Have tried many vegan restaurants around the world but Spicy Moon is by far the best. The "Vegetable Wonton In Chili Oil" is a must and so are the Dan Dan Noodles with beyond meed - absolutely delicious, and I almost never eat noodles/ gluten. Scallion Pancakes were also awesome! Other than that we had the Mapo Tofu with rice - which was good but not 100% my vibe. We also had the String Beans, that I personally ate all of and enjoyed - note they are pretty salty (I love salty foods, might not be for everyone tho). Drinks were fun, had the Lychee Martini and the Mule, would recommend both. The staff was extremely nice and helpful! Fun evening and a not so pricey option for great food and service for NYC standards.

We actually went to the Bowery location, 265 Bowery, but they are a chain so I assume they're the same. This is fabulous vegan Chinese food, but also just fabulous Chinese food all around! We had Dan Dan noodles, and spicy peppercorn brussel sprouts to share, and Dry Pot with veggies and tofu, and Kung Pao style with veggies and tofu. I sampled every dish and loved them all. If you're a vegan, you will LOVE this restaurant. If you're not a vegan, you will still love it!

This restaurant is in east 6th street where once only Indian restaurants were. This relatively new vegetarian restaurant is a gem. I have been there already a few times and highly recommend this for vegetarian food which non-vegs will like also. This ia small restaurant seating about 24. They sell beer and some wine. It is like a dim sum restaurant. You check off what you want on a menu by pencil. The menu is small but extremely good. Brussel sprouts, dumplings and mapo tofu is extremely delicious and tasty. I tried almost everything on the menu. The others are good too but to me not of the same standard as the other three. Only thing is here they charge extra for brown rice and for two it is 6.00. I am not sure why brown rice is that much but white rice is completely free. They used to have paper utensils in the beginning but no more. Anyway, the place is highly recommended and I myself have visted quite a few times.

Spicy Moon is a really pink, casual vegan Sichuan restaurant, good for large group hangouts as well as a smaller, more intimate setting such as a date. Reservations are helpful but far from necessary, The menu bounces between traditional Sichuan dishes and plates that can cater to pickier eaters, but the more traditional dishes is where the kitchen really shines. A party of 2 can comfortably order 2-3 dishes for the table, and I would consider dining here again if I was in the area!

Had the veg ramen here. Really excellent, full of flavor, tofu and veggies. No skimping. Only gripe is the price-- wish it wasn't $20 for take-out ramen for lunch. Would be great if there was a $15 lunch menu, possibly with a smaller portion? That said, would come again for a special occasion take-out lunch. Would recommend,

The prices are undoubtedly a little high BUT the food is delicious. There's something about the taste that really gets me craving for it sometimes. I especially love the "cumin flavor" with mixed vegetables. Always very fresh, arrives hot, and super delicious. Pricey but excellent.

One of the best Asian vegan restaurants we've experienced. We shared three dishes. The Dan Dan Noodles with beyond "meat" were exceptional - it's by far the best dish we tried. The other two dishes were good, but beware of the dry pot dish - it's too spicy - and that's coming from someone who really likes very spicy food. I'd go back again in a flash for those Dan Dan Noodles and would be happy to try a few other dishes being careful to avoid the most spicy items on the menu. It's a shame that beer and wine were not available to order.

Ordered food through uber eats to address A. I cancelled it within 1 min and reordered it to address B. 2 orders arrived at address B. When I called them and told them the first order was cancelled and more over it was not even for address B. Even if they didn’t cancel it the order was delivered to the wrong adress. they said sorry, it was a mistake and enjoy the extra order on us for free! But then charged me for both orders!! Inspite of sending the food to the wrong address

Probably one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. The vegetable dumplings were some of my favorite dishes. I feel like the vibe of the restaurant as well as the food is very authentic. I will definitely be coming back to Spicy Moon when I visit New York again.

I have had vegan food and vegetarian food many time during my travels. But this place blew my mind. The food is incredible. I went back 2x more in my 5 day stay. Small place make a reservation and eat everything and take it to go. You will not be sorry!

Excellent quality Asian vegan food. Would highly recommend to any vegan or non vegan. One of the best meals that we had in New York City during our trip.

Got two dishes, the dry pot (veg and tofu) and Brussel sprouts. Both good and tasty, though sprouts were a bit too oily for our taste. That said, would happily return.

The food was delicious but a bit too spicy for us. The portions are big, but it still seems pretty expensive. I would go again, but would request everything to be milder.

Ordered in from Spicy Moon and loved the food so much that we ordered a second time. Dan Dan noodles - something to die go. Dumplings - ooh la la. The mofu tofu was a tad too spicy, couldn’t eat. Loved the food. Worth every cent

Hard to come by Szechuan style food that is also vegan. I got the Dry Pepper Style which was absolutely incredible, so many different fried veggies, my non-vegan gf got a Dan Dan Noodle bowl with Beyond beef which she was astounded how real the beef tasted, and we shared some cold cucumbers in a delicious chili oil sauce. Brown rice option and pretty fast service. If you go during dinner you'll need a reservation if you don't wanna wait. Wear something bright for the blacklights in the entrance!

One of the most delicious vegan meals i’ve ever had!!! My boyfriend and I visited on our recent trip to NYC. I had found this place online and it did not disappoint. We visited the Bowery location. It far exceeded my expectations. the food was so delicious. we ordered a variety of items off the menu and everything so gorgeous. Even my boyfriend who is a meat eater really enjoyed it. Really recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC.

Delicious lunch. Authentic and Amazing flavors. We had MaPo tofu, string beans, sesame noodles. Now one of our top spots to eat when we visit NYC.
Reviewing this until the West Village location I tried is up
Amazing food. Favorites include the Zen Cold Sesame Noodle and Mapo Tofu with Beyond Beef. The Cabbage with Dry Peppers and the Sichuan Shredded Potato were also tasty and made eating veggies fun. Nice environment, food served quickly.
