Serafina Broadway W 55 th Street NY Just been for lunch after been walking all morning in NY City Dirty fork on the table staff not interesting in what the doing, not a smile, Lady Owner beyond the bar saying, if they don’t have dessert give the bill ( and I didn’t ask for the bill ) and unfortunately for her I’m working in Restaurant as well so I know what’s going on , anyway: 2 Pizza 1 Margherita / 1 Bresaola 1 Glass of Prosecco 1 Glass of wine Tap water, and nothing else 80.57 $ + obviously suggested a tip of 18% 20% 22% So + 18% 80.57 + 14.50 tip including tax 94.50$ My fault i should know better, Don’t you think a bit over priced?

Delicious food!

By pat l |

We headed for an early supper and arrived about 5:15pm and got a table without any problem. By 5:30 or so, the place was full and many people were waiting for a table. The food was EXCELLENT! I enjoyed the lobster ravioli so much! The restaurant is nice and the service was very good, too. Our only problem was that there was a constant stream of traffic by our table so that it felt a little like a highway.

Not This Serafina

By GoldnAdvice |

I am a regular Serafina client and I usually go the Osteria on E 58th. I assumed this would be the same. Well it was such a disappointment! The coffee mugs smelled egg, the food was tasteless and horrible and the service was blah. I cannot think of a good thing to write about this place other than it has a good location near times square and probably that's why they don't care. Really Disappointing.

Serafina is a place where everyone feels at home. Fabulous Italian Cuisine

Serafina is a place where everyone feels at home. Fabulous Italian Cuisine. The perfect place to eat italian pasta and pizza. We suggest to try the pasta paglia and fieno and pizza margherita!!!

Great restaurant

By Serge v |

Great friendly service, great and nice like it is supposed to be.. the food is great and in a nice price range compared to others in this area.. I ate alone and even I had great dinner

Not Worth Your Time & $ For Breakfast

By Dogmama66 |

Continental breakfast was complimentary for Time hotel guests, Ala Carte breakfast was waaay too expensive. Food was below average & our order was not right. No ambience. Not worth it.

Pleasant, Italian Delight Near the Park

By Peerssa |

Personnel at the Marriott Residence Inn Central Park mentioned this place among others as good place for a quick lunch. It is less than a five minute walk away from the hotel and just three blocks from the south end of Central Park. It features great salads and breads along with very good wine and beer selections. Cost is very reasonable and service is excellent!

Terrible experience

By JosephR |

Overpriced, underwhelming, hotel buffet scam. Do not order from the menu. Simply pay 35 dollars and pay the automated tip charge. We ordered from the menu and were given old food from the buffet and the portion didn’t match its quality, freshness or flavor. The portion of three ornately placed palm size pancakes that were small flapjacks at par to ihop highway food was disappointing and borderline scam for its price. The rest of the plates were from the stale Buffett. Ask the waiter for anything and they are also lost in translation. Choose anywhere else for breakfast.

Nice well located Italian restaurant

By Southtraveller_12 |

We had a nice dinner here. Tasty Italian food, well prepared, fair price and very kind staff. Very convenient for a pre theater Broadway show without the looks of touristic crowded place.

Nice location, decent service food is just okay.

By Mary S |

This restaurant is ideally situated for many diners. Not far outside of the theater district and central park. It is pretty inside and the service was very attentive . We found the food to be very bland. They offered a nicely grated Parmesan and I added some red pepper flakes to enhance both the lasagna and eggplant Parmesan two staples of Italian restaurants. It’s reasonably priced but not a restaurant I would hurry back to.

Good Italian restaurant

By Bogdan2005 |

We had dinner at this restaurant. Food was very good and so was also the service. We had pasta based dishes and wine and it was all good. Very good service as well. Report quality - price a bit unbalaced though.

Delicious food in a cozy New York spot—but be prepared to wait!

By Dietrich D |

We had reservations, but still ended up waiting for our table. It was just around the corner from our hotel. Well, it’s New York! The space was small, the tables were snug, but the food was amazing.

Interesting option for a meal in NY

By William F |

Very good restaurant, nice Mood, frequented by locals. Very good meal for those who are walking in NY. I suggest booking, but I wasn't full when I went.

Great Food, Great Environment

By Su Al |

We went to NYC to meet some friends who were visiting for the first time and one evening we took them to have dinner at Serafina's. The food was great as usual, and the service very good. Every meal we've had at Serafina's when we are in Manhattan has always been excellent. Highly recommend.

Celebratory Dinner After Ballet Recital

By David B |

As a table of five, we came after my daughter’s recital of The Nutcracker at BMCC a few blocks away. We were led to the 2nd floor to a banquette/booth. We shared calamari and bruschetta, then for entrees, I had chicken Milanese-delicious and big. Mother in law had rigatoni bolognese, daughter had pizza, sister in law had linguine vongole (clams) and my wife had spaghetti squash which was not what she expected nor did it have any taste. Happy holidays! Enjoy

Good Food, Poor Service

By Denise H |

Pizza was very good and dishes were good but service was poor and we were automatically charged 20% tip bc 10 in party. But there was still a portion to add a tip - if you weren’t careful you’d add a tip. We were given dessert menus and then no one came back for over 15 minutes as if we were an afterthought.

Great food, but understaffed.

By 5280familytravels |

We had an excellent meal here after seeing a matinee. The food was fantastic. The calamari and meatballs for appetizers were a hit and all six of us had different pasta entrees and not a bite was left over. The only issue was the service. It started off great, but as the restaurant filled it became obvious they were understaffed. Normally I’d take off more than one star but I understand the it’s still hard to find good staff post Covid. The servers were great, just slow to respond and clearly stretched thin. We had more than enough time to wait but for those who light have been heading to a show it might have been an issue.

Excellent restaurant

By Karine Oméga |

Zero foul! Everything is delicious and generous portions. It’s not Awards you’re used to in France but it’s New York and everything is exorbitant

Nice Italian restaurant

By Sal51275 |

We spent a nice evening in the restaurant. Paid around 50 dollar per person, which is good for New York. Had truffle pasta and rocher dessert, which both tasted good

Good experience

By sashaunofficial |

If you are seeking for good, and well designed meals, as well as professional service - this place is for you. Salmon & tuna tartare was great.

Exceptional food and service

By MARTYN S |

We had a wonderful late lunch / early dinner here in August. The service was fantastic and friendly. Food was quick and was exceptional. Nice glass or two of wine. Best meal we had had for while... and best in New York.

Very good Italian Cuisine

By Brebella |

Serafina is a very good restaurant with original Italian food 🥘. I was there with my family for dinner and we all had pasta 🍝 eccept for my oldest son who had pizza 🍕 The pasta was delicious and cooked properly 😉 Dessert are amazing as well, from the tiramisu to the pistachio tarte… heaven! I would recommend it. Prices are similar to other good restaurants in NYC

A delicacy

By giorgio o |

It was truly an unforgettable dinner. I ate spaghetti with lobster of great quality in this cozy restaurant also with reliable staff

On Broadway

Excellent Italian restaurant adjacent to the theatres. Impeccable service by friendly staff. Good selection of pasta dishes to choose from. Recommend that you give it a try.

Wonderful food and felt very safe...

By AnnieHarbor |

While walking to our vacay apartment after a family visit, we were hungry and restaurant “shopping”. Serafina looked so inviting with its beautiful ambiance, sparkling lights, and parchment paper wall sconces. The maitre d’/manager invited us to select indoor or outdoor seating and, after selecting indoor, he offered us a choice of 5 different tables. We were allowed to pick the table that made us feel most comfortable. The restaurant was busy, but their extremely large plexiglass shields and wall mounted hand sanitizer dispenser close by allowed us to feel safe. Our waiter, Jose, was very attentive and personable. Although he had multiple tables, he didn’t rush us and patiently explained the specials and other menu items. The fruit de mers with squid ink fettuccine special sounded wonderful and was absolutely delicious. When I just felt like comfort food spaghetti and meatballs with marinara (no other sauces or accoutrements, please!) , Jose took my order with confidence (even though it wasn’t a menu entree) and the culinary staff made it to perfection with yummy meatballs. The artichoke, potato and mixed veg side dish was delicious. We live in northern Michigan and we too have experienced increases in menu prices and even bits of surliness occasionally due to the trials of COVID. (We later learned some restaurant staff experienced tragic losses, major family or business burdens; so, perhaps a bit of surliness might be overlooked?) Thank you, Serafina staff, for giving us a lovely, easy paced evening with great food and helping to make our first trip anywhere in 1 1/4 years (yes, we were both double Pfizer vaccinated!) a memorable one.

Vegan problem

By cecilia rodrigues |

My mom it’s vegan, she asked for a plate with no butter, no cheese, as her plate arrived she felt the butter, we asked the kitchen to do another plate, and they argue with us saying that we’re no butter later on he admitted that was butter on it and they couldn’t do nothing for her, we asked the bill and they still charged her food, even though she didn’t ate. Terrible 😢 it ruined my last day here in ny

Great food!

By Katie |

*April 2019 Of the 5 nights we were in New York, we ate at Serafina for 4 of them. The entire family loved the food, and it was easy to get a reservation with all the locations. Definitely recommend Serafina!!

Great food but make a reservation.

By Chris F |

The food and atmosphere are wonderful but the hostess would not seat us despite there being many open tables —because “people with reservations would be coming soon.” This despite open table having available slots, by the way. We were disappointed and did not have that experience at another nearby restaurant, where they went out of their way to accommodate us. I can’t zap the food — it’s excellent. The service is also good. But… one host was busy trying to find us a table and the head host ended that endeavor quickly and somewhat curtly. The food is worth it, however. But make a reservation.

Next time I come to NYC...

By Maria |

I'll be back to this little gem. One of the teachers that attended a teacher conference at Columbia University and I saw this nice little place on our way back from checking out the university. We were going to order two entrees, but decided to share some appetizers, salad, and dessert. Our server was a hoot, and very Italian (smile). He gave wonderful recommendations. Sitting on the patio right after an afternoon rain added to the experience. I see that there are a few around NYC, hoping they've branched out west, haha!

A unique place with coziness mixed with YUM

By Michael F |

From the outside this restaurant may just look like any other but when I went inside, it was the same once we placed our order it was cozy. In fact I was a bit tired, so I tried to take a nap and I was able to do one on a napkin as a pillow and the food was insane!

Great place for dinner just outside the busy part of Times Square

By DJH1975 |

Had a really nice plate of pasta and the staff were polite and helpful. Not overpriced given the convenient location. Outside seating available but it’s on Broadway so is a bit noisy. That’s not really the restaurant’s fault though.

Excellent Italian restaurant

By philde13 |

Very nice Italian restaurant quick service everything is very good from focaccia to pasta and fried squid They're just maybe a little too fast but really it's to say something because it's really very good Go ahead with your eyes closed

Good Italian

By George C |

Looking for a restaurant before a show we came across Serafina. Glad we did / good Italian food , great service and atmosphere - the brushetta was brilliant! Good vegetarian choices - Will certainly be back next time we’re in New York.

Viva Italia!

By marco5134 |

Excellent Italian restaurant. We tested the one on 55th Street twice. We tasted pasta with oil and garlic, farfalle with limoncello and shrimp, lasagna… Delicious! A little expensive… but it’s Manhattan!

Not worth the money

By Ashley R |

The food was fine, but not worth the $100+ we paid for two pasta trios and two glasses of wine. The server took forever to greet our table and when he finally did his OPENING line was “Are you ready to order?” The food came out quickly but I must say the experience was not what we were looking for. The tables are PACKED in like sardines, the prices were high, and the service wasn’t good. Redeeming Feature: I screwed up and booked the other Serafina location instead of this one and the hostess was VERY kind about accommodating us anyway.

Great Find!

By Chippywarner |

Lovely place with excellent service and food. So good we went twice in 4 days! First visit I had Orecciette (spicy sausage and broccoli which was delicious. Visit two I had Norcina pizza which was also excellent and cooked perfectly.

Good Italian restaurant

By caiohenrique83 |

Quality Italian food. Dishes well assembled and well seasoned. Reasonable price. Overall a good restaurant. A good meal for sure.

Perfect for pasta lovers

By MissyR42577 |

I am a huge pasta lover and wanted good pasta during our trip to New York. We stumbled upon Serafina while exploring and wow.... it was amazing. Some of the best pasta I've had in a long time. Highly recommend

Bait and switch

By worldtraveler |

When making a reservation at Serafina I was sent a welcome gift of $35 off a $100 meal if I downloaded the in kind app to pay. But after eating and trying to pay I was told too bad, that offer didn’t work at all”this location “ total deception and ripoff

Rudeness Serafina Broadway

By María Elisa |

In all my visits to NYC the experience with one of the , I reckon, manager, short stature men with grey hair ,was to say at least dissapointed. When he saw me and my nephews and sister just gave a nasty look and step away . I commented the bad manner to a nice lady helping with the reservation and a few minutes later he just approached and say that we needed to wait longer ( also in spanish , “esperar “ ). This is not definitely the way a client shall be treated and specially when you felt that perhaps your accents or proudly my country of origin is from latinamerica.

New restaurant/ good place for pasta and pizza

By bertaviajes |

I was at Serafina three days ago. Nice restaurant, not very noisy and very good pasta and pizza, good value for money compared to other restaurants in the area. I will definitely come back.

Great food and ambiance

By David C |

Very tasty food, nicely presented, relaxing ambiance, and swift and efficient service - what else could you ask for? Thank you!

The Manager kicked me out in the rain

By Kuznetsov A |

It was rainy and I asked to sit down and drink coffee. The Manager kicked me out, even though there were free Parking spaces. I am a photographer and have worked for this restaurant, but in a different part of the city several times. I just wanted to have a coffee with a discount and wait for the rain to stop. This made it particularly frustrating, because I was kicked out in the rain.

Delicious

By Alec k |

Delicious food, we had drinks, dinner and dessert for a family of 4. We all enjoyed our dinner very much. Would recommend this restaurant.

Great Italian

By NeilW61 |

Ate here on Saturday night. The staff couldn’t be more attentive. Great place to eat just a stones throw from Time Square and Central Park. Food was amazing the chicken Milanese was superb. Would recommend this Italian to anyone couples or family

Ambience and food good, but 2 things didn't work at all

By Petra W |

The ambience and food were really good. What really bothered us was that there was no bottle of wine under 55€ and the end was a bad way to end what was supposed to be a lovely and delicious evening. Without asking us or talking to us, the waiter added a 20% tip to the bill. That was way too much and a total rip-off. We won't go back.

Nice little restaurant

By LandlockedNoVA |

Enjoyed our visit to this corner eatery mid-week. We had a reservation and were seated while we waited for 1 more person, which was nice. We took our time with the menu and ordering drinks and salad to wait for the other person, but wait staff never rushed us. Good wine selection. Nice to have entree choices under $30 each. Enjoyed the Gnocchi, Lobster Ravioli, spinach/goat cheese salad and wine. We would definitely return.

Lovely restaurant though rather pricey

By Lavender Tiyesa Brown |

This is a lovely restaurant ,a bit pricey though. However the food & cocktails were fabulous we did not feel rushed as we sat & chatted away after the meal. The staff happily added another chair, cutlery etc for an added guest. They also sang Happy Birthday & gave us a complimentary cute little birthday cake & sparkly candle. It was a great experience.

Terrible management overpriced

By CityGirl3332 |

We used to go almost once a week for years, while we live in the corner, the food was good, service ok, affordable. We went this evening, first we had to wait almost one hour and 3 tables were empty, service slow, my chicken salad was full of pesto ( I am Italian and pesto is used not on the salad but only on pasta....) price is not the same it used to be. We spent much more than having the best sushi .... we understand the difficult moment and bad economy, but is not overpriced that they can make money, this evening they lost very good clients

That's exactly how it should be: Italian feeling on Broadway

By Alxbavaria |

Reserved online, friendly welcome, we could choose between inside and outside. There is more to see outside ;-) Very nice staff, nice varied menu, food was very tasty. Service attentive, price level reasonable. The two of us had 1 starter, 2 pastas, 1 dessert, 3 wines and 1 limoncello for 180$. We would gladly go again <3

Very good food

By Pat R |

The steak is to die for. Pleasant atmosphere. Good staff. You can eat inside and outside in the covered area.

Beautiful food

By Tee |

Managed to get a last minute reservation and we were not disapointed at all. The food was delicious, as too the wine. The waitress may have been new because we had to repeat our order but that wasn't an issue at all. It was recommended to visit and i loved it

Would you like fish flavored bacon with your pancakes??

By Julia R |

We met friends for brunch at Serafina Broadway the Sunday before Labor Day. We tell the host we have a reservation and he looks at my baby in his stroller and says, “Does the stroller have to come in?” I explain that the baby is too young to sit in a highchair so he has to stay in the stroller. It’s 11am on holiday weekend so the restaurant is almost empty. He seats us at a table near the front door. Then he stands behind the hosts podium and keeps staring at me and the baby. My son was never loud or crying he was happy playing with his rattle. Whenever he’d laugh the middle-aged host would glare at us like we were disturbing other customers. The tables outside had people but there was only one other table inside the restaurant (and they were on the other side of the bar). This man behaved disgustingly. I was furious but I ignored him so our friends wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Some people just hate children. I ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were okay but the bacon was AWFUL. It tasted like FISH. At first I wasn’t certain but by the second bite I was 100% sure that the bacon had been fried in a DIRTY PAN!! The pan was first used to cook salmon and THEN the bacon was fried in the fish grease! I used to think you could ruin bacon if you burned it… I was so wrong. How lazy can you be?! Is it that hard to wash your damn pans? This makes you wonder what else they are not cleaning behind closed doors. I asked the waitress to take the bacon off the bill and bring us the check. I just wanted to get out of there. Serafina is two blocks from our apartment but there are cleaner restaurants in the neighborhood where the people aren’t rude and the kitchen isn't dirty. The food isn’t good enough to miss. We're not going back.

Intimate dinner for 2🥰

By Patricia W |

I enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere. This place was very nice it was located in an nice location and when went in before dusk, so when we left it was quite dark and we still felt safe. The waite staff were very attentive to our needs as requested.

I'd go out of my way to find a Serafina

By Liege-Bastogne-Liege |

gotta say, loved it. In a city where they raised post-pandemic restaurant prices by moving the decimal point one place to the right, Serafina still offers lovely food at affordable and relatable prices. Thank you for that! And thank you for a wonderful service at this restaurant. Everyone knew what they were supposed to do here, and they did it. Nothing was a problem. And check out that amazing painting that looks like a Chihuli glass sculpture. It is lively, busy, amicable, competent and pleasant. During a week-long stay recently, this and a little independent cafe on E. 61st became my go-to's. I'd noticed a few Serafinas as I walked form meeting to meeting in Manhattan. There are thirteen across the Borough, many huddled around midtown or within walking distance - maybe I'm wrong, and that's a great thing, because I'd go out of my way to find another. And they have fifteen across three continents. Making money in F&B is hard, clearly these guys are getting it spot on.

A bright light on Broadway

By Just Outside the Hood |

Well placed in the Broadway Theater district, we chose this venue based on it’s great reviews of Italian classics for our pre-show dinner. It is definitely a bright spot in a very well lit neighborhood. It was an exceptionally cold day so we arrived earlier then reserved time to seek shelter from the elements. The sparkling, cheerful artistically illuminated interior was just as inviting as the hostess and manager at the helm— our request was accommodated with smiles. I must remark on the exceptional speed and availability of the wait and serving staff, all scurrying about in the most polite and pleasant of ways. Very friendly, very accommodating and very appreciated!! No sooner had we ordered drinks than they were placed at our table, followed very quickly by the calamari and the meatballs ordered for appetizers. Both dishes satisfied and were well received We all settled on pasta for our mains. My choice is highly recommended, the lobster heart shaped ravioli in a cream-based-tomato sauce— delicious, not too heavy. My son chose the carbonara where he swapped the spaghetti for the housemaid fettuccine. The flavor was out of this world, and the pasta just melted in the mouth. The deceptively smaller portion was extremely rich, not able to be finished in one sitting. My daughter had the penne Pomodoro which was light and fresh, although not entirely to her liking— could have used more sauce? We finished with house made lemon sorbet, a tart start with a sweet finish. Perfect ending

Good Italian choice

By Alfonso G |

It’s good Italian food restaurant . The burratta is vey fresh but a little bland . Fire oven Pizza was very good and crunchy. We enjoyed it

Really good service and food

By Dani Rosero |

Authentic Italian pasta, served with perfect temperature, consistence, really good attention, and a nice place to hang out at

Best Italian food in NYC

By David D |

Went here on a Saturday night without reservation, but they still seated us. Atmosphere much like Italy (yes we've been to Italy). Staff was friendly, accommodating, and spot on with service. As we waited for the food we discussed how comfortable we were and hoped the food would be as good as the ambiance. Well the food was extraordinarily good. The Bolognese sauce was one of the best I've ever tasted. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Although the price tag was more than I expected, we'd go there again without hesitation.

Manager was unfriendly, and quite rude.

By PB33 |

Manager was not happy that people were having fun, even though there was nobody else in the bar. Wait staff and bartenders were great though and apologized for her aggressive, rude behavior.

Nice spot for dinner

By BLC22 |

A great find, lovely pasta and salad. Helpful staff, defo recommend for dinner if you're looking for good value and great experience

Friendly service and a dish with a lot of flavor

By Dirk C |

Perfect service and adequate explanation from the employees. If I didn't have to cross the ocean every time, K would come here regularly.

Good quality high price

By Miguel B |

Good Italian product in nice and cozy place with correct service Very good dishes with black truffle but somewhat high price

Excellent experience

By Giampaolo |

Exquisite dishes, comfortable environment, really excellent pizza, very good carbonara. Quality and kindness

Nice place, great italian

By Bocasbuay |

We arrived without a reservation, reservation recommended, they where still able to accommodate us. Ordered lasagna, mushroom risotto, spaghetti carbonara and salmon. Everything was amazing, service AAA.

Disappointing and not at all Italian

By Phil S |

This restaurant really plays up its Italian-ness, with the menu talking about the finest quality authentic Italian ingredients. Unfortunately the Lasagne I had was not remotely like any I've had in Italy I specifically asked the server if this was a proper baked-in-the-oven lasagne and he assured me it was. Unfortunately what arrived was not that. It was flat sheets of freshly cooked lasagne pasta, with a Bolognese sauce poured over it. Real lasagne should take an hour or two to bake, have rich ragu and bechamel layers with a baked crispy mozzarella topping. This had none of those things. Bland, floppy and lacking in flavour would be a better description. If you want authentic Italian in New York I'm sure there are better places to try.

Unfortunately it was a disappointment

By José R |

The food is vulgar and the service has nothing special. The place is very noisy which makes the meal less pleasant. In awareness of value you will find better options.

Very Solid Italian in Midtown

By GoHeat |

Reasonable prices for the high quality of Italian that you get in Midtown. There’s something in the menu for everybody. The service was also very good. Don’t give it five stars primarily because we were sat in the back room with all the families with small children. It was very loud back there. Away from that, great place and will come back.

No Margarita

By Inspire05268709027 |

Ordered margarita pizza to go. Obviously they don’t know what a margarita pizza is!! No fresh mozzarella No basil no fresh pomodoro NO taste!! Wasted $21 Will never return!

Popular Italian

By Gary M |

We arrived without a reservation and were seated quite quickly despite it being very busy. The staff were very attentive but wouldn’t expect otherwise when the minimum tip in NYC is 20%. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals and I would have given a higher rating had it not been for the restaurant running out of Lasagna early evening.

Nice local spot -good food

By MNWorldTraveler |

Very good food. Wide variety of options on menu. Great salads, pasta was also very good. Cute local/casual vibe. Nice service

Very good Italian food, friendly service. Like everything in NY, not exactly cheap.

By Hans-Joachim J |

Very tasty Italian food. Friendly service. Not cheap, but worth the price by New York standards.

Good food, nice atmosphere

By John W |

This restaurant is conveniently located near several theaters. We didn't have a dinner reservation but went early and were promptly seated and served. The food was good. I had a tasty riggatoni bolognese and my wife had a goat cheese salad; both very tasty. Overall a nice e experience.

3 Stars for Food, 4th for Value

By K W |

Service was fast making it a good pre-theatre option, and with pasta in the $20 range it was more reasonably priced than I expected given its reputation. Plentiful outdoor seating. The food was just okay. Bruschetta uninspired and a little soggy. Orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage - it was just the leaves, which seemed boiled down almost to slime but aside from that the flavor was good and nice texture on the pasta. I would give it a 2nd chance but mostly because of the cost. If it were any more expensive it wouldn't be worth the risk.

Okay Business Lunch

By jenaranjo31 |

Overall the service was okay, nothing extraordinary. We ordered the Gnocchi di Mamma and Linguine alle Vongole Veraci, both were tasty and good in size. They provided bread with olive oil. In terms of atmosphere, I like the vibe and set up more at the TimeSquare location.

Fabulous

By Jane1211949 |

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant. I had the Filet of Bass with a Pinot Grigio sauce with leeks and zucchini that was TO DIE FOR. Will definitely return.

Delicious, but the service is unsatisfactory

By Mariia K |

We really enjoyed the dishes and cocktails. Atmosphere and environment too. But the service was bad. It all started at the front desk when the receptionist couldn't make out my last name, whose name was the reservation, made a very unhappy face and wanted to sit us down at the table outside, but I was making reservations inside the restaurant because there was wind outside and not the warmest weather on the evening of October. Eventually a table was found for us. But after that, they brought me a cocktail with a pipe, but the pipe was added right in the wrapper to a cocktail that was also confused. Not very pleasant.

Great Food-Great Atmosphere!

By Jennifer D |

Service was exceptional. They make you feel very special here! Great wine selection. I asked a question about the fish and my server answered honestly, which I appreciated. Everything from salad to entree to wine was perfection. I also didn't think the menu prices were outrageous. I was not rushed. It was nice to see that most people were dressed for an upscale meal. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Above our expectations!!!

By Arianna |

Looking for an Italian restaurant we came across Serafina and our expectations were exceeded. Very kind staff and as an Italian I can say that the food was really good; we took bruschetta as an appetizer, simple but still delicious, a tagliolino with black truffle and a rigatone Bolognese that reminded us of our beloved cuisine. Nothing to say, really recommended!!

Leather seats were either completely torn or very dirty.

By michel a |

The cuisine is okay, but there is a pervasive sense of sloppiness. For instance, the leather seats were either completely torn or very dirty, and some even had a sticky feel. Attention to detail is crucial if you aim to attract a specific clientele

Poor breakfast

By mininani |

We had breakfast as beiing in the Ddream hotel. Continental breakfast is quite sparce and they don't even ask if we prefer bread, croissants (too greasy) or this mini buns (also too greasy and hard). I just eat break, so I just have 2 half toast, half cup of squizzed orange juice and just cup of 1 coffee (had to ask for more milk, even if I asked for a half/half coffee with milk). And that for 16$... Go to the near Starbucks, you will have better for less than 8$.

Excellent food, great service!

By JOey K |

We ducked into Serafina's one evening, hoping there would be room for us to grab a bite before heading back to our hotel. We were able to be seated quickly. My wife ordered the Gnocchi Di Mamma and I ordered the Paglia & Fieno. My wife said her gnocchi was the lightest she had ever had and that the dish was delicious. My meal was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I have never been really blown away by a pasta dish, but the Paglia & Fieno was INCREDIBLE. I told my wife that it was a dish that I knew I would be craving until we could come back to NYC again.

Until never.

By Amanda Clarke |

Reviewed by Serafina Broadway Our experience at Serafina Broadway left much to be desired. For starters, pizza came to the table burned, something unacceptable in a restaurant that boasts Italian cuisine. Besides, one of the dishes was supposed to have burrata, but they just didn't put it on, without any explanation. Another negative point was the handling of the hotel discount. We were informed that we had a 20% discount, but at the restaurant they insisted that it was only 15%. After complaining, they accepted 20%, but then tried to apply 15% again, which we felt was a clear attempt at deception. As if that were not enough, at the end of the meal we were asked to tip quite directly, something that should be at the discretion of the client and not feel like an obligation. In short, a disappointing experience, with failures in both food and care and payment management. I wouldn't recommend it.

Delicious, large portions, fun family dinner

By Elizabeth B |

Delicious food and huge portions. We ate here after a long day traveling and there was something for every palate. Kids and adults both enjoyed it. Atmosphere was loud and lively- we saw a number of families so didn’t worry about bringing in our kids.

Pretheater brunch.

By ldjs |

Lovely pre theater brunch for an alumni event. Really enjoyable spot. Light brunch fare, very good fresh egg dishes, coffee and desserts. Recommend bruschetta and calamari for appetizer. Environment very pleasant and relaxed, good experience, would recommend for groups and families for brunch.

The food is the star of the show

By happymomx3 |

Our meals were delicious. However, our table was literally on top of other tables while other tables sat empty in more comfortable areas. It was almost as if our table was an afterthought and was in the way as guests and staff walked by. We were constantly getting bumped. It was very uncomfortable. Unlike other restaurants, staffing did not appear to be an issue. In fact, they had so many waiters that they were literally tripping over one another, yet they seemed totally disorganized. Service was very slow. Overall, the quality of the food may be enough to convince us to return.

Great food, service just ok

By Kristi T |

Food was great, we had Ravioli and spaghetti carbonara. It was delicious. Waiter treated us like we were an afterthought though, even though they weren’t that busy and he was standing around most of the time. Didn’t get bread like all tables around us, didn’t get an offer of Parmesan, and the maitre de is the only one who refilled our drinks, most of the time they sat empty. Would return for the food, just hope for a better waiter next time.

Excellent Italian restaurant

By Bosporos |

We enjoyed our dinner in Serafina. We liked that there are tables outside and there is enough social distancing, plus all waiters were wearing masks. The service was good and the staff kind. We ordered carbonara, pizza bresaola and some meat everything was delicious. Sweets were delicious too. We would definitely visit again

Great Italian Midtown

By ModdyinVermont |

I was in NYC on a day trip. Serafina Broadway was 2 short blocks from the drop-off point. In their very attractive dining room, I loved their Caesar Salad. Just terrific. Main course was a pasta Paglia e Fieno, with two creamy sauces. Good choices for red wine by the glass. I will go back.

Be forewarned….they have no air conditioning!

By _foodjoy1314 |

Food was actually good. If you want bread, you have to ask for it ( which we did three times) . What ruined our dining experience was the lack of air conditioning. People were walking out or left immediately after feeling the intense heat upstairs. We could not wait to get our bill. Forget asking for ice…it melted within minutes. For a restaurant of this caliber, c’mon, invest in some central air!!!!

Ordinary lunch

By Martina K |

We have ordered 4 different meals which were correct, nothing special. We seated on the bench and distance between the tables was minimum, it was like the person sitting next to me is on the same table with me because owner wanted to use every inch of the space. Didn’t like automatic charge tip of 20% on the bill without a question.

Great Italian restaurant

By alb811 |

This restaurant was wonderful. The food was delicious, the wine was exquisite. We dined here during our visit in January and again during our visit in May. Both times we enjoyed the experience. The service in May wasn't so great but we want to believe it was just due to it being a peak dinner time.

Nice but better options for italian

By Cat B |

We were going to a Broadway show and wanted to eat somewhere close so picked Serafina. The service pleasant and prompt...food just ok.

worst experience

By Jane R |

bad experience with a risotto and I asked to be vegan with butter I asked to return the dish and they charged me. Dish I didn't eat, very rude employees. butter is of animal origin, that is, it is not vegan.

Conchegante

By SIMAO A |

Nice Italian restaurant in NYC. Cozy environment. Tables very close. Very good food, highlighting the lasagna. Promotion to the slice of 20 to 24% of the account already with the tax of 9%.

Make time for Serafina

By Graeme Smart |

We are in NYC to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary for a few days and are so glad we stumbled upon this little gem we got in on a Friday without booking as it is so large really authentic Italian with excellent service I had Octopus and their special chicken salad wine was a tad pricey in my opinion. Still, all in all, superb will try to get back before we return to Scotland.

Evening meal and breakfast

By Marina W |

We were staying at the adjoining hotel - Dream Midtown. We enjoyed three breakfasts and one evening meal. Breakfast was excellent, the service was first class and the food brilliant. Evening meal was good, the restaurant was busy so quite noisy. Service was good and the food well presented. Would we eat here again - yes definitely.

Quiet & Away from Crowds!

By Joy M |

In the midst of crowds, hustle and bustle, we stumbled on this delightful quiet and absolutely delicious restaurant for lunch! Such a treat for Italian to suite everyone in our family! Clean, friendly with great service. Highly recommend and would certainly go again when back in NYC!

Surpreendeu!!

By Allan C |

It is a “net” restaurant that delivers quality and cost benefit, the pasta is fresh the pizza is good and the fish is fresh, it is worth going

Wow! This place does some business!

By Melissa W |

We stayed at this hotel and typically try and avoid hotel restaurants, but wound up eating here three times and weren't disappointed. They squeezed us in twice even though the place was packed. I noted the comments about staff shortages in other reviews, but we had quite the opposite experience. Perhaps it was the time we dined but our servers- Jonathan, Juan and Ivan at the bar couldn't have been more personable, professional or more attentive. We had a hot breakfast one morning, although you're entitled to a Continental breakfast while staying there, a few good pasta dishes, fresh salads, pizza for lunch one day and also salmon which was cooked perfectly. We were very content with our service and choices.

Holidays in NYC

By Rubens R |

Excellent Italian restaurant option, delicious dishes with taste of Italy. The nhoque is the mignon filet are spectacular.

Love Serafina Restaurants

By Vincent L |

I dine at a Serfina’s restaurant when I go to NYC. I recommend the Salmon entree and the Spaghetti Squash entree. There are several locations in the city too.

A good spot for theatregoers

By tweedybird26 |

This well located restaurant not far from theaters offers pastas, salads and other entrees at reasonable prices. The wine and other beverage prices are better than average for a restaurant in this area. The surprise was one scoop of gelato for $5. It was served with fresh fruit, a mint sprig and a cookie. Our thoughtful server made the recommendation. We didn't have a reservation for our Matinee lunch but I would make one when we return again as they were fairly busy.

Amazing food!

By Arty_mom |

The staff was very friendly. Menu3 had some vegan and vegetarian options. The spaghetti squash dish was amazing. Our group ordered a variety of items from dalmon, creammy mushroom ravioli, sala, soup, and more. Everything was delicious, and many said it was the best meal they had in NYC. The sorbet was three scooops of three different flavors for only $10. I recommend you even just stop in for a dessert and a drink. It took a long time to get our bill. I wish they served bread. Interesting arywork throughout.

I like this place

By Sunshine4me2014 |

Came here a couple times for lunch. Good food. Attentive and friendly staff. Not the cheapest place, but average for area.

No wow factor

By Kathy |

We were referred here at the end of a long day mainly because it was close to our hotel. We had not eaten all day and It was nearly 10pm. It was busy even at this time, however, we were seated right away. The tables were very close together which made it appear that you were in the conversations at each table beside you. Our order was taken promptly and food delivered in a timely manner. Our meals were warm and the taste was ok but nothing to really brag about. We had a couple of glasses of wine, which was good but very small. There were no prices for them on the menu and we failed to ask which after we received our bill, we knew we should have. They were $14 each. I appreciated that they were open, the service was prompt and it was edible. I did not like the the tables being so close together. You literally had to turn sideways to go between them which would still be difficult for the thinnest of people.

Nice truffle pizza

By Eduarda Ribeiro Alencastro |

They have all the protocols to deal with the social distancing. Temperature checks are taken, menu is virtual by scanning on your phone... Service was good. A pretty decent spot for lunch, especially if you don't have a reservation and need some place to a last minute meal

Overpriced and rude

By Loxley S |

The margarita pizza is $22 and another pizza with mushrooms, anchovies, prosciutto and pesto was $24. I added prosciutto and pesto to the margarita pizza and it became $37. When I asked why, I got a rude response and told I had no choice. I got told I should not have chosen that pizza and they “recommend I don’t do that next time”. My friend then got charged too much and they did not give her a refund. They were rude and dismissive of us

The worse ...

By Alisson B |

We went for brunch. $29 gets you a cheap omelette , 5 potatoes , 3 pieces of lettuce and watered down mimosas. Slow and unprofessional service. With so many choices in NY it’s a joke to eat there.

Return visit 5 year on!

By Andrew E |

Returned to Serafina on Broadway five years on from our first visit and so glad to say the service and the meal were up to the same or even better standards as we had been treated to the first time. We would fully recommend this traditional Italian restaurant to anyone visiting New York.

Nice experience

By Kvahis |

A pleasant and particularly peaceful place. That was good and the service was friendly. The restaurant lacked the rush typical of NYC, you could have a conversation without shouting.

Good choice, but bad service

By bubiSantos |

The food is quite good, but as a rule in New York City, the service is definitely getting worst. There is no reason to be unpolite with anyone but certainly and mainly with tourists. Would like to remind them that with our huge contribuition their jobs are secure. As a general rule most of the people only speaks English or Spanish, I can do these languages and other three. For sure I am not comming back to Serafina, and as experienced traveller would suggest their management to support a course for their staff, in Europe or South America where they find gentle people that really deserves your money and most of all a tip.

Happy pizza on Saturday

By Cyro Vicente B |

Excelent service and pizza despite its busy place - honest food and prices, considering location on Broadway. Nice and honest wine list

Dinner

By PerfectWanderer |

Our last night in Manhattan and we wanted something nice Goggled and Serafina appeared so we gave it a try If you’re looking for a welcome from staff, forget it. You’d get a better welcome from McDonald’s staff. Impression of the restaurant was it would benefit from a little tlc. Not a good sign when there are paper table clothes on top of the cotton ones! Our waiter was sullen, hardly smiled. Gave the impression he was too good to serve tables. He took our order without any interaction, dumped bread and olive oil on the table. I had to ask for drinks to be brought. The service let the restaurant down as the food was nice and tasty. If I visit manhattan again doubt I’d good for dinner again.

Fantastic experience

By Marco F |

Friendly restaurant, super helpful and smiling manager. We ate some delicious meat, excellent service. Super recommended

It's ok

By Anlisa |

The place is ok. Chairs are hard and not comfortable, and tables way too close together. You couldn't even have a private conversation. You're so close to the next guest that you can't pull your seat back without hitting the person in the back of you. My food was ok, but my vegetables were cold, so they probably had them just sitting in a pan because the other 2 items on my plate were hot. But the vegetables were cold. Overall, ok, but due to comfort and personal space, We'll think about that before going back.

No choice for the height of the tip

By Denise |

Delicious food (we had truffle pasta & truffle ravioli as well as a tiramisu - all recommended) attentive service. The price segment is a bit higher and there is no choice when it comes to the tip - 20% is added directly to the bill - I actually find that cheeky.

Amazing service

By Passport01403852601 |

The food, service and ambience here is amazing! We had a lovely waitress called Juanita on Broadway and she was so lovely to all of us :). Thank you Juanita!

Birthday Lunch

By Nanci_12 |

I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. The owner greeted us and gave my spouse and I menus to peruse while we waited for our table to be ready (we had a reservation and were quite early!). Our son met us and we shared a delicious lunch which fit into my eating plan.....service excellent and price fair. The decor was to die for and by the time we finished dessert, there was a small group of people waiting for a table. Can't wait to return!!

Very good, quick, and easy.

By therealbrianr |

We arrived in NYC around 9pm. Made a quick OpenTable reservation at Serafina. Pasta and pasta, red wine, and pasta. Yum. Three days later we needed a quick bite to eat for lunch. Again made a quick OpenTable reservation. Arrived, seated, waited upon, and food was in front of us within 20 minutes. We were out right about 35 minutes later.

Nice Italian lunch

By Wanderer581490 |

We had a nice lunch here, pizza and pasta. We spotted this place on a rainy day when many other places were very busy, with queues for tables. This place had a steady number of customers but plenty of space for walk ins too, so it turned out to be a good choice. Servers were friendly and efficient. Food good.

1145am for lunch was fantastic

By JacksBack05101 |

We walked in, only one other table had people, lot's of staff, soon every table was full! These folks can do it all.The food came out perfect and hot. Service was amazing, at one moment there were 4 servers at our table. Atmosphere, music, decor, you felt as the diner, transported to Europe, yet could enjoy staring out at Broadway. It ain't cheap, but you get what you get, and I'll bet you like it. P.S. Try the Montepulciano Zonin red wine. it's oooh la la

Italianità in New York

By marsilmat |

On recommendation eaten here with the family. Pizza, pasta and rice tasted, everything was excellent! Everyone loved it – the best we had in Manhattan, New York so far.”

Lovely NYC pizza

By tropnevad68 |

We just wanted an NYC pizza and stumbled across this after a walk round Central Park. Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend

Great food!

By teknoge3k |

We went here twice for dinner last week while in NYC. Both times were fantastic! The atmosphere is great and the service was good also. The food was fantastic both times. We really enjoyed it. I do have 2 complaints but it wouldn't deter me from going back. 1. They do not have steak sauce. The first night I was disappointed because they didn't have steak sauce and had I known, I wouldn't have ordered steak. The second being they allow DoorDash drivers to go through the dining room to get food. So every time a Door Dash driver would come through by our table, they smelled like marijuana and almost knocked drinks off of our table. This happened both times we were there. Aside from those 2 things, we really enjoyed it.

Highly recommended in the upper Broadway area.

By Shlomo S |

The food menu offered an excellent choice for both our taste and none of the dishes was less than perfect. The atmosphere was great, the service was very professional. A recommended Resturant in the upper Broadway area and reservation is recommended at list for dinner.

Italian restaurant on Broadway in the UWS

By Typam |

Local, neighborhood Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side. Relaxed atmosphere. Nicely decorated. Attentive service. The food is OK.

Uh was this place supposed to be good ?

By Ashley B |

Late arrival of pasta that tasted like a jar of Ragu sauce . We got our sides after our dinner was over because they forgot. We went here because it was right in front of our hotel .. the ambiance was nice but too bad it didn’t match the food experience

Serafina - 55th Broadway

By Coco |

We came here at 5:15pm for an early dinner before heading to the Rangers V Islanders game at MSG. The restaurant was quite busy but not packed. Our server was quick and efficient. The food was absolutely delightful! I ordered their Gnocchi Di Mamma and it was delicious, satisfying and the tomato sauce it came in was very fresh. The restaurant is positioned on a very local corner of Broadway and 55th, so it was only a short walk from our hotel room.

Fantastic

By Adrienne724 |

Fantastic food, i had Alo Olio, my daughter spaghetti squash, my son salmon. Cheesecake, great wine and a great happy atmostphere

Excellent food

By Traveller |

Excellent food - attentive service. Visited here with friends on Thanksgiving. All three of us enjoyed our meals - highly recommend

Loved my fettuccine ala vodka

By @TheRealiCheek |

Don’t think I have seen a vodka sauce with fettuccine but the pasta was perfectly Aldente and tasty. Love the optionality of the menu but I ordered what I thought was a pizza and ended up being plain focaccia bread... overall great food good value

Well located restaurant

By Marilu0901 |

This restaurant is charming, pleasant place, well served, attentive waiter We had drinks, ate starters and appetizers and then a pizza!

Not an authentic italian, overpriced

By gemthorlz |

Ordered the special Seafood Spaghetti, I advised the waitress that the ‘spaghetti’ was not spaghetti at all, more like instant noodles (this was a 38$ dish) - she didn’t do anything to compensate for this, even though the meal was left. The food and drink is overpriced for the quality, wouldn’t recommend.

A real mess

By RADB |

First visit and most likely last. The food was really mediocre..cold,bland and unimaginative. Service was a mess. Plates taken too soon, wine opened with no tasting, the noise was deafening. A very unpleasant experience.

Moderately priced, good food

By GardeningBabe |

We liked it so much the first time we went, we went back three nights later. Both times our food was very good, the service was friendly and professional. They have very nice indoor and outdoor seating. We will return on our next visit to NYC.

Very disappointed

By navypilot |

Had been recommended however, five of us agreed that this was by far the worst Italian food we have experienced. Two people stated the sauce had absolutely no flavor while another stated their meal was dry as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Service was only average but accommodating.

Lunch at Serafina's.

By Fiorea62 |

Nice and welcoming place, friendly staff, we tried several courses including very good cacio e pepe and the fish was also good al dente.

Special Ocassion

By maevie95 |

Went here with my boyfriend and his parents who came to visit from Ireland, was the perfect place to give them a New York Night! We got seated right away at about 5pm Sunday evening, by the time we were leaving there was a line out the door so I would recommend getting in early! We shared the Bruschetta appetizer which was perfect for the four of us, it was so fresh and bursting with flavor. Two of us had the Filet Mignon, one Shrimp and BowTie Pasta and one Seabass. Everyone was happy with the Entrees, even if the portions were a bit small.. it just meant we had room for dessert and delicious Italian coffees!

Get the ravioli!

By Joseph D |

Legitimate Italian food. Hand made ravioli is a must. This was the best we have had in the US. Most places do not make the pasta. Would go again. Fast service and respect when there. Recommended.

Nice But.........

By Joe G |

Had breakfast at Serafina which is right next door to The Frederick Hotel in TriBeCa. Nice European/French (?) vibe, with tiny white tiled floor, black handrails, small tables for two etc. Service was quite slow despite the restaurant being fairly empty. Eggs Benedict ($15.00), Avacado Toast ($16.00) and two coffees ($3.75 each) totaled $49.62 with tip. Food was quite good once we finally were served but I’m afraid you can do better elsewhere for the price.

Amazing food!

By debdex66 |

We were very pleased with our experience at Serafina. We booked a table about an hour before on OpenTable and loved it. The service is fantastic and friendly. The food was Amazing! I had the burrata and then the ravioli with sage and butter. My friend had another pasta and loved it. We will definitely go back.

Really good food, efficient service

By Scotty2112 |

Nice restaurant, had pizza and salad and thought the food was great. Service attentive but not pushy.

Italy yes Italy no

By Riccardo V |

Nice restaurant on Broadway some delicious dishes and artfully made like cheese and pepper and pasta Bolognese, on Carbonara unfortunately we are in another world not even close to it, not inedible but just other, overall I would happily go back some really valuable dishes.

Good Italian

By steeve |

Very good pasta cooked al dente. Perfect before or after a marathon! The wine is excellent, especially the chianti served generously. Attentive service. A very good address in New York when you like Italian cuisine

Just bad

By Gail A |

Stopped in at Serafina Broadway for a quick bite upon arrival for an overnight stay in NYC. I wish we hadn’t...it was hot inside, dingy and dark. The one great thing we ordered was a bottle of Veuve Cliquot, as we were celebrating a birthday, but the $97 price tag was not warranted in a place like this. No ambiance, less than mediocre food and really bad service...we had to see several people about errors in our order and they never completely resolved them, nor were they at all friendly or accommodating in trying to do so. All this, coupled with an angry stomach for hours after, made this stop at Serafina a one-and-done. NYC is a treasure trove of great restaurants, unfortunately, this is not one of them ...find somewhere else to go!

Enjoyable dinner

By mplstravel |

Enjoyable dinner pre-show. My salmon entree was very good. Service was good. I have no complaints but it wasn’t an experience that requires a second visit.

Expert service

By David M |

Had a nice salmon dinner and glass of wine. Quiet enough to converse. Service was helpful and attentive.

Spaghetti with lobster

By giorgio o |

Whenever I'm in New York I often dine at this restaurant. This time I went there several times also because I wanted to eat spaghetti with lobster. It's a delicious dish

Their brunch is a joke

By MooshLA |

$29 per person for an average sized omelette that comes with a small side of cubed potatoes and some green leafs is really sad to be honest. Not even sure how you can make an omelette with no taste however they were successful on that point. The service was terrible. Had to remind three times for the basket of muffins and breads the sever described to us that comes with the entree - however after finally arriving towards the end of the meal it just had one croissant cut in to 4 bites. When I inquired about where the rest of this full basket was the server just responded quickly “we are out.” Meanwhile the table adjacent must have had the last full basket. The $28 does come with a choice of ONE serving of a Mimosa, Bloody Mary or Bellini. Do yourself a favor and done across the street instead at AppleJacks which I’ve been and enjoyed 10x more. I’ll never be back here until they understand service, flavor and appropriate pricing.

Little Italy on Broadway

By ZenDark30 |

As one of many Italian restaurants in the city this one has a few sprinkled throughout various locations. Some of the dishes use fresh pasta. We arrived early and had no problem getting a table. Salads and dishes were as expected

Great spot for Italian food in midtown Manhattan

By HappyTraveler1957 |

We had a wonderful dinner here during a recent visit to NYC during the holidays. It's conveniently located on Broadway between the theater district and Central Park. The food and service were outstanding. We were there on a Saturday night and it was busy but it was just two of us and we were seated right away. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.

Nice little restaurant

By LisaT |

We ate at this restaurant as it was quite close to our hotel. The drinks were lovely, highly recommend the Seraphina champagne cocktail. My husband had one of the specials for his meal - filet mignon - and it was one of the best meals he had. I had prawns and risotto, which was also really good. Overall, a great little restaurant.

Molto Delicioso

By Barbara M |

This was my first visit to NYC and being 2nd generation Italian I have a high standard for Italian cousins to measure up to. Serafino’s did not disappoint! Service was excellent. The dinner was one of the best I’ve had in 62 years that was not cooked by my own family. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great place to eat before Broadway

By sola123 |

This restaurant is a great place to grab dinner before a Broadway show. The staff were amazing even when really busy. The food is very nice, the pasta Cacio e Pepe was some of the best I have had in New York. Fish and salads were all nice, desserts were good, pizza is hot and fresh. We enjoyed sitting on the sidewalk in the shaded tent that was sheltered from sun and wind.

I recommend

Lunch

By Tais E. |

We went for lunch... The food was very good, but we found the portions small, and the price a little high. I think there are more interesting options in the region.

A lovely evening

By Viki S |

We had a group event for 20. Attentive service throughout. All meals arrived together with a perfect amount of time between courses. Food was lovely and completely met expectations. Steak was perfectly done.

Excellent food- highly recommend!

By Jennifermq |

We ate here mainly due to location as it was across the street from our hotel. We absolutely loved the food here. Great bread, and the avocado salad was to die for… my daughter also loved her spaghetti and meatballs. ♥️

Very disappointed

By Robbo8503 |

Booked a table online having viewed premised from outside. Very straightforward process. Turned up on time and shown to our table. We ordered to start two glasses of the advertised Veuve Clicquot champagne. They did not have any…. Disappointed why advertise something you do not hold. They advised we could have Rose for the same price and we agreed. Disappointed that our meals arrived within 10 minutes of our order being taken , rather like a fast food restaurant. They asked if everything was fine with our meals although we had yet to take a bite. We explained we had only just received our meals and they did not check in with at any time after that. Tables are very close together and don’t really support social distancing guidelines considering covid cases in New York. We received out bill 35 minutes after arrival even though we faffed around deciding what to have and suggested we did not have genuine Rose champagne as it was quite flat. They pulled out a bottle of open VC and said that this was in our glasses and although we didn’t feel confident of that point and the team were uninterested. We paid our bill with only 18% tip and would have left with none but did wish to create a scene. We feel $112 including a tip for a burger and fries & lasagne without genuine bubbles wine was not best value. Our advice would be, be careful of the drinks and food you order in this establishment. We returned to our hotel to have a smooth glass of Sauvignon blanc for a fraction of our alcohol cost Very disappointed to say the least……

Great start to our visit.

By Nigel F |

First night in town having finally been allowed to fly and this was perfect. We sat in their heated pavement area which was warm and cosy. Great menu choices, wife had pizza which she never goes and thoroughly enjoyed it and not really knowing what I wanted placed my trust in the waiter’s recommendation of ravioli and it was delicious. What with that and cocktails to start and liquors to finish, it made for a great start to our visit. Thank you

Fine Italian food

Excellent atmosphere, clean ,nice and tasty food ,everyone was polite and friendly . Prices would be a little bit lower.
