Absolutely gem.

Not sure why it’s got so few reviews on trip? Anyway, trip is my go to for restaurant recommendations and always helps in my choices, good or bad. This place is absolutely amazing, food best I’ve ever tasted outside of Thailand. It all works here, can totally tell the owner and team are on point. Lunch alone and it was a pleasure.

Great find with delicious unique meals!

Their dishes are not the typical Thai food you’ll find at other Thai restaurants. My nephew told me after dining there, it’s the best food ever! Definitely agree! Fun atmosphere, servers are knowledgeable! Reasonably priced! A must go to if you’re in NYC!

Very good Thai

I wasn’t sure what to make of this place - they’re very shall we say blunt about telling you you can’t enter until they open at 5pm. I arrived at 4:50. The door was open. I walked in to see the host and he’s like we’re not open yet, and made be leave. so everyone is crowded inside this tiny little uncomfortable waiting area just outside the restaurant which is enclosed and chaotic (not great during flu season). But once they opened and our entire party arrived, we were seated soon enough, and I was a pleasantly surprised at the portion size and the quality of the food. Fun funky atmosphere too.

New Thailand Cuisine

Other kind of Thailand food... taste is unique and I and my family love it. Food is not too familiar with Thailand food, but so far we love it. Waiter is friendly, and I think his name is Eric, good service from him.

Fun vibe, great food and service.

Fun atmosphere + excellent food and service. The restaurant has a great vibe and was packed even on a Sunday night. Our server, Amy, was the best!

Just okay

My friends took me here for my birthday dinner. We had a reservation for our party of five for a Saturday at 5:30 PM. Even for an early seating, the place was packed! It's the sister restaurant of Soothr so I guess if people can't get in there, they go to Sappe. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share: -Skewers - we did the chicken skin, pork belly, and beef tongue. Nothing was really outstanding, but I did like the 'Sappe powder' it was served with, whatever that was. It was like a salty lime powder, which tastes a lot better than I'm describing it. The chicken skin was disappointing because it wasn't crispy at all -Wing Zaab (fried marinated wings tossed in spicy Sappe powder and culantro) - these were nice and crispy, and not overly battered -Kaw Moo Yang (grilled marinated pork jowl with spicy Jaew sauce) - this was probably the best dish. The pork was very tender, and I liked the jaew sauce -Pad Om Nuer (sauteed fried braised beef in Thai chili paste with sponge gourd, dill, basil, and Thai herbs) - this was meh but it's probably because I don't love braised dishes in general -Mama E-La (pan fried wavy egg noodles in sweet garlic soy sauce, egg, gailan, topped with sauteed beef) - this was SO salty. The 'wavy egg noodles' reminded me of instant ramen. You could probably skip this dish -Shrimp fried rice - this was pretty good and the shrimp were a nice size. I used some of the jaew sauce from the pork jowl and it made it better -Gluay Ping (grilled banana, coconut milk, caramel sauce, and butterfly pea infused coconut gelato) - this sounded interesting but it just did not look appetizing. The grilled banana looked gray, and the coconut looks like slivers of onions. I did like the coconut gelato though Chao Guay I-Tim Nom (glass jelly in syrup, boba, milk gelato, and brown sugar) - this was the better dessert. I liked the milk gelato. But I don't think either of the desserts were worth $15 I have yet to try Soothr but I'm hoping it's better than Sappe.

Really fun place to go, bit more pricey, but still worth it. Great food and drinks. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
