San Sabino truly does seafood well. Every dish we had was unique, flavorful and delicious. Even our cocktails were standouts – we especially liked this spicy martini we had. I really enjoyed the arancini and tuna appetizer, plus this really yummy open face swordfish sandwich we had. The shrimp parm is definitely worth the hype - I would recommend ordering a pasta dish to go along with it so it’s a nice pairing. We got the meatballs which were excellent.

The menu looked so good and the food matched. I had the best salad ever and a delicious pasta stuffed with lobster. I can't wait to go back. The service was stellar as well

Lovely warm and bright corner space. Great creative food and wonderful service! We especially loved the pastas and the chocolate dessert.

This charming Italian restaurant is a fantastic addition to the West Village, complementing the growing list of exceptional dining spots in the area, including Don Angie just around the corner. The restaurant consistently delivers high-quality food and cocktails, which likely explains the difficulty in securing a reservation. It’s best to arrive when they open, as there’s often a line forming outside, or book well in advance. The food itself is excellent, though my only critique lies in the portion sizes. The main courses are similar in size to the appetizers, which means you might need to order extra dishes to feel fully satisfied. That said, the octopus appetizer was a standout, and the pasta dishes were equally impressive, with southern Italian influences and seafood options. The menu also caters to vegans, vegetarians, and those with gluten or other dietary restrictions. The cocktails were expertly crafted, adding to the overall experience. While the prices aren't exorbitant, the smaller portion sizes may have you ordering more than anticipated. The space has a cozy vibe, though the bar seating is a bit tight, with elbows often brushing against your neighbors. The staff is friendly and attentive, though some are more knowledgeable about the menu than others. Overall, this is a lovely spot for a date or a family gathering, offering a memorable dining experience in an intimate setting.

Hot new Italian seafood restaurant in the West Village. Not your standard fare but very special. Went here with my foodie daughter over Memorial Day Weekend. We had the tricolor salad, the octopus carpaccio, stuffed mussels, farfalle stuffed with crab and the shrimp parm. It was all great. Friendly and helpful service. Nice vibe. Go here if you have the chance.
It Gets Better and Better
I feel compelled to write another review for this amazing restaurant. I've been back four times since my first visit in June. They even have a table set aside for me. I always get the Insalata Louie which is a meal in itself and then a different entree every time. I have never been disappointed. The cocktails are terrific and the service impeccable. It's my new favorite restaurant in NYC.
