Food was great, and we had amazing service from Cristian. Cristian really helped us have a special evening. Thank you STK!

We LOVED it!! My fiancé and I have heard so much about this place on Tik Tok so we wanted to give it a try. This place truly sets the standard for what fine dining should be. Wish we could’ve raved about this place sooner but we’ve had too much fun enjoying our NYC trip (oopsy, better late than never haha). Every course we had was mind blowing from the appetizers to the dessert. Of course the 2 cuts of steak we had were TO DIE FOR. Huge bow to the service staff because everyone was so professional and friendly. I felt like a true princess. We’re so happy to have came!!

Very beautiful location, excellent meat and music during dinner, Sergey our very friendly and helpful waiter! 😀

There is more disappointing than a high end steakhouse that fails to deliver a steak at the right temperature and not even close to tender. Poorly trained server did not help...asked any food allergies and we replied yes, no onions please so of course they served the corn garnished with chives. This place is overpriced even by NY standards. Hate writing a bad review but I suggest you stay away and choose a different option.

Tourist trap, service was extraordinary poor (had to wait for drinks for ages) and prices are very high. Steak (83 usd) was at best okay-ish but not why you’d go out for dinner. Be advised to go somewhere else as this was a disappointment. O yes: reason why it took so long according to the waiter is that there was a bachelorette party… as if that matters if you are charging 400 usd for two people.

This restaurant atmosphere is lively and the staff were friendly. We were visiting for my birthday. I ordered Steak and Lobster, with Uwami butter, my partner ordered Salmon. The dishes do not come with anything so we also had to order Sides of potatoes and veg. Add on a bottle of house wine and couple of beers. The bill came to $323 (without tip). I found this to be very expensive compared to the quality of the food. Dont get me wrong, my dish was nice, but not worth that money. Partners Salmon was 'OK'.

The food wasn’t tasty, stake and salmon was dry. Overpriced for the food they serve. Most of the tables were empty (21:00 to 23:00), not so nice atmosphere although The have gimmicks and DJ and the place looks nice. Don’t let you choose the tip, selects the max. We paid 280$ for couple and felt bed (stomach) afterwards.

Christmas dinner. Very nice environment with music and very good service. Stylish bar. Very good meat and average cellar.

I was planning my 60th birthday in Manhattan with my wife, adult daughters and 2-year-old granddaughter. I had heard about the STK happy hour from some others and decided it would be a good place to try. I called about a month in advance to make sure my granddaughter would be permitted at a table for happy hour and the hostess assured me we would be welcome. I then stopped by about 2 weeks before in person and was assured the same thing. Fast forward to my birthday, our party gets there at 3pm, they tell us that the happy hour is at the bar only and that my granddaughter can't sit at the bar. The main bar was full, and I asked the hostess if we could take the empty bar in the back and leave the child in the stroller and despite the bar being empty, they told me that they were not going to open it for a half hour trying to discourage us. We waited and after 30 minutes they still hadn't opened it. I asked to speak to the manager and explained that the only reason I came there was that I was assured that we could be accommodated with my granddaughter and possible sit at a table for the happy hour and despite the seating area being empty, the manager told us that it wasn't an option. After felling really unwelcome and uncomfortable, we Googled a nearby Irish Pub for happy hour and had a great time, with my granddaughter, who sat in a highchair and enjoyed our company the whole time. The rest of the birthday weekend was glorious and the following evening my granddaughter was additionally welcomed into Del Frisco's with open arms, and we all had a great time. So, while I can't speak to the food quality at STK, I can say the hostesses gave us bad initial information which led us on a wild goose chase to their happy hour and once there, the hostess or manager on site made us feel super awkward and uncomfortable. They could have easily seated us at a table in the otherwise empty restaurant if they were recanting the bar as an option and that would have been a better solution than to make us feel comfortable instead of making us wait over 30 minutes for an empty bar to open that they had no intentions of opening. I dealt with the manger and two hostesses, and each made us feel more and more uncomfortable and when multiple family members of mine pressed me that we were unwelcome, we left for happier faces and places.

The service in this restaurant ruins the ratings. I don’t know if they disliked us because we were tourists, but everything from the start was slowwwwwwwww. No cutlery was offered when the dishes arrived, no-one around to even order a fork from. Got up and got it ourselves. When our mains arrived, one dish wasn’t “available”….. we’ve run out, they said. I mean, waiting was bad enough so now we have to wait for the last dish to be served? Really shocking. The place is pretty but it ends there. When a waiter passed and we flagged him down, he said he can’t help: only our designated waiter could serve us. This is ridiculous. A pity such bad service because the food is good! Order the waygu burger. 10/10

We visited it the week of Christmas. Nice restaurant, American style. Huge space with loud music. We ordered a salad, two glasses of wine and two small potato puree fillets. One fillet was delicious the other moderate. We paid $245 for the meal and $45 for the waitress' tips. It's nice if you want to see American entertainment and feel a little bit of Carrie Bratzo.

Just too loud! This restaurant actually has a DJ. The music was so loud, I couldn't really talk to my friend, other than a few hard to hear lines here and there. I pointed at the menu to communicate with the waiter. I guessed at his responses. Ceaser salad was good but had too much dressing. Filet was perfect. Bread was yummy.

Omg. I have had good experiences here before BUT not tonight. Nightmare. Party of 10 and decided to put us at two tables of 5 - what???? Rudest waitress of all time. Said we had limited time at our table. I will never do big dinner there again. Remember you are only hot so long in NYC.

Great service from Jonah who took care of us, she was very attentive and made our experience very enjoyable. Would highly recommend

Extremely slow service. It took over an hour for 2 burgers to be served. I do not recommend. Waste of time.

My friends and i had an amazing dinner here. Kenny our waiter was an all star. His insite on the menu and steaks was excellent. Thanks Kenny. We will be back.

Visually very nice, contemporary, trying hard not to be like your fathers old steakhouse. But monkey business comes from the kitchen. Ceviche was literally a cucumber salad in a bowl, with a slice of avocado and literally only six teenie pieces of fish. We sent it back and the manager raced over to apologize. Maybe the chef just wiffed, but when the lobster Mac and cheese came, with only three Little pieces of lobster as big as the tip of your pinky, you feel violated. New York prices mind you, and instead of having a chef that over delivers, the distinct feel is they’re trying to slip one by you, knowing you’re probably a tourist and will never be back. Why would you go here when you can go to Keens, Luger‘s, or any of two dozen true, non-chain steakhouses in New York? Slippery chefs, not for me. Of course, if having a DJ play Ka-thunka ka-thunka music while you eat your steak it is important to you, this is your place.

We had a delicious dinner tonight! Kenny is very attentive, and anticipate all of our needs. We had birthday celebration and Kenny made the birthday boy like the only boy in the world. We will continue to come to STK for all of our family celebrations as long as Kenny continues to be our server. He is awesome and we appreciate the wonderful service.

We were recommended to this steakhouse by our hotel concierge. The decor is amazing but the music way too loud. Oyster rockefeller was different - I expected more for $44. Calamari starter was good. My $100 Cowgirl steak, $13 truffel butter (the size of a dime) and the $19 fries totally not worth the price. Service was very good. Not worth the cost.

If you’re over 30-40 years old, definitely not the right place. Food is not impressive and very very expensive. Music was not my cup of tea and so loud that your ears shout “Thank you “ when you go out. PS : at the attention of the waiters/waitress : 1- why were we not served your beautiful bread as you put on the other tables ? 2- not the best idea to put a fork to serve creamed spinach…. A spoon would have been better

Team steak night. 8 of us ate. The food was delicious and my filet was beautifully cooked. Service was typically “New York”. Was also like eating a good meal in a nightclub with the DJ thumping out some tunes, which meant having to shout to hold a conversation.

If I could give zero stars I would, the experience was atrocious. Mangers arguing with employees right in front of guest. We wanted to experience the outdoor dining with was a total distasteful experience. waiters kept breaking glass cups right by our table we had glass hitting our feet. We waited about 45 minutes to get our order taken. The meat was overcooked AND BURNT. The mac and cheese tasted like the cast iron pot once you got to the bottom. I will never go back here. This was a horrible experience especially on Mother's Day at that.

We had four nights in New York so planned some lovely meals before we left UK. This was at the top of the list as our son had eaten in the London STK. The restaurant is so nice. And we had a great little table for two but sadly our view was empty tables, a wall and an empty bar area. Would’ve been nice to have looked inwards at the restaurant. Our waiter was a really nice, very chatty guy. It wasn’t overly busy in there so he had the time to tell us his life history! He gave us a rundown of the menu including his “recommendations”. I think there’s definitely some forward planning here in the way he worded it as we followed his delicious sounding meal. He recommended a steak with some prawns and lobster. The way he described it (putting it all together and it makes it cheaper) proved to be a huge shock when the bill came. We paid for the steak - and the prawns - and the lobster. $100 dollars more than we had expected. Don’t get me wrong, it was great food. But no better than similar meals we’ve had elsewhere. You are definitely paying for what it is, where it is, and the overall ambience and style of the restaurant. It’s not a cheap place. We knew that and it didn’t matter. We were away on a lovely short holiday and we intended to make the most of it. But we did feel that we had fallen for good old sales patter and bought into his repertoire . We wouldn’t have ordered what we did. The bill even listed the price of the butters he melted over the top! Couldn’t fault his service though. He bought my dessert over with a sparkler (no birthday or celebration!). In summary this is a good restaurant if you want atmosphere. The DJ was playing good music, loud but not too loud. The decor is lovely. The food is reasonable but not 5* quality. And if I’m paying over $300 I expect 5*

The restaurant is a complete disaster! The waiters were completely annoyed and unfriendly. Apart from that, it is so loud that you can't hear your own voice.

A group of us came here for dinner one night and from the start, we were not thrilled. Evidently the business model here is to blast DJ music so loud that you will have difficulty hearing and having conversations at your table. Then there is the service. Maybe because we were an older group, and we were not 'hip' enough to be paid attention to. I lost count of how many different staff members introduced themselves and told us they would be on the ones taking care of us. The only saving grace was the food. It was very good. That is why the 2 star rating, otherwise I would have only given 1 Star) However, there was a big push to jack up the price of the bill. It appears the waiters' goal is to the "highly recommend" the specialty butters for each steak. The overpriced butter I might add. Finally, after our meal, we were asked to 'pass down our plates'. I guess it was too much for the waiter to come around and collect the plates. As for dessert that was a non-issue, since we were given our check without even being asked if we wanted dessert. I guess they really wanted us out of there. Glad they made our decision about desert for us, since we didn't want to spend any more money in this place any way. SKIP THIS PLACE. It's New York City, there are much better steakhouses, with great steaks, better service and better atmosphere than this place.

Had an amazing time here tonight. Have to say I love the staff from ania seating us to the two waiters Raheem and Katie. They were great.

First time here and staff was amazing. The bartenders and barback did an amazing job. They were able to handle the very busy bar with ease. Thank you Atom, Stephen & Steph for a more then amazing experience. Can not wait to come back!

Came to nyc for the week and have been waiting months to try STK. Loved the food and the throwbacks playlist. Also NOUMEIR took great care of my family! thank you STK

Coming to New York City for decades now we have developed a certain pattern of businesses that we like to go to and in terms of steakhouses over the years we really prefer the Benjamin franchise. But wanting something different this trip we tried STK Steakhouse in Midtown and is was very, very good. Their menu is very good and has a lot of the standard things that you would like. They have a very good selection of A5 Japanese Kobe beef and even had an A5 French Dip which I found interesting and I've never seen A5 offered like that before. They also offered A5 strip and filet steaks, filet being our preferred cut. I ended up having a Delmonico steak dry aged with Béarnaise sauce that was excellent and well prepared. My starter was a delectable Tuna Tartare that closely resembled Tuna Tartare offered at PLAE restaurant on Amelia Island years ago. Overall we had a very nice dinner and the price here was one of the more reasonably priced establishments in New York. Understand the price was lower because we finally ordered just one entrée to share and had wine by the glass which made a huge difference. As we enjoyed dinner it was not hard to notice this was not your heavily oaked dark interior NYC steakhouse. The interior was modern, sleek, with hip hop techno Budda bar music playing and we were the only guests over 40 having dinner. Our experience at STK confirms my earlier opinions developed in Paris France last summer that the new world of dinner in major cities has evolved to what I call young, hip, and quick. Did I mention from seating to leaving we were there for 1 hour, and truthfully did not feel rushed. The days of elegant Continental long dinners has passed in most places with the young favoring more casual and quick in and out kind of experience. For us as long as the food is exceptional we will be satisfied but will continue to search for those great old school experiences.

Still waithing since June 5th for a refund after spending 60 dollars on the phone from the UK and emailing to 3 contacts/managers with no replies this restaurant chain are a joke... they still owe us money after 5 months..??? charged us twice for the food then waited 3 months to refund the error then kept both sets of tips... disgusting still chasing with no replies..its theft - restaurant experience is true below not a jibe.. We were really looking forward to this ....but Steaks were average and service all over the place - vegatables very late after the meats arrived - and meat not cooked correctly - extremely expensive and wouldn't last 5 mins in London - waiter tried hard but far too busy to expereince any real service - 75 dollar tip as well? - Better places in NY I'm afraid, even hotel food would give this a run for its money... Over £100 a head for 7 of us without desserts with shared starters and not many alcohal drinks !

Abysmal experience at STK Midtown. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told we had to wait “near the Christmas tree” for our table, no indication of how long this would be and was given a buzzer/pager to stand with. We were only waiting 10 minutes however we found this unreasonable due to the fact we had a reservation for a certain time and were not told how long we’d have to wait. Eventually we were led through the length of the restaurant and seated at the back of the restaurant and looked at blankly when we tried to return the pager we had been given that wasn’t user. We had booked for the $69 steak night however were given main menus with no mention of the steak night deal. We asked about this and was told abruptly and reluctantly “yeah you can do that” - leaving us feeling cheap and embarrassed for asking for this deal. We were not offered a menu and instead had to get the menu up on our phone to order. Once ordered I headed to the toilet that I can only describe as one you’d find in a night club, dark, dingy and dirty. Water all over the floor, soap dispenser in the sink basin and a ?cleaning trolley in the corner. When the waiter eventually came over to pour us our Prosecco we ordered, he attempted to pour my partners drink into a glass that had water in the bottom, I had to stop him. These were served in wine glasses rather than flutes. We had ordered a bottle of water for the table and was asked multiple times if we wanted our glasses refilling as to “upsell” the water (we had read previous reviews warning us not to keep accepting refills as they would charge you for another bottle once you’d finished). My partner told another waiter “no” we didn’t not want a top up but he came over a second time and tried to fill our glass and we had tell him firmly no we didn’t not want our glass that was still half-full refilling! Wagyu slider starters were okay. However the New York strips arrived both overcooked and tasted burnt on the outside. We asked three different waiters for a refill of our Prosecco that was on ice and to be told passive aggressively “we’ve got issues downstairs at the moment” by the third( who may I add had been nastily talking to other waiters telling them loudly “it doesn’t take two people to dress a table”). This argumentative attitude was the final straw and we got up and left as we would have felt ridiculous paying for such an experience.

Steak was so salty , chips were cold sent them back , champagne was flat no bubbles !!! Very poor wouldn’t return , so expensive for not great food

The service was awful. For the prices Of this place, I would expect top Notch service , which it was not. Getting drinks took forever. Then when I ordered a beer (2). i couldn’t even get a glass. For $90 steak, i think a glass for my beer is appropriate. Never even ordered dessert because waiter never took our order Just awful service, way overpriced. Will never return

This was a poor experience. The waiter who was in the shiny sparkly shirt not sure his name was just after our money. He was trying to get us to order an expensive bottle of whispering angel when we asked for just a glass. z when ordering the steaks he was just recommending toppings which was adding to the bill. We were then charged our bill which he read out to be 300 dollars and 50 dollars with a tip. Which is just crazy. It was not worth the price and the service was very poor. Just wanted our money rather than make it an enjoyable meal.

Similar to an average chain ‘steakhouse.’ Not only were we disappointed with the food quality, the service was absolutely profane and distasteful.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful interior. Food good but nothing extra special for the cost. Large portions do share sides. Small main dishes for what you’re paying. Staff nice and friendly

We enjoyed some restaurants in New York. STK was unfortunately not one of the best experiences. The overpriced prices for the relatively small portions were not convincing. For 2 adults with 2 children without wine around 600 USD is rather hefty for what was offered. However, the quality of the food was very good. In addition, the party music was extremely loud, so that conversation was hardly possible. In addition, we found the arrangement of the tables rather uncomfortable, especially since they are usually placed next to an aisle. There are also good steakhouses in New York with reasonable prices. Admittedly, if you are looking for a hip restaurant with a party atmosphere, this is certainly the place for you.

I had planned a holiday dinner with 2 of my colleagues. As a Banker, I estimate that I dine out for lunch and dinner 50 times per year. My reservations were for a Tuesday night at 6:15. The restaurant check- in was terrible. The music blaring from the DJ was too loud and the hostess were terrible. The attitude and indifference to client experience was evident in their "what ever attitudes". I understand that NYC is difficult, but to be greeted by a "bouncer" who was handling "crowd control" was ghetto. Unfortunately, we were 20 minutes late, and the only tables available were outdoors in December! The heat lamps could not buffer the cold. Moreover, it took 10 minutes for a waiter to take our drink order. After 20 minutes of waiting for our drinks we left. This is an example of restaurant corporations selling on reputation and not caring about the customers. To STK management, a few suggestions: 1) don't be greedy and overbook when you don't have the staff to deliver good service, 2) Given your price point, dining clients are professionals and don't need a DJ nor a bouncer working the door, and 3) please train your hostess to make eye contact, show some professionalism, and remove the gum when greeting patrons. I am not sure if STK management will consider my comments , but I would tell any visitors or professionals to avoid STK Midtown.

Yeah I go along with many of the reviews - I know its the city that never sleeps but to have that loud thumping music isn't what you expect when you are paying high-end prices for food. My delmonico steak was $112 bucks and I just didn't feel it either tasted or was in an environment to think about the food as we were constantly disturbed by the loud sounds or people dancing as they sat at nearby tables. Our main server was nice but after a while we had 3 or 4 different servers. Definetly an experience but not one I care to repeat.

On Saturday 11th of March, we had reservation at 19:45 for a party of five. Upon our arrival the entrance was packed with people waiting and the reception made no comment on the waiting time. Security kept asking guests to move out of the way, but there was nowhere to go. We referred to the receptionist various times to ask when our table would be ready, but we were brushed off every time. At 20:30 the staff could still not give any commitment on when the table would be ready. Other guests which arrived before us were also still waiting, so we decided to leave. Cleary the staff were accustomed to the restaurant being completely overbooked and dealt with the guests unengaged and hard-nosed. We cant judge on the food, never made it that far, but no steak in the world is worth waiting for an hour. There are so many better choices in Manhattan.

The food was very good, and felt like a proper 'steak experience'. However, the service let the whole thing down. It started with drinks; a cocktail and a glass of prosecco. They took so long to arrive that we were most of the way through our starter. The old fashioned, at nearly $20 a glass, was one of the worst I have had at any high end establishment either side of the Atlantic. It certainly wasn't the twist on the classic the menu promised, and just tasted watered down and badly balanced. The prosecco had clearly been poured some time before, and had sat getting flat and warm long before it arrived. We had Oysters to start, and no plates were provided. A different waiter, spotting the problem after about 20 minutes (ours having simply vanished) brought us some out. Our steak then arrived, and the plates still took another 5 minutes to arrive for the mains, whilst the food sat and cooled between us. We didn't stay for dessert. It's not a cheap place, and you expect service commensurate with the cost of the experience. A (somewhat large) tip is expected as standard in the US which felt slightly egregious when, as a diner, plates are expected as standard. Whilst we can't fault the food, I would not recommend it.

I reckon this is perhaps my 3rd review ever, I simply felt compelled to share. Restaurant is worn out. Bathrooms are horrific. Food was appalling and service was flamboyantly embarrassing, How does this place get away with it? Shocking is an understatement - avoid at all costs.

Arrived for our table booking about 15 mins early after receiving a text telling us our table was ready. Told the hostess our name and time of booking and was told to wait, standing, to the right of where she was sat, and this was when our really poor evening commenced. After she checked her phone, spoke to her colleague and ruffled around a few menus, 3/4 minutes later she decided to show us to our seat, awfully kind of her. Restaurant was at max 50% capacity, but she managed to show us to the smallest table and most uncomfortable seat in the place. We’d specifically booked for the “date night menu” but it wasn’t given to us, so we had to ask for it. It felt painfully slow, but about 5 minutes later it arrived. Ordered our food and drinks. Mine (a beer) arrives about 10 mins later, my wife’s (bottle of fizz included in the menu) separately, a further 5 minutes later. There was ample bar staff and the bar wasn’t busy. Starter comes and honestly couldn’t complain, a huge Caesar salad and a shrimp cocktail with some massive shrimps, both were good. Ordered a glass of red in between courses to have with my steak. Main courses arrive. Fillet was shocking, think the £8.95 special steak and chips in a pub and it would have probably been better than whatever this was. The other steak, a NY strip loin was actually very tasty. Both steaks came with some sort of sauce in a pot, could have been bbq, could have been a red wine type sauce, unsure, but was pretty inedible all in all. Wasn’t offered any other condiments such as mustard or ketchup. Half way through my steak, 15 mins after ordering a glass of red wine and watching it sit on the bar, I had to ask for it to be brought over. Again, bar wasn’t understaffed and I think I counted 7 servers stood around not really doing a lot. I’ve never seen asparagus as big as what we were served, but it wasn’t properly cooked and really not good. The tater tots were ok, but came with a bizarre overly spicy sauce. Food was served by different food servers who I can only assume didn’t speak English as our food was simply dumped in front of us. We were not asked how our food was during the meal either. Food was cleared and after about 10 minutes we were told our desert would be another 5/10 minutes, the bag of doughnuts. They arrived. Cold. 2 out of 3 of the sauces were awful. Not sure what the delay was. We were going to stay and have a drink at the bar but decided to leave as we’d had such a poor experience. Overall, the food was average but the service was bad - very slow and an air of “we don’t care.” The place was generously staffed, so you couldn’t blame it on that. Really bad experience from a place we’ve considered going to several times in their various worldwide locations. Only saving grace was the “date night menu” at $69 each, resulting in a final bill of $180, which isn’t too bad for NYC. You can work out the tip value yourself. A gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing restaurant, but average food and really poor service, which I suspect will be its ultimate downfall especially in a place as competitive as NYC. The service was lacking in some real basics such as asking if we wanted any other sauces, checking if our food was ok, even just bringing 2 drinks at the same time was a challenge. Being made to stand like idiots before being shown to our seat did not set a good tone for the night. The restaurant simply has to be trading off the “Instagram” brand it seems to have established. We won’t be back.

Brandon Fernandez was fantastic from start to finish, attentive and knowledgable. Food was amazing, would highly recommend the fillet and lobster mac and cheese

The steak was very good, as was the bacon macaroni and cheese and the asparagus but the truffle fries were inedible! A horrible after taste and very strong smell. We came for dinner at 6pm and it was very busy (as you’d expect) but it was also very chaotic - when we arrived there was a backlog of people waiting to be seated and then the music was unbearably loud. Overall I wouldn’t go back - you can definitely get steak elsewhere with a better atmosphere.

As has been reported before, there is no mention of a DJ playing music at a ridiculous level which completely rules out any chance of normal conversation. Whilst the food was good, it was not outstanding. The service was slipshod at best, for instance, our Cocktail Glasses still sitting on the table when e had finished the meal. The Waiter tried very hard to upsell, however having tried to order two different bottles of French Red Wine to compliment our food, twice we had to be told they were not in stock, and by the second time, we were three quarters of the way through our Mains. The Waiter was charming, I will not fault is affability, simply the equality of his service which was lacking, and at this prices in unacceptable. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss.

We were recommended this place for dinner before we came but wasn’t really suitable for our teenage kids , it’s more of a couples/friends place as opposed to family. Food and service were good but for me the steak was over priced , I had the $114 porterhouse steak , although well presented it didn’t taste like a 100 dollar steak to me. All sides are extra $18 each, I think this is standard for this type of place in NYC, even so I thought a little excessive. Good place if you want to treat the wife but avoid if going with kids, they won’t appreciate it.

The service was superior, could not do enough for us. The food was cooked to perfection, and the wine complemented the meal.

The Caesar salad was a great start to our meal. The mac and cheese was creamy and covered with a crispy cheese crust. The steak was cooked to our liking. Our waiter provided wonderful service.

We booked this place as our special occasion meal while we were on holiday in NYC. We arrived and were seated promptly. Unfortunately we then had to wait ages to be served. It was surprising as there were so many staff members just stood around chatting with each other. We actually nearly left. Our food came at the same time as our bread appetiser which wasn't ideal. We had ordered main meals, which don't come with any sides, so we only ordered one between us at 19 dollars! The food was amazing, no denying that, but it was ridiculously expensive for what it was! The waitress was a bit off when we said we weren't ordering starters or dressers and only one side between us. She was polite without being friendly. They did give us the lid for the bottle of wine to take back to the hotel however, which was welcomed.

216$ for two stakes, two lemonade, water and two sides? Too much expencive, the quality of meat is mediocre, I asked for a medium cooking but it was too cooked , we had to eat outside because there was too much noise and loud music inside… never again.

I booked this restaurant for a business dinner with clients that came in from Hungary. There was a DJ which I didn't know about when booking. The music was too loud for you to talk to your guests. The ambiance was subpar as well as the food and service. I strongly suggest when looking for a business dinner that you do not consider STK.

STK is a lovely up market restaurant, they have created a lovely ambiance, the service is first class and the food is excellent but as you would expect this comes with a higher than average cost, our bill was $700 for 6 mains 3 sides and 2 desserts along with a few drinks, not cheap but given the quality of the food and the overall experience I’d say it was worth it and would gladly recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Over priced terrible food poor service. And rip off prices. Do yourself a favour AVOID AVOID AVOID. I would never ever want to set foot in this place again. Shocking.

Nice restaurant in Chelsea. Besides the meats, the restaurant includes good salad options, but the great attraction is the view. Worth a lunch/dinner. It is essential to confirm the opening hours before going. It does not always agree with what is available on the platforms.

What a wonderful recommendation we had from a friend! This was a great spot and completely satisfied our steak craving in NYC! To top it all off we had Lorena who was an amazing host! She looked after us and made sure we had the best evening!! She is a credit to this restaurant, vibrant and considerate. Thank you Lorena x

Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere but ultra-noisy.A very smiling and competent waitress, however our dishes were very average and SUPER expensive.food in New York is very expensive overall but there are records....the choice is not lacking elsewhere,so disappointed to have made this experience!!! Value for money zero Award

Ordered the very expansive Tomahawk steak /seafood platter. The asparagus was cold, shrimp cold, crab so lemony couldn't eat it,.mashed potatoes warm. For $500. It should have been perfect.

I'll keep it brief - I had high hopes for a good business lunch, having eaten at other STK restaurants. That did not happen. The "Power Lunch" started well with a pretty good iceberg wedge, but quickly went downhill when the steak frites arrived. The "8 ounce ribeye" was a pitiful little piece of meat served alone on a white plate. This works when an big impressive steak is on the plate, but not when it's a wimpy quarter-inch thick steak. It barely qualified as a steak, and not a well trimmed one, at that. I had to pick around the fat and gristle. I went to take refuge in the frites, but found soggy, limp fries, instead. The space is very appealing, and the location is great, but I won't be going back for the food.

Terrible service. Served our steak without steak knives and sides without spoons. Server disappeared and other servers would not assist. Asked to speak with a manager but he never showed. Better steaks and service can be found somewhere else.

Visited for lunch on 23rd December and it was a lovely experience. I can't remember the name of our waiter but he was attentive without being intrusive, we ordered off the lunch menu which we found to be excellent value for money. Our steaks were all cooked perfectly and our meals were hot, my daughter and I shared a cookie dough dessert which was divine. I would highly recommend eating here if you're in the area.

Terrible value for the prices you charge. Waiter was unfamiliar with the menu and unable to identify where a NY Strip stems from. Ceaser salad was over dressed. Overcharged at the end of the meal as well and when I reported the manager I got major attitude. No silverware provided and had to ask 3 times. French fries were cold and not cooked well. Would not reccomend.

This is the place where Midtowns ordinary young people come after work for delicious drinks and discounted appetizers. Great atmosphere with a live DJ....he was slightly too loud but music selection great. The restaurant falls short. Overpriced and boring menu. Steak special with crab on top ran $112.00 bucks. The waiter should have said something so that people aren't shocked. Surf and Turf comes with brazilian lobster as in NOT from Maine. This is a joke and not worthy of such an expensive steak house. Tater tots excellent, masked potatoes excellent. Brussel sprouts were overpowered by bacon flavor.

This place sucks. We were seated one hour past our reservation outside with one heater. Drink are average, service is slow, steaks were over-cooked and sides were cold.

A good restaurant...nothing exceptional...unstable type environment.....appropriate service, but not very friendly. Prices within the average for the type of restaurant. I don't know if I'd come back.

Not good. The service was okay but the food was just awful - I can cook better at home! Ribeye steak was tough and dry, I’d say not a ribeye. Overcooked and very expensive! The peppercorn sauce was the worst I’ve ever had. It was cold and in what tomato ketchup would be served in. Weird and wrong. Sides were okay I guess and the atmosphere wasn’t very comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend or come back.

Kenny our waiter was absolutely amazing! From friendly and funny conversation, to the best recommendations. The music and ambiance was super dope as well. I can’t wait to go back asap. Awesome time & amazing food!

I have been eating here for years, but I'm done. A lot of restaurants have cut costs since the pandemic, but this restaurant has taken it to a new, awful level. Their burger says wagyu. It's not, it's a frozen patty. That'sa lie and that's really bad. But worse is that they used to serve fresh cut tuna tartare with avocado for $20 and it was great. Then they cut the portion size in half. Now it costs $29 for a tiny portion. Ok...but THEN they stopped using fresh tuna and put out an embarrassing mound of frozen tuna with ice crystals in the tuna on the plate. The portion even got smaller. They brought me out a new one and the tuna was freezer burned. Embarrassing. Cutting corners to this degree is very bad. The person next to me got a "6 ounce filet". It was maybe 3 or 4 ounces. Just bad business. Too bad. Used to be good. No wonder their managers and wait staff are leaving in droves.

Walked in with a reservation and was told to “stand over there.” Apparently reservations don’t mean anything. The techno-disco was SO LOUD, we couldn’t hear each other. My god, who goes to a steakhouse for blaring music? It was supposed to be a romantic evening for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday. We could not have talked to each other throughout the dinner over the music. We walked out. Won’t be back.

I was there to have a great dinner with my wife and try the Surf & Turf together with a bottle of Prosecco. We were so disapointed of the service and the food. Burned meat, and too well done lobster. We didn’t get a cooler to the Prosecco bottle, they served the Prossecco in different sizes on the glasses. Maybe it’s my fault.. I was so surprised and speachless, so we didn’t complian, just skipped the desert, asked for the bill and payed 400USD.

Had an incredible dinner at STK with friends! The steaks were cooked to perfection, sides like truffle mac & cheese were delicious, and the atmosphere was upscale yet fun. Service was top-notch and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!l

We had company outing for 8 people in mid town STK. We regularly visit steak houses and upscale restaurants. This was worst experience we had in years and we would never go back and don’t recommend to anyone who wants good steak in NYC. Here reasons why: 1. They play music so loud that not only we could hear waiter, can barely hear person sitting next to you. When we asked if music can be lowered or we can be moved, arrogant answer was it’s loud everywhere and they don’t lower sound for anyone. If we wanted to go to dancing club, music sound would be appropriate, not for expensive steak dinner. 2. They sit us in the small round table, where we can barely move hands. 3. Waiter recommended aged porterhouse instead of fillet. It come out dry and over cooked. 4. When we come in, 7 people where in and they made us wait in busy area for final person who was stuck in traffic and didn’t want to sit us. 5. Service was mediocre and felt rushed. Absolutely no class. We couldn’t wait to get out.

Jonah was absolutely amazing, she handled my allergy great and I felt so comfortable. I couldn’t be more grateful for her service, she is a gem.

Came back here tonight for my five year anniversary and they ruined ANOTHER occasion. DO NOT come here. They are awful and probably the worst steakhouse I have been to. We were seated near the door which, had a firepit that made me (and the woman next to me) think our heads were on fire. I asked to move but they said no and turned off the fire. Also tough, because then it was pretty cold. I ordered the filet 10oz medium and boy did they get it wrong. It came out charred on the outside (and tasted like it) and was medium rare at best on the inside - HOW does that happen. By the time I received my steak, over 20 mins, the sides were lukewarm and my fiancé nearly finished his food. We did not even eat our anniversary dinner together SMH. I packed it up almost immediately because I lost my appetite. Lastly and notably the WORST customer service as far as management. Our waitress was great and felt bad but once we got the bill we noticed they charged us for the filet TWICE. The manager on duty told us that for the kitchen error they took the filet off. Apparently, it's only for the WRONG filet, but since they gave me a new one that I packed, they charged it. How does that rectify my SECOND horrible experience? Why even mentioned you took it off the bill? What were they going to do, charge me for a steak they cooked awfully!? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. DO NOT COME HERE. The only thing they have going is nice ambiance and tunes while you wait for your food to barely come. And for the record, management who commented that they would be in touch (on Yelps first review) to discuss never even reached out; they do not care. Last year 4/2023 I had a 9:30 reservation for my birthday and didnt get seated until 10:50pm and mediocre food at midnight. It is clear from their generic unapologetic attitude, they do not care.

The lunch special is a dream. The wagyu burger is unbeatable 🤩 and the fillet is also top quality. The service is really nice and attentive. My New York Midtown recommendation.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! What a disappointment this experience was. After some good recommendations but poor reviews how could it be so bad? Well, on the positive was the impressive interior. But that’s it. We arrived to find a DJ BLASTING out music more suitable for a nightclub. It way to loud to be played in a restaurant with everyone shouting at each other to be able to talk to each over the music. The menu was extortionately overpriced and the food average verging on the inedible. Our steaks were ordered to be cooked medium and were basically raw to rare in the middle and totally cremated and crunchy with black soot on the outside. The sides of Parmesan truffle fries were so strong in flavour and salty that were totally inedible as was the creamed spinach. Smothered in salty string flavoured Parmesan cheese sauce; again totally inedible. We complained to the manager on duty and refused to pay for the food. The wine was good, again over priced for what it was and even had a massive service charge added. So basically $133 for just a couple of glasses of wine. This place is supposed to be a high end steak restaurant. If they cannot not get a steak cooked correctly then they have little hope of success. The ambience was dreadful, food inedible and wine and drinks massively overpriced. I would urge anyone to NEVER consider this place. There are much better places to get a good steak in NYC. I would give this ZERO stars out of 5 if I could!

Very noisy and fairly abrupt staff - but it's NYC! The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait for our table, there is nowhere to wait so you are constantly in someone's way. We were shown to the wrong table and then swiftly returned to reception - no explanation or apology. Dinner was good but not great and pricey at over $600 for 4. We couldn't talk to our friends it was too loud, eventually they did turn the music down, even the Manager agreed it was too loud! It was also very warm in the restaurant. Service was slow and the facilities filthy. We did let Management know of our concerns at the time, she listened sweetly!

Very loud and modern experience. The food was good and our server was very pleasant. The front desk staff were obnoxious and arrogant; they presented an attitude as if they were doing you a favor by granting you time. Overpriced.

I was just in Las Vegas and had a great experience at the STK there and was so excited to take a friend to the Midtown location before our show. We were concerned about the the time so we decided to just order a drink and appetizers. The person who took our order was told of our situation. We asked for an appetizer to share and caesar salads. The server asked if we wanted chicken, shrimp or steak on our salad. We said steak. My caesar salad came but with no steak on it and It was completely soaked with dressing. The server said he would replace the salad dry and give me the dressing on the side. A little while later a nice woman brought me a new salad with a side dressing. She apologized and said she tasted my salad and could not believe how soaked it was. When I tasted the new salad, however, it already had dressing on it. Also soaked. Meantime the server brought a steak to both my friend and I. A very small round steak. We thought maybe because they forgot to put it on our salads. At this point we had to catch the show so we had to wrap up our food. We kept asking for the check over and over. When it finally arrived it was over $400 . For appetizers. We had no time to speak to a manager because we had show tickets. Horrible Experience.

Don’t go.. there are better dining options in NY. First of all the waiter was so keen and obsessed in upselling and didnt care about the service quality. The atmosphere was distracting and the waiter was distracted that they kept bringing us the wrong food, and our food going the wrong table.. We ordered bottle of red wine but the waiter again forgot about it and kept offering cocktail drinks instead. When we told him that, he made excuse that he did it on purpose so that the wine could be together with the steak.. but the steak was actually on the table already… Porterhouse steak was mediocre and that was the only non-negative thing I can say. Shrimp was 12 dollars for one single tiny shrimp side and was really pissed when the waiter didnt even bring it with the steak. Later he brought the two shrimps on a long dish used to plate steaks, and it looked like leftover food. He totally forgot about it obviously but pretended he brought it out later intentionally in our favor. Making excuses was really lame. Truffle butter and lobster butter should NOT be on the menu as they have absolutely no flavor. Corn pudding bad. Cream spinach really salty. Oysters not bad but you cant go wrong with oysters. We paid over 600 dollars and plus had to tip 20% for poor service. We decided to not have dessert because we were just really pissed with the overall quality. The restaurant seems to target younger ppl who like the lounge club atmosphere but that’s all it offers. I would never revisit.

DO NOT GO. My girlfriend and I heard wonderful things about this place, so we booked it for our anniversary dinner. We are from RI and go to NYC yearly. Well, we got there and the place was mobbed. You could not move or breathe. I had an 8:15 reservation. We arrived at 8:12pm and were told to "walk all the way to the back bar and wait." When I asked why we were waiting the hostess chuckled and said there was a very long wait. This is super confusing seeing as that is the point of making a reservation- to avoid waiting? As we shoved our way through this clearly overpacked restaurant, we began to see literally hundreds of people waiting in random areas of the restaurant. Poor people were sitting at tables in the middle of walking areas being bumped and banged around. The ambiance appeared pretty with back lighting, but I truly couldn't tell you what it looked like because it was SO busy. We attempted to reach a bar to get a drink while waiting and could not. We talked to over 4 couples, who each reported that they were sat an hour and a half past their reservation time. By 8:30pm, my boyfriend and I left seeing as there appeared to be no indication of when we would sit. Even if we were to be sat, we would not have enjoyed it because it was so busy. I don't understand why this is allowed to happen? Last year, this place was booked solid. So solid I booked this reservation MONTHS in advance. When we go, there are tons of open time slots on open table but absolutely no where to go in the restaurant. Check open table for numerous reviews similar to mine. Due to us leaving, open table will not allow me to leave a review.

Oh wow, what a vibe and experience! Let me tell you, this was absolutely the best of the best! Just starting with the decor and atmosphere, I was floored! My next thought? What if this place is all polish and the food is awful? Well, no worries because the food was perfectly cooked, the waitress (Marlene) was exceptional and our evening of “girl trash talk time” was splendid! It was worth the $550 and we will definitely go back!

Came here with a friend a was served by Servey. He was a fantastic host. We had a blast. I will visit again.

Happy hour at STK is always great! The hostesses are amazing, so friendly. Our server Nicole made our evening. The food is great! What more do you need? Can’t wait to come back again.

Although the setting is lovely on the eyes, nothing else matched the standard of the decor. The wait staff were indifferent, inattentive & overall sounded miserable to be at work. How do I know this you ask? Well our table was directly in front of where they stood and their conversations were loud enough to hear even though we wished we couldn't. The food looked pretty on the plate, and the serving size was decent but in all, nothing special to warrant the price. It was at best, a touch above average. Nothing to come back for that's for sure

We made a reservation for 8pm. Waiting line was over 2hours even though we made a reservation. They let anybody in that was in line even without a reservation. We left because the waiting time was absurd. REALLY not okay, even more because it was christmas day. Bad bad bad review from us, that’s for sure.

They need to decide whether they want to be a loud disco or a fine steak house. They're neither. Terrible atmosphere, steak was fine, but lobster tail overcooked and dry. Seating is ridiculous, round couches for 6+ people. Felt like we were watching a show at a casino. Worst dining experience we've ever had in NYC. Go to The Grill, Royal 35, Gallaghers, Benjamin, or Delmonico. Run from this place.

It's worth visiting, I went with friends, we stayed in a private place, and it was great. Very good food, adequate service and great location.

This place is close to everything and the decor is beautiful. Once seated, NOUMEIR took great care of us. We loved all his suggestions and recommendations. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!!

Great music great vibe good food and drinks Very good service particularly from Arton! Nice atmosphere!

We came to STK for drinks and appetizers, hoping for a nice evening, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. From the moment we approached the bar, the bartender ignored us completely as he was preoccupied with his girlfriend, who was sitting there. To make matters worse, his girlfriend refused to move one seat over to make space for the three of us. When we adjusted one of the chairs ourselves to sit closer to the bar, she caused a scene, making us feel uncomfortable. She appeared to be very drunk and then spilled her drink onto a barstool intentionally so we couldn’t sit there. When we asked the bartender to clean up after her, he ignored our request. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect was shocking. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and we won’t be returning. STK needs to ensure their staff maintain professionalism and prioritize their paying customers.

Expensive but you get your money's worth everything is very good!! This is the best restaurant quw I have eaten a time square

an address that I recommend, the meat is delicious and the service impeccable not to be missed if you are in the area, thank you

Went here with my mother and it was a great night out Simple menu but does it very well I enjoyed the dessert set up they offered

Well below par for a high end restaurant. Meat quality (Filet and NY Steak) very poor. Had to ask for side dish 2 times and the sauce was deliberately changed by the waiter who said that he does it when 2 customers order the same sauce, like if one who want to eat the same as another is stupid!!!

Where to start.. When we arrived, the queue out the door seemed to be a good sign. Really, it's because there is no space inside the door for potential patrons to wait to be seated. While we waited outside, a doorman gave us each a wristband. It really was like entering a nightclub. You immediately get hit with how loud the music is - there is a DJ playing live Hip hop non-stop. The restaurant is large, in terms of ceiling height. Floor space, not so much. We were seated at unstable tables that were set up in the middle of the floor in between actual restaurant tables. Our table was actually 2 small tables placed together with a white tablecloth over it. When placing our drinks back on the table, we had to be careful not so place them on the crevice that had formed between the 2 tables.. We were served by 2 waiting staff, which meant that they did not know what was going on with our orders/requests. One of the waiting staff barely said 2 words to us outside of taking our orders. 2 of our party ordered a bottle of wine which was curiously not left on the table. They repeatedly had to ask for the waiter to give them a top up, of course this took ages as he had to go off and fetch the bottle. They crammed in as many tables and patrons as possible, and the staff cannot keep up with it. The steaks were nice. I mean, it was steak so it's hard to really get it really wrong. The sauces we chose were alright and the sides were good. However, it was way overpriced for the food and the service we received.

Top Notch! Louis was a fantastic server. Attentive, knowledgeable, and had a great attitude and smile. The little things go a long way these days. Started with the Shellfish platter, it was decadent. Lots of options. Portion size was huge. We are from MD, and eating seafood out of state is always taking a risk. It was worth it. All of us had the NY Strip ($64) each with a different topping. Every STK was grilled to perfection. So tender, full of flavor. The sides ($18 ea) are family-style. The tater tots were huge and brussels sprouts were perfection! We were able to sit outside so we lucked out. Inside was certainly a party atmosphere. VERY LOUD!!

An unforgettable experience. Our waiter Kenny made the best suggestions. He was very attentive. I would absolutely come back. 10/10 recommend.

Had a 7:30 reservation on a Wednesday. At 8:00 pm I asked when we’d be seated. Response was 12 tables ahead of us - probably about hour to be seated. Horrific service. I asked if they’d comp free drinks while we wait. STK had nothing to offer. Sucky service. Avoid this place

Ooomphf. Don’t be fooled by the swanky name and decor. STK has sadly become a mainstream “steakhouse” akin to Outback Steakhouse. Ended up at this location for a company lunch meeting. My steak was $90 and looked and tasted like a $10 Lidl/Aldi steak. It was ghastly to put it lightly. To make matters worse, my steak came out 20 minutes after everyone else’s food. Next time I’ll sway the company to go elsewhere, yuck! The manager really needs to get it together.

First, the service was shocking. It took nearly 10 minutes just to get our drink ordered even at the bar, and had to wait 40 minutes to sit down even though we had booked a reservation. Worse, the attitude of the staff was shockingly rude. When asking how long the wait was after 40 mins I was met with visible annoyance, as if we were inconveniencing them. At one point, one of the staff rolled their eyes when we asked for how long it would be! instead of offering an apology or solution. Avoid STK Midtown if you value good service or a pleasant dining atmosphere!

This place is the Best Restaurant we have ever Experienced. Not cheap, but the Best Vibe we have ever Encountered. The Food is Exceptional, the Steaks cooked exactly as ordered and the Cocktails are the best. House DJ plays the coolest tunes and we were treated like royalty by the outstanding Staff. WOW is all I can say.

Found the restaurants ambiance when you walked in very friendly and we were seated right away. Our waiter Sergi was very informative with the menu and my husband and i picked what he recommended and we weren't disappointed. The steaks, Truffle sauce and sides were delicious. Sergi was very attentive throughout our meal filling up our water and prosecco whenever it was low. We will def be back the next time we visit New York for sure.

Although the food was nice / firstly we had a table that the top of it moved around like a record player which wasn’t ideal - we then waited an hour for 1 drink yes 1 hour !!!! Once moved we was then asked do we need more time to read the menu ?? Errhh no I know the menu off by heart / our 2nd waiter was great tbh but the experience and damage was already done ( we then got a bill for $250 + tip very expensive for what the night provided. In a nutshell the food was nice but the experience we had wasn’t great had better at a local food chain. Kind of out me off my food. Very disappointed

One of the worst and most overpriced restaurants we have been. I ordered a ribye which cost 120 and my expectation were really high but instead the outcome was below average to sh*t. Some starters were good, although everything fish related i cant describe how bad it was. The service so bad and there was a pressure to order quick etc which i did not like and expect from such a place. The vibe music and the setting 6/10. I have been at good restaurants and this is surely far away from what i expected paying 230 per person without drinks and with little to no food. I hope someone had informed me about it, i would 100% avoid it.

I came here for a birthday celebration and had a great customer service experience thanks to Kenny. Our reservation was canceled and we had to sit outside but he managed to get us inside when it was extremely hot out. If you’re looking to go to STK midtown make sure you request Kenny!

Had business lunch here. Good food. And really great expansive high ceiling dining. The ambiance is top notch and in my opinion, this place is a better option for drinks.

Disgraceful. Came here for my wife's borthday. Arrived for table at 7 an hour later still waiting along woth 50 plus other people. Told 4 tables in front of us and could be 30 mins or another hour. Only for finding a gem around the corner would have ruined our trip. Won't even bother booking here again

Really? You can even talk and ask for service. Not recommend at all if you are coming to hace a pleasant dinner in family.

STK Steakhouse Midtown NYC is a nightclub masquerading as a restaurant. I don't mean that in a bad way at all. There's an incredible vibe going on at this place with a really good DJ and lots of energy. The crowd is young, and chic and the food isn't bad either! I started with a Belvedere dry martini, which came pretty quickly. It was disappointingly weak. I would have normally had two but it wasn't worth it here. We started with one of the best tuna tartare I have ever eaten. The soy sauce was savory but not too salty and the tuna to avocado proportion was spot on. The bone in Rib Eye at $101 was not the best I've ever had but it was still good. I had to as for a special order of onions as they aren't on the menu. What steak place doesn't also have sauteed onions? That being said the Sea Bass with Bok choy was absolutely delicious. The side of asparagus was ok, but a little bland. The Bonanza cab was really nice for an $18/glass wine. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. At 10pm. they had 'shot o clock' with free shots. The whole staff danced through the restaurant with sparklers while the DJ dropped the beat. Overall, the food was ok, but the atmosphere was worth coming for.

It's my birthday month and I plan to celebrate all April long. STK got things started off correctly with a great service experience, ambience, and excellent food. Highly recommend. Wonderful hostess and waitstaff service on Sunday. Food was well prepared and presented. Truly enjoyed it! Will be back.

Dinner at STK was top-notch! We got the $69 dinner for two, and it was worth every penny. The wagyu sliders and shrimp cocktail started things off perfectly. The New York strip steak and Chilean seabass were amazing, and the sides—corn pudding and asparagus—tied it all together. Add a bottle of champagne and some drinks, and it was a full-on feast! Our server, Lorena, was fantastic. She made sure everything was perfect and kept the energy up all night. Between the DJ, the holiday decor, and the overall vibe, the atmosphere was incredible. Can’t wait to come back!

We travelled to NYC for NYE and made reservations for STK on Saturday night. The atmosphere was great and we got sat pretty quickly, though did have to sit and wait despite having the reservation. I wanted to order the shellfish platter but had to order everything at once. So ordered a shellfish platter for two followed by three steaks, one for myself, my wife, and my son. My son loves crab legs, and being from near the ocean we have them often. The Shellfish Platter lists Dungeness crab, and I fully expected crab meat, maybe a claw or two. The Dungeness crab came as a type of crab salad with green onion and capers mixed in with crostinis. I had to add king crab legs at market price to get crab legs. Each steak came out one temp lower than we ordered, my son ordered medium and his was very red in the middle, perhaps maybe even rare. Wife and I both ordered medium rare and got rare steaks. Time between drink rounds was very long. For over $600 you should get what you ordered.

I got doordash from this restaurant. Service was terrible, at first I called to try to get delivery to the Andaz hotel (2 blocks away). 10 minutes later after being on the phone waiting for the server to take my order he then says, we can’t deliver to this location. I was furious, 10:30pm at night. My food then arrived from doordash and both burgers had cheese on it. It specifically says on the recipe “no cheese”. The restaurant messes this up and my daughter was starving all night. The other burger for me was good but terrible experience overall.

very expensive without a reason . the atmosphere is good the food is good in the center of Manhattan New York nice location

STK Steakhouse was for me a very pleasant experience. I booked on the same night for a table and found it straight away, just needed to wait a few minutes outside while the table was getting ready. The place was certainly busy, loud music too, but at the same time it was a good experience. The waiter was very helpful and attentive, the steaks we picked were amazingly cooked. The side dishes too. The restaurant is absolutely overpriced as per others' comments.

Sibila was really nice with us. Great moment in this restaurant i recommend this place. The light and the music it’s the perfect place to be with your friends !

The food was lovely. The service was on the whole terrible, especially considering the price. We were not asked if we would like drinks before being asked to order our food. Table was cleared of main course whilst a couple of party were still eating and a side dish removed that hadn’t been finished. Whilst poring water the waiter spilt this into a glass of beer - no apology. A pile of dishes nearly dropped on one of the party - no apology. Won’t be visiting again.

I was burned by an exposed light bulb in the bathroom at the Midtown location over the weekend on 9/30. It was my friends bday and when I brought this situation up to management and asked for ointment from the first aid kit, I was told there were no first aid kits on site and offered a bandaid. No recovery what so ever was done to improve my experience here, my server even forgot my friend’s bday and ruined the surprise for her dessert. I sat in pain for hours, and ended up paying for an overpriced food and an experience where I was terribly scared. I brought the situation up 3 times before I left the restaurant. I even tried to reach out to cooperate about the light fixture and no responses. DO NOT EAT AT STK! They do not care about the guest’s experience, and you may end up scared for life!

Not recommended place, rude staff with little foresight towards those who have bambini..co are many nice places to dine in New York .. this is not one of those. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I recently dined at NewYork Midtown Steakhouse with a friend, and I can't say enough good things about our experience! The service was truly awesome, and the Lobster Linguine I had was the best I've eaten in New York. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant every time I’m in the city. Highly recommend!

For a lively fun night out this place was good - dj , lighting, serving staff with free shots Not really a business venue in the evening Steak was great Side of asparagus very good - but at 20 dollars it should have been The website does not show menu prices - the menu from last night attached Expensive but cheaper than a Mortons or Ruth Chris in NY Staff and service good

Decided to stop in for dinner and drinks while there visiting. Lively spot with great food (steak was amazing) and drinks. Will be back again!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. Walked in without a reservation. The whole experience was terrible. * Food - started with jalapeno shrimp cocktail, which was very good. Then everything went downhill. Ordered a strip steak, medium rare, and tater tots. The steak came out raw! * Service - Our server was nowhere to be found. After about 10 minutes, we asked someone to track down our server. When she came, she shrugged and took it away. The plate came back 15 minutes later as shoe leather. The meat was now inedible. Response: too bad. * Ambiance - there was a live DJ and the music got louder and louder as the night progressed, making conversation over dinner impossible. With so many good steakhouses in the area, give STK a hard pass.

I had made a booking from the uk 2 months before our visit and arrived to a very busy and noisy restaurant 15 mins before our booking. After people had been seated that had booking times after ours, i asked several times if we had been missed. Still no table and no one rechecked our time or name!! When i approached the person in charge at the 3rd attempt to get a table, i was immediately shown to an empty table even though there was no reason for being overlooked, just incompetence. It ruined our night as i was so annoyed at their lack of care. Maybe because we were not on a business account or we were not important enough to them. The saving of the meal was the lovely waiter who gave us good service. I would not recommend as i am sure there are less pretentious steak restaurants in midtown who care for their customers

My wife and I recently enjoyed a dinner at STK Midtown during NYC Fashion Week. We met another couple there and everyone had a great time. Our server was super, the food perfect, and the drinks were on point. I see people complaining about the noise, it's an STK, it's what they are known for, a "party/dance" atmosphere. If you don't feel like hearing music, and celebrating, then don't go to an STK. We had a blast and loved everything about this place, and we are in our 50's! :)

Awesome service and recommendations by our waiter. Solid choices were made. We celebrated my friends bday and Lunick was just admirable.

We visited during restaurant week and ordered two set menus at $60 each (with a couple of supplementary add ons) 2 glasses of wine and 1 mocktail. That meal has currently cost us around $600. This is because when they take payment it is completed on an electronic device with payment pre loaded and no visible it's list. Our waiter brought ours to us which cost roughly $380. We thought this seemed a lot for what we had but thought with tip and tax etc it must add up. Our waiter left us with the device whilst we paid and we were given an option to print receipt. We wanted to see this to check it was correct so pressed this and got a message our server would bring the receipt over. After waiting about 5 minutes we asked the reception if someone was bringing it over. They seemed very confused and a Manager came out to ask what was wrong. We explained we were waiting for a receipt and she went to the back and returned with one. We left the restaurant and realised the receipt given was not anything we ordered and was also around $240. We went back in where everyone seemed very confused as to what had happened and it then transpired we had paid a different tables bill (for a different waiter) and were eventually given our correct receipt for $247. The restaurant asked us to pay our bill again which we obliged to and even added cash tip on again as before this error, service had been good and the Manager stated when we received refund for the payment error that would also include tip that we had already paid on card. We were relieved to be called later that night by the Manager to say it had been void and payment would be returned in a few days. Nearly 3 weeks later we have not had a refund and continue to chase up. We aren't even able to raise with our bank as restaurant took back the receipts to raise with their finance team. No comments on food or experience until this is resolved but will say it was not worth $600.

It is not the first time I visited this restaurant but this one was disappointing. Food was not too salted, portions on the power lunch menu were tiny tiny, and a dessert was two small chocolate chip cookies wrapped in plastic!! Very disappointing.

Disappointed. Rude server. She was distracted & made several errors with order. She had a poor attitude and was non apologetic for her lack of service skills. There are many choices. Please make a better choice than this overrated restaurant.

This was a complete bust of an evening. We were seated close to the door right next to a large table of women celebrating a birthday. We knew immediately that they were going to loud. And they were. Shrieking with laughter and throwing back drinks. Our waiter started off alright by steering us away from a drink that he says gets sent back all the time. It did make me wonder why the menu included a $21 drink that everyone knows is bad. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. My daughter had the sliders which were two of the smallest little burgers you could imagine ($24). We ordered a side of tater tots for the table and were told those won't be enough to share with the kids because there are only 7 of them ($18). They turned out be bland and boring. My son had the 10oz filet and not only was it completely unseasoned, it was a closer to rare than the medium he ordered. I order the 6oz filet which was actually seasoned well but overcooked. Thankfully, I gave my over cooked steak to my son and I at the rarest part of his steak. We got another side of parmesan french fries and I swore they were made of yuka they were so hard and firm. I would love to have asked our waiter for salt but he was so focused on the table of ladies, we didn't even exist. Oh...and there is a DJ at this place. The restaurant is lost trying to find an identity and no self-respecting NYer would dare step in this place. This is trap for tourists and bridge and tunnel folks. Oh ya....our bill was over $400. So there's that too.

Awful service, staff rude and not interested dreadful experience and over priced for average food! Avoid at all costs not worth the money!

This restaurant has a nice appearance from a distance, but it probably could use a thorough cleaning, based upon closer inspection. The bathroom had a funky smell to it, which only added to that impression. The food was good but not great. Since we were there for brunch, the chef could learn how to prepare a pancake. It had the texture of a sponge that did not want to give away any of its parts. The service was good.

We had reservations while we were in town for Christmas. And while at the restaurant we spent over a hour and half on the phone with American Airlines cause they screwed up our flights. So we could not truly enjoy this amazing restaurant and dinner. The waiter Matthew and manager Quinn took extremely good care of us after learning what we were dealing with on the phone with AA. They went over and beyond customer service! I can not say enough about the staff here and especially Matthew and Quinn! We will most definitely be back and request Matthew as our waiter. He was a blast and so funny! They even brought us a heater for outside cause it was so cold!

Absolutely worst experience for dining I’ve ever had!! Booked for my husband’s birthday. Arrived for our reservation, waited 30 mins to be rudely told that there were ‘7 other tables before us’. When I asked why take a reservation for a certain time, annoyed that we had waited 30mins and was asked to wait essentially another hour - by the way, by standing to the side of the bar with zero service - I was pretty much laughed at and told that other people before us were the priority and to suck it up. We left after this - neither wanting to wait or give them any money for poor service before we had even eaten! When I complained on my way out at the appalling service, was advised by the 2 girls on the front desk to ‘have a nice night’ and then they laughed. They ruined what should have been a lovely birthday for my husband due to their rude and quite frankly disgusting attitude. We are visitors to NYC and this has left a sour taste in what has been a truly amazing time here’s If you book for a time, you expect a table for that time, not to wait an hour and a half for it. So if you are looking for 2 exceptionally rude welcoming staff - look no further than this pretentious hole, cause you’ll get them. And then get laughed out the door when you complain. Incidentally, the food looked sh*t and over priced guff.

Filet peppercorn crusted and lamp chops. The filet was excellent and The peppercorn crust was simply amazing. We also had the tator tots. Not your kids type! Wow. The ambience, quality of food and presentation were outstanding. Recommend a reservation

As to be expected, the restaurant was busy but we were still greeted with a nice smile and warm welcome. That’s where the great service ended We were asked to wait at the bar, but couldn’t get to it as it was full. The bar staff saw us stood there but couldn’t be bothered to extend themselves and ask if we wanted anything. A short while later the waitress showed us to our table and that was that. No discussion about specials or someone coming over. Nothing. We waited 40 minutes but no one turned up to ask what we wanted to drink or to take an order. So we just got up and left. There were plenty of staff stood around but seemingly without leadership. Hey ho. Avoid if you can

It was like reciting the alphabet backwards… got the bread when the meal was finished!? Plates stayed on the table…. So disorganized. We usually love this place but got really turned off. Not coming back.

This was the place my husband chose for my birthday dinner. Very nice, quiet, but not boring and the employees were so nice and helpful. The dj was very friendly, too. The steak was OK, but it was more rare than asked for, desert was good! We had such a good time there.

Went for a team dinner and we ordered what I think were "party tomahawk steaks." Two of these ridiculous steaks with plenty of sides left us all stuffed, and they were cooked perfectly for such big pieces of meat. Exactly what you would hope for a top quality steak house. Not cheap, but very tasty.

Horrible experience - bartender charged me $36 for a glass of wine knowing fully well that I had gone there with another friend for happy hour. If indeed the glass of wine was $36, don’t you think she should have brought it to my attention? I expressed this concern on another review site, was told to send an email to the manager but I have received no response. I guess they don’t care as business is good.

The STK Steakhouse Midtown NYC (STK) restaurant is an absolute amazing first class restaurant that offers top of the line service along with superbly made dishes. In February of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at STK to celebrate our Happy Four Year Wedding Anniversary. It was our first time visiting STK, and both my wife and I were deeply impressed with the restaurant’s interior decor, luxurious settings and the playing of R& B and Pop songs. We were graciously welcomed by the restaurant’s staff and we were treated with great kindness and respect from our waiter, Sergey S. Sergey S did a wonderful job on explaining STK’s menu offerings, addressing all of our inquiries, appropriately documenting our orders, and routinely checking in to see if our needs were met. Sergey S exemplified great professionalism and I I definitely hope that he is well compensated for his services at STK. In addition to our great service, my wife and I highly enjoyed all of our meals starting with our bread based meal, followed by our appetizer meal and then our entree meals and desert. Our entrees which included the Long Island steaks was delicious seasoned, well-cooked, well proportioned and incredibly delicious. It truly was mouth watering and definitely ranks among our favorite steaks. We’d like to thank STK for making our Wedding Anniversary special and highly recommend for everyone to visit and dine at this wonderful restaurant!!!

We decided to book in this very refined and elegant place, the service was not entirely impeccable, not to mention the portions. The discreet meat is served with a sauce that has little to do with the context of the dish. You pay too much for the quality offered, not recommended!!!!!

WTF! One of the worst scenes I’ve ever walked into. Place is gross and the crowd is even worse. Felt like I walked into a bad basement party circa 1998. Service was terrible staff looked like they had no formal training and food was basically edible. Don’t waste your time or money. So many better options in NYC.

Amazing Saturday night meal. Felt like an upscale club with great couch dancing tunes mixed with an upscale modern steakhouse. Our waiter, Sergei from Kazakhstan made the experience that much more A+++ dining experience. Great food, great atmosphere, great night! We will be back whenever back to NYC!!

One of the best dinner experiences in NY. Great food, cocktail bar, DJ, and service. From the minute we arrived the welcome from everyone - hostess, barman, waiters, floor managers… this team know how to serve you and the food matches it. A trip to NY without a night at STK is a mistake. We changed our plans and went twice.

Late birthday dinner reservations. Bar was busy but tables still available. Party of 4 started with drinks & shots. 2 orderes of jumbo lump crab cakes, small filet and lamb chops. Sides were mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Almost everything a la cart. Little pricey but for a special occasion, overall everything was great. My lamb chops were cooked perfectly.

Our family reunited in NYC for a special thanksgiving week. Dinner at STK-NYC Midtown did not disappoint. I had the melt in your mouth Wagyu Flat Iron steak and it was divine. All of the staff was welcoming and hustling to keep their patrons happy. Our waiter Sergey was helpful in choosing just the right toppings and sides to complement our meals. Even better was that he made us feel at home in this fantastic city. Come to STK-NYC for your next special night out!

Tourist trap. The worst steak restaurant I have ever visited. The service lady was rude, the dishes are overpriced and not delicious, the music is so loud you can’t hear each other. Stay hungry before you go the STK 😡
Eating here takes a long time
It took them about 75 minutes to sit my party down even though we had a reservation. We were given a table that didn't fit the entire party so I had to sit uncomfortably in the corner of the table. Food and drinks took forever to come.
