We had been to Central Park sightseeing and came across this little cafe on our travels.. we only had a coffee but so many things wrong here that we feel the need to leave feedback .. service unfriendly, longggg wait for what was a very bitter coffee and no toilet facilities which in this day and age is abysmal... in the UK this would not be legal. So don’t cross your legs and drink awful coffee, use one of the other bars in the area would be my advice.

This restaurant is only a couple of months old but we enjoyed it and hope it is successful. Everything is gluten free. The crepes are made out of small granular tapioca and the chef is very eager to share his knowledge. There are savory crepes as well as sweet ones. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.

While the coffee is quite good you have to drink fast and run. There should be a sign outside alerting patrons to the fact that there is no access to restrooms. We had a 2 Hour drive to get home from there after meeting family from overseas for coffee. No coffee is good enough to warrant the discomfort that followed.

Famous for Tapioca sandwiches, egg wraps and mini-paninis. Tried the spicy tuna Brazilian egg wrap tapioca sandwich and my colleague the caprese with smoothies. I had never tried this before so suggest you try if you haven’t.

Probably some of the best gluten free food I’ve had in a long time. Lots of options; the smoked salmon sandwich was delicious. The Brazilian cheese bread is not to be missed. Light and fluffy like I haven’t had since I went gluten free.

Staff was very friendly and the place is nice but the macchiatto was the worst I ever had. Dont know why because they are really proud of their coffe beans.

Me and my family love TAP, tapiocas and super-filled crepiocas, a delight, the cheese bread with pesto is divine, not to mention the açaí with peanut pasta and fruits that closed the experience, we will definitely return. It's a small place, it's to eat and get out.

Fantastic acai and excellent sandwiches and pao de quiejo. Loved every dish and overall service and atmosphere

Best Tapioca I’ve eaten outside of Brasil. Crunchy and with fresh ingredients. The açaí bowl was also great. Not to sweet and topped with fresh fruits and homemade granola.

My wife and I grabbed breakfast to go at TAP NYC before jumping on a 5 hour city tour. My wife has celiac's and is very allergic to gluten. The service was quick and friendly, the food was unique and good, and it filled us up for hours. Most importantly everything we had was safe for celiacs. Would definitely recommend for a fast grab and go gluten free option.

Awesome spot! Great atmosphere, and best in class service. Unique place to taste the Brazilian tapioca and a real açaí (not to mention brigadeiros and cheesebreads) in NY. I hope it comes to Miami soon!

What a fun restaurant! Naturally gluten free and low carb/keto, these sandwiches hit the spot! We actually went back the next day because our kids (and us) loved it so much! The Brazilian "bread" is made from tapioca/cheese which was so tasty! Also acai bowls/smoothies were great! We'll definitely be back! This is a great restaurant for anyone avoiding gluten as the "bread" is naturally gluten free but tastes better than any typical bread! I wish we had this in our hometown!

I've never eaten a tapioca pancake before, it's totally different thing from everybody knows, for sure it is not light as everyone writes, it's quite stiff and firm, the crepe itself is not sweet at all (and since I took it with peanut butter and bananas total outcome was also not very sweet). It was nice to try it but it's not something that I fell in love with and I'd like to eat in the future. Also they open quite late as for a breakfast, not until 8 am.

Brilliant place, especially for a coeliac!! Everything made with tapioca and all just delicious - every bit as good as the online reviews I had read told me. Lovely service, super food - especially the Pao de Queijo (cheesy bread rolls)

Traveling to Brasil at least twice yearly, one of my favorite things is the tapioca vendor with his quatro queijo tapiocas and morango and chocolate tapiocas. Imagine my surprise to find one of my favorite things right her on the upper West Side. Very simple restaurant, limited but excellent menu with great tapiocas and excellent coffee. The Tomato basil soup was very good, the salmon tapioca was fresh, well seasoned and truly refreshing. And the strawberry and chocolate was incredibly generously filled with both--oozing chocolate and yummy sweet strawberries. I definitely look forward to returning.

It all starts with the coffee which is brewed with skill and care by Tap's talented barista. In addition to a perfect cappuccino we discovered oat milk as an alternative for soy and almond milk. We also observed the making of matcha, a wonderful green tea latte. Tapioca crepes at Tap, made from cassava root, are unusual and light: We enjoyed ours with generous stuffing of goat cheese and mushrooms. We look forward to returning soon.

2nd time we’ve visited on trips to the city and just as satisfied. Super friendly service. One of our party of 6 has celiac and it’s such a relief to find a place that only serves naturally gluten free food so there’s zero risk. Plus the breads and açaí bowls are fantastic and a great morning boost so we have the energy to explore the city!

I've tried almost everything in this little restaurant/cafe (several tapioca crepes, cheese bread, carrot cake etc), and everything is delicious and well prepared. It's the place to go if you have gluten sensitivity, because the whole menu is gluten-free. But even if gluten is not an issue for you, I recommend this place!!

I went to tap NYC with my wife who's a celiac and she absolutely loved the food here! So much so that we got some stuff packed to munch on later.

This restaurant is about a 20-25 min walk on the way to Central Park via the Natural History Museum from the Marriot Marquis. It is a clean fresh restaurant which is primarily a breakfast/lunch place. My 14 yr old daughter ordered the tapioca crepe with mushrooms, arugula, truffle oil and cheese. I ordered the crepes with the prosciutto, arugula and cheese. Each order consists of two crepes. The crepes were delicious although my daughter didn't like the consistency of the crepes themselves. She only ate one of them. I thought my crepes were delicious. The crepes had texture kind of like a corn tortilla. They were not as hard as a hard shell taco or a soft taco. Somewhere in between. The flavor was really good. My son ordered a brigadeiro which is essentially a brazillian version of a bon bon. They both liked those so much that we had to make a return trip! They ordered some teas with their meal and I ordered a house drip. I must say their coffee is excellent! We returned for the Brigadeiros and my daughter ordered an acai bowl which she devoured. So it's an excellent place for a healthy meal!

Tap is the absolute best! From the matcha green tea lattes to the amazing variety of delicious tapioca crepes, you can't beat this for breakfast. Good location, a quick 5 minute walk from the subway. Friendly staff. Only complaint is it is a small restaurant with limited seating.

This is a good (but small) place for a quick bite. Savory and sweet crepes, cheesy bread, acai bowls, and a variety of drinks. Seating is limited. All gluten free. Will return again when on upper west side.

Ordered online , didn’t arrive , no updates from restaurant. Attempted calling however was unable to get through to anyone

Brazilian cheese bread (yum) and tapioca crepes and wraps. Enjoyable lunch, be warned that crepes are quite filling though. One of these is a large meal.

Went on the hunt for a gluten free hot breakfast and was definitely not disappointed. I tried the veggie wrapioca. It was delicious! Cooked to perfection and so fresh. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, even if you're not gluten free!

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they lacked a bathroom. I think any eat-in establishment should have one. I tried the tofu scramble with crepe. I know the crepe had cassava flour in it, but not sure what worse. Anyway, whatever it’s made of, it sure was delicious! I would highly recommend this place for most food types including vegan and gluten free.
Tasty and gluten free
TAP is a certainty for gluten-free. 100%, and all very very good. the sandwiches made with tapioca are tasty and especially the cheese and pesto sandwiches are truly delicious. very good and thank you.
