Year after year we still see the same friendly faces we are used to seeing and greeting. This time they had a few new salads including a roasted eggplant salad which was top notch. The schnitzel is still great, the rice and beans, oh the rice and beans..... dont miss them. the ground beef kebab is perfectly seasoned, and of course the hummus and babaganoush are tops! dont miss it.

I don't like the food presentation here! Falafels are awful! The taste is terrible! And Boaz the servant there, wow that man is full of anger( and envy) at life! He didn't want me to finish my food, he wanted to close on purpose because I was there, even taking down the tablecloths! Not to mention that I couldn't order what I wanted because he said I could only order the sides! OK! People better go to PITA PLUS! Best service ever and food is amazing!

5 stars. Best food ever!!! I recomend it 100 % came in with family and was so good .we are more than ok with visiting again ❤❤❤❤

I never expected to fall in love with this place. We went in just to try and have been going there once or twice a month now. Shoshanna the owner and her son Boaz welcome us with kisses and embraces every time we go there even if they are real busy. Always a smile and a so good to see you. I am from Haiti and never really experienced kosher food or restaurant. I was amazed at the spices and flavors. The lemonana is my favorite drink and everything I've had on the menu is perfect... Please try it if you are in town it's so worth it.

very good kosher isreali food, even if you are not kosher food is fantastic. order hummus and pita bread chicken schnitzel and steak with rice and beans very large portions

Great meat and salads, serviced by the owner and a nice crew. Open in Pessach!!!

you will not go hungry at this restaurant. the salads at the beggining are great, the warm pita bread..... just cant get enough! we have been coming for a while now, and always have the same server.... hes so nice, friendly. love the shnitzel, the ground beef kebab, rice and beans.

The food here is always great. Best hummus in town and best home cook Israeli food. We have been ordering ftom here for many years and come to tge restaurant once in awhile. Always good if craving for Israeli home cooking! 😀😀😀

Gr8 place for ambiance and delicious food! Friendly staff and hey, when was the last time you ate out on a real McCoy table cloth! I rest my case. It's really old fashioned style with attentive help and warm ambiance. Make this fine kosher restaurant a must.

this restaurant is little of the beaten path, yet worth going to. It is like having dinner at your Israeli grandma's house. Food and service is excellent, the owners are very nice and accommodating.

This is a family owned restaurant as previously informed... They have a pretty decent menu of kosher (with supervision) food. Their lunch menu is quite tasty having the falafel, babaganouge, hummus, and a lamb skewer that is quite good. They also have a bavaria cake which is also very good. Come here often as I don't get surprises... Enjoy

we enjoyed the home cooking our dishes included chicken cutlet, braised lamb shank ,and spigala fish. all dishes were well prepared and came inclusive with pita bread and side dishes. We also ordered a group of humas, eggplant, etc tasty side dishes for the table that was excellent. Good home cooking food reasonably priced.

Never had a bad meal in this place. Fresh, tasty simply delicious! Not the best look but who cares if the food is good.

Back again for our yearly visit, we were seated immediately in a large booth in an almost empty restaurant. Service was outstanding - friendly, fast and solicitous. We ordered baba ganoush (a huge portion) as an appetizer and then were promptly given an assortment of excellent piquant salads: beet, corn, tomatoes, coleslaw and Moroccan carrots. This was accompanied by pita bread so hot the outside was toasted. I ordered lamb chops ($49), cooked rare as ordered, but woefully under seasoned, lacking a good char, not very tender and unattractively presented on a few lettuce leaves. My husband's Jerusalem mix was tender, but was also missing seasoning, as were our rather small orders of shoestring French fries. This isn't the first kosher restaurant down here where we have noticed a trend toward blandness, but hope that it is a passing thing.

Once more cane to Shalom Haifa as this is the best falafel and babaganoush in Miami hands down! Too bad that yesterday they were out of the babaganoush but we had the eggplant salad that is very good as well… I am not a Hummus person, but my family tells me that it is very good!! The pita is warm and good… they do serve several appetizer salads “on the house “ which I find very nice! My daughter had the parguiot “chicken” that was very good and tasty!!! Diet coke is on a can!!! Love it!!! The place is clean and service is quite good by the owner… this is a family ran business, so they have not let down quality!! They have tip included and they do tell you when the check arrives…. CONGRATS for that…. All in all, will keep coming back here….

If you're looking for the best tasting food in town, this is the place to get it. We visited for the first time and will definitely go back over and over again! We ordered the beef skewer with rice and beans as well as a hummus plate and it was amazing!!!! The meat was tender and well seasoned and the hummus tasted creamy and delicious! Highly recommended!!!

Food was good and plenty! We order one appetizer (gefilte fish $7) and one entreé (cholent $19,95) for two, and it was more than enough. Cholent was delicious. Besides the bread they also serve a few salads as starters, some very good, like the corn with dill. Food tasted like homemade and service was friendly. Average $20 for entreés, but you can share, and 18% tip is included in the bill.

Excellent food. The Jerusalem mixed grill was fabulous. Nice atmosphere and good service. Would highly recommend and will be back. We ate outdoors and it was very cool.

It is well located near the Aventura Mall. All kinds of Oriental food is available. Service is nice.

This place has been traditionally good in north Miami... again not the cheapest, but consistently good... they have a good falafel, the best baba ganoush in town, pretty good pita and they have small portions of house salads they offer to their guests... service is ok and again food quite good.... the place does need a major remodel, but again... you come here for authentic kosher food.... Enjoy

Family style kosher restaurant. They have a decent falafel plate and their babaganoush is very good. I also ordered a lamb skewer that was also very good... It is in dire need of a remodeling... And the bathroom could also get a face lift! .. If you want desert, bavaria cream is a nice cake! Smooth and balanced!

This place is old fashioned and needs a major remodel urgent... It is very dated but has nice food.. Family operated.... They have the best babaganoush in the area... Falafel is also quite good... Their baby chicken is also quite nice... All in all this is a place to eat somewhat homey. Service is ok and their prices are a little high as expected... Enjoy

We were in Miami during Yeshiva Week, when kosher restaurant seats are more precious than pearls. We made a reservation at Shalom Haifa and arrived hungry, only to join a long line of people with reservations for a half hour wait. The restaurant had undergone a face lift since we last patronized it decades earlier, but retained the same homey atmosphere. Once seated, service was fast and friendly and the food was excellent, the Israeli appetizers fresh and piquant, the steak cooked exactly as ordered, accompanied by tasty sides of potatoes, salad and vegetables. The motherly owner stopped by periodically to check up on us, which was very endearing. Recommended.
disappointment
We had a variety of entrees. Every dish missed. Literally, could not finish anything we ordered. The Hummus that others so like is terrible.
