standard fare; service was a little slow as the restaurant seemed a little understaffed. Breakfast was very good with a good wide selection.

Accommodating to Gluten Free! Delicious food!

By Erbear289 |

We stayed at the Hyatt for my mothers conference. So far we have eaten both lunch and breakfast at Q. Pleasant staff, clean and comfortable dining. Lunch my mother had the buffet salad bar it was $12.95 and she raved about the grilled veggies. I had a Cobb salad which was big enough to save leftovers for the next day. We also got the salsa trio and guacamole appetizer which was very good- and big enough to take home- guacamole was delicious. The salsas had a red, a green and a BBQ smoked tasting one. Homemade corn tortilla chips. For breakfast I had an omelet and hash browns- very good. Excellent service. There appears to be a breakfast buffet as well but I did not get that. Coffee with my meal totaled $18.40 before tip. Expensive but very good, filling, relaxing and air conditioned!

Exceptional Service

By coco_tina |

Isaiah was phenomenal and knowledgeable. Our Casamigos Reposado shot with cinnamon and orange was FIRE 🔥. He enlightened us with info regarding various liquors and recommended excellent attractions in San Antonio. Thank you Isaiah!!

Eat elsewhere!

By Roxann G |

The food was sub-par at best. I watched them try to get my friend's order right 3 times and still got it wrong (she ordered the grilled tuna and got a tuna sandwich at first, undercooked tuna the second time and burnt tuna steak the third time), she finally gave up. The staff at the bar was so preoccupied with serving the men that the women got little to no attention at all. In a week at this hotel, we frequented the bar the first 3 nights hoping to get better service but it was always the same. If the men in our party were with us, we got drinks quickly and our drinks were refreshed constantly. When we went alone (just girls) we literally had to call a server over to get a drink. Decided it was better eating and drinking on the River Walk after the horrible service.

Very good BBQ

By Rick C |

I dined here twice, because I wanted to sample both of he pork ribs and the brisket. The brisket was semi-moist and had good flavor, but didn't have that smoke ring I would expect from Texas BBQ. I would also have liked to try them without the sauce in which they were mostly covered. The ribs had good texture. Didn't fall off the bone, but were relatively easy to take a bite from. Very meaty, and the spicy Kansas City sauce accented them well. A full rack was more than I could eat. They have an excellent bar, with flights of local beers and whiskeys for sampling.

Business Trip

By Joseph J |

Very good food and prices, and the waitresses were great and helpful! TVs are connected to Direct TV, so of course when it rains you don't get any reception.

Chocolate cake deliciousness

By stuva3 |

I do not typically have dessert in restaurants but this was a fantastic cake. It wasn't too rich and with the salted caramel glaze and side of ice cream it was something else! Definitely try it if you like chocolate ice cream.

Best Breakfast Ever

By Genesis M |

This place has the best omelet I ever tried. I ordered the three egg omelet and wow, im still in shock. The omelet was soft and fluffy and the mix of meat and veggies was a perfect combo. The meal came with toast and potatoes and they were just as delicious as the omelet

Pasta Bar!!!

By CrystalMO |

The pasta bar is the reason I keep coming back to Q. Manning the pasta bar is Danny and he is always very attentive, funny, and quick to make your made to order pasta. The variety of fresh ingredients and Danny’s willingness to accommodate special orders awesome. The pasta bar also includes a huge salad bar with several varieties of prepared salads and a make your own option, then there is also a desert section with cookies, pies, cakes, and tarts. It’s great to sample small bites to add variety to the lunch hour. If you work downtown or happen to be downtown for lunch stop in, you will not be disappointed!

Good food, not worth price however

By adamT149KQ |

I went to the breakfast buffet offered by the Q Kitchen with a buddy of mine. Was about 20$ a person without a drink. ( I drank water) The food is decent and a good variety, but the quality was not worth 20$ a person. The service was also decent and all in all, it was okay.

Might as Well Stay In

By StigJim |

Usually, I try to avoid hotel restaurants at conferences, but I had lunch at the Hyatt’s Q Kitchen with some colleagues and enjoyed it. I’d recommend the lunch salad buffet, which also includes the soup of the day, garlic bread, and Caesar salad. Everything seemed fresh and there was a nice assortment of greens. My colleagues who opted for the pasta bar—which includes the salad bar—really liked the choices and how the staff prepared the choices to order. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed, but all in all this was a pleasant lunch.

Wonderful Salad Bar

By sydette |

I enjoyed the salad bar, fresh and tasty, nice desserts, good service. The pasta bar was a disappointment to me. They heat up the pasta in olive oil, then put more olive oil over the pasta and you have a few choices to add if you wish. At the end of the line is Marinara sauce, Meat Sauce and Fettuccini Sauce to put on top. Because of all the olive oil, the sauce just slid off as you tried to eat you just had pasta, meat sauce fell to the side. Other than that the sauce was tasty.

Truly gourmet buffet not a bad price

By Valerie L |

We reserved a table for Christmas Day buffet ( thinking nothing is open Christmas LOL). There was not a big selection of food but what was there was truly gourmet. The food had gourmet reduction sauces and tasty desert. The buffet was only $30 which for true gourmet is a steal back in New York. I would pay at least $50 in New York Their coffee was smooth and tasty not your regular restaurant coffee.

Very quick stop

By Denny B |

Not a lot of patrons were on site. We just wanted to get in and out. Serve was ok ---we were looking for quicker. Will visit again when more time permits.

Perfect Kitchen/Bar on the Riverwalk

By FrankBullett |

I was staying at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk, And had the pleasure of eating at the Q on a daily basis. I was told that on Christmas day, it was fully booked, but when at 12:30pm I walked in, in a Bintang Tshirt, Shorts and sandles, the staff where more than happy to find me a table and welcome me. Just on that, I would go back. The bar staff, where very knowledgeable, food and drinks wise. They also helped me discover Brisket(love it) and Brisket Street Tacos(Thanks Rhiannon). If your in San Antonio, then do yourself a favour and check out The Q

Thanksgiving Day

By crissybear420 |

I absolutely love this restaurant. We celebrate Thanksgiving & Mother's Day here every year. Its a tradition my family started 10 years ago & we hope not to break it.

Good breakfast

By Burns57777 |

Had the breakfast buffet while at the hotel for a conference. The buffet is a little pricey but they had omlets to order and fresh fruit. They also had a decent gluten free section if that is you need or want.

Great Hotel Restaurant

By Patbear |

I was doing a site visit at this hotel since I will be taking a conference there. Ate both breakfast and lunch here and had the buffet for both meals. Surprisingly enough, lunch is cheaper than breakfast - but I enjoyed both meals. Breakfast omelettes were amazing, and I enjoyed the accompaniments. Lunch buffet is a pasta bar. Once again, you tell them what you want and they will custom make your dream pasta. Definitely a highlight was their prickly pear margarita. Came to the table looking like a lovely pink "barbie beverage" but don't let the color fool you - it is delicious! The staff are also amazing. The gentlemen cooking the pasta has been there for 35 years, and he was so friendly - definitely adds to the experience.

One of my favorites...

By Sarah G |

The pasta bar is the best I've ever been to. Fresh and good foods! Even when it's busy, the chef takes good care of you and even remembers our name each time we go in.

Great Breakfast Buffet!

By Ciara Wood |

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt for my Birthday weekend that ended up being awful weather with downpours of rain all day. So we decided to stay inside the hotel and eat breakfast downstairs. We were seated right away and told that the buffet is $18 per person and includes all drinks/refills. As I took a look at the menu, I noted that the breakfast menu items were are $13 and drinks were $4. So the buffet ended being a better deal and it was delicious! They had fresh omelettes made to order, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal, bread, gluten free muffins, biscuits, gravy, potatoes and scrambled eggs. I ordered a great egg white omelette with ham bacon and jalapeños. Service was good and we would definitely come back. We got their around 8:30am and were seated immediately but when we left at 9:15 there was a waiting line to be seated.

Good food.

By Glenn M |

Sometimes I am nervous about hotel food but this restaurant does a very good job. They had a salsa appetizer tray that was wonderful. Enjoyed breakfast there as well and got room service. Every meal was done as ordered. Everything tasted good. Nice place to dine. Enough room so that you can have a conversation without feeling as though you are disrupting to the meal at the next table.

Great place for happy hour

By suziq2Texas |

We have been here many times to the bar area for drinks and happy hour. Food is always good and reasonably priced - happy hour drink specials are good. Plenty of room to find a seat and enjoy a game on the many TVs or enjoy a riverwalk view

Great with kids / casual

By Jwilliams191 |

It was about 8pm with toddlers in PJS this place was perfect, especially since we were staying in the hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The brisket pizza and pork sliders were soooo good!

Horrible service/Tasteless food

By char06 |

Horrible service. Waittress was unfriendly and inattentive. We were nearly the only people in the place but had to go to the bar each time to get refills on our drinks. Food took forever to come out. Burger was tasteless as were the "homemade" chips despite a ridiculous amount of seasoning dumped on them. Daughter's chicken tenders were bland as well. Prices were way too high for the quality of food. Drink menu was excellent though and did enjoy the beer flights but could have used an explanation on which was which. Waitress just dropped it off then disappeared again as she did through the entire meal. Will never return. Complete waste of time and money especially considering how many restaurants are steps away. A shame to because the site and view is wonderful.

Good staff, nice place

By margaret t |

The food was ok. Good place for a quick bite. I had a sandwich once and also breakfast there. Keep up the good work!

A Must Try!

By Patricia O |

I had lunch here on the last day of my stay. Superb! The veggie sandwich was the best ever, and they make their own chips which were to die for! And, the best part of the meal was their triple chocolate brownies! They were heavenly! A must try if you are in the San Antonio area!

Total disappointment

By mckt12 |

This place got great reviews and is even listed on USA today as one of the top BBQ places in the area. The main restaurant isn't even open for dinner! Only breakfast and lunch so we sat at the bar top (probably should've been our first clue). We ordered the BBQ chicken wings as an appetizer... The BBQ sauce was so awful we literally only ate two of the wings and left. If you like the taste of chemicals and plastic this BBQ sauce is for you.

Perfect find!

By ryokogasuki |

Excellent cook to order pasta for lunch with your selected ingredients, soups, salad, good deserts and a few other dishes, plus soft drinks. All you can eat and drink for only $12.50!!! We were surprised to find this bar-restaurant in Hyatt regency. Excellent service.

Come on Down!

By Merry88Traveler |

Food was good even though the Breakfast Buffet didn't have a huge selection of food. The friendliness of the staff made up the difference. Lori the Hostess always smiles and is pleasant, Raul the Cook (The Egganator) knows his stuff with the omelets, Pete and Roland (servers) stayed way ahead of the game the service with refills of water, coffee, juice, and removing plates and the like from the tables before you blinked. Fantastic!

Enjoyed Our Breakfast

By Grant H |

We had breakfast at the Q Kitchen. The omelettes were excellent. The pastries were better than most. The bacon was tasty and crisp. The gentleman who prepared our omelette was easily “7 Stars”. $21 seemed on the expensive side of breakfast.

Great breakfast buffet--costly

By TR26 |

Breakfast here is costly--then again, they're in the Hyatt in a part of downtown where there are few other full breakfast options, so they have high rent and a captive clientele. Nonetheless, the fare was fine. The coffee was very good, the omelette station was professional, and the buffet selection included a savory brisket hash among other goods. You have the option of $22 for the full buffet or a cut-down continental only version for I think $14. The full one is my recommendation. I'll note that the check for the meal includes the oft-used "suggested tip calculation" at the bottom, ranging from 18% up. I tip more than that usually for full service, but here all the server does is bring beverages and clear your plate--you're serving yourself the entire meal. So you may not want to take their suggestions.

Very good

By Experience645967 |

Really good Italian food cooked to your Perfection right in front of you. This was my first time here and Dan " The Pasta-nator" made my experience so welcoming. I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant before my business trip is over. Thanks Dan your awesome!
