On Wednesdays, anyone 50 and older can choose from a menu which have some dishes that are 50% off. The servers we have encountered were friendly and courteous.

We visit here at least once every Vegas trip, this time we went for breakfast. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly, quick, coffee cup remained full, food was good , very quick service, orange juice was sweet, it's just a nice comfy place that fits our budget. Oh, and it just so happened that it was Wednesday , so 50 % off bill for anyone over 50 years young.

Wife and I ate here recently. Service was great. Food was hot and delicious. This is a great place inside the El Cortez. You can get a great meal any time of day.

Went for the ambience...Prime Rib and Delmonico Potatoes! Well...the place was a little run down which I guess I should have expected that. The Prime Rib was delicious. I was surprised that you didn't even get a piece of bread with it!! The Delmonico Potatoes were terrible...tasteless and lukewarm.

We had a late night prime rib here, the meal was very good and very filling. I usually hate brussel sprouts but the way they cook them was delicious. The staff were also very nice and the room was well spaced out for COVID. I would recommend it.

best steak house around the downtown areaBest to get reservations. Price ain't real cheap but you get what you pay for and won't be disappointed

This was the only good part of our stay at El Cortez Hotel and Casino. The service was good and the food was good.

I chose this spot because it was at the end of our Pop Culture Walking Tour of Fremont Street but honestly the longevity of it being open does not boast the kind of quality food you'd expect. The steak and sauce was delicious but the veggies were literally frozen out of a bag / tasted like ice chips and the Delmonico potatoes looked great but sadly had no flavor. My mom's salad was huge and was good but it's also tricky to mess up a salad...

We went here on the recommendation of a local guide. He told us to order the off the menu Prime Rib dinner special. It was awesome and large portioned. The service was outstanding and the meal was served with some good old fashioned Vegas vibe without the celebrity chef BS of the strip.

It used to be quite easy to find meal deals in Vegas, but that is becoming a thing of the past... and in true form, Siegels is bucking the trend and keeping up this wonderful tradition. Six of us were on town for the SEMA conference and took a look at some dining options before coming to town and came upon the $16.95 prime rib special at Siegels. On our third night we made reservations for 6:15 for dinner. We showed up 9 minutes early to a restaurant about 1/2 full and were told (quite rudely and dismissively) that we would have to leave and come back at 6:15 to be seated. This was done without even looking up from her very interesting computer screen. I assume it was interesting, because thats pretty much all I saw the hostess doing for most of the night. At about 6:14 we were finally seated (only one other couple was seated while we waited, very strange behaviour). 5 of us ordered the special and one person ordered the fish and chips. The fish came with hush puppies and was enjoyed very much. The prime rib special is a generous 8 oz cut with creamed or straight horseradish (if you like it hot just get the straight chopped horseradish, lovely!), baked or mashed potatoes (with yummy gravy) and vegetables. All in all a really good deal and we all enjoyed the prime rib and the potatoes but the vegetables, yes, those are confusing. Wax beans, literally right out of the freezer and microwaved or steamed (read: boiled) to a rather stringy and soft texture. And a few baby carrots. Ahh the carrots. My compliments to the chef on his preparation of the carrots. I have eaten at a lot of restaurants and have probably prepared carrots dozens of ways over the years, but I have never in my life had carrots like these. Please tell me your secret? The soft, almost non existent mushy exterior while still retaining the delicate balance inside between leathery and simultaneously tasteless was an experience that I truly, from the bottom of my heart, hope that I never have to experience again. Here is a tip to whomever reads this: tell them to skip the vegetables and give you extra mash potatoes. you are welcome in advance. Or spring for broccoli or asparagus, it will round out the lovely beef. the service? Meh, at best. Confused staff, only one opportunity to order and drink and any question involved running into the back to get an answer. Yes, I would go again as we all left quite satisfied by the meal. I might even get the vegetables because honestly I am morbidly curious to find out if the chef can even remotely achieve the absolutely indigestible masterpiece that they had the nerve, nay the gall, to call carrots.

Have eaten here before and it used to be good. Now they serve garbage food by garbage waiters. We ordered the $15 shrimp cocktail, shrimp tasted rotten. Ready of the food wasn't much better. I'd run away from this place

We had our first meal here at around 2 a.m. sunday morning and it was delicious. My husband had the cuban sandwhich and I had breakfast both were outstanding. We came back twice during our stay, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The food was always good and hot and quality was consistant. Siegels has quickly become one of our favorite places.

My friends and I spent a few nights at the El Cortez Casino and Hotel and had breakfast and dinner at Siegel's 1941. Breakfast was uneventful for one of us due to a piece of hair found in her breakfast. Dinner made up for the mishap earlier. She ordered pot roast and 2 of us ordered the 1/2 roasted chicken. The roasted chicken was delicious! It pretty much fell off the bone. It was served in a broth with carrots and celery. What was missing was the dinner bread or rolls that should have been served with the dinner. As both dishes, the pot roast and roasted chicken had broth that deserved to be sopped up with bread or over rice. Our server wasn't the best. I'm not sure if it's policy to charge to replace a vegetable for a different vegetable or perhaps she didn't know what she was talking about. But if it's the restaurant policy to charge to replace one vegetable for the next, they might want to rethink that. We almost walked across the street to the Thai restaurant but decided to stay at Siegel's. If you decide to go for dinner, please try the roasted chicken. It's most definitely a winner. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture guys. I inhaled the entire 1/2 chicken 😁

We had the prime rib and baked potato. Excellent food and excellent service. We will be back next year. The only thing I regret is that I forgot to get our servers name so I could include her in this review!!!

This is one of my favorite places to eat, they have really good menu and food and some really good specials. My favorite is the prime rib special. It is second to none !!! The staff always does an excellent job . I just think it’s one of my favorite places in downtown Las Vegas inside the El Cortez Casino .

My girlfriend and I had a 6:30pm reservation and when we arrived the hostess sat us right away. The server didn't greet or offer us drinks until 6:55pm. Our server I noticed was so busy he looked like a chicken with head cut off. There was no bussers to offer water either. We finally ordered our drinks and it took forever to get that and it was like drop and go type of service. We ordered prime rib and it was the only thing that was good. Our server came and asked how our food was and took off. We didn't get to answer that our food was good. I wanted to ask about the history of this restaurant but there was no chance. He was way too busy. I seen Managers and Hostesses cleaning tables most of the time but the servers were trying to keep up cleaning tables too. It looked like the company is trying to save a buck by not staffing the restaurant properly. The worst service I have ever experienced in my life and I'm a gourmet food server myself and I've had better service at Burger King.

Dont bother with Siegals 41 Restaurant. Totally ignored by all staff for 10mins to be seated while girl up front was fixing some payment issue. Was sat down finally, after 11mins and no acknowledgement from the 5 waiters, I left. El Cortez should be ashamed of the restaurants lackluster service. And there was maybe 8 tables sat down. Look elsewhere for a meal!

We waited 15 minutes at the desk after making a reservation and eventually left. When we tried to ask a waitress about getting seated, she said the hostess would be with us soon. We left after waiting some more.

After playing and winning at the slots at El Cortez, I noticed Siegel's 1941 and decided to check it out. The room itself is quite tasteful and seated straight away. Good menu , well priced compared to some other high end places on the Strip. Ordered a bottle of red ($32) which arrived quickly along with some waters. Ordered side salads ( soup also available) for an additional $3 if you ordered a main which was crunchy and not overdressed. My New York strip was cooked perfectly, very tender , the Queen cut prime rib was massive but tasted great dipped in the jus and with a touch of nose blowing horseradish, just wonderful ! Sides were extra so ordered some fries, creamed spinach and a baked potato, there was may more than enough to share between two. Service was okay but the steaks were great so it didn’t matter too much. There is also daily specials like corned beef and cabbage which vary by day. Would return when next in the city as it was a very enjoyable meal !

Sought this place out based on TA reviews and it deserves the good reviews. Super friendly staff & service and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Special mention for the key lime pie (from someone who doesn’t do deserts!). Really enjoyed our evening at Siegel’s 1941 and it doesn’t break the bank!

I went in for the "special" prime rib. Well it is not on the menu, one has to ask for it. My "special" came soaking in the remains of an "au juis" bath. sort of looked well done. Three stars for now and if it is the same next time I will lower it.

An all day prime rib entree is not to be missed. The food is great. The ambiance is really cool and the pictures of Bugsy really give the 1941 restaurant an unparalleled flair. went back for a second meal while we were there...

The menu is very broad, plenty of comfort food, and everything from burgers to steak and prime rib. All the food was great - I had a Cuban sandwich one night and a filet another, wand on other visits we've tried just about the whole menu. Reasonable prices and some of the friendliest staff you'll find in town.

Yankees always win cuz everyone's focusing on their fancy stripes. Here they daze everyone with Bugsy posters and a dark ambience so you cant see the terrible low grade food and even worse rude service Prime rib isnt even real prime- and ridiculously thin 2 egg sausage breakfast? 17.00 for McDonalds deep fried "hash browns" 4.00£ for an iced tea? salad is rabbit leaf fodder and blue cheese dressing was salted sour cream. Service is nomchalant and indifferent. all about gettin a tip Hey Mr Cortez ya aint the only casino with low rate rooms!why are you taking it out on people with overpriced garbage? you should be ashamed of yourselves. Only wish ol Bugsy was around to knock you indolents into shape. avoid this joke

This place is amazing!! The restaurant is clean and bright, prices are reasonable. Service fantastic. You have to ask for the $14.99 prime rib special which is phenomenal. Seriously, the prime rib here is better than the Bacchanal buffet at Caesars. There were six of us with reservations. Only reservations would be seated. Take out available. Four of us had the prime rib, one a chicken dinner and one liver and onions. Shrimp cocktail to share. My husband and I also had a coupon for 2-4-1 burgers which we also ordered, lol. We all shared chocolate ganache cake and bread pudding. There was silence when we started eating. The prime rib special comes with vegetable of the day and baked potato. Upcharge for a different type of potato. They stopped serving rolls with butter after reopening (covid). The prime rib is 8oz; now they do have larger cuts but not for the $14.99. Hardly any fat. Cooked to perfection (medium rare was ordered). The horseradish cream was the best ever. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp cocktail had just enough kick to it. They have two burgers, we ordered one of each. Everything was fresh. The Lansky burger is phenomenal. Huge shout out to Mark our waiter. If you are in the area you must stop by. The El Cortez is not shiny and new but you will not be disappointed in a meal here. And yes, my husband and I both ate a prime rib dinner and burger/fries...........but I passed on my potato to save room for dessert :)

Lackluster prime rib, service, and ambiance. Everything and everyone there is dated. Put the dog to sleep.

Out of the week we spent in Vegas, this was the very best bargain! The $19.95 Prime Rib was not on the menu, but they knew what we wanted as soon as we asked about it. We both tried it and agreed it was fantastic. Mine was a perfect medium, and his was medium rare. Exactly was requested. The baked potato and veggies were great too. On Wednesday, the restaurant has a 50+ special for 50% off. This restaurant was worth the trip from the strip....

we were told it would be 45 minutes for a table. Sounded ok, the bar next door had a good singer, we thought it would be fun to wait there... 3 hours later, starving and still waiting for a table I now think was never really available, they just wanted us to spend our money. Not cool.

We had breakfast here. The food was good, Waitress Good. But I did notice that an older gentleman-customer told the waitress his hands were cold. She brought over some kind of gloves and put them on for him. I thought is was very sweet. I would got there again.

Well, we were seated a d our waitress came to the table right away! Her first words to us were "you want the Turkey, right". More of a statement than a question. No greeting or can I get you something to drink. As a matter of fact, after we confirmed that we did ws t the Turkey dinner and what our dessert choice was she turned ant walked away. I had to call her back to the table to tell her that would like a beverage. She brought our salads in a timely manner and before we had finished our salads she brought our dessert! She later brought our Turkey dinners and placed them before us without saying a word and walked away. She never returned to check on us or see if we wanted anything else. After waiting about 15 minutes for our check, it took me standing up and putting on my coat to get her attention. She treated the table next to us in the same manner. Sorry she had to work today. Food was good and it was kind of comical.

What a great place for dinner and on historical Fremont Street. Great atmosphere and just overall excellent experience. Best prime rib in town so if you have not visited Siegel's 1941 you are missing out.

Mom wanted Prime Rib for her birthday! After much research we settled on Siegels. The prime rib special is all day for $19.95. Served with mixed veggies and choice of potato. The piece of meat was cooked well and not very fatty. Delicious!! Ryan, our server, was very attentive! Thank you!!

We went for the 59 buck steak and lobster Valentine dinner and I will be honest I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The steak was good and well cooked with the lobster being a really nice size. Couple disappointing thing were they were out of crab cakes so they asked if they could substitute prawns. We got a measly 2 prawns. Service was also not great as it took almost an hour to get our meal. All that being said food was good and included in the 59 bucks was a salad and bottle of wine.

You can eat very tasty prime rib for around $20. The hamburgers are also tasty. Previously they used to show movies by Frank Sinatra and others on TV, but recently they have started showing sports like American football, so it feels like they have changed the concept a bit, but it remains a nice restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely like to go again.

Every visit to Vegas I make now requires a stop here. I cannot decide which I would rate higher, the consistently great customer service from the lovely wait staff, or the deliciousness of every. Single. Meal

good food... hidden specials that you have to ask about. It takes about an hour to get a drink or order food. Its gone downhill over the last few years but the prime rib special is still pretty good.

Had two tickets for prime rib dinner. Meal was very good and waitress excellent. The folks seating people though looked like a skit the Three Stooges. They had no idea what they were doing and what should have taken a few minutes took more than 20. Breakfast had different people at entrance and was much smoother. Decent breakfast.

Went out for a steak Saturday night. My wife and i were excited to enjoy a great steak at historic restaurant. Steak was to served with delmonico potatoes. Classic! I got my strip wife got rib eye. Plate showed up with the steak and a baked potato. That's it. Presentation was horrible. When we asked about delmonico potatos, we were told they were out. This was at 7:30 on a Saturday night! Very disappointing. That was supposed to be our special steak dinner. No dinner rolls, we had to order a dinner salad which turned out to be $5 each. I really regret not taking a pic of the steak. And I regret not complaining at the time. Service was not good. The restaurant has apparently stopped trying. I would not recommend eating here especially when there are so many other restaurants in the area.

We usually go on a Wednesday for the senior special menu plus we always have the option of the prime rib special. We all decided on the prime rib. It was a very nice size and delicious! The baked potato was very good. The veggies are decent . All four of us loved our dinner. Our server “Superman “ was very good, attentive and was hustling. He’s a hard working man. Our only disappointment was not being able to see Mike Nolan on this trip. Apparently, he was in a meeting. We’ve known Mike for decades and always stop during our trip at Easter. Hi Mike from the Ohio gals! Hi to Nords too, we looked for him too!

We stayed at The Downtown Grand. After living in Las Vegas for many years we returned for business. The El Cortez was always worth a peek - This time we were very happy to see that they are honoring the past in the right way - A beautiful 24/7 restaurant that is clean and new and actually classy in a downtown Vegas way! It is a gem - The staff was friendly and the menu was very reasonably priced and varied. We went 3 times!! Breakfast and a dinner too. Thank you El Cortez for not ruining what has worked for all those years! You just made it better! I just wish Fremont Street could do the same!

We have been visitors to Las Vegas for 40+ years and ate at Siegel's 1941 last night and had a great meal for a very reasonable price. Some of the reviews refer to the restaurant as a coffee shop, but it delivers as a good dinner spot also. The waitress was great and helpful on the menu items. The only negative was no bread or rolls were available. No big deal, we left stuffed on the very good prime rib and Delmonico potatoes. Appetizers and salads were available a la carte and after we finished we were glad we did not opt for more food. The restaurant is across from one of the lounges and the music was good and not too loud in the restaurant. Nice place, nice service and good food.

A place you could take your mother....thats how best to discribe SIEGEL's 1941 Rest. at The El Cortez Hotel Casino on Freemont St., Las Vegas.

I had heard so much about seigels 1941, from influencer and youtube. I was told to call one month ahead for reservations. " What A Let Down". When I arrived. I was greeted with exceptional customer service and was seated. As I looked around the restaurant was 30% at capacity at best and it was 6pm. My wife and I ordered 2 appetizers. The fried mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. We then ordered two steaks that cost $59 dollars apiece with mash and gravey along with asparagus. The steak was like butter but warm giving it a 7. The mash and gravey was on point giving it a 9 and the asparagus was simply a 5 for being warm. This meal and ambiance didn't measure up to the hype. The service was a 9 with excellent customer service.

Recently visited with friends and our husbands enjoyed the prime rib especially for the price. Other food was good and service was good

When is this place EVER going to improve? When? Been coming here for 3 years now and it never changes. Rude hostess the first night who had the nerve to tell me hey, you at bottom of list for table. This is after she told us a 25 min wait and after 45 minutes I simply asked how close we were to being seated. HALF the restaurant was empty!!! I was told as I always am that we are short-staffed!! FOR THREE YEARS NOW they are short staffed! We left & ate somewhere else. Following night we made a reservation. They sat us and I ordered 2 wines a steak for me & hubby had scampi & pasta. Server brings the wine 15 minutes later WITH my salad!! I told her you are supposed to bring the wine first! Our food arrives. I ordered the Steak Frittes and the steak was already sliced. DRY, overcooked (ordered medium rare more like medium) and it was obvious the cook didn't allow the steak to rest before slicing it!! DUH...you NEVER do that. Either that or they have them partially cooked or it was sent back then thrown on the grill & given to me. NOT ONE drop of juice on the plate. I could barely chew it. Had to drench it in A-1 steak sauce which I hate just to eat it. Oil & vinegar salad dressing on the sweet side (obviously bottled) YUK and a weird mustardy sauce in a ramekin on plate which was for what??? I would like to cut my own steak thank you. You ask WHY didn't I send it back? Server disappeared literally for 22 minutes after dropping off food! My husbands' pasta was all stuck together, shrimp overcooked like rubber bands and a flavorless oily awful sauce & too much of it on pasta. EVERYTHING needed seasoning. However my french fries had WAY too much salt on them, go figure. Never asked us if we wanted another glass of wine. Came back a half hour later, we got a cappuccino and left. WHEN is this place going to get it together?

We had dinner here twice over our 1 week trip. The portions are great and the prices are very competitive for Vegas. They have a 50% off menu for people over 50 on Wed night. It’s a limited menu but lots of good choices for all at fantastic prices. Service is a little slow but not an issue if your not in a rush. The restaurant is located in the El Cortez hotel which his quite nostalgic. We will make this a regular stop on our future trips. I had the liver and onions, the portion was huge and it was excellent. If you like liver and onions this is a must do restaurant.

Restaurant is on the pricey side but does seem to have lots of options. Burgers averaged $15 but were good. Also had prime rib chili. Was about $12 with corn bread. Was good but pretty spicy. That night they had a special with 2 walleye fillets for $30. This is a special? For a fancy restaurant, was a little surprised that the wait staff handed you your plate vs placing down on the table in front of you.

I went twice for breakfast, shame on me! The first visit I didn't get a spoon for my coffee and the bacon, cheese and onion omelet I ordered was green pepper and onion and both were still crunchy. I sent it back. The next morning I thought they couldn't mess up a fruit salad and yogurt. My mistake. The grapes had rotten grapes underneath heavy with mold. I won't go again.

Siegel's 1941 was one of our favorite dining locations on our early June trip. The Prime Rib special has gone up to $12.95, but is still an amazing value. The serving of Prime Rib is generous and very tasty. Choice of potato and vegetable of the day is included. We had the Prime Rib twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We also visited on a Wednesday and took advantage of the 50 and over specials. My Cobb Salad was delicious and at half off only cost $8.00. My husband truly enjoyed his steak and eggs on sale for $7.50 and much of my huge salad. The atmosphere is very relaxing and beverages are refilled quickly. The only downside was the Brandy Alexander that I ordered off the half price menu. I was expecting an ice cream drink, since it was listed under desserts, but got Brandy liquor on the rocks. For $4.50, it was a great bargain, but it took me a long time to finish.

I selected Siegel's 1941 based on it's location, just a few blocks from Fremont Street Experience, the fact that locals suggested it, and the potential 1940's ambience of early Las Vegas. We walked to the restaurant from the Golden Nugget. It is located in a little casino, El Cortez, and while Bugsy’s Siegel's handsome face is staring sown at you, the ambience wasn't all I'd hoped for. We did sit in a booth with the back of our heads near a window, something Bugsy would regret doing today. The service was friendly and the menu had a wide range of dishes to choose from. We had a large NY Strip, creamed spinach, and au gratin potatoes. The steak was large and perfectly cooked for my taste (medium rare) and both sides were large enough to share. If you are planning to stay in Old Vegas, I highly recommend Siegel's 1941. It won't break the budget either!

Located in the El Cortez Hotel & Casino. After a 5-hour flight, I was ready for lunch. I had a burger and fries. The thing was loaded and quite a mouthful. Service was good, too. Nothing remarkable, but a good place to stop and eat while there.

Nice restaurant, nice place, great food! Lots of history here! When visiting Las Vegas I will definitely come here for dinner! Great service, appetizers, great prime rib!

Got a nice steak and potatoes with gravy. Washed down with cola. Meal was nice and hot. No problems whatsoever. Good staff that took care of eveything I needed. It was my first time there. Give them a turn folks.

Love the old school casinos and the amazing vibe that you just don't get with all the glitz and glam on the strip. The Cortez is s gem in that regard, and Siegel's is sooo worth the trek. My wife had the BLT, chips, and water. I had the prime rib, fries, and water. Grand total before tip 22 bucks! The food was great!!! You know what it is like in the rest of America when you walk in someplace at 11 o'clock at night to eat, right? Staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast!

Great place. When you want a great meal, you will pay for it. I had the pulled pork/coleslaw sandwich.Really good. The winner was the bread pudding. Made in house! Inside The El Cortez. Towards the back of the casino.

The Prime Rib Queen and King Cut were very reasonably priced for Vegas so we gave it a try and it didn't disappoint. Ask for the superhot horseradish to clear your sinuses! We enjoyed our meal so much we went for breakfast the next day which was also good. The only comment I would make is that the service was rather casual, in fact it was so casual I found it easier to walk to the bar myself just outside the restaurant in the hotel and order my own drink which was on special so it was much cheaper. This was quicker than ordering bar service in the restaurant and it honestly didn't bother me that much. I'd go here again as for us having a really good cut of steak whilst on holiday is important without paying over the odds. The bill was about $85 including tip, 4 sides and two drinks that my other half ordered. I thought this was good value for Vegas. You can also ask for the special prime rib offer which is $10.95 but I honestly don't know what sixe that is as we just ordered straight off the menu.

A terrific place to dine with old school Vegas vibe ,attentive ask for wait staff - ask for Kevin- with collar shirts and ties ,actual cloth napkins , leather bound booths.... Great food is varied with burgers to fish to prime rib at reasonable prices Stop by Wednesdays forthe 50/ 50 menu - 50% off a select menu with a club card and 50 years of age.

been in the casino many times but this is our first for dining here--lovely place with good lighting--they have different daily specials I know--we had the new york strip which was excellent.......

Our 10.95 prime rib meal was fabulous. Perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth delicious. Served with lots of fresh vegetables and a large baked potato. The staff were friendly and efficient. Go, you will not be disappointed!

Came in for breakfast on our first day in town. This place if just off the casino floor in El Cortez. I had the chicken in waffles ( very good ) and my wife had a breakfast skillet ( exactly what you’d expect good not great ). The service was just ok as she only spoke broken English and had a “harsh” way about her, but she was attentive and brought whatever we needed. The restaurant was clean and quick which are both big pluses in my book. Overall it was a good experience. Not something to go out of your way for but good if you’re in the area.

Service was excellent. Wide menu variety for a breakfast meal. Prices were fair. Omlet and eggs/ham steak were very tasty. Comfortable seating area and quiet - just off the casino floor.

We always visit this casino each time we go to Vegas. First there’s some great people we love to see in management here. Second, the variety of machines is great. Third is this great little restaurant with lots of choices. We, accidentally, found out about senior Wednesday specials.....what a find! (Half price menu items.). The salmon was excellent, the spaghetti and meatballs were excellent. The desserts were very good. Their service was great! We highly recommend stopping in even if it’s not a Wednesday 😉

Siegels is a great place for both breakfast and their prime rib special. George is a wonderful waiter for breakfast- friendly, efficient and courteous. The corned beef has breakfast is just great and a good value for Vegas.

Like a lot of casinos on Fremont, they had ads all over for their prime rib special. We decided to give it a shot while not expecting much. Very surprised at how big and well cooked it was. The baked potato was great but the vegetables served with it left a little to be desired but I can't complain. To spend $30.00 on 2 prime rib dinners including tip is a great deal.

Other places downtown have certain hours where you can get the prime rib special, but El Cortez has it 24/7. This is very important so you don't have to wait for a specific time to enjoy the good prices. Very well cooked meal at a very good price. By far the best prime rib downtown and the best price anywhere.

I called into this place one October midday to check they offer a steak meal, one of the two ladies said yes, the other said it's prime rib. I asked again & they then both said they have steak. I returned in the evening & was asked to wait until called, it would be 20 minutes, We walked back over after 10 mins & were told we had been called several times? The place was half empty. We were looking for the steak, when a waitress came to take our drinks order, I ordered & beer & a Scotch. The young lady was a Muslim in a hijab. She declined, very politely & explained another waitress would have to take our order as it was alcoholic. We were perplexed but decided to wait for the other drinks waitress Another waitress arrived & asked for our meal choice, we attempted to order two steaks, the young lady explained they don't offer steaks, only "Prime Rib" By this time we decided enough was enough & went to leave, the two ladies at the door wanted to know what the problem was. I explained I had especially asked if the have steaks, they said they did, Prime Rib, We left. An hour or so wasted on staff that are less than accurate, not impressed

Went here our first night on Fremont street. The service was great and the prime rib was very tasty. My baked potato had a hard spot and they brought me another one right away.

The El Cortez hotel is host to this restaurant. Fun walk back in time - servers are pleasant, atmosphere is warming and the food is good grade. Bugsy's ghost seems to be everywhere.

I stayed last April at the El Cortez for seven nights. Their in house restaurant is named for "Bugsy" Seigel, the mob figure who owned the El Cortez before he built the Flamingo. Excellent prime rib and a wonderful steak and eggs at breakfast. Old Vegas vibe and good service. You'll enjoy the fine dining they offer.

Restaurant delayed opening at 7 am due to "cleaning." Sadly this trip was not the stellar service and food I had last trip. I was served cold hard almost burnt hash browns while 10 minutes later table next to me was served proper ones.

Kinda disappointing… the host/hostess station was mass confusion and really came across as a mess. I had made reservations but our table was not ready but the restaurant was only about 1/4 full. The place was clean. Not sure if they were short staffed but again, impression from the start was disorganized and a mess. The menu was limited, which was fine. However the Prime Rib special that they on all their advertising was no where to be found there … the price for 12oz Prime Rib was almost double than what their advertising posters (including outside the El Cortez hotel) .. all that is one thing but the one thing that drove me crazy- the server.. Not sure if she had been working 18 hours at that point but we maybe got 10 words out of her. We had to keep asking for water refills, menus, etc. After taking our plates, she asked how we wanted the bill. I asked her about dessert…the eye roll was long… turns out that they actually have quite a few desserts to choose from… as a former restaurant manager I ask- do we not try to upsell anymore? Anyways, the place was clean and featured interesting decor… the Prime Rib was good and the dessert was fine. I say again though, the staff/server can make or break an experience… as it did in this case

The all day American menu has burgers named after Mafia mobsters who invested in this hotel casino. Food items are tasty. Decor is muted and tasteful. Prices are affordable and service is good enough. We ate twice on our stay.

To make it short and sweet. The food was very good but service was crap!! When you talk to the hostess she made excuses for our piss poor waitress! Sorry no excuse, it wasn’t that busy. We waited at least half an hour for our bill with no results!

My husband and I were seated at a booth and witnessed who we assumed was our server wait on three parties seated after us. In addition, a hostess took our drink order and did not complete it. I had to ask for assistance from another server. The server was kind enough to notice we had been seated without being served and took our order. She stated their was miscommunication amongst servers which made no sense. I will not be returning.

A great quiet dining exprience that brings back old Vegas vibes geared to todays crowd - well decotated , real cloth napkins , well dress wait staff that;s attentive AND on Wednesdays , for us over 50 , with a players card ; there is %50 off select menu all day [ a $31 steak and egg breakfast , i paid $15.50 ] Get there and ask for Claudia

We enjoyed our dinner choices. The 3 of us ordered Matzoh Ball Soup and were disappointed at 6pm to find they only had one bowl. We decided to get the one bowl since it was big and each had small side bowl so we could share. After all, we all had colds and thought Matzoh Ball Soup would be a good choice. So the one bowl was brought to the table with 2 slices of bread. Since we were splitting the soup 3 ways we asked for a 3rd slice of bread (we did want to order 3 bowls but they ran out). We we told NO and if we wanted the additional slice of bread we'd have to order and pay for it. Now that is customer service at is worse. For main course we had Prime rib with baked potato. It was delicious. Found it odd they'd only offer corn as the potato was already a starch. The dessert bourbon bread pudding was excellent! Service was just fine. A happy waitress.

Can’t beat the prime rib special, the decor & the ambiance...but the service is subpar compared to all my other dining experiences in Las Vegas. During prime dinner hours they literally had 2 servers and 10 bussers... Server couldn’t keep track of her tables, but I blame the mgmt. Being understaffed sucks...

I'm not sure if there is another location for this restaurant -- it got some good reviews here somehow. Everything in this place was depressing. No one looked happy or like they wanted to be there anywhere in this casino -- guests & staff included. I don't think they have invested a dime in the place in decades. The music is from 50-60 years ago but at least that works with the theme and is by far the most pleasant thing about the place. Waitstaff at the restaurant seemed surly. My wife & I both got the Cuban sandwich. It was not bad but seemed to be somehow lacking flavor. I wish we had decided to try lunch at the bar down the street we had drinks at.

Had a great meal with family after some morning blackjack. Some of us had lunch and some had breakfast.

Located at the El Cortez. Open 24/7. My wife and I dined here for dinner. We shared a dinner salad. She had a Turkey Sandwich with potato chips. I had the Pot Roast. Very friendly staff. Management should be proud. I added many photos and will return soon.

Best Onion Rings in Vegas! This is an old school restaurant. Great food, large portions with traditional service. We had the onion rings as an appetizer. They are hand made on site. They were superb. The Mac & cheese with prime rib was also a hit. The prices were great. I do recommend you make a reservation so you don’t have to wait. The lady that runs the cash register has been there for 44 years. So if you want a retro dinner experience then Siegel is the place.

We liked it so much, we came back a second time. The first day our server was Barbara and I can't say enough good things about her. And the food was a decent basic breakfast. The second day, our server was OK, but didn't rise to Barbara's level of excellence. The food was still great, so wasn't a wasted trip.

Had the prime rib sandwich which is supposed to be the best in LV. Got the 2 ends of the meat which was dry, tough and horrible. Should have sent it back. Service wasn't great either. Long wait with no one in the restaurant.

Stopped in over the weekend for a very late dinner. Based off the online menu, I was expecting something a little more upscale but it's more like a cafe with high aspirations. It has a quaint cafe-style atmosphere that's typical in casinos, very laid back and welcoming. I really liked the homage to Bugsy on the wall. I knew before sitting down that I was ordering the $10.95 prime rib - it's not on the menu so I figured it must be especially awesome ... It was better! The meal comes with vegetables and choice of potato (I ordered the homemade mashed potatoes with gravy) but no soup or salad. My medium-rare prime rib came out perfectly (warm red center) and to top off a great meal, they still offered a dessert menu for afterwards. We ordered cheesecake and apple cobbler for dessert. I was super impressed that it was still fresh and didn't look or taste like it had been sitting all day. Our server was very attentive and quick to acknowledge us despite being double-sat by the hostess. We were never left waiting or wondering where our food was - the entrees took about 9 minutes to arrive to our table - and our drinks were kept full. The entire meal (from the time we sat down to the time we paid the cashier) was 46 minutes plus we had the amazing bonus of hearing live music playing at the bar across the hall!

Took friends there for a couple different meals. Very good and service. Large portions and great prices.

My husband and I went for dinner around 10pm and ordered the chopped salad and the Prime Rib special. We were both pleasantly surprised at the portions and the quality of food. Prices were very reasonable and service was great. We will definitely eat here again.

Had breakfast here recently. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was a bit chaotic - one person took our drink order, followed by a second who took our food order, followed by the first who wanted to take our food order again! They eventually figured it out! The reason for the remark about visas were the various pictures and memorabilia related to Bugsy Seigel's ownership of this motel. This was a nice touch. Some food items are quite budget-friendly.

Our waiter was great. The menu is full of comfort food. My wife had liver and onions, I had fish and chips. Full plates of food, very reasonable prices. Drinks are priced very reasonably. If you want a non-fancy meal with good food, this is a great place.

Others have described the service a chaotic which I think is very apt. One night the person at the next table and I debated why there was a 5-10 minute delay to be seated when half the tables were empty - no conclusion reached. The servings were large, the quality acceptable and the prices reasonable. On Wednesday they offer anyone over 50 a 50% discount on select menu items. They also offer a $12.95 prime rib dinner.

This is an awesome little restaurant! Food was delicious, service was great. My husband and I went here for breakfast the entire time we were in Vegas, and every time it was fantastic. Service was a little slow since they were down some staff, but we didn’t wait over 10 minutes for our food one time. They have the best coffee, and I would highly recommend Siegel 1941, and make sure to sit in Daysi’s section. She is an awesome waitress and gives wonderful service.

Siegel’s 1941, a restaurant in the El Cortez Casino is a hidden treasure! Named after Bugsy Siegel, this clubby, throwback eatery & bar offers steaks & other American fare. (Description from the website) We were just wandering around the cool, old Las Vegas area casinos, hadn’t eaten so with no prior planning, popped in for a late lunch. It’s got a great retro vibe (lots of large photos of Bugsy & Virginia) Macari was our server and took good care of us. So my BLT was spectacular, thick maple flavored bacon, fresh tomatoes on hearty bread. It SO hit the spot. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Siegel 1941 was delicious, it is a hidden gems inside the Cortez. We had one of their burgers and the meat was delicious, portions were really good and staff friendly. After going to the Mob Museum I recommend visiting this place.

My wife and I have dined here around 20 times. Why does it take so long for the food to be delivered? We both ordered the Prime Rib Dinner (already made), Baked Potato (already made), Corn from a can (already made). The food was great, but 40 minutes to be delivered to our table? I can tell you the problem that most people will never notice. Priority goes to Casino Executives and Pit Bosses. Let them eat in the EDR (Employee Dining Room), like all the other employees. Customers should come first. I will give Siegel's 1941 a 2-3 month break and see if things change.

We had coupons to use at breakfast which was very good. I actually ordered their 24 hour a day $14.95 prime rib special and highly recommend that. Everything our party got was very good and tables were well spaced. We returned for the Hanukah special dinner which was 3 courses for $22 and loved that as well.

Huge portions here, as well as a great price and service to match! I just had spaghetti and this was some of the best pasta I ever had. Such a simple meal, done right. I'll keep it short and sweet, just visit this restaurant, you won't regret it a bit!

The "El Cortez" is a relatively small hotel and casino in downtown Las Vegas. One of the eating options on this property is "Siegel's 1941". When my friends and I visit Las Vegas, the circumstances of our meal at this restaurant are the same each time... we go in at about 2 a.m. for the "special" prime rib dinner. To be clear, there are a number of prime rib meals listed on the menu. The meal I'm referring to is the plate (currently) priced at $12.95. You get a slice of prime rib, baked potato and seasonal vegetables. It's a good deal, and we've always been satisfied. Siegel's is one of the few full service restaurants that are open 24/7, located on or adjacent to The Fremont Street Experience. And after a night of festivities, Siegel's is a nice place to relax and get a full meal before going to sleep. Service levels can vary--but at 2 a.m., it's adequate. We're not complaining. By the way: the name choice of "Siegel's 1941" is interesting. The El Cortez was built in 1941--but Siegel and his partners bought the property in 1945. Regardless, the structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. After finishing your meal at Siegel's, go across the hall to check out the Parlour Bar & Grill. Take note of their Happy Hour specials--drinks and heavy finger food. That's good too.

After reading the reviews, six of us came here for dinner. The prime rib special may not be on the menu, but there is a large banner for it on the building. They also have more specials, so we got to enjoy a deal on our alcoholic beverages. Five of us ordered the prime rib special. It was tender & tasty. The service was very welcoming and the retro decor was fun. The tv's are playing sports, but one had old movies running to add to the vibe. Being just a block to the Container Park, we could enjoy a lovely dinner, then take a walk to see the sights.

Popped in here for the Prime Rib dinner and was very satisfied with the meal, served as ordered, one medium rare, one medium. Our server was fantastic. The only downside was the drink I ordered - an Old Fashioned. Was not very good but that’s a small detail considering how good the food was. If I’d had a beer or we’ll drink instead, I’m sure I would have been happy with that. Will definitely go back again.

From the french fries to the pot roast everything on this menu is tasty and good. No fancy TV chef just reasonably priced good food in Vegas.

We wanted to experience Siegels 1941 because it was in old Vegas (near Freemont St). We made a reservation for 10:30am. We had to wait for 20 minutes for our table. There was 1 lady at the register - she was cleaning tables, setting them up, taking care of TO GO and cashing out customers! We were finally seated - Our waitress had 7 tables. She was so overwhelmed, she forgot part of our order, never got us a 2nd cup of coffee or water. She would drop something off at our table and run away. We never got the chance to talk to her or ask for condiments etc. They needed more help! We waited from being seated to getting our food for 1 hour. Breakfast shouldn't take that long to prep. I had the pancakes which were very fluffy and good. Decorations were minimal but nice. It was a lot brighter than I expected.

The prime rib was great, and reasonably priced. Our waitress was fabulous. At least one of your meals needs to be here.

My wife and I dined here for dinner. This place is by far the best coffee shop in Downtown Las Vegas, and I have tried them all. We both shared a dinner salad. My wife had the complete rib dinner, and I tried it. YUM! The meat fell off the bone. I had the Pot Roast dinner. YUM. Tender beef and veggies. Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel would be proud to have his name on this restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I added many photos of our visit. I was shocked how good it was.

The prime rib special at seigels was excellent. We had a Bogo coupon from Las Vegas advisor and used it.However the manager gave us a hard time because he said it didn't include the special. He did let us use it but he told us don't do it again. Do not plan.Ongoing back to the El Cortez anytime soon. And did not like it

Enjoyed the lobster tail. Perfectly cooked and fresh. The chicken soup was delicious. Unfortunately, the steak was dry like it had been previously cooked and reheated. Also, the ribs were the same, reheated and very dry.

First off this place was not busy and way under staffed. I ordered the prime rib special totally maybe the worst deal in town the cut of meat was horrible but it made the old yellow baked potato and the worst corn medley I have ever had look even worst...... I would never go here for that deal ever again. Now my daughter ordered the turkey bacon club and it actually was good and well presented unlike the prime rib. The sandwich was very good and it is the only reason this place is getting a 3.

As stated in earlier reviews it is best to ask for the special if you want the prime rib. 4 of us went there for dinner with a reservation and received a better table than if we had not. Does tend to get a little busy at times. Three of us enjoyed the prime rib special dinner for 10.95, my husband did not. His vegetables came cold and his baked potato not totally cooked and his meat a little too rare for his liking. So it seems to be hit and miss. But good value for the money. Staff was excellent.

Food was Excellent, service Excellent , Staff on point , This is an old school place with great service for all , who go out of their way to get you what you need .

The Prime Rib special is NOT on the menu. It must be requested. It is a great meal including Prime Rib, baked potato or mashed potatoes, and a veggie. Oddly accordinf to server the meal does NOT include bread. We told her we were willing tonpay for it. A plate witj 4 rolls were brought with the meal. Service was a bit brusk. Not rude but not friendly either. For $11 bucks is the meal is great! I will speak to to manager to confirm that bread is NOT included. The restaurant is nice and for the price this meal is well worth it. Not a bad deal. Under $40 for three people. Well worrh it!!

Breakfast for 5. Food selection is robust. Service is premium. Waffles with bananas, steak and eggs, French toast with chocolate chips and the Bloody Mary was delicious. Proportions are generous

They have an over-50 menu at this place on Wednesday nights. The menu is extremely limited, but that was not the problem. If you order from this menu, you can expect to be totally ignored, as we were. The server never came back to the table until it was time to dump the check. That would have earned them three stars. However, when paying the check, they demanded to "see ID," insisting that was their "policy." But what brought them down to their final low rating was that I spent all that night and half the next day on the toilet. If you are going to come here, I advise you to skip the Turkey Cobb Salad. I'm sure the over-50 menu is designed to bring in customers on a slow night. However, in this case, the whole experience caused us to flee the place ASAP.

Girlfriend says double homerun here. She ordered the Prime Rib Special (for breakfast) and says it's the best she's ever had. My Chicken Fried Steak ($11) was attacked my her fork repeatly. She loved the gravy so much she asked for some "to go". Service was 5 stars. Located inside the El Cortez Casino.

As hotel restaurants go, Spiegel's is both good and reasonably priced. They have generous portions and good breakfasts.

Omg this was so good for the price! Get the Prime Rib Special just $14.99! The corn (veggie of the day) that comes with is amazing! Ambiance is cool because it’s been there since 1941. Check out all the photos on the wall!

Went here wed night for dinner. We were seated with glasses of water and paper menus with only a few items on them. A new shortened menu. Not the one shown online. That was disappointing. We had one of the rudest waitresses. She came and took our order and walked away. Never asked if we wanted something to drink. We stopped her and asked do you have diet pepsi she goes coke and kept going. When she brought our food we asked for two diet pepsis. She brought them and I said thank you she grunted mmm hmmm. She never came back until she breezed by with the check. We almost walked out when we saw the menus, were sorry we didnt.

I thinPrime rib is an overstatement at this place. But most likely actually only rib roast with no grade based off what I ate there yesterday. Not sure what the ribeye was but it was not quality. I guess I am jsut a jerk and expect at least Outback or Logans type meat but was almost positive Prime Rib was not being served as describded. Prim is Prime no matter where you get it.

wound getting breakfast from here. I had a side of corned beef hash and a bagel. my husband and mother in law got steak and eggs and a farmhouse breakfast. a little bit pricier but you can taste the quality. my back and hip was still killing me from the night before and the restaurant chairs here were very comfortable. the waitress awesome.

Unexpected find. Was walking around in casino & stumbled by this restaurant. Great food, atmosphere & service. Fried rice & tuna melt delicious.

We love El Cortez…..we know Mike N. Who is first class at the El Cortez. The Wednesday senior day is awesome! (50% off a nice senior menu plus the prime rib special is all day every day). The prime rib is great there, the service was excellent. The strip steak was absolutely delicious. We love love love gambling and eating here!

Tried the prime rib special, meat was tender and nicely cooked, well seasoned. This is not on the menu so you have to ask for it. Service is fast and efficient.

I have dined 5-10 times at Siegel's over the past several years for various meals. The waitress service is good, the food is mediocre, and the hostesses are the worst in Vegas. On a recent visit at dinnertime, the hostesses required seniors to stand in line for ten minutes, without offering a seat, even though there were many empty tables, probably because it was shift change time. Heaven forbid that one waitress could bring customers some water and ask about appetizers and another take the meal order. That would be FAR too responsive to customers. The hostesses give high priority to reading things, not looking at customers, and checking checks to make sure everything balances. This has happened repeatedly, so it is not a fluke. They belong in Accounting, where they do not have to deal with the public. Our waitress, Senait (Spell?), was a good worker from Ethiopia who spoke excellent English. She did a good job in all regards. My companion and I were given different menus! It turned out that one menu was "old." Duh--get it together. The decor is mediocre. No tablecloths. One good point is that no children are allowed after 4 pm.

We walk to the El Cortez for their great Pot Roast! Friendly service, great prices! Sorry, we can only report on the Pot Roast because that’s all we have ever tried there! It’s just that good! Maybe one day we can report on another dish. 😂 This restaurant is highly recommended!!

Tucked away inside the aging (but recently remodeled) Mighty El Cortez Hotel is Siegel's 1941. Service was excellent and the food outstanding including a huge prime rib, a generous Chicken Piccata and classic fried chicken. Most dishes are under 20 bucks and the room itself is lovely and has a wonderful old school Vegas feel without being dated. Don't miss the meatballs - New York Italian style as big as billiard balls. We will be back!

Prime rib was tender and juicy delicious. I however didn't care for my side's mash potatoes and vegetables were ok.

This place is a hidden gem. Awesome staff and service, our waiter Jorge is awesome! Best all day breakfast in Vegas, especially if you’re more of the old school diner type. Love it!

4th of July and they have 1 server, 1 greater/seater Had to call a manager bc my girlfriend chicken was raw af and they had the food out in 15 minutes. Thats horrible chefs and kitchen staff sending out not just raw but seriously bloody chicken like it was its time of month and needed a super plus blood plug took two bites of skin then plunged fork into what became a sea of red chicken blood. Why can't they check internal temperature to ensure guest dont get sick. If she gets sick thats a lawsuit since you can't hire adequate chefs to ensure proper food handling and cooking. You should be seriously embarrassed you severed that to a guest.

While we only had breakfast here, I was impressed. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The dinner menu definitely merits a visit the next time I'm in town.

Great dining adventure! Was amazed at the reasonable breakfast prices. And got a senior discount!! Love this place and highly recommend.

Believe it or not, you get a great piece of roast beef for just $10.95! It came with a baked potato. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfect! I can't vouch for anything else at Siegel's, but I would definitely rate the roast beef (which I rarely order because of cholesterol) was a dream!

My son and I were in Vegas for a quick weekend trip. We stayed at El Cortez and ate at Siegels 41 for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was the prime rib special. It was above average for the price. The veggies were low end. For breakfast, the pancakes were very good.

We stopped for dinner and ordered their prime rib special for only $14.99 and it was delicious! It comes with a baked potato and vegetable medley. It was very good and the service was great!

Located in the El Cortez. Open 24/7. My wife and I dined here for dinner and were seated immediately. We both had an Iced Tea. My wife had the Open Faced Turkey Dinner with mashed potato's and veggies. I had the Pot Roast Dinner. The food and service were very good on this visit. I added photos of our visit.

Located at the El Cortez Hotel & Casino. Open 24/7. We made a 8:15pm reservation and were seated immediately. My wife and I dined here for dinner. We both ordered the Prime Rib Special with potato and veggies. Very tasty. The service was very good on this visit. I took many photos and will return again soon.

The food and prices are great, the ambiance is lacking,so if you want good food at a good price and don't care about ambiance- this is your place in the Fremont St area. I had the off menu prime rib and it was fabulous. The potato that came with it needed less time keeping warm, but the vegetables were good. I didn't not feel at all hungry when I was done. It was very busy and full of patrons the entire time that we were there for dinner, and we were early for dinner.

First things first... Food is okay, reasonable and table service was great! We ate breakfast there and decided to return for the Prime Rib Special. We were turned away because they felt my husband was wearing a tank top. He was wearing a knit pullover with the newer cut sleeves that are cut about an inch higher than traditional sleeves. Needless to say we didn't stay and he was offered a shirt behind the counter to put on... Really... that's some great hygiene practices there... Who else wore the shirt. Apparently after 4:00 pm they have their rules... 1. No kids under 8 years old 2. Men not allowed to wear tank tops & two more bullet points that I can't remember. We returned the next night to try the dinner at 8:30 which was four hours after the rules where in place and we dressed for dinner. I should have taken pictures because we were amazed. 2 kids under the age of 8 running by our table to the outside restrooms twice. Several individuals with worn and ripped t-shirts, dirty jeans and undies sticking out. 3 Women looked like they dressed like they were ready for the farm. I understand they want to make this upscale but they have a long way to go and kicking us out for having shorter sleeves isn't going to do it!

Old school cafe in the El Cortez casino. Prime rib special is great for 12.95 and add a salad for 5.00. Good service and a decent menu with good options.

The waiter was reasonably pleasant. Really, that’s pretty much the only nice thing I can say. Ordered a hamburger, medium rare. When our table got its order, I had Prime rib delivered. I told the waiter I’d ordered a hamburger, but since he prime rib was delivered, I’d pay for that. The prime rib was snatched from in front of me. My hamburger arrived. Cooked well done. Absolutely flavorless. No char. No sear. No seasoning. I’d have sworn it was boiled. Fries tepid, not seasoned. Not crunchy. I won’t be going back.

Fantastic service. Food was excellent. Ambience is divine with old photos and a cool old mobster vibe. We will go back.

We were looking for a breakfast place downtown early in the morning because our favorite Magnolia's was closed for servicing. Finally ended up at Siegel's 1941 inside the El Cortez. Nice atmosphere, nice music, attentive service. We had an omelette and a Belgian waffle, both delicious. The cook got my omelette ingredients wrong, but it was still fine. One cup of coffee, one tomato juice and no extras. $32. When we went to pay, we found out that if we had gotten there 15 minutes LATER, we would have gotten a 50% discount. Usually restaurants have graveyard specials, not starting at 6:00 AM.

Order the prime rib special. The prime rib was very good . The service was good. This is a good place for a late night meal. The restaurant is very nice for a place that’s open 24 hours.

Menu for other meals looked good but breakfast service and food were excellent. Fun history to this restaurant and the casino. Worth a visit to the oldest continually running hotel and casino in Las Vegas.

The food is average, but the service was above average by the waitress and her server. I had the classic prime rib dinner available 24/7 for $10.95. The meat was tasty, but there was nothing prime about the quality, which is understandable at this price. The baked potato was very soft throughout, almost as if it had sat under a cover on a steam table for too long a period of time. No firm potato texture to it, at all.

Good food and reasonable prices, large portions, with nice desserts. The staff were very friendly and provided good service.

we had to wait for our cocktails, about ten minutes. we waited 45 minutes for our entres, salads never arrived! we were not offered dessert either, but the manager did not charge for our drinks! big deal, right?

We are always greeted by the friendly and efficient staff. Meals are awesome. Ordered the fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was the best fried chicken I have ever had. Highly recommend it as well as all the other delicious choices. Have a great breakfast menu as well.

Went for 50 and over half off. Waiter was incompetent. Said everything was 50% off. Ended up not being true so I had to pay full price. Then had a 2 for 1. Yep. Not good for some things either. In the meantime, the waiter never checked on us. Food avg at best

Food was great and reasonably priced. They offer daily specials, and other specials are written on a chalk board outside the restaurant. I really do mean reasonable! Their menu is online complete with price list. Located in the El Cortez hotel and casino, this was a great stop from the Freemont Experience. Casino is great (see separate review) and this entire establishment is nothing if not fabulous. We didn't stay at this resort, but everything about it is great. Our servers were spot on and attended on all our needs. I would return here in a heart beat. Worth a visit for a good meal at a great price.

Located at the El Cortez. My wife and I dined here on Christmas Eve 2023. We were seated immediately. We both ordered the Prime Rib Special that came with veggies and a baked potato. The food and service were excellent on this visit. It was a great place to have a Christmas Eve dinner. Photos added and I will return again soon.

Had breakfast and dinner while here. My group really enjoyed it as did I. Great coffee too! And the prime rib dinner was very good although be careful they charged me for it even though we were supposed to be comped as part of the room rate. I didn't catch it until I got the bill at checkout. Nonetheless, all service was very good along with food and I recommend giving it a try.

My wife and I dined here for dinner. We shared a great dinner salad with very good blue cheese dressing. My wife had the Kentucky Brown Turkey Dinner and I had the Pot Roast Dinner. YUM! I added many photos of our visit and management should be proud of the excellent staff. I will return.

I enjoy this restaurant in the El Cortez Hotel. The food is good. Service is great. The French Dip is fantastic. Thank You.

It's a solid choice for a diner. I was expecting a bit fancier place but that's no biggie. We had lunch there. It wasn't at all busy midweek. We had a breakfast and a lunch. Scrambled eggs with sausage and toast and a prime rib sandwich with fries. Of the two, the prime rib was the best. Very tender and delicious. But realistically, there's not much you can do to make scrambled eggs great in a diner. Service was fine.

Quality of food was horrible..$17 for a processed beef patty. Bun was so soggy on bottom less then halfway through..Won't be back.Don't care who its named after.

Service and food was the worst I have ever had. Was there with a party of 6. It was not very busy. Server only came a few times, not at all after the food was brought to the table, after almost an hour of waiting while other tables who came in after us were served, paid and left. Food was cold and the prime rib was still bleeding, bread was saturated in blood. Couldn't ask to send food to be heated as again, server never came to check in, plus was not going to wait another hour. There were no apologies, only excuses and the "acting manager" only provided excuses then handed our $200 bill. I would not recommend this place, at all. Again, neither service nor food was even subpar and they did not care at all nor try and make it right.

We happened to be on Freemont Street, stopped in the casino to do a little gambling. It was recommended for us to try the prime rib special at Siegel's we were a little skeptical, but it was late and we decided to give it a try. It was surprisingly good!! Good portion, baked potato was good, vegies were ok. They also had a bottle of Robert Mondavi wine for $20. We had a great waitress Linda. Good dinner for a low price!

This place was like stepping back in time. The food was as home cooked as I have had since eating our Thanksgiving meal. A true must if going to the downtown area in Vegas

We stayed at Cortez and ate here a few times. They never had more than one server one the floor. I did see once where another showed up about when we finished.

I walked in on Dec 13th to look at a menu. I was standing there for about five minutes, three staff running around the restaurant ignoring me. Then the phone rang a girl came running and answered the phone for a takeout order while I had been standing there waiting. I just walked away, so rude. Myself and two friends went for dinner on Dec 17, the food was great, the service was terrible. We sat forever before having out order taken then after the food came we never saw a server again until the bill. Even after we had paid there was still all of our empty plate and glasses on the table. I am guessing Las Vegas it desperate for staff and they all just think they should get a tip because of what they do. No, a tip is for good service, not terrible service. If you want good food, go, if you want good service, avoid.

I really enjoyed my first visit here. I've been to the El Cortez, but had never eaten at Siegel's 1941 until now. My wife and I went with a large group of people and they accommodated us very nicely. I got the prime rib special (off menu) and my wife got the roasted chicken. They were both so delicious! The service was great and it was a fun place to just hang out and relax for a bit. The restaurant has a lot of Bugsy Siegel pictures (of course) and some memorabilia on the walls. When we were there, From Here To Eternity was playing on the televisions. Overall, this place had a great feel to it.

Loved this place. Service was very good. They have an excellent "special" prime rib menu. The Prime Rib Melt and the Mac and Cheese was to die for. Atmosphere looks upscale, but feel free to come casual. We will be back.

We had breakfast here. Something about the register was down. But our waitress said we could order and was fantastic and kind. Neat place, good breakfast, wonderful staff. Try it! Maybe next time we’ll do dinner here

The service was extremely slow. Was there with a party of 4. We could hear yelling and dishes crashing from the kitchen. Two people in our party sent their meals back as they were overcooked. I ordered prime rib medium rare and it came out medium and little flavor. With all our issues, the server did not get a manager and rarely checked on us. We requested to speak to the manager at the cashier station. The manager was argumentative and not at all apologetic. When asked to take the ruined meals off our tabs she asked if we took a bite then threatened to call security. Worse dining experience ever on our last night in Vegas!

The Prime Rib Special was what brought me to El Cortez Coffee Shop 4 years ago. Since then, it has been spruced up and gone slightly upscale. But the incredible value of the Prime Rib Special remains, the price having risen to $10.95! Liver and onions is another standout on the menu. The only downside - not much selection of craft beer.

I had the pleasure of dining at Siegel's 1941 at the El Cortez my last time in Vegas. I had not been there for a few years. And was excited to share the expierence with my husband. This is a great stop after a visit to the mob museum. The $14.99 ( think was the price) Prim Rib dinner special is why my husbanc picked this one. He loves prime rib. And although the portion was a smaller cut (like the price) it was plenty and very good so my husband assures me. I had a burger. And it was delicious. But what really makes this place is the atmosphere. I love the decor, the music, and the feel of 1941 surrounding you. The El Cortez is a favorite of mine and Siegel's makes it even more special. Now don't get in any hurry when it comes to the front desk or the even the servers for that matter. Although our waitress was friendly a few guest seemed put out by her lack of speed. We were there to enjoy the atmosphere and food and were not in any hurry. Take your time, look at all the pictures on wall while you are waiting for the waitress to refill your drink for the third time.

Wanted a place for a traditional turkey dinner. Found this place on the internet but not really for Thanksgiving dinner other than they had one. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, beans, cranberries. Very very good. As good as you can do at home. Dark meat was so good and tender. Waitress did an excellent job. Price was reasonable. Pumpkin pie was really good, just the the rest of the meal. Crust could have been flakier, but the flavor overall all was spot on. The issue. Only had one person at the front desk. She worked hard but just could not check people out and seat people. Took a long time to be seated. Heard others complaining as we left. We had 2 seperate couples tell us, it was worth the wait. I can only speak for the T- day meal, but I will say it is a good as any in the city.
Prime Rib Dinner did not disappoint
Went to Siegel's this week for dinner while in Vegas. Was always fond of The Flame so we were anxious to see the renovated version. The prime rib did not disappoint and was prepared perfectly. Was not very impressed with the décor. Definitely more of a casual dining café now and no longer a steakhouse. But the food was good and a real value compared to other steak prices on Fremont St. And El Cortez seemed to be cleaner and better than I remembered on other trips! Keep up the good work!
