We had lunch at Red Farm.. we ordered the PacMan dumplings, zuchine and eggplant fritters and one other appetizer; all were delicious. For our main we had a salmon dish and Good Fortune Noodles. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The seasoning and flavor was so original and there was more than enough in one order for three of us. The Noodles had three kinds of mushrooms and snow peas.. not your usual Chinese restaurant. If you are staying on the UWS, include a visit to Red Farm,.

This is my second time to Red Farm and I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. I have been to both locations in Manhattan. Food and service is impeccable. Unfortunately, I cannot suggest one or two dishes as the entire menu is incredible. Andy Wang, one of the managers sends out a personal email to ask about your experience and I was happy to give him positive feedback. I cannot wait to return to Red Farm, preferably at their latest location in London. Thank you Andy and the entire staff at Red Farm for making our dining experience so enjoyable.

We went last night and it didn’t disappoint. I have been a few times and each and every time the service and the food is outstanding. While it is pricey, they do deliver the goods . Well worth the visit if your on thr upper west side

There is no need to go to China Town, Red Farm is as god if not better. You can go from delicious Cantonese lobsters to American steaks, Peking duck to tasty tender chickens, steamed see bass … and flavorful dumplings of various kinds …. plus colorful fruit juices in a tall clear glass. It’s fantastic and it’s only a few blocks walking distance from Lincoln Center. Highly recommended lunch and dinner.

Check out the in line menu before you go. Everything is very good, well presented and you will want to order everything on the menu. We had a variety of dished that we shared. There was a bar next door that they directed us to to have a drink and wait for a table. We had pork, chicken and sea food selections and loved everything on the menu.

We were at the Red Farm of Coconut Grove. Excellent location, right in the heart of the Grove, very nice environment with decoration without ostentation. Immaculate service, extraordinary dumplings and a dream Beijing Duck. We will definitely be back.

Don’t understand the rave. Rather standard Chinese fare - salty and greasy - and ok service. I’ve had so much better in London. On the expensive side for what it is, hence 3 stars.

Only try, but really slice of home. Original taste, lovely foods, best staffs. Hm, the duck was amazing.

We sat at bar because restaurant so busy. Bartender couldn’t have been nicer! She was fun and made us feel welcome. Food was very good with huge portions.

First of all, you need money to live in this neighborhood. If you do, then this is extraordinary Chinese food. It's that good. It's also pretty expensive and crowded. Nice wine selection, friendly crowd, and servers. This has lots of options including vegetarian. Also, mostly fried food so if eating healthy is your thing, you have to look harder to find something. I would definitely come here if i was in the area

The atmosphere of this restaurant is casual and buzzy. The tables are close together, but everyone is happy and chatting away and pays little mind to the conversation at the next table. Indeed, in the middle of dinner, we were asked if we would change tables to a smaller table for two to accommodate a larger party and, as a gesture of appreciation we would receive free desserts. Loved that and thought that was the way a friendly restaurant ought to be. The best part of course is the food. We particularly recommend the salmon--fabulous. The desserts were also tasty and beautiful.

Excellent and a must visit place in NY. Dim sums, duck, beef or fish are tasty and fabulously prepared. Good cocktails ! Nice area ! Staff are friendly and will suggest good combination Take the time to eat there

Been here 4 or 5 times, always good. Especially like the several varieties of dumplings and golden seared scallops. And try the mango cheesecake dessert. Waitstaff is always knowledgeable and pleasant.

We have returned twice and enjoyed a creative and well-executed menu with superb service, the kind where our waiter remembered not only our names -- months after our first visit -- but the ingredients of what we ordered to drink.

RedFarm did not disappoint. It was excellent in all areas. The staff, atmosphere and food were all superb. I look forward to the next time I am in New York as I will be back.

It was very noisy but the food was delicious. Unlike typical Chinese restaurants, it’s upbeat, lively and casual dining. The restaurant’s design itself wasn’t much considered for young children (style of chairs & tables) but there’re many kids dining here. The food was very delicious- this was a main reason that parents loved to come over to eat. Quite modern but taste wise, I would say best in the neighborhood! It’s a bit more pricey side but good dining guaranteed though everyone spoke very loudly as it’s very energetic ambiance.

I have dined at both locations in Manhattan and Red Fram does not ever let you down. Customer service is impeccable and the managers, Andy and Craig are customer orientated and always accomadating. They are gold standards of NYC restaurant managers. The food is out of this world and generous. They are also vegetarian friendly. I wish I can recommend one dish but I can't although the steak is out of this world and perfectly cooked. The choices are all delicious! Reservation advice = Make sure you order the Peking Duck well in advance. If you love Thai, Japanese and Chinese, try Red Farm. You will be delighted and want to go back. I can't wait to go with my British family to the London location.

Went here by recommendation of a few friends and it was worth it. Family style dining with delicious Asian food. Everything was served as it was ready, so it was hot and fresh. The Crispy Beef was great. I ended up ordering takeout from there a few nights later and had the beef fried rice which was incredible

We had one or two sides and a few mains. The food was quite nice (chilli chicken, spring rolls, fried rice, dumplings) but massively overpriced. I think the above set us back $128 USD with taxes.

Stopped in on a whim after a show at the Beacon Theater. The food was excellent and service decent. The egg rolls were nice in presentation but weak in flavor. Pac-Man Shrimp Dumplings were fabulous as was the Short Ribs with noodles. The Five Flavor Chicken Dumplings were just ok. We had community seating and found it to be wonderful. Neighbors were not too chatty, but we did mingle.

Everything exceptional! Best Chinese dinner ever. Amazing Peking duck, fabulous dumplings with soup, I've never eaten such good ones. Everything we tried was delicious. I can't wait to go back

Once you entered the restaurant , you felt the most exhilaration energy and atmosphere! Staff were , witty , polite , friendly and so happy ! I don’t know if there are family members working there , their team was exceptional , professional and pleasant experience ! The restaurant was absolutely packed , yet staff were so efficient , services was excellent and Food was omg absolutely Fabulous ! Presentation , portions , taste all a mouth watering experience . Having travelled internationally, even in Asia is was some of the best authentic food I have eating ! Attaching photos ! This is definitely a place to visit and also try their cocktails , also delicious ! This is a place to visit when in NY , an exceptional Five Star Experience all round .

We stumbled across this little gem of a restaurant while walking through the West Village, and decided to give it a shot based on the excellent reviews. Wow! So good! The restaurant is small, but nicely decorated with modern farm to table type of feel. Started with the crispy beef, which was delightful and a cant miss. Then on to dim sum - the PAC-Man and chicken soup. Both excellent and would recommend. My daughter was especially loving the chicken soup. My vegetarian wife loved the crispy vegetable dumplings. Followed it with the Peking Duck, which is from the sister restaurant downstairs. I think we got the last one of the night (so tell your server if you want that dish immediately because he set one aside for us). OMG - just bliss. Sauces were excellent accompaniments and the pancakes were light and flavorful. Had the Asian broccoli too for veggies and it was great. For drinks, the Negroni is among the best I’ve ever had. Service was friendly and very informative. Overall a lovely evening. Not cheap but well worth it.

We stopped in on a Saturday night without a reservation and got lucky and were seated immediately. The spicy crispy beef was amazing. We also enjoyed bacon & egg fried rice and very savory pork & crab soup dumplings. The service was efficient and friendly. All in all an enjoyable dinner.

We’ve been to Red Farm before, it’s just delicious. Don’t miss something, anything, with duck. The setting is warm and friendly, lovely staff. Our only issue is the white cloth napkins shed terribly on black clothes.

I come here on every trip. The food is fantastic, the service great, and I love the neighborhood feel of the place. Everything I have every had is fantastic, whether I order dumplings, soup dumplings, the amazing pastrami egg roll (always have to have this) or any number of other dishes.. Not to be missed.

My wife and I (age 71) and son (age 35) had dinner on a Saturday in June. Having eaten at the Village branch, we had a good idea of what to expect. This is what I would call upscale Chinese, nicer vibe than Chinatown and much better food than the common American strip mall Chinese. We would be thrilled to have a branch where we now live in SW Michigan. Be aware that the food comes fairly quickly, even though our waitress suggested we order soon because they were busy. We had an assortment of small plates and mains, and enjoyed them all, particularly the sesame noodles and vegetable fried rice.

Having visited New York for an annual visit for the last three years, this has become one of our favourite restaurants to go for lunch. Food and service have been consistently outstanding, even by New York standards. We look forward to our next visit!

Great food, lively atmosphere! I have dined at Red Farm several times, and it is always always a great experience. Service is excellent!

Hey! Went with a friend and we loved the atmosphere. Very nice decor. The waiter was unfriendly, though. I guess it was not his best day. The food was excellent, specially the beef shrimp dumplings with mushrooms, but overall its really overpriced. We got 8 dumplings and the scallops and shrimp rice and the total was $38 per person. Happy dumplings!

Red Farm really lived up to the great reviews. We were going to a show at the Beacon Theatre so we arrived around 5:45, and by the time we finished our dinner at 6:30 the place was heaving and many were waiting to be seated. The atmosphere is comfortable and it’s one of the most spacious NYC restaurants I’ve very been to. There is room between tables, you don’t feel like your on top of the table next to you. There were also plenty of people eating at the bar. The wait staff is friendly and will give great suggestions from the menu including dishes and quantity to order. The food was excellent! We opted to order 5 small plates to share instead of ordering entrees. We had the duck with lychee (amazing), 3 color vegetable dumplings (probably the best dumplings I’ve ever had), the tuna salad - vibrant and fresh, black cod tart, and the crispy oxtail dumplings. Each small plate was not only delicious, but was presented beautifully. The flavors were great. The meal was slightly on the expensive side, but the food is so good you won’t mind. Highly recommend!

We have come here for years because the creative Chinese fusion cuisine is the best in Manhattan. The servers are friendly, the bar is good, and the food superb. Red Farm has acquired a prestigious reputation (hence reservations are highly recommended) and has some claim to excellence. There's just one big seasonal problem. For several years now, the air conditioning has been unreliable. The restaurant seems to try to ignore this, but it's very hard for diners to do so when it's 90 degrees in the dining room. We sweated through our last dinner there, and it isn't the first time this has happened during a summer. Nor do the proprietors bother to notify their guests with reservations that there's a problem. I recommend Red Farm in spring, fall, and winter -- but not the summer.

This is nothing like a typical Chinese restaurant. The dumplings are incredible, and available in so many varieties. The duck and noodles are fantastic. Don't expect to see the usual Chinese restaurant menu items. They don't have those, but rest assured, whatever you order will be outstanding! It is rather expensive. Our meal (no drinks) for 2 adults and two very small children was $125 + tip. On a Friday or Saturday night, expect a very crowded restaurant. They don't take reservations, but do allow you to call ahead for a spot on the waiting list. Get there early (before 6) if you want a seat on a Saturday night. It's worth waiting for as the outstanding food justifies the high cost.

Unique dumplings with great flavors. We also had the crispy duck salad which has a boring name but is spectacular. Fried duck leg/thigh and a delicious salad. Duck was moist and crispy. Salad was perfectly dressed (and where did they get a perfect avocado in December?) Also delicious were the crab and duck dumplings — they came with Thai curry vegetable that were light and went surprisingly well with the dumplings.

We went for dinner before a theatre trip on Wednesday 3 July. The dishes were fresh, hot and tasty. The service was superb, as was the variety of drinks on offer. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will be back when we return to NYC!

Very interesting and tasty Asian fusion. It's connected to Decoy restaurant below. You can possibly get their famous and tasty roasted duck by asking the server. The Kowloon beef tart is one of the best out of the number of dish we tried.

We are staying opposite this restaurant and after a long day we went on the wait list for a table. We were shown to a table as soon as we arrived and the food was a revelation. We had soup which comes in a huge bowl and spring rolls which were so pretty like trees in the forest and tasted delicious. We then shared dumplings and again the flavours were great. It was a light meal but filling and we will be going back we were so impressed.

Sat at the bar with a friend and the bartender, Shane, was so wonderful! He helped us with food and drink recoemndations (get anything he suggests). He was so charming and helpful! The food was fantastic. We had shrimp dumplings and the crispy beef which is a MUST! This place rocks!

Tasty, fun and reasonably priced! It should be on the list for any NY trip. We visited here upon recommendation after we couldn’t get into Boudkhan (water was off). Thanks for the advice, great place and great service. Good booze choice and amazing food.

Amazing restaurant!! Food was fresh and delivered hot. Service was great. Very knowledgeable and quick to recommend and we were very happy with recommendations We had a slight accident with wine spilling and very attentive in resolving it. My granddaughter is gluten-free and they had a separate menu just for gluten free. She was very Happy We will definitely go back

Dropped by this delicious little place while strolling around the Greenwich area. So lucky! Had the long life noodles, chanterelles & shitakes (great call for kids) and the pork & crab soup dumplings. Superb experience. The japanase whisky list is also very interesting!

Only a few blocks from my cousins apartment, we made it twice to this perfect combination of asian and American food. First Waiter came by to chat with us second time. The shortrib special was so perfect. Love the dumplings and the duck noodles. Only dish we did not love was the porkchops which were a bit chewy. Would go back anytime

Fantastic food complimented a great evening meeting an old friend. We picked apps and one course and split everything. Wish I had more room. Very cool atmosphere. Will return!

Wonderful experience. Food was unbelievable, service impeccable. From the Maitre de who snagged us a booth to Matt our waiter who was fantastic I highly recommend RedFarm. Worth your time and be sure to try the Sichuan dumplings and the thin rice noodles!

I don't even think I can call this Chinese food. It was absolute terrible food Under any condition and yet the place was jam packed with upper West sider. . I guess younger people had no experience in what is Chinese food food they just go there. This is a place where the service was terrible, the food was terrible, and frightfully expensive for what they have with a very limited menu. My advice avoid this place. TripAdvisor rating must be by the owners of the restaurant.

It's been about 2 years since my last visit to RedFarm and much hasn't changed. The service is still good and the food is still amazing. We got there a little before dinner time and was able to immediately sit at a table. For starters we ordered the Pastrami Egg Roll (MUST HAVE), Shrimp Corn Truffle Dumplings, and Shrimp Wonton Soup (Probably Best Wonton Soup I’ve had to date). RedFarm is family style sharing so we picked 1 meat and 1 rice dish for dinner. The Stuffed Shrimp Crispy Chicken and Bacon & Egg Fried Rices was delicious and hit the spot. We weren’t able to finish all our food so we got it to go. Overall the experience was really good. Our waiter was a little scatter brain that night so another waiter stepped in. I wish RedFarm wasn’t so expensive. It would definitely be a place I would go more often. Our meal came upto $100 without tip.

I went with my best friend on a recent trip to NYC. The decor is casual and comfortable. There is a long shared table in the middle, booths on the side, a bar and another room which I did not go in to. I always prefer to sit at a bar if I am only with one friend, so that is what we did. This location is apparently easier to get in to than the other location, FYI. We basically had dim sum - and split five appetizers.....two orders of spicy crispy beef, diced tuna with crispy noodles, pan-fried pork buns and five flavor chicken dumplings. The beef was sooooo good, hence the two orders. It was sweet, but oh so yummy, I would love it as an entree over plain white rice. The tuna dish does come with accompaniments not listed - blueberries, jicama, salmon roe and grape tomatoes. I enjoyed it although I would have enjoyed it a bit more without those things. I picked them out and then ate my tuna last - I just love it. This was only my second time trying pork buns and I preferred these over the first ones I had - the pork is sweet but not overdone. The chicken dumplings were nice and I believe we may have had 5 and not 4 as listed. We talked to two bartenders and they both provided excellent service - chatty and not overbearing. Dirty martini was top notch. Our 5 dishes, three cocktails and one beer totaled about $130ish before tip and we were full and satisfied. I would go back next time I am in the city!

This is a remarkable Chinese restaurant. Dishes are inventive, unusual and just plain delicious. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world, and for many years, several times a week. The flavors are bold and subtle in the same bite. The dumplings are feather light and stunning. At the end of my meal my mouth tasted clean, not like an oil spill had passed through it. My friend told me the restaurant was owned by Ed Somebody, and I replied, you mean, Ed Schoenfeld? So now I understood why everything was spot on. Have loved everyone of his restaurants for over 50 years. I wish it was on the East Side. Never mind, it’s worth the commute from the upper east side.

Stopped in for late evening supper at Red Farm. While we were unable to get a table when we arrived, there was room for two at the bar and we took advantage. Staff were friendly and helpful while not being suffocating or trying to hurry us along with menu selection as well as beer selection and overall service. We had a couple of the dumpling plates (delicious) as well as the spring rolls which were good. Overall a good experience that was a little expensive with respect to the portion size...six dumplings instead of four would be spot on the money.

Innovative farm to table Chinese food. Tight, noisy, and very busy. I recommend you get there early. High quality food cooked and presented in creative ways. Well worth putting this place on your visit list.

This is our favorite Dim Sum place. The food is always great as is the service. I would definitely recommend it.

Delicious food and great service. We sat at the bar as we were not able to get a reservation for inside. The space is warm and lively. The food is fresh and delicious with quality ingredients without glutinous sauces. We had shrimp with cashews and vegetables and pork and shrimp dumplings. Both dishes were wonderful. The place is expensive so that’s the only down side. The shrimp dish did not come with rice but we were glad in the end. It’s located near the Beacon Theater if you are looking for a great place to go.

Excellent neighborhood find. The XO sauce is light, delicious. We ordered from Daily Special Menu. To avoid wait, we chose to eat at communal table. All others were from the area. Will definitely add to personal “where to eat in NYC” list

The pork chops and the Brussels sprouts and green beans are great. The dim sum offering is quite ample and the fried rice with bacon is to die for. This is the place for innovative Chinese food.

Just dined in Red Farm in Covent Garden and had a fantastic meal. The wait staff couldn't have been nicer and happier. I even commented to them about how happy all the staff were. That makes a huge difference to the dining experience. The food was excellent and creative - ribs, pac man dim sum, poppers, scallop, brussel sprouts. My biggest request to Ed (owner) was bring the restaurant to Palo Alto. We desperately need great restaurants and the food here was fantastic. Highly recommend!

The food is outstanding. Everything we had. There isn't a bad dish on the menu. All the staff is friendly, accommodating. We will definitely be back. I wish the prices were a little more reasonable.

Delicious!!!! Loved the small plates - dumplings & pastrami egg roll. Shared the sea bass & short ribs w udon noodles. Will definitely return!

It was amazing! The food all stayed amazing couldn’t complain about anything. The service was also brilliant and very accommodating. The restaurant was very busy which was a good sign.

The dumplings were good, the rest of the food merely OK. We found this rather amazing given the restaurant's high pretensions and extraordinarily high prices. Photographs on the menu are misleading. We have eaten much better at unprepossessing Chinese restaurants for much less money.

Cozy atmosphere & fantastic dumplings! I need to make it a mission to try them all but started with the Pac Man, ox tail & 5 flavor chicken. Service could be a little warmer, but overall a great experience.

The Red Farm is a happening place and was always busy with a line up and as others have said very noisy inside. We had no problem with the noise and close proximity of the tables as after all you are in New York. The food is incredible and the best we have ever had, the food was so good we ate here twice.

Stopped by on Christmas Day for lunch. Lunch at Red Farm was by far the best meal during this trip to New York. We ended up sharing number of small plates between four people. All the dishes were very unique and tasted great. First dish was sweet and sour soup which I would place as best sweet and sour soup

really excellent, beyond expectation. had to wait a while even though we had booked, but they were very gracious. we sat at the bar and had great service. peking duck was simply amazing .

As I am in a wheelchair, I always contact the restaurant ahead of time to make sure I can get access and seat out-of-the-way. I’d been going back-and-forth on emails in advance of our trip in the city for the Seinfeld show and was set up for a 5 PM reservation this evening. Of course tonight was the night a dump truck decided to have an accident on route 80 and we were running an hour behind. I let the restaurant know and promised to contact them when we were close. We finally walked in the door a few minutes before 6 PM and our seats were waiting for us. Big kudos to the restaurant and the management for helping us work through this big delay and still have our seats waiting. We let our waiter know that we had to be out the door in 45 minutes so we could make the 7 PM show. We ordered drinks and three appetizers. The drinks arrived promptly and and our three orders of appetizers arrive perfectly timed with each appearing about every 7-8 minutes. The oysters were delicious, the duck dumplings tasty and the accompanying miso soup shooters actually allowed me to enjoy the soup; is which is quite difficult as my hands don’t work so well. They can hold a shotglass though! We finished up with a shrimp/crab meat combo. We asked for the check, settle the bill, drained our beverages and walked out the door at 6:45- plenty of time to make our 7 PM show. The food was delicious and the service was top-of-the-line and made the start of our evening a blast!

We had a lovely dinner here. Everything was delicious, particulary good were the Soup dumplings, the cocktails and dessert were also excellent. The place was packed, we couldn’t get a table inside, so we reserved a table “outside” which worked out OK; not the same atmosphere as inside, but it was heated so could sit there even on a cold day. Strongly recommended.

Great little find. Modern Asian. Great atmosphere. Busy but they found us a table very fast. Hand made lemonade and great wines by the glass. Food was wonderful. Try the duck lettuce wraps, Pac-Man shrimp dumplings and fried rice with BBQ beef. Main was the lobster with pork and omelette. Awesome and tasty. This is a must visit if staying Upper West Side.

A friend recommended we visit Red Farm when we came to NYC. We arrived at the restaurant hungry, after walking & exploring for hours. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The shrimp with truffles was mind-blowing. Try it!

I love our visit to Red Farm. Bring our first time, I did not know what to expect. As soon as I walked in, I loved the place. Being Christmas Day, it was busy creating a great buzz. I loved the menu, and the food was fantastic. The only downside was our table. We were close to the door, which meant a regular Arctic blast hit us everything a new customer arrived or deliveries left. As it was busy, there was no point complaining as all the other tables were being used. The overall experience was positive, and I highly recommend Red Farm.

This resturant is great. Bt with deliveries the food comes cold and no longer is the food great. They use Caviar for delivery and they are continuously late and the food comes cold

Excellent Chinese food on the Upper West Side. One of those restaurants where you look at the food being served to others and you want it all. Lobster was superb along with Chinese broccoli and shiitake mushrooms. Shrimp and corn pot stickers were outstanding. Other dishes served at the table next to us were pork chops loaded with veggies , and 2 different dumpling dishes. Can’t wait to go back. Not horribly expensive by NY standards.

Had a fun dinner with family on Sunday night. The place was packed, but service was excellent throughout the meal. My favorite item on the menu was the pastrami egg roll. We also tried the bbq beef fried rice and the Nueske's bacon and egg fried rice. I didn't care for the flavor of the bacon fried rice, but enjoyed the beef fried rice. Other dishes we tried were dumplings and egg rolls. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, entrees are served family style. Reservations are definitely needed on the weekend.

The food was so so very good and the presentation was completely delightful. Yummy cocktails. Good wine list. Helpful waitstaff

We had several dishes . The rib eye was amazing. The udon noodles with short ribs was delicious. Grilled chicken fried rice was great. Three Chili Chicken was perfectly spiced. The staff was VERY friendly and efficient. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We prefer a booth which was comfortable and private.

The food and ambience here is just great. We had crab and prawn soup wantons. Such an unusual dish that made for a lovely experience. We also had beef noodles. Very good. Great recommendations on wine. Enjoyed our evening thoroughly. If you have the time do visit. I definitely will on my next trip.

We had high hopes for this restaurant -the menu showed promise with offerings of soft shell crab, dumplings and other delights. However we could not have been more disappointed. The food lacked flavour in fact the soft shell crab tasted like nothing more than deep fried fare despite me lathering it in lime juice. The bill was outrageous given the quality of the meal coming in at $200 for two for two courses and a cocktail each.

As a New Yorker that knows about every good restaurant in the city , I was surprised I had never had the pleasure of eating here. Crazy busy, and noisy but worth it ..the food was De-Lish. I will be back !

Used their “reservation system” which is to basically get your name on the list and then you call 15 min before requested time and they let you know what the wait time will be. When i called the wait time was almost nothing. We even sat outside which was perfect tonight and a lot quieter than sitting inside. Staff is so friendly and accessible and plentiful too! They did not rush us, but clearly wanted to get things going so we ordered appetizers and then dinner to share. It was all fresh, hot and delicious! I’ve been here several times. Always consistently good and yet there are always new things to try.

I have not eaten in every Chinese restaurant in NYC or elsewhere but I have been to quite a few and dine pretty good ones. However Red Farm has the best Chinese cuisine I have ever encountered. This was our second visit to this unassuming upper West Side restaurant, the last being 3 years ago, and the food did not disappoint. The dim sum is extraordinary. The service is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this if you are on the upper West side.

Came here for dumplings and noodles and though it was advertised as such, the service and atmosphere was definitely western and farm country like (not Asian). Dumpling portions were small, noodle entrees were "dry" (not much soup broth), and the menu prices were high (it's NY afterall) and not a good value for the money. If we wanted real Chinese food I think we would have been better served elsewhere. Service was NY-style, not much to say about it and nothing out of the way or special.

Second visit. Too crowdy and needed to wait too long for table. The food is served fast and is good. However totally over priced for Chinese food... Not worth the hip.

Unpleasant smell (an understatement) from the outside flowing into the restaurant. This could probably be mitigated if the restaurant handled its outside enclosure better or fixed the ventilation system (don't know what can be done). Anyways, one may end up eating while there is the smell from the underground ventilation. Service and food are ok, but nothing special by NYC standards.

I have been here a couple of times (pre-Covid) and it was a tough reservation but worth it. Very creative cuisine - we mostly had seafood and vegetarian and everything we had was interesting and spicy and beautifully presented. They also had interesting cocktails. Even though it was high level food, it is very comfortable and unpretentious. Looking forward to a return visit.

We started with hot and sour soup which came with massive and delicious grilled shrimp. The skinned smoked chicken was awesome and the bacon fried rice to die for. Just awesome.

red farm is a staple in our lives. the food the cocktails the casual friendly nature that makes it so doable w kids too. i would say some of the best chinese in nyc!

Strangely, this side of Broadway never gets the attention that the West side does. Lots of lovely and often small restaurants, each serving eclectic and tasty food. This is no exception and indeed is a better experience with Asian food than some of the pure Asian restaurants nearby. Certainly a wonderful place to try to which we are delighted to return.

My adult son and I arrived at around 5:10 on a Friday night and immediately got a table. The staff was friendly and efficient. I get the idea that the food comes out as it is ready. I had a crispy skin smoked chicken with the garlic, which came in a relatively generous portion for me and I loved it. My son is vegetarian, though eats seafood and there were plenty of things he could eat. No complaints, happy with everything, but this place does fill up quickly.

Uniquely prepared dishes, from salad to appetizers to entrees. Absolutely delicious. Crunchy fried rice, wow. Signature pacman dumplings were incredible, and entrees were great.

We visited here with friends who have dined here throughout the summer. Being a lover of Chinese food, I was in heaven. No reservations taken but we had our name on the waiting list and got seated immediately. Ordering was easy - we let our friend’s take the lead. My favorite was the PacMan - the shrimp were plump and cooked perfectly. Cute presentation. And the guacamole and tempura sweet potato were a pleasant surprise! We also had friend rice (yum), Flat noodles with beef, duck lettuce wraps (my second favorite), truffle dumplings (I don’t enjoy truffle so I didn’t eat there but everyone liked them). Everything was really tasty and was brought out as each dish was ready. Service was great. And to top it off, we saw Paul McCartney dining in the restaurant! I wish there was a Red Farm in Florida because I would be their number one foodie!

This place never fails to delight for creative, consistent, delicious Chinese food with a gourmet twist. You can order pretty much anything and you will be pleased. I've never had a bad meal, and the drinks are great too.

This food was fantastic! Asian Fusion at its best. One of the sauces was a perfect combination of Indian and Thai. The place is busy and noisy, but the food is worth it!

We're the grandparents and while spending a week-end in NY with our daughter, her husband and two teen-age girls we dined at the Red Farm. It is not cheap but worth the price since the meal was exquisite in every way. The service was quick and efficient and although, as a late booking, and with 6 of us we had a time limit of 90 minutes and were very pleased with the experience. The Peking Duck is a show piece and not to be missed. The dumplings were excellent. Wine and beer prices very reasonable

I was walking along Broadway and saw Red Farm. The plates at the outdoor seating area looked fantastic so I decided to stop and have dinner. A nice wine selection and so I settled on a Chardonnay from the US. I couldn’t decide quite what I wanted to I had an order of vegetable spring rolls. The dish was fantastic to the eye and the first time ever that I saw spring rolls served vertical. The ends were frayed and they were excellent. Likely the best spring rolls I ever ate, so I ordered a second. Unfortunately I didn’t have any other items. The service was quick, efficient and friendly. I’d definitely come back to this restaurant to try other items.

Went for a late brunch. Each dish was better than the other and presented with a fun flair. Duck omelette, broccoli, vegetable rolls and many more. Fresh and service was fast.

I chose Red Farm so that we could order the Peking Duck (from Decoy, the sister restaurant). You need to make a reservation for the duck & Craig was very helpful and patient with my changing my reservation dates three times (big thanks!). Well, I can report that our party of 8 loved every bite of our meal: pork belly, soup and Pacman dumplings and pork buns, udon noodles with beef, as well as the star of the show, Peking Duck! The meat was super tender and the pancakes were light and fresh (it was some of our first Peking Duck that we actually liked, too). We had fun trying the 3 sauces with it (hoisin was our favorite). Next time we will love to try out more of the delicious menu! Also, our waiter, Dan, was just super (we all commented that he added to the experience).

My most recent experience here was a disappointed. My husband made a reservation for my birthday dinner by calling the downtown location. Unbeknownst to us, the call was transferred to the uptown location. When we showed up downtown for our reservation, the restaurant was closed. Not a big deal. So we ended up going there a few days later and we told the restaurant (I believe we told the owner or the manager) what had happened. They didn't try to make up for it in any way. It was their error so they should have at least offered a complimentary drink ($9 for a $1.50 CAN of beer was a little token to treat customers right). But nothing. Anyway, this review is a long time in the making. I used to love this place, but their food isn't quite as good as it used to be. Although the prices are high ($49 for a dish of lobster fried rice? Or $29 for shrimp fried rice that comes with small shrimp?), I always enjoyed the food enough to justify the price. No more. After being a loyal customer for at least 6 years, I think the restaurant should have treated us better after making a mistake on a birthday reservation. I am not returning.

We were seated outside at 8:00PM in a rather drab seating area, instead of the 7:30 reservation we had been promised. My water glass had to be sent back because of someone'sipstick was still on it. The Prosecco wine @ $14/glass was so bad we had to send it back. The crab and duck dumplings were a bizarre combination with an extremely hot sauce. The BBQ spare ribs were meaty but not crispy and were $18.95 for 4 fairly small ribs. The BBQ pork chop @ $29.95 were two uncut thin dry slabs of meet heavily covered with veggies and supplied with only a serving spoon when a knife and fork were needed. The steamed shrimp were rated good. The desserts, key lime pie and a chocolate layer cake, totally non typical for a Chinese restaurant, were excellent but over priced. To be fair, they exchanged the wine for a different type at no charge. Still in all, I wouldn't go back again.

The place is located in broadway and is convenient to many people. The menu is divided into logical divisions and is nice to go with friends to share. Some of the dishes were very good and others were but. I found dine meat to be inedible. Their service however is top notch snd they speed you through. The Major reason for an average rating was extremely noisy conversations that made communications difficult

Just moved in to the UWS and Red Farm was recommended to us by a friend. Loved it and can't wait to come back. Enjoyed the cocktails and the food. So many options to choose from so we'll want to try different items next time. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable service too!!

No need to go to Chinatown for delicious NY/Chinese food: just head to Red Farm in the Upper West Side! The drinks and the food -- all are awesome -- but the Peking Duck? To die for. Charles, the manager, is fantastic; his staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive: we felt taken care of during our meal and never wanted for anything, not even a water refill. This needs to be a stand-by on everyone's list!

Two couples. We were staying at a hotel across the street and the staff recommended the Red Farm without mentioning that it was Chinese cuisine. Not a problem as we all like Chinese - just a surprise. In any event our meals were all excellent. I particularly liked everything with duck as an ingredient. Our server knew his business, and made excellent recommendations. Prices were not cheap, but reasonable given the quality (and quantity) of the food, and the fact that it's in NYC. It was on the noisy side.

We went to the Upper West Side location. The first word that comes to mind is "rush". The waiters keep coming to your table to ask "are you done with this?" when there's still food on the plates. The impression this creates is that the customer is expected to leave i.e. waste, some food on the plate. Clearly there's need for staff training. As for the food, I had the diced lamb which was OK, nothing special. My companion had the mussels with eggplant and okra; a valiant innovation but hard to taste how the eggplant and okra added to the flavor; indeed the eggplant and okra flavors get lost. More egregious is the serving of Indian chapati style bread with the mussels; the bread tasted good on its own but gooey with the mussel broth.

Never could I have imagined that at 5:30 pm there would be an hour wait to get a table. We tried to grab dinner before the play. We ended up eating at the bar. The food taste as good as it looks. We ordered way too much and ended up eating almost everything. The fried rice and pockmchops went very well together. Soup dumpling were scrumptious. My cravings for sprains was 100% satisfied.

Just had one of the best dining experiences, savorying every dish. Almost passed on the invitation for dinner, so glad I rallied. Had the privilege to meet Ed the owner. Wow just wow.

We joined friends here for dinner and it is a loud place, tables pretty close to each other. The service was excellent and the waiters really knew the food and could help us make good choices...the food itself was very tasty and there was nothing we ordered that we were in the slightest disappointed in. However, this did come at a cost. The food is simply way overpriced for what you get and the environment it is served in. They must have a huge profit margin. Servings were delicious, but small and easily double what other good places I've eaten in charge for similar dishes. Go ahead and enjoy your meal, but know ahead of time that you'll be paying for it at the end!

Chinese fusion at its best. The French country ambiance meshed well with the Instagram ready dishes (and they had a wonderful taste to match with the visuals )

Upper West Side location: This is a farm to table restaurant and everything is organic, locally sourced, innovative, and just plain amazing. There are plenty of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. You must have the hour and sour soup with its accompanying grilled shrimp ~ family style so plenty for 2-3 for an appetizer. Don't miss the BBQ Duck when it's on the specials menu. The Crispy Skin Smoked Chicken is on the regular menu and is delicious. All the fried rice dishes are wonderful. The Sauteed Corn on the Cob is great. Service is attentive and they don't hesitate to recommend dishes! Most of the seating is family style. It is a lively and lovely restaurant but they don't take reservations for parties fewer than 8 people. The trick is to get there around 5:00ish - otherwise you will wait. They also serve the full menu at the bar which is first come-first served. Pretty easy to get 2 comfortable stools at the bar if you don't want to wait. We live on the Upper West Side and we love Red Farm!

We loved it all and will be back in the next week for more during our visit here. We had the Pastrami Egg Roll (awesome) with nice, semi spicy mustard; the Pacman dumplings which are 4 cute and tasty lobster-based pockets of love; the shrimp & snow pea dumplings and the five flavor chicken dumplings! And they have an awesome Austrian (?!) rose that rivals Provence wines. And the people here are super cool!

The service killed the whole experience. We were stuck in a corner. With such a rude staff member, it killed the experience of the food. Please do yourself a favor and get good food somewhere else.

Came here with my brother who's lived in manhattan 10yrs and rates this his number 1 restaurant. Based on our experience I can see why. Delicous dim sum - pacman dumplings anyone!? Scallion pancakes, crispy crab and duck pancakes and prawn stuffed shishito peepers all delivered. Finished off with truffled egg rice and a beautifully cooked short rib. I can see why this place is so popular. They also mix a mean cocktail and the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Communal seating or booths make for a really nice environment. Highly recommend.

really liked the decor and feel of the place, very friendly staff, great menu for vegetarians, the dumplings are superb, the mango salad is very refreshing and the main course also has sufficient variety for vegetarians, we went twice during our recent trip to new york and highly recommend it.

We sat at the bar, friendly helpful bartender. The duck and chicken special were amazing. Would love to go back and try some other things on the menu- would definitely recommend.

I loved the Pastrami Egg rolls. Not as impressed by the short rib fried rice. I heard great things about this restaurant but the food doesnt live up to the hype.

The soup Dumplings are superb. The roasted beef fried fried is not your usual.. big chunks of beef surround delicious rice. The cheeseburger spring roll, a special on our last visit was high cal, but sublime. Everything here is great. Service can be uneven but the food is unique and devine.

This is the first time I've been back to an old favorite since the pandemic. It still has the absolute best take on Chinese dishes in NYC. I was disappointed, however, that the Peking Duck no longer comes with the little shot glass of scrumptious duck soup and the other little things that it used to come with. More money for that dish without the same "extras" that made it so special.

Not the cheapest place to eat, but worth every penny! Food is sublime and cannot wait to get back to try more items.

4 of us came here because of the TA reviews . As usual we were not disappointed . Crowded and a little small with decidedly rustic decor . Supercilious waiter , more interested in performance art than imparting knowledge about the menu . Excellent food . We shared the ordered dishes in the usual way . No disappointments . Pan fried shrimp appy , pork chop dish , short ribs and noodle , fried rice , thin egg noodles plus a few others that I can’t remember ; all fabulous . We were told to order two dishes each and we did . Way too much food and consequently way too much money . The dishes all seemed overpriced to me and when they push you to order more than you should the bill is way too high .

I usually don't review "local" NYC restaurants unless they're particularly good or bad. In this case, upon the recommendation of friends, we ate outdoors at this local UWS restaurant and came away saying this could be the best Chinese food we've ever eaten. Dishes are incredibly unique, delicious and beautifully presented. Service was outstanding. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

I had been reading about Red Farm recently as a branch just opened in London and is extremely popular, and while in NYC I had an appointment a couple of blocks away from the Upper West Side Red Farm so thought I should try it out. It was a Tuesday lunchtime and not busy at all - I was on my own but seated at one of the 2-person booths which was very nice. I wanted to try everything on the menu... but being on my own at lunch I restricted myself to the famous Pac-man dumplings and the duck and crab dumplings. I asked the server whether she advised 2 or 3 dishes and she didn't try to upsell me, telling me to start with 2 and see how I felt, which I really appreciated, and those 2 were more than enough. Those 2 plus a glass of wine came to $50 though... so I do agree this is on the pricey side. Extremely tasty though!

We had an incredible dining experience here: the food includes some of the best Chinese dishes I’ve had in the US. The dishes were creative, tasty and left me wanting more even though I was so full. The service was top notch, and the room was intimate and comfortable. I can’t wait to come back.

Our friends recommended this restaurant to us and we were not disappointed. It is on a first come first served basis and there was an 90 minute wait for us. There are individual tables but had large communal tables. We walked around the neighbourhood for a bit as they offered to text us when our table is ready. We got back early and had a drink at the very crowded bar at the back of the restaurant. The cocktails we had were very nice and refreshing. We were seated at a communal table and made some new friends. If you order more than 2 dishes you will infringe on the table space of your neighbours then its a free for all. The food was very nicely presented and tasted great. As everything tasted so good we somehow packed away 2 appetizers. 3 mains and rice and a shared key lime pie (funny for an Asian restaurant). The restaurant is more on the expensive side but worth it.

Dinner for 4. Without reservation we had to wait 15 min . For a table. Place is very tight, our waiter wasn’t nice. Food is delicious. Price is ok. Our table was very dirty.

Great interpretations of Chinese classics. It's kind of expensive for what you get, but I will admit, it is yummy. I sampled 3-4 different types of dumplings and they were all good. Small portions, but bring your wallet and share with friends.

The food was lovely, they seated us although they were busy. We were rushed thru a bit and they have restrictions on what you can eat and order when. Just a bit random. When I paid the bill and I was there for just over an hour and the bill was the best part of 386. I understand they want the table, but come on… it cost you 10/15 dollars to make this food. Ok so we had a beer and 2 wines. So the mark up is huge. Great food, but production line to get us out. The bill was also delivered before we had even asked for it!

The Mr. & I stayed at the Hotel Beacon recently. We chose Red Farm for for our final lunch in NYC. I wish we had discovered it sooner. We ordered the crispy oxtail dumplings with black garlic aioli, the BBQ’d beef fried rice, and the thin rice noodles with vegetables. We enjoyed it all but it’s the crispy oxtail dumplings I can’t stop thinking about! On my next trip to NYC, I’m heading straight to Red Farm!

Okay,,, granted the food is beautifully plated,,, but in my opinion outrageously priced. At this kind of price range I’d expect a couture dining room not communal farm tables. They certainly think a lot of themselves. But on one hand the drinks are fab... and at the right price. Signed,,,, A New York born and breed eater

Visited on a hotel recommendation without any view as to standard. It was welcoming, humming and relaxing. The staff explained the sharing options and the menu and tasters of wines ensured we had a drink which we each liked. The food was inventive and delicious. A delight

the food and service were excellent! The waitress gave us good recommendations for portions and we loved our dishes. I recommend the duck lettuce wrap with bbq sauce!

We had reservations for a group of eight on a fairly cold day as it is this time of year. We were seated at a table right by the door. Every thirty seconds or so, the door would open with a blast of cold air hitting several of us. In some cases, the door would be held open for more than a few seconds. The food itself was average and nothing special. The prices were rather high for the quality of food. The service was fine.

This restaurant is a neighborhood favorite. Excellent varied menu - we enjoyed the black cod. The service was excellent and efficient We ate at the common table which was quite fun - a reservation is recommended.

Great food and great service, but very loud inside with a lot of elbow to elbow dining. We made a reservation for outside, which was perfect!

Stopped by for a quick meal. Sat at the bar and had the tiger tail cocktail and three spice chicken. It was very good. Staff was friendly.

This was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The food was fresh, well-seasoned and delivered to the table without a long wait. Must try items are the duck, pastrami egg rolls, vegetable fried rice, and Sichuan chicken dumplings. If you're visiting New York, add this to your list of places to visit.

A casual and sophisticated atmosphere with friendly, helpful service. Our family of 4 Adults food-loving adults had no problem finding lots to taste and savour. The food was fabulous!!!

Had preconceptions dinner with my brother and nephew - it was fantastic. Good vibe, with communal table as well as booth seating. Too cool for outdoor seating last night. Long narrow room with a good sized bar in the back staffed with friendly bartenders. Very casual place. Everything is served family style. We started with an assortment of dumplings: crispy crab and duck, shrimp & pork skews, lamb shooters. All were fresh and flavorful- the ingredients and seasonings perfect. For the main we had the crispy chicken stuffed with shrimp which came with two sauces, both great. We also had the bbq beef fried rice and bbq duck noodles. Limited wine menu but reasonable prices. Friendly service - we wee asked to give up our table for a regular, and they reseated us and comped our dessert. I HIGHLY recommend RedFarm. Loved everything about it.

Went for dinner with my daughter and son in law Tried half a dozen dishes. Several types of dumplings, 3 Chile chicken, roasted sea bass and a fried rice All were delicious and ample quantities Staff was helpful in describing the dishes and tricks to eating the soup dumplings Mango flan for dessert. So good Definitely will return for first rate Chinese meal

The bacon and egg fried rice is very tasty. Introduced to me by my niece, it definitely tastes very good. A small roadside Restaurant on Broadway, Midtown. The service is fast and the food very good

This place is a great little find with a fantastic staff and authentic food . The soup dumplings were exceptional Soft shell crab was great and the duck was great as well. Great place on the upper west side

Really good vibe & bubbly in the restaurant / excellent food - one of the nicest mainstream south east Asian style food places I have eaten in. Try the crispy beef and the crab dumplings.

We were going to a show at the Beacon and walking to another restaurant. I had read about Red Farm and the waits. We were short on time and opted for another choice. We walked by and I noticed that it did not look full, and appeared that nobody was waiting. We went in and were seated in 3 minutes. Fast efficient service and good food.

But distinctly underwhelmed by this place. Staff were not very helpful or friendly (other than the man who brought out our dishes). Food was ok, not exceptional, portions were small and expensive for what you got.

If I lived close by, I would be there multiple times each week. The food is addictively delicious and the service is friendly and pleasant.

Food was very good and staff very friendly. Menu pricing was a reminder of the current hot topic - inflation. All jokes aside - prices were out of whack with the dishes. Hey - with good reviews you get to charge but unfortunately we won’t be heading back from a value perspective but we will try out some other options etc. to see if our view of pricing to experience is accurate.

Red farm is as close as you can possible get to Chinese comfort food, a very casual atmosphere and warm service compliments the great food we enjoyed. This is like no other Chinese restaurant I have tried, not a hint of pagodas or other Chinese decor, but don't let this fool you, the food is great and prices are very reasonable. The take of traditional Chinese cuisine is worth a 10! Definitely worth while!

While the food was "pretty good" by all accounts, our group of five was less than pleased with unprofessional and haphazard waiter service or by the fact that our various orders all seemed to arrive from the kitchen at different times and the waiters were clueless and couldn't remember who had ordered what. We also found the prices to be outrageous for the typical Asian fare that was being offered, and portions that were quite small. It was not a good value and not a particularly good experience, and we don't recommend this restaurant. We will not return, There are SO MANY other options in this neighborhood.

Came here as a very highly recommended restaurant by family members who live in, or have visited NY. We travelled quite a long way from our hotel to go to Red Farm and it was really worth it - the place was very busy and had a great atmosphere, As we were 15 minutes early we sat at the bar for a drink first which was lovely. We ate soft shelled crabs, salmon in black bean sauce, egg and bacon rice and wide noodles. For dessert we had chocolate cake and key lime pie with an outstanding lime sorbet. All the food was lovely and with drinks ($10 for a can of beer) the total bill was $218.86 which included a 20% tip. So, why only 4 stars and not 5? The service was just a bit too fast for my liking and made me feel as though they wanted to get us in and out - but remember, that may just be the New York way!! This was obviously a very popular restaurant - I would definitely go again but would like to spend a little more time there I should say that all the staff were very nice, just quick!

Our server really tried to up sell us on amounts of food we wanted by saying everyone needed to get something from the top (appetizer or dumplings) and something from the bottom (main or rice & noodles). When we said we would start with a few items and see how we felt, our waiter seemed to have a condescending attitude. There was 5 of us, we ordered 5 items total to share and we were all full. On top of that he very unprofessionally reached across me every time he came to the table to clear the table or bring food. It was just weird and rude. We wouldn’t go here again.

The modern farmhouse decor betrays the upscale Asian fare that’s offered at this Upper West Side restaurant, but in some quirky way, it all works. The food is excellent, albeit pricey (which is expected in NYC), and was served with amazing speed. Tables were a bit small, but again, expected given the location. The staff are very nice and extremely efficient, if not a little difficult to tell who worked there and who didn’t as they didn’t wear anything that showed distinction to the restaurant. An eclectic mix of parents with children, young hipsters and middle age couples were all there, this restaurant has something to draw all types. I’d highly recommend going.

Wow - We were one of the first to be seated, and noticed the restaurant quickly filled @ 5pm on Sunday - Sept. 23. Our waiter was so helpful and made some great recommendations. We loved what we ordered. Dumplings are Fab ! Creative dishes with fresh ingredients and no MSG. We will be back.

Great reinterpretations of Chinese dumplings, along with super mains as well. Great and lively staff - with lively and well-done spicing.

welcoming and cheerful venue, attentive waitstaff and most important - delicious and innovative Chinese food.

We ate there twice in a three night visit. Food was amazing and so impressed that they control for allergies. I don't know what to tell you to eat because everything was great -- can't go wrong with the dumplings. Hot and sour soup -- I have to get their recipe. We went early both nights to avoid the wait and on Saturday at 4:45 we easily got a table but by 5:15, they were full. They do takeout too.

Well, we have found a restaurant in the city that doesn't sleep that DOES - sleep that is! We stayed nearby in NYC's Upper West Side and after a fantastic off-Broadway theatre experience decided to try the Red Farm, around the corner from our hotel. We arrived at 9:35pm and were happy to order our meal quickly (as per instructions from the waiters) as the menu looked amazing. What we didn't bargain for were the waiters hovering, telling us the bar was closed, cleaning up the table before I had finished my wine (already paid for as we were 'encouraged' to settle the bill so the staff could leave). So, we left a 20% gratuity for exactly what? Rude service, being made to feel as if we were a nuisance and generally not wanted in the restaurant. Such a pity and a dampner on what would have been a lovely evening otherwise.

Looked for someplace close to the Beacon for dinner before a show... tried Red Farm based on reviews... excellent choice! All the food was amazing... Pastrami egg roll, shrimp snow pea and crispy veg dumplings, veg fried rice, pork belly and key lime pie... All amazing! Only the service was better than the food! Grace and Matthew were great, supportive, friendly and pleasant as we worked our way through the menu. Thank you. We'll be back.

Before covid, Decoy was known as one of the best places to get Peking duck. During covid, the restaurant was merged but while before this duck was a specialty, it's now an afterthought and the dish is sadly no longer great. The biggest drop is simply in the quality. The duck used to be plump, flavorful and fresh. Now it's clearly been sitting around for a few days. It's dry, with torn up bits of duck instead of whole cuts of breast meat. It's really sad to see what's become of a once great duck institution and we won't be back.

Crazy good! Put your experience in the hands of the superior knowledgeable staff. They created an experience to remember. Great food, great staff, great experience. Not sure I could pick a favorite.

Red Farm Broadway is our local favorite. Perfect place to take “tourists” for a taste of New York like my brother and (vegetarian) nephew visiting from Boston: Pastrami Egg Rolls for my brother, everything else easily vegetarian. We loved the three color dumpling; tofu with mushrooms and mixed vegetables; string beans with Brussel sprouts in black bean sauce (perfect!); vegetable fried rice. Also a good choice with our gluten-free & dairy-free daughters: but be aware that their mushrooms are sauteed in butter. The garlic chicken is a great, ”safe” choice but the salmon is not. Great lemonade and mixed drinks! Perfect for groups. Fun place!

Great Chinese restaurant, crazy xiao long bao, super Pekingese duck, delicious crispy lacquered beef. Very nice environment, friendly staff. When I come back to NYC I will definitely go, I sent many friends and everyone was excited. Eating high-quality Chinese is not so obvious.

I was st Red Farm today for lunch. I ordered a rib dish and was told it would take a while as the ribs needed to be seasoned. Fine. Forty five minutes later the ribs hadn’t arrived and my server gave me some malarkey about waiting until the other items had been served. Of course all the other items had come out 30 minutes ago. I think he simply forgot to place the order. Keep on top of the ding dong staff!

I was eager to try and am glad I did. Get there early and order appetizers one or two mains. It's not cheap but it's tasty, and fast. They move you through quickly.

Visited this place in Upper West Side, since we were staying at a hotel quite near. It was a Saturday and we had no reservation, so for a party of 4 we had to wait for about 20 minutes for a table, but the process was very organized. Service was very quick and friendly, forwarding dish descriptions and recommendations. The atmosphere was very nice, families, couples, bigger groups, everyone having a good time. Food was very good, starting off with dumplings, and then a couple of main courses, amongst which the pork chops were excellent. Out of the dessert list, the Ginger Pannacotta was unusual and delicious! On

Went to this restaurant twice during our 6 days in NYC. Loved this place; staff were lovely and the food was amazing.

We ended up at the bar in the corner, because it was so crowded. It was the most fun. A packed bar. A community atmosphere. The bartender - Dale - treated us all like we were in his living room. Funny as hell. We took every suggestion from him and ended up eating the Best Sea Bass ever. (He said he was "the new guy." Not sure that's true. LOL) Every bit of food was insane. Everyone there is so very nice. We'll go again.

We were put on the wait list early in the day and told we would most likely be seated at 8:30pm and to call at 8:15 to see how it looked. They told us it was going to be closer to 9pm. So we arrived at 9pm only to be told 15 more minutes. So we waited in the bar. Well, 15 minutes turned into 40 minutes. Poor management. Food was good. NOT GREAT. Bone in strip is excellent, soup dumplings are delish, crispy chicken great. Spare ribs eh, shrimp and scallop rice mushy and noodles with veg boring. Fun place for sharing food though and we had a good time.
Excellent Chinese restaurant on the UWS … better than Chinatown
Wonderful, tasty Chinese restaurant with a modern twist on the UWS : Broadway near West 77 St. I highly recommend the BarBQ duck with a lettuce wrap as well as the tender marinated Grilled Salmon . A bit pricey but generous portions to share .
