I was very disappointed! Our reservation was early in the evening. First of all, if a restaurant wants to be upscale and charge prices accordingly, they shouldn’t be playing loud dance music, specially being across from Lincoln Center. They had a branzino for 2. We ordered it and they came back telling us that they ran out. At 7:45? I ordered duck leg which came with potatoes. I asked the waitress if they could substitute the potatoes with additional vegetables and I was told that this was against their policy and I could order a side of asparagus for $14 dollars. The manager comped me for the asparagus (6 thin ones). The duck dish had one duck leg (small one) for $44. I do believe that this is outrageous. I don’t mind paying a high price for a good restaurant with decent portions, but this was not the case. The food quality is good, but this restaurant will not succeed unless they change the atmosphere, attitude and portions. They should remember that good customer service makes or breaks a business.

Nothing short of gorgeous, fantastic food, Well-kept and chic environment, well-organized friendly and very kind service. We will be back, go and try it

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Rampoldi NYC, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that exuded elegance and sophistication. the staff went above and beyond to make our evening extra special, every detail was handled with care, makinf us feel truly celebrated. Definitely a memorable evening.

Rampoldi is a Monaco-styled restaurant across from Lincoln Square where top-to-bottom culinary glamour is on display. This is an opulent place with white tablecloths, Italian marble floors, glimmering Murano glass, fine bespoke furniture from Milan, France and Monaco and a fabulous bar. There is room for a bit of the whimsical with a mural of Mona Lisa paying homage to Grace Kelly. Antonio Salvatore is the chief culinary officer of the Rampoldi with a Michelin star under his belt and his food catalog is steeped in a melange of the principles of classic French & Italian fine dining. The Rampoldi has crafted an extensive menu with loads of indulgent options like the following standouts: Penne Arrabbiata, Salmon Fillet, Red Wine Braised Beef and others. I put together a collage of Pumpkin Soup, Snails Baked in Garlic and dessert of Lemon Meringue Vanilla Sponge cake.......a sensational trio. Be well advised, check out the powerhouse dishes, drinks and decor at the Rampoldi.

A friend who lives in Monaco considers the Monaco original her favorite restaurant. I can see why. Last night I dined here with a friend before the Philharmonic. The cocktail was everything a "regular" gin martini should be. Apparently the restaurant uses Hendrick's--spot-on. Then came a copious salad, a delicious cajun chicken dish, and the lavender ice cream is worth the trip. The setting and service were everything they should be. And the noise level was appropriate for conversation. Rampoldi should be a synonym for hospitality...and a regular indulgence before a great concert!

Looks great- but don’t go. Staff forgot about us- noone came to our table for over an hour. Finally found a someone and they brought out food out in 2 minutes. Of course it was cold and not good as it had probably been sitting in kitchen. Very expensive, looks like a place for a special meal….. but based on our experience avoid at all costs.

The place is beautiful, and the service was amazing, I really recommend this spot to celebrate with friends and family. Please taste the dirty Negroni it’s so interested and elegant cocktail.

Such a fun night! The calamari was fantastic, and the bartender really knew her stuff! Drinks were fabulous! Will be going again, also the privet event space is such a hidden gem.

Monte Carlo class and quality in NYC! We felt like members of a noble family from the moment we walked in. Delicious gourmet food for a very reasonable price and thanks to Andrea, the master sommelier, we were able to drink a rare vintage wine that paired perfectly with our meal. For any wine lovers this is one of the most comprehensive wine lists I’ve seen in the city. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday so unforgettable!

Delicious French and Italian food, with luxury infrastructure, lots of hospitality and amazing lighting, I recommend them 100%

Beautiful white table cloth restaurant with amazing service along side welcoming, knowledgeable & attentive staff. Came for dinner with my fiancé who enjoyed the experience as much as I did. Drinks, food & desserts were all great. Jose, our server was also a pleasure. Will def come back & will def be recommending to friends & family. P.S. The bar is also great & does full dinner service as well!

A wonderful restaurant with friendly staff and excellent cuisine! All the dishes were delicious. The service was fast and attentive. Highly recommend!

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were with another couple. We liked the location as it was close to Lincoln Center and it has good reviews. We were told of the specials, including a fish special as a main course. We were not told it was for 2 people. We ordered appetizers and 3 main course dishes plus the fish special for myself. The appetizers were good. However the 3 main course dishes were all cold. We returned them to be made hot, and after a lengthy wait they were returned to the table, only slightly warmer. As we were heading to the ballet we didn't have time to wait for them to go back to the kitchen a second time. The fish dish was large, too large for one person but pleasant enough. We didn't have time for dessert and ordered cappuccinos which were cold! When we received the check we saw that the fish special was listed for 2 people and priced accordingly. This is incredibly deceptive from a restaurant of your caliber. The service started off well but dropped dramatically when we returned the main courses because they were cold. I have attempted to reach the restaurant since Sunday to discuss this, but they didn't answer the phone. I finally spoke to someone this evening and was told the manager is not available. I called back as they suggested and spoke to someone who "couldn't hear" me. I called back and he wasn't available. I called back again and was put on hold and then cut off. I called back again, 3 times and my call wasn't answered. All in all a continuing unpleasant experience.

Fantastic restaurant in the Lincoln center area! I went to Rampoldi for dinner on Saturday evening, a very elegant yet welcoming restaurant, waiter staff ready to satisfy every need with a smile! Excellent quality dishes! Absolutely worth trying, you will be happy :)

Rampoldi is New York’s upper west side go-to place. Our first visit made a “we’ll be back!” Impression. The ambiance is wonderful, the food delicious, with an excellent wine list, and the best Negronis and Martinis anywhere. When we are back in the city, we shall return!

Although we reserved a table for 21h we were rejected a few minutes after 21h with the greenery the kitchen was closed rudely. Reservations are possible online but until 21.30.

I’ve been meaning to try this spot after being drawn to its neon lettering outside. The location is fabulous, steps away from Lincoln Center. We came for restaurant week and it was a wonderful time. The ambience is very old school and fabulous. Surprisingly the place wasn’t too crowded, but I assume it’s because lots of New Yorkers are away from the summer. We got a bottle of Prosecco at a reasonable price (also courtesy of restaurant week), and each dish we had was excellent. I really liked my watermelon and feta salad, and the salmon entree was top notch!

Newly opened sister restaurant of the original in Monte Carlo, it has a prime location near Lincoln center and a huge potential if done right.I met some friends for dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was not very full, but it was end of August. The decor was a bit dated, specially the chandeliers, however I was told they replicated the flagship restaurant. The bar was very cool with the orange backdrop. The cocktail menu was limited but my Martini was spot on and my friend's Negroni was excellent too. Their wine list was nice but very expensive. I would say triple the price of the retail bottle. My group had a hard time finding a bottle of wine considering we know the original prices. Their Menu was very nice, they have a lot of carpaccios, pastas and fish and meat entrees. Overall everyone was extremely happy with their food but disappointed with the service. Service was slow and haphazard and clumsy. Some of the highlights were the beef carpaccio, the pastas, the salmon with the dijon mustard, and the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce. I would avoid the duck, unless you love cinnamon, my friend complained it had too much cinnamon, it overshadowed the other flavors. Overall we had a lovely evening. I recommend the management improve the quality of service and lower the volume of the music, because the food was excellent and the area needed a restaurant like Rampoldi. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Dined here with my girlfriend before going to see the Ballet in Lincoln Center. The service was very attentive but never overbearing. I drank a Rampoldi, their signature cocktail, and my girlfriend had a special cocktail, a white tequila espresso martini, both excellent! 👌🏽 We both had the prefix menu, and it was absolutely delicious, for a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back!

This is a very nice fine dining restaurant. The tables are well placed apart for discreet conversations and the waiters are polite and respectful. Whilst it's on the expensive side per dish, the portion sizes are very generous. I had the black cod and couldn't finish it. Others in the group had the beef cheek which the said was delicious and very tender. They have a singer and pianist in the evening and the sound level was really good and not intrusive. The restaurant is elegantly furnished.

If you’re looking for French cuisine, this is not it. They didn’t know what a pastis is or how to serve it. The Caesar salad was a perfectly fine Romaine salad but nothing like a Caesar; mini croutons, no anchovies, bland dressing. Boeuf tartare was too finely ground and served without toasts. All in all a disappointing experience. There must be a dozen better places within walking distance of Lincoln Center.

My family and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful dinner here to celebrate a milestone birthday. Service from the entire staff was top notch, ambience was elegant and chic and the food and drinks exceeded our expectations. We started with some cocktails that were masterly crafted by their brilliant bartender. We then moved on to some raw oysters on the half shell, followed by appetizers, our main meal and dessert. There were nine of us so a good cross section of their menu was represented from seafood to meat to pasta and everyone just raved about how delicious everything was. I was able to pre-order and reserve a few bottles of wine and they too (along with the wine service) were superb. Bravo Rampoldi!

Meal was outstanding....however, with restaurant less than half full, salad took over 30 minutes to be served and main course an additional 30 minutes. Also, the recorded popular music was loud (umpah, umpah) with vocal to pre-concert, ballet and opera diners. But the food was excellent. Much prefer the adjacent (same kitchen) Atlantic Grill (with some same menu items offered at a few dollars less).
Exquisite
From the very beginning when I was welcomed by Brooke the receptionist, I knew this restaurant was in a class by itself. The service was impeccable (David) with oversight from Andrea made me feel like royalty. I have dined at Jules Verne in Paris, on the Queen Mary 2 and at many other very fine restaurants, THIS restaurant eclipses all of them. I am wondering why it doesn't have 3 Michelin stars. When I saw that even the tablecloths were ironed between dining guests, I knew this was the restaurant for me. They even had live music with a wonderful pianist and bass combo playing standards while we dined. Class all the way!! I have a unique signature cocktail (Dr. T.) which I had asked to see if the mixologist could create for me. It was magnificent!! If you are into elegance and meticulous attention to your dining experience, I highly recommend Rampoldi at Lincoln Center. On a personal note, when other restaurants, e.g., La Boite en Bois, refused to make a reservation for a solo diner, Rampoldi not only made the reservation but when I arrived Brooke handed me a lovely bound compendium about the history of Rampoldi for me to read while I was being served. That small, but thoughtful gesture made all the difference in the world to me.
