Travelled from Manhattan to Brooklyn in very little time and walked back over the bridge the best way to see Manhattan. I would suggest buying a days pass to get around. There are loads of people in the underground so found it safe but didn't travel at night.

even though I am not from NY the way around is so easy, People will help you and make sure you don't get lost

Worst se vice I have ever received at a subway. I employee did not want to service us, we were he only ones In there and she was very rude.

Used as our breakfast stop before touring in NY ..great variety and very reasonable pricing.Coffee was fresh food was hot,staff where friendly ..Washrooms where clean.

It was a busy place, however the staff was not friendly and seemed they did not know their job or did not speak English. Despite telling them what I want in my sandwich twice they made mistakes. Will not go to this location again

Great service and good food that did the job for a quick lunch. We were always served quickly and with a smile. The shop was a bit small for such a busy place.

We had several sandwiches from Subway further upstate and in other NYC locations, but the one here was the worst. Indifferent staff talking on the phone while preparing the sandwiches, thin layer of ingredients... not a place to come back to.

Not like the tube, they have shops & all sorts, easy to get around when you understand it, though when you put your card through the machine walk quickly through the barrier or your card become void.

Same experience we are used to at home and fast which is just what we needed after a day in Central Park and before our evening show.

I ordered a 6 inch sandwich, and the lady making the sandwich was just busy chatting on her phone. She didn't even pay much attention to my requests. And she kept talking in another language on the phone. I find that to be very impolite. Also as she talking, I am not sure if she is spilling saliva onto the food. Just not too hygenic. I will not go back.

Once you get the hang of it , it's a cheap and fun way to get around New York. Actually clean and never felt in danger in the areas we visited from Broadway down to Wall Street etc.

Have to say it wasn't as nice as the ones I get at home expected it to be better but was dissapointed

Great food great price, only complaint is they do not listen, or they choose to ignor simple requests. i asked for my chicken meat to be heated twice the normal time. Both times he didn't do it. Other than that really good and the Hot Chocolate was nice as well.

Having visited and used the subway before I had no hesitation however my friend was reluctant. She is now reformed, it's a great way to get round

Great place to eat! The staff is very qualified and polite and the food is with the same quality every time. I go there every time I can.

I liked this kind of travelling. The station just beside the hotel. Cheap, buy 1-week ticket. No disturbances at all concerning cars and clients

Easy fast food, salads are great. Great way to save money on restaurants during an otherwise expensive visit to NYC.

For a start, they couldn't speak English, never heard of buttering bread and wanted to slap mayonnaise over everything. Managed to get the bloke to make me a ham and tomato sandwich on Italian Bread. He then said $10 . "10 bucks for a sandwich?? You can do one chum", I shouted at him as I headed towards the door. It's amazing how quickly the price came down.. Shouldn't have to do this in a sandwich shop.

This place is clean - The service is quick and friendly - affordable and healthy - I am always up for a subway salad - But the smell of fresh baked bread almost made me take a walk on the wild side : - )

Service was friendly but surprisingly toast was not roasted but warmed in micro oven. This was first time ever happening to me.

Located across from Park Center hotel, its a Subway, although small. The two person staff was good, they honored my coupon: BOGO classic 6 inch sub W/ 21 oz. drink. I got a 6 in.cold cut flatbread, plus a 2nd, and a sprite.

You can always count the quality of Starbugs ! Nice staff and nice place overall.Even kids are liked in there.

Buy a top up card. Four people can travel on one card. Saves time. Subway stations have free wifi. Very hoy whilst waiting at station but carriages have air con.

NYC subway - cleaner than I expected, easier than I expected. Lots of families and students. No problem. BUy an unlimited metro card. Ride as many times as you need for $40. Whole families can ride on one card. Easy to understand. Plenty of signage. We had no problem finding a seat. Rode the subway all over NYC.

Not what I expected. Easy to get tickets. Felt quite safe as a group. Travelled at rush hour so lots of people about. Not sure I would recommend after 10pm.

We were starving so we decided to grab a sandwich. No matter where you travel, they will all be the same-quite average. I'm not sure why they are popular and how they can manage to get the taste out of the sandwich. There are so many other great places to eat. What was I thinking!

Portions of ingredients skimpy. Food tastes similar to every other Subway. Convenient location to where we were going . We were hungry, so we stop. One Subway seems like another. However, staff was accommodating and polite.

I went in one night and waited long enough to have had my sandwich made before I saw anyone. The guy felt bad, so I don't know what he was doing in back, but don't come here in a hurry.

We were in a hurry so we chose Subway. It was a great choice. Fast, healthy, and fresh. The restaurant we picked didn't have a sitting area but we went back to our hotel and ate our lunch!

Our granddaughter & her group wanted to go on 🚊 subway but couldn't so settled for a sandwich normal food, no place to sit, fast food to take with

It is always a great choice. It's also healthy, and fresh. I just wish the size of this restaurant would be bigger.

Circumvented by high price deli shops, Subway offers good sandwiches for $ 5. Consistent quality all over the world. This place is take away only.

The subway system in NYC is easy, reliable, and affordable. We traveled from 53rd & 7th Ave via the Blue Line to Ground Zero and arrived in just a few minutes. The drop-off point was just steps to the memorial site.

i like it .. fresh and nice .. clean for sure ... and no long wait to get your food .. just wish if the size of the restaurant is bigger

It is a very small place across from Park Center hotel open late for late snack..No place to sit you have to order to go plus it was not fresh.

I really like to go by subway in NYC. It´s easy and fast, just few steps from the Park Central Hotel, or other ones nearby. The mosaic at the stations are great also and always you can listen to musicians.

Was short chanaged! Awful staff, Smug faces. Subs were horriable. Dont care for Veggi/Vegan like the UK or other Subways in the USA. They would speak in a different language and look and laugh! Awful and Appaling service no wonder no one was in there!!

If you don't have a lot of luggage this is the cheapest way to get there and back from the airport. Just be aware you have to know which way your going before entering the subway.

You get coffee at any hour in this subway. staff is very freindly. For a small unit we were skeptical but had a full range to offer.

Well, it is NYC. And it is old. And it is crowd. Well, I would stay away if I could. I work for Vancouver transportation and know how difficult to serve a public in this area. But we don't have so much trash on the rails, they need to clean them regularly. And as results - rats are wondering on the tracks.

Just don't do it.. it is terrible. The guys and girls working there are messing around constantly, no manners and the quality of the food for a Subway is terrible. I really would not recommend anyone eating here.

Went here a couple of times at night for a Coke as the weather was very warm. Was met by a small woman with a face like a melted wellie that really didn't want to be at work. On our second visit, the same woman was there staring into space like she was contemplating how long she could hold her breath if she put her head in the oven. Our third visit was a different time of the day. Same woman. Started to wonder if she was the only one that worked there. That would certainly explain why she was so miserable all the time. I would if I spent 24 hours a day in a Subway. Anyway, the coke was lovely.

I certainly would recommend this place. The soups are most hot and nourishing. And as for the sandwiches, the bread is fresh, and the filling is great, and plentiful, and varied, having a wide range to choose from. Finally, I found the staff to be polite and courteous throughout my orders, and nothing was too much trouble when approached. I recommend you pay a visit , and you certainly will endorse my comments.

The sandwich that I ordered had the main part of it left out. The member of staff serving me was rude.

The Map was quite clear about how to plan a route. I wish, though, that the trains were always marked with a destination; once or twice I wasn't sure whether I was at a west-bound or east-bound platform.

Study it before getting on it, we ended up in brooklyn which was very scary, but very good value for money it did remind me of the film with john Travolta pelham 123

Well this was very close to hotel , easy access. lovely hot rolls with fillings easy to just eat on the street.

A great way to get around New York, very fast and efficient a bit daunting at first but once you get your head around it, it is brilliant, goes at some speed to, Just like you see in the movies.

Took the train from JFK to Park Central Hotel - next time take luggage with wheels - was a great ride in - many people in own world with headsets but had several conversations and help from New Yorkers for directions - The E train was super clean and smooth - was just a little tricky to get a pass but lots of helpful transit workers to shed light on it

The only thing that slightly lowered the marks was that they had ran out of the bread I usually have and got my order wrong at first, but once corrected, It was nice.

Confusing with all the different subways for new comers. Even map is not that helpful. Got app but same as map. People on subway very helpful when they see you trying to figure out your destination. Some subway construction on weekends so check schedule closely! Absolutely great way to get around but walking to connecting subways requires.

For a very fast, but made to order meal, it’s always a safe bet to get it here. The taste and quality is the same everywhere.

Lots of convenient entrances close to everywhere you're going in New York City and beyond! We went all over Manhattan and even visited Queens and Brooklyn. If you're in New York for a week, buy the 7 day pass for $30 -- you can't beat that deal!

A lot of travellers are weary of the "Subway' Mabe so up until the late 90's - But Not Now Take the usual precautions, & you will be fine - But a NYC Must

I was staying at the Wellington Hotel and they do not have any coffee or tea making facilities in the room so I used Subway for Coffee and Cold drinks. It is cheap and the staff really are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are chatty and make you feel very welcome and remember you when you go back. They really are a credit to their company

Not exactly luxurious, but the price and convenience can balance the crowds and lack of glamour. Getting a week long pass is more cost effective.

It was clean and air conditioned! Way cheaper and less jerky than a cab ride! Totally enjoyed it! Even loved the different music! The people were friendly too!

I liked the Food of Subway. Their Burger amazed me. I'll always prefer the most good food chain is subway.

the metro is not clean, staff are not helpfull neither freindly, no elevator or out of service in most stations, I'll not recomend to take the subway for anyone.

This Subway outlet has an excellent location - just across the road from Starbucks, which made it very convenient.

clean, well manned and easy to maneuver - a little crowded at times, but much cheaper than taxis. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to go!

Convenient location open 24 hours if you want a healthier option than the street food. Nice when coming home from late night on the town.

The subway was cheap and easy to use. Always help available if you needed guidance. Had bought Hop On/Off Bus passes but was easier and quicker to use the subway

Just wish that the subways didn't always smell! Some folks say that's what makes them unique. I could do with a little less uniqueness then!

The subway is one of the best ways to get around the traffic in NYC. Cabs can get gridlocked in traffic while the subway does not.

Excellent locations of the stores in this chain. Locations not very clean. Staff not very nice and helpful. Even the food is no longer up to scratch a few years ago when you could customize your sandwich with a wide selection of fresh products starting with different types of bread.

Right next to the hotel is a very small Subway. Nice people, the usual food, nothing fancy of course. Half sandwich costs about 6 $ with drink and cookie.

The service was very quick. The sub shop was very clean. It was also very quiet. And all for a great price too!!

well it is summertime and the subways are hot. but the trains are fast and plentiful aside from the biggest bang for your buck to travel the city

This subway is a few doors down from the Wellington Hotel which is really convenient when you fancy a snack as it is open 24 hours! They sell the usual subways with lots of different varieties and even sell pizzas!

Found it very simple to get about. Once you get your head around the "letters and numbers" it was easy. We found that un-manned stations the machines only took correct money. If you were to be in the city for several days that it is worth getting a multiple pass. We spent two days travelling around using the subway for getting to places and it only cost 10$ a day.

This place has totally lost it, they started out bad and through great effort managed to get worse. Just terrible!

Just nipped in after a long haul flight for a quick bite to eat. Thought the staff was rude and very slow. Had two subs 6inch and ft long into meal deal which came up to 21.56$.

The subway is just around the corner...very handy! Easy access for uptown and downtown trains...Easy walk to the local supermarket...Easy walk to Times Square too, although we only go in that part of town for theatre...It's so crowed in that part of town and if you have lived or visited there several times, you know what I mean...I highly recommend avoiding that area..
