Great food and service

By Ann Howard |

We came upon this place by accident and couldn't have been more pleased. They had a great happy hour Bar and food menu as well as I main dinner menu. The food was tasty and with generous portions, and the staff took very good care of us, especially our waitress Nomi, who was a delight. Will definitely go again.

We had dinner here on a Saturday. Everything was great, food was fantastic, service was excellent. My wife and I had the Fesenjoon. Definitely would eat here again.

Delightfully and delicious Persian food restaurant!

By MoghaniALABAMA |

Delicious Persian food! Kebabs and saffron rice! Lovely cozy restaurant. Our waitresses Adilla and Jenny were very attentive and kind. We spent almost 2 hours enjoying wonderful food, Shiraz wine and the best baklava we have had! The hot steam black tea was so tasty! The restaurant appears to be new with inside and outside eating, beautiful Persian artwork and we never felt rushed! Highly recommend! Thanks again for our late lovely lunch! Hooshang and Louise Alabama friends!

Great food and service

We ordered take out. The food was great! The person who took the order was friendly and when we picked up the order, we talked briefly to the owner who was also very nice and friendly. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating and looked like a nice place to eat.

Bland food

Bland flavors. Not authentic. Salmon was overcooked and chicken was rubbery. Very disappointed in the food. This is not a good Persian restaurant. Wine selection and ambience good, and hence the average rating. Service was ok as well.

Shiraz Kitchen--a must whether you're a local or visiting NYC

By happytravellerNy |

I've written Trip Advisor reviews for places around the world. Now I'm writing about this wonderful restaurant around the corner because it is just that good. Delicious food, elegant atmosphere, excellent live jazz and an exceptional wine list. But the best part is the lovely people that work there. A special shout out to Monica and Kabir, who make this terrific place truly exceptional.

Reza brings his off the charts good Iranian food to Manhattan...

I have been going to his highly rated Westchester establishment for years. Recently I tried his Manhattan Restaurant and was absolutely delighted. This is AUTHENTIC Iranian food - one of the great cuisines of the world. Dont miss it.

A cozy find for delicious food and great service

By Alan B |

I was in the neighborhood for a conference and stumbled upon Shiraz Kitchen, originally just fir a drink, which led to appetizers and dinner. My friend abc I sat at the bar and Monica, the bartender made the experience wonderful. We started with falafel and hummus. The falafel were delicious and crispy. The hummus was creamy but better with a little seasoning. I followed with the lamb chops which were devin, cooked beautifully. The rice was delicious too. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere was cozy.

Happy Hour then delicious Persian cuisine

By emme45 |

On a quiet Chelsea street next to West Elm is Shiraz, newly opened during COVID in case you missed it. Cute seating outside on a nice day, and a lovely new space inside when not, including a comfortable bar to start your night. Begin with the Happy Hour, a good deal for NYC with unique Mediterranean inspired cocktails and wines by the glass. They have a cool machine that keeps the wines fresh as if unopened. The wine list is extensive- from California, French, Italy, Argentina, Australian, all grapes and all price points. There are wonderful choices that are reasonable, but if you want something extra special, they have that too. We followed Reza’s suggestions and found new favorites to add to our list. The service is friendly, helpful and attentive, led by Nomi and her smile. Now for the food- we love Persian and Mediterranean food and have it all the time. The lamb chops and filet kabobs were perfectly prepared and the stews (ghormeh sabzi and fesenjan) were the best we’ve had in a restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Quality Persian food , excellent service

Really nice and cozy restaurant for excellent food and wine. Loved everything we ordered, the spinach boorani was perfect, the Red snapper was probably the best we had anywhere, and the saffron ice-cream was out of this world. This was our first time in this restaurant and I highly highly recommend it.

Repeat Visits in our Future

By Carolyn T |

Our experience at Shiraz kitchen today was exceptional. The ambience, the food, and the service were spectacular. We will certainly go back again because our time there and the value of our experience will draw us back many times in the future Sourabh and Kabir were appropriately attentive in making our experience pleasant. We eat out quite a bit and know a good restaurant when we enjoy one. We can recommend this restaurant without reservation (pun intended). We know you, too, will be pleased.

Delicious and authentic!

By Lisa B |

Food was authentic and freshly prepared, service was excellent. We especially enjoyed the different dips and the thick and chewy freshly baked pita. To top off dinner, we really loved the baklava - made with butter, as it should be!

This Persian-Mediterranean restaurant is excellent. Located withing walking distance of most public transit, it is easily accessible The menu offers great spreads, small plates, salads, and main dishes. The kabobs are great. Their menu offers many vegetarian options. The bar menu is chock full of interesting wines and mixed drinks. Guaranteed to please the most discriminating palates.

Good food

By Ahmed J |

I visited Shiraz Kitchen in NYC recently, and overall the experience was good. The food was tasty, and they offered some interesting dishes that stood out from the usual options. The place did seem understaffed during my visit, although this might be due to the timing since I was there around 4:30, which is usually a slower period. There was only one server handling everything from taking orders to serving and cleaning. He was very friendly and doing his best, but he was clearly juggling a lot, and a couple of our orders were missed until we reminded him. Because of this, I am giving the restaurant 3 out of 5. With better staffing during service hours, the experience could easily be much smoother.

Very Good Middle Eastern Food

By WellTraveled3 |

Very good Middle Eastern food with a wide variety of dishes in the menu and attentive friendly service. The eggplant yoghurt appetizer and spinach salad were excellent and the chicken chips and lamb chops were both very tasty. Very generous portions and a nice staff and atmosphere with outdoor seating available.
