After spending a number of weeks in southern Italy I can tell you this is authentic pizza. I had the anchovy pizza and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. A nice balance of cheese and sauce on great pizza dough. OK, ok, i would have liked more anchovy but it's nothing to complain about. Shared a green salad which was a nice balance for the pizza. limited seating so get there early. The owner had just returned from Naples the day before and he was nicely friendly.

Place managed with the liveliness of the Neapolitans, lots of smiles and above all excellent pizza in New York...which is no small thing!!!! The Genoese delicious 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Conclusion if you are in New York and want to spend a cheerful evening with excellent cuisine and the ideal place ❤️

Recommended place for those who want to eat a real Neapolitan pizza in New York. Naturally the prices are not comparable to Italian ones but they are not more expensive than the city average. However, the quality is guaranteed. We found a seat immediately however, as the place is small, it is best to book. Pleasant experience.

The best pizza in NYC! Everyone that works there is very friendly and in particular Salvatore. I strongly recommend to go there and enjoy a tasteful pizza! Great job! 👏

We came on our honeymoon to New York and discovered this pizzeria. Really exceptional. Real Neapolitan pizza, really nice staff fast and friendly. Super recommended

This quaint establishment is a real gem on W Houston. I took a recommendation to eat here from a close friend, a Naples native. It exceeded all my expectations and more! The workers were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Song E Napule's atmosphere was cozy and authentically Italian; I felt very at home there. The pizza was fabulous also—I got the pesto (specialty) pizza. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you want good pizza, this is a MUST go. Happy eating!

Having left Italy, I never thought I would find such a welcoming place in NYC. Very good pizza and very varied menu. Very polite and friendly staff. Fair price: it helped us to understand also at the urn issues regarding tipping in the USA.

Tried to eat dinner Saturday night. The owner puts on a big show and display of hand clapping to overly loud music (actually offensive). However after waiting 20 minutes for our reservation we then come to find out that our order was never put in to the kitchen There must be a hundred other decent Italian restaurants where you can eat a slice of pizza, have a salad or pasta that will be better organized than Song E Napule I would avoid it and will never return. Service is a joke

I really enjoyed this place. The service was great, loved the staff. I got the pizza and the Bolognese. The pizza was very good. The only issue I had was with the Bolognese, as there was too much meat. I personally like more noodles with a little bit last night.

Let me start by saying we had a great time! Waiter was fun and service was spot on. Food is fantastic. Overall for us it was a great dinner and we will definitely go back. However, I believe the value of Trip Advisor is to do exactly what the name says, Advise people on their trips:). The restaurant is NOT practicing social distancing. It is actually so crowded that it might make some people uncomfortable pre-covid. For us we were ok because we have all had covid and been vaccinated. If you are someone that is ok with the crowds at this point, then this place is definitely worth the trip. Hopefully Song E Napule will not be upset with my review because it should ultimately save them from someone who might not be ok with the small crowded space. Again, food and service were fantastic!!!!!

This place is a hidden gem. Definitely feels like you are in Italy, all ingredients for food are from there....too quality! Grazie mille!

This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Yes I’ve had lots of experience eating pizza. Yes, you should make reservations. Yes this authentic fresh Italian pizza place is as good as everyone says. We had a white pizza special with truffle oil, prosciutto and cheese and it was incredible. The dough is like eating the crispy wing of an Italian angel and the savoring bites deliver you into another world full of cherubs that only sing beautiful Italian opera. Don’t even get me started on the cannoli. If one pastry was capable of ending all the violence and discord in the world it would be this one served here. If North Korea and America served these cannoli at the last summit, little Rocket Man would have agreed to anything.

Pizzeria restaurant run by Ciro. Preparation and reception all Neapolitan, as well as the gastronomic proposal. Nice atmosphere, good food and medium to high prices, higher than average. Good waiters

Was ok to good pizza not great,ok service overall disappointing. Limited beer and wine selections. Next time we return to NY hopefully we find a great pizza.

REAL Neapolitan pizza, genuine products, superior quality extra virgin olive oil, exceptional coffee, probably the best in NY. Ciro the owner, an exquisite person, present with his splendid family, made sure that everything was in order, making us feel practically at home! P.S. beyond the delicious pizza, the restaurant is really worth trying, it felt like being in Italy. On our next return to NY, Song and Napule will be an obligatory stop!!

Unusual pizzeria. Small and the the over is brick, round… the wall are decorated with pictures of a legendary soccer player Maradona. The ingredients and the taste are superb. I would argue that this pizzeria is definitely among top 10 in all of NYC. I know that it is rated as one of the best 100 pizzas in the world. I would agree. The dough on a regular Margarita was superb. Great taste. Even the box of the pizza looks very different from any other regular pizzeria’s. It’s made in Italy and it shows the Napolitanen bay. I would definitely come back here and try more pizza verity.

An excellent restaurant in New York. Beautiful plates and attractive prices. Friendly staff! I recommend

Fabulous Italian food on UWS. Wood fired pizzas and classic good chicken, fish and pasta dishes. Beautiful upscale ambience, nice outdoor seating and all around good service. Highly recommend .

Visited here because of the reviews and wasn’t let down. Very small place but the food was great. Oven cooked pizza with loads of taste and a great little place in a good location. Well worth a visit.

Amazing Napolitan food. The pasta, pizza, tiramitzu are excellent. Needless to say that the coffee is also amazing. The service is fast and efficent. Love this place. It's my favorite place in New York

We hunted this place out after some recommendations and we were glad we made the effort. A very friendly local hangout serving excellent traditional food. The pizza was not only fantastic but it was great watching it get made and cooked in front of us.

Some friends recommended Song and Naples; I remembered to know the restaurant for the episode of the TV format LITTLE BIG ITALY. We were in a group, adults and children, we ate pizza, scarpariello, pasta and potato, all delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizza, pasta al dente and tasty. To top also the devils with Nutella. Professional staff, welcoming, smiling, the skill of Enzo stands out. Friendly and attentive Owner Ciro. Everything really good, quality raw materials. Highly recommended!!! Thanks again for the nice evening and the cheerfulness.

After a few years we returned to Song in the new location near the previous one. Great food and professional service, plus the friendliness of the staff. We will be back when.... we return to NY.

It made our last day in New York special. The waiter told us how the restaurant got its name and it was a nice little retreat before saying good bye. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we had red wine with the white pizza we ordered. I tried it there for the first time and I still talk about it :)

If you are in New York and you are nostalgic for Italian food, especially pizza, then this is the right place All very good, fast service, very friendly staff Absolutely not to be missed

An authentic pizza oven is squeezed into this tiny place, with a surprisingly varied menu beyond just pizza. Really friendly staff dressed in Napoli FC shirts and worshipping a picture of Maradona above the oven. We really enjoyed our meal.

Cozy place in NY for a real Neapolitan pizza. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. They also let kids make their own small pizza :)

Not much to say. The pizza is good, one of the best Neapolitan pizzas found in NY. We went there specifically to try it, I also liked the area, Greenwich Village is always beautiful. Three different pizzas: vegetarian, margherita and mortadella and pistachio (yummy!). Format 12", which corresponds to small but correct for us as it is the closest to the pizzas we have in Italy. The bill, which already includes the "tip" is high, but it makes no sense to compare it to the costs of a pizzeria in Italy. In New York everything is very expensive, even a pizza margherita. But at least it's good here!

Very friendly local and fantastic pizza, friendly staff and helpful prices in line with the rest of the city...advice

Very good pizza with real Italian ingredients Very good tomato pasta Friendly and nice staff I highly recommend

Flawless authentic Italian food punctuated by excellent service. Every item we ordered was perfect. Perhaps the best mortadella I have eaten outside of Italy. An absolute must try. We cannot wait to return.

Very attentive personnel, but it is a small restaurant, do not expect a fancy place, the pizza is very good, specially the crust, truly italian pizza.

I am a TripAdvisor member from 2015 and I am writing my first review just now because of the meal I had yesterday at Song E Napule. My girlfriend and I moved to NYC from Italy recently and yesterday we were craving pizza. Real, good pizza. Having seen this pizzeria on Instagram, we decided to go. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation, but the owner was kind enough to have us seated shortly after our arrival. The pizzeria is very small, so make sure to reserve a table. When I ordered the Calzone Classico, the owner suggested me to try another plate, the "Song E Napule", in the most Neapolitan fashion. It's always a good sign when this happens, so I quickly said yes without even knowing the ingredients. It was the best calzone/pizza I've ever had. When the "Pallone di Maradona" arrived, a fried and baked pizza dough topped with Nutella, chaos ensued. The good kind of chaos. Go for it!

outstanding pizza! wow. they’re also on seamless (my fiancé and I totally order from here all the time— it’s always quick and delicious).

We stopped in after shopping around SoHo. We really enjoyed our freshly made pizza. The ambiance of this little cafe is quite endearing. Once we placed our order I could see the chef preparing our pizza and as soon as it was done it was brought to the table. The dough is light, fresh, and authentic. A must visit.

Very tasty pizzas and friendly staff, we felt welcome! Small and cozy restaurant so it is recommended to reserve a table.

Tiny festive full of music. The star of the show is the pizza and it’s fantastic chewy perfect dough.

Finally after phantom Italian restaurants we found the real Italian cuisine, Adelaide greeted us beautiful, good, professional and above all true Italian, great food, potato croquettes, Sorrento gnocchi rich in mozzarella, freshly baked hot bread and especially ferrarelle water!

We were last night, November 26, 2024 for the first time, we are from Puglia and we wanted Italian pizza , we order 3 people from 33cl a bottle of still water a daisy a devil chopping board cold cuts a buffalo mozzarella (about 200gr) and tiramisu and a panna cotta bill without tip 162 euros .. I always go away without making controversy but this is a real scam in New York .. local advice at least are honest ..p.s the good pizza are from Puglia and I know the good pizzas .. not recommended

This is one where we had high expectations because of the great trip advisor reviews. Yes, the pizza was good. But it wasn't fantastic. Mostly it was just too loud. The music was on high volume and if you are going to do that, at least have a good sound system. The grilled calamari was very good. And the prices were reasonable.

Near the Natural History Museum on a typical gloomy New York day, a ray of sunshine and comfort for the Italian palate! Excellent pizza, excellent panuozzo, excellent first courses and desserts! Very kind. Highly recommended and accessible given the crazy prices in New York

My husband and I had a fantastic evening at Song E Napule. The owner was welcoming and helpful (introduced me to a terrific wine). The pizza was fantastico. The atmosphere was fun and energetic. Reminded us of a restaurant we ate in in Herculaneum, at the foot of Pompeii. We were even gifted a free dessert! Highly recommend.

Beautiful evening with good food and great music in a very quaint setting. Exceptional Neapolitan staff. Products of the highest quality. It also offers gluten free pasta, fish and pizza. Highly recommended!

Truly a spectacular pizza even better than Naples. You really feel that the Raw material is Italian, from appetizers to pizza. Friendly staff

Pizza five stars.Best quick service and symphaty.Pizza best in town like in Naples. The prices are very smart and the beer good.

A small spot and reservations are highly recommended. Based on the reviews, I had high expectations and thought the food was just average.

Had the eggplant parmesan and it was outstanding! The pizza was also great in neapolitan style. It's highly ranked on the sites. Small restaurant as many are in this area. Make reservations. Godly recommended. 👍👌

Fantastic pizza, try the classic calzone. Friendliness typical of Campania. Francesco was really kind and very professional

Looking for a real Neapolitan pizzeria we were recommended by friends to go to this place. The choice was right. Delicious pizza, the owners Ciro and Giovanni, like all the staff, were friends who immediately made you feel at ease and at home. On this occasion there was also the presence of the owner of a well-known pizzeria in Naples who came to celebrate his birthday in this place (this says a lot for the goodness of the products). What to say? We will return in a few evenings before returning to Italy to eat and experience the atmosphere of Naples. I highly recommend it

Recomendable 100% la pizza de este local, muy bien ubicado en el límite dé Greenwich Village y SoHo. El restaurant es pequeño y le da un toque porque no es muy masivo (capacidad máxima 28 personas), valor por persona 30 dólares. 100% recommended the pizza of this place, very well located in the limit of Greenwich Village and SoHo. The restaurant is small and gives a touch because it is not very massive (maximum capacity 28 people), value per person 30 dollars.

Pizza was great, fresh and tasty. But a large and small pizza + 4 beers totaled in $90. There’s 18% service included

Don't order from this place. Three times is the charm, pizza always very late and very cold and messy. First time, I called back and the manager apologized and promised my next pizza was on them, when I tried to claim it a month or so later, they had no recollection and wouldn't honor it. Just tried once again, pizza was promised in 20 minutes, came an hour and 20 later, cold and sloppy again, so just sent it back. Will stick to my regular Lombardi's, never again Song E Napule.

We went here with high expectations of having a Neapolitan Pizza (they call it "Ahh-Beets" in New Haven) and were completely underwhelmed. We ordered a large anchovy. First: the pizza was under cooked and doughy at the edges and after pointing out that I was expecting the crust to be crisp, I was told that I should have ordered it well-done. Not sure how they do it in Naples, but something tells me its not under cooked. Nothing like laying the blame for disappointment on the customer--not the baker. Second: We ordered anchovy and I had to get creative to make sure the particular slice i was removing for myself had one on it. Usually, the anchovy pizzas I order leave no doubt whatsoever about what you ate, unfortunately, there were so few anchovies on this pizza, that anyone looking to avoid having the residue of it on their breath need not worry about it here. Might as well have been a Margharita style, since there was just about nothing else on it.. My Partner and I are visiting Naples in November (which was part of the reason we were excited about coming here), so I will be anxious to perform a cross-check for accuracy, but I've had hundreds of New Haven Pizzas in my lifetime and already know that this is NOT a Neapolitan "Ahh-Beets".

The bright blue-and-white decor of the restaurant marks it as evocative of a coastal seafood restaurant-- and certainly, I rather enjoyed my starter of tender squid, zucchini, and eggplant. But there is much more to recommend this establishment: solid good wines, crispy wood-fired pizzas, and inventive pasta dishes. My guest had the a creamy burrata starter and squid-ink tagliatelle with shrimp, which he rather enjoyed. My Neapolitan pizza (anchovies!) was scrumptious. But even more impressive than the food was watching the staff, who clearly had been well-trained, moving briskly between tasks, and serving customers attentively. A professional operation, top to bottom.

Pretty good! Ordered takeout but wished we had stayed. I love small venue restaurants, it lets you interact with everyone.

We had a great time with excellent service and top food! A light in a New York full of cheap, fat food! Congratulations to the menager who served us a real professional

Very simply, best pizza in NYC . Small location but clean , pizza would rank high also in Italy . Service quick and effective Definitely worth trying

Great pizza, outstanding pastas, et all. The wine are value and solid. Delightful informal dining every time. Pizza worthy of takeout/delivery.

We went with a friend this thursday 11 of may in the upper west side location, we walked in we got a table then outiside as first to come first to serve, The staff was nice the venezuelan girl, the waiters inside and the italian girl food runner, except for one terrible italian waiter with the section outside which took our order and let felt us like we were there like we were doing a favour to him, no explanations ,took our order disappear coming just to take off our plates so fast and happy we were finishing, cold cold service no smiles , at the end we split the bills cash and cards the bills was ok average for new york ,he coild not get the 20% tips since the pos got only 20%of half when you split he told me so he came after me at this time talking to me i am italian trying to be friendly and ask me for more money after the terrible service i lt him some cash and he runned away telling ciao caro since he got his money,i work in the industry since long time and the owner should watch his stuff cause this italian guy that told me then he was leaving in new york for 10years he really create a loss with his attitude in a company like that!!

Came here with my wife and a longtime friend who suggested this place. Pizza was great and worth the wait. Seating is limited and it gets loud in there, but would go again in a heartbeat. Best to have a reservation if you are traveling during peak time (day before Thanksgiving).

This place is amazing. We ate there twice during our stay in New York. The first time we had pasta and dessert and the second time we had a 26" pizza and dessert. The price's are reasonable for New York and the restaurant is small; however the food is outstanding and my advice is to book before you go; it get's very busy!!

The pizzas were amazinggg. We really love it as well as their pastries. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu

Excellent pizza, hands down the best in NYC Pasta was also excellent, stuffed gnocchi with truffle cream was heaven! Decent variety of deserts as well

In a hovel of giant pizzas, hot pasta, and American crap, song’ and napule was like a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. The pizza is very good and absolutely comparable to the Italian one, the place is quiet and relaxing, very pleasant staff. Average prices for NYC, for lunch there is an option with discounted prices for some pizzas, appreciated. Espresso coffee identical to the Italian one. Highly recommended

We were the only non-Italian speakers present when we visited. The pizza was incredible and the service very warm and welcoming.

I’m Italian and I wanted to try this place, mentioned in the best NY’s Italian Pizzerie. Margherita was good. As appetizer I tried burrata and prosciutto: the fact is, it was not burrata but Mozzarella. When I asked about that, to one of the very kind guys, he asked me what is the difference between Mozzarella and burrata. In addition, I do not understand because a place called ‘Song e Napule’ doesn’t have any Neapolitan dessert in the menu and no limoncello as well. Anyway, I will come back but just for pizza.

We stumbled upon this tiny Italian restaurant and are so glad that we did. It is a gem. The stuff is I credibly friendly and the owner came over to chat with us and ended up making me a special dish of fresh calamari and tiny tomatoes from Italy. It was delectable. The pizza was just as good. I can’t wait for a retune trip. Don’t miss it. Puts other more well know spots to shame.

Great authentic Italian food and super friendly service. Had pizza and pasta. Both really great. Will definitely be back.

Went to the upper west side location with friends. We had the burrata salad, speck salad, gnocchi, margherita and capricciosa pizza….everything was AWESOME!!! Make reservations, it gets very busy (not surprised with such good food!)

This is definitely going to be my go to place for pizza!!! So far everything on the menu was on point!

Being from Naples and feeling at home in New York is a unique and unexpected sensation. Highly recommended place and very kind staff. Pizza that has nothing to envy of some places.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! The food was to die for! We both had pizzas, best I have tasted outside of Italy! You have to go here !!

This is the cutest little place and the pizza is amazing! It's a small space so you'll be very cozy with your neighbors, but it's so NY!

**A corner of Naples in the city: an authentic experience at Song e Napule** If you are looking for a corner of Naples in the city, the restaurant pizzeria Song e Napule is the right place for you. It is not just a restaurant, it is a real journey through the flavors and atmosphere of Naples. The welcoming location will make you feel immediately at home, as if you were in a typical Neapolitan trattoria. The food is simply exceptional. From the pizza, prepared according to tradition, with fresh and genuine ingredients, to the dishes of Neapolitan cuisine, everything is taken care of down to the smallest details to offer you an authentic culinary experience. Not only the flavors, but also the aromas and colors will make you feel as if you were in the heart of Naples. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend the perfect dish or wine to accompany your dinner. You can feel the passion for their work and the love for tradition that is reflected in every dish served. In short, Song e Napule is a place that if it didn't exist, you would have to invent it. It is a restaurant that proudly carries on the culture and flavors of Naples, making you live an experience that you will not easily forget. If you love good food and authenticity, you cannot miss a visit to Song e Napule.

We went before heading to the theater. The food was outstanding! The mozzarella is the best we've ever had, and the nutella stuffed dessert pizza was a huge stand-out. We had excellent service, and consider this the best meal we had in NYC during the week. So, so good!

We found this place at the last minute one evening and made a reservation about 15 minutes prior. The only reason I gave this place four stars is because it is super super tiny and it made me a bit claustrophobic sharing a table with people I didn’t know. But the food and service was amazing. I had the lasagna and my husband had the margarita pizza.

Great spot in the upper west side. This is service and food together. The pizza is some of the best I've had. The eggplant was outstanding!

The restaurant is very nice, and the staff is very friendly and kind. The pizza is very good (I'm Italian). The only one thing surprised me is that the staff can't speak Italian although it's an Italian restaurant. Obviously the last thing I said is a joke. Thanks for all, I recommend it.

We came from Chicago and were very surprised how amazing and tasty this pizza could be! Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, and real PIZZA! Thank you! Looking forward to be back!

I was craving a good Italian coffee as I wanted to change from the regular American coffee, with the manager calling us from the street, we taught he looked like a nice person and decided to enter. When we told them we wanted just a coffee (that we would’ve finished in 5min and leave) he literally kicked us out and yelled “GO TO STARBUCKS”. Is that how we treat people now? You should be ashamed. If I wanted Starbucks I would’ve gone there but I wanted good coffee. I understand you didn’t want us to monopolize a table just for a coffee but you should be happy people travelled all the way there just for an espresso and as I said, we would’ve taken no more than 5 minutes. You seemed nice from far but you definitely aren’t.

Even though the place is small and tables and chairs are very close, the pizza was hot out the oven, the staff was friendly. They didn't sell pizza by slices, but the 4 piece was still a one-person portion. It wasn't overly cheesy or too much sauce, just the right amount. I would visit this place again.

I rated this place a good review after we ate there. We got home a few days later and got a 30 dollar no-show charge on our credit card. I have sent 3 emails and 2 phone calls trying to resolve this with no response. I have sent them my receipts as well!!!!!

Sunday afternoon in Greenwich Village and looking for a place to have a quick bite. Saw this place advertised and well reviewed on Trip Advisor so gave it a go. After walking past on opposite side of road twice (it's a small place!) we found it. Open fronted, the place has about 18 covers inside and 6 outside. The kitchen looked bigger than the eating area. We were the only non Italians in there. My wife had pizza, I had Spaghetti Vongole. Both were excellent- pizza thin crust, puffed up around edge, fresh toppings and very very flavoursome: a good size too, not overwhelming, but ample for a lunchtime. Vongole was plentiful with plump, really tasty clams (too often I find they are there in name only- small and without any real flavour: not the case here. Lots of them, covering a helping of good, al-dente spaghetti, in a thick, almost gloopy salty, garlic sauce. One of the best vongole I've had. Service was included on a weekend, but more than happy to pay the 18% for the attentive friendly approach. Would highly recommend.

It seems to be in a pizzeria in the historic center of Naples the way it is organized. Typical delicious pizza with high and central fine cordon. The only flaw a little expensive, rightly the answer would be but you are in New York in an upscale neighborhood. Seriously, go there is Top, too bad nn have taken the picture with Ciro Iovine.

Exceptional, as appetizers we tried croquettes, meatballs with sauce and aubergine parmesan: 10/10. As pizza a classic daisy and a sausage and friarielli, these are also delicious. If you are homesick it is the best Italian place you can find in Manhattan. Service was also perfect. You can count on the fingers of one hand the pizzerias of Campania at its same level, or higher. Advice to all

wasn;t anything what I thought...it's an outdoor mostly unattractive in presentation when you see it in person...advertising looks much better than in person. We decided to pass the place based on its appearance and location. Decided to wlak over to Spring street which is much better.

Excellent food, better service all in about 400 square feet. Be sure to reserve a spot. Pizza is out of this world. Great wine selection, amazing desert.

This little place was recommended to us, what a gem! Delicious food, pizza was to die for.... fab atmosphere... cosy.... and in the world of the bland boring food the tastiness of this food really stood out!

Great experience. Food was exceptional and service was even better. A true italian experience away from Italy. Server seamlessly switched between Italian and English. Went out of his way to make specific recommendations so I could eat like a true Neapolitan. I will gladly make the drive to visit again!

I called in for fast service of pizza for lunch. The location is like a neighbourhood pizzeria in Naples itself, the décor is simple and basic with the tables packed in around you (as an Englishman I could do without the "hand of God" pictures all around the restaurant - note that is a joke!). I was warmly welcomed, and I almost immediately ordered my pizza Diavola. As with the best pizzerias I had my selection in front of me within five minutes of my order, it was piping hot with the crust crispy and the top surface slightly burnt (small dots) which is a good sign of a hot oven. The pizza itself was delicious if slightly salty in some places (hence the four not five stars) Well worth a stop if you need a quick meal in southern Manhattan

This is a nice little restaurant serving authentic Neapolitan pizza. The pizza has a nice chewy crust blistered by the high heat of their oven, a tasty base of tomato sauce and fior di latte cheese, and plenty of choice for other toppings. Before my pizza I also enjoyed a creamy burrata as a starter. The pizza has been certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), which strictly preserves the heritage of Neapolitan pizza. I have eaten at a handful of other AVPN-certified pizzerias around the world and have never been disappointed. To top it off, the owner is enthusiastic and very welcoming. A delightful experience all around.

The best pizza I ate in NY and perhaps one of the best of my life, real Neapolitan pizza, everything was very nice, friendly staff

What a place! Fantastic pizza which is just melt in the mouth. The tunes are pumping and then cranked up some more with lots of chanting and dance moves from the owner and staff. I SO wish we had one in London ... come on Song E Napule can we have a London branch?? Thank you for a wonderful night on our NYC visit. For anyone reading this deciding if you should eat here - Do it, you won’t be disappointed !!!

I stopped in on a Thursday evening with a reservation, unfortunately I made the reservation for friday. The owner was awesome and found us a table. We had a few drinks a small pizza and a fettuccini dish. Everything was great the pizza was cooked perfectly and the sauce was terrific. The pasta was homemade with meat sauce. I cant say enough good things about this restaurant and staff. I will definitely stop back the next time I'm in NYC.

Visited this small pizzeria with friends. Ordered pizzas and a great dessert. Great food, very cozy and friendly atmosphere, highly recommended!

Great food and ambience! Our server, Adelaide was wonderful. From the pizza, to the pasta, to dessert everything was delicious! Highly recommend!!

Me and my partner ordered capricciosa pizza and a pizza with rucola. Both pizzas were lukewarm, and capricciosa pizza was mushy and the taste was not good at all. The other pizza tasted ok but not close to our expectations based on Tripadvisor. After all this disappointment we were overbilled and since someone paid our (cheaper) check our cards were declined. We took half of the pizzas with us and left them to the homeless guys next to the park. We will not come back...

Wow! This was W. Svällkropparna det hcrazy good! The Margarita!!!! Best one i ever tasted. This is italy in NYC

This is a small restaurant. We went on Wednesday evening about 6:15pm and were seated. We ordered pizzas, margherita and prosciutto. They were excellent. We have eaten true Italian pizzas in Italy and Paris and the quality here is the same. We highly recommend and hope to return.

We chose this place intrigued by the episode of Little Big Italy that declared it the winner for the best pizza and I can confirm that it is true. A pizza like that is not easy to find. Ottima!!! Very nice staff. Fast service. Average prices. Small but lovely place. Thank you for the kind welcome. We have declared it a fixed stop for all the times we will return to this wonderful city.

NEAPOLITAN environment... highly recommended you feel at home... good pizza and friendliness and efficiency of the staff... even the coffee deserves praise (or sann fà)... normal price for NYC. Compliments

Its 4 months later and i'm still thinking about that pepperoni pizza i had, when arriving at Song E Napule i didn't expect much. It was a very small little location that probably had a capacity of around 20 people, when entering the building there was only two people in there, still had no expectations, we were seated immediately and ordered a pizza each, i went for a traditional cheese & tomato pizza and after receiving the pizza i completely forgot where i was, the pizza blew my mind. If you are ever in the area i would highly reccomend you go and try it. The best tomato based pizza i've ever tasted.

we went there with my mom and honestly, we didn’t expect that it would be that perfect. we ordered pizza and pasta so as to compare with Italian food. and guess what - it is worth eating at Song’ E Napule. staff were friendly and nice, atmosphere was wonderful and our dishes were delicious. I do recommend this restaurant.

Went here for my husband's birthday and we had a wonderful time on a Friday evening. We actually missed aother reservation and got this place at the last moment so note that for those last moment special ocassions! Had a wonderful meal of pizza, gnocchi and wine. The eggplant parmigano pizza was perfectly made and tasted better than the pizzas in Naples! The gnocchi was neither overcooked, nor did potatoes dominate the taste palate. The wine went perfectly with the meal. The vibe is quirky with a mix of couples, office colleagues and friends' groups. The servers are super-friendly and service is quick. Overall a 5/5

This is the BEST pizza I have EVER tasted . . . EVER EVER EVER!!! It is simply amazing. The help is kind and the service is fast . . . . The "only" downside is that the place is too small. So, it is best if you come at an "off time," or do take out. Just get the pizza! Don't even worry about trying any other dish, although they could be wonderful, too.

I go here very often for lunch. The pizza is the best. Love the four cheeses. Is tasty and very good. Ciro is the best. Very friendly.

It is a very small place and table are moved around to fit new guests. We had pulpo as a starter and different kind of pizza and gnocci. It was very delicious. The staff was extremely friendly even after having realized that Europeans have sometimes a different way of enjoying dinner. We had the starter and ordered a nice bottle of wine. We asked if possible to wait with the order of the main course. This is what we did. We spent quite some time there and had plenty of fun with all. To close the dinner, we had "Vesuviliu" (most likely misspelled). This was soo good. All in all... We love this place

Italian cuisine in New York. From first courses to dessert. Not to mention pizza. Everything really great! Great! Great! Good guys!

We travel to NYC twice a year for theater, art and pizza. Song e Napule on Houston should be rated at the very top. A very small place with fabulous flavor and presentation.

The pizza is great, and the owner is very friendly. However, the Italian Waiter (not sure what his name is , was way too aggressive. He is more focused on seeking out his tickets and if you don’t order enough food, he will treat you horribly. If you try to take food to go, he will try to convince you to finish your meal (and leave the pizza box) inside of the restaurant. What bothers me the most is when we went to pay for our meal and the Waiter had already chosen a 22% tip for us to pay. This upsets me, because even though the pizza is great, the Waiter does not reflect the sincerity and the kindness of both the owner and the atmosphere that the restaurant wants their customers to walk away with. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

Amazing pizza. The best crust, melts in your mouth. The tomato sauce- so fresh! We had the sausage, mushroom and basil! Enjoyed with a nice glass of wine.

We went there with a friend that lives in NY. We had to wait in the queue for a table as we didn't book one(our mistake). The pizza and the other dishes we ordered were amazing. The prices were normal and the service crazy and funny! Keep up the good work guys!!! Congrats

We were packed in on a Saturday as a group of 6. Felt like we were celebrating with everyone. We had a great time and the pizza and meatballs were very good! Highly recommend for celebrations that make a big deal about it!

After a few days in New York we decided to dedicate a dinner to pizza, to real pizza (as we always do during our travels around the world). The choice, unfortunately, fell on Song' and Napule. As soon as we entered we noticed that none of the employees (not even the pizza chef) were Italian but we thought that this may mean little. After about ten minutes the owner showed up and only said hello and left. But even this perhaps doesn't matter... On the menu I noticed the pizza with sausage and broccoli and I thought that, being an Italian pizzeria and moreover from Naples, it used excellent ingredients. I made the biggest mistake of the holiday. Pizza inedible to say the least. No ingredient worthy of the name. The only thing I can define as decent is the dough. Not even mozzarella can be considered as such (so even a simple margherita would have been unacceptable). And finally the surprise of the bill where the tip is automatically added by 20%. (First time I've seen something like this in dozens of trips abroad). There are many Italian pizzerias in New York, better, much, much better, to go elsewhere.

Great pizza. It was such staying in Naples (Italy). I strongly recommend this place. The service was good.

Excellent food! Excellent service. Very friendly atmosphere. If you want authentic Italian this is the spot! I felt transported to Napoli. I’ll definitely be back. I was there July 2018.

I drove 236 miles to New York City to have a meal At song e napule !!!!! I grew up in Napoli I left it 35 years ago ! Ciro is an amazing person and his food is typical Neapolitan style .He knows really how to make a pizza and cook the real pasta al dente .My trip was worthed and I ll do it again !!!! Once you are in it’s just like you are in the old section of Naples Italy eating at the mom and pap restaurant .The humor the spirits of the neapolitans Plus the delicious meals he cooks make your night memorable .Glad he is here in New York holding the Neapolitan flag !!!!! Ciro sei grande !!!! Roberto

As I was taking pictures and admiring the indoor of the restaurant. My daughters sat down and ordered 2 club sodas. The “ cafone n idiotic waiter” should learn about his demographics before opening his mouth. He told the busboy to bring those 2 idiot girls mineral water instead. Now I knew it was my girls and to prevent a scene I told him to bring mineral water in MY dialect not his! He takes our order , we knew what we wanted , my kid wanted a caprese but he insisted with a bresaola salad. Then he insisted with the sorrento pizza special.Ironically we’re from sorrento n wanted a simple Margherita / Marinara! What upsets me as a former waiter you don’t insist or force a client on what to eat if especially they know what they want. You can SUGGEST but not force. Not a bright cookie. Then he’s at a table with 4 Italians from the North that were extremely annoyed that he wouldn’t shut the F. U.! I asked him for a piece of lemon , a simple piece of lemon, the kitchen is 2 feet away , he forgets ! We were very excited, especially being Napoli fans , seeing a fuorigrotta boy building a business but with a cafone waiter he may lose or already lost after I spread true word to friends! NYC is a multicultural city. You’re not the only one who speaks napoletano even tough you’re from Puglia. Impara a’ campare e vergognarti !

We called in on spec (actually we were so mesmerised by the atmosphere of the place) when looking for something light for lunch. It's a small restaurant so maybe expect a wait to be seated. The place is so busy, the staff are so lively and the food is fantastic. It has a real crazy authentic Italian feel to it. If you're after a quiet meal then it might not be for you but if you love atmosphere then make sure you eat here.

We came here while on a short visit to NY last week. We only waited about 10 mins. for a table. My two kids ordered pizza, while my husband and I ordered pasta. We were brought bread and ricotta cheese with our drinks. Then our delicious calamari/egg plant appetizer arrived. It was seriously ToDieFor. Everything was grilled and not fried. You can taste each delicious bite and we practically devoured it. Then we got our entrees and they didn't disapoint. EVERYTHING tasted fresh, authentic and delicious. We are so happy we visited. Well DONE Song' e Napule., well done! When in SOHO, it's a MUST.

Amazing. Ask them to order/choose for you. DELICIOUS. We felt transported to Italy. Relaxed, affordable, great for family and we highly recommend.

After long day sightseeing we finally arrived here around 1700. Quite surprised to find how very small this restaurant is. However, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful even to the point of directing us to the nearest subway back to our hotel on 34th street. We ordered a half and half because the pizza are very large. It came out very quickly and was the best pizza we'd had in New York. We had tried the chain pizza restaurants and none of them come close to this place! Make an effort and try here, you won't be disappointed!

2 pizzas, 3 spaghetti dishes and 6 bottled beers: $358!!!!!!!!! Pizza $22, beer $33cl $11. I hope this review helps people stay away from this place.

Excellent food. Small but cozy loved it We had nutella pizza. Cal army eggplant arugula salad Pizza Drinks

We found this delightful pizza restaurant near Soho. As soon as we entered,we were welcomed warmly, like family, and our server switched from Italian into English effortless to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The thin-crust, wood fired Napoli-style pizza we ordered was ready in mere minutes and bought, fresh and steaming to our table. It was to die for delicious! Our server told us 12 slices for 3 people wouldn't be enough, but we decided to save room for some very tasty desserts -- tiramisu, canoli and expresso. A memorable meal. Try it, you'll be very happy you did!

As Ciro says when you walk in, “You are now in Naples, outside is NY”. The tables are small and so is the joint. The food is really big on flavor. The place has more native Italians in it than Americans. That is a good sign because Italians are not going to accept anything but really good food. The pizza is excellent, the broccoli rabe, the eggplant parm and the macaronis are all worth the trip and the cramped space. These Neapolitans have brought the best of that city to 143 West Houston Street. Ciro’s name is synonymous with that of the great 4 generation restaurant bearing the same name in Naples, Italy; a mainstay for any northern Italian going south. This little joint’s wonderful cuisine has brought all Italian visitors and savvy Americans to its door. They take and honor reservations.

Just ate at here for first time last week. In New York for the weekend. The food and service was wonderful. Great wine list for reasonable prices. Will be back next time and will recommend to friends.

These guys had a little stall at the Italian festival that was going on in NYC during the early weeks of September and I must be honest it was good pizza, I can’t comment on their restaurant service but if they can impress me at a stall In a street then I’m extremely confident that the sit down pizza here will be Excellent.

Precisely how Italian food should be: delicious antipasti (go for the melanzane), homemade pasta and gorgeous 16” pizza from the wood oven. The nutella pizza to finish you off. The owner is obviously a SSC Napoli tifoso :-)

That's bad. Unfriendly staff. Stunning prices! Experience to.not repeat I understand the costs based on location, but there's a limit to everything!

Make sure you have a reservation since the place is tiny. We were vegetarians and really enjoyed the gnocchi and vegetarian pizza. Servers were extremely friendly and amazing vibe

Where do I begin …… Francesco definitely knows how to greet and ensure client satisfaction. Female waitress , went above and beyond to make me a drink that was not on the menu and she did not disappoint. The food was DELICIOUS. The ambiance felt like I was in Italy. The Italian music was the extra touch that made it a pleasant atmosphere. Very clean , very respectful waiters. Definitely HIGHLY recommend 10++ on everything.

THE BEST PIZZA PLACE OUTSIDE OF NAPOLI. Pizza cooked to perfection, the service is beautifully friendly and so welcoming. Gutted that I didn't have longer in the city to get to go back for another pizza.

we have been several times when we are craving a well made neopplitan style pizza never disappoints servers are always happy to see us

Very nice and authentic restaurant, very friendly real italian service, affordable. Take the « Vesuvio » as a desert if you are very hungry, it is worthly ! Very good pizzas in tho sizes

Great service, perfect welcome, it seems to eat at home. Giggino is friendly and considerate. Great food, obvious top quality products.

We are Neapolitans. Nice and welcoming waiters, but at the time of the criticism they were very FUCKING. We had dumplings and pasta and potatoes. The dumplings were soggy like I don’t know what , and when we told them, they laughed too saying that we had eaten it all in the meantime! (AND I BELIEVE IT , I'M PAYING € 22 THIS PLATE). There are better places that don't run scams like them.

Popped in for a quick pizza and had the most wonderful experience. Great food. Great service. Great fun. So it became our go to place!

We stayed in this place for lunch and it was the best choice, we found ourselves in Naples in an instant, we took a pasta and potatoes with provola and a really delicious Genoese not to mention the eggplant parmesan, we were also honored with a pizza Margherita that to call it excellent would be reductive. In many places in Italy you do not eat so bene.Proprietario and very nice staff, friendly, attentive to customer care. A REAL PIECE OF NAPLES IN NEW YORK

To start I want to say, I’m from Napoli and when I travel for me is very difficult to find a Pizza similar to the Neapolitan one. After 16 days in the USA I was dreaming a Neapolitan Pizza, then a friend told us to go to “Song e’ Napule” in NYC, so we followed the advice. What i want to say is that I felt like I was in Naples, the staff was amazing, amazing like the pizza, the real one; in a lot of places in Italy (also in Naples) pizza is not good as at “Song e Napule”; if you are in NYC and you want to try a real Neapolitan pizza you have to go here; If a day I’ll come back to nyc I’ll come here to feel like home. Great pizza and great place!!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Been to Naples and this restaurant makes you feels as if you’re actually there! It’s a must try whenever you’re on the lower east side…🍷🍕🍝

We couldn’t love this place more. We stop by every time we are in NYC and it never disappoints. Wagner does a great job of making everyone feel at home. I recommend the Daviola pizza 👌🏼

A real "New York" experience...Italian style. Go back to a time in Lower Manhattan when you could walk into a restaurant where everyone was speaking Italian and eating the most ethereal pizza imaginable...not to mention the pasta dishes. Small, cozy, friendly service and a really good buzz. Do it.

The best dinner I had during my stay in NYC. This little and cozy Napoli-style restaurant took me back to the months I spent in Italy and how I fell in love with their cuisine. As a Mediterranean food lover, it gave me such joy to eat in a place that truly kept the essence of original Italian dishes. We ordered bruschetta, pizza capricciosa, pasta con funghi porcini e tartufo and finished with a Tiramisu. For a few minutes, we were teleported to Italy. The staff was friendly, quick and so funny. We ended up ordering a coffee just to enjoy the vibe a bit longer.

Disliked the food and anti-sport atmosphere. They need to be more impartial.Seen a sign outside their restroom against another soccer team from Italy it is of very low sportsmanship.

After eating in many many places in nyc, I can confidently say that Song e Napule is unbeatable when it comes to Italian food and especially Neapolitan pizza and pasta! Even better is when it comes to the vibe of the super cozy/friendly place and the kindness of the owner and the entire staff!!! Highly recommended from someone that grew up in Naples, Italy and is a food lover!!

We got the four cheese pizza and it was prepared PERFECTLY! The service was friendly and fast as well. If you love pizza, you’ll love this place.

Fabulous little dine.. Great service beautiful Italian food in a fun environment Loved it ! Great Italian pizza for vegetarians ... the service out weighed the food so welcoming and friendly and genuinely care loved it .

We’ve been here on a busy Sunday lunch and we had the best time. The floor manager Luca is genuinely amazing, same goes for the waiter and the pizzaioli. We had one margherita, one marinara and 2 peroni beers: speedy service and awesome food. Very warm atmosphere, although it’s small and crowded, you won’t mind it. Highly recommended

This is the best pizza outside of Capri Italy we love it and we love the people here! Do not waste your time going to other places for pizza in NYC or anywhere else.We had the margherita, capricciosa and the porcini and each one rocked. Plus everyone there is super friendly. Go!

Killer pizza right out of their wood oven. Great selection for everyone. Good friendly service. Got there after the lunch rush so got a table(only sits about 16 people) right away.

This place is unassuming from the outside...very tiny but wow can they crank out awesome pizza. The staff are super friendly....has a very homey/ family feel. Ya gotta try it!

I am surprised I didn’t write a review before! I was sure I had done it already. I have some many good things to talk about this spot starting from the vibes felt thanks to the owner Ciro, he is a real Italian from the South and his character is perfect for the location that he created and the food experience he provides to the customers. The quality of the food is always high and all the products are really imported from Italy. I have been knowing the staff for more than a year now and I am a regular customer, I totally suggest them.🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

This was the first restaurant we ate at and the best. Tight quarters and a small dining room, but the service was terrific and the food was incredible.

Amazing pizza! Had the margherita pizza. Flavors explode in your mouth. A definite must when visiting NYC. Place is small and can fill up quickly but definitely worth the wait.

Fantastic food in this little restaurant with cosy interior and genuine friendly staff, right in the hart of soho, NYC. I totally understand why they won the Gambero Rosso award for best pizzeria. Highly recommended.

Finally a good pizza, a good plate of pasta, a good lemon dessert... friendliness and kindness of the service... I felt at home, like being in Naples or Italy but in reality we are in New York!!! for those who want eat well compared to American food, even if the prices are as high as the average here!!! last but not least, the environment and the music take us back to Naples!!! recommended

I understand, if I sit at the table and I have Service, that you ask for my tip. But you have to ask me, you don't make me pay automatically without telling me anything. Unless I'm the one asking. But if I'm going to get you a takeout pizza, that you're going to charge me for the tip anyway without telling me anything, I find that extremely unfair. Smart... to say the least..

This place is proof that in New York you can eat real Neapolitan pizza at absolutely acceptable prices. I can say with absolute certainty that I have eaten far worse pizzas in Naples and its province, so I have to congratulate these guys for their commitment and professionalism. The sausage and broccoli really surprised me in a positive way, for the quality of the ingredients and cooking, a masterpiece!! The plus is the bottle of extra virgin olive oil from the Muraglia mill available at every table, and for those who know that product they know what it means in terms of cost, in addition to its aromaticity which enriches every dish. The coffee is also excellent, a true Neapolitan espresso. I understood why this pizzeria won the episode of little big Italy... Congratulations indeed!!

Enjoyed some very large croquettes and the mixed brucetta before ordering 4 pizzas. The portions were big so we should have ordered less, but all the food was nice and service was very good The restaurant is an informal affair, with the backdrop of Napoli and Maradona

I've been there few times with friends and the food is veeery good. Pizza, pasta, dessert everything is good and the vibe is very Italian (I am from Napoli so trust me :) Definitely go here for some great real Italian food in NY!

I have been looking for a good pizza here in the US. All I found was only decent ones. Here I finally found a good Neapolitan pizza, something I wouldn’t be disappointed if I had in Naples.A bit pricy, but definitely worth the money. But what surprised me the most is the Pastiera. As good as the top ones I had in Naples...amazing! Definitely recommend...

We’re from the NY metro area and now reside in Pennsylvania. Needless to say, we haven’t found the same quality of pizza since relocating. We were in the city and bought 3 margherita pies on our way out- they went in the trunk and were reheated 2 hours later and WOW! We were not disappointed. Next time, we’ll eat them straight out of the oven as they’re meant to be!

We stayed in this pizzeria for dinner, greeted by the waiters very warmly, excellent staff, knowledgeable and helpful Great pizza, and we are Neapolitans, as well as the first of spaghetti with meatballs, also excellent craft beer. The place makes you feel at home 😊
The real pizza in NY
I happened to be in the area while wandering around New York and wanted to try their pizza, being my absolute favorite food. From my experience I can safely say that it is one of the best ever eaten in my life, very light dough, melting and ingredients of the highest quality. At lunch one of the pizzas I bought is $18 (excluding taxes of course), an honest price considering how expensive life is in this metropolis and that now in Italy a pizza costs on average 15 euros but often is not comparable to this. Congratulations, I will always remember it when I think about my trip to NY.
