I was so excited about visiting this restaurant after it was profiled on a national news show. Customers were waiting in long lines to get inside this restaurant which only sells cinnamon rolls. I thought the timing of the broadcast was perfect because it was close to my trip to NYC and I absolutely love cinnamon rolls. I was really surprised when I arrived around 10:45 am and there was only one customer in front of me. I was even more surprised when the employee (young lady with a foreign accent) completely ignored me. After assisting the man in front of me, she immediately turned her back to me and pretended as if she was working on the table behind her. I waited a few minutes to see if she was going to turn around and acknowledge me. Eventually she did turn around, however she continued to ignore me. I asked her if she was still helping customers. Ordinarily, I would have turned around and left, however, it took me a long time to find that place. Finally, she took my order. Not only was she rude, she can’t count money and should not be working the cash register. My total was $8.71. I gave her $10.01 and she only gave me a quarter back in change. When I brought the error to her attention, she still was unable to give me the correct change. After three attempts, she finally gave me the correct change. It is a shame that business establishments don’t understand the significance of good customer service. It does not matter how good the product is if the customer service is horrible. The chocolate cinnamon roll that I purchased was ok. It was not that great where I would go back on my next trip to NYC.

I ended up having to wait over 20 minutes for these rolls, but they were definitely worth it. They were baked well - nice and moist and fluffy. I got multiple flavors, and ended up liking the bananas foster and original the best. The seating was all taken when I went, but going to Tompkins Square Park nearby is a solid option.

We found this bakery on instagram and went there on a Friday morning ( 9:30 ) and it was not busy . We ordered the pistachio and the classic roll and both were delicious . Thank you
