Stumbled upon this little bar early on in our stay and returned with more friends the following night. Had steak mignon from the specials menu $16!!! Fillet steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare as asked for), buttery mash and seasonal veg, cooked to perfection also. It was served with a brandy peppercorn sauce - mmmmm! Also had cocktails - it was happy hour after all! - I can recommend the Cosmo! Staff friendly and helpful, and remembered us on our return visit

We had a delicious lunch and a pint at Slatterys. Service was friendly and the food was tasty. I highly recommend it! Great Irish pub! Prices were great on the food!

Following a TripAdvisor search we had lunch in this very well received pub, we ate well for cheap, the waitresses were adorable and we explained the menu well, no music too loud which makes a change from the noise of the other pubs at least for lunchtime was perfect. I recommend

Very convenient location, waiters are fast and friendly, so you can enjoy a good company in a nice place.

Found this by accident and glad we did.Great friendly bar staff and great well priced food .Not like others around it just trying to rip people off .Will def be back .

Stumbled across this bar by accident during happy hour. Intended to just have a couple of drinks then move on. In fact decided to stay for food and glad we did as it was beautiful, everything about the bar was great. A nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The waitress that served us was a young blonde girl from the Bronx and she was lovely and friendly. All in all an enjoyable afternoon.

If you're a Miami Dolphin fan, this is your place in NYC. Bartenders and servers are extra nice and try to get to know you. Great environment. Decent drink specials too

It reminded me of a 70’s Irish pub for quality of service and friendliness. The food was really excellent and the beer was good too. We were sat close to the loudest woman on the planet, so it was a bit noisy but we still enjoyed our evening and would recommend the place.

9/26/25 I threw my boyfriend a surprise birthday party here and we had the BEST time! The bartenders and staff were amazing during the event—so kind and attentive, and no one ever had to wait long for a drink. Leading up to the party, they were also super quick to respond whenever I had a question or needed to reach out by text or call. We had about 30 people, and being able to play our own music made the night even more special. Highly, highly recommend this place for a party or even just to grab a drink or some food. Great vibes all around!

Dropped in for some beers and ended up having some appetisers. Waitress was so friendly and funny. Looked after us well. Last day in New York and wish we could have went back. Would highly recommend.

Went here after work for drinks and snacks. Super fast service. The curly fries are really, really good.

Got married in NYC and brought 25 guests here after dinner. Justin, the manager, was a pleasure to deal with when we were organising. No easy feat when we were coming from Ireland. The staff were fantastic and the platters of finger food were delicious. All of our guests were very impressed. Can't wait to return on an anniversary.

My husband and I were in New York for the Big East basketball tournament. We stayed in Midtown, and looked for close places to walk for lunch or dinner. We came upon Slattery's and I just liked the look of it. Dinner and drinks were great, so was our waitress! They delivered free shots with our first round of drinks; what a nice touch. Plus, they saw my husband's Creighton University sweater and we found a 10% discount on our check! That was unexpected and so welcoming - thank you!

My husband and I popped into the Pub on a cold Friday arvo on our recent trip to New York! It was a tad chilly out, so we decided to grab some warming drinks and a bit of Irish cheer. The service was friendly (thanks Aiden) and we ended up staying for a few and chatting to regulars and bar staff alike. We did not eat much, just some fries to help counter act the alcohol but it looked great.

Friendly and attentive staff, food was very nice. Restaurant itself was a little dark but feel like it is probably better for an evening visit!

Found this bar by accident and so glad we did. Friendly service, reasonable prices and a great lunchtime deal . Very close to the Empire State building if you are thinking of having a drink before going up.

We visited Slattery’s twice during our stay in New York. Our first time was for a drink before heading up the Empire State (which is only across the road). Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a great atmosphere! Our second visit was for lunch the next day. I ordered the Crabcake sandwich from their regular menu (there is a lunch menu offer for a meal and drink for €12 between 12:00-15:00) but the Crabcake was too enticing - and it was delicious! Very generous portions and great value for money! A great find and would recommend to anyone!

The wife and I ate at two pubs while in NYC last weekend; Slattery’s had by far the best food of the two. Pros: Great burger, the Midtown burger was one of the best burger’s I’ve had in a long time the bun has a baguette texture, good quality beef, and smothered in cheese and topped with bacon and mushrooms and onions. Homemade fries are also great. Cons: only ate there once, wish we had eaten there a second time instead of at another Pub the next night.

We go here every so often for a meet up of college friends in the city. It's a great place. Food's pretty good. Beer is awesome. Service is phenomenal. We also went here for New Year's one year and it was the perfect mix of not too crowded and not too empty. And as always the prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommend it.

Not that the Morgan doesn't have good eats, but for a bit of the Old Sod, Slattery's is close and good. I had a lovely potato leek soup with bread to dunk. She had a burger with fries - more than enough to sustain us. Did not try one of the beers on tap, but another time for that.

We came here for dinner, drinks and live music and were very impressed! I ate the bangers n mash for dinner and these were the best bangers I have ever had! The mashed potatoes were pretty delicious as well. We stayed for drinks and the band that was playing that evening. Everything was fairly priced for being in midtown so you cannot complain there. Food, drinks, live music - it doesn't get any better than this! I will for sure come back in the future!

We had a late evening drink here in Midtown. The pub was quiet, even for a Sunday, but the service was good and we enjoyed the 90 minutes we spent here before returning to our West 42nd St. hotel. Worth trying out if you are in the East 36th St. area.

My son is an avid Dolphin's fan. We always go into the City for Christmas Eve and since the Dolphins were playing we decided to watch the game at Slattery's. Good thing is the service was awesome and the food was good too. I especially enjoyed the Mexican chip dish that my daughter in law ordered. After she was finished and went out, I nibbled on the rest of it for the whole game. By the way, they served good beer. I especially like IPA's.

Great place to hang out and chill. Sat upstairs which was awesome! Mark, the bartender was so cool. He made the best drinks and the food was fantastic. Relaxing, great people and outdoor seating as well. Great décor and music... makes you feel so comfortable and right at home. GREAT place for drinks and conversation!!!

We called in late evening to have a drink. Plenty of space even though there were lots of people in. Good service, good ale and a good time was had.

This is my favourite bar in NY, Claire is an amazing host and the atmosphere is great. Value for money drinks but the highlight is how hard the bar team work and how much they care about their customers. Go for happy hour and stay for the fun!

I stayed in NYC recently for 4 nights and ate dinner at Slattery's twice. Arriving about 6pm on a Saturday night I got seated immediately. I was in the mood to try some Irish whiskey, so ordered that while I looked at the menu. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie which was large and completely covered with a thick layer of mashed potatoes which had been browned in the oven. It was great and filled me right on up. On the second visit - which was on a Monday night, the place was filled when I arrived around 6pm. I ordered a beer and the Chicken Pot Pie. It turned out to be a great choice. The crust was flaky and very tasty. But the star of the meal was the cream sauce inside. It had a wonderful flavor and mixed really well with the chicken, the vegetables and pieces of the crust. It really hit the spot. This is a great Irish themed sports bar in midtown Manhattan with a great Irish menu all at a reasonable price. Recommended.

From planning to great service, they made it really easy for me to host a cocktail party with open bar and some appetizers. John is great to work with, and his staff were friendly and really helpful. The upstairs room with the open balcony on a warm September afternoon was just perfect. Everyone had a good time.

We were tired looking for a neighbourhood bar vibe with food. Nothing fancy. We found it and it made for a great meal our last evening in NYC. Friendly staff! What you'd expect on a bar menu with an Irish pub designation and it was all good, including the beer. We'll definitely go back. Reminder again that the kitchens in NYC bars usually close well before the bar shuts down. Check if you're looking to eat.

Good place! We were walking and saw it. Good food and the local beer (Slattery larger) is smooth and a good lager. Nice fish and chips. We were downstairs but most of the people went upstairs. Not too many tourists, mostly local customers, which was a good sign for us :) good relationship price/value.

My husband and I popped into the Pub on a damp Saturday afternoon on our last day in New York! We grabbed a couple of beers and watched some American football! The service was friendly and the food looked great although we had eaten a huge brunch a few hours earlier so we didn't try the food! Would recommend as a friendly place with good bar staff.

Got the rudest call 1.5 hours after a reservation time slot asking if I was still coming. When I explained we were not, the owner sarcastically said “thanks for the call letting us know” and then swore at me before hanging up. For their reservation system, I submitted a request to reserve but it clearly said it was not a confirmation, so my group made other plans.

Stopped in at Slatterly's Pub, on a whim, to escape the bitter cold outside. Was immediately greeted by friendly patrons and helpful bartender happy to pour a couple pints for us. While we enjoyed our own conversation, it was nice to engage with other patrons. Quality pub, quality people equals a great combination.

From the moment the hostess spotted our weary faces and directed us upstairs to the "cool zone" we knew we'd be taken care of at Slattery's Midtown Pub. It offers a warm and friendly ambiance to sports fanatics and casual diners alike. Given it was World Cup time, there were plenty of screens but the volume was moderate and you could still carry on a conversation. We noted groups of friends, couples, families, etc. so all felt welcome. I was feeling very casual and ordered the BBQ chicken wings for $9.95 while my husband opted for a pub-burger at the same price. We had a charming an attentive waitress who kept the Guiness and Pinot Grigio filled and chilled throughout our stay.

A lovely pub in a great location. Top class food, the staff are friendly. The place is very clean. Would highly recommend.

Give it a 3.5 stars. Stopped by to grab dinner and watched an NBA playoff game. There are two floors to this restaurant. 1st floor is mostly bar area. The second floor has seatings. Ordered the chicken wings and chicken tender for appetizers. The wings and tenders were flavorful. The chicken pot pie is a must. The chicken pot pie was flavorful and moist. The crust topping holds up. Service was quick. There was a trivia night there so it was really loud. Plenty of TVs to watch the game.

What can I say but great food and plenty of it! Superb staff, of all the places we went to in NYC, we chose this as our local! Can't wait to return

We stopped in this pub at night before the playoff game and wow what a gem! They give you a free shot upon arrival! The crowd was young but professional and not obnoxious which was nice! This NYC bar is a hidden gem! Great bartenders and service! So happy that we found this place!

This was our first time eating at Slattery's. We were very impressed with the food, service and cleanliness of the bar. Our server and bartender, Mark made our eating experience even more enjoyable. He is a funny guy. It set the tone for the rest of the day. You can't go wrong with a visit to Slattery's. The food, drinks, cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff make this a place you want to go to if in are in New York City.

Great burgers! Potato soup was also very good. Authentic Irish pub. Service was fast and friendly. Glad we stopped in.

Nice enough traditional feeling pub, with an upstairs area which works well for a private event. Staff are friendly, there’s a good range of drinks on draught and the buffet food offered during an event was pretty decent. A good option in the area for a drink.

Went there for lunch on a Saturday. It was cozy and they were playing great music. You get a free shot with your first drink, so that’s cool 😊 The nachos are huge and amazing.

The range of beers was okay but mainly IPAs, staff were very friendly, was quite close to the hotel we stayed in so we visited quite a few times!

We visited and ate at this bar a couple of times. Great find. nice range of beers, a chilled friendly barman, and the burgers are fabulous ( so good we had them twice). Would recommend.

It was a great experience! Everybody was super kind and supportive as I was doing a birthday event! I would definitely recommend this place for vibes, food, and drinks! The host is an awesome person and will help out whenever!

We held our annual blast party at Slattery's Midtown Pub on June, 15, 2023 for the second consecutive year. Over 75 people attended. Slattery's did a great job for our party. The ambience, food, drinks, and the service exceeded even last year's performance, which I did not think was possible. If you are looking to have a large group party, this is the place to go. Make an appointment with Justin or John and tell them what you want and they will customize a great party for your needs. You will be complimented by your guests if you have your party at Slattery's. -PM

First visit on our first night, greeted at the bar by Craig - the happiest Irishman in NYC! Had another three visits over the New Year period, all great! The Guinness is well kept and well poured with some other brilliant beers on tap. Only ate bar snacks but what we had was pretty good. Amazing big screens for all sports.

I started with the potato-and-leek soup, and some toasted baguette bread. Good soup, nice chunks of baked potato, chopped leeks you could taste. The "Midtown Burger" - swiss, mozzarella, bacon, onion, mushrooms, and a little BBQ sauce, dressed and served with fries. This was total overkill, and in the best possible way. A couple of bites in and I needed a knife and fork to attack the burger properly. A couple of pints of Smithwick's Irish Ale helped wash the burger down. Slattery's has some great bartenders, which is why I keep coming back. It's a big place, with seating downstairs and upstairs. Good food, good beer, and a great view of the Empire State Building when you walk back to 5th Avenue.

Great place to grab a bite to eat for dinner without any fuss. The midtown burger option was great, very juicy and one of the best I've had in NYC which did surprise me when you consider the options you have.

The pub looks nice from the outside so we decided to stop for a drink, the promise of a free shot was just a bonus so we headed in. We sat down in a bar with a handful of people in it yet we had to ask for the table to be cleaned. We waited 10 minutes to be asked what drink we’d like and then the server was just miserable. We are not a hard to please kind of couple but man alive, cheer up Charlie, you have a job. No shot either just added to the insult. We left after the first drink

I find Slattery's to be friendly, clean and have great food. The food is very good and the portions are generous. If you take the train into Manhattan it is only a 15 minute walk from Grand Central. If you take a cab, it is 5 minutes away.. Our bartender Mark made our experience even more enjoyable. Mark is a very funny bartender. The thing I find interesting is his positive opinion about the owners and the pubs employees. He loves his job and that stands out in his very witty personality.

We found ourselves walking around from the Grand Central Station on a warm and sunny day around noon on a Saturday in June and came upon the Slattery's Midtown Pub. We weren't sure if it was open yet, but we did go in and found out that we were the first customers for the day ! A very cheerful and smiling hostess greeted us and quickly made us comfortable. Like any typical bar or a pub, there were the large TV screens showing various sports channels, a few beers on tap and wide range of bottled beers. There seemed to be a full service Restaurant upstairs but that was not open yet. We didn't get around to tasting any food but this seemed like a popular place going by the number of people it can accommodate at the bar and in the Restaurant. Some cheeky posters on the wall to make the reader smile and a cozy, friendly ambiance made it a very welcome place. Though we left after a couple of beers, I would definitely like to visit this place again !

I came here so I could play Harry Potter trivia AD, and it was a good pub. Had some good food selections, got the curried chips The lighting on the top floor was a bit dark, but overall was a good pub, and location was good and good access to other parts of NY

Had food and drinks two days on the trot, Clare was wonderful made us feel real welcome, she was such a laugh, nothing was to much trouble. Will be back again.

This is a great pub. There’s a really long bar with plenty of seating and the service from the staff is fast. Lots of screens make following the sport easy and everywhere is clean. One of the best pubs in the area.

Called in on speck for a quick beer after a hot day in New York. The barman made us totally welcome as soon as we sat down at the bar. The bar selection was excellent and we even got a free shot with our first drink. The friendliness of the Irish shinned through as Dermot and Craig served the drinks with the crack to which the Irish are famous for ! We returned a couple of nights later and felt at home as soon as we opened the door. Thank boys you run a great bar.

We had a lunch here which was great value. I had the Chicken salad which was huge but gorgeous. Our waitress was friendly and showed such patience when dealing with an extremely demanding female customer.

This is where Dolphins fans hang out. Fairly typical bar, with a long bar downstairs and tables upstairs. Friendly staff, Guiness on tap, and actually pretty darn good veggie burgers. The rest is typical pub food. Good value. I'd come back.

We held our 10th annual blast party here on June 9th. I had meet with John and Justin Slattery planning everything out. I had visited 8 other places. Slattery's delivered unbelievable service to our over 100 guests who came from all over the country. The drinks, the food, and the service exceeded my high expectations. If you are looking for a party venue, this is the pub to have it. Call up the Slattery's, meet with them, check the facilities and sign up. The people who come to your party will compliment you profusely on the party venue. Pete Martin, Master Blaster

This area on NYC can be pricey so using "around me" app i found this "pub" while waiting for an evening appt. The bartender was friendly, burger was right on and the beer, for this area, was only 6.00 for draught at the bar.

Little irish pub in midtown/murrary hill border. Food is great, fish and chips are amazing and good burgers. Lunch deal for $12 plus a beer is a steal. Bartenders are friendly, great service. Its an NC bar for college basketball season and a Miami bar in the nfl season, but lots of great TVs to watch any event. World cup was amazing. Go here, eat drink and be merry.

Today we were here the second time, because our hotel is near there and it was really good. After we drunk a few beers amd cocktails the barkeeper get us a beer and cocktail for free. And they are really alertly. The prices are okay and the atmosphere is great. There aren't to much people and you surely find a place. I loved it! Should I come back to NY I will come here again. :-) thumbs up!

Stopped in for a little lunch. Pleasantly surprised. Only person we saw working was the guy behind the bar and he pretty much covered the whole place by himself. It wasn’t super busy but he did a great job. Never stuck waiting for anything. Wings were really good.

We stopped in for a few beers and some early dinner as a group. the meals were very good, the beer and service was superb. If you want a mid town stop its recommended.

Last year, I was looking to organize an informal NYC reunion for a bunch of workmates when, unfortunately, my plans got delayed for health reasons. I finally was able to get everything in motion again a few months ago, but was having trouble nailing down an Irish pub for the occasion. Lucky for me I eventually connected with John Slattery of the awesome Slattery's Midtown. John went above and beyond, getting the fabulous upstairs bar and balcony area for my group, not to mention providing A-1 bartenders Cormac and Marie, plus some fantastic appetizer spreads (I highly recommend the delicious Midtown Combo plate). John really came to my rescue! The bar is topnotch, the people are great, and my group had the best freakin' time. Thanx John!

We stopped in for a couple of drinks and a quick early dinner. We were seated downstairs in a long dark room near the bar. We had potato skins, quesadillas and a salad. The food was okay, but not anything special. Some missing ingredients in my salad and stale tortilla shell bowl were a disappointment. Good place for drinks or quick bite. We would probably try one of the many other Irish pubs in the area next time though.

Popped in to watch a game one afternoon. It's a standard enough Irish bar, atmosphere was ok, but the food was poor. I think there a probably better spots for food and drink in midtown.

The NYC alumni chapter for UNC watches games here, so I hit it up for a UNC basketball game while in town. They section off a portion of the upstairs for Tar Heel fans, and have a menu with Carolina-themed plates on it. You can also get beers in blue cups! Had the Carolina BBQ, it was great. The location to Midtown attractions, especially Times Square and the Empire State Building, is fantastic...can easily pop in for a drink and some food.

Food was good and reasonably priced but a group of young, loud, obnoxious foul talking punks of Middle Eastern heritage spoiled our whole evening and left us with a very bad impression of New York City and all the foreigners (legal or illegal) that live/visit there. We mentioned the LOUD and foul language the group used to the waiter but he just said "I know" but didn't do anything about it - he was young so I guess he didn't know how to handle the situation. Every other word began with 'f' - the lone girl in the group of 5 boys was the worst offender. If people want to use foul language that's up to them but in a public place must they be so LOUD! People just don't have respect for others anymore. We hurried up and ate and left in a hurry. It's a shame that other guests and their behavior/language dictate whether you have an enjoyable time or not. I gave this pub a poor rating even though the food was good because I think someone working in the restaurant should have said something to the loud-mouthed, foul talking punks! We've been in plenty of bars and we know and expect people to use foul language, but this was the worst we've EVER experienced - every other word and from a young girl??? Disgusting!

We came across Slattery's in need of a beer after a morning of epic sightseeing. The lady who served us was lovely and friendly. Good beer, nice atmosphere and great fries with what my partner described as 'the best curry sauce he had ever tasted!'

You'll never beat the Irish 💪🏼 serious spot, such great staff, great food and even better drinks!!

This was a quality place to visit, with staff making you feel very welcome - which is a good thing in a big city like New York. I had the Slatterys Burger, and old fashioned chips/fries - It all tasted excellent, and the burger was a good recommendation good value also, at around $12 Drinks were great, and all the clientele from regulars to visitors were made welcome, special hats off to Andrew, what a guy, he certainly helped make my stay memorable!

Went into Slattery's on the Sunday night of our recent visit to new York ,after meeting the owner justin on Saturday night. Even though food is available (as we ate there Monday)it was still like a traditional pub from back home and not a restaurant that serves drink .had a great night in there as the super Bowl was on .. great atmosphere. . Went back in Monday lunchtime for food and the food was delicious. . Will certainly be back and will make it our local while in nyc

Myself and my bf visited nyc for the first time in 2014 and called in here a few times for a beer after a long day walking in the city! We returned to nyc in nov 2016 and the bar maid recognised us which was lovely and we were able to sit and chat with her! We also ate in here a few times and the food was delicious! We are returning this November and will definitely be back! Highly recommended for a beer and some lunch or dinner! :)

Dropped by for dinner. Thought that the listing of food was weak but found something that would do the trick (grille salad) and really enjoyed it... would have it again. For a 'pub' the beer list is weak. This would be the reason I would not go back.

My partner is a big Friends fan and saw that there was a Trivia night being held at Slatterys, so we rode down for a fun evening. We were pointed to the upstairs bar and found a fairly large group of people keen to take part in the 'quiz' No entry charge, but there was a requirement to purchase food and drink from the bar. This wasn't a problem, so we sat down and ordered a small selection from the bar menu and a couple of drinks each. Pleasant staff and good service, the Food came quite quickly and tasted ok, reasonable price too; the beers were good too - $14 for a couple of Heinekens, draft was cheaper. The quiz was fun and everybody had a good time - great way to spend an evening!

Great comfort food for those hungover New Years days. Got the cheese quesadillas and they were heavenly. Good service with quick turnarounds.

I stopped in here to have drink and dinner. I use a wheelchair and all the tables on the 1st floor are the high-topped kind, no way to eat dinner comfortably for me so just had a drink and curly fries. The regular tables are all the 2nd floor (no elevator). Hostess was apologetic and she asked the owner to talk to me but he did not. You would think it would be possible to include a least one regular table on the 1st floor. My drink (and the free shot) and fries were fine.

Very nice place, good food and cold Quinness! Fast service, not expensive and nice people working here. We come again for sure.

This is an excellent pub that seems to be very well ran. Staff here are very professional and polite. Food here is very good and is not over priced. The place is very clean and very well looked after from what we saw.

I was taking real estate courses down the street and saw the lunch special sign on my way to the Morgan library and museum(which is great!) A glass of wine(or beer) with your lunch. and my BLT salad - with chicken and avocado, was about the best salad I have EVER had!!! i had it two days in a row, and I'll be going back! Great bartenders, wonderful flat screen TV's - this is a great spot in midtown, just east of 5th avenue!!!!

We were visiting NYC and after a long day of sight seeing on a rainy day, we found this Pub right near our hotel. The food was wonderful. My wife had a french dip that she said was one of the best that she ever had and I had a steak sandwich that was outstanding as well. The prices were very reasonable for midtown and the service was outstanding.

We enjoyed our 1st visit so much, we went a second time. Both times the food was good quality. Burgers, onion rings, salads, and more. Reliable, good sized helpings with Irish bar staff serving. They also have steaks. Recommend it.

Small Irish bar with a decent selection of beers and spirits. Made to feel welcome when we dropped in on the way back to the hotel. Lone bar tender worked his socks of the night we where in and kept the beers flowing around the busy bar.

I stopped in late one night for a Shepard's pie and a pint or two. Very good food and Andrew is the best bartender in the business! He even managed to keep the sodden crowd in check while taking care of his other customers.

Would have given 5 stars if the comedy night was placed upstairs instead of in the bar area. Food was excellent. Had the Midtown Burger and it didn't disappoint. Very hefty and tasted great. Being a Dolphins fan had to check the place out since it's the headquarters for Dolfans NYC

We organized a football draft at Slattery's - the staff was amazing, the food was great, drinks were even better. They've undergone some renovations since I was last there and it's beautiful - the upstairs area was great!

After a semi long flight to our apartment 34th & madison, we out for a bit to eat and found this nice little pub a couple of blocks away from our hotel. We had nice burgers and some ale for drinks. Staff was nice, service good, as was the burgers. Could recommend this little pub to anyone who wants a quick bite to eat late in the evening. Thay have a nice terrace on the second floor, so you can enjoy your meal outside of you want (so did we)

Lunch was excellent quality and the price was great value, it included a complimentary glass of wine or beer. It was a person holding a sign at street corner that alerted us to the bar.
