Sky-High Bliss

By YASIR M |

Rooftop 93 Bar & Lounge is a stunning urban oasis! With panoramic views of the skyline, it’s perfect for sunset cocktails. The ambiance is vibrant, and the drink menu is impressive. Ideal for a night out or a special celebration—don’t miss this gem!

Very pretty view!

By Emma Z |

Open until a little past 12. It was a cool lounge feel, we stopped by for some beers and to check out the awesome view. Worth the ride up!

Really nice place to enjoy the view

By Diana |

Affordable prices, also happy hour each day. Small place but really good view and cozy place. Only minus point - you have to go down for smoking.

Fantastic find, great vibes

By john b |

I went here with my wife after a recommendation from my hotel (not the hotel at rooftop 93). After a quick ID check at the door, we were welcomed to go to the roof to enjoy the views. Spectacular. We then went downstairs to the bar to enjoy happy hour and bar snacks with sweeping views looking to the North of NYC. The staff were very polite and friendly. Table service was fast. Unfortunately we left early to go to another similar bar but had a bad experience. I'll be back here in a flash. Thanks!

Roof top bar in China Town

By Garga2 |

Upon arrival, I had no idea where to go just to have beer. In Wyndham which is close to my stay, I found good place providing beautiful scenery from there. Except for the day there was a party, the place was not so crowded and relaxing. You can enjoy Manhattan!

Kenny is the man!

By boyintheiceberg |

the bartender Kenny was super nice and recommended me a number of spots to hit up for dinner, bars, etc. I’m only here for a short stay but if I have time, I’ll definitely be back!

Nice rooftop

By Tricia L |

This bar was at the top of the hotel and had a nice view of the city downtown. The staff wasn’t very friendly or anything amazing. The happy hour was cool but a little water down. Music was great! Food was good! It’s a great after work spot for a chill vibe.

Awesome view

By EnZed-27 |

As others have said, worth it just for the view if nothing else (but I liked it aside from that as well). We went during happy hour so beers and wine were cheap too, $5 each with a few different options. I went after being recommended by a friend who stumbled upon it accidentally. Well worth a visit.

Great view but music too loud to talk.

By Karen J |

Small venue with a great view and comfortable seating. Drinks were good. Music was incredibly loud, which was odd because there isn't any space to dance. It was so loud that it was near-impossible to talk to anyone. So don't bring your date here unless you don't have anything to say to them, lol. Also, the Bar's website shows photos of an outdoor area, but we were told that the outdoor space is only open for special events and not to the general public.

Lovely

The rooftop bar wasn't actually open when we were there but the lounge was. It's really nice, the cocktails are great and the views are wonderful.

Nice & quiet roof top bar

Had a few nice drinks before heading out into the Manhattan night life. Staff was attentive. Enjoyed the atnosphere

Great Views, Friendly Service

By Craig C. |

I found a new regular spot for myself. First off, great views from the 18th floor of the Wyndham Garden in Chinatown. Really stunning when you first get off the elevator and take a look out the floor-to-ceiling windows. My girlfriend and I came here for their Happy Hour ($5 beer, $6 mixed drinks, $6 sake, $8 select cocktails) and got a little table on the back wall right away. I started with the sake, which was served hot in a traditional sake set. After enjoying that, I went with a Sapporo. Service was super friendly and quick. They gave us space to enjoy our time, while also checking in on us on a regular basis to make sure we were good with our drinks. Very enjoyable. What more can I say - great service, great prices, and great views. Can't wait to come back and experience the open deck on the 19th floor when it's a little warmer and better weather.

Great place to unwind

By Ed M |

The lounge has great views of midtown Manhattan with floor to ceiling windows. Comfortable seating is available but bar space is limited. The reasonably priced "Happy Hour" drinks made it even better

A Great view of New York City

By labrmon |

Went up to the Rooftop for a drink and saw a great view of the City. A nice place to relax with a great view.

A hidden rooftop gem

By SirFabulous |

We were recommended this rooftop from a local friend in New York. The drinks were great, the bartenders were chatty and chill, and the view was amazing! You can see all of Manhattan from here, so I'd really recommend going to a rooftop somewhere away from midtown, like this place. Great music as well, and overall a very chill and fun place to be.

Go For Sunset!

By misopiso88 |

A bunch of us went to Rooftop 93 after work for drinks. They have a minimum spend per person to access the rooftop so we stayed in the bar on the floor below. Views are awesome...especially at sunset! Highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood.

Fun place for a drink or three

By lyn643 |

Rooftop bar with wonderful views of Manhattan. Music was bumping. Seemed to be a very hip spot for couples looking to steal a little of the night away.

Great view

By mbellastyle |

This is the rooftop lounge at the Wyndham Garden Hotel Chinatown. Was here in September and it was a beautiful warm evening. Enjoyed a nice glass of red wine. It's a nice comfortable place to have a conversation and enjoy a cocktail. I just wished they served some snacks to have with the drinks. The view was really nice.

Good for a quick drink

By Scott G |

We were staying at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown and just popped up to Rooftop 93 to grab a quick drink before heading out. We got there about 30 minutes after it had opened, so it wasn't busy at all. I'm sure it gets much busier as the night progresses. The view uptown was great (much better than from our room) as was the service. We got a coconut rum cocktail and a Myanmar beer (I'd never seen Myanmar beer offered anywhere before so thought to try it out). The drinks are averagely priced for NYC.

A view to die for

By BenitoAndersoni |

Whilst staying at the Wyndham property we went up to the 18th floor ( you don’t have to be a guest tho) ...wow what a view from the enclosed bar or the rooftop...bar snacks finish the deal.

Good place for happy hour with a view

By jeffb1 |

Went here for drinks and a view. The upstairs terrace was great. The Happy hour prices were good ($6 for a beer or drink) although the drinks were rather weak. Go here if you just want to talk and relax a bit and see the skyline.

Nice Rooftop

By David B |

Overall, we really liked Rooftop93. The drinks were really good (I'd recommend the Fall Fashioned and the Tequila Sundowner...and if you're a Harry Potter fan, then you have to try Spiked Butter Beer. The view is good, especially at night. Unfortunately, the outside areas were closed because of the cold weather. The servers and bartenders are all super nice as well. My only complaint would be the state of the bathroom; for a nice place like this, the bathroom was in relatively bad shape (dirty floors, badly scratched walls, etc.)

Great views!

By Brian D |

Great views of the city. The drinks were good and the staff was very good. Definitely worth checking out if you are near Chinatown.

Worth it just for the view

By musicfan76 |

The drinks are expensive, and the music can be a bit loud on a Friday or Saturday night, but the view makes up for it, and the staff is nice. But it is really all about the view - such unique and special perspective, with Bowery leading the eye right to the Empire State Building, and then if you are able to look out the front of the building on the roof, then you have a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge over to the Freedom Tower. Just pay for the drinks and enjoy the amazing view of one of the most spectacular skylines in the world. Note - not a restaurant - just a bar!

Under-known Gem

By Jeff B |

Great and unusual views north of midtown including unobstructed photo opps of Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, plus happy hour deals.

Great Views

By MartinJWirth |

The bar was very nice. Bartenders were friendly and helpful, if you had any questions about the area.

the seat is not comfortable

By Wendy L |

The place is open and not cosy. There are bench of seats and we were sat at a table with the same level of bench next to the window. There is no back support and so uncomfortable. We are looking at one direction of the view only and need to turn our back to see the view from opposite direction. We asked to sit at a corner booth and the waitress refused as that table was reserved for 6 people. We offered to leave at 7:30pm if we take that "reserved" table and she refused. Not enjoyed the service and atmosphere there. I will not go back there again.

The Views! The Servers! The Cocktails!

By Kevin K |

After several visits, we got to know the staff of attentive and attractive servers (Katie and Cheyanne), who were quite good at their jobs. The drinks were well-made and the service was quick and efficient. The views were great and their July 4 party was the BEST! Kudos to the whole team at RT93.

Don't bother

By Sally D |

We are staying at the Wyndam Garden Chinatown and so popped up to this bar for a night cap last night. Before you go any further reading this, apparently Rooftop 93 is nothing to do with the Wyndam Garden - which is very nice, in an accessible area and reasonably priced. Back to Rooftop 93. The drinks were okay, can't really fault them. The prices were too high though. The most disappointing thing about this place is the waitress who was on duty. 10-10:30pm Monday 2 May 2016. She wouldn't allow couples to sit in the window to enjoy the view. Reason? They were tables of four and apparently only groups of four were allowed to enjoy the view. There were four couples in there last night and the two tables at the window were empty the whole time we were there! Two guys came in and got the same 'you can't sit at the window' treatment. So they decided to leave. The waitress was EXTREMELY rude to them as they left. The view is lovely but we have been enjoying the same beautiful view from our bedroom on the 8th floor. We left after 20 minutes and decided not to leave a tip as the waitress was so rude. She had a go at us and wouldn't let us leave without tipping her!! My other half begrudgingly gave her a 12.5% tip which was more than she deserved. Tip for anyone considering going here: don't, it's an awful experience. Tip for the company who employ this girl: get rid of her before she ruins your business.

New Years 🎉🎉🎉

By Geoff M |

New Years view from the bar 🍺🍺🍺 so good. Hotel is in a great location, close to subway and Chinatown's treats. Worth the visit.

Stunning views!

By Judith T |

Stunning views of the NY skyline! and the staff were very friendly. Kenny was great very chatty. Good mixture of drinks and cocktails. Shane because there had been a bit of rain the outside terrace wasn't open yet.

Nice view

By travel_gogo2016 |

Rooftop has no service in November, we sat indoor on the top floor with great view to see NY landmark, the Empire State Building and the magnificent night view of street. We went to the rooftop before we leave. It has panorama of downtown financial area, Manhattan Bridge and of course Empire State Building. What a great place to see New York!

Roof top with the best views

By Thorner H |

As the title says the views are outstanding. Two things contribute to the roof top view here. 1. You have nearly 300 degress of unobstructed views from this roof; from the Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges coming around on the south and west up to the UN and Long Island City. 2. Since this rooftop lounge is on the 18th floor and most of the other buildings in the immediate Chinatown area do not go over 5 or 6 floors, the buildings of Manhattan rise in Midtown and the finnancial center to the south. Cons related to this rooftop: 1. Drinks are $15.00 and only so so, but worth it for the views. 2. The kitchen in the basement is now reopened so you should be able to get some finger food. 3. Every now and then they rent the entire bar out to a private function, so you are not able to access it.

A nice little rooftop bar, with an extra upper outside terrace

By shalovesny |

I really liked rooftop 93 - the bar and waitstaff were really friendly - some rooftop bars seem a bit above themselves (if you pardon the pun !) - but this place was welcoming and non intimidating for a first time visitor. We went there twice - the second time with our adult son and all enjoyed time at the bar and enjoying the great views the length of the Bowery heading uptown towards the ESB. Great views of one world observatory from the upper terrace bar .

Dirty, seedy, incredibly rude.

By Elena K |

So we've just gone up to this rooftop bar as it's our last night at the Wyndham Garden Hotel (the hotel in the building below the bar, apparently NOT affiliated) and we thought we'd check it out before we left. The elevator takes you directly into the bar so we stepped out into a dimly lit, seedy looking place and were immediately accosted by a female member of staff (I'm guessing she's the one other reviewers have mentioned judging by the description of her customer service skills!) My husband was immediately asked for ID (demanded really) so we asked politely for what purpose was this required? This individual didn't really seem to know, and basically said date of birth whilst shrugging her shoulders (my husband is 52 years old btw). Im not sure if this is standard practice but this is our 2nd stay in NY and we've NEVER been asked for ID before. I explained we had actually just come up to have a look and hadn't yet decided to stay but after looking at my husband's driving licence in the seedy blue light strip under the bar (this place is incredibly dark and dingey) she demanded my ID anyway. My ID was back in our hotel room so I said I had nothing with me but repeated we really had just wanted to check it out first, which apparently we weren't allowed to do without ID.... at first we were confused having stated we are hotel guests and quickly been put in our place that the bar has nothing whatsoever to do with the hotel (this is not how it's advertised on their website and they also offer a discount for hotel guests). But it was clear this individual simply enjoys throwing her weight around and seems to get off on being rude (read the other reviews!) If there was any likelihood we were going to go grab my ID and go back up for a drink, this was long gone the minute she spoke to us like we were something she'd just trodden in. Looking into the (empty) bar, it was also clear it was not only dark and seedy looking, but very cold and drafty and pretty scruffy with incredibly dirty windows. So if you're thinking of going up there and buying a drink for the view, I wouldn't bother unless you want the third degree and I don't suppose you'd see the view through all that grime anyway!

Cheeky staff

By angelcarla |

Visited here in February 2017 - we went pretty early on when the bar first opened foir the evening and whilst the view was lovely, the service was lacking, bit slow and miserable. I expect to pay a premium price for cocktails / drinks in such a location and was therefore pleasantly surprised that the prices were reasonable - but does reflect service. We initially sat on the seats near the window but moved to the benches as they were uncomfortable and the view could still be appreciated from there. It is dark in there (but needs to be or the view wouldn't be appreciated) and here is the rub...I reckon its a ploy to trap tourists too! So we asked for the bill and a 20% tip / service charge had already been put on there - not the usual 'suggestions' that you get, it was actually added on there and totalled up - ok, this is slightly cheeky and not easy to spot in a darkened room but my eagle eyes saw it and despite the service, we were happy to pay the 20% and also gave a few extra dollars in appreciation of the view if nothing else. We handed the check and money over to the waiter as we were passing to leave. As we got in the lift, the waiter actually stopped the lift doors from closing and said that we hadn't paid the tip and made the remark "this is how we make a living" I was so shocked at his attitude and behaviour and pointed out that 20% was already added on and in fact we had given a further 5% on top of that - he then scrutinised the bill and apologised saying that he didn't realise that the waitress had added the tip on automatically. I was just more annoyed at the patronising remark and actually speaking to other guests there - they said they ALWAYS add the 20% on automatically but a lot of people fall for the trap of looking at the total and then adding a tip, meaning they can often get as much as 40%. Wouldn't go again.

Great view and nice service

By Jens Christian R |

Went together with friends ad colleagues and had a happy hour drink, while the sun was setting over NYC. Spectacular view and reasonably priced drinks. And not least friendly service.

Fun place in Chinatown area

By Parker S |

This is a two story rooftop bar. The top floor is open air and the music is loud and the seating is uncomfortable but the views are great, including the Empire State Building. Below that is a nice room with decent seating and a private party area with floor to ceiling windows. The staff was very nice and they have a good happy hour with decent small bites. It’s a good spot and the whole city comes to light at and after sunset. Not too many seats.

Bad rooftop lounge.

By Alex V |

Hotel was great, only complaint is the rooftop lounge charging min 50 dollers to be able to go on the roftop . It was one of the main teasons for choosing this hotel. Wanted to get drinks and watch fireworks on the 4th of july, but they shut us out due to a private party that night. Did not care for hotel clients.

drunk girls running around

By Matthew T |

slow service.1 x brandy, 1 x whisky and lemonade for $30.loud and dark.the only thing going for it is the view.

Good NYC view

By EmiAbarth |

I went here because I stayed at their hotel below it. I went here twice. The rooftop was small but you can have a good view of NYC. I also sat inside the bar sofa to enjoy the view while I sip my drink with a friend.

Great view in relaxed atmosphere

By dkbe |

It's all about the view! If you manage to get a seat, just relax and enjoy the view. We did it before dinner in the happy-hour period (6-8 pm). If you stick to the standard cocktails and beer, it's not too expensive. And the drinks are secondary, anyway.

Deservedly Popular

By philip m |

There are two bars here, one indoors with protection from the weather, or one outside. Both have great views. Make your way there.

Great view in the middle of Chinatown

By Betty N |

Walked by on our way to dinner on Mulberry and were a little early so we stopped in for a cocktail. The view was gorgeous, the drinks were good ~ it's a small rooftop lounge.... don't think it holds 50 people, but for us, at 6pm it was perfect.... the waitstaff was very friendly and accomodating...

Great View good happy hour

By Tricia L |

Loved the view. The dj played good music. The happy hour was pretty good and reasonably priced but I noticed once we left that the waitress didn’t charge me happy hour prices for 2 of our drinks. So watch ur bill when u get it. The food options were good too. If u don’t go early it’s hard to get a table and a seat.

I almost hate to tell you about their happy hour!!!!

By animalhousewife |

This place is located on the top floor of an average hotel in Chinatown. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't read about it. But I did, and I wanted to go, and my husband was like, "God, not another rooftop hotel bar. . They're so expensive!" I pushed, and we ended up going. And we happily showed up just in time for happy hour, and when you're coming from a hotel in midtown, oh what a lovely happy hour it is! $8 for a cocktail, with a view to die for! We ended up staying long past our agreed upon "just one drink." I highly recommend this place, but I'm afraid to, because we had the place nearly to ourselves, and it will be such a bummer when everyone finds out about it! But I owe it to them to review, because the service was great and the drinks were strong and cheap and the view was breathtaking. This is one of those hidden gems.

Such a great view

By Lila84pc |

18th floor and Chinatown under your feet. You can't miss a drink in this place! Too bad you can't eat there...

Disappointed

By 1st-Tourist |

The bar is very dark, because under cover of too muffled lights, lies used interior, sticky tables, etc. The bar placed on 18th floor, so view can be good, but dirty windows were seen much better. Outside is closed for all times, so totally, the bar looks like small room bar in Bangkok. Gratuity automatically includes yo the bill. And if you are resident of the wyndham hotel, what are under the bar, there will not be any discount, despite an advertisement on the reception. Two cocktails in this seedy place will be near 40$.

Amazing views!

By tracylynn51 |

Great place to hang and have drinks! It was a beautiful night and also loved the appetizers. Nice spot!
