We wanted to visit a rooftop in NYC, just grab a drink and chill for a bit. We decided to give St Cloud a try. We sat at the bar where our bartender promised the best espresso martini...and he delivered. He had such a great personality and I wish I asked his name. We moved to the roof top and sat on cozy couches and heating lamps (it was about 55 so it was welcome). The server was not as stellar as our bartender but she was efficient if not a little aloof, still did not ruin the experience for us. I would definitely be back next trip.

We visited this roof top bar as we were staying in the hotel. We were given a complimentary drink on our first evening so we went to check it out. It was early evening so still quite quiet and we asked for a table for 4 and the hostess tried to sit us literally in the corner surrounded by walls which was awful. I asked if there was any reason she was putting us in the corner and she said 'no reason' so we asked to go elsewhere on the rooftop. Was it that we had complimentary drinks? Big mistake. We were then ignored and we had to go to the bar to get our drinks. Would have stayed there a lot longer but felt the servers were not very friendly so left. On the next night we decided to give it another try, maybe there would be a change of staff. The hostess offered us a good table which was a start, we ordered a bottle of wine, a bottle of prosecco, mocktails, beers and 3 dishes to eat so we were there for awhile. However to get all of this we had to either go to the bar and ask for drinks or grab another server as our was so so rude! I totally object to the automatic tips when you have servers who literally don't care and are rude. I wish I knew her name because I wouldn't have her working at my hotel. The food was very good so thanks to the chef!

I’ve been living in New York for almost eleven years and this was my first time at the St Cloud Rooftop,but definitely not the last!We had a great time with my friends (perfect place for girls night out)!really enjoyed the ambiance,view and great service!everything was on point.we were planning to have just one round of cocktails, however we ended up staying way over our time limits)))thanks to wonderful bartender Nick-he made our experience pretty remarkable.his smoky margarita-definitely must try!fun and super friendly service,not annoying or pushy.we asked him for some recommendations and just followed his lead-everything was a winner(again smoky margarita)))I’m pretty sure we found our new favorite spot and bartender

I hired a private area for my 50th birthday at the bar and it was exceptional !!! We had a drinks package which suited our needs perfectly although there are different packages to suit . My main point of contact was Thomas who was always quick to reply to emails and was always on hand for any questions . Exactly what you need when organising on different sides of the Atlantic ! On the night Elizabeth looked after our every need , coming round every few minutes to take drinks orders and making sure everything was as it should be . Lovely , friendly girl who deserves all the credit coming her way . All in all a memorable experience and something myself , family and friends will remember for a long time .

Very good nyc experience the bartender Igorce was professional and attending made the drinks just right had a few cocktails and cigars definitely would recommend , will visit again.

Initially we were tunred away from this Rooftop bar as we tried to access at approx 22:30pm and were told it was closing, so we tried again in the daytime the following day. During the daytime the bar was very quiet and we had the whole place virtually to oursleves - even so the drinks took some time to arive to our table. Afetr a quick promt to one of the staf the driks did finaly arrive. Everyhting else however was good If your after a quick pit stop cocktail around the Times Square area, thats a little bit hidden away from the noise and street level then this place is a decent shout! Had drinks with business associates and was very pleased with everything. They make a great old fashioned and the atmosphere and service are both excellent. It was snowing so we stayed indoors but I'll go back to enjoy the outdoor areas on a warmer day.

Was visiting NYC for leisure and decided to check out the St.Cloud’s rooftop bar at the Knickerbocker hotel after the broadway show for drinks and pics with a view. Me and a friend were planning to stay for 1 drink but really enjoyed the music (thumbs up for the DJ playing on 20 Feb 2020) and the barman KP who made the cocktail I asked for (French75), which was not on the menu in a jiffy and it tasted good too! So we had to stay longer and order more cocktails. Really nice and friendly service from KP. Can recommend the rooftop bar at Knickerbocker to others.

We had a wonderful time on the roof until Henri unleashed the rain. Our server Isabel was very helpful and found us a table inside before we were drenched. Great service!

Some friends and I went out to St. Cloud Rooftop on a Saturday night and had a blast with Carlos. He suggested specialty cocktails and we chatted about almost everything. He was knowledgeable and offered many recommendations which were needed since we had a long night ahead of us. Their bites to eat were just enough to send us off to dinner, and the cocktails were a great way to start the night. I would recommend this spot to someone looking for great service and to set the mood for a fun night out. You MUST ask for Carlos

Very beautiful bar with great atmosphere. We had cocktails and snacks which were magnificent and the view from the outdoor terrace is a welcome bonus. Highly recommend.

January rooftops can be chilly, but it was a beautiful warm night. They have individual table heaters and blankets to cuddle under. The views are spectacular. We had a few appetizers—edamame and short rib and lobster roll sliders with drinks. It was a nice nice and we enjoyed conversation and views with friends.

The cocktails were not that great and lacked variety. The heaters were not working and some of the tables wobbled. The service was ‘meh’ and when I handed the check to the waitress, she rolled her eyes while saying thanks in a high-pitched fake voice. ...but the view though.

Well, the view is great indeed. But so is any other view from any Manhattan rooftop, that's a very definition of a rooftop. Also, honestly, The Knickerbocker's modest height of 17 floors (with St. Cloud located on the 17th) doesn't offer the breathtaking vistas as other NYC's rooftop bars do. But let's give the place a credit for its location, for that's the only decent thing about it. 1. The hosting - terrible, we were asked to cramp ourselves into a small table, rubbing elbows with another couple, even though the entire area was almost void of any customers (3:30 PM on a Saturday is not exactly your peak hours). The senseless excuse provided was a hypothetical need for a hypothetical family or a bigger group that would need our corner table. Needless to say no family neither bigger group materialized all the time we stayed at the St. Cloud. 2. Service - indifferent, impersonal, our waiter with a mournful face never inquired how our food and drinks were. 3. Food presentation - arguably the worst ever. Worst charcuterie board, with blocks of generic cheese served uncut, unsliced. The kitchen prep person decided not to bother, probably thinking that a Times Square crowd are not your most discerning diners. 4. Food itself - very poor preparation; the Anato Head-On Shrimp on Skewer ($27) was worse than average. 5. Drinks - the establishment should be ashamed of itself serving the sloppily prepared concoctions priced over $24. Overall the place is obscenely overpriced and overpriced without any justification. The Aviary NYC sells its Bloody Mary for $38 but it is a top tier libation and culinary creation combined. The stuff you get at St. Cloud, well, TGIF's drinks will be less disappointing. Avoid.

High end bar with amazing craft cocktail, friendly bartenders (KB rules), and spectacular views of Times Square. Perfect for after dinner drink, romantic date, or social time with friends.

The rooftop bar above the Knickerbocker hotel is a must-visit! The only thing better than the inimitable skyline views at night was the welcoming service from bartender Ryan. The drinks and conversation were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful night out in New York!

We prebooked an evening table, and had a super view of Time Square below. Yes it is expensive for drinks and food but as a one off made for a good evening. Service not the best in the world but we kind of expected that. Our food was actually very nice, just not a lot of it! And wine is on the pricey side but it was delicious. Recommended as a different experience in this big city.

Coming from Long Island I was really looking forward to havig a great time in NYC. I went to St. Cloud Rooftop for a quick cocktail before dinner but ended up staying most of the night. Thanks to the best server/photographer Carlos!! I subjected him to much photo taking and he was amazing. He sold us on staying to have bites and more cocktails which were divine. Carlos was so attentive and a ball of fun. Thank you Carlos for giving us such a great time we will definitely be coming back to St. Cloud!!

Came here on a cold night with a date and we had an amazing time. I was a little skeptic at the beginning because the place seemed empty but it filled up really quick...while i was enjoying my company, Igorce the bartender made me the best old fashioned I’ve tried in NY. This place is a must!

So after dinner we wanted to have a couple drinks with a rooftop view.. and got more than what we wanted at St. Cloud! Enayet, our bartender.. made excellent drinks, along with the ambiance and music.. made for a great night. We stayed for a lot longer than expected, and it was all thanks to this man and the way he made us feel. Will definitely come back here!

Visited tonight with friends and could not be happier! KP was wonderful and could make any drink imaginable . I have visited numerous times but KP’s bee’s knees drinks will have me back ASAP! Thank you!

Avoid. Service is awful and drinks average. The digital menu they asked me to use didn't work so we ordered 2 drinks and stood at the bar because it was busy and many tables were reserved plus their was a private party so half of the rooftop was closed off. They tried to charge us $1000 dollars for 1 vodka and 1 whiskey. The barman didn't have a clue. The other lady kept muttering under her breath to him, clearly about us and I heard her say she didn't understand our accent. Eventually they called for the manager who said they wouldn't close the bill out on the till so we wouldn't be charged. But the transaction was showing on my credit card statement and I was receiving notifications from the bank so was still very worrying as we only had his word for it. Luckily when we got home a few days later and after speaking to the bank the situation was resolved. The views weren't that great either. Much better rooftop bars around

Managed to come to St. Cloud to get a drink on a work trip to NYC while the summer weather was still nice. Experience was great - thank you to Ryan who provided excellent service, laughs, and delicious cocktails. Made a work trip into a pleasant vacation!

Drinks, including wine, are nice, but very expensive. Food is average. limited seating due to all the so-called "reserved tables" (that seemed to remain empty most of the time). I noticed that if you just toss aside the reserved sign, as the hostess did, it made no difference. Not sure why they bother. Should just be first come, first served. I wouldn't bother w/ the expense and low food quality unless staying at the hotel and need a bit of air

Second time in St.Cloud and we had again an amazing time. If you need a reason to understand why people love the NYC nightlife come to St.Cloud. It has it all: the most delicious cocktails, excellent service, good music and very professional stuff. This time our bar attendant was Nick, he was so kind in serving us. We had an amazing chat with him, we felt VERY SPECIAL when Nick told us a little bit about the hotel and its history, when he gave us an excellent recommendations in drinks and when he made us some signature cocktails. We were amazingly surprised in his knowledge of excellent wine from around the world and we were very pleased to know that we share the same taste in good red. Definitely coming back after work with my hubby again or on the weekend with friends, just to have this experience again and to enjoy the view of the surrounding skylines. We are pretty sure, that this beautiful bar soon will take its well-deserved place in the list of the best rooftop bars in NY.

I was really impressed with this place. It had a really nice vibe and the service was amazing.This bartender named Georgi was a highlight -- I didn't know what I wanted to drink so he made me something custom based on tequila (which I told him I liked). I forgot the name, but it was a pink drink with egg whites and was AMAZING. Even though the drinks are really pricey, I think it was worth it for the quality of the drinks and it wasn't too crowded. Just right. Also the view is pretty good, so I'll probably be coming back at some point.

Nice place in the Knickerbocker Hotel. No meaningful beer selection and the mixed drinks are watered down. The service is good and the food came out quickly.

Thank you Carlos for your great conversation and attentiveness. I had no idea about St. Cloud until a fellow coworker recommended this hidden gem amongst all the touristy places in Times Square. The atmosphere was professional and modern, the rooftop is gorgeous with amazing views, and Carlos service topped it off! He sold me on their New Years party being the best place to party and I don’t doubt him. The location of the ball is in plain view! I will be returning for the New Year! Thanks Carlos.

This is such a great little place. I love the choice between indoor and outdoor. The food was awesome, delicious cocktails, and the cigar section was a nice touch. I decided to take a few of my clients here and boy were they impressed! I love finding new restaurants and lounges to take my employees and clients because I want them to enjoy themselves but what really sold me was our waiter. I believe his name was Carlos. Young fellow but he was so professional and just kept the drinks coming. No issues whatsoever! He helped us choose some food options as well and he hit the nail on the head. I was very pleased for being able to take care of my folks. Carlos was all about customer service and without that there’s no point in going back, no matter how delightful food or anything else is. I WILL BE returning with some more clients and I can only hope Carlos is working so he can help me impress. Thank you, St. Cloud!

Friends trip to NYC late night gab session. Perfect weather for the patio. Drinks were good the service was stellar. From the moment we stepped off elevator we were treated like regulars. The host even sat us quickly inside and when a table outside opened escorted us to it without us asking.

Great place at the top of the Knickerbocker hotel for relaxing in the open air or not after a long day in NYC. The staff are friendly and polite. If your a smoker then there is an area to smoke in, this is rare in NYC.

We went there for a drink and I found the place expensive with average service. The food is very greasy and very spicy. The view is not extraordinary either. In short, a mixed Impression

Kp, was an amazing bartender!!!!! Very knowledgeable. Very welcoming and friendly! Signature drinks were amazing. Have to try the “Lily blue” drink. Will be a must go next time I visit NYC!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Knickerbocker hotel over New Year and visited the Rooftop bar St Cloud on many occasions, including NYE - WOW what an amazing experience!!! The staff were all wonderful and extremely kind/helpful, they really made the experience special. KP the bartender was great he really added to the atmosphere of the place and made awesome cocktails, the lady on the door of St Cloud was great fun and very kind. We will definitely be back - A huge thank you to all the staff you were wonderful! Olivia and Owen

I came in this place for drinking a cocktails but staff doesn’t know the rules. At first the girl said the smoking aerea was at the end of the terrace but there was a private party there so a ny sugar mama tells us to got outside her private event. You can find here every stupid behavior of tipical wannabe average american, i don’t recommend.

Ann ( hope I got her name right) took care of is all night. From wine suggestions to to whiskey and tequila.. her suggestions were interesting and informative. She was friendly and helpful with restaurant and bar recommendations ln the city . The bar is elegant and comfortable..the music was nice and not too loud. It was a perfect evening out for us

I've heard about this rooftop and was looking forward to checking it out with my girls. As New Yorkers we arent phased by the tourist activities but this is a spot even a New Yorker would love! Not only did we get to enjoy our company and drinks with a view, but we also received spectacular service from Carlos. He kept our glasses full and recommended a perfect food pairing to go with it! We are collectively hoping to go back on a day he will be working! 🙌🏼

Top place to have a drink and a few snacks outside. Our first drink was even on the house because we were staying at the hotel (Knickerbocker).

The location and atmosphere were great! Views were spectacular and service was top notch. I would highly recommend this roof top bar to all visiting the Big Apple. We visited 3 other roof top bars in the area and none compared to this one.

A rooftop without cachet above a noisy street. No view of Times Square. Little room outside so to have a drink or lunch in, really no interest

First time here and my wife had an amazing time. The bartenders Anastasia and Igor took great care of us! Amazing service and conversation. Both of them were very informative and knowledgeable of menu and recommendations. Anastasia’s cocktails were on point and tasted amazing. The views are incredible and the atmosphere is perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be returning for another great cocktail or 10 haha!!!

We enjoyed our times at St. Cloud over the weekend. The service and food were great. The views are amazing, especially once the sun goes down. Made for some really great photos.

We are regular customers at St. Cloud . Found out about the spot accidentally . But spent a lot of summer nights on the roof . Place is amazing , has the best view of the city . Cocktails are delicious and food is descent . Our favorite spot for the summer time is smoking lounge , where we can drink , eat and smoke and still enjoy the view . For the winter time we like the space with big mirror and the city view . Customer service is one of the best I’ve ever experienced , hostesses and managers are always welcoming , our favorite server is Lily . We always ask for her , she is super friendly , explains the menu and gives the best suggestions of the drinks . Look forward for our next visit ! Highly recommend this rooftop to the locals and tourists .

I already have been to this place and i love it! I came back to see georgi the best bartender that makes the best drinks! You dont even have to tell him what you want, just tell him what kind of alchohol you want and you have the best cocktail! Its a must! Whoever comes here look for GEORGI! The center of new york! Went to the bar after a Broadway play. Great views of Time Square. It was busy around 11:00 on a Saturday night. We had 8 of us and no place to sit. The hostess "Lisa", found out that we were there to celebrate the end of chemo for our 31 year old son. She immediately offered us the use of a private "Pod" area that normally rents for $1000 a night. It was fabulous! The wait staff was very attentive and one of the bartenders "KP" knew just how to make our night. We stayed until around 1:00 and everyone was so nice. Definitely will be back. This would be a great place to enjoy New Years Eve and watch the ball drop!

On one of the coldest nights of the year, 3 friends and I came here for drinks and loved the plush blankets and heat lamps outside. Even though we were the only crazy ones out there, the view was spectacular!

We were here for a few hours with extended family and really enjoyed our time relaxing at one of the corner sofa table units. The service was friendly and sufficiently attentive. Great way to spend an early evening.

We've stumbled on this rooftop during our fist evening in NYC and it was just amazing. The ambience and vibe that we've felt will always remember us about this trip!

Staff was 1/5 view was 5/5 service was 0/10. We came before they closed and were treated like we walked in 10 minutes after closing. Unfortunate

I made reservations here for drinks after a show, and the evening ended up being rainy, so we had to sit outside. And from inside, there really is no special view. So it just ended up being expensive drinks at a hotel bar. If you can go there on a nice evening, I would suggest going after dark so that the lights make for a better view. But it's pretty pricey, and I don't feel the need to go back even if the weather is lovely. I have found some better rooftops.

NYC views and excellent service. Carlos was my help for the evening and he suggested a great cigar for me...putting aside that they were low on cigars and much of what was on the menu was not in house...he managed to sell me a cigar to my liking. i was more than satisfied with his efforts to meet my needs. I'll be returning for a friendly face, a good smoke, and a nice view of the city.

First time visit recently on a business trip. Would have been fun to sit outside but they allow cigar smoking and it was just too much. Fun location and nice respite in a very busy area of Manhattan.

We had drinks at this lounge and the staff was incredible. The hostess and manager were both very accommodating to seat us right away. The view is incredible, try to be there on a night with no fog or rain if you can.

My wife and I stay at the Knick frequently and love it, and St. Cloud is perfect for a drink or dinner any time of year. Right now it’s summer, so of course you can enjoy the view outside, but even in the winter or colder weather it’s still a great time. Drinks and food are excellent, and service is lovely, just as you would expect the Knick. Last winter they did Apres Ski, where they turned the fireplace room into a sort of ski lodge and did raclette, which was perfect for a few drinks on a cold winter night. Sometimes we’ve gone up fir a few drinks and ended up staying fir dinner because the atmosphere is so enjoyable. Music is also always good.

Mahmooda was great. She went above and beyond and made us feel so good. Definitely coming back. You guys rock

Terrible, rude service and management. First, even though there were hardly any patrons in the bar, our orders weren't taken for over 30 minutes. Then, as we were finishing our first round of drinks, the host comes announces last call. We order another round, and the host says she's can't take the order (which just take them at this point). The server then comes by takes our order. And within 5 minutes of ordering, the manager comes to tell us the bar is closing and we have to leave soon. WHY would this bar prompt us to order for last call, then within 5 minutes ask us to leave? At least have the courtesy to let us peacefully finish our drinks. We mentioned this concern to the manager, and he said he would give us the time. However, the manager most certainly did not. We were asked to leave within minutes. Finally, as we were heading out there was another group being escorted out. The other group got into the elevator, and the manager said to us, "the elevator's open, get in," quite rudely. I wish I could give this bar 0 stars.

St. Cloud is gradually re-opening, and we got to go here once. The view and the setting is still beautiful. The waitress was nicely attentive. There was a bevy of other guys who came around to clear dishes at lightning speed which made us feel like they wanted us to leave. The charcuterie board was good, tho we saw other tables getting theirs with items that we didn't get. Nice, relaxing full-service bar.

The St Cloud Rooftop was very cozy and the atmosphere was cheerful. I sat outside and the views were amazing. It was cold but heaters and blanket throws were helpful to keep warm. The staff were very friendly and fast.

Visited here as a couple on a wed evening 9pm. Was seated by heaters outside (where else to enjoy views). Waitress disappeared with my card 'to open a tab' and was rude when i went to retrieve. One of our party wanted a cigar and was charged $15 for "cutting" service. This involved being handed a set of plastic cutters to cut by self which was swifty removed "for other customers" eventhough the bar inside and out was entirely empty. Outrageous. If going to charge a cutting service then at least cut the cigar for the Patron. Cocktails was good but followed a swift exit, never to return on principle. Tip: save your money and time and go elsewhere. Far better views and atmosphere to be had in neighbouring establishments.

Had a great evening last night with some work colleagues last night. Juanita took great care of us! The service was prompt, cocktails were great and food was amazing. Really enjoyed our time there and will be back soon!

Last week my girls and I met up for a Galentine celebration to this great rooftop. What made this experience so amazing was the service. Our server Carlos was absolutely amazing. He was so attentive and welcoming. Our glasses were always full and we had a blast! Thank you, Carlos, for such a great time. We'll have to come to visit again.

My friend and I told the bartender the type of tastes we enjoyed in a drink and he whipped up the perfect drinks tailored to us. This one is called “Margarita 2.0” the bartender (KP) has a broad knowledge of exactly what to mix to create the perfect blend. This drink was super refreshing for the summer with a spicy kick.

This was my first time exploring Times Square since the pandemic and i just so happen to check out St. Cloud rooftop. I hadn’t had a drink in a while but my server Gania was so lovely to recommend a cocktail to me and it was amazing. Thank you Gania for being so wonderful. I hope to see you again next time I’m in the city.

Want to thank you Carlos, again for a wonderful evening. It's refreshing to be able and enjoy an evening with impeccable service, which you always provide superbly. Hands down, you are "Creme De La Creme"! My wife doesn't like to go out and she is as difficult as they get, and you truly helped me to make it special for her tonight! I cannot thank you enough! Stumbled upon this restaurant while roaming around Times Square. An amazing find in the middle of everything above the noise of the traffic below. Our waitress Lilly was so friendly and attentive and made some amazing recommendations for us. Will definitely be my must see every time I come back to NY

We took the elevator to the top of the Knickerbocker Hotel to enjoy a rooftop drink overlooking Times Square. We were told that if we went outdoors (who wouldn't for the view) that there was not waiter/waitress service, we would have to order our food/drinks from the bartender and belly up to the bar because there are no stools at the bar. I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I asked her to repeat it. Sure enough, I heard right.There were patio couches roped off with "reserved" noted on them. There was no one at the outdoor bar on a Sunday night when we were there. I asked politely: "What about those seats?" She sheepishly answered, "Well OK". As I don't drink alcohol, I asked my husband to order an ice tea for me. He was told that he would have to take the elevator down to the first floor and get the ice tea there and bring it back up to me!!!! We ordered sliders (only 2 per plate instead of the customary 3) and shrimp springs rolls that were rolled so loosely that they collapsed in my lap after the first bite. What could have been a golden moment at an epic location turned into a very disappointing experience. Never again.

We went there with my boyfriend on Sunday evening, it was a rainy day but we enjoyed the drinks and the food. We had some wine and we also tried few of their special cocktails, I have to say our bartender Igor made them with perfection. We got the flatbread and the platter, very tasty! Definitely we go back soon on a sunny day to enjoy the view🥂

If you are visiting Times Square and want to go to a rooftop bar that has great views, is chic, is staffed by friendly and attentive servers, has a dj, and makes you feel like you are at “the place” to have a cocktail and an appetizer, then St. Cloud Rooftop has everything you want. It is located atop Knickerbocker Hotel (and my visit to their bar makes me want to stay at their hotel). Is it pricey? Sure - but worth it, I thought, for what it offers. No regrets!

ne of the best lounge and rooftop bar in nyc.Awesome service and great atmosphere. Chef Pablo did wonderful job on Short rib beef sliders and waguy beef sliders. Food was delicious. Our server Ashfak was really nice and provided us with excellent service.The view was great from the garden area. You can literally see half of the city. I am definitely going there again. highly recomended.

Started solo but met a bunch of cool people. Vibe is good, music is good. Service & drinks suck. Stood at the bar for 19 minutes & bar tender refused to serve us, told us to go sit then had to wait more. Waiter did not know the menu, at all. First round of drinks were weak, 2nd were really strong. I asked for whiskey coke only to find out it was Pepsi, which I don’t like (usually places say “is Pepsi ok”). Love the atmosphere but man the drinks were bad & they were typical nyc expensive.

Went for dinner 2 nights in a row! Beautiful outdoor rooftop space with great views and a totally upscale, chic vibe. The drinks are pricey but really good and the food is very tasty too. They don’t serve full meals, more of a small plates concept with shareable appetizers. It’s really worth checking out this rooftop gem!

Visited this lovely Rooftop with a couple of friends a few weeks ago. Such a little gem in the middle of crazy Times Square. We enjoyed nice ambiance of the the rooftop. We have had a few cocktails made by a bartender- Nick. Even though it was a busy evening, Nick took his time and gave us a few recommendations regarding cocktails. He went above and beyond, since my friend was indecisive. Nick is a master of his craft, those cocktails that he made were indeed really tasty. Besides, he was very friendly and talkative. Overall we had a great experience visiting the rooftop. I would definitely come back to the place and get those fancy cocktails :)

We were a group of five, staying in the Knickerbocker Hotel. Our first visit was very pleasant -- good food and drinks (although pricy, especially when you convert the $24 cocktail into Cdn$ ). Our server was very pleasant and prompt with our order. The patio overlooks Times Square and was a beautiful spot to relax and have a cocktail and some shared plates. A couple of days later, we went back and sat waiting for one of the servers to come by. When one finally did, we asked to place an order and he told us "You have to order at the bar". He was doing absolutely nothing but wandering back and forth across the patio on a very slow Sunday evening. Why would he have left us sitting all that time if he wasn't going to take our order? Less than 1 minute later, another server walked past and asked if we wanted to order?! When he saw we were confused, he told us that they will take your first order, then you are on your own. Wierd! But still worth the visit if you don't mind the prices.

Delicious cocktails and great staff. We were staying at the hotel so it was the perfect spot for an after dinner night cap.

Jonathan (bartender) was superb! He was friendly and really helpful. He even suggested breakfast and dinner spots. You must visit the outdoor terrace and sit under the warming lamps while looking directly into Times Square!

Gorgeous rooftop bar, with a great atmosphere and excellent service. We went after the theatre and were really well looked after by Lisa, the really helpful concierge. Lovely food (the lobster mac 'n cheese was superb), excellent view and a real treat. I don't drink and they made me my very own special 'mocktail' which was delicious. New York at it's finest and well worth a visit. The only downside were the toilets which looked like someone had vandalised them! No locks, one of them didn't have a toilet seat and toilet paper strewn everywhere. Was really surprised as everywhere else was immaculate!

Dropped in for a drink which was very special. View over Times Square is sensational but the outdoor heating was certainly lacking. Drinks were expensive but it is NYC. Waiter took credit card to run an account and despite stating they would not charge the card (I advised I was paying cash), they did and I am still sorting out the issue nearly a month later - this left a bad taste after what was a good venue.

Our bartender KP was the best!! My girlfriends and I celebrated a birthday and he was just amazing!! We would come back just fir his service and kind attends

The Views: This rooftop is incredible. The fact that this chic lounge / outdoor "urban jungle" is in the middle of times square is unbelievable. One minute you're inside a dim lit lounge and then next you're outside at an oasis looking over the hustle and bustle of the city. The Drinks: Top-Notch & Delicious. Even the simplest cocktails were enhanced by the bartenders and their craftsmanship. The Service: Everyone was polite, welcoming, and seemed to truly enjoy working there. I do need to give a HUGE shout-out to Gio and Georgi for really making our night. The conversation and dedication to curating the most delicious drinks was astronomical. Georgi (otherwise known as the DAVID BLAINE OF BARTENDING) even made us his famous espresso martini... and let me tell you that it did not disappoint! I would fully recommend any guest visiting the city to check this place out - YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Husband and I went here to grab a drink. Stunning views but expensive and service was terrible. We were brought to our seats minutes later was questioned about sitting at that table and whether or not we had been seated. A group of six arrived shortly after us. waitress assisted them and walked away. About 10 minutes later she finally came back and asked us if we wanted a drink. She seemed very annoyed 10 minutes later we received our drink. We decided due to lack of service being there for 50 minutes seeing our waitress 2 we were going to leave. It took us 10-15 minutes for waitress to come back and get us our check. Will not be returning

Great cocktails here! KP, who was my bartender for the night was excellent and had an expansive knowledge of cocktails. He offered to custom craft cocktails (not on the menu) based on what we were in the mood for. He made a great warm and spicy whisky based cocktail that had a chocolate aroma and also a raspberry gin based cocktail that was light and refreshing. Would highly recommend him as your bartender.

My friends and I were in town visiting from Michigan and had a nice evening at St. Cloud. Great view! Katie was our server and she was lovely, kind, welcoming and very attentive. She Gave great recommendations! The mango pudding was to die for and we loved the peppers. However, Some of the other girls I felt were cold and unfriendly...I asked for a water from another waitress and she just went to gossip to her other coworkers... there so was no sense of urgency for her to get my water but that’s alright. Also we asked for our food to go from a busser I believe and it took way to long.....Other than we had a great time! Will be coming back Katie and when it gets warmer!

Awful you would get better service in McDonald’s. Wet seats and no way to dry them but they are part of a hotel? Would not recommend to anyone what a shame.

I went to this rooftop on the evening of September 16, which was my birthday, and my experience was top-notch and outstanding!!! From the time I walked in and met Lydia to when I sat down and had the pleasure of being served by Victoria and Yose, my night was beautiful and unforgettable!!! These employees made my friend and me feel so special and attended to us with the most excellent care and attention. Honestly, they were simply the best, and also, the small plates and the views were exceptional!!! I frequent restaurants and rooftops often, and this experience was one of my top ones. Thank you all for making my birthday experience stand out. I will undoubtedly return and look forward to creating more beautiful memories!!!

Superb rooftop with a breathtaking view of Times Square. So cocktails are expensive yes, but like everywhere in New York and even more so on rooftops. The Aperol Spritz is $20. So yes it’s expensive but the experience is worth it. We didn't have a reservation. It is better to have a decent outfit. Space reserved for smokers, which is rare in NY.

Enjoyed cocktails on a gorgeous summer evening. Almost forgot we were around the corner from Times Square! Beautiful set up with comfy seating, lots of plants and outdoor lighting. Nice cocktail selection and pleasant service. Cocktail prices commensurate with location and views. Enjoy.

I Love this rooftop so much, it is one of my favorites, Carolina was our server and she was such a pleasure, super attentive and made the whole experience amazing.

This is not the first time I have entered a city rooftop bar and nor do I have an issue with paying $25 a cocktail. However, we were made to feel like we were not worthy of entering this establishment. My party of 3 were initially greeted well at the Hotel and invited up but the minute the elevator door opened on the top floor, we were treated like peasants. I would like to point out that all of us were smartly dressed. I asked for a table and was snapped at " WE will come to you when WE are ready" The place was empty. We got directed to a small table in the corner, inside. When I asked to sit outside, I was informed that I would have to wait as they are really busy. Ok I said, as I wanted the rooftop experience. I looked around and it was quiet. 10 minutes later, we were directed to a table outside that we were expected to squeeze onto and share with another party. The place was dead, there were empty tables everywhere! When I asked to sit at a different table, I was told I could sit there if I wanted but the heater doesn't work. IT DID. Waitress barked at us for our drinks order, huffing and puffing impatiently whilst my husband decided on which cocktail he wanted. It came, we drank it and had the cheque thrown at us. Such a poor poor experience.Everything was an issue for them and an eyeroll. It was my birthday trip to NYC and a real special occasion. I do not know what their problem was and I would not say this is the most exclusive bar either. Quite average. It made me feel like absolute cr*p all day.

On Friday night I was entertaining few clients on the roof at St Clouds. As the night came to an end and I asked for the bill for my party, I am approached at our table by the GM of St.Cloud, Mr Mino Habib. He stands over us and announces very loudly to the entire party that the drinks vouchers I am presenting are not valid because they are not stamped, and therefore not accepted. (NB nowhere on the voucher does it state that it needs a stamp or validation in order to be accepted. It also does not state there is a limit on how many can be used at time of visit). He proceeds to interrogate me on how I came to have these vouchers. These vouchers were legitimately given to me by hotel staff; these were not purchased, as he rudely suggested (I still can't get this obscene comment out of my head), I am entitled to use them. Much to my dismay, we were greeted by security who was obviously called to escort our party out should things get out of hand. Did Mr Mino Habib think we would run out without paying the bill? I had already given him my credit card so he could run it; I was done taking his misogynist behavior. Mr Mino Habib's crass, aggressive approach is not what I expect from someone who is supposed to provide attentive and professional customer service in such a high end establishment. Even if he did have a question or concern, I would have excepted a more discreet and tactful approach. Instead, we were treated like criminals. Mr Mino Habib should be ashamed of himself.

This rooftop lounge is beautiful! Great for a night out. Not to mention you can get the perfect picture with city view. Service was fantastic my server Katie was very knowledgeable and recommended a delicious drink. Will definitely be returning. Must see if you are in NYC.

Went to the St Cloud lounge at the Knickerbocker hotel for a quick drink. Liked it so much stayed a while! Great local gins, tried one or two my favourite was Brooklyn. We had the charcuterie board, but really would have preferred bread to the crackers, however meat selection and quantity excellent. Our waiter said only order one. He was right. Both the Prosseco and Malbec by the glass is very good . A very lively and busy lounge. Was cold so we didn’t use the roof area, but some brave souls were using it, under heaters and blankets!

Great view, great drinks, great food, great staff and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend. 100% will come back. :)

I hosted a weekday after-work team outing in the Waterford Lounge at the St. Cloud. Booking the space with Jazmin was quick and seamless -- I couldn't have asked for a better event planning experience. The minimum spend to reserve the space is more than reasonable for the area and the service is absolutely incredible. The Waterford Lounge was the PERFECT size and setting for about 20+ people and is so beautifully appointed. I am so grateful to Lisa (F&B manager) for making sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and checked in with me throughout the evening. Her warm personality and demeanor made me feel like we were family; and I knew that if I needed anything during our event, I could depend on her to make it happen. Our server Victoria handled the group so well – she was poised, kind, and left a lasting impression on the team! We were impressed that she remembered what drink each person had when they went to her to order more! The bussers Ashfak and Johir made sure the plates were replaced and cleared in a timely manner; we didn’t have to think twice about the food at all. They made sure the space was maintained and always clean. It was such a wonderful evening thanks to the great staff that were dedicated to our private event. I look forward to hosting more events there in the future!!

I was greeted by Erik in concierge, I told him I was early for my 5pm dinner reservations, and so he recommended we join the rooftop. At the rooftop, we had amazing service, Johir was very kind and thoughtful. When we arrived at Charlie Palmer we were greeted by Jeannine she was just lovely, and escorted us to our table. The food was delicious, I had the fried chicken as an appetizer and the filet mignon, followed with the creme brûlée. Tuku the food and beverage manager also came by our table, he gave us a little history behind the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this for a great date night, and the rooftop is absolutely beautiful.

Cocktails at a roof top bar in New York seems the ideal way to end an evening. St Cloud was a lovely location at the top of a beautiful old building. The cocktails we tried were fairly ordinary in look and taste but $24 + tax each, and the music was too loud and poppy which seemed inappropriate for the chic location. We are glad to have tried it but this has been our most disappointing NY experience so far.

I visit here every time in NYC for work or for a personal trip. This is one of my go to place. I was there on Christmas and our bartender Kevin was amazing. I'm a whiskey guy but rather new to the whiskey world so Kevin gave me a rundown on all the whiskeys and recommended couple awesome ones. Very smart guy. This is a must go place and look for Kevin if you ever get a chance. Also try the eggnog shot that Kevin makes. Highly recommend.

Friendly rooftop that certainly does not offer the most beautiful views of Lanhattan, we are however on a window of view of the floor of Times Square. Friendly staff, map also, attention New York rooftop rates...

Visited the rooftop bar at the top of The Knickerbocker after a Broadway play. We got seated fairly quickly. Got our drink orders taken and delivered in a reasonable amount of time though they seemed short handed for a Saturday night. Ordered what was supposed to be a warm chocolate dessert which was delivered cold. We did eat some of it but ultimately it was taken off our bill. It was a chilly February night but before leaving, we did go out and walk around to look at the wonderful view. They have heaters and blankets for those hearty souls who choose to be out in that weather. I would definitely visit again for a drink with friends, not sure about ordering food though.

I came by for the first time with friends and Victoria was so AMAZING! She was the friendliest person ever and made our visit truly the best. As well as Georgie who was such a fun bartender, made us the best drinks. Can not wait to come back here, very happy with my visit!!!

Booked it to enjoy a family rooftop escape with friends; unfortunately heavy rain prohibited spending the evening outside, hence we were relocated inside; service was very poor, with long waiting; also drinks and food were not served together; all in all not what we had expected; last would like to report lack of flexibility with respect to booking/arrival time, considering that the evening we booked NY was hit by a rainstorm and there was a chance we were some 10’ late on 15’ late allowance. All in all, not a good deal/value for money.

We went for a drink around 10pm. Had to wait a short time in line outside to get in. Escorted into the elevator and up to the bar. Inside was gorgeous, but loud and crowded. Outside had a bar and seating, but it was mostly roped off and "reserved". We could not enjoy the view from so far away. Disappointing. Mostly for the 20-somethings.

We enjoyed a cocktail at St Cloud when we stayed at the Knickerbocker. It's a lively place with a great rooftop bar area. It was a bit too chilly for us to sit outside, but we did walk around and admire the view. They have it set up beautifully.

My boyfriend and I heard about the St. Cloud and decided to check it out while out in the city. The music once we first arrived was amazing the staff greeted us making us feel welcomed. We had Ric as our bartender who was amazing , super knowledgeable about drinks and gave us perfect suggestions for our personal taste. Definitely a great place to have a good time.

I was hosting a client's cocktail reception on the rooftop with an outdoor and indoor space. Lisa Bullock, the Food & Beverage Manager was absolutely wonderful. We had everything set-up to enjoy the beautiful view and October New York weather when it just starts pouring and Lisa was their with her staff moving tables and rearranging everything to now host our event indoors. She was so helpful and always there making sure not only that the guests were happy but that I was doing fine as well (as a host, that does not happen often). When the rain stopped, her staff had our outdoor setup ready in the blink of an eye, it was great. We had our server, Carolina who was just so sweet and so attentive. Really on top of her game. She provided great customer service to our guests and was also always making sure I didn't need anything. Overall it was a great experience!

Went back last Friday it was a must! Carlos is the best we had to go back! And we will go back again!!! He’s GREAT! See you SOON....

Met a client here for drinks and despite the terrible weather and being forced to stay inside the bar was magnificent. Cocktails were great, bartender was delightful and I'd go back there again in a heartbeat. Perfect spot to meet in Times Square! Next time I hope to try the food! Well done!

After my Sunday matinee show ‘Slave Play’. I needed a quick rooftop getaway. I found the St Cloud rooftop and was greeted by Ryan the bartender just as I came off of the elevator. The wine list is nice and Ryan helped me pick a beautiful white (Sancere?). Ryan was very attentive and professional. I will definitely be back to this Rooftop Bar! A pleasant surprise in a city where Rooftop bars can be uppity and the staff not so personable. Definitely worth a visit. (Especially if you come across Ryan)

great roof top, can't be closer and farther in the same time from the busy Time square....amazing place for tourists and locals. As you must know, this is always busy but the service is quite fast and plate to share are tasty.

Great vibe and view up here in St Clouds; choose your drinks from an extensive list, relatively small range of snacks but they are generously proportioned and nicely done. Prices compare with most capital cities. Staff were very polite and welcoming. Small and intimate area, smart and classy. Popular place for pre-booked groups, private parties and events, so be prepared to be turned away, as there is not always a free seat.

In December I visited the St. Cloud Rooftop at the Knickerbocker with my daughter, 7, and we were welcomed with open arms. There are a few non-alcoholic craft drinks available, so she could enjoy a “cocktail” with daddy and it was a blast. I spoke with the lounge manager, Juanita, and was asking about letting my daughter and I share a dance the following day. She was happy to oblige, but she also simply asked, “Why not tonight?” My daughter and I had never been able to dance upright because I was quite overweight and unable to stand for long periods. I had gastric sleeve surgery in October, 2018, and was finally able to fulfill my dream of dancing with my daughter. We have a song, ESTOY ENAMORADO (Thalia and Pedro Capo). The deejay downloaded the song and the dance floor was ours. I cried an ocean of joyful tears and we danced our song. I am not sure there was a dry eye in the house. The staff and patrons were all moved, as we were. It was a moment that we both treasure forever. My daughter still talks about that night and the “nice lady” who let us dance. Juanita and her team went out of their way to make sure our night was amazing. Thank you so much to Juanita and her staff for making my daughter’s first trip to New York City a very special occasion for us both.

Staying here in the hotel was amazing. Then, I had Ryan the bartender. He is an asset to your staff. As a lone woman on a business trip, he made me feel very comfortable and gave me his time to discuss wines I might want to try due to my tastes. He was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I highly recommend this place and that you ask for Ryan to serve you, as he had both the knowledge and skill to understand my tastes of wine. He's amazing. Definitely ask for Ryan when you visit this place! And try the new spiced cake with red wine.

Having read some good reviews about this place we decided to visit it on the Labour day weekend. Located very close to Time Square it is on the roof top of Hotel Knickerbocker. They have a huge indoor bar and a outdoor bar. We choose the outdoor bar to enjoy a summer afternoon and were looking forward to the views. The staff right from the hostess who received and seated us to the server were all very sweet and courteous and specially nice to the kids ( yes they permit children at least in the late afternoon when we visited) The open area was very green which made it refreshing. But there were two downsides to the place. One we were looking forward to the aerial views of the Time Square but thanks to the high walls you really can't see the Square. All you can see are some high rises with H and M looming large. Am sure the view after sunset were more amazing. Second were the prices of the cocktails. At $24 a drink it was on the higher side indeed and Manhattan has many rooftop bars with better views and more moderate prices. Most of the visitors, I found were tourists who came up for the view , had a drink and scoffed off.

First of all, I made a trip advisor account to rate some of the best service in NYC. I have been to many NYC rooftops and none could compare to the service provided by Carlos at St. Cloud. I would also like to mention the very friendly host Carolina who greeted my friends and I on cue and then seated us in a very cozy section by a fireplace. The drinks were spot on and I will be coming back!

Great experience at the bar. GEORGI was awesome at suggesting new drinks for us and he did a great job making sure that they were perfect for our taste. The Rooftop is beautiful, even for the winter.

This is a cool bar with a great terrace. You have a great view of the surrounding skyscrapers. We also loved the possibility of sushi during a good drink. Come back again!

We were after a much needed escape from the hustle and bustle of times square and discovered this absolute gem of a rooftop bar. I don't usually write about the service of a place but in this case it was exceptional. We were firstly welcomed by the extremely warm and hilarious Brandon and then lucky enough to be served by Lily who, I'm calling it now, is easily the best waitress in NYC (and that's a big call!). She went out of her way to get an idea of our tastes before putting together the perfect mix of drinks and snacks. Already planning to make another visit later in the week!

This rooftop bar is my favorite way to experience Times Square. You can go out on the terrace to see the lights and the people down below, but you're not stuck in the crowds and chaos. The food and drinks are good too.

This is a fabulous space for cigars and drinks - small bites available. Staff could have been a little more attentive to details (like emptying ashtrays), but otherwise helpful and prompt after orders taken.

I went with friends for a dinner on the rooftop. The busser Forhad Hussain was kind enough to take pictures of us with the view. He was very polite and friendly and made that occasion very memorable.

My husband and I stayed at the knickerbocker hotel and went up to the lounge for a few drinks. What an amazing overall experience we had! The vibe and atmosphere was awesome, the decor was beautiful, and my favorite part was the friendly and welcoming employees! KP and Lisa truly made our experience over the top. They went above and beyond to make us happy! KP listened to my likes and made a special cocktail for me. Not only did it taste great, it looked beautiful! There was a group of women sitting next to us and they loved how my drink looked so they all ordered one too! Our time there was so enjoyable that we will be back next weekend with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday. Thank you so much KP and Lisa, your kindness and hospitality is what made us come back!

Lisa their beverage and food manager stepped into action and went over and above for our party of 8 – all in an effort to make a bad night turn into a GREAT night for us! It not only turned into one of the best nights ever, but everyone including our server Carlos were beyond accommodating, attentive, and caring! My cousin whose birthday we were out celebrating was made to feel like a million bucks, and to think we ended up at St Cloud on a whim since our other plans had fallen through. Of course, what’s not to love about this establishment, the jaw dropping views of the Times Square NYE ball, and delicious food and cocktails all make it a place for a fun night out but what really impressed me were the employees – you could tell that they all really loved what they were doing and that is rare to come by these days. I will not only be recommending this place to all of my friends and family but I will be making this my go to spot to stop whenever I visit NYC. I cannot thank Lisa and Carlos enough for all they did for us that night; it is a memory that will last forever!

We were staying nearby and went up to the rooftop at around 5:30 pm on a Tuesday night prior to a Broadway show. It was sunny but not overly warm. The rooftop sitting areas had heaters and blankets for customers to feel comfortable in the lower temperatures. We did not have reservations though almost every table had a reservation sign. Most other customers seemed to be staying at the Knickerbocker Hotel and in New York for business. The views were nice, though likely much better after sunset with the city lit up. We ordered specialty cocktails and they were just okay, especially for the high price, however, the appetizers were tasty. Service was fine, no complaints. Would likely not return and go to another rooftop bar instead.

I came with couple of friends. We loved the view,the environment was so good.We enjoyed the night very much and Mahmuda was nice and helpful.

Fun experience. We split a few small plates under the Times SQ New Years ball. Food was good. Everything was expensive but it is NYC. drinks $24, beer $11. Would have liked a better view over the sides, but prevented by beautiful flower planters. We sat on really uncomfortable couches to eat. And it was noisy. They had a bar up there that was hopping, would be fun to just go up for a beer.

We visited St. Cloud Rooftop at the very first night of our trip to New York. KP made us amazing mocktails and got us feeling warmly welcome to the city. The rooftop bar is in the heart of the Times Square. Nicely decorated terrace surrounded with beautiful architecture gives the feeling of luxury. Loved it!

The other day was my birthday and so my friends and I were looking for places to go. At first we went to some random bar and immediately walked out. I thought we were going to end up going home until I stubbled upon St. Cloud. It was such an amazing time. What made it amazing was our server Carlos. His service was the best. I will definitely be coming back for events and special occasions.

I came here to catch up with a friend and my server, Carolina, went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. She always made sure we had drinks and made great recommendations for food. I will be going back and requesting her as my server!

The best service ever! We were getting drinks immediately when we ordered. The waiter came every few minutes and asked so we need smth. It is really warm here. We will come back for sure!! Johir was so kind.

Had a fantaaaastic first visit to St. Cloud thanks to Ryan and Gio! They were amazing bartenders and were highly knowledgeable and had great recommendations for me and my friends. Excellent service and excellent conversation!! We had a blast thanks to these two and will definitely be back!

I had a great time hanging out on the comfy couches on the rooftop under some fantastic heat lamps that knocked off the chill. Wonderful Time Square views with a pretty great DJ spinnin all the goodies (I “Shazamed” at least two songs ;) Last, but not least, the amazing human bringing me drinks and snacks, Rita, was a rockstar. Will be back with more humans for some more QT w/ Rita! Thanks!
