Gem of a find in Midtown NYC

By Caroline H |

Convenient for our hotel and Grand Central rail lines and subways but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Park Avenue. We were pleased to stumble across this little gem of a pub. And it was a proper pub. We were welcomed with genuine warmth by one of the (genuinely) Irish bartenders, sat at the bar and enjoyed the craic. Plenty of sports on TVs throughout the bar and a pleasant buzzy atmosphere without being overly loud. We enjoyed that first visit so much we adopted the venue as our "local" for the duration of our NYC stay, dropping in for a drink after each day of pavement pounding exploration. Different staff, all as equally friendly and nice as the first, we eventually worked our way through the shifts and started getting "welcome back". Sitting chatting with the locals, and a lone out-of-town lady, made us feel like real New Yorkers! Real safe vibes for two female travelers. Our farewell drink was on the house and much appreciated - their "shots" however are much larger than we're used to! We didn't use the restaurant but did have some bar food - Country Buttermilk Fried Chicken Fingers and Chicken & Vegetable Potstickers. Very tasty, served hot. Our usual drink was an imported Pinot Grigio, overall reasonably priced compared to other NY venues. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return. Ashamed to admit we didn't get anyone's name but literally every member of staff we encountered gave superb service.

Stout - A better Irish bar than the Irish bar!

By Nick and Angel S |

We visited Stout for drinks and the friendly bar service encouraged us to make a second visit for food! The Grilled chicken sandwich was very tasty and impressively full filled (see photos). Stout has the edge on the Irish Bar (7th Avenue) in terms of the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service! We would definitely return for a third time. Tip - if you tell the bar staff the type of ale/beer/lager you like they will offer you samples from their draft selection to ensure you get a drink that you really enjoy!

A few meters from Grand Central Station

By Fabrizio C |

Tried it by chance while we were waiting to go up to Summit One Vanderbilt, it turned out to be a splendid discovery. A place frequented by New Yorkers who prefer it for the possibility of following sporting events on the big screens in the rooms, very nice and with very friendly staff. Very quick service, we entered without a reservation and they seated us immediately. Excellent quality of food, very honest prices: sandwich, chips and drinks 30 dollars each including 20% tip.

Cool pub

By OJS3 |

Visited for a farewell and hD drinks and apps. All the apps were good and the drinks had a kick to it. Orders a round of green tea shifts and the bartender made them to perfection! Definitely would recommend, does get quite busy after work.

Not a bad late night option!

By Anatoly K |

Originally, we wanted to have a late dinner at the Pershing Square, but those guys close kitchen at 10pm. They kindly advised us the Stout, which turned to be a great option! Proving the name they serve Guinness and some other draft beers. Cocktail selection was limited. Typical American pub menu with burgers, wings, sausages and crispy rings. Crab cake burger was on top! Wurst burger was not bad at all. Wings were rather dry. Service was relaxed but friendly. And thanks for keeping the kitchen open until after Broadway shows end!

Great beer and staff

By mrfuzzface |

Been here many times after work when visting NY office. It gets busy, but has room to cope. Great beer....seriously impressive selection. Great service too. Food is your typical NY wings n pretzel, and it helps absorb that great beer. Did i mention the great beer? Awesome beer. Beer lovers will be happy. Even wierdy beerdy beer hopsters. No idea on wine. Dont come here on a date. Come here to drink beer.

Get together with former work colleagues

By KPS426 |

We went here because of convenience to Grand Central Terminal and midtown location, wide selection of beer and spirits and quick service with pub type food. It was busy but we got seated and we had 9 people. Service was very good. The background was a little loud but upon hearing that we were looking to catch up, the host(hostess) got us a table in a little quieter area. The food and beverages were all tasty and reasonably priced, especially for the location. We all left feeling that we enjoyed the evening all around.

good pit stop

By Anthony W |

Stopped in as we were staying next door and just got to our hotel. The portions were very large, so you definatly get your moneys worth. THe loaded fried were good, just would have been nice if they were hot when we got them. My steak sandwich was ok, not cooked how I asked it. Again, something we would have said to waiter, but we never saw him after placing our original order, until we finally spotted him and flagged him down to get a check. All in all, I would probably try them again as it seemed like a decent affordable spot.

Nice place for a beer and appetizers.

By ronjo81 |

The staff were excellent. Vax cards required, thankfully. Nice atmosphere. Right around corner from Grand Central and the library is just up the block. Our server was very nice. Fish tacos and calamari was good.

Late dinner on!

By Maylou70 |

We had just missed dinner at Pershing Square because we arrived at closing time (10pm) and they referred us over to Stout around the corner. Really nice atmosphere and really tasty food! It hit the spot.

So-so lunch

By Ilya V |

Was at NYC for two days, and needed to grab something to eat at lunch hour. Place looks spacious and got good location by Grand Central station. Beer selection is not great, too many local/ipa stuff and prices are higher, Stout by MSG used to have much better selection. Wings are good, burger had very little taste, felt like they threw frozen patty on the grill and cooked, being cooked medium had almost no juice in it. Beer is overpriced

We went to see the Super Bowl

By Tambalini |

We went to see the Super Bowl there. Stout accommodates large groups and the attentive staff took care of us very well. Their menu offers a lot of variety and what we ordered tasted great! Their offered a ton of beers and whiskies! Highly recommend Stout Grand Central for large groups that want to laugh and not be shy of having a lot of conversation. Have fun!!

Good Sports Bar

By Tony Kilburn |

Next door to our hotel this bar was handy. Friendly staff, great range of drinks and a good environment. Spent a couple of evenings in there relaxing after a full day’s sightseeing.

Lunch with old friends.

By Michael C |

Surprised at how big the space was. Friendly staff, non rushed. Large selection of beverages, and many items to choose from on the menu. Very busy for a rainy Tuesday, a good sign for NYC. Although my order was served not as I ordered it, it was promptly replaced with no questions. It's your typical Irish pub in NYC.

Great lunch spot

By windswept361 |

Stopped in at Stout NYC Grand Central for lunch with my wife. Service was quick, facility was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the Wisconsin Style thin crust pizza. Prices were reasonable - especially for NYC.

After work drinks near Grand Central

By Ntrekker |

We attended a cocktail event here after work. Nice decor and rich interiors. The second floor bar is great for private events. Good bar where you can also have a conversation.

Business Lunch

By Steve F |

Great spot to grab a lunch in the Grand central area or a quick pint before heading to the train. Sandwiches are great and there is always a lively crowd

Truly awesome beers and really great food...this time with perfect service!

By Leo M |

On a day with the temps climbing above 90 in midtown I wondered where to get lunch. Then it hit me - I don't actually HAVE to order stout. So... I headed over to Stout NYC and ordered a wonderful (albeit bottled) German Weiss - absolutely perfect for the heat. And paired it with the Grilled NY Strip Steak Sandwich - one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever eaten. The strip was thick enough to enjoy as a steak yet thin enough to eat as a sandwich, the baguette was crunchy wonderfulness, and the 'goes with' - onion strings, sharp cheese, arugula, and chimichurri - all combined to make a truly delicious sandwich. But this time I ate at the bar and the service from the bartender was perfect.

Fun place for drinks!

By Ohio-traveler565 |

We had been out and about all day, and wanted somewhere to grab a beer and appetizer. We had just wandered through Grand Central (some friends we were with had NEVER see it), and this was handy. Good beer selection, and had some tasty appetizers as well. Not crowded on a Sunday late afternoon, so perfect to relax and chat.

Sorry we didn't find it sooner

By Terry B |

Excellent food and drinks with staff only too wiling to help. As stated my only regret was not finding it sooner.

good selections

By SeaKayak25 |

A large selection of import and domestic beers, and if you like beers, then you will not be disappointed. Good atmosphere and good service.

good bar close to Grand Central

By schmidtmg |

Had drinks and dinner at Stout's after a long day, and even though the place was packed and fairly noisy on a weekday late evening, I had a good time and could relax. The (craft) beers on tap are very good, staff is friendly, and the food is generally good. I had the fried calamari and they were very decent.

A great bar.

By grillock |

Myself and the wife visited this place a number of times during our stay in Jan, its a great place for a few beers and a bite to eat, John and PJ will look after you !

Good food, and very convenient to Grand Central, but...

By Chris E |

We went here because we needed a place very close by to our hotel, plus wanted some familiar comfort foods. We were not disappointed at all with the convenience or the taste of our food. However, it was quite pricey for what we got (loaded fries, a burger, and a plate of sliders). This, mostly likely due to the fact that Stout charges *per ingredient* on the burgers and sliders - yes, even for a piece of cheese. The other thing is that the staff were friendly, but unfortunately showed subpar attentiveness. We actively had to flag down staff for refills, a missing item from our order, and then the bill.

Good Irish bar

By martynsnook |

Large bar good for groups. Good after work hangout. Head upstairs to get away from the crowds. Plenty of bar space. Easy to get served.

Large Group 30th Birthday!!

By Joshua B |

Perfect place to celebrate turning 30!!! We had a large group of around 20 people - they gladly reserved us an area of high tables and bar stools without needing any deposit or minimum spend. They held my card when we arrived but allowed us to pay on a separate card at the end. We had a dedicated server for our time there and she was fantastic. We didn’t eat but everyone was very happy with the cocktails, beers and wine! Great vibe playing current pop/dance music and generally just a perfect venue for a fun, group celebration.

Good pub, misleading name

By Duckers |

Without paying appropriate attention to my invite, I tried to find thing pub in Grand Central, which it isn't. It's more Pershing Square than Grand Central. Poetic licence in naming aside, it's a nice pub with decent food and good service. I'd go again, particularly now I know where it is!

OK bar

By Magnus_sk |

Stopped here for a drink one evening. Seemed like an OK bar, and also seemed to be a popular bar for after work drinks.

Cool

By effzeh2017 |

Great Beer great staff and great ambiente.Everything was allright, i have had a great final evening there after 1 week in NYC.

Drinks and food - cool dinner

By dorongol |

I went for dinner&drink with a friend, and once on my own just for a quick drink - very nice place, seems like they have plenty of regulars, which shows its a place people return when they can - and for a good reason. The waitress was friendly, the food was great and some sports events were on several screens around us.

Good food

By ronin308 |

I had a business lunch here with a few team members. The menu had a good selection of items giving you a good choice. The food was fresh and good tasting. Would love to come back and sample some beer.

Good after work bar

By martynsnook |

Right near grand central this is a large bar with all the usual beers and bar snacks with plenty of tvs for sport. Head upstairs for a slightly quieter atmosphere.

Good location for a quick and good lunch

By GaiusOctavius04 |

We went here just to have a quick lunch. We got a table without reservation. The service was very friendly. We had a burger which came quickly. The taste was very good. It wasn't that noisy like in other restaurants so that we could talk easily. In addition the table are not that close to each other so that we could talk openly. Definitely, a good place for a lunch with a colleague.

Great Stop for a Beer Waiting for a Train

By David G |

Visited Stout with coworkers on a week night after dinner. This place was crowded. Very large bar area with lots of guys working behind the bar. Full of people after work and maybe waiting for trains as Grand Central is right across the street. Actually getting up to the bar can be tough but once you do service is quick.

Great beer

By Suren R |

Next to the Dylan, so that was very convenient. Very pleasant, nice crowd, great food, greater beer, very cool bartenders. Anyone will enjoy getting drunk there.

Fabulous weekday lunch spot

By Leo M |

I found myself in midtown for lunch a few days ago, thought I would give Stout a try, and was very, very happy I did. They have a great selection of stouts (and other beers) on tap as well as more choices available by the bottle. I went for Victory's Storm King Stout - the first time I've had it on tap - and it was awesome. I also had the sandwich lunch special which was delicious - two huge hunks of crispy fried chicken with slaw, maple cheddar, and jalapenos, served with tasty fries and a sriracha aioli. It was enormous...I ate half the sandwich and about half the fries. I sat at the bar and the service was great - the bartender was friendly and efficient and even gave me a taste of their IPA special of the day (too tame for my taste...thus the stout). The decor is basically midscale gastropub - nothing special but nothing amiss. I did note that there were both bright and dark sections of the bar and tables so you could choose your preferred lighting level (which is nice). All in all a fabulous place for lunch - I'll definitely be back.

Great place!

By KaPvacay |

We called in for a nightcap and found a bustling lively pub tucked behind Pershing Sq Plaza. The atmosphere was great as were the drinks. Very friendly bar staff and waitresses. A real “after work” culture, perfectly located near GCS. A fun place for drinks!

Still can't get over 4 prawns!

By Fiona186534 |

Shrimp cocktail $16 the sign screeches at you. I wasn't particularly hungry so I thought a prawn cocktail, OK Shrimp Cocktail if you must, would keep me going. Being a Brit I expected a bed of lettuce, lots of luscious prawns and a big dollop of Marie-rose sauce. What I got...was a bowl of ice and 4 'shrimps' sticking out of it and a teeny wee bowl of ketchup! I don't think there's any difference between ketchup and cocktail sauce! Worst meal in New York!

Good spot near GCS

By MG3 |

Wasn't the greatest, but also wasn't too bad for what it is. Went to catch an NBA game and it was fairly busy with the business crowd. One of the female bartenders was really sour for some reason, so that hindered my experience a little bit. Right when I sat down she gave me odd looks and just generally seemed like she didn't want to be there. The big Male bartender with the beard however was amazing! He made my night so much better and was helpful with drink orders and prompt on my dinner order. Awesome dude! The bar was pretty big and had a good selection of both imported and local beers on tap. Ample TV screens around it and some booth and table seating as well. I had the Artichoke and spinach dip, which was very good and a tall pint of Guinness. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening

Football, food and atmosphere!

By TheMacsfiveplus1 |

We had a party of 16 and called for a reservation. No problem getting a reservation. They just let us know what time our table was booked for already later for an end time. Honesty is a plus. This still allowed more time than needed. We did realize once in the restaurant why they let us know. Lots of tables staying long periods of time watching the football games. This place has a great decor and very clean. Lots of TV’s with all the football games playing. Server was good. Food was also very good. No complaints from anyone. Steps to an upper level. Not sure if they use that. Convenient to Grand Central station. Great to eat when you arrive or if you are on the way home, What a great find!

Good beers, great food

By Barry H |

First trip to NY, surprised to find guest ales from the UK as well as (of course) Guinness. Dropped in for a beer but ended up staying for light dinner - the fish and chips were as good as any you'd find in the UK. Very friendly staff, bar tender was from Dublin, had a very easy manner, let me taste beers before buying. Will be returning for my last lunch in NY tomorrow. Highly recommended for an inexpensive but satisfying meal.

A good location for a group of 10 or so for drinks after work

By Alan304 |

The location is convenient, very close to Grand Central Station. The upstairs bar area can accommodate groups. The beer selection is well curated and varied. Overall, a good option the midtown area.

varying

By skeeter68 |

We were staying very close by and thought we would go here on our first night as a bit tired after being up for 20hrs and just wanted some appetisers and a drink. The service and food were really good, this was the night before St Patrick's day,the place was very busy. We decided to return on a Saturday and thought it would be busy,it was very quiet,1 big table who had nearly finished and a few odd other tables occupied. The service was totally different, the food was ok,seeing as it was so quiet you would think someone would notice your empty glasses rather than you having to keep asking, even after the large group left it didn't improve. On our last day I thought I would try a drink advertised on the outside chalkboard as a local brew IPA.Instead I was brought another drink, as that one was not being served,we did think it odd not to have been asked first, the server was polite and the food again ok. Would we return, maybe but not as a must go to visit bar, I would rather walk 5-10 mins away to some of the other bars that we went to.

Fantastic service

By Theplusminus |

Landed in NY transferred to a hotel in the area and just looking for a quick bite whilst we adjust time zones. Excellent waiter, very patient as we adjusted to the US way of ordering. I sampled the excellent selection of local beers, my wife had wine. Ordered burgers which were very good. Thoroughly recommend as an inexpensive eat.

Excellent first meal in NYC

By AMF2662 |

This was our first stop after we arrived and was recommended by our hotel, and it was definitely a hit! Had a huge burger and local ale, burger was delicious, price was as expected, service was great, atmosphere was fantastic. Would definitely eat here again.

Truly awesome beers, good service, and really great food

By Leo M |

My #1 favorite reason for coming here is in the name - Stout. This time I had a Delirium Tremens on tap which was pure awesomeness. But a judicious reading of the menu can reveal some great choices on the food side as well and the Grilled NY Strip Steak Sandwich (rare) was one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever eaten. The strip was thick enough to enjoy as a steak yet thin enough to eat as a sandwich, the baguette was crunchy wonderfulness, and the 'goes with' - sharp cheese, arugula, and chimichurri - all combined to make a truly delicious dinner. Admittedly, I've never tried to come here on a weekend or when there is a big NYC sports event but I've found the service to be quite good. The decor is basically midgrade gastropub - nothing special but nothing amiss. I do note that there are both bright and dark sections of the bar so you can choose your preferred lighting level (which is nice).

Excellent food in a really nice atmosphere. Geidy was our server and she made our time here great! We will be back!

Superb beers and excellent food

By GlenOrd |

On our recent trip to New York my wife and I ate our first evening meal here after my wife had seen it recommended when she was reviewing places near our hotel. The service was excellent and the vibe in the bar on a busy Friday afternoon evening was great. I sampled a flight of dark ales which were outstanding with my favourites being Left Hand Milk stout and the Sweet Baby Jesus chocolate and peanut butter porter. I had the Stout Ribs which we're gorgeous, very tasty and meat just dropping of the ribs. Will definitely return if time permits. One minor thing to watch out for is how quickly the main course is served following starter. Too quick for us but this seems to happen a lot in the US. Therefore my tip of the day would be to order a starter only and then the mains when you're ready as the food is made really quickly from order. Overall really impressed

Top Pub

By chmarsh |

If you are looking for a good pub with excellent food look no more. The "Stout" on E 41st Street is GREAT, staying literally right next door at the "Dylan" hotel made this pub perfect. Service and staff were great and the ribs, well try them!

Good atmosphere

By Tat C |

Comfortable place to drink beer and listening good music. The place is spacious and can accommodate large groups.

Great place

By Lyonsk3 |

Great spot, great decor, food is delicious and service is excellent. Would recommend. Steak sandwich was delicious. Great selection of beers too.

Stout is an Average Joe

By triplovernj |

We were excited just by the name as I am a stout and porter lover. There were a few selections but I have seen a better draft menu at our local pubs. Ordered a bottle and it came in a can! Food was so-so. Staff was good.

Holiday party

By OJS3 |

Visited yesterday with my department for holiday celebration. A total of 22 of us and the service was great, we had the entire upstairs and couldn't have asked for better waitstaff. Food choices were also tasty, chicken tenders, sliders. Any drink request he bar staff were very accommodating.

Irish bartender and customers

By KeoPAloha |

I dropped by here at the rec of the guy at the front desk of my hotel, and I'm glad I did. Stout GC is on 41st b/t Madison & Park. Its an Irish bar w/ at least one Irish bartender, and a few Irish clients. They have another location by Madison Square Garden. We had a couple of Guinness' ($8.50) and a couple of Oktoberfests from Brooklyn Brewing. The latter is an IPA, but not too hoppy. Both beers were a great way to start the evening: 4 Stars. We also had some wings ($12 | 8 pieces). We asked for medium heat, but the wings were light on the heat. In addition, wings 5-8 were kinda cool from perhaps being cooked beforehand. Nonetheless, they were meaty: 3 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, it was lit on a Mon night in Oct. Baseball playoffs were on and bar seats were at a premium: 4 Stars. Likewise, the service from Robert (the Irish bartender), was very good. He was attentive and made sure he gave us some wipes to keep our hands clean: 4 Stars I'd definitely come back to start the evening and have a snack. The prices are reasonable, the food is OK, and the service is very good.

Basic food, poor service

By Michele S |

Are there with my daughter after leaving Grand Central Station. Pros: open late, good location and good options. Cons: was told I had to order from app by server, which had a different (lesser) menu than the one provided by host, other patrons weren't ordering through the app, other patrons were provided water by server- we weren't. Buffalo wings were tasty, chicken fingers were akin to a frozen product you'd serve in a daycare.

Nice Pub

By Kenneth G |

Stout is a very nice Irish Pub. It has a great selection of beer and very good food. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is fun. Gets a bit crowded after work.

Quick Service, Great Atmosphere

By stephen g |

Went here for dinner before a show. It was very nice, we met someone there who was able to save us some seats at the Bar. Granted we were here early on a Saturday night, but it was still quite easy to get something to eat and get noticed. The food was excellent, the service was quick and attentive.

Good after work place right by Grand Central

By Todd S |

This is good Irish sister bar to the original Stout that is right by Penn and MSG. This has a nice build out and is cool and dark but still feels comfy. Big after work crowd. I’m sure it’s quiet on weekends. Quality food, but pricey drinks and no true New Yorkers would be locals here.

Wanna see a game?

By Micheltravel |

large pub close to Grand Central. Typical pub food, reasonable priced, good quality. Lots of beers as youy will imagine and lots of tv screens. i was there on a quite night, pretty sure this place is ok when things get heated

Nice Irish Pub

By Kenneth G |

This is a terrific Irish Pub with a large bar and two floors. Excellent beer selection. Very good food and very friendly service. It gets very crowded after work so be careful, but crowd dies down eventually. Great for watching sports.

Good bar

By gorlinjay |

Good lunch venue near Grand Central. Great beer selection . Chicken pot pie a good lunch choice. Dough flakey and sauce just right . Service fast and courteous. A good lunch choice

Great late night visit

By Matt D |

Great experience tonight. I came after a show with my family. Travis was our server and he did a great job. Both the food and drinks came very quickly. They were both delicious too. I would definitely return.

Nice place.

By Isabelle L |

Nice wooden place, nice service, perfectly decent Award a few blocks from Broadway. It’s worth walking away from Appetizers, as often in the US, are already almost a dish Tables, seats at the counter if you are 21 years old and some tables on the street very nice because it is quiet

Perfect for Grand Central

By Michael W |

Train times on the monitor and great atmosphere. Definitely the place to stop off at before heading home on the train. Really nice bar staff and a good selection of beers.

Quick bite & a Bud - Great Location

By Travel Man |

We visited for a quick bite to eat and a recharge before doing the local sights (grand central station, Bryant Park, Chrysler building and Times Square) all within walking distance. We had the buffalo wings, chicken fingers and loaded fries. The food was fast, hot and very tasty. For the 3 BIG PLATES a bud and a coke it was $45

large bar with a lot of selection

By Ramon A |

As far as bars go this place is big with a large beer variety, really good draft beer selections. It is noisy, hard to get a spot sometimes and even harder to get the attention of a bartender because it is soo busy. This place doesn't seem to be a tourist trap type, it is geared more towards the business regulars that come in with their suit and ties, so a much more mellow crowd.

Great find

By espressomartini1979 (dyslexic explorer) |

After a full day of sightseeing Stout was the best find of the day. Spent a few hours sat at the bar. Great Irish coffee, beers and fig & walnut old fashioned.. yes I did have them all and several of.. Great service & atmosphere.. would recommend and be back.

Standard Bar Food

By Cojabnga |

Joined my colleagues for drinks and we ended up ordering dinner. Food was average bar food...wings, sliders, etc. The sliders had a lot of bread but the meat was well seasoned and cooked nicely. If you want a quick drink and snack this is a good place. Not the best for holding a conversation as it was very loud.

Friendly and accommodating

By Judith A |

We stopped in hungry after a long bus ride, dragging our luggage behind us. The helpful staff found a table where we could comfortably stash our bags while relaxing over a delicious lunch. My blackened salmon salad was not only delicious but more than adequate to serve as dinner as well.

A Place For Drinks Across From GCS

By NeedPivo |

We had just left Grand Central Station - it's really a terminal - when the heaven opened up and the rain came pouring down. Fortunately, we saw the "Stout" sign beckoning and we went in. It is a large and crowded sports bar with a large bar in the middle. Outside of the large selection of craft beer, Stout offers an extensive selection of bottled stouts. I chose a Left Hand Milk Stout and my girlfriend opted for Guinness. Nicely poured and in conjunction with some hearty pub grub, this made for a pleasant haven from the chilly rain of January. It is right across the street from the aforementioned station, so check it out.

Proper Pub

By Charlie L |

Came a couple of times for drinks as this is the nearest bar to the Dylan Hotel which doesn't have one. Good atmosphere, was always busy, and good service.

Awful Service

By publove89 |

This place is a very busy bar but it does not excuse for dealing with some of the most clueless bartenders here. Me and my husband waited forever for someone to take our order. Then after hours some male bartender took our order and never gave us what we wanted. Instead saw him chatting it up with another customer while we just kept waiting. Eventually we left and went somewhere else where they actually took care of us.

Under the expectations

By IEBO |

I trusted the good reviews but I would say that they do not correspond to reality. A normal pub, with a limited choice of beer. The food is nothing special, by the way I ordered wings without sauce for my son and they arrived spicy. Not worth the price.

Very good spot

By CecibelB |

Located near grand central in midtown. Ample entrance and great lay out of space and decor. Irish bar with enough bar food choices some of them with a healthy kick. There is always burgers and fried. Very good variety of drinks for those who drink beer/ craft beer etc. Some cocktails and wine. It gets packed during happy hour but on s Sunday evening is quite like the area.

nice pub

By Kangaroo60 |

Great place service is pretty good food was great ate twice not one complaint the starters as a little mini buffet are spot on while watching the football with a pint of Boddingtons

Nice lrish Pub

By Ken G |

Stout is well located in Midtown near Grand Central Terminal. It has a great selection of beers. The food is very good and the service friendly. Nice time. But be cautious as it can get crowded with the after work crowd, especially on Thursday and Friday.

After work

By flatfootfoodie |

Pretty cool after work happy hour, but the place gets packed quick, so plan to be there early. The bar food is what one would expect from a nyc mid town bar. If in the area, this is a good spot for cocktails.

Happy hour near Grand Central

By Willem K |

We had drinks and snacks here with colleagues. Had been working within a few blocks, but somehow missed that it was there. Good menu of drinks, and friendly, yellow-brown pub-like atmosphere.

Very Cool Pub

By MikeyMackTravels |

Stopped into Stout for lunch while in NYC for meetings. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was good. Had bacon wrapped shrimp. Very good service. Big range of beers and cocktails. Large place that would hold big groups.
