Really nice place to stop a while and rest before visiting the Top of the Rock. Amazing selection of beers. Definitely would recommend the cheese pretzels, they were so nice!

Nice atmosphere, good service, tasty pizza and good beer. Overall this matched other review comments and I’m glad I stopped in for food and drinks.

Having been the previous night and had an excellent meal, I thought I would return for my Thanksgiving meal. The staff were very attentive and even recoginised me from the previous night. Studied the menu and said I would not have a starter and then ordered ducks wings, but mistake, they were huge. How was I to know that ducks had 6 wings and came in the form of legs. I managed to just about finish them. Then arrived a massive Turkey dinner. 4 slices of turkey plus all the trimmings, I did my best but could not finish it. (Why did I have those turkey legs?) Pecan pie followed and washed down with 2 pints of lager, only $6 as there is a constant happy hour I would thourly reccomend this restaurant, give it a try.

We were a party of 7.. I called prior to arriving to check availability since it was the first weekend after the Tree Lighting and Rockefeller center was packed! The lady who answered the phone was kind and helpful. We arrived and the young gentleman with an accent was extremely polite, hospitable and helpful. He kept checking on us as we waited for our table. The young lady with the “Walkie - Talkie” was on top of everything and made sure the tables were being promptly turned and took fantastic care of us! The food was good… the front staff was amazing!! They were the type of individuals I would want working for me!

Was headed for Pig n Whistle only to find it under renovation, so went back up the street to Sean's Bar. Lovely welcome, quickly shown to our table, drinks swiftly delivered, ordered Soup of the day (Lentil) and a Burger, everything was lovely. Unfortunately we had to be somewhere so left after eating lunch, could have happily stayed all day!

A pub where you can drink an excellent craft beer (I had the lager) and eat good food (I had an Angus burger with bacon). Very friendly and efficient staff. Interiors welcoming in their chaos.

Loved it here- had some drinks, watched sports, and listened to Christmas music. The bartender was busy, but super friendly and nice. We always were waited on quickly.

In what can be an expensive city to eat and drink this bar offered food and drink at a Greta price in a great setting with great friendly staff !

This is a great place for some Irish / British pub type food and a beer, just a stone’s throw from Times Square. The staff are very attentive and the food is good, nutritious and uncomplicated. The portions are sensible too! Go there, it’s a great place to unwind after a day of walking the city and seeing the delights of Manhattan.

Was here 2 years ago and tried it as we were fed up of fast food. It was so good we made 4 visits. Two years latercouldnt find it at first, but when we did we saw the food was just as good, just as friendly, and we'll worth a bit of a walk to eat here. Well done for keeping it so good, will be back..

Really enjoyed this bar, Beautiful glass front & high ceilings made this different to any other bar we visited in nyc, A long counter & friendly staff especially Eunan & Colleen from Sligo, those 2 will go places. A great pint of harp aswell !!!

Sean’s bar is a great place for a decent pint of Guinness and great friendly service. We did not eat but the menu was inviting.

Off the cuff visit which turned out to be one of our best nights in NY. Great selection of food and drink along with great service. Highly recommend a visit.

Food was all great and beer selection and cider selection was awesome! What was horrible was our slow service and being ignored for drink refills as well as bringing us an incorrect beer and blaming it on us and still charging us. If we had better service, it would have been a 5!

Happened upon Sean's while strolling around the city. Wait at 9pm on Friday night was next to nothing. Decent burger; date loved the chicken pot pie. Sean's Porter was a very light brew, not bitter so it went down easily, but a little disappointing for the name. Great service.

Stopped in after Broadway show for a drink and meal. Grest food and Guinness was top notch. Service was great. Very nice pub.

Went to this nice little bar a couple of times lunchtime and an evening really enjoyed the lively atmosphere being english and not used to the large portion sizes we found 3 side dishes between 2 of us was enough must try the prezel sticks

Service was great. Food was pub grub but nothing wrong with it. Had a quesadilla and it was adequate. Beer was good and atmosphere was vibrant.

Had a really good time w my gf. The service was good but the beer and the burgers were awesome! Would come back for sure.

first of all the service was appalling 2 of us ordered and the 3rd person was just ignored. we ordered starters and 2/3 of them came with the actual dinner. the nacho cheese was disgusting and the hot wings were bad to even look at. this has definitely been the worst food i’ve had in new york 1/10 recommend to not go we ordered a medium burger and it came well done. the bangers and mash was microwaved and disgusting. ignore all of the other reviews trust me. it was mank

Adjacent to the Rockefeller Center just before Christmas with lots of families looking for a place to have lunch. Sean's was an oasis from the crowds with great food, impeccable service and lots of Sports options showing on their TVs for the sports aficionados. Well done - highly recommend. And, the food was reasonably prices.

Actually not 5 star it's a 10 star. Great place . Food fantastic staff really nice and friendly. A special mention to Vincent lovely man . Very helpful friendly and also full of advice . Can't fault it great Guinness and food 👍

we ran in to escape snow and grab a drink. It was cosy and welcoming and we ended up staying to eat. Food was nice, great choice on menu. Waiting staff were really friendly and chatty and we didnt feel rushed or pressured to move on after food. met some lovely people from other parts of USA and chatted and shared stories. Its that sort of vibe. loved it.

Sean’s bar is so good ! Happy hour all day every day ! AJ is amazing always takes care of us like family .

Great bar good staff and reasonable prices. Good atmosphere and cosmopolitan patrons. Really enjoyed it.

Great spot away from the crowds. We popped in for lunch on a very crowded Christmas Eve day. It was the perfect respite with very good food and drinks.

Sean’s lived up to its excellent ratings on trip advisor. The atmosphere was a ten. Great ambiance. Sports bar worthy. Really excellent wings and salads and burgers. Sean’s custom beers were all excellent. Value a ten. Service a ten. C-19 protocol a ten. Outside dining available although we dined inside. We will absolutely return.

In the side street of 5th Avenue there is this big pub where we recharged our batteries - good beer and snacks, nice staff

Went there from reviews. Did get seated right away. Wait staff took a little while to get over to us but it was Friday at 6 pm understood place was full. Drinks were nice they do have a nice selection of beer. Had a draft I did taste that old draft line that has not been cleaned lately. Had 2 burgers. Wife liked hers would have gave it a 4 I would have given a 3.5. Just an ok burger where you can have it anywhere. The fries are the worst that took our rating down to a 3. I would never go back here again.

This place features excellent Irish food, a fun atmosphere and a good beer selection. Fantastic service both at tables and bar. Definitely a great place for drinks and/or food.

Writing this review before I even leave the restaurant! Love the laid back vibes, warm and cozy atmosphere, great selection of alcoholic beverages and the food is fantastic! I’m a bit a of a foodie, but needed a quick bite and would 10/10 come back to Sean’s! Food is excellent and service is great! Don’t skip this place!

Wow, what a find! Staff so friendly, especially Ash. Food fab and amazing atmosphere. So welcoming. Will definitely return!

Considering the proximity of this place to Times Square, the prices for food and drink are reasonable. Mixed drinks and draft beers are well priced Food was excellent. Tasty and served super quick Staff are the best part. Proper Irish people working here Will go back for sure on next trip to NY

This is more bar than kitchen. You go here for the busy loud scene. We went at 7pm on a Tuesday evening. Packed & Loud. It's the after work crowd. By 8:30 it was much quieter. Expect to have a beer and a burger, maybe a BLT. It was a good beer & burger place. We would go there again. Two dinner entrees, one BLT, five beers and an appetizer; $120 including a 20% tip.

It was a cute place, with chandeliers made of liquor bottles and every inch of wall space has a huge TV. I ordered a cheesesteak because it sounded wonderful with Guinness onions, Cheddar cheese and Irish bacon. I was very surprised when I got a NY strip steak with all of the above. I had expected sliced shredded steak. It was delicious!! The fries were hot and crisp. I would recommend this place! I had also never seen a mayo jar that said No Refridgeration Needed. (Laughing ) so we took a picture of it!

Good location and the service was very quick. The food was good, nothing to complain about and nothing to write home about.

Great atmosphere & good drink prices (for AUD). We also had bar snacks which were yummy 😋 great service & clean restrooms

The service was great, we didn’t wait long to be served and the food arrived quickly. However the wings were average and the flat bread far too loaded with cheese. Drinks - hubby would award good marks for house lager. The Moscow mule was just terrible if you know what to expect. Wouldn’t return unless everywhere else was closed. Maybe we should’ve raised these points but being typically British we didn’t, we left after one round of drinks and food.

Cracking pub , make it a must visit on your New York trip . Staff class and service was second to none

We stopped in for breakfast. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. The coffee was the best we had in NY. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back.

Possibly if we were out drinking for the night Seán’s would be a good night out but the food is awful. Fish and chips came out with about an inch of overcooked batter, the fish was some awful cheap mushy white fish. They did swap that for the “Irish curry” and this was ok. The other meal was a burger and chips, the chips were like they had been refríed a load of times and then served to me when they got cold. Awful. This meal was taken off the bill. All in all if I owned this bar I’d be finding a new chef. No money was made on our table that night. My chef husband rarely complains and in 15 years this was only the 3rd time I’ve ever seen him send back a meal. To the lovely older man, owner I’d say, do yourself a big favour and hire a better chef. Great job on the decor. The floor staff are all excellent.

We stopped here for lunch. The prices aren’t cheap, but also aren’t crazy expensive. This is an Irish pub that serves Irish/British food. I loved visiting!

Great place to drink a beer or to eat (even with minor children = children's menu by the way) Friendly staff! Great selection of beers and more!

We stopped on a whim, wife quickly looked up on trip advisor and we were in. We had Irish coffees, the Irish short rib nachos, artichoke dip, and the soup. We saw some amazing food coming out, especially the kitchen sink, its served in a sink! Yes it's a sink with a faucet and hot and cold handles. The vibe was energetic, plenty of TVs and lots of good Irish whiskeys. Note, not all the staff is Irish, but they are super friendly,I'll stop again!

I was expecting everything around the Rockefeller centre to be overpriced and poor, however we hit the jackpot with this place. Great atmosphere as you walk in and food / drinks at a great price. We ordered the Reuben sandwich and mac n cheese with onion rings - every part of the meal was delicious! Service couldn’t be faulted either, you need to go!

Just wandered in looking for a quick drink. Food looked so good we couldn’t resist. All day happy hour and great selection of beers. Very friendly service. Highly recommend.

Tonight, at dinner at this place - great Onion soup and bad beer - a mouse ran between the tables... to ask the managers what it was - he rudely declared - New York, sometimes. Asked to introduce himself, he blushed a lot and said / pay and get out of here.

Theee worst breakfast since I have been in New York!! Food clearly prepared 3 hours before serving.. grim! Disappointing

OMG! This is the best place in NYC, the food, the drinks, the staff, atmosphere all get a five star! We enjoyed everything we had from the soup to the fish and chips.

Fantastic Irish bar with great friendly and helpful staff.no Wonder it was busy.couldnt recommend it enough,I wish we had an Irish bar this friendly back in belfast..

Brilliant spot, food goegous but for us the best part was Keli our Irish waitress she was amazing , thanks keli for a wonderful evening u are fantastic at your job , Sean's bar , you have a gem in keli , best experience yet in New York jus sorry we didnt find this place sooner !!

Stopped in Sean's for lunch one afternoon on our way back from some site seeing. Inside was very nice with lots of character and TV screens for watching sports. My wife had the Ruben and I had the fish and chips. Both were very good. Service was good, fast and friendly. I would definitely eat here again. Price was normal for NYC, which is not exactly cheap, but its what you pay here. Cold beers on tap as well! There own label of beer was tasty.

Another fabulous visit to Sean’s! We found this bar & restaurant last time we were here and enjoyed another few visits this trip! Bartenders were excellent and food was SUPERB!! Hands down…the best chicken pesto panini I have ever had!!

After working in Rock Center we tried to find a nearby restaurant that wasn't ridiculously expensive. Wandered into Sean's, checked out the menu and said let's try it. Best decision of the day. Started off with one of Sean's beers, excellent choice of pilsner recommended by waitress. Ordered a solid kale and cranberry salad followed by the soy ginger salmon and a burger. I was absolutely shocked at the quality and taste of the salmon, and at $19 felt like I had robbed the place. Wife's burger was good too. Table next to us had ordered the chicken pot pie and customer was loving it. I cannot express what a find this is next to Rockefeller Center. Nice menu with good variety, well plated dishes that make you think you are at a high end restaurant, and prices that are not New York. Take my advice and go, you won't be disappointed.

Stopped there Saturday evening after watching the Rockettes show, very lively place, and it was packed. We maneuvered to the upstairs section and got a table without much of a wait. Lots of beer selections, and pretty interesting pub fare menu. We ordered the Sean's BLT, which was made with fried green tomatoes, avocado, bacon, etc. on nice thisk wheat bread, it was outstanding. Also ngers and Mash, which was just that, sausage and lots of mashed potatos, with mashed peas thrown i to the mix. Very tasty.

We called on here last week whilst we were on holiday in nyc for a few drinks. Great atmosphere and friendly accommodating staff. We’d had lunch out earlier so didn’t want a huge meal so decided to have wings and fries with our drinks. They didn’t disappoint . Will definitely come back on our next visit.

Came across this bar on 48th Street by happy accident. Greeted at door by friendly staff who will seat you or direct you to bar if that is a preference. All day happy hour with good choice of bars own beers plus wines and cocktails. Food was excellent. We had two dinners there and were not disappointed. Main course did not leave room for dessert and reasonably priced. Serving staff also very friendly.

Our dinner was very good. My husband tried one of the Sean's beers and liked it enough to get another one. Sean's Bar and Kitchen has a pleasant atmosphere.

We enjoyed a delicious burger, chicken selects and a couple of drinks each. All were of excellent quality and the service was good (a young Irish waitress was very friendly and pleasant in particular). Added bonus was getting proper English mustard, rather than that yellow stuff the Americans call mustard! Good pint of Guinness too. Cost was $83 including service which is good value for NYC! Would definintely come back.

Decided to give it a go after reading the reviews. So glad we did . Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. Drink prices a bit on the high side . But overall a lovely night out.

Wonderfull place Good price We spend out monday afternoon and we enjoyed our selfs! Relax Friendly staff....

OK, so I know New York is expensive. But after a tiring day exploring central park we wanted a quick bite to eat and what better than a bit of pub grub. My daughter's ate a burger and a chicken sandwich with chips which they said was nice and myself and my wife had fish and chips which wasn't so good. Although the menu didn't detail the fish served here I expected cod or haddock. It was neither, at a guess it was Pollock, we imagined Gordon Ramsay sampling this on one of his TV programmes and spitting it all over the table then finding gone off fish in the kitchen! Drinks ordered was a coke, a glass of wine and a Bud light. We requested the bill and it came with a big surprise. Over $100! Wow, wtf! Bud light was $8, and it was as flat as a pancake, and not even a pint. Examining the bill we saw that a 18% service charge was added to it. Being an English man in New York I assumed this was the tip added to bill. Reluctantly I paid the bill and left. Later, I read up on service charges and apparently, depending on what you read, service charges are not allowed to be added to bills anymore and if they are it is when a great deal of attention is given to a party for example when there are 10 guests. I feel like they saw us coming at this place. Wide ended and bushy tailed English family unfamiliar with the New York practices. This is most definitely a tourist trap and out of towners should definitely avoid. I think there was a Five Guys next door, go there instead!

Had such a great time! Lots of great beers on tap, local and “classics” including Smithwick’s. Good food and the bartender was so friendly!! Definitely would go back again.

We stayed last week in NY. In conversation with a security guard at the Rockefeller Centre, asking him where was good for a beer, he recommended Sean’s. The bar is near the Rockefeller and Radio City Hall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. With a name like Sean’s you won’t be surprised to learn that it’s an Irish/ American bar and has a high proportion of Irish staff. It has happy hour all day -$7 for wine and a good selection of beer, this is a really good price in NY. The food is typical pub fare with good specials, again food is competitively priced. We had such a great time that we ended up eating here three times as we couldn’t find a nicer (inexpensive) place. Special mention to our waitress Kellyanne who was fab and funny and to Joe, equally entertaining.

Found it around from Radio City, but what a find. Great atmosphere, fantastic range of local IPA - especially the 8.3 Raging Bitch. We also had food, which was very nice, fresh - just needed to be a little hotter (Fries mainly), but tasted amazing - the steak just melted in my mouth. Defo worth a visit - friendly staff

The best Irish food in New York friendly staff with no fuss had my grandson with us who is only 1 and nothing was a problem. Had a burger and it was like eating in a place in Ireland great job

We came across Sean's bar & kitchen while out walking, decided to have a drink, which they had a great selection off from cocktails to beer. We had a look at the food menu while we were there and again an excellent choice, i got the New York strip steak, and it was delicious. The service was great and friendly staff. Would definitely come again.

The Jam Burger was delicious and The Kitchen Sink held up to its name! Staff was friendly and courteous. They do ask for vaccination card if you want to sit inside.

Everything was really great, service was quick, very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty. I had a burger that was better than the much-vaunted Bill's Burger. The house beer was also great. Prices are really OK for NYC. Absolutely recommended for a visit to NYC.

Met with family for lunch. Barman was very professional and chatty. Food was excellent and all staff were great. Would definitely visit here again.

We discovered this restaurant while exploring the rockefeller area. There is a great atmosphere as you walk in, the staff is friendly and the food / drinks offered at a great price. We ordered Shepherd’s Pie, Lamb Stew and Bangers and Mash and everything was delicious. You need to try this place out.

Greeted at the door by a charming, red-haired Irishman with the most authentic brogue…because it was! Service, food, atmosphere…great experience with, and for, our 8 yr old granddaughter (and us).

Very busy when we went. Ordered 2 beers, one came straight away but my husband’s took 25 minutes to arrive despite us keep asking. The lager did not taste good. Food was ok but the gratuity was added on (as is often expected) but the service was so poor I did not think they should just expect the tip. Would not go here again.

Second time I've been here for a lunch and would definitely return. Excellent beer selections, good food, fair pricing... You can't go wrong here.

Went in for lunch - great food, great service........ in fact it was that good we went back in the evening for more food & even more drinks Choice of beers / tap is vast Drinks are all reasonably priced - in fact cheap compared to some places

Always ask a NYer where to eat (we asked someone at a retail store). Sean's offers a variety of very good choices. It was delicious and our server was very nice. We'll be back.

I should've known that an Irish pub would serve a good, hearty breakfast. But i didn't know that they would poach eggs perfectly. I had the avocado toast, and the poached eggs were absolutely perfect. My husband had an omelet, and it was huge. And, on a Sunday morning, when coffee is a requirement, the coffee here was very good.

Nice clean bar/pub. Irish staff really friendly, prices reasonable for the location. Bar and toilet area both clean. Didn’t try and food but it looked nice. This bar has about 10 large screens to show sports.

A nice to place to duck into on a snowy day! Standard pub food was fine, service was friendly. Sort of a sports bar/pub cross.

Stopped in to Sean’s Bar & Kitchen for a little break from visiting all the area sites around Rockefeller Center and was pleasantly surprised by how great this quaint spot was. Stepping inside you are transported to a local Irish Pub with a beautiful bar and small intimate dining area. They have an excellent selection of domestic and Imported drafts with a menu of Irish and English delights. I enjoyed the “Bangers & Mash” which I haven’t seen since a trip to England and they also have “Fish & Chips” The staff was very courteous and professional and for the location the prices were quite reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Great burger and great beer, convenient pub (ample space for the stroller) and in the center. A pleasant discovery! We would stay again

Stopped in for beers and wings before the Christmas Spectacular and visiting the tree. Great Atmosphere and nice bartenders. Enjoyed some of Sean's beers. Wings were really good. Lots of taps and a full bar. Spoke with some tourists during our visit. Very enjoyable time.

Looking for a good neighborhood bar with great selection of beers and spirits while watching a soccer match this the place to go or just get out of NYC rain. I tried a Sean's Red which was on tap and tasty

Have been multiple times. Good Happy Hour Specials (all day) good (but kind of smallish) menu, pleasant, efficient servers and greeters. Very, very large beer menu (their own brews, plus the standard fare). Git it a try.

We were looking for a bar with great food and Sean’s is definitely it. I had the Shepherd’s Pie and my wife had the burger - both were great. It has a good atmosphere and is reasonably priced - definitely recommended.

Arrived on Monday and stopped here on way to Times Square for quick drink, pleasant welcome and staff. After a busy day Tuesday we were stuck for ideas of places to eat, and decided to try the food and we were not disappointed. Burgers are amazing and the pumpkin ale great. On Wednesday we returned yet again to eat, and we were not let down. It’s rare to visit places more than once and get consistently great service let alone 3 times in a row. We return, thank you to staff who have helped make this trip so special.

The place is authentic and picturesque, but electronic music at too high a volume spoils it quite a bit. We ordered nachos, pizza margherita, beef stew with mashed potatoes, and beef and lamb pie with mashed potatoes. All pretty good. They applied the 18% tip directly to us, I understand that because we were foreigners. We were surprised that they charged us a 3% supplement for paying by card. Fast and professional service. Expensive prices but not exaggerated for the area.

I saw a recommendation for Sean’s bar on a NYC top tips for Brits Facebook forum. Great recommendation! We visited after going up Top of the Rock, and wanted some food and a beer without needing to go too far. Sean’s is Literally just round the back of the Rockefeller building. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service. Really delicious burgers and one of our group had a salad which they enjoyed. Great range of beer and ciders. Meal was very reasonable, price wise, considering the location. Would recommend a visit.

We visited Sean’s for dinner and had a great experience. My blue cheese burger was delicious, and it was happy hour so the drinks were very reasonable. The staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was lively but not crowded; there was good music and screens to watch the basketball. A very authentic Irish bar. Would visit again and highly recommend!

Just had the most amazing meal here popped in looking for a bite to eat ..wow great food service and atmosphere burgers salads all to Die for would thoroughly recommended this place .

Sean's Bar and Kitchen is a real hidden gem of the neighborhood! Try this place out for a great meal. Get the burger with extra pickles!

We stumbled upon Sean’s bar by accident last summer and loved their burgers. This year we came back and were not disappointed. Their burgers are huge and they have a very delicious veggie burger. The beer selection is huge and very reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. Location is very close to Rockefeller center. So if you’re planning a trip to Top Of the Rock, make sure to stop by Sean’s bar for a drink or two.

Conveniently located near Times Square and some of the theatres so we are here before going to see a show. As the name suggests, it’s Irish themed, serving typical “Irish” food and had a great atmosphere! Very quick and friendly service and good value.

We went to Sean's on 23rd December. As with all other restaurants in New York City, there was a vaccine requirement, which definitely made us feel safer. We ordered: Kate's Fish N' Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Key Lime Pie, and Chocolate Fudge Brownie a la Mode. The fish and chips weren't great but everything else we ordered was fantastic. The atmosphere was also amazing, very reminiscent of a typical British/Irish pub, and they show many sports too. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.

They added 18% for service without asking me. disgusting, I just hope you will pay for your greed with a lack of clients in the future.

We drank & ate here 3 times in our week in New York, we were staying in Times Square so just a short walk. We watched the World Cup Semi’s & Final here - great choice! Food wise we tried the hot wings & the chicken sandwich, both really good after eating some average food in other places. Lovely pint of Guinness & Irish coffee’s, served by John & Al’ - both really good fun & entertaining.

As title explains. I did not think the experience was going to go well so turned around and walked out. From the reviews a lucky miss.

A gem in the centre of Manhattan, brilliant staff, tasty food, lots of tvs to even accommodate my unusual request. Great range of beers and spirits and by the standards of some of the venues I visited in NY, not a rip off. Highly recommended

This was such a great accident! We had been shopping all day and wanted to grab a pint. We walked into Sean’s and were greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The brother bartenders were on point with their service and their friendly conversation! Also, an added bonus they had beautiful Irish accents! We decided to stay after such great bar service to eat dinner with friends and they kindly found us a table. The waitress, Cliodnna, was amazing and had us all laughing and chatting like we were regulars! The beer was brilliant, the food was lovely and the atmosphere made this 5 stars! If we lived in nyc we would go weekly but for now it’ll just have to be a regular stop when we travel!

Superb bar ..family friendly Just off Times Square 5 minute walk Clean tidy and with great service Very good draught and super food this is a proper bar not a manufactured tourist bar Breakfasts are superb and the atmosphere every time we have visited is awesome Highly recommended

What a cozy and comfy place to go and hangout. Plenty of TVs for your favorite game night. And to top it off food was well above what I anticipated. Sort of an Irish flair to most dishes, portions were generous. Best dishes so far were post pie and walnut encrusted salmon. Dance was absolutely delish. Embarrassed myself by linking the plate...it was so good.

We stopped for lunch before visiting the Rockefeller center. The range of beers available was good. I had the Gaelic burger and my wife had the chicken ani d bacon sandwich. Both came with fries and a pickle. The portions were that big we didn't need to eat later. Unlike most burgers we've had in the States they weren't greasy and the whole meal was reasonably priced. We would recommend this pub / restaurant.

As a spur of the moment place to eat for dinner we picked Sean's. We were walking around Rockefeller center and with only a twenty minute wait, my family and I enjoyed a delicious dinner. I got the Greek godess salad and I'd highly recommend it. Drinks were very yummy but a little pricey for the beer but it's to be expected in the city.

We had a wonderful time at Sean's Bar And Kitchen in New York. The food was delicious, the atmosphere cozy, and the service excellent. A perfect spot for a memorable dining experience.

This was my first trip to see the Christmas tree in Rockafella Ctr. Everything was going great, the people were festive and dancing and singing Christmas carols in the street, the weather was perfect and the tree was amazing. Then it was time to have dinner . We made reservations via Sean’s restaurant website. When we arrived, they told us they do not honor reservations via the website any longer and had not removed the option. So we waited an hour. The place was packed like sardines. We went to bar to get a drink while we were waiting and the drink was horrible. Just two ingredients apple pucker and grey goose and they couldn’t get it right? We asked the bartender to fix it and he refused. The drink was $12.00 even though they advertised $8.00 happy hour prices all night. Then we offered to buy a shot of grey goose to at least get rid of the syrup taste and was told we would have to pay another $12.00 if we wanted a shot. A real rip off ! Not to mention the bartender was rude and arrogant. After an hour we were finally seated. Our experience was horrible with apple martini, so we decided to try another drink and ordered the margarita. That was a complete waste of money. Our appetizers came out only five minutes before we were served our entree’s. We ordered steak topped with onions. We were so disappointed! The steak was tasteless and dry. I expect a much better steak given we were in NYC! Needless to say, we will not be back.

Visited in Mid December on a late afternoon. Wanted to have a decent lunch before the theatre. We certainly had a decent lunch. The portions were huge. Son got chicken wings to start which could have fed several people. Burgers were great - very tasty with lovely fries. There is a huge selection of beers on tap which really impressed my husband. Bar was very busy but it was the best service we had in our 6 days stay in NYC. Definitely recommend

What a find! Great food, great service and all day happy hour! The Sean's beer was tasty and the Gaelic Burger fantastic!

Had a nice meal here on 2 visits to NYC. Nice menu, reasonable price & great atmosphere. Has it own beer line. Sean’s Lager was very good. Great place to sit down, order & get out quickly or stay and have a few. Either way you are good. Very nice polite & efficient wait staff. Great place to eat. So enjoy.

We were looking for a place with good food & a lively atmosphere, and certainly hit it on both fronts! The atmosphere is certainly lively, with a plethora of TV screens showing primarily sports channels, a good menu and wonderful attentive service from the Irish staff. My wife ordered a salad which was interesting, fresh & tasty. I chose the speciality burger which was grilled medium as requested. It was delicious, and served with a generous portion of homemade fires with the skins left on. All in all we had a great evening & will certainly return on our next visit to the Big Apple.

Great food! Great service. Loud, but that's to be expected in a bar. Mozzarella sticks were good, and curry chicken was amazing!

Cracking pint of Guinness. Friendly bartender, great atmosphere and plenty of sport on the ample large screens. Would happily return.

Called in three times whilst in New York with my friend. Very friendly staff. Food and drink reasonably priced as well. Had a meal as well as drinks here and meal was very tasty (much nicer than some New york restaurants where we paid top price) This place appears to welcome families to and I would recommend for anyone coming to New York as this is an excellent place to visit

Visited Seans Bar on our family trip to NYC. Food was delicious, staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We were highly impressed and will definitely be back on our next trip!

Sean’s bar was a great place to settle down in the afternoon for a quick drink. The staff behind the bar were friendly. We didn’t eat here so unsure on food.

This is a very friendly Old Irish Establishment that we found on our first day in New York, we visited every day for breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent and huge portions. The staff could not been more helpful and friendly. Shamus the manager made us so welcome it was like home from home.

French toast was soooo good, strawberries and blueberries really tasty, presented really well! Traditional brekkie was great, especially black pudding! Only needed to get out the rain quick and was really pleased we stumbled across Sean's Bar! Loved the decor. A must visit and lovely staff member who served us. Recommend x

Food was amazing. Had pancakes and were delish. Dinner the following day and the pizza was amazing. Staff were so friendly from when you enter, met with friendly smiles and a bit of craic. We went 4 years ago and I must say it is the friendliest bar in New York. I cannot fault it. Cannot wait to go back.

We come here every time we visit New York. The atmosphere is amazing. The food is fantastic - home made shepherds pie is to die for. Friendly staff too.

Very good beer. Their own is particularly good. Service is very quick and friendly. Food is good and fresh. Recommend if you want to grab a bite and watch the game

We ate in here a couple of times whilst in NY. It has a great friendly atmosphere and the staff are great. The only thing that lets it down is its prices are on the high side.

What a gem this place is..all the staff are so pleasant and there is a great atmosphere, all the sport you can handle on the TV's and the drink are spot on and the prices are a bargain for New York..found our new local for our trip. 👍👍🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸

We chose this spot as it was just around the corner from NBC studios. Didn’t expect much more than another mediocre pub. We were pleasantly surprised - atmosphere was nice, menu was varied, and everyone was happy with their selections. The shepherds pie was especially good. Wine and huge selection of beer at a reasonable price. Service was very good.

Prompt, quick service, and the waitress was very attentive. Food came out fast and hot, and beer was cold. Will definitely visit again.

We stopped Xmas Eve. We were seated immediately. Very friendly staff. We had Shepards pie and bangers and mash with the brownie ala mode for dessert. Food was excellent. In all we definitely will return next year.

This is a lovely find right near 30 rock. The food is good, the prices are good, and the kitchen staff is prompt with food. The servers are very friendly but it had a little short-staffed feel to it. You can always tell the difference between poor service and short staffing, they sure made up for it. Do yourself a favor and get the braised short rib fries. OMG, it makes my top 10 foods I've had. They have their own variety of beer that is $5, they have lots of specials. As a bonus, the Nintendo Store is across the street.

Found this place in 2017 on my last trip to the city , and decided to go again several times on my revisit to nyc lovely staff and a big shout out to Josh very attentive and a friendly guy , if I lived in the city I would be here most days for a drink , the food is very good as well I just had the chicken wings mild very tasty hope to go again next time I can get to nyc

We called in for lunch and without a doubt this was one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made. The food was disgusting and was sent back after one bite. We were still expected to pay the bill and got no apologies from the vile staff. Do yourself a favour and keep walking past this place.

Not sure why this says closed in TripAdvisor, but we are there last night. We were looking for a pub near Top of the Rock and the menu looked good. Staff were pleasant. Food was surprisingly good. My husband really liked the Sean’s Red . Was a good meal.

Eight of us came from out of the tri-state area and met at Sean's to watch the Rangers and Giants before heading to Rockefeller Center. Spent three hours or so eating and drinking. The place was busy when we arrived (and remained that way) but they were able to get us a table within a few minutes. Appreciate the patience by our waitress Cleena and the bartender who changed channels on the TV to accommodate us. The multiple choices of draft beer is excellent (we had many) and the food, other than the lukewarm fries, is very good for a bar. This is a solid choice if you're in the Rockefeller Center area of NYC.

Close to Times Square, this Irish pub/ restaurant is a little gem. We had good food here and good service. We enjoyed our meals here and can recommend to others.

Terrible food. Cold. Beef stew had hardly any meat. No veg just boiled potatoes. Starter and main course arrived together when we specifically said to separate them. The burger was also below par. So disappointing.

We were looking for a place to eat and drink after a tour of Rockefeller Center. We were very glad to find this place. The food and service were excellent. My Malibu Sunrise drink was refreshing and delicious. We had the spinach and artichoke dip, waffle fries with short rib, and kale and cranberry salad. All were satisfying and very good. Not over-salted. The atmosphere was warm and friendly too. I'd highly recommend this place.

Dropped in on our last day in New York and facing 17 hour flight home. John our waiter was excellent - funny , friendly , efficient. Food was excellent - cocktails really good. Excellent value - highly recommended

After a poor experience at RT60, Sean’s bar was brilliant. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great prices. We had a brilliant time.

Great Irish bar in NY. All the features you would expect. Wide beer selection, great food and service was excellent. Good value too considering the area.

Great pub food and friendly service. If you want a little quieter spot that’s not far from the hussle and bussle of Times Square.

Visited here after reading reviews and wasn't disappointed , very busy( probably due to all day happy hour prices) with a great atmosphere, we had the home made curry and lamb stew , both meals absolutely delicious washed downed with a few drinks at very reasonable prices considering where you are, enjoyed the experience so much we went back a couple more times

staple for great bar food and guinness in NYC. just fun with your friends, and affordable. great service for NYC. loads of screens for sport inc UK footie.

The food and the beer was very good. The atmosphere was pleasant and the stuff was very helpful. Everything was clean. The location is ine street away from time square center.

Absolutely fantastic place from friendly staff to amazing food would highly recommend Sean’s bar and kitchen and very reasonably priced we were made feel so at home wit fast service to little chats in between would give it a 10 out of 10 will definitely look it up next time we’re in New York Sandra Gorman x

This is a great place for a casual meal. We were seated promptly and received good service. The food was excellent and the location was perfect for an evening show at Radio City Music Hall. They had vegetarian options on the menu. We will definitely return the next time we're in New York City!

I had for lunch a cheeseburger with mashed potatoes. The food is very good, the place looks clean, the service is efficient.

From my first conversation with Ash (#1 - there are two of them), I knew we were in the best of hands. My son was running the NYC marathon for the first time and we wanted a spot to gather for some Guinness and finger food after the race. We reserved for 25 and the day before grew to 40 and they didn’t even blink. Perfect private space upstairs for our party with our own bartenders and servers. Food was absolutely amazing! Cheeseburger and chicken parm sliders, awesome wings, quesadillas, mini Philly cheesesteaks - REALLY good solid delicious food. Great pours for the drinks as well. They were just so nice and wonderfully accommodating - can’t wait to have another occasion to celebrate at Sean’s. Thank you Ash!

We arrived in a busy evening the week before Christmas and expected a wait for a table. The lady who greeted us was lovely asked us to get drinks for 15 minutes, however soon came to take us to our table. When we sat at the table our waiter soon came over with a face like thunder. No introduction or chat just rather snappy. We continued to order food when it came we were impressed with portion size and how quickly it came out. Another lady and gentlemen in the meantime came to the table who were polite enough. When we asked for the bill the waiter threw it onto the table because he was too lazy to walk any closer to place it. The 20% gratuity had already been added which we accepted. As tourists in the city we appreciate it is good practice to tip. He took the payment and again proceeded to throw the card back to us. At no point were any manners used in any interaction with us or did the waiter crack a smile. We had been recommended the place by a family member and had we had any other waiter/waitress I'm sure our experience would have been totally different.

The food was excellent, the service was 5☆ and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend this bar.

Sean's has become my go-to haven for a good meal and/or a few good drinks when in the heart of NYC. I've been here many times and have always been satisfied with the food, the service, and the whole SEAN's experience. It's everything you want in an Irish Pub in the greatest city in the world. What else can I say, other than I'll be back, many times over.

Had a lovely meal here with family one late evening - great selection of drinks, very nice food options for adults and kids alike and friendly, attentive service all contributed to a nice evening. Would return!

We sat outside but did not enjoy good service-once we got our food, no one ever came back to check on us or get us drink refills, so maybe try indoor seating if you go. The salad (kale/cranberry) and sandwich (BLTA) were okay. Nothing special about the visit, food was okay, but better service would have made this a better meal.

Had this on my list of bars to visit after searching TripAdvisor prior to our trip. It did not disappoint. Friendly chatty staff. Good choice of beers and cocktails. Try the Irish Mule! Make sure you look at the ceiling lights, they,re ace!! Would definitely recommend.

Cozy bar and kitchen in the heart of bustling NYC. It's an Irish pub with an extensive menu. We enjoyed a delicious, juicy hamburger with side dishes. The service is friendly. Definitely recommended for relaxing with a delicious beer and dinner after a day of strolling through downtown NYC. One area for improvement: it was quite cold in the restaurant area; the air conditioning could be turned up a bit.

I have been to this bar before and it didn't disappoint. There is a really good vibe in the bar, very buzzy. The staff are great and happy to help you with choosing drinks, food, etc. They have a great selection of drinks, beers, cider, of course Guinness and a wide range of whiskeys if that's your tipple. We had breakfast there and the food was lovely. I would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

Just a really decent nyc bar. Great food and drink. Really friendly staff. Guinness is very good. We always meet there after work

SEAN’S BAR & KITCHEN is at 42 W. 48th St., not far from Times Square, in New York City. We can’t say too much about it, other than we wish we’d found it sooner! After a day of travelling 6 hours by train from Vermont, we were exhausted so didn’t stay as long as we would have liked as our beds were calling. Earlier, we had had a late dinner at the nearby Hard Rock Cafe and while we usually enjoy our visits there, we were disappointed with the quality of service and the drinks. We therefore ditched the Hard Rock Cafe and sought out Sean’s. In the Hard Rock Cafe, they were charging draft beer prices then surreptitiously pouring the drinks out of smaller bottles but still charging the draft fee of $9.00 a drink! Meanwhile in Sean’s Bar, we were swiftly served real draft drinks at only $8.00 each, plus more beer for our money. No short measures here! It just shows that you can never go wrong with an Irish bar, and the next time we are in New York City we will be making a beeline for Sean’s!

My sisters and I went away with our dad who has cancer and this particular night we were merry and reminiscing. We had already had a few drinks when we went into Sean’s. We were laughing and being jolly but the staff said they’d only serve us one drink. The whole time we were there the two members of staff there were staring at us, laughing at us and making us feel like rubbish. We were just talking about when we were kids and remembering the good old days. It was an awful experience and the two staff there really need to not be so mean and judgmental.

Fancy a drink. We received a very hospitable welcome and were given a nice seat at the bar. After a few drinks, which were affordable by New York standards, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Tasty salad and excellent curry. Service was very friendly and attentive. Recommended!

This restaurant had great food, drinks and plenty of both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. No reservation needed. They will bring you out a giant appetizer in a "kitchen sink" looking dish. So fun! The wait staff was all great too!

came to this nice irish bar on the way home, for a quick pint, the prices seemed similar to most bars, was quite a large bar with friendly staff and customers This was around tea time so not sure what it's like in the evenings

The Cobb salad we shared was delicious, the 🍺 was good and the service was excellent...so why only 4 🌟? Well they automatically add 18% then suggest that you add another 18%! Does the original 18% go to the staff? I was also disappointed to see that the busboys were all Mexican men - why aren't they hired as bartenders or waiting staff? As you can see from the photo of the bill, they add 18%, then leave a space for another tip, and have the audacity to suggest that you could add up to 22% which means you could end up adding a 40% tip. I would like to see the management respond to this review.

Everything was very, very good! Great service, good food and selected beers! We'll be happy to come back! Good location

I My husband and I were on a honeymoon trip and went for two dinners in this very nice Irish pub style restaurant. We ordered two burgers (mine was gluten free) and they were really yummy! Prices in the norm but abundant and very good dishes. I really recommend it.

Spent a week in NYC and a visit to this bar was the low point. Basic service was appalling. The manager took exception to me refusing to give my credit card so it could be kept behind the bar until we had finished. Went in to bar and paid up front instead. Told us to get with the NY system! Might be better idea to get up to speed and get a card reader like the majority of businesses. Ignorant, belligerent oaf of a manager. Made me embarrassed to be Irish.

Loved it in here. A big shout out to Danielle and the other great girl behind the bar. Thanks for a great night. Janet and Adam. Manchester England

Had breakfast here yesterday with my other half....the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. The menu had a good variety and wasnt badly priced. Would recommend!!

We visited Sean's a few times whilst in NYC. Even though they were very busy on our first visit the owner (well I think it was) still managed to accommodate 8 of us for drinks. We then decided to try the food and were not disappointed. We had burgers, pizza and chicken tenders all delicious. We visited a couple more times after this and on each occasion a table was found. This bar has a great atmosphere and service. Sean's lager or pilsner is a must. Well worth a visit.
Excellent!
Stopped in for dinner after a show. Party of 5 was seated immediately. Wait staff was very friendly. Menu was very good, lots of choices. I got the daily burger special, a Tuscan burger with mozzarella and roasted peppers. YUM! Other dinners included a chicken pesto sandwich, hot Rueben sandwich and a lamb burger. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Would definitely recommend!
