We chose a vegetarian meal and it was excellent. The tableside guacamole and vegetable fajitas were especially good. The only real complaint was that the service was really, really slow. Maybe we weren't spending enough.

Food was amazing. Décor and restaurant is stunning. We were surprised how early the restaurant closed (10pm) staff were cleaning up around us. The greeting and farewell were warm and friendly, the service was so-so.

Our group showed up for dinner and they knew about it. Took awhile for someone to get our drink order. Went to buffet which is really small and no food. Had to wait for more to be brought out and just enough for maybe 10 people then they were out again. Food wasn't bad but service lacking.

Nice restaurant, with excellent service and good generous mexican food. Size of portion are impressive. Good. Slur for money. A pleasant place to be with colleagues and friends

Gorgeous place and good service. They have a chef making tableside guacamole tuned to your tastes. Great sangria as well!

We visited Sinigual for dinner tonight and had the best Mexican food Experience we have ever had. The salsa and lime butter with fresh tortillas that was complimentary was a great start. We had the table side made guacamole and it was really good. All of our mains were so fresh and tasty. We all agreed we will be back next time we are in New York.

I just love this place! Conveniently located close to Grand Central (4min walking distance). Big place and often filled with people. Margaritas in many different shapes. Guacamole made by the table. Freshly made burritos and enchiladas. My favourite has been lobster and steak burritos with mushroom, black beans and rise. Medium price. But worth every penny. Been back many times

Lunched her recently with four business colleagues. Nice ambiance, attentive staff, menu didn’t contain many traditional items, but enough things to find something pleasing. I had Shrimp Diabla. More shrimp than i expected and they were fresh. Orange anchiote sauce was great. Will definitely return.

So, can you say Table-side Guacamole?! I cannot understand why every Mexican restaurant can't do this- it is such a treat, and Sinigual makes a fantastic dish! I come here for that alone- okay, well, for the Margaritas as well- and the Micheladas! Who knew you could find a Michelada in New York City! While this is a really good Mexican restaurant in NYC, don't expect what you would find in Texas or California, but I will say this- they have really good food, and the service is awesome as well. I choose to come- sit in the bar and drink, and order an appetizer or 2, and that, for me, makes for a great time.

Nice ambience, friendly and efficient waiters and good location, only a few blocks away from Grand Central Station. Dishes are all exceptionally good, and deserts are not to be missed. Highly recommended.

I was in NYC for a conference this week staying by the World Trade Center. My girlfriend was training in from Greenwich so we were looking for something by Grand Central. And we both love Mexican. We met early enough (6:30) that the tables were plenty. We started with some Margaritas - they were okay - but a bit pricy $15-17 each. Even for New York, that seems a little steep. Instead of the traditional chips and salsa, they serve fresh, homemade tortillas with salsa and butter. All good. For appetizers, we ordered tableside guacamole - super good and great portion. For dinner, I had steak nachos. Perfect size for me after all the guacamole. Good food, but a bit pricey for what we got - with tip included it was over $80 each (which included 2 drinks each). I'm guessing this is all about the location since we were midtown.

I am not an expert on Mexican cuisine and haven’t been to Mexico so I cannot tell whether this is authentic. However, the food is good and the place is quite nice. I especially like the point that they make guacamole freshly table side.

We ate here as part of a dinner provided by our bus tour group. We arrived around 530 to find out that there was already another tour bus group seated at the restaurant. We were served a buffet style dinner consisting of chips salsa chicken fajita meat, corn cake which was awesome, and cheese enchiladas, and black refried beans. Unfortunately the group in front of us cleaned out the buffet and we had to wait while they made more of everything. We were offered soda tea coffee water and lemonade as part of our dinner. These were placed in unlabeled in metal pitchers on a counter just adjacent to the buffet table So we were to serve ourselves the drinks. The food was so so and I would not recommend.

Very nice restaurant with clean bathrooms! The pinapple margarita and guacamole were very good. Great service as well!

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Dinner close to the Westin. Excellent from start to finish. Had the shrimp special. Was excellent all around, Even the salsa is excellent.

!!!Good service, good food, and good people!!! I will definitely visit this place again! Excellent service

I took my friend visiting from Texas a month ago and my daughter yesterday. Same amazing quality, delicious food and super friendly and attentive staff! They make delicious guacamole right in front of you. We had the sample platter, enough for two: ribs were delicious, nachos, quesadillas!!!! Yummy! Both white and red sangrias were great and the flan was out of this world! We totally recommend this restaurant!

Good food good atmosphere. Mexican nacho was great. Better than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

Disappointed. The waiter was slammed with 5 tables at once, so I didn’t get a drink order in for 20 minutes. But shame on this restaurant for mishandling seating. My steak was flavorful, but a little tough. Nothing outstanding. Margaritas were good. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes for my check. Probably won’t go back. What a shame!

Great find! Located near Grand Central station this American Mexican restaurant is packed with flavorful food and warm ambiance. The menu is very flexible. You can select an entree or choose to create your own 2 or 3 item plate. The carnitas entree and taco were amazing and the sweet corn cake was delicious. Don’t skip the Cadillac margarita; it was so find. Definitely worth eating there again!

Had a business lunch here. Food was OK, not too special. I did not find the food particularly fresh. Ambiance was nice though.

Yesterday was my first time in this restaurant, and i regret i havent been there before..best experience and best compliments for this place! Excellent service, cheerful people, polite servers, great atmosphare and good music! I had the shrimp diable and cadillac margarita suggested by my server! Best combo! I highly recommend it to everyone! Its a MUST! Thank you guys for making my night perfect! I can’t wait to come back!

Food is very good. I feel badly to leave negative comments. However the service is the worst I’ve seen in a Manhattan restaurant in 25 years. Waiter practically non existent. Messed up the drink orders. Reordered cocktails and they came different than before. Outdoor dining is important in this day and age. The restaurant needs to have adequate, competent staff. It’s too bad, since the food was enjoyed by everyone, but the experience was tainted by subpar service.

I got here around 18.15 on a Monday and by the time I left at 19.15hrs the place was quite full and the waitresses very busy. The food was good and the waitress, though run off her feet, was friendly and effective.

Very good Mexican food. Really tasty. Downsides were the long wait (45 minutes despite reservation), service initially a bit messy but generally helpful. The food was very nice.

On a bus tour from Michigan. The food was okay. Served to about 90 people on 2 buses. Not much of a variety on the buffet, especially if you do not like Mexican. I enjoy Mexican but I've had better. Everything was "mushy" on my plate. Good service and great entertainment. [

Excellent location and restaurant. Very effective and friendly service and a good selection of very decent Mexican up-scale cuisine. Well presented and reasonably priced. Ideal for a business lunch. Highly recommended.

At the recommendation of the concierge, we decided to visit Sinigual to satisfy our Mexican cravings! We asked our server for the nutritional information as someone in our party has Type 1 Diabetes and needed to be able to dose insulin accordingly. The manager came to the table to clarify. Then when he realized he couldn’t answer the questions, he sent the Executive Chef to the table! And the Chef has Type 2 diabetes so he was somewhat familiar. He did not know the carbs etc but was willing to personally make an entree and reduce the carbs that he could. And then he personally delivered the entree to the table! That is service!! And it was delicious! If our travels have us return to NYC, we will definitely try this place again.

This is a popular place for lunch in Midtown. The food is OK, but nothing special. Flavour is average. The menu is somewhat "same old" Mexican, including tacos and fajitas. Service is courteous but slow during lunch hour. I am a bi ambivalent about the place: in a bind, it is a fine place to eat, but if you are looking for something special, this is not it.

We stopped in on a Thursday evening after our visit to one of the observatories for dinner. Seating was available, which was nice to not have to have a reservation. The margaritas were tasty - not super strong. We enjoyed the chicken tacos that were a chef’s specialty and the carnitas taco. We enjoyed the refried black beans and the hand made tortillas. Our waitress was friendly. One suggestion would be tableside checkout, which many restaurants do now to help minimize the delay to pay. But that doesn’t really bother me because we weren’t in a hurry. In this day when restaurants try to get you out in 90 minutes or less for dining, I don’t mind having a little extra time.

Sometimes it’s nice to find that place positioned in between high-end contemporary Mexican cuisine and your local taco joint yet, more importantly, a clear cut above the familiar chain outlets. Singual is such a venue. Just a few blocks from GCT it is, nevertheless, far enough from that wandering throng to be less crowded. The margaritas are what you want, varied choices stripped of frou-frou, just honest salt/no salt. The menu is comprehensive but all within range of the proverbial everyman’s taste. Our greeting was warm and prompt, our booth comfortable, the décor tastefully subdued, and service was attentive. The tableside guacamole prep was a bit perfunctory, but the result was fresh and delicious. Mercifully there were no costumed birthday wishers. And for those who want a clear vision sports bar with tequila and chips, the front area provides a good option, well-separated from the dining space.

I love Mexican food. The dishes were presented well and tasted great. The restaurant has nice decor. The portions are large so don't fill up on the tort wraps even though it is hard not to because they are sooo good. I had a cocktail to start and decided on a mojito as they are my favorite. Again, excellent quality and I would recommend to those who like these types of drinks. Atmosphere is good for work, family and friends.

Delicious food! Recently visited this place for the first time during COVID19 restrictions. They for sure adhere to all rules. Drinks very delicious! I would recommend the regular margarita and the white sangria. Beautiful atmosphere even though it was outdoor dining.

I went to Sinigual with my husband and two friends, and we had such a fun time. The food and drinks are delicious, and our server, Cesar, amped up the fun big time. He's a delight. The music was maybe a smidge too loud, that's my only criticism.

My family and I were staying in a hotel close by and we walked by sinigual and decided to give it a go and boy I’m glad we did. The food was amazing. I loved the ambiance and how friendly the staff and management were. My family and I had a really nice time. Try the guaomole and the carnitas Yucatán!!! It was delicious.

The guacamole is delicious along with the chips. The steak or chicken nachos are GREAT! The enchiladas I had were just good but not great. The atmosphere and service along with great appetizers made up for the entree. Margaritas are awesome . An extra bonus is the warm tortillas with butter they serve you. Overall well worth the meal!

It was my first time to dine in this restaurant and was glad I did. I had the chicken breast fajita which was very tasty and well cooked, yet tender. I also enjoyed two glasses of the grilled pineapple margarita. No room for dessert unfortunately, maybe next time.

Super friendly service great food well located great wine list you can drink a delicious Martín Codax Albariño by the glass. Food is Mexican authentic and very good cocktails too, very reasonably priced, a must for me in the city!

Just off 42nd Street close to Grand Central and reasonably priced. We ordered Shrimp fajitas, Chicken Fajitas, Chicken & Shrimp Enchilada which were all big portions and very fresh and delicious. There was also plenty of vegetables with the dishes. Highly recommend.

We work in the area and have been coming to Sinigual for happy hour, as well as for light bites and dinner for 4 years now. It ALWAYS delivers!! Aliona and Marina are THE BEST and always hook us up with phenomenal service, great energy, and an awesome experience every time. It’s really nice to continue to come back to a place where people are so welcoming and friendly!!! HIGHLY recommend for the food, drinks, and great service. Always a fun time.

Not a huge fan of spicy food normally, but like this place. The guacamole is delcious. They make it fresh table-side and was the stand-out dish for me. Love the decor and in the evening it's quite lively with the cocktail bar at the front. Service is generally good, but can be a bit hit and miss, particularly at lunchtime.

A very nice restaurant. Went for lunch on a work day and the place was busy. The Mexican shrimp fajita was especially good. The grilled salmon was also very good.

We were in the mood for something different so we popped in here. They started by bringing 2 types of salsa with thin, crispy chips, honey butter and fresh flour tortillas The guac was great! We are Southerners and like a lot of flavor so keep that in mind while reading this. The steak torta was packed with layers of different flavors and the yucca fries were crispy and when dipped in the smoky, spicy sauce they were taken to a whole new level. My niece enjoyed the vegetarian torta and said it was delicious. They add extra veggies when you do not choose a meat so thats a plus. My husband had a perfect patron margarita and said it was really good, not all sweet and sour like many places. Recommend this place if you’re in the mood for contemporary mexican while visiting NYC

Accidentally discovered this place near my hotel, and it exceeded what I’d imagined. Absolutely fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!

So I would first like to say that I've been to Sinigual many times and I have always had a good experience from a food and service standpoint. It's a shame that I have to write this review, but the last time I went, despite giving a 20% tip, the server decided to add more tip to my check. Because I was expensing the meal, I had saved the receipt. I called the manager for a refund, and he claimed he took care of it, but two weeks later there was no refund. I had to call back again (wasting more of my time) to ask again. It is completely unacceptable to add additional tip to someone's bill and the fact that the manager did not process my refund is ridiculous. Not only is it ridiculous, it is fraud. My suggestion - if you do insist on eating here, only pay cash. It's very difficult to engage in fraud when you're paying cash only.

Lunched here with four business colleagues. Nice ambiance, great mid town location. Staff attentive. Good menu light on traditional Mexican stuff, but enough choices to find something that pleases you. I had Shrimp Diabla. Very good especially the Orange anchoite sauce. Would definitely come again.

Food is not even real Mexican.. this place is like a Mexican "Applebees". I had the chicken taquitos with over cooked rice. Worst ever Avoid!

Friday Happy Hour is the place to go!!!! Tamara,Leo and Gustavo will give you the best drinks and serves ever!!! Going back again!

Mexican restaurant where we are very well received in a sewn decor. The dishes are very good, we tested the fajitas, quesadillas, and pork pulled nothing wrong. The margaritas well made, accompanied by guacamole made to order for a good apero. And oh surprise! the prices are very decent, I would even say competitive for New York.

My family loves Mexican food and thought we’d try it here. We loved the food, service, ambience and the mojitos! Our fish tacos were amazing along with our sides. My kids loved it here too. We’ll definitely return when back in NYC.

My wife searched online for top-rated Mexican restaurants in New York City, so she made an online reservation for lunch, and it certainly lived up to the hype! We loved everything from the complimentary salsa & chips to the margaritas and our meals, and last but not least the desserts! The prices were very reasonable, and our server Damaris was amazing too! We highly recommend it!

We had an excellent dinner here. I got the combination meal where you could selected 2-4 items, and all are great. The table side guacamole is fun, and they have a great margarita selection.

I ordered their chicken soup because it was freezing but Sinigual did not serve hot soup. It took long for our order to be taken and served. It was a longer wait for the check. Our waiter was unattentive. Another gentleman who took plates away attended to our requests, including packing our leftovers. We appreciate him. To be fair, their flan with strawberry tasted delicious. The fusion of flan and strawberry tastes is yummy!

Sinigual consistently does a great job. The tableside guacamole provides both a show and tasty appetizer. The really nice thing is that the menu options provide complex flavor at a Mexican restaurant that is wholly different than low scale Taco Bell offerings. For my friends from Iowa who can't get quality Mexican food at home this was a great treat.

Guacamole Cart is fun but overplayed. The guacamole they made on the spot was ok. The food was ok but nothing special.

Manager and bartenders were friendly and attentive, love the food, Edher was exceptional he took care of us and made sure we had a great time!

Food was not impressive and the chicken was dry but atmosphere wasn’t bad. After we left and decided not to tip the recommended amount due to the quality of food and service, a very rude staff member ran after us outside questioning our tip in an aggressive manner and was very patronising. He told us we ‘should go to McDonald’s in the future’ and tried to make us feel guilty about the tip we left by explaining his personal circumstances and then continuing to be rude. He tried to tell us the 20% tip was compulsory (which is a lie) and that we needed to pay the bar for their service to us for the drinks, even through we just had tap water from a jug. Definitely would not recommend, there are a lot of other great Mexican places around.

Went there with three other friends, they sat us in a back table, dim lighting. I asked for additional lighting, the server "Marco V" brought a candle over. I asked for more, he stated they didn't have any more. We seemed rushed to order drinks and then the food. He wanted us to order quickly so he can take the menus away. It took us 15 minutes and several requests in order to get extra chips and salsa. The table lacked silverware, an additional wait. Waited 10 minutes to pay the check. Bill $189 gave a 10% tip despite the horrific service of which the server actually complained and said he was busting his a$$ with all the tables. Then threatened me..."he will remember who I am". when I asked to see the manager, he said he's around, you look for him. Complained to the manager who provided me with a $50.00 gift card, nice gesture but I WILL NEVER USE IT as I will NEVER go there again, nor recommend anyone to go there. Marco V should not be in a service industry that relys on tips if he isn't willing to give his best every day. The better you are, the better the tip.

I have been to Sinigual many times and have always enjoyed the food - if nothing else at least the fresh guacamole that they make fresh at the table. So, was surprised by the poor quality of food. The guacamole was made fresh but tasted awful (something not right about the avocados) and the rest of the meal was equally unappealing. Hoping that it was just one of those bad days for the chef - because you can’t get Mexican food this wrong. Will go back again to try but really hope they pull their fare up a notch.

Our hotel gave us a list of local restaurants and we picked this one quite by chance. We decided not to even bother trying any of the other restaurants on the list because this one is so wonderful, we went back several times during our stay in NYC. The food is absolutely delicious! Fresh, beautifully cooked and presented. We tried several dishes and we were never disappointed and always left feeling very full. We also had a couple of trips for drinks late afternoon. Beautiful frozen Margaritas! We would like to make a point of saying how amazing the staff we were lucky enough to meet were. Will and Yulia, bar tenders extraordinaires! Caroline, a friendly, helpful, happy server and lovely Richie, a manager who goes above and beyond, not only for his customers, but for his staff too. We saw how attentive he was to all in the restaurant. Without any hesitation, we will go back to Sinigual when we next visit NYC

We had a special request for a dining option related to a medical condition. Bruno, the manager, had Juan, the Executive Chef visit our table. He listened to request and he personally prepared AND delivered the meal. Incredible service and incredible food. Let’s fill this place up.

Great Ambiance, nice range of meals. We ate Steak, Chicken and Shrimps. The Steak was awesome!!! Shrimps, a mouth-watering delight but the chicken... hmm not there. The chicken was a bit dry but overall a great dining experience.

Visited for dinner and was very impressed with the setting. The staff were attentive and helpful. We started with the tableside Guacamole - delicious and so fresh! I settled for the chicken quesadilla which was so flavourful and a huge portion. Definitely worth a visit!!

We had some business a block away and I look for a restaurant nearby to eat. I was wanting to go to this place I’ve heard of it and we marched a block away in the freezing cold to eat there. We got to the door it said closed for private party, we went in and asked anyway and they said they would be open for dinner 8 o’clock they said we could come back then. It was 5 o’clock and sorry I wanted to eat dinner at dinner time. I detest large restaurants that close themselves on a busy New York Street in a commercial area for a private party, locking out normal guests and visitors to the area that just want to eat dinnerI want to eat dinner. If you want to have private parties own a banquet hall or at least have a separate room to cater to those people because you’re not a restaurant if people can eat there.

We’ve just had the most amazing time.... Our booking at Sinigual was for 1830 we arrived a little early but they got us straight to the table. We were met by Armando, straight away you could tell he was passionate about what he was doing. We had Mojito to start as we looked through the menu, which was soon accompanied by freshly made flour tortillas with a selection of the most amazing salsas. The flavours seem to leap and dance around your mouth, it was so fresh, vibrant with enough spice to warm the throat without being too hot. Next we had fresh guacamole finished at the table with homemade nacho chips. That too was a sensation.... We chose two dishes that seem to stand to us in the hope that it was authentic and as sensational as our meal had started... we were not disappointed! Carnitas Yucatan ( slow cooked pork) & Shrimp Diabla. Again the flavour in the meat and prawn was beautiful and the accompanying sauces, garnish & rice just made it. As much as all the food was sensational our evening wouldn’t have been the same without Armando, he was attentive but gave you space, personal but respectful an all round good guy and a pleasure to meet. Thank you to the whole team, we loved every minute. Gareth & Louise

This is a beautiful upscale Mexican restaurant in East Midtown. You are wowed by the interior when you walk in. Lots of natural light, "live edge" tables in the bar area, bold colors throughout. They make a very good margarita (of course) and have a menu beyond the usual Mexican fare. We ordered the chicken nachos, which could be a meal by itself. The Tacos Vampiros is jam-packed with flavor and packs a little heat. A favorite on the menu is the option to create your own 2,3 or 4 item combinations choosing from a wide variety of enchiladas, tacos, rellenos. They offer table-side guacamole, flaming fajitas, Chef's special, and even ribeye and pork chops. On our two lunches there, we found everything to be fresh and plated beautifully. And if you're still hungry for dessert afterward, the Chocolate Flan Brulee is a must!

Our fajita salads were great, but the guacamole is awesome. Quick seating at lunch was nice as well.

The food was to die for! We ordered the 'Create your own Combo' and had 4 different samplers, which we plenty for 2 people. The food was amazing and the price was fantastic. Friendly service and we had a lot of fun watching the staff make the guacamole right there at your table.

We had a fantastic family dinner here. The drinks were delicious. The main dishes had great flavors and served in reasonable portions. The berry torte dessert was absolutely amazing though. I had it last time I was here (years ago) and it was just as good as I remembered it. The service was good. The prices seemed on-par with other similar spots in the area.

Fantastic Mexican cuisine, friendly and attentive staff. Drinks (margaritas and sangria) were not for our taste but they were Ok. The place was really crowded so it was good I reserved a table well in advance. They have excellent steak nachos and I took one of their signature dishes the filet mignon enchilada. Both I can highly recommend. The place is not cheap but the quality of food is great and the portions are huge.

I love going to siniqual, they have changed management, but I do love the food. The bartender & waitresses are very nice! It's my go to during work, or after work. They have a good Happy Hour also. I go there to chill with co-workers all the times.

I came to this restaurant on the promise of amazing fajitas but was met with poor quality that resulted in me being up in the middle of the night vomiting. Their cocktails are foul tasting so much so that I couldn’t finish it. Overall was very disappointed despite staff being nice I’d have been better off in chipotle...

Went there a couple of times in a short period of time and enjoyed the experience. Upbeat vibe, good music, generally a younger crowd. Food was good - lobster quesadilla and steak asada was good. Carnitas and chicken tacos were great too. Drinks weren't watered down so even though it's expensive (it is NY after all), they didn't skimp on the tequila. Cadillac margarita were good and my friend enjoyed her mojitos. Service was good and attentive. Overall a great experience. Der

South American cuisine. Beautiful restaurant, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff, who can cater for special dietary needs.

Great Mexican food and that is coming from a resident of San Diego! They start the meal with warm tortillas with butter and salsa. Can request chips too! Fish tacos were great! Jalepeno margaritas!

Fabulous lunch! Fantastic homemade tortillas to start instead of salty chips. I enjoyed a fresh, healthy Mexican salad. My son loved the fish taco and enchilada plate. My other son thought the steak fajitas were first rate. Excellent service by Andrea.

Muy excelente! Great food & drinks, nice ambiance and friendly service! Couldn’t get any better then that!

A well done outdoor space during COVID distancing, and a beautiful space indoors when we can dine inside. It’s on a quieter street (41st), and was quite comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly, especially Bojana. The food was fresh and well prepared with layers of flavor, from the soup to salad to fajitas. Particularly tasty homemade tortillas too.

The food is amazing, service was prompt and staff were very nice, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those on a budget. If you are visiting, the started sampler platter is definitely worth a try, with amazing ribs and a selection of foods I had never tried before, but they were all amazing. I had the chicken fajitas, and although I didn’t use all of the dips provided, it was still a delicious and filling meal. Definitely worth a visit if you have a bit of extra cash in your budget.

I should have stopped after my Happy Hour to-go margaritas (that I took back to enjoy at my hotel's rooftop patio). For $5 (on the rocks or frozen), this is a tremendous deal from 2-7pm in Midtown. But, as I was in town visiting my daughter and her friend who live here, we went back to enjoy more margaritas, perhaps stay for dinner, and enjoy the scene. While there was plenty of seating in more desirable areas outside, we were seated at the farthest table away, under a loud exhaust fan from the nearby building, and on folding chairs versus the upholstered ones further inland. When I asked to be relocated, we were only offered to switch our chairs. There was an ocean of open tables between us and the center of the scene. So, we stuck to margaritas. My daughter and her friend thought they were quite flavorful, if a bit weak. I agreed. We split the tableside guacamole and all thought it was delicious, as it should be, for $18. Do be aware that this restaurant doesn't serve quesos, so if you are craving it, go elsewhere. Which, unfortunately, is what we did. I would have been happy to stay and order off the dinner menu (we were never offered even the Happy Hour menu), but seating us so far away made us feel like sore thumbs. Maybe if I hadn't put down that I am from Vermont on the contact tracing form at the desk, I would have gotten a better table. Unfortunately for the restaurant, my daughter is a local and often scouts out new establishments for a large corporate account she works for. Unfortunately, Sinigual won't be getting a mention with her company nor a repeat visit from us. Unless we find ourselves walking by again and want $5 margaritas on the go.

Use to go there a lot. Food and drink very good. Used to have a great happy hour menu. Went the other day and learned they got rid of it. What a shame

Been coming here since 2014. It's a little pricey but everything in the city is. Carne asada y Camarones are a must buy. Don't come here if you won't order this (being someone who likes steak and shrimp) get orange achiote sauce and jalapeño butter on the side and make sure the butter is poured over your hot meal, especially the shrimps. The shrimps melt in your mouth. I think if this steak had a sauce of its own or was well marinated with some crazy sauces or spices it would taste better. Both are grilled well and taste fab. The guac is a little $$ at $15 and he didn't even make it in front of us. I rather pay $10 and just have it made in the kitchen. It lacked salt but some of the salsas you get as a 'snack' taste good with it.

We liked a lot about this place - the atmosphere, the attentive, friendly service and the prices. The food was the least impressive part, unfortunately. While the guacamole and chips were wonderful, my fish tacos had a few pieces of fish served in a green soft tortilla that was so mushy, I could only eat it with a knife and fork and it wasn't great. The rest of the meal was good but not stellar. In the end, I guess it's about the food, so I could only award the 3 stars.

My wife and I couldn't believe a fact that was posted about this restaurant on another site, and since we were in the neighborhood, we decided to stop by and inquire. And, yes, it's true: the hostess told us that an 18% "service charge" is automatically added to EVERY check (no matter how small); this fee goes to the parent company – not the staff – and is NOT considered a gratuity. A tip would be expected in addition to the service charge. And it's also true that this information is not printed on the menu. We learned this ONLY when we specifically asked. We did not stay to eat or drink, so we can't comment on the quality of the food or service. But we don't plan to go there unless the restaurant prints this fee on its menu or eliminates it and raises its prices instead so people know what to expect. A real bait-and-switch!

What a wonderful thing it was to find a Mexican restaurant like Sinigual! Everything about our experience was beyond compare. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The menu is creative for both food and drinks (I just HAD to have "tacos vampiros" and I'm glad I tried them. Delicious!) Portions are generous. My husbands chicken and shrimp fajitas arrived with plenty of chicken and a mountain of shrimp. Tableside guacamole was better than we'd had at other places that offer the same item. Sinigual goes the extra mile. Not only were we given the usual salsa and chips, we were also given complimentary soft tacos (flour or corn, diner's choice) with TWO different kinds of salsa plus honey-butter. And the service! Attentive, caring, and efficient. Our server, Sofia, was meticulous in looking after matters of food sensitivity/allergy. She was also gracious, friendly, and welcoming. In addition, not one but two members of the management team stopped by our table to ask if we were enjoying our meal. I do wish we lived in Manhattan. We'd be back on a weekly basis. As it is, whenever we can come into the city, we both hope Sinigual will be a part of our visit.

Contemporary Mexican food in a rather lovely restaurant studded with star shaped lanterns. I particularly like the guacamole, the grilled chicken and the drinks here, always fresh and flavourful. I almost always drop by when I am in New York, and not up to thinking too hard of where to go for a meal. I love having a collection of places I know I can go to sure of having a good meal.

I was in the mood for Mexican food so when my friend said Sinigual I said no problem it was within walking distance from our hotel as it was very cold -7. The staff is very friendly was shown to our table quite quickly even though it was lunch time rush. We did not have to wait long for our food to arrive even though they got mixed up it was sorted out quite quickly and the waitress was very apologetic all in all it was a very good experience.

Decidedly average sadly. Chose this restaurant on the basis of tripadvisor reviews, but it didn’t live up to expectations. Food arrived super quick after ordering and the chicken on one of the meals was tough - felt like perhaps it’d been kept warm having been cooked ahead. Worst meal we’ve had during our trip to New York, by far !

With few attractive dining options in midtown, I headed to the bar at Sinigual. The fajitas were savory and delicious and servers were very attentive. Would definitely go back if I need to find food in that area.

I just had lunch at Sinigual and I was right. I had dinner there several years ago and thought the food was terrible. I thought it may be just an off night but today I met an old friend there for lunch. I ordered their romaine saad with grilled chicken and it was terrible. All of the lettuce was soggy and old as was everything else on the plate including the brutally overdone grilled chicken. The chicken was so dried out and the entire salad was embarrassing. HOW DO THEY EXIST WITH SUCH TERRIBLE FOOD IN SUCH A HIGH PROFILE AREA? Please tell me; they should be ashamed of themselves!!

Gorgeous bar/restaurant near grand central station. Visited as a family if 8 with 2 small kids and had a lovely meal and drinks. Kids menu available with colouring etc to keep them amused. Fajitas fantastic and brilliant guacamole made in front of your eyes! Great find off 42nd street and 3rd while staying at westin grand central, right up 3rd form CVS.

Food and service were excellent and had a really nice vibe about the place. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. We had nachos to share which were so tasty and our main courses arrived in good time but we didn’t feel rushed

I went to this restaurant with the team for lunch, and the experience was so-so. Our server was friendly, and accommodating, but the food and the service in general didn't live up to the expectations. The items that I really liked were guacamole, and Barbecue ribs from the sampler platter. Shrimps Diabla was a good dish, but Carne Asada was not cooked medium-rare as I asked, and my colleague's steak fajita was cold and not very tasty. Guacamole that we ordered for the table was not big enough as they apparently use only 2 small avocados, which just doesn't justify the $15 price. Service-wise, utensils were not replaced after we had our starters and guacamole so we had to continue eating the main courses with the dirty forks and knives.

Visited for dinner food was fresh delicious and spicy but with just the right amount as they ask you how hot or not you want your food. Staff were friendly music was great little pricey but well worth a visit

The guacamole cart ($15) was good but not very spicy even when we asked for more spice which they gladly provided, but not classic in any sense (a bit dry), and not sure why they didn't bring sour cream with it. The Tortillas, being flour were thin and different and good, but again not what I would call classic. The chips they brought to the table were good but so fragile they easily break in the two sauces provided. The fish tacos ($20) were very good, the chicken enchiladas ($18) were good but nothing special. Over all the service was very good, but the venue noisy and sterile, with a number of large groups & tables.

We had a carafe of margarita and a carafe of sangria, both were great. All the mexican food if quite authentic with a flair of new cuisine. Great food.

We had just finished the Summit experience at grand central and wanted something quick but not to heavy so we headed down here, less than a 10 minute walk from the station. The happy hour menu was on but only in the bar area and not the restaurant area, which is a bit strange. The meeter and greeter had very little understanding of the menu, but the barman came across to take our order. We we were placed at a high table as we were told that was all that was available, despite there clearly being normal tables available behind us in the bar area, again I think the meeter and greeter was useless. The barman and other waiting staff were great, very attentive, and for Manhattan, New York it was good food at a good value, they give you free nachos and various salsas and we had the nachos and tacos with steak and chicken, at 20 dollars each which for the area good, for the rest of the world, well that doesn’t matter as we aren’t there. We had a nice blue moon beer, and margarita for 5 dollars each and two soft drinks at about 3 dollars each, so not bad. Tip added on, between 18 and 22% requested. Worth a visit, would go back

had a business event here last week service, food, drink and ambiance are top notch! Will be back very soon!

Really great food and great drinks. Very friendly service that attended to all of our needs! Would reccomend to my friends!

Ally was incredible. Really informative and made our experience so lovely! I had a wonderful afternoon here!

Restaurant offers contemporary Mexican cuisine. Offers quite atmosphere in the busy Manhattan with pleasant and helpful staff. Service was very quick, good recommendations given and we enjoyed the dinner very much. And don’t forget to taste some tequilas from the menu either at the bar or at your table.

Delicious food - tomato soup and barbecue chicken salad were excellent, great flavors. Several gluten free options. The service was very good and friendly - accommodated all our requests.

This isn’t a regular Mexican restaurant. It’s definitely more upscale and extremely delicious! You won’t get chips upon sitting (thank goodness); instead, you get soft, warm tortillas with two kinds of fresh salsa (one spicy, one mild) and a honey-lime-cilantro (not sure on last flavor) sour cream, which offsets the spiciness of the salsa. I ordered filet mignon enchiladas with grilled shrimp, cilantro rice and black beans. Unfortunately, I overate. It was delicious. Service was attentive and prompt. Next time I go, I plan on being hungrier.

Loved the food. Our waiter Sam was very caring and funny :) Really appreciate his sense of humor especially when everyone is so busy on a Friday night

My friends got to this place first then I decided to join them 20 minutes later. They still did not get to order yet, then the servers finally took our order for drinks. It took good 20 minutes for us to finally have drinks (felt like 40 mins though) Obviously, the food took way longer. But to be fair, the food was good. At the same time, it is pricey so it better be good!! The restaurant is conveniently located right by the entrance to 7 train. The place itself has a good mood. The waitors were nice but it is unpleasantly short-staffed. There was no capacity for them to pay attention to us at all. We had to constantly beg for attention to order something. My quesadilla did not come with any of the usual salsa nor sour cream. So I asked for it twice and I finally got salsa only when I finished eating. Our quick-after-work drinks and small bites took over 2 hours mostly because we were waiting for 80% of the time! Staff members were nice and patient but for this kind of speed in NYC, I will not go back.

Nice quite Mexican restaurant near Grand Central Station. Nice atmosphere and pretty good Mexican food. Prices OK but everything in New York is pricey. The service was attentive and fairly quick.

Went there with friends. The restaurant was almost empty and everyone was seated on the same area of the restaurant, which I thought it was a little unusual. The margaritas were good both in flavor and size. The meals were fresh and abundant. Service was polite but on the slower side considering there were not that many customers.

I love sinigual. I always stop by when I have the chance. The Guacamole is to die for. Try the Cadillac margarita, thank me later. Great food great staff great service.

This is one of the better Mexican spots I've been to in NYC. Ample room inside. Menu a nice blend of staples and more upscale items. Quick and attentive service. Recommended.

Title says it all. Impossible to get attention of a server, took at least 2x as long for a meal as it should have; took close to a half hour just to order- another 20m waiting for check after table cleared. Food good but won’t be returning.

Their margaritas are simple with great ingredients. The restaurant is large with many seating areas. We ordered the appetizer sampler, shrimp and table side guacamole (but it was not prepared table side) Since I'm used to high quality Mexican food in California, I found this quite unremarkable except for the warm tortillas with sweet butter.

Stopped in for a late lunch around 2p and it was pretty quiet. I really enjoyed the chips & salsa. I love guac but if I went back, I’d skip it. They made it at the table & asked how spicy, but then it just was kind of bland (I ordered medium). For $17 I was hoping for a little better. The carnitas were different, the sauce anyway, but they were good. I liked the rice & beans. My only complaint with the beans was that it was all liquid. They gave me a small spoon & there weren’t even 3 spoonfuls of beans. The tortillas were thicker, but had a good flavor (I selected flour). Service was good & steady throughout. I would eat here again.

a different kind of mexican good. not your typical choices. they have good sangria. would recommend this restauranat.

Choose this restaurant for their rating and convenience to our hotel. The place is nicely decorated. Our waitress was wonderful. Informative and helpful. The food was excellent although I thought the guacamole to be standard. Having said that, the rest of the meal was most delicious. Seating is comfortable and we never felt rushed. Close to Grand Central station. Looking forward to returning.

We were very enthusiastic about this place, but we started badly, the water was lukewarm, we asked for ice water to be brought to us, then we ordered a salad to share, they brought it after complaining, once we were almost finished the main course, and the worst thing is that it did not have air conditioning, we will not come back again

After a day traipsing around the shops you need a good feed. Sinigual was just the ticket. Great food, great service, so good we went back for lunch the day we were leaving,

I’m normally a chimichanga or burrito kind of guy-you’re not going to find it here. What you will find is some exceptionally good food. The guacamole station serves fresh, made right on the spot guacamole dip. It was crazy good. I went with the steak and shrimp-also, very good. Their margaritas were some of best we’ve ever had as well. Highly recommend this place

Another concierge staff recommended this place when I felt like having a Mexican dinner on my last night in NYC. I liked that the restaurant on 3rd Ave was within walking distance. However… When diners see “tableside guacamole” on the menu, they would expect the dish to be served with a bit of fanfare and showmanship, ie tableside. But in this case, it didn’t happen. Apparently they were all too busy. That was strange. Perhaps they should remove the word “tableside” from their menu. The flame-grilled steak fajitas with chipotle-garlic skirt steak came in substantial portions. They were all right. The Crepas de Cajeta dessert was recommended to complete my Mexican meal. I don’t often have plantain but I thought the caramelised plaintain went very well with the crepes. The restaurant had quite a nice decor and ambience, and it was fairly packed, but not a full house. However, service was patchy. All the same, Sinigual is an option to consider if you want something different, especially a quieter, more upmarket Mexican restaurant.

I lived in NYC for year and was always surprised that the Mexican food there was not great considering the Mexican population. That was years ago though and things have obviously changed! Had a great work dinner at Sinigual recently. Loved that they served tortillas and salsa instead of chips and salsa. Starters were great, good drinks, really good entrees. I'd go back for sure!

what a delightful place to enjoy an evening in NY. very welcoming staff and the place has a nice relaxed atmosphere with very pleasant waiters attending to your needs and not at all pushy or trying to rush. the signature guacamole starter is not to be missed as it is prepared infront of you and a second was ordered after the first was devoured! our main courses were very well presented and tasted amazing with very healthy portions which I thought was reasonably priced. our waiter was more than happy to recommend our dishes which did not leave any of our party disappointed.Make sure you leave some space for the deep fried ice cream............................delicious! highly recommend

I’ll start with - their chips are bad, having the wrong bite to them, and were served cold. A Tex-Mex sin! Limited menu and surprisingly expensive for the quality of food. Fajitas were served with a brown lump of guacamole and some pico. Other dishes, all in $30s were large, but lacked any real appeal. Our server spent the entire meal flirting with a table behind us so barely had time to fill our waters. Avoid this place, there are so many others that are good in New York.

My partner and I came here on our last night in NYC. Having eaten a few nights previously in the chain “Rosa Mexicana” we wanted to visit an independent Mexican restaurant. We booked a table. We showed up, we were shown to a nice table…then a few minutes later we were asked to move to another table to make it easier for the server. We moved. Our new table was directly in front of the main door and every time someone came in, a freezing cold breeze hit us. We asked to move, and the hostess moved us. Our waiter wasn’t a waiter, he was the barman. He screwed up my partner’s order. Our food came, beautifully presented, tasted pretty good although nowhere near as good as Rosa Mexicana. My partner realised he hadn’t got what he ordered. No wait staff came near us for so long that he just ate it anyway. The friendly older man who cleared tables took my partners plate away and told the barman his order had been wrong. Barman came over and said he was sure he had only asked for two tacos, not three - he had pointed at and read out the three tacos he wanted! No one came near us to ask if we wanted dessert or another drink, which is a shame as the margarita I had was nice and I wanted another. My partner flagged down the blonde haired male waiter and asked for the check. He said he would get it but he never did. Eventually the barman got it for us. Waited another age for someone to come to take the money from us and in the end we just left it on the table and walked out. I would not recommend this restaurant. From start to finish I got a “could not care less” vibe. A shame as the food and margaritas are quite good.

Cool and modern restaurant just around the corner of our hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous and the food, especially the fajitas, were really good!

Absolutely delicious. I had a strawberry margaritas that was the best I ever had. Chicken fajitas was very good although the chicken was a tiny bit dry for my taste. What gets this review a 5 stars, apart from the margaritas is the amazing guacamole, done fresh right in front of you. Heaven!

I ordered food thru Seamless. The order came incomplete, and the food was horrible. I called to either get the food for which I was charged delivered or a refund thereof. The restaurant would do neither. They blamed it on the delivery person, and after asking three times who put the food in the bag I was finally told it was the kitchen - so it obviously wasn't the delivery person's fault. These people are liars and cheats.

I travel often and feel I'm generous with my reviews. Unfortunately this restaurant was a mistake. My wife and I were walking around looking for somewhere to eat. Ran into this place and decided to give it a try without checking out reviews. The place only had five or six tables with people sitting at them. The hostess seated us. Then we sat there....and sat....ant sat.... A waitress never showed up. We decided to leave. The hostess thanked us on the way out...I looked over my shoulder and responded well we tried to eat here but no one showed up. I don't think she even responded to that. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

This place is very large and very nicely appointed. Classy and classic. Menu was varied and interesting. Food was excellent. It was fresh and tasty. Service was good. As in any large place it tends to get a bit noisy. But it is a small price to pay. Try this one out if Mexican is your thing.

What an experience! Nice decor, Strong drinks and good good with Friendly staff! What else can you ask for. 😊

Had a couple of great fajitas, the staff were nice and their beer selection was good! A really lively place, so expect a lot of noise. Both the chicken and the beef fajita were cooked to perfection with awesome tastes all around. Served with rice and beans, also great!

Our family went to NYC for Christmas and we wanted a nice Christmas dinner; Sinigual was the perfect choice. Our kids loved the Steak Nachos and our Table Side Guacamole was just OK. The complementary tortillas and sweet butter were unbelievably delicious! The kids ordered Chipotle Garlic Skirt Steak and Chicken Breast Fajitas; both were very happy with their choices. My husband and I ordered the same entree; a build your own platter with Chile Rellenos, Cheese Enchiladas, Beans, Rice and a Sweet Corn Cake. We’ve had a lot of Mexican food in our lives and we both agreed that this was the best! This is saying a lot! The service was excellent and even with a slight issue with our food being delivered cold (both were quickly replaced) we were so very happy we chose Sinigual to spend Christmas Dinner in New York. We can’t wait to go back!

Tortilla soup was very good, but I didn’t like the steak nachos. The meat was fatty and the chips were not crisp. Also did not like the chips and salsa.

I was checking for the arrangements of some venues for NYE and was shocked. So, near our hotel, I found this place, and they offered "normal" service every night. Ribs were good—friendly and attentive staff.

Had guacamole, salad with chichen, and various tacos. Everything tasted bland, pretty average. Service needs improvement, we had to wait over 10 minutes to pay

Be careful of this place. I was there during "happy hour" and ordered a glass of wine. So I had 2. When I received the bill it was for 1 glass. So I paid this but then the bar staff insisted that this was for 1 glass and I had had 2. All fine. But I had to pay for 2 (approx 14 usd) even though I'd only received a cheque for 7 usd. So the bar staff are stealing from the owners.

I was hankering for some Mexican food and this place was a bit of a let down. Our waitress was fairly disinterested or distracted and the food, while okay, but just that, okay! Certainly wouldn't go back anytime soon.

Three of us dined; two of us were “happy”, the third (me!) not so much. The overall “space” is large and lacking any real “atmosphere”, although it was Monday night so..... My “Shrimp Diabla” was over-cooked and fairly tasteless; the “tableside guacamole” was just OK, as were the tortillas. Quite disappointing really. My companions had chicken fajitas, and tacos, and both were quite pleased with their choices. So, overall, “average”, or slightly better. The brighter spot was our waitress, Veronica, who was personable and attentive. Good job!

The space is nice their hostesses and wait staff pleasant and helpful. Drinks were great but food not so much. I had the combo with chicken enchiladas and fish tacos.

Excellent service and very good dishes at a convenient price! Guacamole made in plain sight on the table. Shrimp, beef and chicken fajitas!

Great service, nice atmosphere, ok food. I was disappointed that the food lacked flavor, including the table side guacamole. How does a Mexican restaurant miss the mark on tasty guac? Especially when the chips are soooo good. The service was top notch. Even thought the food was less than impressive, the great service is enough to bring me back.

Attended without booking as it is 1 block from our hotel read some mixed reviews but thought after a long day let’s see how it does. Safe to say not disappointed. Lovely attentive staff beautiful decor inside and great cocktail menu. We were given nachos and dips to start whilst we decided. We went straight to mains knowing how filling Mexican is. I had the chefs special stuffed chilli with cheese absolutely divine like a large stuffed jalapeño. My husband had the chipotle ribs very tasty and the meat fell off the bone so tender. Huge portions so don’t over order we did get a side of retried beans which were very tasty. Overall great experience very good food if I was to criticise it could be slightly spicier but maybe there are other things on the menu for those who love spice.

So we're from Arizona where great Mexican food is easy to find. The food here was very good and the service was also very good. The table side guac was fun and tasty. Everyone was pleased with their choices. The kids menu is great and our 4 yo devoured his pizza and fries.

Great food, great service, we didn't need reservations. Stout margaritas and a nice variety of food!

I had a lovely dinner here--the outdoor space was comfortable (a plus during COVID times), the server was attentive but didn't rush us at all, and the food was good. It was a bit pricey for the portion size, but that seems pretty typical for NYC. The dessert was amazing--loved the berry tostada and big enough to share between two adults.

The fresh guac is out of this world, they prepare it right in front of you - so fresh and delicious. I had the steak and shrimp tacos - I've dreamt about them ever since.

Excellent Mexican food, prepared with fresh ingredients, attentive plate arrangement and obvious pride in delivering exceptional, non-packaged-chain-goods meals. We enjoyed the freshly prepared nachos and I ate a deliciously tender Carnitas Yucatan that made me wish to return to Mexico. It's refreshing to find a mid-town (east) restaurant that delivers an exceptionally high quality level, with a warm and welcoming service, at a reasonable price point. I won't just walk by again!

Tasty authentic mexican food. Attentive service, vibrant decor. fresh Seafood, and cooked right. Will visit again.

Excellent food and service as always. I’ve visited regularly when in New York and have never been disappointed, an upmarket Mexican restaurant with very tasty food and outstanding cocktails.

Recently treated to a full meal at Sinigual on 3rd Ave near Grand Central Terminal. The Guac is wonderful and servings generous. The tamales are perfection but service was a bit disrupted on this visit.

Fun restaurant and a real buzz. Recommended by our hotel concierge. The reasonably priced and varied food, particularly the terrific guacamole served at the table was great, but let down by very poor service. It took 30 minutes from our arrival to be able to order a drink . We had three separate waiting staff who were clearly stretched. Nobody really could be bothered and there was quite a lot of open arguments among the staff in front of clients. Would not go back and could not recommend.

We had a school group here as part of a multi-day tour. Sinigual did a buffet style experience for us and the food did not disappoint -- still thinking of their sweet corn cake! Lighting and decoration made it feel posh without feeling ostentatious. The staff was also incredibly friendly, and the restaurants were decently sized which helped accommodate our large group. If I return to New York, would love to check out their dishes from the menu. Recommended!

My family and I are here a couple years ago on a business trip to NYC. We were excited to return with friends and were not disappointed. The table side guacamole is fantastic as was all of our food.

Coming out of Grand Central looking for a place for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and we literally walked right into Sinigual (as we passed it by, we were all in the mood for Mexican food). The food is terrific. I had the beef tacos. Well seasoned and delicious. The enchilada suizas were a big hit too. The only drawback was the selection of sports on the TVs by the bar. Ok, one TV had soccer on, but the others had the Davis Cup on and neither had any football game on, and the Jets and Giants were both on the early game. I get it, not everyone is into football, but, you're a restaurant in NYC on a Sunday afternoon. One TV can have a football game on, especially when both local teams are playing.

My family of four randomly went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago while walking around midtown. We shared a sample platter and the tortillas with special sauces and butter. All of us loved everything we got, but especially the warm, soft tortillas with the flavored butter. It seems like such a simple and common thing, but I've never had tortillas that seemed to melt in your mouth. My husband had a cup of chicken tortilla soup and liked it as well. When we go back to NYC, I hope we can re-visit this restaurant to try other things.

Mexican cuisine with great variety of drinks. Appetizers are all good and food selections are plenty. Drinks at the bar have a punch! Happy hour is very good

Beautiful restaurant, excellent staff and amazing margaritas. Bronzino was super delicious and Mexican flan... strongly recommend this restaurant

We settled on Sinigual for a family dinner gathering. It was a restaurant that my daughter and my niece had visited previously and enjoyed and we had a similar experience. We were seated in a back corner table which was excellent as it was May 5 - Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant became quite crowded. Santiago was our server - he was attentive and professional even with the crowds, always making sure our glasses were full with water and adult beverages. I had the baked Peruvian half chicken which was excellent along with the yucca fries which were also very good - just the right amount of spice on the chicken and crunchy on the outside/soft on the inside fries. We will definitely return to Sinigual when we visit NYC. Sinigual means "Without equal" in Spanish - the food and service lived up to its name!

Delicious food. Would highly recommend the starter platter, however it filled us straight away! The drinks were delicious and value for money was good. Service was brilliant and really attentive.

Dinner with family the other night. Ordered the carne Assad steak with chimichurri. The steak was requested to ce cooked to medium. It arrived so overcooked that it couldn’t be chewed. The sauce was no where near any other chimichurri sauce that I had ever experienced. This place must have something good. Just not on the night we visited. Maybe just don’t order the steak.

We were here last November and came back again. As good as ever. Guacamole table side is super! Service is excellent! Highly recommend! Restaurant is beautifully designed as well.

The fajitas were ok and guacamole good (how can you go wrong w tableside guac?) but the never-seen-before wine faux pas flabbergasted me. The wine list didn’t have vintages listed, so that should’ve been the first tip. Upon inquiring they provided years no problem after checking. Ordered a wine but a glass came out when we wanted a bottle. If it wasn’t clear they should’ve asked. So I clarified we wanted a bottle and sent the glass back. When the wine came out it had already been opened, had no foil, and the waitress pretended to pull the cork out of the top like she was opening it anew, obviously a charade that was a cover up. I will give them the benefit of doubt that it was not sitting open for a long time behind the bar, but as it was lunch it was probably opened the night before (or before that). I should’ve sent it back or made a stink but had business to attend to before our next meeting started. I have never seen this misstep of wine etiquette in my life, and will never return to this mediocre restaurant.

Attended a 12 person early dinner at Sinigaul - good food, friendly staff - of you are into Tequila, a large selection awaits you... I will be back.

Went there for dinner with another couple. We started with the Chicken Quesadilla which was delicious. Much more than just thin tortillas with some chicken and cheese in it. We also ordered fresh guacamole which everyone loved. For my main course, I shared the steak fajitas. Also delicious. Others ordered combo plates and they too enjoyed their meals. For dessert, we had the fried ice cream and it was great. The service was OK not great for a busy Saturday night but overall no complaints. The noise level was not bad at all which allowed us to converse at the table. Overall, it is a nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I will go back. The bill was $90 per couple before tip but after tax. We had apps, a dessert, main course, and a few drinks.

I visited Sinigual for drinks Saturday evening and loved the dining room. The wine selection is very nice and the sangria is super tasty. I think that this is a great restaurant for a good meal or just for fun and drinks.

I haven’t had the chance to review this amazing spot since I’ve been here so many times, but I have taken far to long to do it today. My first impression, I felt very welcomed from a beautiful hostess since I stepped in. Checking out the menu I felt like having a very rich meal, with carbs, protein, veggies, of course, that traditional authentic spicy Mexican salsa, so I went for the Filet mignon enchiladas. It was not just good, it was AMAZING, the chipotle mushroom sherry sauce was very rich and slightly spicy. Stuffed in the enchilada found a tender chopped filet mignon that combined with the enchilada salsa brought a party taste to my mouth. Not yet enough, there’s a jumbo grilled shrimp skewer with peppers on top of the enchiladas. No regrets, it comes with refried black beans and pasilla-cilantro rice, I couldn’t ask for more. I have to remark the enthusiasm and hard work of the restaurant team members, from managers to server assistants, there was someone always checking on my table making sure my glass was filled and my food needs were met. Specially my five stars server Gelsey, who always smile and engage my attention from the beginning. Restaurant atmosphere is always fantastic, agave plants, stars hanging from the ceiling and big wall to wall windows. Overall a solid spot for a fast lunch or dinner with amazing margs and friends.
Pay attention when paying with credit card
We were two families who wanted to have separate tabs (October 1st). So far so good. When I paid with credit card, I was charged 95$ too much. So pay attention on the amount on the mobile credit card device when paying. At first, I thought it was a scam. When we checked out our banks online, It turned out the other family was charged 85$ less than they should have, which they paid me back afterward. I was promised by the manager that the remaining 10$ would be transferred back to my credit card within a few days. Now, 5 business days later it’s still not resolved. Honest mistakes happens, but please fix your wrongdoings in a more reasonable and customer friendly way. 10$ cash in hand would have solved it on the spot.
