I've been frequenting Ryan McGuire's Bar & Restaurant for about six years. It's in my neighborhood, and I keep returning for the consistently incredible meals offered, the finely prepared drinks, and the caring, attentive service. I always ask about their daily specials. My bartender, Cathal (Cal), is from Ireland and is a master of mixology. My favorite drink is a Manhattan straight up. Cal always brings me the perfect cocktail, regardless of what I order. I have to thank him and the entire Ryan McGuire's family for always taking such good care of me. They make me feel special every visit.

We’d tried to book several times but received no reply to our emails so almost didn’t bother. Anyway, we’re glad we did. It had a great atmosphere and really friendly service. It’s an Irish themed venue and so is the menu. Would recommend the chicken pot pie!

Always warm and clean. Food tasty and fresh. Service excellent. Particularly inviting on a cold December evening with an excellent bar man (James?) Never disappoints.

I remembered this place from when I was in college, and being in the city during New Years, I had to go back, so glad I did. Immediately upon entering I was welcomed by the owner who was the nicest lady. I explained to her, I used to come here over 20 years ago, amazing how they have renovated it. Amazing cozy atmosphere, plenty of room, great food, especially the Ryan's' burger. Worth every penny, highly recommended if down by the seaport area.

Great place to eat and drink, reasonable prices for NY...good variety of food , Excellent service, cheap brandy,, highly recommend

First, kudos to the owner for investing heavily in the place while shut down during COVID. It is lovely, certainly invoking an Irish pub feel . Second, the staff was VERY attentive. (John was a great waiter.) Third, my friend had the cream of spinach with crabmeat soup and said it was delish. I had a burger cooked just the way i like it. We shared a very yummy chocolate lava cake. Finally: they have a bottomless brunch, which was well worth it. If you order from the brunch menu and then pay $20 more, you get unlimited bloody marys, mimosas and a few other brunch cocktails. I was skeptical that they wouldn't be watered down, and/or not served frequently. To my great delight: my mimosas were just as they advertised "dry champagne with a touch of orange juice, AND they kept refilling my glass. Wonderful!

After walking all morning our group of 8 needed to refuel. Met James (our server) outside and asked him if Ryan's was a good place to eat. He lied... He said the food was great and the beer was cold but the service was poor. The food was phenomenal, the beer was frosty but the service was not poor.... James lied.. The service was great too!!

My colleagues and I have been going to Ryan Maguire's for years - lunch, dinner, and celebrations. Good food and friendly staff. But what makes it really special is seeing and chatting with the owner, Mena, a lovely person.

Dropped in here in passing as a tourist and was very impressed by friendly staff and efficient service and good American bar food. As they show sports I rang up to see if they were showing European Champions League live midweek which they said yes if I wanted it. And they were as good as their word. Good choice of beers and wine at very reasonable prices. Great place.

Went there on m3mo4ial day so really quite, servic was reall6 good and so was the food. Cajun fries pow!

Great welcoming service, staff friendly, couldnt do enough. Cosy place, nice long bar and plently of seating. Good atmosphere. The menu is varied and all the food came piping hot and well presented. Deserts worth saving room for, red vevet cake was one of the best I have ever had. Great time had by all! Great

This is one our regular haunts when in NYC, great bar with decent service, good food and always clean. On the lead up to Christmas, it has a great atmosphere and is off the main tourist drag so has more locals that may bars in FiDi

While visiting our son who is a student in NYC, we were looking for a restaurant near his dorm and our hotel to meet for dinner. My husband found this gem. The front section is a pub with a long bar and some high tables while the back has regular tables. We were there on a Sunday evening and there was football playing on the TVs. The soup of the day was clam chowder, so I had to try it - full of clams with a light broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery - so good! I had the chicken pot pie - full of big pieces of white meat chicken and wonderful veggies in a puff pastry crust - amazing! My husband had a wrap with spectacular pub style crispy fries. Our son had the chowder and wasn't very hungry so just enjoyed the cheese quesadilla appetizer. This restaurant won't break your bank but will give you great tasting food. This will be a regular place for our visits while son is in school in NYC!

Loved this place, granted it was close to our hotel which made it easy to go there. Its downtown manhatten, everything is close. I just liked it, the staff we friendly and helpful, pointing us to local shortcuts to world class sights. Great food and drinks, super value for downtown.

Our bartender Nick hailed from Ireland and knows how to pour a pint properly. From the manager down to entire staff, they are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing after being in the city for a few days. My husband proclaimed it our new favorite Irish bar in NYC.

Stopped by here for dinner one night whilst staying in the Financial District. The pub is very welcoming and homely. The night we picked the two tables next to us were watching the football. It got pretty vocal and noisy, but not so much that it really bothered us but I can see why it would some people. Had the shrimp cocktail to start. Was yummy. And the shepherds pie. It was nice but not amazing. The staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great pub and I’d definitely head back there.

This was the best place we ate at during our 5 days in New York. My son had the shepards pie, my wife fish & chips and I had a fried cod sandwich with a cup of tomato soup. All of these dishes tasted excellent. For desert my wife had a cheesecake & I had some Lime pie which again were both excellent. Price was very reasonable by New York standards. My only minus point was the Gin & Tonic I ordered, the tonic seemed a bit flat. But still overall impression was very positive and I can recommend this place.

When we got there at prime time about 7 p.m. on a Saturday night, it was pretty empty. That worried us slightly but it did get good reviews. Three people in our party we sat in the pub. They have a nice selection of beer, not huge. We split 2 appetizers, calamari and coconut shrimp. Both were good. Service was quick and friendly. Our dinners came out promptly after our apps. A burger, ribs and the fried chicken breast in mushroom sauce. Everyone immensely enjoy their meal. All of us agreed that the chicken breast and ribs were really good! We were too full for desert! Also the prices were reasonable for NYC!

Sat at the bar and service was excellent. Just what you would want in a pub meal. Fair prices and excellent food. I would go back for sure.

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at Ryan McGuire's Friday night. We loved the atmosphere and the food was excellent. I highly recommend a visit!

I stopped here on the way out of town for a Shepherd's Pie with some new friends. It hit the spot, the service was great, and I enjoyed myself very much!

I had a great time here. Food was good and the staff friendly. They have games on if that is what you like. On Wednesdays they have a trivia game. That was fun. They were very helpful in answering questions about the area. I will definitely go back here next time I'm in New York.

Cozy place to enjoy your meals here. We also had a company luncheon at this place. Friendly staff and good beer. Nice atmosphere to relax and enjoy yourslef

Following a cruise that ended at pier 17, walking towards the metro we found this pub that impressed us from outside as it was decorated with Halloween pumpkins. Without having booked, we enter and find a table for 4 people. We had fish and chips, chicken wraps, chicken burgers and a pastrami sandwich. All very good, fried not heavy. We haven't tried the beers but they bring the usual "tap water" to the table. Not bad for dinner!

A nice place for a quiet meal in a frenetic area on the eastern edge of the financial district. Special hamburger is indeed special. Good service. Nice atmosphere.

Friendly bar (most are to be honest) with a goodly selection of tap beers as well as usual bottles and shots. The main thing is the prices here seem a little more reasonable than other bars which we tried, i.e. they are about $4 to $6 a (US) pint rather than $8+. Food is also fine for pub grub. My tip: make friends with the staff and tip them well, and early. They will look after you thereafter.

This was a great little find. We absolutely loved the food. Host was great. Prices were good. Waitress was a bit slow and inattentive but they can't control every single server. Our biggest problem was that the TV was so incredibly loud we could not even have a conversation over dinner. I think TV, music etc should be background. I felt like I was in a Dance Club/Concert. When you go out to dinner you should enjoy the company of your companions. I had Salmon-fabulous. My husband had Beer Battered Chicken which he loved. My children all enjoyed their meals. Just turn down the noise.

Great prices for lunch in NYC, wow. Service good and food was good. This is a place I will remember. Not overcrowded either which was nice for business discussion.

I work in the neighborhood; people come here all the time, for like decades, that's how loyal the fans are. My workplace colleagues have been coming here since at least 1993. And they don't go anywhere else. These bartenders are nice and polite. I believe the owner is Meena; she is often around looking after everything. They have a free happy-hour type food (5pm to 7pm is it?) which is very good; I have eaten their pasta or other happy-hour type goodies many a time. The wine prices are very reasonable; I am not a big beer drinker but they have a good selection of stuff on tap, including Irish ones.

We stopped here for dinner on Cinco deMayo for dinner. The stFf was friendly and we were seated right away. They had several TVs showing a Mets game but they weren't intrusive. The decor was nice and very clean. We got the loaded nachos which were delicious!! We also got the chicken fajita wrap, it was ok. We will definitely return on our next trip to NYC.

I found the staff to be very accommodating and efficient. The food was well prepared and tasty. The menu includes typical pub fare - fish & chips, Shepard's pie, and the like.

Most enjoyable experience and definitely a gem. Relaxed atmosphere, varied menu selections and both the food and drinks are among the best downtown has to offer.

We wanted to have a late lunch here, but we left with an unpleasant feeling. The food was average, and inside there was a large group of people making excessive noise, yet no one asked them to quiet down. The worst part came at the end. They brought us a bill that matched exactly what we had ordered. Two minutes later, the server snatched it from my hand and gave me a different one — 20% higher. They added a tip automatically, which no one here deserved. The tip couldn’t be removed. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

We used to go here before it had the fire a few years ago and had not visited since. We had a great meal here and returned a second time for a drink. Probably my favourite brain the financial district

The menu was comprehensive, suited us all. My French onion soup was splendid. We met friends to explore South Street Sea Port. This restaurant was a short walk away from the sight seeing area which is well worth the organising of a local car park if you drive into the City. On a very sunny day we took some lovely photographs of the waterside area that still seems to be in the throws of renovation.

A mini heatwave swept Manhattan in March. After alighting from the Staten Island Ferry, we wandered in the Financial District, and somehow lost our bearings. The sun beat down heavily, and we were hot and thirsty. We stumbled into Ryan Maguire's hoping for a quick pint and the chance to gain a sense of direction. The combination of a warm welcome, a great choice of beer and an inviting lunch menu, convinced us to stay for hours. We tried a number of different real ales, as recommended by our bartender, Nick. All were exceptional, as were the various bar snacks on which we grazed. Nick made us feel like a regular, as we chatted away whilst eating and drinking. In discovering Ryan Maguire's, we felt as though we had unearthed a hidden gem in Manhattan's bustling downtown. A bar worth returning to.

I had modest expectations for this place, given that it's in the financial district and it's surrounded by similar "Irish pubs" with much the same atmosphere and menu choices. I'd say my expectations were met: the ambience, food, and service were pretty basic. We were seated in the bar, but there appears to be a restaurant area toward the back. After a look at the menu, we stuck with pub food options: a burger and fish and chips. Both were serviceable, but not memorable in any way. Our server was friendly, but frazzled--he was at the end of a long shift, and it showed. A bottle of imported Irish cider was priced the same as a draft, which was a pleasant surprise. In the end, Maguire's felt a bit like a small-scale Applebee's, which is not a terrible thing, but nothing to go out of your way for. I think I'll try the gastropub around the corner next time.

Our Starr Bus tour (about 50 people) went to the 9/11 MUSEUM which included lunch at Ryan Maguire's Restaurant and Bar. It is within walking distance from the 9/11 Memorial. The exterior of the restaurant is charmingly decorated with flowers, lights, flags, beautiful sign. The staff is amazingly polite and welcoming. Soda bread biscuits served on table are Delicious. Fresh salad...The chicken, rice, string beans...excellent. Staff willingly accommodated me and my husband with our request to change our dessert from cheesecake to ice cream. The cheesecake looked amazing and was a healthy portion....everyone seemed to enjoy it very much...it's just that we don't eat cheesecake. The bar looked very appealing too, if you just wanted to stop for a refreshing drink. Going to Lower Manhattan? or 9/11 MUSEUM, or FINANANCIAL District neighborhood...this is a GREAT RESTAURANT. YES., want to return.

I was in NYC to visit my daughter at Pace. We went to Ryan Maguire's Saturday night. The decor is quintessential Irish Pub (which I love). The menu is extremely diverse and even offers a complete vegetarian section. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced and the staff was friendly and efficient. All in all an excellent choice.

atmosphere good service sufficient shepards pie moist and flavorful fun day friendly and efficient staff

Was just passing this bar and thought it was decorated so nice for Christmas we had to pop in. The bar staff were very friendly, recommending some cocktails which were not even on the menu. Nice and chilled out atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Shame we do not have enough time to pay a return visit

Its true what they say, some of the best things turn up when you least expect it. We found ourselves between options in the early evening of St.Paddys day down in the financial district when we stumbled across Ryan MaGuires, and weren'r we lucky!!!! Forget that it's in the Finacial District, this place has a local feel to it, the food was excellent, staff superb and above all the price was outstanding for what we got! 5 x 2-Course meals, a round of drinks and a bottle of red wine - $180 and there was no indictaion of any scrimping being made on the quality of the food. I can't recommend this enough. If down that way, or at the seaport area sniff this place out

Found this after a river cruise and walking up from Pier 11 area. Was worried given the proximity to Wall Street that it was an expensive area but liked the look of this and gave it a go, so glad we did. Food and service was really good. Good selection of beers. Nice atmosphere. Prices were more than acceptable.

Ryan Maguire's is one of our favorite bars in NYC. Over many years, it has always provided consistently decent food and atmosphere. On this occasion, the service was not as good as in the past and this is the only reason fro it not getting a 5*. The food was good and an enjoyable evening was had by all.

Stumbled across this place after a tour and we were so hot we needed a drink. We decided to have lunch. I had the fish and chips and it was one of the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Love this place

At home, we often settle. But, here, we decided that we weren't going to settle. We walked into 7 restaurants and walked out. We finally came to this place and it looked like the kind of place you could drown your sorrows, celebrate, catch up with an old friend, or enjoy a meal with your family. We asked a couple patrons, who were leaving, what they thought. Their comments made our decision final. Denise was our waitress and she was EXCELLENT. She was attentive, helpful, and accommodating. The food was yummy. We each had a different entree and each of us was happy. The drink menu was fun, too!y baileys and coffee was supreme and friends loved their beer. The price was extremely fair. Loved enjoying an old fashioned with my sister. We left with good stories, full bellies, and money to spend on our next adventure! ;)

Found this place in the Financial District down a side street. The place is a little dark but what Irish bar isn't. The staff was friendly and prompt. We only stopped in for drinks and a couple of appetizers (shrimp cocktail & dumplings) everything was good & reasonable.

called in here as it was recommended by locals plenty of drinks choice not as expensive as some bars in the area food menu just right ,just enough choice as far as i was concerned very friendly staff ,not too pushy food was very quickly brought to our table, just the right amount, not too much as in a lot of new york eateries and cooked to perfection would definitely recommend

This is a nice and typical all American bar. Good and friendly staff, several screens with basketball and hockey and a good variety of beers on draft. The typical pub food is of great quality and the portions are American style: huge. I was around for business and had a good talk with other guests at the bar. Absolutely a great place like there are 1000’s in America...very nice to spend the evening!!!! Well done guys!!!

We were in town for Thanksgiving and after eating here a few nights previously we decided to have our Thanksgiving meal here, we were not disappointed, it was delicious. The bar is very homely and friendly and the staff are quick to welcome you coming in the door. Owned and run by the Maguire family they have done a really good job.

Had dinner here - steak was to die for ! Food portion sizes are pretty generous, as are the wine glasses. Extremely friendly wait staff.

We wandered in for a very late lunch - despite the good reviews I was a bit skeptical- staff vary pleasant and attentive. Good tasted good and was served hot. All in all a very pleasant visit - we would returnz

We hit Ryan Maguire's on the way back to the hotel after dining in the Seaport area. The bartender was very friendly and we made a few friends over a college football game.

Stopped here while out & about during early afternoon on a Saturday. Four brothers ... hungry & wanted to watch some football. Very accommodating in terms of changing the TV to a sports channel for us. Three of us had burgers & were very happy with them (especially the 2 of us who added the grilled onions & bacon). One of us had the Eggs Benedict & he reported it was delicious. Guiness on tap was the icing on the cake. Great service. Especially nice that they ask how you want your burger done & then do it that way. Only "down side" was wouldn't do separate checks; would only split the bill (equally) among 4 credit cards.

Went after a family walk for a brunch. Great service especially with a huge group. The food was good pub food and the drink selection was really nice. Good place in the seaport area.

This place was more upscale than it's Irish Pub neighbors. Good place to start your Friday night Happy Hour. Wings were a bit over-cooked, but fried calamari was Yum! Generous bartenders and inexpensive too!

Popped into Ryan’s after visiting Pier 17 Nice bar with a friendly layout The Guinness was good and we had the Seafood Chowder Not quite what we are used to from an Irish Chowder but nice all the same Well worth a visit

We always head back to Ryan Maguires, always a great atmosphere with excellent service and food. Definitely worth heading there if you are in the financial district and want to get away from the tourist bars around WTC.

We arrived for dinner about 8:30 pm and found the place almost full and a bit too noisy for conversation. A weekly trivia game soon brought the noise level down significantly. Wide selection of beers, and food was clearly a cut above average pub grub -- it was more than an afterthought. Nice pub atmosphere. We'd return if we are in that neighborhood again.

Nice well-stocked bar with decent pub food selections. Good burgers, lobster ravioli was tasty too. Attentive service. A good choice in this area.

I've been here before, but am always satisfied. Staff are always attentive and friendly. Value is excellent. Around 5PM it was more a place for locals. But around 6PM, the younger crowd just getting off work showed and the place packed them in. I recommend this place, especially if you like authentic Irish bars (which I do). I'll be back.

Good car bombs, good service (almost, but I am from the south), but hair....on a serving dish. Really? I would come again but just to drink. Great location to our hotel which is why we came in. Not going to lie, for Manhattan, figured it would be more spectacular. Free wifi is nice... horrid techno music. Come again? Probably not on this trip. Or any other.

Did we pick the wrong night to be there? Maybe so. My wife and I stopped in for a small meal and a drink in a friendly New York City bar/restaurant. Or so we thought. The food was mediocre at best. The house wine wasn't up to that quality. And the noise was impossible. Bad luck on our parts, I hope-- the voices at the next tables were piercing, penetrating, and drunk. That's BEFORE the men joined them! It definitely got worse after that! We could barely hear ourselves talk to each other-- and I've only talked about the noise at one nearby table. Other tables might have been better situated. Or not. Short version: we couldn't leave soon enough!

Visited this lovely bar twice in the last week. Beautiful clean spotless bar area. Food delicious and service fantastic.

After a long day of walking all over lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights, we stopped here for some refreshment on our way back to the hotel. We were not disappointed. Excellent choice of draft brews, great atmosphere, and very friendly bar staff. We didn't eat, but all the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled good.

Found Ryan Maguires by accident and enjoyed a lovely drink and a rest before continuing our exploring of the financial district. decided to return on another day and have lunch. Service was excellent, lunch was great with a very varied menu, large cholice of drinks good atmosphere. Would definately recommend.

Went here on a Saturday so it was pretty empty, the financial district, you know, and had a wonderful meal. I had the stuffed chicken breast which was fabulous and served with perfectly cooked asparagus and okay rice pilaf. My sister had the Irish beef stew which tasted like it had just come out of the home kitchen of a very good Irish cook! Both meals were terrific, the ambiance and service great.

We were in new York in September. I have been meaning to do a review which is well over due...My self my husband and my three children...Well my 23 and 21 year sons and my daughter went to Ryan Maguires pub.It made our holiday....The food was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were so good.My sons met a gentle man reaus was his name and we joined them and had a lovely night. There was a bar man Wesley was his name and he was so professional at his job.I would 100% recommend Ryan Maguires for food and drinks. We would definitely go back if we were visiting new York again. Thanks to Wes and reaus for a lovley night.Paul Linda Mark Stephen and Ciara Dublin Ireland

Visiting from out of town and always try to find something that is not a chain. This did not disappoint. It’s on a side street and has an inviting outside. The inside reminds me of an upscale true Irish pub. The service was great and very personable. I had fish and chips, wife had Rueben and son had bangers and mash. All were top notch. The brown gravy on bangers was outstanding. This would be a must go to if in NYC.

Ryan Maguire's has never let me down - atmosphere is good, staff friendly and attentive and food, though not a huge choice, is delicious. The Shepherd's Pie is the best I've tasted in Manhattan and the Chicken Wings make a great starter. Good selection of beers / reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Wondered upon it while headed to another eatery adjacent to the Financial District but ditched our plans and went to Ryan Maguire's instead. Great decision on our part. Their brunch was delicious. Friendly wait staff and excellent food. Give them a try!

Maguire's impressed me with both food quality and service. True Irish dishes,( Shepards Pie, Stew and Fish and Chips) all outstanding. Service was amazing and of course all Irish libations readily available. Walking distance to 9/11 museum and South Street. Worth a look and try if anywhere near.

While waiting for the tour ferry we had time to kill and needed some where to park up for an hour, we found this bar tucked away and went in for a coffee, found the staff really firendly and from Ireland, spent a nice hour the bar chatting with the staff and drinking coffee, a nice hour spent in the bar, woth popping if you around the brooklyn bridge

We've been going to Ryan's for years and their food is always great. Their prices are reasonable. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant eating experience. Their brunch is delicious! This is also an excellent option for large parties.

Our party of 5 had ordered sushi, but the order got screwed up so we walked the 1/4 mile to this quaint eatery on a side street in the financial district. Preferring to eat outside we settled on a round table and ordered drinks promptly. Our waitress, Annie, was very nice and friendly explaining everything from drinks to what was good to eat. My wife settled on a cheeseburger as rare ‘mooing’ as the kitchen would allow. The rest of us settled on fish & chips. Everything arrived in short order and everyone was pleased with their respective meals. Annie said she was working behind the bar as well as waitressing, but she handled everything very well. This restaurant could only do 25% seating due to government restrictions. We thanked Annie and the other wait staff for an enjoyable evening.

we were there St Patricks weekend and pub crawled all over Tribecca. Some good, some okay, but this was a true gem! Very friendly people, excellent food, reasonable prices and great staff. This will be our home next time we visit the City.

The food is excellent. All the staff are top notch. And, the drink prices are very good, especially for the NYC. Highly recommend...definitely a gem on a quiet side-street in the Fidi (downtown Manhattan financial district)! Try the buffalo chicken strips...amazing! Traditional Irish food...delicious!

Relaxed friendly bar where we stopped to rest our weary feet. Stopped for one, stayed for six and a piece of chef's birthday cake. Decent glass if wine, good margaritas. Currently surrounded by closed shops due to the horror of hurricane sandy. But don't let that put you off. Take a walk and rest a while here.

Ryan Maguire's is worth a visit if you are in the area of the South Street Seaport. On a little side street just off Fulton, it's just a five minute walk to the Seaport. Our small group of visitors was greeted by a friendly man with a wonderful brogue who showed us to our tables. The restaurant is narrow and deep with the front dominated by a beautiful, long wood bar along one side and a single row of tables on the other side. In the back is an attractive dining room. Everything is dark, polished wood with muted lighting. Overall there is a warm feel to the restaurant, even though there were several large TVs showing a soccer match with muted sound. The four of us at our table were generally pleased with our food. I had a shepherds pie that very was good, very tasty. My wife had salmon which she thought was a bit salty, but when she gave me a taste , I didn't think so. Our two companions had chicken entrees which they were pleased with. Talking with others, I heard compliments on the meals. The service was excellent and friendly, despite our group descending all at once. It's a warm, friendly place. While we didn't pay individually for our meals, I looked at the menu and found the prices to be reasonable. One caution: when the dining room in the rear is full, the noise level is high.

Great atmosphere! Excellent service! Food was good. The calamari, was a wee bit greasy, though. Definitely a great place to grab a bite and a pint!

We ended up here on New Years Eve for an early dinner after a botched reservation at the Italian place nearby. They were gracious enough to fit us in for dinner without a reservation and in the end we were glad the other reservation fell through. The servers were very kind, it was a comfy place, good food. My son loved the pizza, think I had a seafood penne pasta which was delicious, and hubby liked what he had. Key lime pie was made from scratch, apple cobbler with ice cream was tasty. Also had a bar area up front with table seating in the back. Great little place for a family dinner.

Came here on July 4th, they had a limited menu. They were nice enough to expand it so my kids could have pizza. Shepherd's pie was good, and the beer was excellent. Excellent value in NYC.

We were surprised to see so many "Irish Pubs" in the Financial District. We checked the website for Ryan Maguire's and we liked the menu choices, the prices, and the look of the place. Also, it has received an "A" rating from the city, which is important to us when choosing a restaurant. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was warm and friendly--and it was very clean inside. Lots of people were at the bar and lots of people were dining at the tables. There were three in our party, and we all ordered some type of sandwich rather than an entrée. The sandwich choices were excellent, and the vegetarian offerings were excellent. The food was fresh and deliciously prepared. Service was excellent and very attentive. Prices were reasonable for NYC. We even got refills on our coffee!!!! (This is rare in many NY restaurants). I will definitely come here again, and it is absolutely one of my recommended places in the Financial District.

We did actually mean to get back for the food and didn't - although it smelt good. The bar staff were second to none and actually Irish - this totally bucks the trend on dark dank Irish bars and for the second time that day we met someone who knows Mitcham - not sure of that is a good thing or not mind - LOL.

The food is great especially the buffalo tenders app. Really honest clean bar in the downtown area. It's location is a probably why it's not overly crowded but for you tourists near the seaport it's worth the 2 blocks walk. Prices are reasonable as well. Enjoy.

This is the perfect place for me, from the warm greeting, the music just the right type of light popular music that is friendly to everyone. Staff are great and friendly happy to have some banter. The beer selection is large and varied and the food is excellent, the beer battered chicken and baby back ribs are worth every cent. This place has a friendly and warm buzz about it, we will be coming back.

The shepherds pie is amazing... use the sauce they give you, it really sets off the flavor. Service is great and very personable!

On a business trip to New York, I had to work on Thanksgiving and when I notice was almost 9 PM. The Ryan Maguire's was the only restaurant open in the neighbourhood due to the holiday. The food was decent and the service was good. Definetely a place I would go back.

Travelled to the NY Financial area, close by to the South Street Seaport. Stopped in for a quick beverage. We asked if they minded that we sit at a table even though we planned not to eat and they had no issue with it. The draft beers were fresh and perfectly chilled. We decided to have a few appetizers. We ordered a steak appetizer and a chicken quesadilla. Both were made perfectly; both well priced and delicious. We were hooked. Stayed for dinner and desert. Shepard's pie, steaks and even the pasta were all top notch. We finished off with a fresh apple crisp a la mode. The decor was wonderful. You can see that they had just setup for fall and Halloween. The service was excellent and the on premise owner was not overbearing but assured a smooth operation. I look forward to return visit next time we are in the downtown area.

We have been going to Ryan Maguire's for many years and even remember it before the fire. It is a great place, service is always top notch, food very good and a great atmosphere. Always our go to place.

We were walking around the area and stopped in for a cold beverage and a bite to eat. The chicken parmigiana panini and our waiter James’s suggestion of the chicken pot pie were excellent and did not disappoint.

I have visited this pub on earlier trips to NY and it is always very friendly. We popped in after a long walk across the Brooklyn Bridge in need of a seat and a beer! The barman was so friendly and when I mentioned I was hungry he said there was a complimentary pasta dish that I could help myself to - I didn't really want a big meal and this just hit the spot! It was delicious too! All the staff were really friendly and I have always liked the vibe in this pub - reasonable prices for beer, friendly staff and free food - what more could you want?!!

We visited based on Tripadvisor review. Delicious brunch of crabcakes Benedict. My husband had hash and eggs which he enjoyed. Server was excellent-sweet Irish young lady. Highly recommend!

Excellent Irish bar with a lovely atmosphere. Found by accident on our first trip to NYC in 2019 and made a point of visiting again last week. Second time round did not disappoint. Food was really nice and service was excellent. If you can, visit Ryan Maguires!

Came here for 30 min to have dessert , they had coconut cream pie , and drizzled a fruit sauce on the plate in a square, it was dry , old and no whipped cream , didn't even finish it . Was a cool bar & atmosphere, Mabey back for drinks & food , we'll see .

Better than the average place for a casual business lunch in the finance district, the burgers are really good. Especially the Ryan burger. Even though the place wasn't super busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff, it's an overly long wait for food. I would go back.

Arrived in NYC late Sunday and had a wonder round the location of our hotel. We stumbled across this pub and we’re hopeful for decent food.. we weren’t disappointed.. The staff were all friendly and served us quickly. The food was delicious and by far the best meal we had on this trip… Wanted to get back there but we ran out of time. We would happily recommend and return if we’re ever in the city again!!!!

Came here with my mother and Aunt to relax after a day of searching records at Ellis Island. It wasn’t too crowded so we were able to spread out a bit and relax. The waiter was very generous and friendly. Attentive to our needs for water too. Our drinks were generous too and not watered down.

Good service, great comfort food, excellent prices. Just what we were looking for on a cold night. And thankfully, not loud so we were able to talk.

This bar/restaurant is just off the Financial District and a short walk from the Seaport shopping area. After having popped in for a drink earlier in the week we were impressed enough to return for some food. The service and friendly welcome is top notch. Genuine interest in us and helpful advice was greatfully received in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was fab, I had a pizza and my partner a chargrilled burger. The menu has a wide choice and is well priced. I don't think we've ever seen a cleaner bar and once again the staff were great.

Ryan Maguires has been a firm favourite in NY for a number of years as it has always been consistent and good service. On this occasion, the food really was not to the usual level and the service was very hit and miss. Disappointing, but we’ll be back!

Traditional pub grub. Burgers were delicious and restaurant was very clean. Nice staff and inexpensive. Great assortment on menu. Quick and clean

Beautifully appointed, laidback old American styled bar & restaurant. Great relaxed vibe in an intimate atmosphere. Great meals, extensive drinks menu featuring a good variety of draft beers and friendly efficient service. My wife ordered the grilled salmon with spinach in mustard sauce and I had the Texas burger. Both meals were absolutely delicious. My wife was raving about the delicate, creamy mustard sauce that was the perfect accompaniment for her salmon 🐟 My burger was cooked to perfection and was full of flavour. Our waitress was friendly & efficient and had the knack of being close when needed. The meals arrived without delay and presentation was spot on. Highly recommended for a romantic date or as a great venue for social gatherings or simply beers with the boys. Car park right next door or just down Fulton Street from the subway.

An authentic sports bar experience with great selection ton of beer and a very good reasonably priced menu. Service was excellent.
Great Value Irish bar (& Restaurant)
Nice menu, not hugely varied, but do daily specials adding to the variety. Great value, wholesome grub. Cheapest pint found in NYC yet at $4. Very happy. Will definitely return.
