Cool and nice place. Very good food. It's a mess. The best seats are on the balcony overlooking the city, but only with prior reservation.

What a gem! View is awesome. Empire State Building is in the background. Service is phenomenal, friendly staff. Drinks and food, fantastic

If you are visiting New York and you wanna fantastic place to have a drink at dust then you cannot go past the refinery rooftop bar. If you want to have a meal then I’ll be best to book in advance because it gets very busy, if you want to go for a drink have an awesome view of the Empire State building this place is fantastic. However the beers are the same price as any bar but the wine prices are quite expensive. But it’s a treat and you are on holidays!

The place is charming and relaxed! It brings together many locals and some tourists! We don't need a reservation to enjoy a few drinks and enjoy the sunset near the Empire States, but in a very New York climate!!! We loved the experience!!!! The prices are not absurd but for us Brazilians the conversion can be scary!!!! But it was worth every $.

Wanted to go to a rooftop bar. Found this place. They do take reservations which I highly recommend. I had this pear drink that was very good. The Cesar salad was ok. They had sandwiches and flat breads that looked good. They have a great view of the Empire State Building.

I think it was the bad day.... bad reception, poor dishes, and an unfriendly and hostile service... not a place To be !! If you want a good rooftop, go To the Press lounge !!!

We arrived here after pre booking for my wife’s birthday,we were on a three day holiday from England.we entered the refinery hotel and took the lift to the 13 floor, The views are magnificent with the Empire State Building in the background.service first class food excellent various choices,it was a freezing day but nice and warm in building plus it’s covered with see through sheets which are removed when summer comes.we were a party of five and each of us received free complimentary glass of wine excellent.well recommended could not fault

Great experience at Refinery rooftop! Excellent food and service. Thankful to be seated upon our arrival, which was earlier than our scheduled reservation time. Awesome view from the terrace!

Great food spot in downtown NYC. We went on a Friday night which had a live DJ and was very busy. It had a nice vibe and the food was really good. As were the cocktails! February so the patio was covered but you still have a good view of the empire state building. I'd imagine it'll be an amazing place to have a drink in the summer so we'll have to come back to try that!

Visited here with friends on a Saturday evening for drinks and food. Was a perfect setting for a few snacks and drinks. The food is good, and small plates so can share. Plus the cocktail are amazing! Great view of Empire State and a nice seating area. Exposure brick and lots of lights and plants, creates a lovely ambiance :)

Chicken wrap was delicious but came with crisps which was disappointing. For the price of the wrap you would expect fries. The view is pretty good, with visibility of the Empire State. Shame it was raining when we visited but quite welcomed after 4 days of 32 degrees! However it was absolutely freezing in there and they couldn’t control it due to the building having overall control of the AC. We spent 5 days eating in some of the best restaurants NYC had to offer, and I have to say service has been amazing everywhere we went, however the attitude from the host of this bar was ridiculous. Didn’t maintain eye contact when speaking to you - anyone would think he owned the place. I witnessed it with other guests but to be honest I couldn’t be bothered to say anything as we were due to leave shortly after. We were freezing and wanted to move but made us feel like we owed him big time. Sixth visit to NYC and won’t be my last, however I won’t go back here.

Fantastic location with amazing view of the Empire State Building but that’s about it. Barman was rude and wouldn’t know polite customer service if he fell over it. Very limited menu, wrong food delivered and waiter just looked at it before finally taking it away. When the right item was delivered it was cold….obviously been sat there wondering why not picked up. Main course arrived while half way through starter. Over hyped and under delivers

We celebrated my birthday while in New York and we were recommended The Refinery Rooftop Bar as a must visit while in New York - and it didn’t disappoint. We received a warm welcome on arrival and waited at the bar and grabbed a drink until our reserved area became available. Unfortunately, it was 20mins before our area became available. As as apology for the delay, our first round of drinks was on the house. It was a great start to a fantastic night, with amazing views of the Empire State Building. The evening was greeted with amazing (& plentiful) food; great cocktails; the best in Funk, Soul & RnB tunes. And to top off the evening, we were able to stay an extra hour (normally two) when we called it a night. Thank you to all the staff at The Refinery for making my birthday a night to remember.

We were there for the Christmas season and it was ice that it was closed in...however, it was closed for most of our stay for private parties...we would not have stayed at this hotel if we had known that both bars were closed for parties during our stay.

Overrated bar with arrogant personnel. Although the spot is beautiful, the drinks are very average. Here is how a 20$ cocktail looks like.

Great find among the hustle and bustle of the city! Looking for a fun spot to have happy hour or a night cap? Look no further!

My husband and I took my older teens here and we all really enjoyed it. Had wonderful NYC atmosphere and food was very good. Had a bit of a bar atmosphere so I wouldn’t go with younger teens. Would also be great for a date night. They were very welcoming. We all would go back.

Really nice rooftop with great views of Empire State Building. I came here for the rooftop and the fact the kids can come, which is not always the case. I had my 13 and 9 year old with me for lunch. The food was great! I am vegetarian and there were so many options. Mac n cheese was delicious and so were veggie sliders and pretzel bites. Only bad thing was the service, which was really slow. Still I would definitely come back!

This is a popular happy hour location. I see why. The outdoor portion is open, well decorated, has good seating, and views. It is open into the indoor part with a large square bar and tables throughout. There is a warm fireplace with seating nearby also. The vibe is inviting for all. We tried many items and all were fantastic in presentation, taste, all of it!

We enjoyed a late dinner here with a group of couples after a show. It was perfect weather and we had a nice big table (make reservations!). Fun patio lighting and delicious food. We were outside in the open air area- there was an indoor bar area, and areas to eat indoors also, which was loud and the music was fun. But we were glad to be outside. Great place!

We went to kill time before the theater, a great rooftop venue. The views of the Empire State Building are great. The atmosphere is awesome, staff was good, would love to be here in the fall. The margaritas for $95 for 6 was the best deal. Will be back!

the place is beautiful and pleasant, but it's a shame I can't say the same about the super rude staff. I was mistreated by two staff, super unpolites. left me talking to myself. Total disregard for tourists. obs: me and my fiance were well dressed, imagine if we were more comfortable?! disappointing!

This place was really cool. Great atmosphere and great design. The staff was inviting and service was good. We really enjoyed the relaxed vibe but still at a nice level of food and service expectation. We would definitely go back here. Great, chill, spot.

The Refinery Rooftop is a trendy and hip rooftop for the beautiful people of Manhattan. I lowered their hip quotient exponentially as soon as I departed the elevators. The eye candy provided a better view than the Empire State Building. The bartenders were pleasant enough until they threatened to take our chairs at 3:30 PM. Okay, we’ll skedaddle at 3:30 allowing the Refinery to cater to their gorgeous demographic. If this is your thing, you’ll love the Refinery Rooftop. I’ll be at Winnie’s on the lobby level.

We were staying in the Refinery Hotel, so could not miss a trip to the rooftop. We chose a time when it was less busy, as it is very popular. All was fine, except it is so dark, you can't really see what you are eating!

My partner and I were staying at the Refinery Hotel and we jumped on the elevator for the rooftop. The drinks were great and one appetizer hit home, the Cacio E Pepe tater tots, outstanding

Loved hitting this trendy rooftop bar and restaurant. We had eaten so it was just drinks and a little dessert. Both were great. Great people watching and of course tghe views. Fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Very cool. Great views of Empire State and rooftop water tanks... Great barman and cocktails. Good vibe.

Really nice rooftop setup with excellent views of the Empire State Building. The food is pretty casual (starters, salads, flatbreads, and burgers), but it's quality. The spinach dip with naan and the mac and cheese were our favorites. It's a nice place to come for drinks and a conversation. Make sure to make a reservation so you don't end up without a table, but be aware that they have a time limit on the amount of time that you can spend there since they can't be at full capacity due to covid.

Amazing rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the Empire State building through the glass roof. The lunch menu is simple but with plenty of choice and the food we had was really good.

Visited here for a couple of cocktail, a much cooler rooftop experience than I’ve been to before in nyc! Thoroughly recommend it

Terrible experience- came on a Sunday nigh so we could come with our son as he is under 21 - food was like slop - really downmarket place and we were hurried out of the door as they were getting ready to ‘winterise’ the floor. Total waste of time & money. Really disappointing. Should have been a warning when they physically hold your credit card in case you do a runner-perhaps this is an indication of the clientele they attract.

So good for lunch we came back for dinner! We checked into the Refinery Hotel and headed up to the Rooftop for a cold beer and a snack. Stephanie was our server and she was fantastic - so welcoming and friendly - incredible service. Sat outdoors on a beautiful fall afternoon - what a view! The fennel sausage flatbread was delicious as was the spinach dip. For dinner, the fig bruschetta was so good. We sat “inside” for dinner under the open roof. You can’t miss this place.

forced to stay in the internal room due to a private event on the terrace not declared by the manager. very bad. Definitely not recommended

I stopped by refinery rooftop after walking 7 miles in the city. It was a hot and sunny day and everyone at Refinery did an amazing job to take care of me. The food (Mac n cheese and flatbread), drinks and service was phenomenal. Special shout-out goes to Amanda from the rooftop. She was one of the beet bartenders and service team members I have met in a long time.

Met some friends here for drinks on a Saturday night , had to wait downstairs for a bit but not to long, was very busy but still able to get somewhere to sit lovely bar area with great atmosphere, they have an outside terrace which would be great in the summer , lovely view of the Empire state building, good selection of drinks priced accordingly for the venue , definitely worth a visit

Stopping at the refinery for 6 nights, not cheap, was having a very nice time until told to move from our table at the roof top bar at 4pm on our 3rd afternoon, residents obviously count for.....not a lot, now finishing our drinks inside despite a table occupied by 2 people on lap tops drinking water not being asked to move.??

Went here for lunch while in New York and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! Everything was perfect. I had the tacos which was so yummy and the cocktails so refreshing . We were VERY LUCKY to be served by Charlie , probably the most natural and friendly waiter we’ve ever been looked after by . The view was amazing , Empire State Building just behind us , and the feel and the vibe of the bar was cool without being too cool , glass ceiling , exposed brick . The Refinery is definately going to be our go to next time we are in New York . You MUST GO!!

We visit NYC every year and always go to the Refinery Rooftop however this will be our last time. The quality of the drinks has declined drastically. A few years ago I would have rated it one of the best cocktail bars in the city and now the drinks are below average. We went on a Friday night and the DJ was dreadful. We left mid drink cause the drink and the music were unbearable.

Enjoyed our experience here. Cocktails were nice, $17 so about what you’d expect from somewhere like this. Cool vibe inside and very busy. View of Empire State Building. Bought out a dessert with a sparkler in for one member of our groups birthday which was a nice touch. Our server Jill was attentive but not intrusive. Only negative was a large industrial heater than was blowing directly on to the seats of two of our party making it very very hot and uncomfortable.

Was killing time in Midtown until my guys train back to Boston left- knew this bar so popped in around 330PM. Spoke to the lovely hostess, Lena, and ask if we could nab a table (all had reserved signs) for a quick drink. She had on reserved for 4PM and let us sit there. Had a quick Aperol Spritz, enjoyed the view, and on our way! Great hidden treasure

Fun environment, fantastic view of empire state building and the NYC skyline in general. Courteous staff, delicious tapas and decent drinks. The vibe was great and we enjoyed it a lot. The crowd was mixed, from business to bachelorette parties, and casual gatherings.

We were so glad we found this stylish rooftop in the heart of Midtown NYC! Probably a good idea to make a reservation. Food was OK but we did not mind as we were so grateful for a relaxed atmosphere and a breath-taking views of the Manhattan skyline I would highly recommend it!

Third visit and location, ambiance and drinks are always good but not a dinner restaurant, amateur staff and all our food was very disappointing. Dish didn’t even match description in menu - served seared tuna with steak sauce !

We came for a business dinner due to good reviews and the view of the Empire State Building. The night started well and staff were very attentive but soon went really downhill. Water was not topped up, no cutlery arrived, we weren’t asked if we wanted anymore drinks and no one asked how our meal was. The bill was paid but we were wanting to stay for a couple more drinks and enjoy the view when our server turned up with another staff member demanding a tipfrom us. Shoving the bill in our face and not leaving till a tip was received. We were going to leave a tip when we left but instead felt very awkward and left quickly and a sour taste in our mouth. Starters were good but main courses could have been a lot nicer. Plenty of other nicer places to eat in New York City

Thanks, Paul and Lanell, for the warm welcome yesterday. The rooftop bar was very chilled and relaxing. I definitely will be returning when I'm back in the city.

This is a nice rooftop bar in a busy part of the city. If you’re in midtown it’s worth a visit. Good selection of drinks and good service at the bar. If you’re looking to stay there for more than one drink I’d recommend booking a table in advance. You won’t get a table by walk-in on any night. If you’re staying at the Refinery Hotel, it can be a bit annoying as they seem to allow the bar to be booked out for private events at any time (they do this for the lobby bar too). I feel like there should be some allowance for hotel guests to get a table at any point - i.e. save tables for hotel walk-ins only. But overall, a good bar and recommended. You can also see the tip of the Empire State Building out of the glass roof!

Beautiful view and fun atmosphere! We only stayed for drinks but they were delicious. They were definitely higher priced but that’s to be expected in the city. We stayed for a little over an hour and enjoyed the views and service!

It is better to reserve if you want to avoid being turned down at the entrance. Nice casual unassuming decoration. Quick and efficient service. Short food menu but every item is very tasty. Tribute goes to the chef cook. Comparable pricing to other trendy rooftops. Worth the visit.

Booked from recommendation online. Great Communication from Refinery Team. Visiting from UK (18 - 60+++). JFK at 1pm - Cocktails/light bites between 4-6pm. Lovely welcome on arrival and immediately seated despite staff having to move people from our reserved table. Fabulous ambience, waiting staff, cocktails and food. And all looking out onto Empire State Building. Would definitely visit again if here.

We stayed at the Refinery hotel and thought the roof top bar was part of the hotel but it’s completely separate. The first night there was a private party so couldn’t go up. The second night we tried, the young lady on the front desk was not interested in greeting us, in fact we stood for some time before she could be bothered to lift her head. We asked if we could have drinks and were told only if we stood at the bar, tables are for food only. OK can we will have food then, oh well these tables are for our 4:30 reservations, oh so if I book will I be able to get a table on the terrace, oh no there is no guarantee, hmmm but the 4:30 reservations were clearly guaranteed as we were not allowed to have one. What a joke, we walked out and didn’t bother to return. Thank you for your hospitality 🙄.

We were visiting New York for the first time on 1st Dec until 6th Dec, i pre-booked this rooftop before we left England as it was just around the corner from where we were staying and so glad we did. We entered the hotel and got in the lift to the rooftop restaurant, stepped out of the lift and we were amazed there was a fire going and you could see the Empire State building, we were seated to our table and ordered food. The food was presented beautifully and was delicious. The service was second to none, and it really was a very special lunch. The waiter was friendly and attentive and we would thoroughly recommend this place and if we are lucky enough to go to New York again we would not hesitate to return. Well done. Loved it.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks at the Refinery rooftop bar. Great view of the Empire State Building, and a bit of the skyline. On a good day it's perfect spot for a drink or even lunch or dinner. We went twice, once in the evening and once for lunch. Food was excellent. Best thing is to book as it gets crazy busy, and state if you want a table in or outside. Also they have a dress code. We saw people with caps on being asked to remove them before going up in the lift, mostly an evening issue though. They get a lot of business people up there just after 4pm and you'll see it fill up with suits at that time. Bit pricey but most things are in NYC. Recommend a visit, which is free, just for the view of ESB.

We went to NYC to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. I had planned our dinner, but wanted somewhere we could hang out and celebrate after dinner that wasn't just a loud, crowded bar. We were able to reserve a table, order drinks and dessert (including mocktails for her; it's hard to find somewhere that seems celebratory that isn't completely centered around drinks!), and enjoy the gorgeous views and lights from the roof. The service was attentive and friendly and the music and vibes were great. The perfect end to our night!

We were staying at the Refinery Hotel for four nights in September and one of the reasons for choosing the hotel was the rooftop bar. We arrived around 10 pm, weary from the day's travelling and were told at check-in that the bar was about to take last orders soon but if we wanted to pop up they could let the bar know. I am so glad we did! The bar was pretty empty by that time and we got a table on the terrace to enjoy a drink whilst getting our first glimpse of the Empire State Building and surroundings. It was magical! The bar and terrace are cosy with lovely, soft lighting and a really special atmosphere. I found the crowd varied in a nice way, felt very comfortable there (unlike some of the "trendy" rooftop bars around the world) and the music was varied too with some old school tunes thrown in. Sure, it can get noisy but it definitely wasn't the noisiest bar we went to :) Service was friendly from front desk to the table. We only ate there one of the evenings and must say that I wouldn't go back for the food. I ordered the ahi tuna and it was overcooked and served in a very random creamy sauce with undercooked carrots. It was very weird. Chicken Caesar salad was good. Prices are pretty much NY prices but not the most expensive we encountered. All in all, I really enjoyed my experience at Refinery Rooftop and will definitely go again when I return to NY. Make sure to book a table, otherwise you can expect standing room at the bar only, at least at weekends.

This hopping night spot is atop the magnificent Refinery Hotel, NYC. Long before happy hour actually starts, the eager throng amasses in the hotel lobby, waiting to be escorted to the special secured elevator that brings one to the top— quality control ensured. The large space is sectioned off into Cozy spaces, some with chairs and tables, others with couches and pillows and a couple of fireplaces thrown in for good measure. There is a section furthest from the elevator that is walled-in glass allowing for spectacular views, and a small open area which is available once weather is more clement. We chose a comfortable sofa/ table combo. Although the place was packed, the wait staff was able to maintain composure, remaining pleasant and ever available. We started with drinks and small plates to share. The delicious soft pretzel pieces were soft and lightly salted, with a tangy cheese sauce and mustard for dipping. The tuna sectioned over avocado/mixed greens was perfectly rare, lightly edged with sesame seeds that did not distract from the rich flavor. Lastly the meatballs in marinara sauce were mouth-sized and tender, mozzarella draped lovingly over for an extra flare. The food was reasonably priced and all delicious and fresh. Lots of drink to choose from, all went down well. Fun place, go early to get in and be seated!

While we had booked on the Inn's own website and showed up 10 minutes in advance in accordance with the recommendations which specify that you have the right to stay 1h45 and that any delay will be deducted from your time, we were told that our Reservation was cancelled without alternative! Upon Reservation, we gave permission to the property to contact us by email regarding any changes to our Reservation....

Popped in for daytime drinks. Staff were good and the drinks were cold. If was hot so the parasols were up. We did manage to get a few pics with the empire state view. Would go back.

Arrived before lunch as we were without a reservation as the website would not allow small party bookings. Front of house was not welcoming at all, she offered a table inside and I understood and asked if we could be moved outside if a table became available after we sat down. Once we were sat, the food that came was delicious, but be aware that the appetiser houmous is definitely a sharing portion. The grilled corn flat bread pizza was beautiful.

Holiday late night cocktails - 4 of us rolled in around 8pm and were fortunate to get the sofa and table right next to the beautiful tree and fireplace - excellent service again - the fennel sausage flatbread was delish - fantastic atmosphere

We ended up going here one night when the weather was awful, so the rooftop wasn't off which was a shame, but we still had a great night regardless. Cocktails are lovely and food choice is great. Portions are massive! Great buzzy vibe throughout the evening, but make sure you book as it gets very busy!

We came from Toronto to NYC for my bachelorette. We were looking for a classy place where a group of 30-something women could dress up, have a drink and listen to fun music. We made a reservation and the experience from start to finish was amazing. Seamless experience as we were seated at our table, kicked off the night bringing us a drink, service was fantastic. Music was old school and classic throwbacks. I don't know what the bad reviews are talking about - we have been to a lot of places in NYC and this was a great spot - we will be back! Beautiful views and professional service. Thanks for a great night!

Great views from the rooftop bar, excellent service. The bar is very small and also had 2 large sections closed off for private functions which made it super crowded. Only had 1 drink and had to move on as there was literally nowhere to sit or stand.

What makes a great dining experience? It is easy to identify the great ambience and to savor the delicious cocktails and food menu items offered at the Refinery Rooftop Restaurant. However, most look past the effort, planning and leadership skills of the management team and staff. Kudos to Tina on the excellent job she is doing and her attention to detail and for always finding that blend of complementing great customer service with customer respect and appreciation - the hidden gems to a great dining experience.

I came here for the view - and expected overpriced food. That's what we've got! It was well worth it because there was fireworks outside that same night for July 4th. On the downside, service was pretentious and overall sucked. Bad attitude from the waiter - couldn't be bothered for anything. He forgot the birthday cake, ustensiles and never offered us second drinks. All in all, if you come for the view, I highly recommend the place. Just try to ignore the service.

Absolutely the worst place! Do not waste your time here! This place sucks! Go somewhere else! They are racist and they sexist! The bouncers offered me drugs!

Absolutely loved this cool roof top bar with a fantastic view of the empire state building. The service was slow initially though and we were stood waiting to be seated for far too long! And another group pushed in front without the waiter saying anything. This poor customer service at the start is the only reason it's not 5 stats. Great food and drink. The chicken wings were yummy!

The views, atmosphere, food and drinks were awesome. The food was simple but well executed. The drinks didn’t fall short. Lucy was our server and she was great. 10 out of 10 for us. And they surprised me with a birthday cake surprise.

Amazing view, expensive drinks but worth it for the scenery and service. I would highly recommend this bar.

Not only is the view up here amazing, there are many bars with stunning views... what I loved best about this venue is how intimate and cosy it was. It created such a warm and fun atmosphere sitting outside, as the sun was setting and reflecting off the buildings around us. They serve the most amazing frose dinks there too!

We got here about 8 PM and were lucky to find two chairs at the bar. Our server, Bryan, quickly took our drink orders and we enjoyed relaxing and people watching. We didn't order food, but all the dishes we saw looked great.

I went to the refinery for my bestfriends birthday. It was a busy night and we were still accommodated on a Saturday night. Staff was super friendly and sweet. Our server was Liz. Liz was kind and efficient. She recommended an amazing drink after I was told my preferred drink was unavailable. I unfortunately forgot the name of the drink but it was soo good! I would definitely come back here!

This was our first visit to the Refinery Rooftop. It was AMAZING! I chose this hotel because of its location to the Macy’s parade (6th Ave) and the fact that it has queen beds. Queen beds are not easy to find in NYC! The service was fantastic. The rooms were large. The rooftop bar was dreamy. The location is fantastic. I can’t say enough! We will be back!

Attended a private event at the Rooftop which was the perfect venue to enjoy amazing views, great cocktails and yummy food on a beautiful Fall evening.

Great location. Very nice looking hotel on arrival. Easy to find rooftop bar. Don’t go here for the ‘rooftop views’, go for a nice drink. Very cool place with good staff

Visited with friends and family, beautiful location, has a glass roof that opens in fine weather, balcony is a good space and lovely view Olof the EmpireState. You can reserve a table but not sure if this is hotel guest only. Can be noisy if you want to chat as but there is another bar downstairs than is small cozy and plays softer music Send to be very popular so either get in early or be prepared to stand in line

We decided to find an outdoor, rooftop restaurant to enjoy the nice weather. We didn’t have a reservation & had about a 45 minute wait, but it was well worth it. We just did drinks & appetizers. While pricey, the drinks (beer & cocktails) weren’t “expensive” for NYC. The menu isn’t expansive, but we ordered a variety of appetizers & everything was delicious! We saw salads & main courses go by to other tables & they looked just as good as our appetizers. I’d eat here again if we’re back in the city, I’d just be sure to make a reservation first.

Decided to check them out on a Wednesday evening. Unfortunately I didn't make a reservation (lesson learned) and the place was super crowded and cramped. The staff isn't friendly (particularly the security)

Fabulous views of the Empire State Building! Nice place, too. Check it out! You’ll be glad you did. Safe area.

Went here with my husband as we were visiting the city and our hotel was just down the street. Staff were attentive and friendly. The spinach dip was delicious, beef sliders were yummy. If you can be seated in the tented area outside, you can’t beat the view of the Empire State Building! Reserve ahead!!

We reserved a patio table, but they had stopped food service on it due to the smoke. Instead we were seated at a cramped table beside a large party, which was not comfortable. We eventually had the $25 reservation fee refunded. After dinner, we wandered out to the rooftop patio for some drinks and were treated to a fantastic view.

Price, service and location you don't expect. Excellent cocktails, courteous staff, rather fast service. The view of the Empire State Building is breathtaking. Dinner was also of a good standard, all at a very reasonable price considering the location. Well done.

Thanks to our hotel, we had a booking here and were treated like VIPs from the start. Our corner table came with killer views of the Empire State Building and the skyline – exactly what you want from a New York rooftop. I couldn’t resist ordering a “proper pint” of Guinness (yes, even in Manhattan) and I wasn’t disappointed – it was spot on. The food hit the mark as well: tasty, hearty, and generous portions that kept us lingering longer than planned. What really set the experience apart, though, was the staff. Attentive without being overbearing, they looked after us brilliantly and even took the time to walk us through the ins and outs of US payment procedures and tipping etiquette – which, as first-timers in the States, we genuinely appreciated. A slick rooftop with style, substance, and staff who make you feel entirely at home. We left smiling, full, and already plotting a return.

Excellent atmosphere. Good food. Great drinks. Huzzah to Kenny the bartender - he was exceptional! As well as Kenny on the wait staff. Had drinks there during the day. Dinner at night. Views of the empire state building beautiful. Definitely make reservations. It’s very busy at night.

We booked a dinner event from Germany for our 25th wedding anniversary. We checked on the website that for dinner events no age minimum requirements exist. Arriving at the location the first thing we were asked is how old we are eventhough I am 60 years old and not as to whether we have a dinner reservation. We told our story of booking at their website and still were refused by a very aggressive doorman. He was quickly shouting at us. We were insisting on our reservation then he called his manager. The manager James was neither really listening to our story nor trying to find a solution. After all we spent the whole day in NYC in suits and dress to be finally arrogantly and aggressively refused to have a pre-booked dinner on our 25th wedding anniversary. Those people do not care at all about customers and ruined our whole wedding day. Great job guys continue to do so and hopefully your arrogance turns into desperation when people with similar experience we made just start ignore the place.

My wife and I were due to meet up with a business associate and her husband to celebrate securing a funding tranche for a new product launch. No sooner had my wife and I entered the Refinery Rooftop Hotel that we were faced with two muscle-bound bouncers tripping on testosterone (and possibly more). One proceeded to "dis" me with pathetic alpha-male insults, while the other closed in and got handsy with my wife. With no way of reaching a human at the restaurant reception or the parent company offices, we called our friends down and moved to another rooftop establishment. My partner's F500 firm will be blacklisting all the company's venues, but the trauma my wife went through will not soon be forgotten. We're blown away that Refinery Rooftop would place its reputation and future revenue into the hands of out-of-control grunts getting off on abusing guests.

Great drinks and food, they offered an allergy menu (gf eater), & the views and holiday decor were great.

This is a lively and loud gathering place on the 14th floor of the Refinery Hotel on 38th Street. $16 for a glass of wine, but if you have to ask .... NYC. Great view of Empire State Building !! Very nice starting place for your night. Enjoyed it !!

Snacks and drinks at The Refinery I was sadly disappointed with our experience at the Refinery. I may not have done enough research prior to booking our reservation, so my fault. Going in I thought this was a dinner restaurant with a bar, on a roof. It’s basically a bar, on a roof, with some food options. We were seated in the roof area, on patio furniture, next to a 15 person stand-up cocktail party, next to a large heat blower. We really did try to soak in the experience and enjoy the evening, which we did. But after our cocktails and a sad excuse for chicken wings we had to eat on our lap, we left to find dinner. I’d go again in the spring/summer when the patio is more exposed and just have a cocktail.

So our firm rented out the Rooftop for a private event and the whole experience was just perfect. We had rented from 6pm to 9pm but because of a canceled flight some guests arrived late. The Refinery and Tina and Lauren and their team were able to extend us and accommodate what turned into a truly memorable evening. The food was great, the views impressive, staff incredibly friendly. We'll be booking again. Best rooftop in NYC!

Been at the place for more than 2 hours and weren’t able to be sitted outside because they were waiting for “so called guests”. Said we could be sitted for 45 minutes but then needed to be moved. It’s been empty for the past 2 hours.

Second time here and still great, good choice of food and sitting in the covered terrace with brilliant view of Empire State Building. I had fried calimari followed by sliders and fries, my wife the same. Good service and good atmosphere.

The Refinery Rooftop has beautiful views of the city with a covered area with a glass ceiling. The protected area is perfect for inclement weather. We were here during a storm and it was a great alternative to a inside bar.

Came by late Wednesday night and had the best time! Great vibes, great views, even better drinks. Staff was friendly but not overbearing. Can’t wait to come back

Overall excellent. The bartenders are awesome, Dan and Collin. The hostess Jo-Ann (I think) was excellent. Drinks are great, the staff is friendly, the indoor/ outdoor bar is awesome. Heat blew in, for cool evenings, fireplace nearby with great seating. Food that I had was horrible and extremely expensive for what I ordered.

Its like dining in a night club! More like bar snacks than diner. Expensive. Very noisy. Impractical seating.

We reserved a table in advance and arrived about 45 minutes before sunset. Loved the service and the vibe. We shared an interesting beet salad and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine with a view of the Empire State Building.

There was a long wait even with a reservation at refinery rooftop. It was very loud me and friend could not even talk. Service was not that great, I’m sure it was because there were just more people then there was staff. The food was just okay, not worth the price or the wait.

We enjoyed dinner and had a fabulous evening here recently. The weather was just perfect, the atmosphere great, staff very friendly and helpful, food great and .... well .... as for the view, it was just amazing! An unexpected lightshow from the Empire State Building (every hour I'm guessing) was a bonus. We planned our booking at dusk so that we would get day and night views - I'd highly recommend doing this if you are planning a visit here. One of our guests was coeliac, it would have been a perfect evening is she could have had a good choice of food too but is seems to be an issue in all restaurants we visited while in US that coeliacs are not well catered for. Thank you to all, will recommend and hope to be back myself!

We visited whilst on a girls trip. The food was fabulous and the service was great. Fantastic views and lovely and clean. Compared to the other rooftop bar we visited this is 100 times better

Good food (lobster mac&cheese), very nice rooftop and terrace and super and friendly service. I highly recommend !

As the title says, we had a lovely evening after a mix up with an online reservation. We had requested a booking over a month before our intended visit and received 2 emails back. One to say the request was being looked at and another to say our name and the amount of people. In the Uk this would have been your confirmation - unfortunately not in NYC. Turns out you then had to reply to the email which wasn't indicated on booking and when we never received anything else presumed we were booked in. The manager we met in the line was wonderful and went up to the bar with us in order to make sure that we were accommodated by the front of house. A table was found for us within 20 minutes (we were lucky I think, it was 7:30 on a Wednesday evening). We waited in the bar first and went out onto the terrace to enjoy our drinks whilst waiting. I would definitely recommend visiting here and trying out the food as well as the drinks - just double check your reservation & try the Frose!

Don’t go, booked for 7pm bar and restaurant last orders before 8pm and pretty much asked to move on before 8:15 are you kidding no advanced warning. Pick somewhere else to go

On 8/24/2019 after two aborted attempts earlier in the week due to rain and an unexpected delay in the hotel due to a private event earlier that day, I finally made it to the Refinery Rooftop at the Refinery Hotel in the early evening. All I can say is - it was worth the wait. This is a beautiful rooftop with an incredible skyline view, sexy crowd, great music, and a killer bartending staff. I enjoyed a refreshing Rooftop Mojito while I watched what was left of the sunset. The best seats outside with of course the best view are by reservation only, so book early - this hotspot fills up quickly.

Bad service from rooftop bartender. Sat at the bar and he didn’t inquire about our order once. We had to hunt him down to order and he was in front of us. Go to a more attentive bar.

We had brunch at the rooftop and it is a very pretty rooftop. One third indoor one third glass indoor and one third outdoor. I like the middle part the best. Brunch is a short menu. The breakfast sandwich looked the best. View of Empire State buildings . Fun with a group. Make reservations

Our second visit today. Kenny was our server and was excellent! Food was great, service fantastic, drinks fab and the view was amazing. We will definitely return!

One of my favourite bars in NYC. I will always without doubt visit this wonderful place. Great atmosphere and a view to marvel at.

Reserved a table in line very quick and easy. Received text on day of booking asking me to confirm and asking whether we were celebrating. We were in New York for wife's 50th so advised hotel of this. We arrived a little early but this was no problem. We expected to stay for a couple of hours and have food and a few drinks. Good was ok but liked drinks overpriced. No sooner had we finished food we were hurried. At one point the bill was left in the table at no time were we asked if we wanted another drink. Really poor service so we paid up and move on.Wouldn't recommend. I can't understand why they ask if you are celebrating and then make no reference at all would have been nice had they wished the wife happy birthday

Enjoyed afternoon drinks and nibbles here during our recent trip to NYC. The rooftop area was cosy lovely views of the Empire State Building. The service was prompt and friendly. Ideal for an afternoon catch up with friends or date night. Would recommend reserving a table as can get busy quickly.

Such a hidden gem! In the shadow of the Empire State Bldg, a rooftop bar with 4 star rating. The drinks were stellar, especially the 13th floor Margarita. The food was perfection, including the beef sliders. But the Linguine & Mussels was most memorable, perfectly prepared & presented. To put my wife’s birthday over the top, Lucy was a world class server, anticipating our every need. We’re coming back for Thanksgiving brunch!

We were looking for a place with a view to celebrate my birthday. We originally booked Haven Rooftop and realized after arriving that in the fall/winter there is no view (patio enclosed in plastic tent) and the hostess had no interest in acknowledging my birthday. We expressed our disappointment to our server and he actually told us to leave (funny) and recommended we try Refinery Rooftop. We were able to get a table an hour later and actually arrived about 20 mins early. The place had such a great vibe and the hostess immediately seated us and we had the best time. Our kids really liked sitting on the sofas at a lower table setting and our server Ian was great. Most importantly, even though there are plastic barriers to keep the cold out in the winter, there are still patios on either side of the main seating area where you can go out to sit, take a pic or just hang out. We really enjoyed our evening and our kids even asked if we can come back the next time we visit NYC.

While staying at the Refinery Hotel we had drinks at the Rooftop. The drinks and food were amazing and service was outstanding. The best part was the ambience and view of the Empire State Building at night. A bit expensive but worth the money.

We had researched nice roof bars in NYC, and this one was mentioned with mixed reviews. We decided to give it a try, as a walk-in, for lunch. We entered the hotel, took the elevator up to the roof top, and when we arrived they greeted us warmly and found us a table. This was a wonderful setting, great food, and nice cocktails. Not cheap, but par for the course for NYC. Great, friendly service and nice views of the Empire State.

Cozy rooftop in NY. Nice view of the Empire State Building. I had reserved a table (the outside is small and often full) and in the end we arrived and no table available, we had to wait. We had a glass of wine ($17). We didn't stay long and went to St Cloud's, rooftop at Timesquare, for a more exceptional moment: more space and grandiose view

Good quality food with lively atmosphere. Very limited cocktail menu and food menu that was very expensive. Can also be cold so wrap up

We visited the refinery for a three day stay for our first time in New York. We frequented the rooftop daily for lunch, brunch and the night time activities. We enjoyed the entire experience. But to say Declan was amazing is an understatement. He gave us pointers on how to get the most out of our”tourist type” activities. He was also very attentive and made us feel like a priority with great conversation . We will be back as long as Declan works there.

We are a kayak group who come to Silver Springs twice a year, and we like to try new restaurants. We were very pleased with this one, the food was excellent, the service great, and the setting lovely. We will come back here!

We ended up eating her twice in our 24 hours in NYC. We were staying at the hotel so I had made reservations for brunch on Sunday. But when we arrived on Saturday our room was not ready and the staff at the desk encouraged us to go to the roof for a drink. It was pretty full but they had a high top for 2 right beside the bar. We had a flat bread pizza and drinks. They were great and hit the spot. Right before we had a chance to finish the pizza and drinks, a waitress lost her grip on a glass and it shattered on the marble bar and all over our table. No one was hurt. They insisted we move to a new table (for 4) and told us to stay put. They brought us 2 more drinks and a new pizza. They then told us everything was on the house and even brought out a dessert. Crazy.... The next day we came for brunch which was great! The atmosphere service and food can't be beat. Will be back on our next trip for sure!

The place is very pleasant and cozy. We didn't make a reservation. We arrived around 5pm and sat at a small table near the bar. The place seems to be very popular with people who just took a break from work and went to enjoy happy hour. It's not a place with a lot of tourists. We just had a few drinks and left. The service isn’t the best, but it’s worth the view…

This place is a gem. Great food, good music. Chilled out atmosphere. It also has a lovely roof terrace seating area with great views of NYC. We had some cocktails and fries which were delicious. The staff were friendly. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Would definitely go back next time we are in NYC

The ambience and environment was pretty cool. The food, however was subpar and nothing more than mediocre. At first glance the menu was impressive and interesting but the foot itself was just ok.

The booking confirmation was still in the hotel lobby. Without a reservation you can't even go up. A very pleasant place. Since it was winter, the (small) outdoor area was unattended but could be visited. The view of the Empire States is beautiful. I'm sure it's more interesting in the summer. The service was attentive but a bit pushy. In the first 3 minutes 3 people wanted to take my order. I had an excellent Cobb Salad for $17 and a glass of Elouan wine for $17. Definitely worth a visit. The hotel bar hosts jazz concerts, a good choice for an after-dinner drink on the rooftop terrace.

Made reservations ahead of trip and grateful as the location is quite busy. Most of the clientele are in the 20's or early 30's, so we felt a little old, but we were seated outside with a lovely view of the Empire State Building and a menu of tasty drinks (frozen frose' machine) and appetizers. Patio is designed with pillowed couches and a comfortable atmosphere. Recommend sunset reservations to enjoy the lights of the ESB.

Visited today for the first time, after reading much fanfare, and must admit I am mystified by the scale of acclaim this place seems to receive. The bar staff were about as useful as a pair of sunglasses on a bloke with one ear, and couldn’t have been less deserving of the gratuity I begrudgingly gave them. Despite spending north of 200 dollars, we were made to feel unwelcome visitors as if we had pitched up in someone else’s front room. After having the temerity to sit down at a vacant table, we were belatedly informed by a waiter that the table was in fact reserved. Wouldn’t mind, but the same guy had previously brought drinks to our table! All things considered, I’d firmly nail my colours to the mast in stating this is the worst rooftop bar I’ve visited in the city. What’s more, any potential for enjoying a decent view is prevented by a ghastly and frankly unnecessary tarpaulin roof, which would frankly be better served covering corpses. Shan’t be back.

One of the only things I enjoyed was how nice the lobby staff was when sending us up the elevator to the rooftop. I had read that this was a great spot for a drink and gorgeous view of New York, but the reality was far from that. There is a nice night view of the Empire State building, but the place was small and overcrowded. People were too artificial for my liking. We could not make it to the bar for a single drink. There was a whole unused section, but when we tried to sit down for a moment, we were ushered away and told it was reserved (no signs, of course). Overall, I absolutely hated the experience. I got one picture of the Empire State building (otherwise not such a great view) and left without even having had a drink. Only the friendliness of the elevator staff earns Refinery Rooftop a second star.

We went to the Refinery for a birthday treat whilst on Holiday, the Staff "Joey" couldn't do enough for us and the waitresses was brilliant with us all our time there, Amazing venue, amazing views, brilliant friendly staff. A must see place in NYC

Charming and airy space. Food was between good and very good, depending on the dish. Outdoor area looks beautiful for summer. Nice bar too.

Was very disappointed about this place .. a friend booked for 5 . Had a amazing table outside with spectacular views .. that’s where the positives end . Staff have attitude, very limited menu which is extremely expensive . Food delivered incorrectly. Unisex toilets which were very messy . Wouldn’t rush back tbh .

Super fun hip spot. Crowded & loud — which makes it fun especially if you have a table. Cocktails are great. Food is solid. Not a huge menu but something for everyone. No real view here - open ceiling is the highlight.

Cute rooftop! Excellent service. Nice view of the Empire State Building. Excellent menu, had the steak panini and a cocktail.

When you make your reservation, you already pay $14 (not deducted from the final bill - as clearly indicated on the reservation website) and you are informed that a 1h30 slot is reserved for you: we will not tolerate your presence for longer (very charming, the tone is set: we are here to do Business). You arrive in this extremely noisy place with a very pleasant "American vintage" decor - poorly lit - but no view of the surrounding buildings (the terrace is "under a tent!"). I should point out that we went there in November, it is perhaps much better in Summer to have the famous "Rooftop View" for which we had booked specifically here, otherwise ZERO view. The two of us paid over $110 for 2 cocktails, a water (sparkling!!) and two dishes: 1 super-shabby Caesar salad + 1 extremely-shabby and lukewarm chicken panini. Nothing else for $110. All served with “Chips”! (you read correctly: supermarket "chips", which they sell to you like "Potatoes" on the menu: WE DREAM!). I would have preferred to have real Fries (French or American) or real, slightly cooked American potatoes. That would have been great!! THANKS. Well no: basic appetizer chips will do for this 3 Michelin star meal (is it the aperitif or a dinner?). In short, the worst experience of all the restaurants (around ten) in NYC during this stay (we can provide lots of advice on good restaurants). The meal was completed in 30 minutes (aperitif included) and we only wanted to LEAVE this noisy and dehumanized place. A hell. This place... (this place) is perfect for BoBo New Yorkers wanting bad food and an ultra individualistic atmosphere. No heat: we were ALONE in this hole. Instead, go to "Pershing Square" (a "basic" but charming brasserie opposite Grand Central Station) or to "Bistro Les Amis" with lots of charm and good food, in SoHo.

Visited with family, very busy but soon found a spot at the bar. We ordered a couple of items off the food menu, the tater tops and calamari, both excellent. Would recommend.

Another nice New York place. Unfortunately, however, we were unlucky with the table. Where we were sitting you could see practically nothing, in fact the city skyline and the empire was visible from a few tables. Surely in the summer, with all the outdoor seating, it would have been something else entirely. Another flaw, little choice of cocktails and most with tequila that I honestly do not go crazy. Anyway very nice local and always kind staff. A plus to the music they played. Really great playlists unlike today's scrausa music that runs in Italy.

Given that there is a time limit based on how many people are at the table and I only had 45 minutes... I enjoyed this incredible view. The terrace is splendid and it would be truly exceptional if the food were better, the guacamole tasted like nothing, while the cheesecake was good but nothing special. Once the time is up they come to kick you out (rightly) for those who have booked the next time slot, a huge shame! I would go back there again and again, the music splendid, the view unparalleled

Great bar with great vibe. The food and service are excellent. I highly recommend the butchers meatballs and the squash soup as appetizers. Incredibly delicious. As far as the views... it’s just ok. Not cheap... 2 appetizers and 3 glasses of wine. $77. But I’d come again with friends and hang out on the patio..

An amazing view and decoration. I loved the music and the crowd, but they lacked in the booze department.

Excellent staff attention very delicious food highly recommended this a place is one of my favorites. New York City in Manhathan.

Refinery Rooftop is a great little rooftop spot that offers good music, good service, good food and decent views of NYC. My wife and I decided to head to Refinery because we heard it was a fun spot. We made a reservation the day before and it worked out great. We were headed to a Broadway show. We arrived a-little late and the hostess was so accommodating. She got us a table and made sure the servers knew we were pressed for time. The hostess was outstanding! The serve was quick to take our order and the food came out quickly. While we waited we walked around and checked out the views. Nice view but it just really brings you closer to the feel of NYC. The food was very good we had lobster Mac and cheese, as well as the Flatbread. Both were good and the cocktails were good as well. I would recommend Rooftop Refinery to everyone. Great place! I give Refinery an A. Service was awesome!

Perfect ambient, great view! the Empire State included!!! Simple but yummy food and drinks. Nice place to enjoy the night, the music, the people and the view.

Great service great place to socialise, amazing staff , The views an are amazing I would definitely recommend a visit here.not to be missed book in advance….. thank you for a great night.

This was my special 60th Birthday lunch. Food, service & view was amazing!! The hummus was delicious!! My spinach salad & my husband’s burger was outstanding! The S’mores shot was a perfect ending to a wonderful lunch. We sat outside on the patio & the view of the Empire State Building was a bonus!!

Very annoyed, stayed at the Refinery Hotel assuming it was connected to this bar-restaurant but it is separate. Anyway booked months ahead for a meal during our 4 night NY trip. Cancelled by the restaurant with a weeks notice due to a private function. No other evening free so far as they have private parties each night….. It’s a great venue but totally split by their lack of care or planning due to cashing in on a private party

Stopped in for a quick drink whilst exploring NYC. Nice ambience with view of the Empire State Building. Limited Seating, most tables are reserved, and we were lucky to get a seat outside on the benches. Just had a quick beer before moving on, but it was long enough just to rest our feet and take a couple of quick photos.

Terrible service- it was our anniversary and in 2 hours, we only got drinks and a starter. Too busy chatting. The male waiters were the only ones serving from the kitchen. The ladies were chatting. Went to go take a bandage off in the toilet and you had to tip. I had no dollars so couldn't go in. Awful! We got half a glass of prosecco on arrival I must say. Hmmm.

We were in NYC to see a show, and were pleasantly surprised with restaurant week! The drinks were delicious, staff was friendly and attentive, and food was amazing. We are definitely adding this to the list of places to revisit!

Amazing view of the Empire State Building while enjoying cocktails. Excellent variety of food and drink. Great outdoor and indoor place.

Service was not good. Attitude from the server. Could not order a couple of items on the menu due to broken equipment in the kitchen. Spot is nice, for sure. But overall experience did not meet expectations

Recently enjoyed a lovely birthday lunch here meeting up with family. The food is great and typical American portions. In particular I would recommend the “punk fries” the service was first class by lovely friendly staff and the complimentary fizz all around for my birthday was well received. The location views and ambiance was just perfect and rest assured we will be back when visiting NYC again. For sure we will be recommending to all.

I’ve been here maybe 8 times and maybe two of the experiences were acceptable. The food is passable and the view is ok. The hostess staff is simply unprofessional. Gross and rude. The bartenders are usually great. I stay at the Refinery hotel regularly and it’s a nice place. Too bad their restaurant is terrible.

Food was average and the menu fairly limited. The view over the Empire State Building is nice but that’s all you can see. I would not go back.

We were here to enjoy a drink and NYC rooftop ambience. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by ear-splitting music levels which caused everyone in the crowded bar to shout at each other. Additionally, the rooftop portion of the "rooftop bar" was closed for a corporate get-together.

Great place for drinks, dinner, and dancing! We had the sliders, which are tiny, and the sides of Tots and Fries, which are huge! If we went back, we would share 10 sliders and 1 side item.

Nice spot and great view but maybe i am just to old. So loud you cant talk. Drinks are pretty good and aps are ok but so many choices in NYC not sure. 200 bucks for 6 drinks and 3 aps maybe is going rate.. But I think it suffers from false Hipster syndrome

Visited last weekend and it was fantastic ! The food was delicious, we devoured it! Staff were lovely and friendly, service was prompt and we left excited to return. Thank you all!

A friendly, welcoming place at affordable prices in a very cozy place. Fast service, affordable price for central NYC location

Last evening in NYC, and we decided to go to a rooftopbar. We picked the Refinery rt, and it did not disappoint. Very nice vibe, great view on ESB. The food was very nice and service was very friendly. Would defenitely come here again a next visit!

The food and drink are better than the online reservation system. I requested same day reservations thru Google here. I was confirmed, only to find the reservation didn't go thru. Fortunately, the host was able to accommodate a shortened table service for us. The apps were great and so were the drinks. I appreciate what the host was able to do for us. Ironically, I later received a note from Google reservations on how the enjoyed the meal. Clearly, Google's systems had a connection glitch with the restaurant.

We reserved a table on a Sunday as we had children with us. Fabulous views of Empire State at night and great atmosphere. Food choice is pretty basic but good ‘bar food’. Definitely worth a visit!!

Over rated, way too crowded, nowhere to sit. Waited over an hour to sit only to wait another hour for waitress to take our dinner order. She obviously needed help. This was a waste of time. Had way higher expectations for this place. It was a bad choice for a birthday dinner. We left and ended up eating at our hotel which was fabulous.

What an amazing surprise to be welcomed at the door, then an escorted elevator trip to the top. You will not be disappointed, this roof top experience can not be described but must be lived! I highly recommend this place. On one side, the Empire State building ( what a view at night), the other side, the Conde Nast building ( breathtaking at night). The ambiance, the vibes, is very classy, the food is tasty, and the drinks are fabulous. Enjoy either indoor or outdoor seating either way, you will live it!

Visited in December, get the lift up inside the refinery hotel. It was busy when we arrived and didn’t have a reservation but within minutes there was room at the bar, had a few drinks and some bar snacks, these were really nice... would recommend visiting here.

We celebrated my hubby's 50th birthday here and what a treat! The view speaks for itself but the staff are amazing,so welcoming,so accommodating. We highly recommend the fish tacos. It's a special place, just go.

Awesome vibe and atmosphere. City views and great view of Empire State Building in particular. Food was decent and fair priced. Definitely a good place to day drink.
Great spot, atmosphere, view, food and service
Good food, nice wine, fair prices considering quality of food and amazing location, with confortable tables, cosy terrace, rooftop, all this with such a view on the Empire State Building + one (nice) comment about the meat being a bit less rare than asked, and the boss comes, apologizes and compensates generously
