We visited during our trip to NYC in December 2024, travelling as a family with our 4-year-old daughter. What a lovely little spot! The food was absolutely amazing — the butter paneer in particular (our daughter’s favourite) was the best we’ve had. We ended up dining here three times in six days because we enjoyed it so much. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. A special shoutout to Sarah, who was fantastic with our daughter — chatting with her about her trip and making her feel welcome. It's the kind of experience that stays with you; even six months later, we still talk about our visits. We can’t wait to return on our next trip to NYC. Highly recommend Sathi if you're looking for delicious Indian food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Best Indian in New York! Everything was very good! Super cheap price. I highly recommend it! Don't forget to order the fried onion as a starter.

Not only was our meal very tasty and flavorful, but it was incredibly cheap given the quality and amount of food. Sathi gives very generous portions, with an appetizer, entree and dessert all for 20 bucks. That’s very hard to find in New York. I loved my butter chicken, lamb samosa and gulab jamun. The staff were also very attentive and kind. A great dining experience all-around!

Went for the lunch special - $14.95 currently with choice of Chicken Tikka masala or Saag Paneer and another chicken, vegetable, or upgrade to lamb, seafood for a small upcharge. We sat by the front window which was ideal for people watching. The food is beyond reasonably priced and the food was delicious. Our server was very attentive and sweet. I am definitely returning to this gem of a restaurant!

Really good. Lunch. Chicken tikka masala. Wife had tandoori chicken. Split dal and tandoori paneer. So terrific. One of best Indian meals we have had in the city, and we have had a lot.

Sathi is a reasonable Indian restaurant on 3rd Street. There were 3 of us and the food quality was mixed. Some not very tasty. Service was good.

I really enjoyed our lunch at Sathi! Really good Indian food and very nice and attentive staff🥰 I loved the complementary bread❤️

Great lunch. Butter chicken, daal mahkani, tandoori chicken, and bread. Great service, great attitude, great food.

This was the best Indian food we’ve had in America! For $19.99 you can get an appetizer, a main, and a side or a dessert, which is an incredible deal, especially for NYC. The servings were so generous that we couldn’t even finish everything, and the flavors were exquisite! We could taste the individual spices, and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The service was super-prompt, attentive, and friendly, and they brought out complimentary rice puddings for us after. We can’t recommend it enough!

My first time in sathi restaurant I like samosa's (Indian food) so I ordered a samosa's . Samosa's very tasty. This samosa's are the best samosa's I ever trying. The service of restaurant is Good.

NYC is so expensive 💰 for foreigners! I guess if you have a NYC salary life is easier… otherwise, when you must eat out everyday, you have to look for lunch specials to survive (economically, of course)… Sathi New York is an Indian restaurant in Gramercy that offers lunch specials AND has good reviews, and since I’d been craving for Indian food for weeks, that had to be our spot for lunch. Usually, comparing Indian restaurants is very easy for me because I always order the same: a plain naan and a lamb byriani. In that case, I had to change to take advantage of the lunch special. An opportunity to try something new! 🤩 Honestly, the food was abundant enough and very good. There was nothing revolutionary about it but for $15 that’s not what you expect either 🤗 The service was attentive, the staff was nice and the venue is ok. Quality & taste: 8/10 Quantities: 8/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Originality: 6/10 Ratio price / quality: 9/10 Service: 8/10 How I felt afterwards: 8/10

I found this place through Yelp, and wasn't disappointed. It may look very simple but the food is really delicious. Their grilled chicken appetizer (forgot the name) is heavenly and melts in your mouth.

Came to this restaurant this past weekend on a girls' trip to the City. We started with the chili chicken mo-mos which were excellent! They were nice and spicy, just the way we wanted. We ordered 3 dishes, chicken tikka masala, okra and spicy vegetables (I don't remember the Indian names for these dishes), all of which were very tasty. The garlic naan and roti were also yummy. We had lots of leftovers. Service was great and prices are reasonable. We did not order from the prix fix menu, but it is a great deal. I highly recommend!

Great food and very attentive service! We felt very comfortable. The food was delicious and sufficient. Can we absolutely recommend! 😊

The food here is fresh and amazing. They have some Nepalese cuisine as well as traditional Indian fare. The mo-mo are amazing. The naan may be the best I’ve had anywhere (I got the cilantro naan, which was a nice touch, but the bread itself was incredible. This is also one of the few Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at where I find the spicer sauces don’t lose flavor in exchange for the heat.

Sathi is a fine dining Indian restaurant on Third Avenue between 18th and 19th Street in Gramercy Park. Please do not be mislead by its humble and plain storefront. The Indian food is really delicious and authentic. Indian contacts told us about this place. Its flavor profile is very spicy and savory/sweet. Please be cautious about ordering spicy dishes. The menu is wide ranging with plenty of vegan options. Please try if in the area.
Great food
Despite the number of restaurants in NYC it is difficult to get a good Indian meal. The food here was excellent and the portions were very generous. Friendly service and very good value.
