Outside of the fries and bread the rest of our meal was average. Not good for NYC. Not bad but wouldn't come back or Reccomend.

I went to this restaurant today with my best friend. I made my reservations on opentable.com and asked that they say happy birthday on the plate or on the cake given to my friend. I called the restaurant to confirm this and they said they would put a candle in the dessert. So I said fine. The reservation was under my name. We get there and the waitress asks us what we want literally 2 seconds after we sit down. She said here is the menu do you know what you want. We had to shoo her away at least 3 times. She kept rushing us like she couldn't wait for us to hurry up and order so we could leave. The waitress was an african american, skinny young woman about 5'3 or so. I don't know here name and honestly i'm not sure she really told us her name. She got an attitude with me when I requested to switch appetizers. She acted like we were annoying her. She kept hoovering over us. I've never seen food come so fast. Right after one dish the next one came. There was a table next to us and that couple did not get served as quickly nor were they rushed like us and they had the same waitress. I must note I am african american and my bff is Korean. Anyway, as I mentioned earlier I asked about the birthday special for my friend. After ordering dessert the waitress came back to the table and asked "whose plate gets the candle?" I just looked at her like she was an evil dumb bleep bleep bleep. Obviously it was a surprise. She knew she messed up because she goes sorry I asked the hostess but she didn't know. My friend was like what? Oh I didn't know. I said to the stupid waitress um it was for her but now forget it. A good waitress would ask who is the person the reservation is under and by process of elimination realize that the candle should go to the other person. Then the dessert came out and I got the wrong order. I looked at the waitress like what is this? She asked what was wrong. I told her I ordered the chocolate mousse. She said sorry I thought you said banana. She knew I did not say that because I was talking about how the mouse had rum and sounded good. My friend and I were going to stiff her on the tip but I just read an article that the tips don't only go to the waitress they are shared with the bell boy, bus boy etc. So I'm not going to stiff them because this waitress was incompetent and rude. My friend complained to the hostess when we got our coats and her response was "sorry it's restaurant week" WHAT THE HELL DOES RESTAURANT WEEK HAVE TO DO WITH BAD SERVICE? This is the time all staff should be on their best behavior so that they can bring in repeat customers. Another woman overheard my friend complaining and she interjected and asked what happened. This was an African American woman, older, about 5'5 or so in a denim shirt. My friend informed her how we felt rushed and the service was bad. This woman apologized said she wished she had known earlier but would talk to the waitress. My friend said I didn't stiff her on the tip although I was going to only because I know other people get paid out of that. So bottom line I won't be going back. If you feel the need to disrespect me after I am paying my hard earned money and the food isn't even that great. It's mediocre at best I will go somewhere else. Their loss because my friend and I eat out a lot and know tons of people who love to eat out so we could have brought them a lot of good business with one good review. Bottom line if you like mediocre food and bad service then go to this place. Otherwise stay away.

I visited T-Bar with some friends this week and we had a memorable experience worthy of sharing and recommending! Firstly, the location is perfect for those of us who are fascinated with the Upper East Side’s particular charm – but personally, the factor that always draws me back to T-Bar is the restaurant’s consistency in providing top quality and imaginative dishes. On this occasion, we started with the Guacamole and Tortilla Chips and the Angel Chicken Wings to share. The Guacamole was delicious – we were even surprised by how well the kitchen nailed this dish and considered asking them to reveal their secret recipe – absolute perfection! The chicken wings were served in a particular style, they reminded me of the chicken skewers usually served at fancy cocktail parties – I thought this was such a stylish and great idea. These were one of the best wings I have ever eaten, compliments to the kitchen again! For the main course we shared the Black Angus Porterhouse – a classic steak cut you can only find in selective New York restaurants. T-Bar had it! Perfectly cooked, tender, fresh and juicy – this is what I am looking for in a steak and T-Bar had the whole package. We ordered fries and spinach for sides. The spinach was great and a superb alternative to the creamy spinach I usually go for. Unable to resist the dessert menu, we ordered the Strawberry Sundae and Warm Apple Crisp. A perfect combination between the fresh fruit, shortcake and cream made the Sundae a perfect summer dessert and the Apple Crisp was also superb. I had the Ginger Martinis throughout the meal and it complimented all the dishes perfectly – I recommend this cocktail for warm summer nights. Of course, if you prefer wine, they have a great selection of both white and red! A delicious dinner in a lavish ambience, great service and friendly staff - T-Bar has it all! A massive well done to the kitchen and staff again, will be returning!

To start, I have dined hear over 25 times. They have a nice menu and the food is very good. The steak tartare is a spicy blend that is unusual and quite hearty. Their steaks and burger (including lamb burger) are outstanding, always perfecly cooked and served with several sauces. They lean toward a hint of French influence, kind of Franco-American really. Salads are fresh and nice size. Note here: I have a Dr. friend who is allergic to nuts and he dines here as it is nut free I am told. Try the mille fuille dessert (share it). This is a neighborhood standard. Don't miss it on restaurant week either.

Great food :T bond steak with salat and exelent desert.Atmosfere relaxing.Fantastic weiter Bojan Babić.

We had a anniversary dinner for my parents at TBar last night. Their were 7 of us and everyone was wowed. We had soft shell crabs that were perfect, we had the porterhouse for two cooked perfectly and very flavorful, excellent sea bass and hamburger. The seared octopus and kale salad were excellent appetizers. The apple crisp and Banana parfait topped it all off although we had little room for desert. All this in a upper east side neighborhood Steakhouse.

Again in NYC stoping by T Bar were at the bar the most charming and Beautiful Rokia with here amazing welcoming , the menu has improved at very reasonable price , the owner Tony always very welcoming to every table , perfect for a group of friends or Birthday , Great Pizza and guacamole , Sashimi , Amazing Steak , don't forget number one dessert in NYC to share the Banana brulle with ice cream or Strauberry ,

Came for a birthday party. We were a party of 13/14 people, including two kids. We came in at different times, and we were still seated right away. The service was phenomenal! I never waited for my wine or water to be refilled. He checked in often enough to take care of us but not so much that we felt rushed in anyway. My partner and I got the porterhouse. Oh. My. God. That is one amazing, phenomenal, exquisite steak! I can still taste it. I tried a few things from others plates as well, mac n cheese is delicious, baked potato is amazing, all the steaks I tried are great! Even the pizza is good!!! We had kids with us, and they were treated very well, but I admit it's a bit expensive to be spending $14 on a pizza that no kid is going to finish on their own...if they'd have split it it would have made more sense. But, they were welcomed which is a big deal. Some places get uptight, TBar was welcoming! The desserts were amazing too!!! Honestly, we had such a great time. Thank you TBar! We'll plan to be back!

While visiting friends from the city my husband and I were treated to a delicious dinner at T Bar. Our meal included drinks, an array of appetizers, an entrée, breads and rolls (don't miss tasting the olive focaccia bread), coffee and three different shared desserts. Our server was not only attractive and poised but also knowledgeable and attentive. The owner was available to greet us and follow up to see how we were doing. We were happy to find a parking spot right out front of the restaurant. The prices appeared reasonable for a restaurant of such high quality. Don't miss the opportunity to try T Bar for yourself. Enjoy!!

Food, atmosphere and service are always good and consistent. Be sure to order the fries...they are some of the best around.

One of my faves! Great food, excellent service and perfect lounge setting for various occasions. A must when in NYC!

My favorite restoran in Burgas! I like salads, pasta, risotto and desserts here. Highly recommend this place!

Had dinner hear Friday night and the food was mixed . The Caesar salad was very poor, small , and tasteless. Shrimp cocktail was good, but that is no benchmark for a Steak house . My ribeye was cooked rare plus , like I requested but it had a nerve running through it that should not have been served. This is not a destination steak house, and only worth going to if you live within walking distance and are not expecting exceptional food.

Very modern UES restaurant. Trendy vibe, good music and mix clientele. This is a first or second, or everyday date type place. The food is amazing, the ambiance is relaxing and comfortable, and the staff is really well trained and on point. Highly recommend!

This is a neighborhood restaurant off the tourist track. Everyone staff and clientele very friendly. We went as a family and ordered the porterhouse steak to share. It melted in the mouth and was plenty.

A good choice for either lunch or dinner. Food is excellent and service is very good. Ask to sit in rear to avoid loud noise.

Tony is the best Where ever he goes 👍 He bring perfection The food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The accueil ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The new location is just so beautiful Can wait to be back We really feel home

Our party of six were here Thurs during winter restaurant week. Four of us ordered filet mignon off the special menu which came with an appetizer, side and dessert. A couple shared their rib-eye steak for two , which always satisfies T-Bar patrons. Everyone's steak preparation arrived as ordered . Service was excellent. Our reservations were honored on time . What deters me from agreeing that T-Bar is my personal UES favorite is that the ambience is too noisy to justify the expensive tab ~ $100/person when ordering off the regular ala- carte menu with wine or a couple of drinks.

Not from New York, so can't compare this restaurant to others in area, but our group of six had no complaints, except that the waitress was a bit forgetful- Forgot a wine order. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, veggies and desert were delicious. A bit overpriced though- $28 for a burger? No burger is worth that. But, the place had a good vibe. Would suggest sitting in the back where noise is less obtrusive. Overall an excellent meal, but bring your wallet.

Every time our waitress came to deliver something, she reached out with a fully tatooed arm and, frankly, it ruined the evening. This purports to be a first rate restaurant and, indeed, food and service are fine.....but for the distraction. The demography is heavily to women who laugh too loud and sound like screaching birds. Surely, this isn't the intention of the owners but it's the way it was last night.

I have been a repeat customer of T-Bar for sometime. The menu is always tasty, consistently well executed with solid service in a modern atmosphere.

Nice well appointed upper east side eatery. Good food with an attentive and helpful wait staff. 3 stars instead of 4 because the one negative is that it is noisy which detracts from the enjoyment of the meal.

I was dreading meeting a friend for a late brunch on a recent Sunday. First I saw some friends eating outside and then my friend and I went in, got a great table where we could sit side by side and ordered lunch. The menu is terrific because it is really an extensive lunch menu and not the usual breakfast fare. I had a delicious steak tartare and my pal had chicken milanese (I never saw that on the menu in Milan). The service was great, not rushed even though we were the last of the lunch patrons and the staff was eating when we left. Try to go during off hours when it is not frantic and not noisy.

The portions were truly more than ample. We had to take home our leftovers. The steaks were tender and tasty. All the sides were large as well. Quite noisy - only drawback.

I would totally recommend this resturant. i was with a party of six for resturant week, and the menu is awesome!!! the salmon, and steak were great!! The atmosphere was also on point. The staff was okay, just basic. Nothing negative to say about this resturant. I'll be back again for sure!!!

Food was good a little pricey. Felt a little rushed at end. Desserts were especially good. Asked for a specific cocktail and was told that they don’t do it and won’t try.

This was my first New Year's Eve at T Bar. This is a local restaurant for me dining here for years but never having spent New Year's Eve here. We were 3 couples & we all had the most amazing time! The food was fantastic & reasonably priced. The atmosphere was festive & the music & dancing was a plus. We all agreed we would look forward to celebrating again next year!

Sometimes you just want to go somewhere where everything is relaxed warm and un-hurried. The exterior design and name didn't draw us in, It was the thanksgiving menu and proximity to our apartment. Any restaurant that opens on a holiday generally is not good value but we really enjoyed and appreciated our thanksgiving late lunch which was very good value and ticked the boxes. we will be returning next time we are in the city.

Good spot - great steaks, and we loved the Bronzino last time. Guacamole app was good not great. Lamb meatballs app great. Average entree $28 but many $32.

This restaurant is a very busy place during dinner. We all had the hamburgers which were over priced and of average quality. This restaurant caters to a mature crowd.

Frightening crowd - 45+ yr old women stuffed into 7 for all mankind jeans looking for love and the viagra with a martini chaser crowd. The food and service was possilby the worst ever for a restaurant that is not inexpensive. Waitress could not have cared less about us. Had it not been for train wreck patrons, the night would have been a total flop but it was pure sport finding humor amongst the "natural" blonds. If you are on the EUS, go to Atlantic Grill, at least you'll get a decent meal and the service is actually pretty decent.

Had a wonderful night here celebrating my friends birthday. For cocktails, I got the jalapeño margarita, which was perfection. Not too sweet, and the spice was not too overpowering- the ideal combination for a cocktail in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of tuna tartare, and theirs is outstanding. For dinner, I had the turkey burger and the combination of the turkey, cheese and spinach was divine. For dessert, we had their strawberry shortcake sundae. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, and it just sings in your mouth.

This is an excellent upper east side NY restaurant. one of the better restaurants in NYC. All the dishes I've tried are good--some are excellent. Try the tuna tartare--the best ever. Salads are fabulous and the desserts are to die for. Deserts are enough to feed at least three!

Delicious steak with mashed potatoes. Started with a Cesar salad. Wanted an apple crisp which was on the menu but they didn't have it. Had a pear sorbet which I must say was amazing. Nice crowd, great drinks. If they add more desserts to the menu I would raise my star to a five!

Had dinner here Saturday and it was fantastic! Service was great food was fantastic and the cocktails were the best!

The porterhouse was sublime: so tender perfectly cooked and seasoned Even the bread is fantastic ! Love the terrace

I needed to grab something for lunch before heading to Central Park for a concert. The restaurant was nice. The color scheme was cute. It was restaurant week so I ordered of that menu and had the veal meatballs and filet mignon which were good. But the Banana Parfait Mille Feuilles dessert was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! My friend couldn't keep her spoon out of my plate. I will go back for that dessert alone!!! YUMMY!! The service and everthing else were good as well! I liked my waitress nice since of humor.

This restaurant is near our apartment and it's our "go to place" whenever we want a good meal that's close by. The food is consistently good although the service can be inattentive sometimes but not always. When our friends come in to visit this is where we go and we have always gotten good feedback as well.

Had dinner recently at TBAR Steak and Lounge for the first time and I am pretty impressed! The place is decorated with pastels and the ambience is pretty nice here. Their skinny girl margaritas are light and sweet with a hint of a salty flavor that compliments their black angus porterhouse steak pretty well. Their angel chicken wings were also a pleasant surprise! They were lightly topped with sesame seeds and tamarind glaze. It was nothing like anything I've had before! To top it all off, I had room left for dessert and tried their strawberry Sundae. The fresh strawberries inside mixed so well with the ice cream and soft sponge cake!

Nice restaurant on the upper east side. We had the sea bass and the filet mignon. The food was tasty and well prepared. The atmosphere was nice and the service was attentive. Most of the menu is a la carter with side dishes extra. Reservations a must for Saturday night.

Horrible place. Loud, tacky, Upper East Side crowd. Pretends to have a downtown feel, but this place belongs in a Montauk Strip Mall. Lousy food, slow service, rude, indifferent staff. Never again.

This is a terrible place to go if you want to have any interaction with your dinner company. You cannot hear them on the other side of the table. When requesting that they lower the music volume or just the pounding base, besides being rude and disrespectful, we were sure they turned the volume up HIGHER. It registered between 82-87 decibels on my Apple Watch!! — “NOISE at this level for 1 hour and 40 minutes a day CAN CAUSE TEMPORARY HEARING LOSS! The food was good, but it was missing a dance floor because this is really a disco, disguised as a restaurant but missing the dancing! My first visit to their new 60th street location, and my last!

T Bar is everything that a restaurant-lounge is supposed to be. Really good food, drinks, and wines; welcoming staff; vibrant but not loud atmosphere; variety of patrons. It's "excellent" because it's a special combination, balanced, and rarely achieved. Keep it up, T Bar!

First, the service was excellent. They were attentive, gave us exactly what we needed and never displayed any of the attitude in other reviews. More importantly, food was great. I had the tuna, which was prepared perfectly. Seared on the outside and quite rare (I ordered it rare), the highlight was an almost crispy crust that was delicious. Also shared a spinach sautéed with garlic side that was really good. Dying to go back for the tuna, plus the steaks (and fries) I saw going to other tables made me envious.

T Bar is situated away from the usual tourist area. Very good service and always a warm welcome. Steaks are always excellent and cooked to perfection. Save room for the amazing desserts which are so large you need to share. Must try the Banoffee dessert which is the best ever.

A great steak and great service What more do you want? We had a wonderful time and we will be back Tony Fortuna excells at making you feel comfortable. Thanks

We (including a 4 year old and a 6 year old) celebrated a happy occasion recently in this restaurant. Our server immediately bonded with the kids and made them feel welcome. One of them spilled a glass of water across the table and she was not flustered. She was also savvy enough to bring the childrens meals while our appetizers were served. The food was incredible and prepared to each specific order with no problem. The decor and the ambience make this a restaurant for all occasions. As we left the restaurant one of the servers dashed out of the restaurant because we had left the cookies that were part of the meal on the table.

What a local treasure! Haven't been in months and was so jazzed by the activity and good food at T Bar. Never saw a steak....everyone was digging into Pizza and Pasta and Tuna - Yum. If you need an energy boost....head there immediately.

Not only does T-Bar serve one of the best steaks around, they also excel in seafood (their crusted tuna is a must) and other main courses (their roasted duck is one of the best I've ever tasted). But the biggest reason to go to T-Bar is for their desserts - even if you're not much of a sweets person (like I am), it's impossible not to indulge in their dreamy sundaes (my favorite is the strawberry) or their banana parfait. Just go! You will not regret it.

Nice warm, vibrant ambiance. Service was friendly, quick and responsive. Fine California wines and fabulous steaks....well prepared and delicious... One could quibble about a $10. Baked potato! But hey we are here to enjoy....great evening.

This spot is great for all occasions!! It has an incredible selection of food and artisanal cocktails to impress family members and friends. On a Monday night, the three-floor space was buzzing with people having celebratory drinks, cozy dinners and romantic dates. One customer at the table next to me had traveled from outside New York and said it was "well worth it". I would recommend coming with an appetite because portions are too good to be half-eaten.

Excellent meal! Started with a ginger martini followed by a zucchini carpaccio which was fresh and delicious. The main dish of crusted tuna sushi style over seaweed was excellent. Others had the crispy duck and the grilled branzino equally delicious. Prompt and polite personnel. We had a lovely time.

We each loved our appetizers and entrees. I started with an appetizer of thinly sliced zucchini over a thin layer of goat cheese and drizzled with olive oil -- it was incredible. For my main I had the salmon which was also fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely for dinner and service was impeccable.

The ambiance is very nice and the food is very good too. Service was not bad either. Not the best of wine lists, but could be worse.

This lounge / restaurant is a local meeting place of the upper East Side crowd. A fabulous bar scene is always the norm. A varied menu featuring Steaks & Fish, all served with finesse. The wait staff is nearly invisible, with service at the highest level one might expect from suce an outstanding place.

Loved this restaurant. Atmosphere is hopping yet easy to converse with your table friends. Front of restaurant is cool, and back area is appealing as well. Endive salad high recommend. Branzino and tuna medallion entree were standouts Fun place. Great atmosphere. Nice unobtrusive service. What more could you want?

Consistent, good service and food. Though the menu could vary a little more, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is lovely and not noisy. I consider it a staple and always recommend.

Tony, the owner, oversees the restaurant night and day and runs an outstanding operation. The menu, food quality, staff and ambiance are absolute perfection. From the varied menu selection, wine list and very friendly staff, there is no better restaurant on the upper East Side. TBAR should be ranked #1 on Trip Advisor and all other sites. It never disappoints. Merci Tony!

We had burgers, fish, sushi, and starters. Everything was delicious and very nicely presented and the service was excellent and very friendly. It was absolutely worth the price. This place is highly recommendable.

We were here for lunch, and it has a lot of regulars. It is a classy, attractive restaurant, and while tables are close together, you can still have a conversation. There are three separate dining areas I would not call it a steak restaurant, as it has everything, from salads to pasta to fish to burgers. Maybe at dinner it has more emphasis on steaks and chops. Service was attentive, and never rushed. It is pricey for lunch, but it is more upscale than many of the other near by places

Great steaks and some of the best French fries I’ve had in city. Would recommend, but for a weekday evening it was busy and and noise level was so high it was almost impossible to hear the our people at our table of four.

Booked a week before for 21:30 on December 24, I am then confirmed the time the day before. The same afternoon of December 24 is instead moved the time by bringing it forward to 19:30 via email, justifying the change of time by bringing forward the closure of the kitchen to 8 since it was Christmas Eve. Maybe they should have said it before... obviously we couldn't go and since it was Christmas Eve it was impossible to book elsewhere. Unacceptable!

I went to T-bar Steak & Lounge with my friends and it was fantastic. Every dish I ordered was so delicious and the restaurant has a perfect atmosphere for hanging out with friends. We ordered the Black Angus Porterhouse steak medium well. It was amazing!! So juicy it melted in my mouth. We also ordered Mediterranean Branzino. I could say ‘no fish smell’ at all! I am kind of a sensitive person on the seafood! But it was so fresh and cooled perfection. Lastly we ordered Roasted Brussels Sprouts, it is properly salty, which is perfect for me because I don’t like veggies that much. After our dinner we ordered Banana Parfait Mile Feuilles. It was delicious. I highly recommend you to come to T-bar Steak & Lounge! I bet you will never regret it!:)

Truly lousy food - at high prices - tasteless Caesar salad ($22), over-salted strip steak ($78) to the point of inedible, bland chicken milanese, sushi, and apple crisp - nothing-to-write-home-about atmoshphere - there is no reason to eat at this restaurant when there are thousands of better ones in NYC.

Have been to TBar several times and it never disappoints. Great margarita pizza to start but the show stopper for me was the porterhouse steak for three. Sides and dessert also excellent.

I ate here with my girlfriend on a Sunday night. The restaurant was pretty full and we had a reservation for 7:45pm and were seated promptly when we arrived. The food was simply amazing, we had the porterhouse which came out on a hot skillet and stayed hot through the entire meal, and a side of spinach. The service was also amazing, very friendly and very attentive. 10/10 would eat again.

We go here when in New York. Really good burgers and great staff. Prices are ok for UES. Place has been around now for several years and has a good following.

Tbar has a sophisticated yet neighborhood feel and a pleasing menu with a solid number of dishes to choose from. Well trained and attentive staff.

I was there last night with a friend. The owner was obnoxious, rude and nasty. It is clear he has a short memory that he was bankrupt 10 years ago, perhaps a refresher course is on the way.

This place is a bit pretentious but. The food is pretty good but expensive. They have a nice menu and there is something fir everyone. Service was quite good but I saw from others it was inconsistent. Try the banana parfait it is great

T-Bar is totally quality driven....staff quite professional and friendly. Ample portions, first rate, excellent food. A neighborhood treasure! Equal to Lugers/Brooklyn, and the Old Homestead/Meat packing. Alexandra is an exceptional hostess; Camila was a terrific server. T-Bar has style, is beautifully designed. The chef is clearly gifted. A true gem, best steakhouse on the UES hoofs down! Great attention to detail, creative sides, everything is fresh and delicious! A true pleasure...thank you Christopher Bayer/Nigel McCall New York, NY

Came to this place for sunday brunch last weekend with my husband and our 1 year old son. We had a great time, the staff was super nice, the menu was great and the food was absolutely delicious. We got in pretty early so it wasnt crowded, i loved my frittata, my husband has the french toast and we just loved everything about it, GREAT strong coffee!

Service is professional. Food is excellent. Prices are high and consistent with fine dining establishments. Easy access with no steps from sidewalk to table for seniors and/or other physical challenges.

I came from out of town and my NY friends chose this restaurant based on their friend's recommendation. There was a small bar with a TV right when you walk in, so if there's a sports game on, you won't miss it! We went at 8:30 pm and sat down right away! The place was packed and buzzing! This is obviously a trendy modern restaurant with a lot of beautiful well dressed people! One thing we noticed right away was that it was so noisy that you had to talk very loud across the table and/or repeat what we were saying. That was the only downfall , but expected at a great restaurant in NYC. A nice bread basket with French bread and was served initially. You can get wine by the bottle or glass. We shared a special of crabcakes with remoulade (with a small side of slaw) which was very very tasty. We also shared the shrimps which were a decent size , very fresh and good. (We wanted to taste a little bit of everything). My friends had a Caesar salad to start which they both enjoyed. For the main course: I had the ginger soy glazed Chilean Sea Bass over julienned vegetables-perfect and yummy! Just the right amount. My friends had the filet mignon and the Spicy Wasabi encrusted Ahi Tuna (which was sliced thinly) which were both plated beautifully and simply and tasted delicious. Service was very good. We were all so full that we didn't have room for dessert! The next day I told another NY friend where I had dinner and she said "that's a great place" and that she always goes there for special family celebrations. Looks like we hit the right spot!

The tuna here is my favorite in NYC. Restaurant is pricey and gets a lot of people in their 40s and above. People sometimes sit around the bar and watch the game. Not a cheap restaurant but definitely tasty. The burgers are probably the best deal on the menu.

I love T Bar because it's a young, cool steakhouse/lounge. Are they the best steaks ever? No but they're certainly edible. We shared an iceberg salad and it was ok. It wasn't the best ever but it served its purpose. We both ordered the filet mignon, medium. I have to say, it was cooked perfectly. It came with a trio of sauces but I stuck to bernaise. We also split mashed potatoes. For dessert, I had chocolate mousse (and it was great) and my date had raspberry sorbet. My biggest complaint is the service. We waited an hour after we finished dinner to even see our waiter again.

My husband & I love restaurant week. It really gives you an excellent opportunity to taste a restaurants menu. We have been disappointed unfortunately a couple of times, but T Bar delivered. Their selections really encompassed what their menu was about. Simple, creative, flavorful, fresh food. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly & was delicious. It had a bernaise sauce on the side, to which I didn't even touch. The banana's dessert was amazing. Worth a trip just for that. Our server was on top of everything. She was always in eyesight & kept watching & checking in on us.

This restaurant is a casual place with a good menu, fine service and nice atmosphere. Seafood is the main part of the menu. Good for lunch as well.

I've lived in the area for a while and have always found the UES to be lacking a bit in a fun trendy restaurant scene. I really think T Bar Steak hits it on the mark. The lounge area has an older sophisticated scene. Food is delicious and service is outstanding. I left something at the restaurant last week and they were awesome about getting it back to me. I'm heading there again this week for drinks, can't go wrong!

Great for a date night. We started with Seared Spanish Octopus and glasses of rose. For the main course, I had a medium/rare Filet Mignon. The portion sizes are very generous, so they are perfect for sharing! We had Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes, and sautéed spinach. Huge! Wear a blazer to impress your date.

A nice local eatery. Good menu, good service and pleasing atmosphere. EaT ON UPPER LEVEL FOR MOST PRIVACY.

Visited by locals routinely for excellent thin crust pizzas, salads, and assorted entrees like Irish Salmon; good appetizers. Not too far from Museum Mile. Excellent choice for course or a family.

I had a really amazing time in T-bar yesterday night. The atmosphere of restaurant was so fantastic and dishes was very delicious. Among them, three dishes were pretty impressive. First of all, 'Angel Chicken Wings' captured my taste. The chicken was so soft and the sauce was nonrejectable. Although it was little salty, I can't forget the tasty food. Next dish is 'Crusted Tuna'. It was very soft and there was no fishy smell. It was so delicious that everyone ate it quickly. Last food was 'Black Angus Porterhouse'. I have never eaten any steaks better than this one. Because the taste was awesome, I couldn't stop eating the steak. In short, the steak was absolutely perfect. I had a unforgettable memory in T-bar. I wish I am going to visit this restaurant again.

This was my second visit to Tbar and was a good as the first. i started with the salmon tartar and guacamole with veg crudité. Both were delicious; for my entree I had the lamb burger. I always like to try lamb if it’s offered and I’m glad picked it. The leftovers were just as good. I love sweets and tbar could easily be known as much for their great steaks as for the dessert. I definitely want to go again just for dessert.

I went to T-Bar after work last week with some co-workers. To start off I shared the Guacamole and Flatbread Pizza. Both were delicious. For my main course I had the Duck, which was very tender and melted in my mouth. As someone with a big sweet tooth the highlight was the desserts. I shared the Strawberry Sundae, Chocolate Sundae and Banana Parfait. All three desserts rank near the top of my list of all-time favorites.

Everything is right about this place. Well, the guacamole is delicious but a bit overpriced. It's a beautiful restaurant with great service I really recommend tuna tartar, steak tartar, Spanish octopus and don't leave before you try their banana parfait, amazing!

Neighborhood feel, enthusiastic wait staff, something for everyone menu.. Nice, but nothing special on those fronts, but the WOWs are the steak, sides, drink portions, and deserts. Don't miss the Banana frozen desert - table sized and always tried even by those who put up the international extended hand of NO Desert when asked before it's served... The NY Strip steak was so perfectly done and tasty that I've ordered it twice and loved every bite twice. The baked potato is giant and all the toppings yummy.. All around great local place.. (albeit on the pricy side).

I am a steak person mainly, and this is a very nice place to enjoy a good steak. Good food, lively ambiance, nice bar scene. Also very well located.

This is a perfect match for NYC. First you need to meet the Owner Tony who is amazing and will take care of you, start to have a drink at the bar, then start your amazing experience. See you soon !

I really like T Bar and think it is always a good choice. The menu is very diverse and you can always find something delicious. We shared the pizza and Tuna Tartar. Really amazing desserts- everyone was dying over the strawberry sundae. We also had someone with severe nut allergies and she was over the moon that it is a nut free restaurant. Delicious! Great for lunch or dinner.

A really good steak and a great atmosphere to eat in. Good service and a full bar. We've eaten here a number of times and the food is always consistent and so are the staff.

First time here--recommended by a friend. One of the best dining experiences. They made us feel like we were regulars. the range of food from steak to Italian food was impressive! This is a must on your regular restaurant circuit.

Excellent restaurant on the UES. Ordered steak and duck as our main courses. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Even loved the baked potato. Bread basket is top notch! It's pricey but worth it. Will be back again and again!

Had one of the best Birthday parties at this amazing restaurant! The food was great, the staff was wonderful and attentive to all our needs, the deserts superb! Definitely becoming a regular this year.

Very modern restaurant with a simple but very sophisticated menu, the food was out of this world and the presentation was amazing! Can't wait to go back!

We went here on Christmas day for dinner. Great neighborhood place. Nice looking place with great service. Oyster, shrimp, Octopus, Yellowfin Tartar on the appetizer list. They have a wonderful Filet with three different sauces, Steak, Bearnaise and Poivre. I had the Cavatelli Antonucci with veal ragout. The pasta is made from scratch and it was very good. They have aged bone in Rib Eye, and Porterhouse for two. Sides are $10 each and include Baked Potato, Shallots, Brussel Sprouts, spinach and macaroni and cheese. A little pricey but everything we had was delicious.

They took a group of 7 of us in at the last minute, and provided excellent service. I had a white fish, it was delicious, we all loved the food, the wine, and it was quiet enough that we could hear each other. The staff was kind and treated us with respect. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner out.

Now on 60th St, this restaurant/bar offers a good variety of food and drinks, its a little too loud, but entertaining. Even with a reservation they make you wait a while.

As always amazing welcoming by Tony Fortuna and his staff , the Best Piazza and sushi’s for appetizers amazing fish and Steaks for dinner and his signature deserts Banana ice cream Flambé and Strawberry’s and ice cream and to Top it saying hello to his Partner Arthur Bacall the # 1 Events Planer company in US . Try also there restaurant in South Hamptons.

Ate at TBar for an early dinner with my wife. Great steak, sides were excellent- baked potato and creamed spinach. Service was excellent. We have an apartment nearby and expect to be back frequently!

The cocktails are made to perfection! We’ve tried everyone on their specialties list. Always a wonderfully crafted drink. The food is excellent, from the olive bread to the steaks and side dishes. We repeatedly go to the TBar because it’s always consistent and excellent.

Visited on Valentine's Day for dinner at 7pm. I had rigatoni bolognese and hubby had veal schnitzel. Had creme brulee and strawberry shortcake for desert. We loved our meals and would easily reco this place. Nice ambience too. Seemed to be a lot of locals in there.

This restaurant has been around in different guises for many years, and had a couple of other names prior to becoming TBar. Their specialty now, as implied by the name, is steak, but there are many other alternatives, my favorite of which is the tuna tartare (it's sort of a Pac Rim presentation). They also have an attractive and fairly large bar. The staff is very friendly. The place is a bit pricey, but it's worth it for the delicious food and ambiance.

This past week a few friends and I met up for dinner at T-Bar Steak & Lounge. It was my first time dining at T-Bar and I was certainly not disappointed. I was taken in by the causal yet elegant space. The staff was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. We started with a couple of appetizers. The guacamole with chips was surprisingly good and it was better than any traditional Mexican version I've ever had. We also split a phenomenal cucumber and goat cheese pizza. For the main course I shared the black angus porterhouse for two, it honestly could have been for three. The meat was cooked to perfection, really tender, and savory. We topped the night off with the decadent banana parfait. I was beyond pleased with my first experience at T-Bar and look forward to several more.

Very popular place right now. Very noisy, too. However, the attentive service and the food make up for it. he appetizers and salads were good but nothing to write home about. The steak was amazing. Yes, they finish it up in butter (Peter Luger's does that as well) but the final product is pleasantly charred on the outside and super-soft on the inside. The wine list is average and overpriced. The desserts are gooey and huge. I still think one should go there with the steak in mind and forget about anything else. Oh, the olive bread is worth of attention! Have it with butter, right before the steak.

While in New York we went to T Bar for dinner. The food that we ordered was amazing and the steaks that were ordered were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing (the portions were a bit small though). However the shock came when the bill arrived. Restaurants of similar quality have prices that are more decent than T Bars prices.

I reside in the area and frequent TBAR at least 2x week. The food is consistently excellent-,from the Irish salmon, seared octopus to the vegetarian risotto, crispy artichokes, guacamole, sides of amazing fries, spinach and Brussels sprouts. And the desserts are beyond delicious though quite over sized and perfect for 3. Servers and staff are extremely gracious. Seating is very comfortable and it's nice to have street views to people watch. Truly an ultimate favorite. It is so rare to find an excellent restaurant which delivers great food in a relaxing atmosphere where the personnel is attentive and kind. Well done Tony!

Maybe we hit an off night, but it was one of the worst steak experiences I have had in New York. Oysters were good, but steaks, accompaniments and desserts were all poor: bad cuts of meat, burnt vegetables (I understand that this can add to the flavour, but this was a few steps too far) and so on. The staff was friendly if a little rushed. Again, they were busy and I feel bad if we hit a bad evening for the restaurant. Still, a great restaurant should be great whether it's quiet or busy. First impressions count and with no many great choices in New York and just the local area I am unlikely ever to go back.

I hadn't been to Tbar in a while, but i was pleased to know that the food was a still as delicious as i remembered. i went with a few people and we ordered the porterhouse, perfectly cooked, the guacamole and chips, zucchini carpaccio and apple crumble to finish. i'm not on the upper east side often, but i always know where to get a great meal when i am.

This was the second visit for what amounts to a neighborhood restaurant for my son who lives on the Upper East Side. Quite a nice restaurant with wonderful ambiance and better food. Since it was restaurant week we took them up on the wine special and had a select bottle o vino for 30 ducats. This made the filet mignon and barramundi all the better. Will go back again as each time has been quite special

I had a really amazing time in T-bar last night. The atmosphere of restaurant was so fantastic and dishes were very delicious. Among them, three dishes were pretty impressive. First of all, ‘Angel Chicken Wings’ that I have ordered. The chicken was moist and the sauce tasted fresh. Next dish was the ‘Crusted Tuna’ cooked to perfection. Last dish was the ‘Black Angus Porterhouse’. I have never had a steak better than this one before. Because the taste was awesome. In short, the steak was absolutely perfect. I had an unforgettable time at T-bar. It was first restaurant I visited in NY from Korea. I am going to visit this restaurant again. Loved it.

Have been meaning to come here for a while as I've heard a lot of good stuff about this place. Atmosphere is casual. Presentation and quality of the food is top notch. Cocktail menu seemed a little boring but carried all the classics. Fish and steaks here are incredible. Prices are a little steep, but are competitive for a stakehouse of this caliber. Overall, well worth it. Wouldn't think twice about coming back.

UES best neighbor restaurant Tony the Master gretting you someone very special .. so professional and nice . First class , the food is just perfection from sushi to fish , salads or meats , and do not forget dessert 👍👍😂😂 For he connaiseur Tequila is a must , all the best you can imagine See you soon

As this was on the upper east side, we were expecting high prices and so-so food. Well, the prices are not cheap (http://www.tbarnyc.com/html/dinner.html) but also not a rip off. To counteract that, the porterhouse was superb. The Don David Malbec was only (I think) $32. I highly recommend this wine. Smith and Wollensky is probably higher on my list of preferred NYC steak places, but T Bar is higher than Capitol Grille. The place was a little noisy, but tolerable. The staff were attentive enough. We recommend it. Bookings are probably essential.

Went for the first time with friends, the lounge is a good size and good for a drink or two, nicely decorated. The restaurant is laid out well and the place was packed. They have a good menu, and a lot of variety, we went for some fried artichokes, but they were out, unlucky... but we had other great food, margarita pizza, had a bread basket with a good variety of breads, the Chicken Milanese, juicy and delicious, has greens and tomato on top, no need for that salad, delicious! Friends had the pasta, and also look delicious. The wines were typical NY prices, not cheap, but the pour was decent. We were actually full and just had coffee and cookies for dessert, Coffee had a nice taste, was fresh as well as the variety of cookies, yum! Will definitely be returning.

Miriam and Ari deserve a night out on the town, don’t you think? They spent the best years of their lives raising you on the Upper East Side, paying for your insane bat mitzvah (“Nikkiwood!”) and praying you didn’t marry that weird Republican you met at Tulane. So why not suggest an intimate dinner, maybe with Ali’s parents, at Tbar Steak & Lounge! Tbar is THE place to see and be seen if you’re a chic and moderately Botoxed UES baby boomer who texts with your pointer finger and has maybe asked your Millennial kids “how to Internet” on your phone. And I can see why this place is popular. While the décor is sub par and confusing, the food is anything but. There’s nothing particularly novel about the menu items but each is done to perfection. The Caesar is light yet satisfying, the filet thick and juicy, and the roasted Brussels sprouts are to DIE for. The stand-out items, however, are the HUGE desserts. When Tbar says they’re meant for sharing, they assuming you’re a soccer team or competitive eater. The banana parfait was outstanding, as was the brownie sundae. My advice? Go light on the entrees and focus on desserts for a truly happy ending. It may be the only one Mr. Shumberg gets these days…

we loved this place..get a reservation or it's not gonna happen! We went on a Tuesday night and it was packed..had a couple of drinks at their great bar..ended up eating at the bar because we could get a table for more than 2 1/2 hours...pricey was the crowd and people watching was well worth it and oh yes, the food was excellent! Definitely will be going back soon.

let’s begin with Yellowfin Tuna Tartar Drizzle of soy, Ginger and topped with sesame seeds. The tuna was bright and fresh and plate licking good. I like fresh Tuna…this I loved ! So simple a dish but can go wrong easily. This was a surprisingly great start. We also were treated with the special - Quinoa salad with butternut squash, black olives, fresh greens and mixed in a heavenly light dressing that truly was special. I had never been a big quinoa fan. First time did not make my palate happy. Yet the first time I had avocado I was not pleased. The secret to anything new is flavor. Seasoning and spending a little time and love to enhance the goodness that lies beneath the hype. I love avocados now. Fresh with a little lemon and red pepper flakes. Mixed in as a guacamole and any ole way. Is Quinoa the avocado of the millennials. Sorry but my thoughts on millennials vary. They are smart and innovative. I am not one of them. Although smart and innovative I was born too early and I was just born this way. Thoughtful and polite. Respectful and unpretentious. I envy the millennials that pretention is now acceptable. Thank you for that and thank you for quinoa. It is a lovely grain that can take on many different forms. In a salad as a main as a snack. T Bar did it right. Unpretentious. Clean pure flavor enhancing every ingredient on the plate. Balancing it all perfectly. I ate all the tuna and wanted to be sure to enjoy the rest of the meal as this introduction to T Bar enfolds. Never do I do this when reviewing but I asked to take the rest of this amazing salad home. Yes, Millenials you had me at quinoa. On to the main…our lovely talented and knowledgeable Server Kati suggested steak. It is however a steak house. Also mentioning that the duck is one of their most popular dishes. My photographer, Michael had the Rib Eye. Medium rare. I opted for the duck. Michael travels a lot and whenever he goes to a big city let’s say Boston or Chicago or DC. His quest is meat !! A great steak will determine if he will return. As any red blooded American male and Ron Swanson, Beef and whiskey is the perfect evening meal. Michael’s plate came out with a steak bigger than my head. Beautiful sear and cooked exactly right. A good sign that they have the right chef for a steak house. “At the suggestion of our server, we ordered the 24 oz. Prime Aged Ribeye Steak. The steak arrived perfectly seared and lightly seasoned with Kosher Salt and Black Pepper. I prefer my steak medium rare to preserve the natural flavor and juices of a prime cut of meat and the chef did not disappoint. No need for any other sauces. The generous portion is plenty for two guests. No disrespect to my vegetarian friends, but this steak would make Ghandi green with envy.” Michael Morrissey • Personally I do like a good steak now and then. T Bar rib eye is one of the best I’ve had. The preparation was beautiful. Presented on a white plate this charbroiled slab of beef was treated and cooked with kind and considerate hands. Meat lovers should be proud. In a world now where I have almost more friends that are vegan than not for many reasons. I also can appreciate the idea behind the meat lovers appreciating every part and utilizing it with purpose. Then the duck. A lovely plate. Crispy Long Island Duck. Tasty and flavorful. Served with a side of sweet potatoes and an orange glaze. It was a great choice. Service was perfect. We had a few minutes wait but to my surprise on a Thursday night at 7 PM this place was packed. A few minutes later we were seated at a corner banquet. Cushioning and comfortable. The décor was lovely understated and not flashy at all. The hostesses and bartenders were gorgeous. I felt as if I was in a Robert Palmer video. The patrons at the bar were as you would expect on the upper east side. Attractive older gentlemen with women whom you couldn’t tell their age or if they were sad. They all had the same smile. Lovely all the same. The dessert – as I mentioned often the dessert is the explanation at the end of the sentence. We were served 2 very decadent and large desserts. First the Strawberry Sundae. Shortcake, meringue, brandy cream. They say it serves 4 I would say maybe 14. It’s massive but very yummy. A steak place that just took a turn to being an ice cream social. Then the Banana Parfait Mille Feuilles. Coconut – caramel sauce. Again can serve 4 but we needed to make more friends to get through this. It was delicious. I always love a brulle. Hard sugar on top of stuff. Who wouldn’t like it. What stood apart for me was Kati. A true gem. Beginning with her warm greeting to our final good byes for the evening. I had been a server for many years and have seen a lot in high end to street food service. Kati not only makes you feel welcome I do believe she truly loves what she does. She loves where she gets to do it and her pride in the food shows in her pride of her service. Knowledge from your server makes your meal better. Education makes everything better. Kati made this experience one of my top 10 in NYC. T Bar is worth going to and going to again. If you have to wait do it. If you feel the wait is too long…do it and ask for Kati.

The staff were well-trained and very accommodating. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice, and well kept. The porterhouse for two was far better than the ribeye. Prices were typical NYC.

The noise level was quite high, and the food was good, but a bit over-priced. I had a lamb-berger that was very tasty.

My friends and I went to T-Bar steak & lounge on the upper east side and we had a wonderful night. We started with ordering cocktails from the bar menu they was delicious, you can taste that they only use premium spirits ! Then I had the Zucchini Carpaccio, it was the perfect way start the meal , light and fresh ! For the main course I had the Black Angus Porterhouse, the steak was amazing , juicy, tender and cooked to perfection, one of best steaks I have ever eaten so far in a restaurant . To finish I had the the Chocolate Sundae , I recommend this desert for all the chocolate lovers ! It was an incredible night and I'll come back again with my friends

The T-bar was recommended to us by a friend who is a foodie so my expectations were high. The food, bar service and wait staff exceeded my already high expecations. The steak was cooked to perfection and the side dishes were both delicious and ample. Nice wine list with many reasonably priced bottles. We were a party of four and everyone raved about their meals. Will definitely be back.

Great food , great service , reasonable price wine list , the owner stops by every table , also nice place to have a drink after dinner , we had 20 peoples in his back room , very private !

T-Bar is a wonderful restaurant and a great steakhouse. Me and some friends decided to go there after work one day. It was a nice sunny day and they had Prosecco on the menu so we started with a nice cold glass, just perfect. For appetizer we ordered chips and guacamole, the guacamole was amazing, so fresh and just perfectly spicy. We also ordered angel chicken wings and zucchini gapazho which was a really nice surprise. Zucchini, mixed vegetable on a bed of cream cheese, so delicious. Then it was time for the main course. We had Porterhouse steak that came cut up and cooked to perfection. Their steak is out of this world good! It came with a side of their well crispy French fries. We also had Mediterranean Branzino. So well prepared. Everything was so fresh and perfect in every way. Save room for the desert they are over the top! We had the Strawberry Sundae and Warm Apple Crisp. So heavenly!

I've been there for dinner. Decor and atmosphere is nice, food is very good. I don't know how much we spent anyway, a friend paid for everybody. Service was good. I've been served by a greek lady, I don't remember her name but I remember her smile. ;o) See you next time I will come to NYC! Roberto

This is not a typical modestly stuffy, intermittently smoky, dark, subdued and old-school steak house. It is open, a bit boisterous, and feels more fun. The bar is often crowded, so try early or later. Great bartenders. Great martinis. The reason one goes to a steak house is the steak. We have tried a lot of the top tier places in NYC, and like most. This place is a little smaller, and certainly not in the heart of midtown, but we have been here 4 times, and each time have been way impressed with the cuts and their preparation. Well aged, really intense sear, and always cooked as we want. We have never had to return a piece of meat. The sides range from good to quite good. Brussels sprouts and spinach are really good, haricot verts were good, but the star so far has been the mac & cheese - served in a small iron serving dish and just delicious. Really good wine list with domestic and foreign reds as you like. Prices are not bad. We have been unable to make it to dessert so far. Just coffee. We will be back for sure. Real nice and ultra-convenient place on the UES.

As far as I am concerned, there is no greater restaurateur in NYC than Tony Fortuna. That means no better restaurant than TBar. The food is without question excellent and non complicated which I appreciate. The employees aka “the family/the heart/the soul” are simply the best. Thank you Tony for keeping the “bar” high.

Great ambience, friendly staff, Steak was fantastic and the strawberry shortcake and banana parfaits are delicious, they are huge so share them

Although this place is lively and expensive, the food was excellent and it was overall a terrific experience. I had the chicken milanese ($24) and it was the best I ever had. The owner sent over some dessert samplings and they were over the top fabulous. $28 for a burger seems excessive but the chicken was so good, I would have to give it another try.

A good steak house, not the only one in Manhattan, be quite typical: not much space, loud, and good. Good level of service, and, of course, not cheap.

I was a big fan of T Bar when it was on 3rd avenue but my experience at the new outpost was terrible. The restaurant is beautiful but the food was bad and the service worse. We had a tuna tartare and Cesar salad which was ok. The burgers (Pat Lafrieda) were not hot and very bland. Waiter disappeared after he delivered our drinks. It’s very expensive also…. Would have had a better burger at Viand…

T Bar Steak & Lounge is, to my opinion, one of the best steakhouse in New York. The meat is wonderful and very well cooked at you liking; the apetizers are nice and the banana dessert is the BEST dessert in town!!

My family dined here for dinner twice this week and were very pleased with the overall experience and recommend it. The breads, especially the olive bread are wonderful. My favorite entree was the T Bar chopped salad with salmon. The salmon portion was very generous and very good. The burger was good, but not exceptional. The pièce de résistance was the chocolate sundae that can serve three people easily. The service is good and the wine list is adequate and reasonably priced. We will return.

I've been to T Bar many times for dinner and also just for drinks. Needless to say that the bar is well stocked with the finest liquors and wines. On our last trip there a week ago, I ordered the Aged Bone In Rib Eye and was told by the waitress that it is really large and enough for two people. We took her advise and decided to share. The steak was not only very large but cooked to perfection just as we had ordered. The creamed Spinach and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts were delicious and enough to share them too. Some reviews here claim that T Bar is pricey but when you consider a 24 ounce Aged Rib Eye that was most likely larger and more than enough for 2 people for $56, I would would say it is very affordable and very competitive with the other Top Steak Houses in Manhattan. The Seared Sea Bass and the Spice Crusted Tuna are also great Choices. For an appetizer, the Seared Spanish Octopus is usually my favorite but fortunately I did not order it with the Rib Eye.

T Bar is in an Upper East Side townhouse in the East 60s. You step into a feeling of upscale luxury with a vibe, yet the atmosphere of a place that has a local feel to it as well, both in its scale, and who’s there. It’s a “with-it” kine place, yet romantic simultaneously. Really nice bar with a friendly bartender who can turn a great drink. Excellent steaks, yet plenty of Italian and other Mediterranean touches, as well as nods to the more traditional dishes. I loved the fried oysters for a starter followed by the best crispy Long Island Duck since The Four Seasons closed its doors, which to me was the gold standard. The duck was orange-glazed, and the kitchen was flexibly happy to accomodate my subsitution request of mashed potatoes in lieu of the sweet potatoes on the menu. Delectable! My wife stayed more traditional…a tasty Caesar Salad followed by delicious Spaghetti and Meatballs. So you have that kind of menu flexibility along with the range of seafood, sushi, burgers and top notch steaks. You could dine there with three or four different culinary themes. Nice wine list. We enjoyed a nice Amarone. The staff was friendly and efficient to a person. We loved the place. Can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a long time favorite because of the consistently good food, service and atmosphere. We are never disappointed. Not to mention some of the best french fries in the City!!

often frequent T-bar on Third ave in NYC and always have a delicious lunch or dinner. The steak is delicious as is the fish. There isn't anything that I've had that I haven't loved. Salads for lunch are fresh and delicious. You can add grilled chicken. The bread is delicious.

Had Sunday brunch here two days ago with my cousin. She had pancakes and sausage, I had the French toast. Both the French toast and the pancakes were heavenly. Alas, my cousin tells me the sausage was only so-so and the maple syrup accompanying both seemed very much like maple-flavored corn syrup. My cousin had brought her own for real maple syrup, infinitely smoother, richer and more flavorful than what came with the meal, which by comparison was just cloyingly sweet. The service was excellent, attentive, friendly and very prompt despite the restaurant being crowded. The room is bright and attractive, though the tables are somewhat closer than one could wish for - but then this is Manhattan. Prices seemed reasonable - for Manhattan - I'm a suburbanite and so $22 for the brunch (which includes a choice of a limited number of beverage) was sticker shock, but again this is the upper east side. Would definitely recommend and with for real maple syrup would give it five stars.

We had a family gathering. Lunch, great ambiance excellent service, a real joy to spend a Saturday lunch eating delicious food, served with attention to detail and charm. Bravo mister Fortuna.
Celebration
Always love to come here , great bar area , we had the octopus salad and as main course the amazing ny strip was delicious perfect temperature and to finish the most delicious warm apple crisp dessert, service was attentive as always
