Fun spot after our Hornblower Cruise

By wd1connell |

SST was recommended to us by friends who live in NYC. We met them there on a Saturday afternoon and opted to stay inside though the outdoor patio looked quite inviting. Comfortable and clean venue in a very interesting neighborhood which we enjoyed without the workweek crowds.

Excellent brunch

By HaleyandSteve |

Wonderful brunch in a very cool part of the city. Food was delicious, and the service was great. Nice portions!

Noisy, nice atmosphere, decent food

By JackofPBFL |

We went to the Stone Street Tavern for dinner. The first thing that hits you when you walk through the door is a VERY high noise level. We were hungry or we would have walked out and found something else. The atmosphere was very nice. The tavern is located in a historic building and their atmosphere matched. The food was good but pricey. Their menu is mostly a lunch menu with a few dinner entrees. The mac and cheese comes in about five varieties. Had the traditional and it was very good. Drinks are overly expensive. $3.00 for a club soda! The service was good but not spectacular.

Nice Pub

By Aemoore |

We had just arrived, and the concierge recommended this place as it was walking distance from the hotel. Atmosphere was great. Our waitress was very good and attentive. The beer was good. The food was pretty much what you would expect from a pub. We were overall very pleased.

Standard Bar

By WilSc |

Standard bar in a popular area. We stopped in after the lunch rush, atmosphere was a little lacking but bar staff friendly enough. Wouldn't rush back though.

Lively bar, good service but moderate food

By Martin R |

We had a lobster roll and a veggie burger here (total cost $40) both served with a small salad of mixed greens and onions with a tasty dressing. We were quite impressed with the fast service for a bustling bar and restaurant. My lobster roll was average - sweet enough but too buttery and the veggie burger (black bean and quinoa) was not particularly well seasoned. They did not have our fist choices of Brussels spouts and bison.

Bottomless Sunday Brunch = Good time

By Anita W |

While in NYC on a girl’s trip we decided to stay over on Sunday so we could experience a Stone Street brunch. We chose Stone Street Tavern. We all enjoyed bottomless mimosas & brunch. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. The mimosas were tasty & kept coming. We will be back next year for sure!

Love this place

By cdsimon |

This restaurant is my oasis in the NY Financial district. The food is good. If you are mood for some serious comfort food, try the lobster Mac-n-cheese. The beer menu focuses on the craft beers so be prepared to see a bunch of selections you have never heard of. The waitresses (many of them are highly attractive, by the way), can always make a good beer reccommendation. I just had a pumpkin apple cider that was very much better than it sounds. The feel is laid back and cool in the middle of the very stressful Wall Street environment. I'll keep coming back until they tell me not to.

Great pub atmosphere

By cspsales |

We always include Stone Street Tavern on our visits to NYC. It has a large variety of beers and tasty appetizers in a great atmosphere.

Great Brunch on Stone Street

By Brittany D |

There are a lot of pubs on Stone Street, so it's difficult to choose one. This one ended up being a fantastic choice. Delicious "hangover burger" with a fried egg and scrumptious fries. Plus, we got a beer flight that was enjoyable (and I don't like beer very much).

Love locale, vibe and atmosphere, food just ok

By iPhoneFan |

Wanted to love, love this place! Location is amazing - Stone St as a whole is fabulous and this tavern is no exception, as far as a place to hang out, authentic décor, good feel, etc. However, the food was just average - esp in a city famous for it's brunches. Nothing wrong with the burger, Benedict or quesadilla, but could have gotten it anywhere. Basically bar food. Super fun to hang out but maybe not a "meal destination." Don't let it stop you from going for drinks, snacks and atmosphere, just eat main meal elsewhere.

Delicious food!

By david p |

Went here for a work event and the food provided was phenomenal. The mini cheese burgers were delicious, the Mac and cheese was amazing and the wings were top quality. The server who was assigned to us (like 40 of us) was working extremely hard and did an excellent job providing good service and taking everyone's orders. We were given a private area under the tent outside that was very well located and we enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend eating here and setting a private event here.

Probably the best bar we where inn ...

By Lambretta101 |

This was just an awesome place to spend a few hours. Pleasant surroundings with attentive but not intrusive staff. A selection of beers and ales that we loved made for a relaxing enjoyable time. Combine with Luke's around the corner for a Lobster Roll, through in some good company and you'll have the most perfect experience in this historic part on Manhattan.

Went for dessert and cocktails and it was fantastic

By Christopher F |

Good food, strong drinks and great staff made it a great visit. Very kid friendly and they were open late which made it convenient for us as we were visiting Wall St.

3 disappointing meals

By Robert S |

Wow, was this disappointing. I went here for lunch with 2 business colleagues. Not one of us actually liked our meals. I got the turkey burger with nothing on it. It was burnt and I mean literally burnt. It was dry and really not flavorful. The French fries were just ok. Unfortunately, that lunch kept coming up on me for the rest of the day. One of my other guests got a salmon salad. He said the salmon tasted a little funny. I should mention that we went to SST because this guest had been there before and had a good sandwich. He did not recall what that sandwich was. The third guest got a quesadilla. She had a couple of bites and that was it. Interestingly, the waitress did not ask how everything was. Next time, going to one of the other, and there are many, nearby places for lunch.

Lunch was Very Good

By Jester70 |

My wife and I took break form a photo shoot to drop in and grab some pub food. Patti had the special blackened salmon and kale caesar and I tried the Bison Burger, Both were very tasty , our server friendly and the the water pitcher was kept filled( we were working no beers). We will definitely be back. The Stone Street area is very cool , worth a trip. Our server was Michelle and she was terrific.

Get the fries, skip the burger!

By TXguy7527 |

French fries here are awesome. Burger was just OK. Service was fast, friendly, and spot on. Too bad the burger disappointed as that was what I really wanted for lunch. Good selection of beer.

Great food

By richr1979 |

Great food, wonderful cosy environment, staff were attentive and friendly. Located in financial district, in historic area of stone street. Basic menu ...but the food we had was delicious. Drinks a little on the pricy side, however this is is reflective of NYC in general.

Wonderful bar and excellent food

By Stephen M |

We had a business lunch for 12 people. The food was excellent. The bar itself has a fun atmosphere. And, the location on Stone Street is excellent. Definitely will return on another visit to the city.

Just ho hum

By kidzkafe |

Average food, mediocre service - not too else much to say. We were there late night - waitress 'forgot' to tell us about the upcharge for sweet potato fries (not in the menu either). In fact, had to send them back because they were cold and stale. Go elsewhere - NYC's got so much to offer, even in FiDi.

Bacon

By Alan O |

This place is pretty nice, with a great range of drinks. However, having succumbed to curiosity and ordered a cocktail containing bacon, I have to conclude that sometimes boundaries are pushed too far! As much as I accept some of the blame myself, why on earth anyone would add bacon to a cocktail is beyond me. Still, nobody died and I am wiser for the experience. I'd definitely go back anyway.

Enjoyable place for a drink

By OnTravelsAgain |

It is many years since we last visited the Tavern and could remember our past thoughts. On this occasion we had a really enjoyable visit, only for drinks, but the service and atmosphere were great!

Tasty Lunch before Staten Island

By sandman2083 |

We visited this restaurant ahead of the ferry to Staten Island. It seems to be a place where both tourists and workers from the financial district combine and you have to hit it at the right point, within 30 minutes it was heaving but non the less the food was really good. The burgers were first class and made with exceptional ingredients, the staff very friendlly and helpful and all in a nice atmosphere. There are many options for food on this one street but if you want meat and want quality use this place.

Go elsewhere

By tcdehaas |

Went there tonight, June 28th, we stayed in the nearby Wall Street inn, and having walked a lot today looked for a bite to eat nearby the hotel, we figured one of the food establishment on Stone Street would be just fine. We avoided the madhouse outside on Stone street and decided on a table inside. We ordered the "cheese platter", comes with a few small pieces of parm, two pieces of a blue cheese type and some crackers, not exactly mind blowing, but ok. Also ordered wings, and the fish and chips, the wings were fine, nothing bad about those, the fish looked good, and once you scraped the excessive layers of mediocre tasting batter away it actually tasted like something resembling fish. Service was absolutely TERRIBLE, had to ask for everything multiple time, now in their defense there was a movie shoot on the premise of a movie with Cameron Diaz, but that should not be a reason to simply ignore your clientele. We were apparently located too close to the set, so we were asked mid dinner to move from our table, now we did not mind, but still, you figure the staff would at least keep an eye on us after asking us to move with our plates of food to a different spot, no such thing, even had to repeatedly ask the waitress for the check, then ask her again for the change. Anyway, this outfit might be ok for burgers & wings, but make sure you don't order anything more advanced than that, and make sure you got all the time in the world, your gonna need it.

A good lobster roll

By ELLA37 |

On Stone street, one of the emblematic streets of NYC, this restaurant allowed us to eat a delicious lobster roll. The lobster was very present and we enjoyed it. The service was a bit impersonal but professional. Oddly, there are no desserts…. There weren't many people in the restaurant (it was 3 p.m.). This street is best visited in the evening for the atmosphere!

Great pub and non-touristy

By Travelcato |

Considering 99.9% of people in NYC appear to be tourists, the Stone St Tavern is great. Its in the Wall street area and really caters to locals and business people. summer has outdoor tables and there are lots of other pubs near by. Tourists: This is worth the walk from 9/11 memorial or from your shopping at Century 21! Guys: lots of beers on tap and tons of deep fried stuff ladies: not all heavy food! The area is quite historic and on weekends ( esp Thurs and Friday) its rocking! worth going to .

Must try!

By Cherbear4u |

I was tired and hungry after traveling all day so I was ready to relax and enjoy some good grub as we walked up to Stone Street Tavern. The host Louis was kind and I think he could tell I had been traveling so after telling us it would be a 10-15 minute wait (not bad for a late lunch in NYC) he offered me a glass of water. Just a few minutes after that he seated us to what would be my favorite lunch during my trip to New York. Louis suggested the Brussel Sprouts and the Jalapeno Guac which were both excellent. The server suggested I try the burger which was amazing too. Atmosphere was great. Not stuffy or pretentious and prices were great! Needless to say, next time I'm back in NY, I will be back to the Stone Street Tavern.

Popcorn Shrimp or Popcorn and shrimps?

By FabGlobetrotter03 |

I like the location of this restaurant and have eaten from it a lot but recently, I find the food and service to be poor. Recently, I ordered popcorn shrimp to be delivered to my place of business and could not believe my eyes. It was not as advertised at all. It was literarily about eleven pieces of small shrimps and some popcorn. Personally, I would not care too much about the shrimp portion since I have seen worse in NYC but I just find it so tacky that the popcorn was added to the plate and it made up half the plate. Also, the shrimps were not that great. The only thing my friends and I kept thinking was “at least someone has a sense of humor”. It was hilarious looking at that plate (in a negative way). I recommend that this meal be either made to reflect its description on the menu, or its description changes.

Ugh. These reviews were right.

By CSSnowshoer |

Yes, stupid. I read the reviews before going, yet still went. Someone else chose it. We almost got up and left when they did not have the fish and chips nor the scallops. Should have left. I had the bean burger, pork and kobe sliders. Bean was way to salty and thus inedible. The other two tasted ok but I woke with terrible stomach ache. Not sure how my friends fared stomachwise. The food all looked great, just was a bit off as if someone developed the recipes but the people cooking could not pull it off. Outside was a beerfest, inside empty but music still very loud until someone asked them to turn it down to a dull roar. Not going back.

Great place for a Guinness

By patrickkoto |

Great place to stop for a Guinness after exploring FiDi! Historical bar with a good crowd. My friend got the mojito and loved it.

Good atmosphere, nice food

By Ana B |

This restaurant is right in the middle of the Wall Street area. The space is very nice, you can eat at the bar or sit in tables. The food was good but wins for the original presentation. The service was acceptable given the time of the day. Something that I didn't like was the tipping process, normally we are to give between 10-15% of the total bill, or more if we enjoyed the place. Well we gave 15% and the waiter came back saying that we had to give more, that is unacceptable, we tip according to our experience and not according to what they want and to be honest the service and the food were not that special...

For a quick lunch and a stopover

By judit88 |

We visited this tavern after a walking tour in the Financial District of NYC and it felt a decent place for a quick and easy, Pub-style meal. The street is a relief after seeing so many skyscrapers. Hidden from the masses of visitors, it gives you the feel of a quiet medieval street with its low-rise buildings, taverns and eating places. They have tables outside during summer but we were happy to be indoor during the cold winter weather. We had fish and chips, nothing special, which was good to local standards, with good size portions. The service was quick, the bill was reasonable.

Worth A Visit - But Only If In The Area

By Wassel57 |

We were in New York as a party of six and had heard a lot about Stone Street as a must to visit for eating out. We visited this place mid afternoon and it was very quite. The place itself is nice and as expected by New York standards very clean. The staff were friendly and they a good choice of menu. They had numerous TV's splattered about the place showing different sports and entertainment. We all opted for burgers and they were all very nice. They have a very good selection of beers and do beer tasting menus. One important drawback, and it is very important as it has to do with our Wives, the measures of wine you get are very, very skimpy and at $12/Glass our Wives were not imprest.

Standard. Bar food and drink

By Bill F |

Typical bar food and drink, nothing special. Loud, not a cozy bar. But OK for a after work drink. After work crowd is young and at times boisterous. Standard fare.

Great Place to Stop and Have a Drink

By BRcircle |

Did not eat here, just had a drink after a long day of visiting tourist sites in the City. Great atmosphere !

Great Pub!

By James B |

Went for lunch on a Sunday after visiting the Statue of Liberty. Loved the food and atmosphere of this pub.

Fabulous burger

By Brickbubble F |

Stopped by during our family vacation and tried the classic burger with aioli, avocado, and cheese — easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The only downside was the fries, which were a bit underwhelming and overcooked. Our server, however, was incredibly attentive and friendly, making the experience enjoyable overall.

Nice but expensive be weary

By Steve T |

Nice authentic safe local pub, but remember in near Wall Street and that’s how they charge. Roasted Brussels were like eating food for the gods, blummin beautiful. All in all, great time, great company just watch the prices

Fun atmosphere

By Dolores C |

Was visiting New York for about 5 days and had dinner at Stone Street Tavern. The atmosphere was great, lots of people having a great time and music playing in the background. Ordered the Tavern burger with the sweet potato fries and was very happy with it! Tasty juicy burger. Waiters were excellent too! Will definitely be back

Great pub

By Davy C |

Dropped in a couple of times for drinks and food. Very spacious, plenty of seating inside (and out, if the weather's good). Service is excellent - as soon as we took a table, one of the bar staff would be over with menus. There is a wide choice of good beers, and a decent food menu. The meals we had were very good, and the portions are a decent size. Good food, good beer and a warm welcome. Can highly recommend this pub.

Nice, but pricy (like everything else in NY,...)

By JvH_1962 |

Went here for lunch after spending the morning in the financial district of Manhattan. The location is quite nice. It's in a small cobble stoned street in Manhattan. Lot's of similar places in the same area, so you could just pick any,..... Lunch menu pretty much standard. As far as I am concerned a little bit pricy, but the food was okay.

Lovely spot, good mac and cheese!

By Emma |

This place was in a book of mine, and ordinarily given the title of the page "best places to meet bankers" we may not have gone there, but the write up is right. It's on a small cobbled street, pedestrians only, where you can eat outside on long tables - basically it's what Wall Street might have been like back in the day and now a nice place for a pit stop. It's a great spot after seeing the big skyscrapers and offices which is maybe a little soulless so this has a bit of character whilst you eat!

It’s was ok

By James E |

We came here after a day exploring downtown and we love Stone Street been here a couple of times trying different places. We thought we would pop for a drink and a bit to eat. Don’t get me wrong it was lovely here, staff were lovely, the food was ok but thought it was pricey for what we got. The Pizza and Mexican place next door seemed better and probably would go there next time we visit Stone Street.

Wall Street Friday night

By takingavacation |

We were visiting the Wall Street area and looking for a nice place to eat dinner. Stone Street was filled with people sitting outside at picnic tables. I believe most of the workers from the surrounding businesses were finishing off the work week (Friday around 6:30 pm) with a drink and dinner. We decided to try the Stone Street Tavern. This establishment was extremely busy and very loud. The waitress Lauren was very busy trying to serve all her customers. She did a great job fulfilling the needs of her customers. The food was just okay. I had the Strawberry Spinach Salad and I think there was maybe 2 strawberries cut up in small pieces on the salad. There were nuts ground so fine it was like a paste instead of pieces. I would not recommend this salad. If you want the busy atmosphere of after work relief, then this would fit your bill.

Great drinks and service

By Matt |

Only had drinks but service was excellent and drinks selection was great. Monkey 47 and a good range of beer on offer.

Worth a Return Trip

By Bryan H |

We were on a walking tour of NYC and our lunch stop was in the Stone Street neighborhood. There are many restaurants to choose from and after perusing many menus, we decided to stop here. We chose to sit outside in the street. The staff was friendly and courteous. The menu has a good selection. The meal was delicious. If I ever came back to this area, I will consider stopping here again.

Sunday Brunch ok

By Where2next629 |

Couldn't give this a "Very Good" rating. Went for brunch, large party. Some food came out cold. Portions small for the price.Pancakes flat and unappetizing. Several of us ordered the $25 bottomless mimosas, they brought a pitcher to the table which initially confused me but I guess it worked out ok as we refilled each other's glasses and they did bring at least one more pitcher. That guarantees you the table for 2 hours which is fine. They really talk you into ordering the bottomless drink. Service was ok. Atmosphere is loud (I get it, its a pub, just mentioning it for others reference).

Good brunch but pricey

By FabulousMissM |

My friends and I had Sunday brunch here November 2012. We liked that they had unlimited bloody marys and mimosas for $20 (worth it if you have at least 2). The service was good and the food pretty good. I was shocked by the bill at the end though. I didn't expect to be paying so much for typical brunch.

charming place on a side street in the Wall street district

By Soizic P |

A charming restaurant located on an equally pleasant street in the Wall Street district. The meal is hearty, and the service is quick. However, a slight downside: the classic burgers and fries are delicious, crispy, but the grilled chicken was too dry in the Caesar salad and the chicken/pesto burger. But I recommend without problem.

Always a wonderful brunch

By P Brian S |

My daughter lives close by this venue. We have been coming here for more than 6 years. The tavern is on an historic street behind 85 Broad St. and there are many differing venues to go to. We like the Stone St. Tavern. Sadly, my daughter is moving uptown, & we will need to discover some new brunch places in the future. However, please try this Tavern. The bloody Mary's are top notch. The food is as well. We will be back...that's for sure!

Cute Stone Street find

By Andrea R |

Love the outdoor atmosphere here at Stone Street. We were here for a girls wknd so we got 3 dishes and shared. I got the turkey burger and it was so good, loved the Tomato Chutney on the burger. We also had the Buffalo Wrap this was very good as well. To drink I had their seasonal Pumpkin Beer. It was very good. I loved everything about this Stone Street find.

Fun Spot !!

By georgi733 |

We had brunch, good price, hang over burger hit the spot. Includes bloody mays. food delicious and our server was lovely.

Great Vibe

By Richard A |

Just a great neighborhood place to go. I usually have a burger and craft beer. Everything on the menu is really good. You can't go wrong. Sometimes the noise level at night gets to me but it's not a problem for most people. It's a great place for lunch as well.

Great small tavern!

By dbmm |

We ate lunch there. The place was packed and the atmosphere was joyful. The beer and the food were very good. All in all this was a very good discovery. Just 10-15 minutes from 9/11 grounds and even closer to the East River.

Good honest food

By QSM42 |

Visited for lunch and dinner over several trips to New York. Always enjoyed the food, staff are friendly and attentive.

Disappointed

By Krod91 |

We were at our table At least 15 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. Unfortunately the bartender cut her finger. It took an additional 40 minutes to get our drinks. Our food arrives about an hour after we sat at the table. Don't ask for sugar, this does not seem to be something readily available, only fake sugar. The waitress never checked back after the meals arrived to see if everything was ok. So disappointed.

Very noisy and only average food

By Cathy G |

Ate dinner here once; place was busy ( Kentucky Derby Day!) so service was slow and we felt rushed out after eating . Food was adequate but nothing special.

Fun, Hip Place

By Tony J |

I haven't eaten here in a while but the atmosphere is very cool! Full Disclosure: I know one of the partners and she does her best to get things right! She was one of my bartenders for years and was always great! Yes, most folks might find it a bit pricey but downtown financial distric bars and restaurants are not inexpensive - you are, after all, paying for the party! I eat there last back in 2010 and I was not dissappointed however you can call me a bit biased but I think the food was good. The bar scene is all "NEW YORK CITY!" If your expecting to get a fast drink and fast service, then think again! This is a very busy place and no amount of extra service personnel is going to fix that. Enjoy the scene, the people, go ahead, I dare you!?! PS: Be kind to me, despite my indication of a 01/2012 visit, it was actually 12/2010.

Food was ok

By C M |

We stopped here in the middle of a tour we were on for lunch. I had problems with the waiter, he was unsure in answering my questions on the menu items. He did get some answers but really didn't understand. The food was good and came out quick.

Here's a tip " Try better service"

By cquadros |

We visited the Stone Street Tavern on the 20th of Sept 2015. Since it was a Sunday night we called ahead to check what time they were open till, we were told last order was at 11pm but we could stay on till midnight. We got there at about 9.30pm - our waitress for the night was very indifferent and quite curt with us. We double checked if they were good to serve us since they were pretty empty- to which our waitress told us she would stop taking our orders at 10.50pm and kitchen closes at 11pm. We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children so we had ordered a couple of drinks and a main each. I don't know if she was just in a hurry to go home because by about 10.30 the waitress bought us our bill without being asked - so we asked if we could order another round of drinks before we paid - she told us we should do that at the bar since it wasn't busy they would be closing up early. Since we felt like that was her cue to tell us to leave, we paid the bill but because of how impatiently the waitress had behaved with us, we felt her service did not deserve to be tipped. (Let me just mention at this point that we have visited many other restaurants in the US and are well aware that 18-25% is an average tip for good service). She then made it a point to come up to us and rudely tell us " In case you didn't know it is customary to tip at least 20% when you make people stay back after they are closed" to which we had to remind her that it was only 10.45pm and if her service had been at all pleasant we would have been happy to tip her. On our way out as we were leaving other waiters were thanking us for coming, to which she shouted out from the back of the restaurant " don't thank them". Clearly us spending about 150$ there was not good enough for her. Terrible experience and the food was average at best. I would not recommend to anyone - especially if they have Olivia as their waitress!

disappointing

By cécile D |

the place is nice in a fashionable street. We ate a grilled chicken and pesto sandwich without much interest.

Just okay.

By Precious J. |

Drinks were good, but my lobster roll tasted a little fishy, definitely not fresh. My husband's wings were pretty good though. Service was average. I didn't like the choice of music, but I suppose that's personal preference.

Great food, atmosphere and food - a must visit

By Paul_Thomas_UK |

After a busy morning exploring the Lower Manhatten area around Wall Street and a trip to Tiffany's, it was a surprise to stumble across this small historic area of NYC. If you are visiting NYC this a lovely area in contrast to the steel and glass skyscrapers. Beautiful old stone buildings and cobbled streets. Located mid way down Stone Street is a tavern of the same name. Inside you have a wonderful bar and dining area with exposed brick walls and wooden furniture. Complete contrast to the midtown restaurants - this actually has soul and character. Food is a mixture of American and a take on English, for example I had fish & chips in a Guiness batter. The first time and really tasty. Servings are usual huge size and the Hangover burger looked fabulous! Being a real ale fan I tried the Stone Tavern IPA - 10/10 guys! A great brew and a shame I can't get it in the UK. They also do a tasting platter of Guiness and three other ales - another nice twist. Great service and great atmosphere set in a more historic area. Recommended and on our list to return to again when we come back.

Quaint place with good food

By Javier A |

We were on the terrace, which is located on a picturesque cobblestone street with low buildings, as if it didn't belong in this city. We ordered stewed beef with pasta, hamburger, pesto chicken sandwich and nachos. All pretty good. Correct service. Somewhat expensive prices, especially the glass of wine at 12 dollars.

Fun busy!!

By kiheimaui |

Busy little joint. Rub elbows with local workers while you enjoy some great tavern food. Get the famous burger or a salad. Service was good and to the point

October Fest

By Jerry J |

Crowded To Beat Hell and hard to move around but still a lot of fun. Mostly young people with a seldom few older on the edges. Wife chose Stone Street Golden ale And I picked Captain Aldridge which was so good we split a second draft. The ale was also good. No specials on the small plates so we didn't have any. Really good 5:00 place but as taking in different Stone St bar every nite, won't be back. Sat at the picturesque bar inside

Good Lunch

By Bob T |

Wanted to eat on historic Stone Street. Many restaurants to pick from. So we chose the Stone Stree tTavern. It was good. we weren't fond of the community seating outside, so we asked to be moved inside. They were very accommodating. Food was good and once inside the service was better. The inside server was much more attentive and friendly than the one we had outside. So, it turned out ok. For the Financial District, it was a good place. The whole area was very crowded. If you go, go early. It got very crowded. It was a good choice, i would recommend it, but sit at an inside table.

Good local tavern

By John S |

I visited this tavern a couple of times during my recent visit to new York. it was very near to my hotel . The food is quite good and reasonably priced. A great selection of beers. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Good but nothing special

By Mary-EllenCallahan |

I had the steak salad, which I thought would be enough to hold me, but I was actually hungry an hour later. Maybe it's the wrong greens? And the kitchen is open to some of the smaller tables, so it's really built for large groups.

OK for a quick lunch

By EastVillageDenizen |

There are a host of choices for lunch on Stone Street. During fair weather the restaurants on both sides of the narrow, cobblestoned street have outside dining. Stone Street Tavern does a good job of getting food to the tables - inside and out. It offers several typical salads, sandwiches and burger choices, all around $15. If you adhere to the KISS system you can have a satisfying lunch and get out in time to return to work.

I can't believe the NERVE!

By beentheredonthatNy |

This tavern sits on a very hip historic cobbled stone street in downtown New York City, hence the name Stone Street Tavern. We went there for Sunday brunch. I orderd a Pinot grigio, as common a wine as you can get. I was given chardonnay. No explanation. I called the waitress over and told her this was not what I ordered. Are you ready? The absurd answer, we have no Pinot Grigrio! So you substitute Chardonnay without any explanation? Incredible gaul, leave this tavern untouched, pass it by, there are other taverns on this great street, even their medicore food would be better than the idiocy experienced at Stone Street Tavern. And she calls herself a bartender? Who does this in such a great town? Sad, so sad, they will hire anyone I guess.

An interesting place

By David_F1206 |

Stopped for a small bite Was recommended a Mac and Cheese with lobster and truffle oil. As a European thought it was a burger whereas Mac is for Macaroni ;-) As I was curious I kept the dish and discovered a very tasty one ... missing some veggies but surprising. I tasted the two home made beers (pilsener and pale ale) which were also good. Waitress at the bar was very friendly. A place worth a stop.

Consistently great!

We visit NYC twice a year and ALWAYS find the time to go to Stone Street Tavern. Coldest beer in the city!! Yummy food!! Impeccable service!! Miguel is the bomb!!

Historic area in the Financial District.

By rosebayfind |

Set in a small historic area this tavern offers all - great food, lively atmosphere and a beautiful old building sympathetically restored to it's former glory. It's lively, noisy and great fun. Old Pearl Street and Stone Street are well worth a visit. I didn't expect to find anything like this in the Financial District.

A must for us

By Carla_LaPeng |

The Stone Street Tavern is located in New York's Financial District and is highly recommended. In addition to bottled beers, there are also a few draft beers and, among other things, a beer brewed especially for the tavern. The tavern is not particularly large, which we found quite pleasant. There is also an outdoor area that really doesn't feel like you are in New York, because Stone Street with its lower houses looks more like a small town.

Italian restaurant in the financial district

By Stephaniight |

We came upon this restaurant and it was nearby full. The location is nice and simply efficiently decorated We didnt have to wait a lot and the food was good but not extraordinary The prices are okay (wine quite expressive): we paid 80 dollars with the tips (3 people and a bottle of wine) Its an average italian restaurant next to wall street

good to go for sunday Brunch.

By Erica Y |

Very nice Brunch, with a wide range of dishes, all you can eat raw Oyster and clam... very good quality of the food and very food dessert presentation.. yummy.

Deceived by happy hour

By Joao M |

After a day in the city, we were thirsty and decided to have a beer in the financial district taking advantage of the happy hour. When we received the bill, the happy hour prices were not applied. We paid 20$ for two beers when we could pay 10$. I talked with the waitress and she answer me that the happy hour prices are for a specific beer. This information is not posted anywhere and we don't have any way of knowing it!

Stone Street Tavern - Leave No Burger Unturned

By Edward C |

Recent visit with my two kids, ages 15 and 21, and all we could say on the way home was "Those were the BEST burgers ever!" Now if you can say that about a hamburger, you know they are good!!! I had the Bison Burger...and will never return to regular hamburgers again. Enjoy a flight of beers with your burger and fries, you wont be disappointed.

Not worthy of its reputation

By The_Hailes |

I traveled based on a recommendation. I wished I had stayed at my first stop (Fraunces Tavern) - the atmosphere was lacking and I felt mixed experiences of rush or ignored. The mac & cheese was tasty and it was accompanied by the Fig Old Fashioned.

Friday Lunch at the Stone Street Tavern

By MooGooOne |

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered sparkling water (Saratoga $8.00/bottle). I had the Classic Tavern Burger with Parmesan fries ($2.00 extra but well worth it). My boyfriend had the Steak Frittes (Hangar steak with greens). Both dishes were generously portioned and tasted great. Go early for preferential seating, meaning the upholstered back chairs against the wall. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. This place had a lively vibe during a chilly January afternoon. Screens were on with news and sports but there was no overwhelming music playing; you can actually have a conversation with your lunch partner.

Pricy but good food

By buckeyebatman |

I will start with the one negative: very expensive Positives: location, location, location. Really cool side street near Wall Street. There were about 5-6 restaurants in a row and tables with umbrellas set up. Lots of younger people eating and drinking. I think they realized we were tourists and moved us inside far from everyone. I didn't mind the window seat. Everything we ate was fabulous! Ceasars Salad $12.00 Kobi sliders $15.00 Great place for singles, young couples and families with older kids.

Very serviceable

By HenryNYC |

Good ambience decent food choices excellent beer selections limited wine choices friendly wait staffs comfortable visits

A historic well placed tavern

By Dennis C |

This is a bar positioned in the popular Stone Street area in the historic area of Manhattan. We held a couple of drinks events here. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. The food offering is what you expect from a New York bar and there is also outside space. Well worth a visit.

Fun, friendly brunch spot

By Mo C |

Everything from avocado toast to burritos to eggs Benedict to burgers. Great place to spend a lazy Sunday brunch. Bottomless mimosas or beers, well at least for 2 hours. The staff were friendly - lots of large bench style seating outside. If you are a small group they add other people to your table. We met some really fun New Yorkers (we were all from U.K.). This is my second visit and I'd go again!

Traders meet tourists in quaint old NY street

By Astrid O |

Stone Street is an oasis in an otherwise pretty boring neighborhood for bars and restaurants. A mix of Wall street folks and tourists, fun atmosphere and great for drinks and beer. Usually men:women ratio is 5:1!

Fun Pub!

By Parisleen |

We wandered in on a slow winter Saturday night in the financial district; happy to find this street as the surroundings streets were very quiet. Bartender was friendly, place was fun. We didn’t eat but would definitely recommend it for a drink if you are in the neighborhood.

Great Place for a drink and a bite

By amy099 |

Loved the atmosphere of Stone Street and the outside seating. Were there just a week before St. pat's so all was in place for the big festivities. The wait staff was friendly and packed due to the New York Half. Spend some time here and enjoy!

Good food, good service, extremely loud

By Travel G |

This restaurant is in a historic building on a historic, no traffic, cobblestone street. It has a great atmosphere. Our food was also really good and we had good service. But the thing that stands out in my mind the most about this restaurant several days later is that it was LOUD. I mean like the loudest restaurant I have been to in years. Maybe a decade.

Bottomless Mimosas and Lunch

By Mo C |

We had a fantastic meal on the day we were leaving New York in the Stone Street Tavern. The waitress was awesome and we were all pretty pleased with our meal and the bottomless mimosas. It wasn't too crowded (during the holidays) but I'm sure it would normally be pretty busy. Recommend this as a great pub

Good Place for a Sandwich

By MonkeyChuckle |

On a business trip to NYC, we hit SST for dinner. We all were looking for something not too heavy or expensive. The place was quite busy and the service was a bit slow. It seemed like we never kept the same server throughout the meal. We had burgers, I had the Smokehouse, wich was messy but good. They have a nice beer selection as well.

Nice little spot for lunch

By Tess23 |

I wandered up to Stone Street for lunch yesterday after visiting the 9/11 museum. The weather was grand and I found an outdoor table for two at Stone Street Tavern. The waiter immediately delivered a carafe of water to my table. I ordered a tasty Greek salad and added chicken. Delicious with just the right tang in the dressing--not too overpowering. Accompanied it with a Cisco Sankaty light lager from Nantucket (their lightest beer--delish!) and enjoyed New Yorkers and tourists reveling in the nice weather. A great lunch--I'd return.

Totally average

By Lara |

A large group from work met here recently for drinks and snacks, and it was totally average. The waitress was obsessed with us taking up a table, as some of us were standing by the bar and some of us wanted to sit at the table. She kept trying to explain that we would have to move if she needed table, but the whole place was totally empty, and she never needed the table. This did not prevent her from telling us each time somebody new joined us at the table. The service was terribly slow at the table, and some people just ended up going to the bar to order. The food is OK, and the drinks are OK. This place is nothing special. It's too bad really, because it has potential.

Really Great Burgers

By JCRealtor |

Right in the center of Stone Street is the Tavern. Late afternoon meal. Drinks were strong. Service was great and the Kobe sliders were perfect. I hate when you order a medium rare burger and its not pink in the middle, This one was perfect. Fries also really good.

Close to the Financial District

By wraafy |

This restaurant was my first NY experience. Son works in the financial district and suggested this place because of the location and the Quaint Stone St. area. The meal we had was average but good for a late afternoon meal. My son and friend both ordered Sweet potatoe fries and upon getting them I noticed my son's were extremely burnt and had to be sent back. I was a little surprised the server did not notice. They brought more out very quick. The area is very nice and great atmosphere but not sure I would eat here again. Felt it was a bit overpriced.

Brunch!

By JamesJoy |

The Stone Street Tavern was a great brunch choice. The food was delicious, the bloody marys were too. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant's atmosphere and decor was comfortable and cool. Loved it.

Nice Little Tavern

By betheljoy |

Came here about 2230 from a late flight. Short walk from Doubletree Hilton Financial District Hotel. Service was great and quick, Sliders with fries were yummy. We didnt stay long but it was a great experience . We had a chat with the Irish manager who gave us a tip on how to tip as we are confused if its 10% or 20% tip (we dont tip in Sydney) ... all good ..

Bad Service

By RhRd |

We ate lunch at the Stone Street Tavern on November 9, 2012. My girlfriend and I each had a burger with fries and a coke. The burger was good. The service was subpar. The waitress asked if I wanted a refill of my coke during the meal. When I said that I would like a refill, she took the glass and never returned. It was odd. After finishing our meal and waiting for quite some time, I had to stop another waitress and ask for our bill. After another prolonged wait, the original waitress returned with the bill and set it on the table without a word. In general, the service was slow and rude. With multiple restaurant options in close proximity, I regret that we chose to eat at Stone Street Tavern.

Sunday late lunch

By smnd79 |

Was Recomended this place by our hotel ( the guild , amazing little hotel in the finance district ) we fancied a nice burger after an afternoon of beers and cocktails, I had the sliders and the chicken wrap the wife went for tuna tartar and a beef burger, all food was nice, the salad looked like it had been left out a while ( New York had been around 30 degrees that day ) so left that as it looked too miserable to eat. Te wife asked the waiter for vinegar and he bought over balsamic, we asked for malt vinegar and he was rude saying no such thing !! Think there needs to be a little training done here !! His attitude stunk so hope you don't get him. However on the plus side the bar brews it's own beers and the pilsner is very nice ( having been to a few pilsner factories in my time ) Would go again, or head to the street as plenty of other choices around.

Very nice brunch

By P Brian S |

We frequent this little tavern when we venture into the city to visit with our daughter. The brunch on Sunday is a favorite. Can get crowded in the late spring & summer, but still a pleasure. The Bloody Mary 's are very good as is the food. The atmosphere runs the gamut from relaxing to trendy.

Good People Watching

By quietmanNY |

You get to watch sweaty people sit outside and drink beer and eat burgers. :) Or you can sit inside and drink beer and eat burgers. The price for beer can get a little steep if you are going for multiples....but I guess its average for NYC. I don't think there are any Happy Hour Specials.

Great after work place!

By nknyc15 |

We went there last night with friends after work and had a great time. The ambience outdoors was nice. We enjoyed the beer, drinks( pino grigio, gin and tonic and an IPA) and the sampler platter of wings, fries, beef sliders and lobster salad sliders. All in all a happening, bustling environment with good drinks and food.

Perfect

By Departure04828376728 |

Excellent burger, excellent atmosphere and top staff. Fast, helpful and friendly 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 God willing, we will come back 😁 every recommendation, without a single complaint.

Decent food and service, but bench seats uncomfortable for a meal

By bcasey1 |

It's NYC, so smaller places and squishy seating are to be expected at casual restaurants. Bench seating makes sence there to fit in as many people as possible, but that didn't make it any more comfortable. Good place for drinks and casual meal though

Atmosphere ok, Dont eat the food

By Michelle A |

I was there on 4.20.12 and got food poisoning from the Stone Street Salad

Loved the beer flights!

By TSMV |

W hoped to drink some american beer on tap and our friend googled this pace for us. We hiked a bit to find it (the street is in two sections, this is in the west part of it) but loved it! The beer flights allowing you to choose four different beer to taste. we did it twice to be able to taste all the interesting things. Shared also a small something with asparagus and it was just super.

Great pub with a good menu and awesome atmosphere!

By Dana M |

Ate at the Stone Street Tavern last weekend and it was really great! The burgers were delicious, but the historic Stone Street atmosphere is what will definitely bring me back to this spot in the future. There is inside seating and the inside area is nice, but the outside picnic table seating on stone street is what makes this place amazing! We each got the Tavern Burger (I got no mushrooms) and it was super juicy and cheesy. I was definitely satisfied. Also, they had a really great beer list. I got the pumpkin cider which was beyond amazing. I would come back for the cider alone!!!

A Pub

By Jeremy T |

I had one of the best burgers I have ever had here. I washed it down with a delicious dark beer. We sat outside, a real downtown experience. The Wall Street area is teeming with people on good weather summer days. Always fun.

Horrible waste of time

By mariohtml |

I had not seen such disorganization in a restaurant for many years. I hadn't had such a bad service experience in quite some time. You can see my comment history. It took an hour to serve the food. They did not bring the water. Then they didn't bring the cutlery. They were also wrong with the next table. Food nothing tasty. They took a long time to collect. Horrible waste of time.

Great brunch

By FabulousMissM |

Went back to Stone Street for brunch again. The bottomless mimosas are definitely a great attraction for us. The food is top notch as well. It is a bit pricey but I think worth it. We sat outside at the communal tables and had a great meal. We will definitely visit again.

Classic Pub on Stone Street

By Tootsy J |

They seemed to have a nice selection of drinks and some specials! We had appetizers, they were ok. Service was great, I have had lunch here too, nice menu. A little crazy on a Thursday evening, but alot of fun .....

Neat little pub, unfortunately the bar tender was rude

By Andie W |

The location is great (financial district on a cobblestone street filled with pubs and restaurants). The menu looked good and the drinks were good. Unfortunately they gave my friend a mixed drink instead of the whiskey she ordered. The bar tender gave her a lot of attitude about rectifying the mistake. It really set a bad tone for the night so we left. I'm sure it was just a one-off on a bad day. Other than the notable service the place was a cool little pub.

Good value. Was quite surprised

By Kathyfm1 |

Stopped by Stone Street looking for a nice breakfast with a friend. The menu was limited especially since this is more of a pub. We were impressed when a side of bacon was piled high -- there must have been 10-12 pieces. I ordered eggs serviced Mexican style with quesadillas, guacamole, sour cream, salsa and jalapeños on the side. Once again the portion was huge and very appetizing.

Great Macaroni Cheese

By BojanglesMacDaddy |

Nice place. Although waitress had a face like a wet weekend, Macaroni Chilli Cheese made up for this.

Refreshments and meal

By rav v |

Various bars/taverns on this street serving various types of gastro pub meals. We were there in the evening and there was a lovely vibrant atmosphere with revellers enjoying a drink and meal. A nice place area to visit if your in the area.

great food great service

By Jim H |

Ate at Stone Street Tavern and came away very impressed with the food and the service. I had chicken and waffles (my first time). The waffle was covered by pieces of fried chicken with bacon and pickles on top. The dish also came with a side salad. All of the ingredients were tasty and best of all the bacon was not limp or overcooked. The service was excellent. The meal was, in my opinion, a great deal for the cost.

Little Tavern in Historic NYC

By Leta H |

it had basic pub food, the ambiance is what made it unique.. very hustle bustle for a Tuesday night, in walking distance from the Double Tee.. into little cobblestone/brick roads, w/ no vehicle access - - charming for an early spring outting.

Good basic food

By Karen M |

Food was fine. Nothing amazing but equally, hard to find fault with it. Atmosphere was grand and the staff were friendly. Perhaps not somewhere to go out of your way to find, but certainly worth calling in if you are passing!

Great little find

By Medas2005 |

This cobblestone street is home to a nice collection of very nice little restaurants just blocks away from the skyscrapers of Wall Street. We stayed at the Andaz Wall Street and found this nice little area about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The restaurant is a like a nice British Pub but with better food and service than what you will find in London. My wife had a great lunch of fish and chips and it was very tasty and very generous. I had a piece of stuffed french toast which I declared to be the best I have ever had. This part of town is addicting and this little street contains a half dozen can't miss cozy little restaurants. You won't be disappointed and you can get in and out for under $25 a person.

Lazy service, mediocre food

By Eureka1965 |

Misleading drink specials and then it takes forever to get mimosas both times! Really, are they that hard to make? Waitress should have been on top of it. Plenty of time to write this because I'm still waiting for my bill. The environment can't compensate. So easy to fix these problems, but apparently no one cares.

Fun

By jyotsnadietrich |

Taverns up and down this historic street are all a lot of fun. We went to everyone of them. Well most of them and they are all outstanding... Fun, Great service. Super atmosphere. Not to miss. Even just for people watching...

Great Dinner and Brunch Food

By WKAMC2 |

Had a great Saturday brunch there. The biscuits and gravy are very good, which I did not expect this far north. Blueberry and Ricotta pancakes were light and fluffy and very good. The omelet connoisseur in the group said that the garden omelet was the best omelet she has ever had anywhere. Returned for dinner the next night. Three of ordered the lobster rolls which all really liked. The fourth ordered the steak frites; the hanger steak served was very tender and tasty. French fries were very good. Both meals were served promptly and hot. There is an order seating area that is available in good weather. This are is shared with several other close-by restaurants and offers a real party-like atmosphere.

European style street

By worldtourNyc |

We ate here last weekend on our last day in New York for brunch. Food was really good, I had a burger with an egg on it, and my wife had a french toast dish stuffed with blueberries and cheese. She loved it. Service was on point, never had to ask for anything.

Such a cool atmosphere and awesome food

By lindsey c |

I loved this place. It was just really fun and cozy and cool. I got the cubano sandwich which was soooo awesome. My friend just got sweet potato fries and those were great too. Highly recommend if you find yourself down in the financial district. Also Stone Street is a cool place to check out.

Quick lunch

By Laura T |

We stopped in here for a bite to eat after the 9/11 museum on the way to the Staten Island Ferry. The food was ok, nothing special. The service was not that great. Our waiter didn't check on us after the food was delivered & my club sandwich was wrong. Once we tracked him down he was apologetic & brought the correct sandwich. Once we got the correct food, it was good. I would probably try somewhere else next time we are down that way.

Good Buzz in Wall Street area.

By Peter V S |

A good spot to enjoy meeting friends. Good Beers, Good Food, Good Venue all round. Bar food menu. Clean and friendly

Beer & history

By gisellekoto |

We spent the day walking around downtown and needed a break and a beverage. We happened upon the historic Stone Street and decided to stop by this tavern for a casual beer and apps. It's your typical bar -- smells of beer and has sports on the TV. Beers were cold and good, and the appetizers hit the spot. We had guacamole and a hot pretzel. Loved the bit of history in the bathrooms (random) that said Stone Street was the oldest paved street in the city. Good to know!

Good food and wonderful ambiance

By Patty L |

Good food and wonderful ambiance. You feel like you are eating in Diagon Alley! Beautiful place to eat. They don't rush you out and let you relax with friends. We loved it.

Overpriced for mediocre

By M F |

Prices are too high for crap food. The service was ok. I should've gone to any of the neighboring bar restaurants.

Good lunch spot

By martynsnook |

Mainly a craft beer and ipa bar it has a good menu with various sandwiches, pastas and entrees. I had the tagliatelle ragu and my friend had the battered fish sandwich. Good pub feel to the place.

Tasty classics on NY's oldest street

By Ernesto |

Walking through the southern region of Manhattan I found the Stone Street Tavern, located on the oldest street in New York, first paved in 1658! Stone Street is a charming cobblestone street surrounded by historic buildings and lined with bars and restaurants in the heart of the Financial District. Transformed into a historic landmark, the street is a tourist attraction, giving us the feeling of being in a European city, far from the frenzy characteristic of New York. The restaurant is an authentic American pub, with TVs on and covered in wood, providing a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The menu To start, we chose a pretzel that came accompanied by an irresistible cheese sauce with dark beer. Curious to try an American classic, we chose the mac and cheese, prepared with roasted garlic béchamel and cheddar. The experience couldn't be better!

Good Simple Sunday Brunch

By Cindy M |

This restaurant is actually a pub (as the name implies), but I had an excellent breakfast on Sunday morning. They open at 11am and we sat outside in the quaint area. The menu is somewhat limited, but very well prepared. Two of us ordered breakfast quesadilla which was a cheese and jalapeño quesadilla with 2 fried eggs on top, served with guacamole and pico de gallo. The others ordered Hangover Hamburgers with 2 hour all you can drink specials. We were all very pleased with the service and with the food. It was served hot and timely. I will return to this restaurant.

Nice hamburger!!!!

By FabioMorana |

Simply one of the best hamburger I've ever eat. People friendly, good beer and even the place is quite good. Walking distance by my hotel, I went there twice. I'm going to eat again in this restaurant, very good experience.

Outside Seating but average food

By kah50442 |

Stone Street Tavern is on Stone Street and has outside seating. Our lunch was Asian Chicken Salad and Hanger Steak Salad. The price a bit high but it's NYC. It was okay food wise. The best part is sitting outside watching the people. A good question is "Would I return?" Probably not.

Birthday Brunch

By kennethgreene7 |

spent Fourth of July weekend in the Financial district of New York City and if you are looking for a great place to have your Sunday Brunch The Stone Street Tavern is it the food os prepared fresh and the service is great we had the avocado toast with salmon and The egg with salmon on an english muffin and Hollandaise sauce the prices are just right here too!

Excellent service

By 182Patty100 |

We went there on a Friday afternoon in July......very busy however the hostess, wait staff were wonderful! We had the fish and chips.....large portions and delicious. The location was perfect....historic section of town.

Decent drinks and pub food

By Stefan C |

Stopped in because it was near our hotel and we were looking for a place to have a drink before dinner. Decided the menu looked good and that we would stay for dinner. Worked out all right. The burger was a bit above average for a pub, and my companions seemed to enjoy their food. It also is nicely located on a lively street filled with restaurants -- not office buildings and construction sites like the rest of the rabbit warren that is the financial district.

very nice!!

By amitra1 |

Ducked in here on a rainy afternoon with some tourist relatives. We tried the angus burger, quessedillas and chicken sandwich. the food was very good and the service was good. Will be back.

Delicious salads

By gaileyb |

Went there for lunch and was able to sit outside in the nice weather. The menu had a lot of choices. We all tried different salads and each one was good but do recommend adding shrimp if you need a little something extra to make sure you leave full. Note that my friend had a sandwich and we all devoured the French fries... Cooked to perfection.

One of my favorite spots on the historic Stone Street

By Grace Annette C Y |

I have been dining at Stone Street Tavern for years. It’s on a historic block with cobblestones and lots of other pubs. Drinks and food are very decent for a pub. Servers are all very friendly and pleasant. The beer flight, the wines and the cocktails are fun. The pub food there is classic and is on the cleaner healthier side. I like their small bites and their salads and fish dishes while my family and friends like their burgers.

Steps away from the Staten Island Ferry

By Kelsie05 |

My friend and I were looking for a place ot eat near the Staten Island Ferry. The street was blocked off and tables filled the area. I had the manicotti and my friend had a nice large salad. Service was excellent and food was very good--very fresh tasting.

Excellent location - great salad

By MrNotty |

Stone Street is a cobbled historic street in the Financial District. Great location if you are walking from 9/11 memorial through this area. If you are lucky with the weather you can sit outside on the tables which take over the street. The Tavern was busy and we had to wait but it was worth it. We wanted a salad and they were excellent and good value. The service was spot on and friendly. I wanted to Skype my children back home but the free wifi was too weak where we were sitting. The waitress kindly logged me into the office wifi which was thoughtful.

Nice pub with good service

By OnTravelsAgain |

We ate dinner here one might. The food was very good, however the beer selection was limited to mainly European brews with most being very strong. When I visit nyc, I'd prefer US brews.

Dinner and Drinks

By 430kippk |

We went to the Stone Street Tavern after a meeting for dinner and drinks. The food was very good and reasonable for New York City. The drinks were also excellent. Great atmosphere and staff was great.

Nice historic bar & restaurant with outdoor street seating.

By Harpo208 |

Our party of 8 spent several hours trying the many craft beers ,cocktails and appetizer's . We were there on a Saturday afternoon and Stone Street was very busy. Fun place to visit while in the Wall Street area.

Highly Recommend

By Carlin M |

Cool atmosphere! We walked in and were immediately seated. There were lots of t.v.'s with all different games on. Perfect for sports fans! The food was delicious and the presentation was different and artistic. Lots of beer and interesting drinks to choose from. I'll definitely hang out there when I'm downtown!

Average food, terrible service, and a very slow bar.

By JGallagher28 |

Food here is average at best and they were are "out" of several things on the menu. Getting drinks from the bar took a minimum of 20 minutes each round, and the waitress was horrifically slow.
